Parents
Warnings: physical, sexual and mental abuse, lobotomy and suicide.
Sheila and Matt
Jeff the Killer and Liu's parents
They met in university and got married after they both graduated, later having the kids in their early 30s.
They're both fluent in English.
Matt was the CEO of a firm and Margaret was a fashion designer. They both were successful, and became rich.
They weren't good partners, both were negligent and were very strict on the kids, and forced them to do extra curricular activities after school in order to keep up a certain image from the neighbourhood.
Sheila and Matt fell out of love awhile ago, and only stayed together in order to prevent rumours. They barely spoke to each other and when they did it usually became argumentative.
When Jeff came out as demisexual, they didn't really understand what that was but tried to learn.
They knew there was something wrong with Jeff from the very beginning, but they didn't the extent or know how to help him and hoped it was something he could grow out of.
Matt slowly stopped caring for Jeff when he got in his late teens, thinking he was a lost cause, while Sheila tried to be more nice to try and fix his problems.
When Jeff came back from the hospital, they were extremely stressed out and weren't sure what to do, they were afraid the damage was irreversible and he might be homeschooled.
When Jeff attacked Matt, Matt had overpowered him and kept punching him, yelling at Jeff saying how much he hates him. However Jeff evidently overpowered him and killed Matt.
Matt used to hit Jeff and Liu when they were younger, he stopped as they got older.
Bridgette and Miguel
Randy and Sully's parents
They met at a store Miguel was working at while both were on break. It took awhile for them to get married, but eventually they saved up enough money to have a very small, simple wedding.
She's fluent in Spanish and English, he's fluent in English.
Bridgette used to work for Matt at his firm, she eventually was fired and was relying pretty heavily on Miguel for financial support.
While Bridgette could never afford university, Miguel could with the help of his parents and was studying to be a doctor, however he eventually drops out because he wanted a change that was less stressful.
Bridgette didn't want kids at first, because she wanted to make sure they had enough money to look after them, but she caved after Miguel wanted kids.
They had two kids together, however after having Sully, Miguel and Bridgette divorced, one year later on their anniversary Miguel committed suicide, because of all his unchecked mental health problems. He died at 33.
Miguel never got much sleep because of constant stress and paranoia, so he's always had eye bags
and was always tired.
She never really told the kids off and just let them do whatever because she didn't know they were doing such bad things, because she was always either to drunk or high.
Miguel and his side of the family in general, had a lot of illnesses that had gotten passed onto the kids.
He has autism, his stims were hand flapping and clapping, his special interest were slasher movies.
He also suffered with severe depression and ASPD through out most of his life.
He sometimes scared Bridgette, as he had a short temper and would sometimes threaten to harm her or the kids. He wasn't allowed in the car with people because of it.
Bridgette was in a deep state of depression for the death of her husband and her worsened financial situation. She started smoking and drunk. Whenever she'd have to much she'd become very depressed and groggy, sleeping it all away.
She would bring home a lot of men after his death to try and gain money quickly, while also trying to form connections and be less lonely.
Because they never had much money, Bridgette wasn't able to pay for her or her kids therapy, so they didn't find out until much later what was wrong with them.
She never supported Randy and Keith's relationship as she thought they were bad influences on each other.
She's Panromantic, but didn't know and assumed everyone was like that, which is why she thought it was silly for Randy to make a big deal out of it and come out.
Bridgette is Christian, although David was atheist.
Bridgette used to take the kids to church, but they kept messing around so she just stopped bringing them.
At first She went just for the free food when times were tough, but eventually she got convinced and prays everyday for a solution for their money problems.
She's a really good cook and Troy would sometimes mention that she should open a restaurant, but Bridgette would just laugh it off stating that she'd never be able to afford -time wise and money wise-that sort of commitment.
Bridgette visited Jeff when he was in the hospital when ever she could, because Bridgette felt horrible for the boy, but now she wishes they just didn't bother.
After Randy went to a psychiatric hospital after Jeff's injuries, Bridgette shut down, she stopped taking care of herself, and got a lot more snappy. She felt like a failure and a bad mum, so she decided to not let Sully out of the house, unless he has school, so he couldn't get into trouble and end up like Randy.
Bridgette didn't want Sully to visit or call Randy when in hospital, because she didn't want Sully to see him.
She was disappointed in Randy and after he was released she kept talk to a minimum with him.
After Sully died, she became absolutely miserable, and didn't know how to cope with the lost of her kids.
Sarah
Ben Drowned's parents
She was always worried about Ben, and her worries only intensified when he ran away.
Sarah loved to play games, especially with Ben on the weekends. Her favourite game was Silent Hill.
She always felt a bit distant from Ben, she'd get closer but it always felt like it wasn't enough.
After she helped everyone in the digital world, she was deleted by Kelbris as she was seen as an anomaly. Because Sarah was digitalised before it, she died and is still in the hotel, rotting away.
She was the 423th person to be successfully ascended.
She died at 29.
She had Ben when she was 18, Bens dad wasn't ready and left Sarah at the hospital and was never seen again, she never let it go and didn't want to mention anything about him to Ben.
she worked two jobs trying to support themselves, Sarah was constantly tired.
Sarah was a very kind and compassionate person, always helping people, when she was younger she did it to much to the point she wasn't taking care of herself first.
Maria and Caleb
Nina the killers and Chrises parents
They met at a bar when they were in their late teens, they drank and danced together, eventually exchanging numbers and than dating.
Maria worked at as a cashier in a dead end clothing store, and Caleb was a bartender, none of them made big money, however they made do with what they had.
Maria grew severely depressed after having Chris, eventually it got so bad she had to go on several different medications.
When she was feeling this way, Caleb offered to do most of the chores.
They were very negligent with their kids, because they were to focused on partying or working. They loved them, even if they never showed it. They'd usually apologise, but they never kept it and kept going out.
They used to have an occasional drink or smoke to relieve stress, but it eventually became to expensive and had to quit.
Maria never finished Highschool, dropping out at the age of 17. Unlike Caleb who had finished university with a degree in psychology.
Elizabeth
Monday's child's mum
Elizabeth had Christabel at the age of 17, back in 1687, the dad left when he found out she was pregnant. Her parents were very catholic, and kicked her and christabel out of the house to fend for themselves.
The guy was her first love, and she thought she'd marry him one day. Even after he left, she would pray every night for him to come back. He never did.
After being shunned from her family, she was also completely shunned from her whole community, as she was seen as a sinner.
She hated Christabel for a while, but she also felt guilty for feeling that way, Elizabeth sometimes couldn't even look at her though.
Eventually she found a new, welcoming village, where she eventually had Christabel.
She was still catholic, even when she was kicked out. Elizabeth even started teaching Christabel about the religion.
Christabel and her had gotten attacked by vampires, because there was an ambush on her small village. After she saw Christabel get brutally mauled by a group of vampires, frightened for her life, she ran away to a safe location.
She felt absolutely horrible after not being able to save her daughter, because of her guilt and her not wanting to turn into a vampire, she ended up killing herself a few minutes later.
Frank and Connie
Toby and Lyra's parents
They were together since university, back than Frank was a decent person that Connie loved.
After years of being together they had Lyra, and it all went downhill from there. Frank started becoming more sour, and quicker to anger, eventually turning to alcohol and smokes, now becoming what he's more known for.
He eventually lost his job, after all that drinking he couldn't be bothered to leave for work and after months of not showing up, he eventually got fired.
Connie kept asking him when he's going to get another, and that's when he first laid hands on her. 2 years later and they had Toby, Frank in this time managed to get another job, though he ends up losing it again that same year.
Even after all the abuse they all endured, Connie still loved him, she refused to believe he's that bad, when Lyra told her about the sexual abuse, Connie couldn't believe it, she refused too and told Lyra to stop making up stories, afterwards she started to actually believe it and asked Frank about it, in response he bashed Lyra.
She does a lot of the chores around the house, Frank barely does any however, he's usually just sits on his chair watching sports while drinking.
At this point they aren't even sleeping in the same bed, Connie sleeps on the couch or in with Lyra.
They barely leave the house, Connie only leaves when she has work, but even then her shifts had slowed down. She stopped visiting her sister, and stopped answering her calls.
Frank usually leaves on the weekends to go to a bar with his mates, otherwise he's in the house a lot too.
When Frank died, Connie was heartbroken, she couldn't believe Toby could do such a thing or why he'd even kill Frank of all people.
After Lyra's death, she was less lively, more slow and drained, barely even talking. Frank didn't even turn up for the funeral. Like all of his actions however, she made excuses for him.
Connie babied Toby a lot, because of all his conditions she didn't let him do much by himself, he'd have to have Lyra with him. She didn't let him do any chores or anything.
She survived the fire, she has a lot of burn scars and needed a lot of surgeries, her sister and Connie couldn't afford a lot of them and so she was left more disfigured than she could of been.
She'd visit Franks grave a lot, even though her sister insisted she doesn't. While there she'd also drop Lyra some flowers and apologise.
She dies in her sleep in her sisters house at the age of 50.
Mary and David
Clockwork and Lucas' parents
They were very traditional people, and had gotten married before having kids.
They were very loving to each other at first, but as the years passed they fell out of love, but never divorced. They barely spoke to each other, when they did it'd usually end in a screaming match, sometimes it'd even get physical. Eventually they stopped sleeping in the same room, David slept on the couch while Mary had the bed.
They were strict with their kids, and gave them a lot of chores, didn't let them go out much unless they had school or work and wouldn't buy anything for them.
Once Mary saw one of Natalie's gorey drawings, she was disgusted at how inappropriate it was and showed David. David was furious and started yelling at her.
A lot of the time chores wouldn't get done because Natalie and Lucas could only do so much, and they barely did anything, Mary was always on the couch watching tv with a cigarette, while David was always out at a bar or out with a different girl.
After Clockwork sewn the thread in her cheeks, David caught her and put her in therapy, they paid for a few sessions, but afterwards Clockwork had to pay for herself.
Loretta and Zalgo
Lazari's parents
Loretta was constantly trying to have a child, with her husband Ivan, but it never survived. Desperate, they unknowingly joined a cult that promised they would make their life better, and give them a child.
Years later, Zalgo came, appearing as a guy named Evan Harrison, promising that he is the divine being that is going to give her a child, she caved and
After 4 months, she gave birth and couldn't be happier.
Ivan was furious that she cheated, and after a heated argument he left her and the cult.
The cult and Loretta noticed Lazari wasn't normal, and that she was an extension of Zalgo.
She'd always bring Lazari everywhere she went, She cherished and spoilt Lazari all the time, and made sure she was loved and happy.
Everyone had big expectations for Loretta and Lazari and worshipped the ground they stood on.
Loretta would always get gifts for her and Lazari, one of them was Gums.
She didn't know how to look after a Zalgoid and was stressing out, she couldn't understand why Lazari looked so malnourished.
Loretta let pleading for Lazari to tell her how to help her, but she didn't know either.
Loretta had a lot of pressure from the others to help her.
Once Lazari started getting violent, and as a last resort Loretta put her in the basement until she figured it out.
She would cry a lot afterwards because she felt like such a bad mother.
Loretta still tried giving her all the love and care, she tried giving her a hug to reassure her that she's still loved, but Lazari ended up eating her.
Marie and Frank
Sally’s parents
They were very loving and pampered Sally, and didn’t know how to cope with the loss of their child.
They met at high school and have been dating since, eventually getting married and having Sally in their 20s.
Frank worked at a firm and Marie was a stay at home mum.
She did most of the chores and looked after Sally, she was going to look for a job after Sally grew up.
After the death of Sally they were both distraught and Frank couldn’t get up to work and took a week off.
John was always there to try and comfort them.
Marie had been in a deep depression and couldn’t do any chores, she could barely get out of bed.
Once Sally came back to the house, Marie saw her and was terrified, she thought she was hallucinating and when she told Frank, they both agreed that she needed a lobotomy, they were hesitant at first but agreed her mental health was horrible.
The lobotomy did not go as planned, it improved her depression and at the time suspected schizophrenia, but she became brain damaged and couldn’t express her emotions well.
Frank didn’t trust her to do anything, so he stopped working again to look after her.
He became her caregiver until they died, he was in deep regret.
They let John set up in their spare room after his wife took the house.
He’d help Marie around the house.
After he died Frank and Marie became terrified and Frank became even more depressed.
They only found out John was a suspect in the death of Sally after John was already dead.
They couldn’t manage to go visit Sallys grave, let alone leave the house in general.
They loved going to the cinemas with Sally.
Marie died at 35 and Frank died at 56.
