༅Highschool Days/ Freshman Year

James and Mya got paired up for a project for their Geography History class. James was waiting for this opportunity to get closer to know Mya wanted to know her as a person, not a person whom he had a class with. After minutes of not saying anything Mya broke the ice and said something about the project. “I think we should do about urban land use and patterns and processes if you want to.” She waited for James to answer so they could get this dam project done. James kept staring at her face and her lips, then realized she was talking to him. “Oh sorry, I was distracted what did you say again?” He said awkwardly feeling embarrassed for not listening the first time.

Mya rolls your eyes and repeats what she said last time. “Well, I said we should do urban land use and patterns and process for our project if you’re okay with that?” She said tilting her head to make sure he heard what she said. He nodded his head agreeing with the idea for the project. “Yeah I’m fine with that…anything you want I’ll do it…” he smiled at her. She looked at him with a concerned look thinking to herself “What the hell is this n***a talking about…” but she shook her head. Nodding her head, James gets up from his chair to grab the supplies for the project.

During the project, they had to get information so they went on the school computer to find information for their project. While Mya was finding information for their project. As she writes the article down on a piece of paper James is just doodling and dallying on his piece of paper not knowing what to do…Mya's eyes looked at his paper and looked at him with addled curiosity seeing if she was picturing this with her eyes she blinked a bit to make sure she was not seeing anything wrong.

“James do need help with the information for the paper?” As you looked at him. “Yeah, I would like that if you don’t mind ?” He said with confidence in his voice, you nod showing websites to use to find the information for the project.

“So Mya…how are you feeling about this project…?” Tapping his pencil on the edge of the desk.

“I’m feeling good about it and what about yourself…?” As she looks away from her paper

“Same honestly, this project is going to be a piece of cake…” James laughs out loud.

“Yeah tell me about it…” she said with annoyance.

“Mya, do you have a boyfriend you seem to have one ?” He questioned her relationship.

“Uhm no my parents don’t let me date…I’m too young anyways.” She said to him.

“Young you’re fourteen or fifteen years old that’s when you start talking and dating …” he said trying to convince her to try.

“James finish your work please…” cutting off the conversation.

End of story

I think Spring has sprung here on the Hill! We have been bottling all winter, baby goats are arriving (5 so far and lots more to go), some days are pleasant outside but we also have indoor seating, flowers blooming, trees budding.
