bonus objectives
The primary purpose of life is, depending on who you ask and what mood they're in, to live virtuously, to be of net benefit to the world, to enjoy yourself, to pass on your genes, to pass on your memes, or nothing at all--or some other bit of boring nonsense. The following are your bonus objectives. Point values are loosely based on a combination of difficulty, pointlessness, and entertainment value.
Get the IAU to name a planetary feature, solar system object, star, or exoplanet "Butthole." (5 points; +5 points if it's a crater) 2. Convince at least one U.S. state to officially allocate its electoral college votes to a nonhuman primate (5 points) or other animal (10 points).
Have a news story reporting your death be a major international headline (e.g., the number 1 post on Reddit for the day). (1 point; +9 points if you are not otherwise famous)
Become the first internationally recognized Emperor of Mars. (5 points)
Be the cause of a major revision to the UNCLOS. (5 points)
Mend the Great Schism/heal the Sunni-Shia divide/reunite Western Christianity. (10 points each)
Uplift a nonhuman animal to the point it can speak, write, or type a natural human language at least as well as a 10-year-old native. (10 points; +20 points if it's not a mammal; +20 points if it can also win a FIDE-recognized chess tournament)
Domesticate bears. (10 points)
Solve one of the remaining Millennium Prize problems in mathematics. (10 points each)
Build a medieval-style castle on the Moon. (5 points)
Receive a valid letter of marque from King Felipe IV, or his successor, and use it to capture a British-flagged vessel. (5 points; +45 points if you do this at or beyond low earth orbit)
Unite two non-Commonwealth countries in personal union. (1 point; +4 points if they're on different continents; +25 points if they're not monarchies)
Have Liechtenstein declare itself an empire, without its borders changing (5 points).
Convince Istanbul to change its name back to Constantinople, or Tokyo to Edo, or Mexico City to Tenochtitlan. (5 points each)
Convince Greece to change its name to South Macedonia. (25 points) 16. Successfully hoax the world into believing they're being contacted by aliens for at least a week. (15 points; +50 if you've got actual aliens on the line)
Start a new religion that gains at least 10,000 followers. (1 point; +4 points if it's not an offshoot of an exisiting major world religion; +10 points if it doesn't closely reference any major world religions' mythology or theology at all; +5 if that includes not borrowing any major new age or neopagan concepts; +10 if you do all this on, or convince your followers to move to, another body or planet in the Solar System; +10 if your religion subsequently becomes another major world religion; +25 if it's *not* principally a Scientology-style scam; +50 points if the place in the Solar System you establish as your religion's spiritual center is the one you convinced the IAU to name "Butthole")
Start a new political ideology that wins power in a UN member state. (1 point; +4 points if it's not just a cosmetic rework of an existing political ideology; +5 points if you win power through constitutional means; +10 points if you manage to retain power for at least 5 years)
Circumnavigate the globe under your own power. (10 points)
Leave the Solar System (dead or alive). (15 points; being on an escape trajectory will suffice for the purposes of scoring, unless that trajectory is likely to be intercepted or disrupted by a solar system body like a planet or asteroid; +50 points if you're somehow still alive when you hit the heliopause)
Touch an object of interstellar origin on an escape trajectory from the solar system (such as 'Oumuamua) and say "Tag, you're it," while remaining in contact. (20 points)
Develop a conlang that is used regularly by at least 10,000 people. (15 points; +25 points for every order of magnitude increase in users after that number; +100 points if it becomes a standard international auxiliary language spoken at least as widely as English)
Invent a word that makes it into OED. (1 point; +4 points if it makes it into desktop-sized abridged dictionaries)

GHOST: THE EMPIRE IN THE HEAD OF TOBIAS FORGE
Radio Metal
Tumblr media
Thursday, July 21, 2022 by Cyrielle Lebourg-Thieullent
There is an unrealistic wish, especially among right-wing people, that we should not talk about politics in music, but I don't see how we could do otherwise.- Tobias Forge »
Interviewing Tobias Forge is always frustrating. Why? Because we never have enough time! Even if his identity has been officially revealed with Prequelle (2018), it is clear that the man behind Ghost still fascinates, both by his success, a result of a sharp vision he has for his project and music, but also by his ability to think. Ghost is above all entertainment, of course, but behind big show satanism, there are always pretences, tracks to clarify and a more "real" dimension to explore.
At the end of our last interview on March 21, on the occasion of the release of Impera, we were far from being able to discuss everything we wanted with Tobias. This is why we seized the artist's visit to Paris a few days before Hellfest as an opportunity to continue our exchange and, in particular, to deepen his vision of art, but also his concept of the cycle of empires, drawing a parallel with what we are experiencing today. As always, the exchange was too short, but exciting and sincere.
Radio Metal: All the songs on Impera - and even in Ghost's discography - have in common a great sense of hooking, but otherwise, you touch a very wide variety of styles that change from one song to another. As a musician and listener, are you quickly bored?
Tobias Forge (vocals & instruments): Good question. I listen to a lot of different styles of music. Everything revolves a bit around pop rock and metal, but I have always listened to all kinds of "music of choice", that is, things that I listened to myself and chose to bring home, and that were relatively noisy compared to what the rest of my home generally listened to. I have also always had an ear turned to radio and the hit parade, especially in the 80s and 90s, but not so much now. So I think that what we hear being filtered through Ghost is all my childhood and adolescence that merge, and that's all that goes from underground music to sweet pop, classical music and all kinds of things. I try to reflect this joy in Ghost. It's random: sometimes people adhere, sometimes not.
It's interesting as, sometimes, there is a contrast between the title of a song and its musical content. For example, "Call Me Little Sunshine" is very dark. Conversely, "Darkness At The Heart Of My Love" is very solar. Do you like to destabilize the listener and play with him?
Exactly. I think it's also part of the satirical and cynical way I try to be funny. I have this type of humor. An example that comes to mind from the outset, by way of comparison: I know that many people find The Smiths or Morrisey a little sad, that his words are sad and bitter, while I, most of the time, find them very funny, in the same way that Oscar Wilde - whom Morrisey, I imagine, tried to copy - was quite funny but in a very I think I'm going a little in the same direction, and there is always a balancing act being played out, that is, if there is a sweet side, I always add a touch of salt elsewhere so that it is balanced or equal.
Concept level, Prequelle and Impera are both based, directly or indirectly, on rather dark observations on the state of the world. Impera even goes to political ground. Do you think it is the role of the artist to be an observer but also to take a position from these observations, to sound the alarm?
I think most of the artists I know, with a few exceptions, write about what they see and experience. I think it's very natural. This is not a rule or a preference. That's just how it usually happens. You work with what you have, with what you see, in the same way as a humorous sketch author, a screenwriter or a writer... If you know the author or his or his or her story, you know that there are many anecdotes that he or she has experienced and incorporated into his or her texts. Indeed, what else will he use? If you plan to write a film about people, you will write about what you know about people, right? So I think there is an unrealistic wish, especially among right-wing people, that we should not talk about music politics, but I don't see how we could do otherwise. The only thing we could do would be to do it in the manner of Tolkien so that it doesn't look real, but even when you read The Lord of the Rings, it's a very poignant and realistic criticism of the dictatorship, and nothing but the existence of the Ents as forest lords who hate men because they destroy it... It's very simple
I don't know the answer to your question. If you don't feel like writing about it, don't do it. If you feel like you're doing it, do it. Your only job, so to speak, if you intend to monetize what you do or, in a way, to please an audience or if there is momentum to maintain, is to choose the words you use well. You may want to choose how you mix your cocktail, because in the end, you present it to someone else. You have to pay attention to what you say, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't say things, it just means you have to be aware that what you say can have an effect. But it also applies if we sing "hail Satan" and other things.
I think that's also the problem right now: there are a lot of people in the West and during most of the history of pop culture, most of us Westerners were on the same side. It was easy to say that Margaret Thatcher was a sadistic slut. It was easy to throw stones at Dan Quayle and all these old personalities of the past, because not only was there a gap between rich and poor, but there was also one between young and old. It was not always a political position, it was also a generational difference. Many of these limits have been crossed now, because even a senior citizen today loves rock and roll and everyone listens to Jimi Hendrix, so there is not the same generational gap between a culture lover and an old chnoque. Now, with everything that has happened in the last two years, full of rock fans in America whose girlfriend has aborted, who like to smoke grass and who like to listen to rock and roll in their garden, all of a sudden, find themselves to be freedom fighters. It creates a lot of chaos, and it's not only in America, it's also everywhere in Europe.
It has created a new kind of left and right. So with many of the traditional elements of rock and roll about which we have been singing for fifty years, all of a sudden, people are there: "Don't go in it. Don't talk about your feelings. Have you ever listened to "Street Fighting Man"? Have you ever listened to "Gimme Shelter"? Have you ever listened to any rock and roll song? Do you think "Down Payment Blues" is a fictional song that talks about nothing? This is stupid. Most of the interesting music I know is semi-political in one way or another, but it's just that now people are there: "Don't touch politics, man. Don't do that. But it's a new trend and it will pass too.
As was last mentioned, Impera talks largely about the greatness and decadence of empires. You said that there was "a natural cycle where a society is built, perfected, and then generally collapses". Do you think we are at the stage of collapse right now, at least in the West?
No collapse. I believe that most empires very rarely disappear. Just, they are transforming. I think we are at a time when some changes will occur, probably in a few months to a few years, and some key imperial structures will potentially disappear. In fact, I am a fairly optimistic person. So I feel that those who will disappear are those we consider the bad, because currently we are living in a time when at least two of the three or four worst dictators or aspiring dictators in the world are quite old. What we are fighting, at least in an obvious case, is a mental illness that is quite hard to define, because it involves a great blur. The other is fundamentally... If I want to be very kind and indulgent towards him, I can say that we can bring him back to reality, in a way, because he is a nostalgic person who dreams of the good old days of the KGB where people had no choice, and it is clear that he does not give any to his people. With a little luck, it is the consequence of his advanced age and a terminal illness. If you know or have any interest in the concept of karma, this guy has incredibly poor karma and the level of attention that is paid to him and the amount of money that is spent to eliminate him, it is comparable to any other dictator on the planet - if you don't go back than seventy years. Generally, when you have so much power against you, you are screwed, and the other will probably eliminate himself, because he is probably not far from the jail or the crazy house. I think that once these are out of play, there will still be bad elements on the planet but which will be far from being as influential as them, because an isolated buffoon in North Korea is not even comparable with these other two.
To return to your question, I think it is important for us in the West to keep in mind that this empire of which I believe we are most afraid or hate the most and want to see shaved is in the head of a madman, because empires can also exist in a person's head, in the same way that the Star Wars empire existed in the head of George Lucas. The latter simply found a mirror into which he could project it so that the rest of us could go in and out. I think it is our duty now, as far as possible, to understand that a crazy dictator is one thing, but that the Russian people are another, and that with a little luck, the window of forgiveness will be opened a little longer than it takes to eradicate cancer from this body, so that we can see the empire in its head collapse and a new appear, because physically So I see that the evil empire will fall, but that does not mean that the streets of Moscow and the Moscow people will disappear. The next step is therefore to leave the prospects open, so that when the black clouds disappear, we can become friends again.
All empires can transform, they can change shape and that's what they will always do. From the point of view of which I speak, which may seem utopian, there will always be forces within every empire, every situation, every era, who will strive to move towards what we have today. The problem is that today, we live with the culmination of several. We're talking about people we've known for as long as we remember - well, maybe not in Putin's case, but he's still been there for a long time. There are a series of events that have led to this madness. Same with Trump. It is a series of carte blanche and breaches that have led to what is now, potentially, a cataclysm. By finding ourselves between these two mountains, we have the impression that they will fall on us. To paraphrase Liz Cheney, there will come a day when he will no longer exist. There will be new ones, but I think it will be a long time before it happens, because it takes a lot of time for a hysterical imperial madness of such a level to appear. As a result, I believe that we are on the verge of a great upheaval and then there will be a time of tranquility to take stock. We will still have problems with other things, so I'm not saying that there will be peace in the world and that everything will be at the status quo, but that's the kind of imperial decline I see.
To be frank, I am a huge worshipper and believer of the world of Western pop culture in which I live. I grew up in a very Americanized country and with a mother who was very culturally enriching and embraced everything related to art and culture in Europe. I want the West to prevail, because I live in the West. I believe in our libertarian ideals - our choice of reproduction rights, our choice to listen to punk rock, noise, everything we want, and our freedom to say almost everything. So that's what I want. All those who do not want this [make a finger of honor], because I want everyone to be free to listen to everything they want, to stuff their reproductive organ in, next to or on whoever wants it to be there. Whatever the consequence, it is his choice, and if he comes to suffer, we have the means to ensure that he does not destroy his life. So I think it's important that all these things last and that's the empire in which I want to live.
You said that we "find to linear religions and it's very bad for us, because it makes us believe that life is one thing, so we just have to live it and in the end will come something else". On the other hand, some insist that one of our problems in our current Western societies is that we have become too materialistic and lack spirituality, and that we do not look enough at something greater than us... What do you think?
It's very hard to be linear, even when discussing these things. Finally, I can talk about it, but it's hard to have a position, because I am a rather materialistic person. I collect a lot of things, so I'm really obsessed with the physical manifestations of what I love and what inspires me, and I would feel existentially threatened if I didn't have that, but like anyone suffering from trauma, unless it kills him, I know that you can always find comfort in any situation. So I can't put the word into action. Like most people, I have trouble with the possible idea of dying. The only thing that works in my favor right now is that statistically, I don't have to worry about it yet, but as I get closer to it, I just hope I will accept it, so that intuitively I feel that it is part of the life cycle, but the fact is that I myself have trouble with it. I drive a car, I like it. I wish I had been vegan, but I don't. Like many other people, I do selfish things. I'm trying to improve. I see myself in the future as trying to improve every year in many areas, in my attitude towards others, in my way of looking at others. I think that's about all I can do with my own abilities, because like everyone else, I have my limits, and one of my limits is that I don't work if I'm not a consumer [laughs], unfortunately, because my whole life has revolved around pop culture.
I played a video game called The Last Of Us. As much as I liked this game, it was a painful reminder that, for me, it's not worth living in this world, because almost everything that interests me requires electricity and cooperation between people. Without it, I don't think this life is worth living, but it's my handicap. It's me. Maybe if I were put in front of the fait accompli... As I said about the traumas we face: we always find a way to manage them. I met someone once who had been arrested by the military on the street in Argentina. He was tortured in front of watching his girlfriend be raped. I was there: "How can we survive this? He told me: "As strange as it may seem, once it happens to you, you find a way to bear it. He languished for ten years in prison and came out: "That's how it is. I have never experienced this kind of thing, but it is proof that we are able to bear much more than we think. I don't know where I'm going. I just know that until I get to the end, I hope to be able to tell myself that it is part of a cycle and that I will have no doubt when it arrives.

What's Exalted? I'm asking you instead of googling because it'll be more fun this way
It's a tabletop game and setting by Onyx Path Publishing, formerly White Wolf Entertainment. The setting is inspired by mythological epics of the bronze age, as well as the kind of over the top action of fantasy and sci fi anime, western cartoons, comics, and video games.
Largely you play a human who has been Exalted, i.e. imbued with power from The Gods. And not just any of the gods (we're using Animism rules here, think the Celestial Bureaucracy of Journey to the West), the Big Dick Gods, the Incarnae. (Think the Olympian Gods)
The base game has you playing the chosen of Sol Invictus, i.e. the Unconquered Sun. His chosen, the Solar Exalted, are paragons of Human Excellence and channel his Golden Power into extensions of Human Skill. They're Gilgamesh, Batman, Musashi, King Arthur, King Solomon, Sherlock Holmes... Just to name a few types of characters they can easily play.
The Solars are currently illegal in most of the world however, hunted down as Anathema* by the chosen of the Elemental Dragons (and by extension, the Titan that made them, Gaia), the Dragon Blooded. Though weaker individually than the Solars, these Elemental Super Soldiers are much higher in number, and pass their power on through Hereditary Lines. While not really Benders, that's the best inroad I have to explaining them.
Their empire, the Scarlet Empire, is the Predominant Power of Creation, and their religion, the Immaculate Faith, is the Predominant Religion of Creation. But they're on the precipice of civil war, as the Empress is missing, and has been for five years. And her children, the heads of the five royal houses, are all horny to take the throne.
Meanwhile, the powerful ghosts known as the Death Lords made their first public move about five years ago, with the Mask of Winters taking captive the city of Thorns with an undead army and a plague that turned the bones of the city's people into puppets.
And finally, back to you, young Solar**. The Solar Exalted were dead to the world until about five years ago, when they started to reappear despite the best efforts of their enemies.
There's other types of exalted - the shapeshifting trickster chosen of Luna the Lunars (Sun Wukong, Coyote, Baba Yaga, Enkidu), the fate ninja bureaucrats chosen by the Maidens of Fate the Sidereals(James Bond with Enlightenment Martial Arts and Astrology Powers), the dark mirrors of the Solars and death knights known as Abyssals (Dracula, Frankenstein, most of The Locked Tomb), the demon princes of hell Infernals (Faust, Lucifer, Dante and Vergil Devil May Cry), and the Exigents chosen of lesser gods***
Among other, stranger varieties.
You try to save the world, because there's a billion threats - the Fair Folk from the edges of the world where reality frays, the undead and restless dead coming up from the rotting underworld, the demonic minions of the Yozi lords of hell... Depending on who you are, your list could also include The Scarlet Empire and its families, the machinations of Heaven and the Sidereal Exalted, the Silver Pact of the Lunar Exalted and their "barbarian" territories, the Guild and it's hold on commerce (including slavery)... Some games may even put you against the conspiracy against Heaven by Rakan Thulio and his strange Exalted-that-don't-exist, the Exalted Robot invaders of Autochthon, or the dreaded exalts known as Heart-Eaters and their armies of hollowed-out humans.
*Solars are not the only ones labelled Anathema - their partners, the Lunar Exalted, share that (primarily religious) distinction. Meanwhile, Abyssal and Infernal Exalted seem, to many untrained Immaculates, to be one and the same with Solars - so they share the label.
**As I said earlier, Solar is merely the default player type of the base game. While good - and I've labelled many character types they can be - all other types of Exalted are playable characters. Some are harder to get to work in a party, however. Older editions assumed most parties would all be of the same type of Exalt, though 3rd Edition is much more receptive to Mixed parties.
***Because Exigents are chosen by lesser gods - i.e. any god that isn't an Incarna - they can be almost anything. They're more common than any type other than Dragon-Blooded, but they have a huge variety to them. Rarely is any type of Exigent one that has many members the way other Exalts have - the God of This Volcano is unlikely to be strong enough to create more than one Chosen, though rarely the God of Schooling Fish might be powerful enough to make five or so.

What every (current) Pittsburgh Penguin will do once they retire, based 100% off of vibes
Jason Zucker: that “help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” life insurance commercial
John Marino: race car driver. he will be sponsored by chips ahoy and he will be shockingly good. later a scandal will come out where he admits he never got his license or learned to drive, all his driving experience comes from those driving games at the arcade.
Bryan Rust: laser tag employee.
Kris Letang: modeling. he will appear in cologne/Armani commercials forever but (hopefully) gets his start doing underwear modeling
Evan Rodrigues: dog breeder. specifically huskies. he will be shockingly good at it and end up with a husky breeding empire. people will come from thousands of miles away and be on six month waiting lists to get one of these adorable little puppies.
Jeff Carter: carts will try his hand at lots of different things. shampoo commercials, bud light platinum ads, hiring a team of researchers to try and find a way to re-grow teeth, etc. he will eventually settle down but decide he needs more from life and run for head of the PTA board at a local K-8 school. he will win in a landslide.
Casey DeSmith: he will first take a gap year to travel the world playing disc golf. he will return a father and end up being the hot single PTA dad that all the PTA moms are deeply in love with. somehow he and carts will be on the PTA at the same school. they did not coordinate this at all.
Jake Guentzel: spokesperson for the milkshake factory. he will star in a commercial where is is forced to lip sync and dance to that song about the milkshakes bringing all the boys to the yard. it will be hilarious.
Chad Ruhwedel: chad will own a gourmet salad food truck. all of the vegetables will be home grown and the food truck will be solar powered.
Kasperi Kapanen: will settle down as a humble vegetable farmer. he will supply runwedel’s food truck and also make a corn maze every year.
Teddy Blueger: will run for office as a joke and end up winning. he will actively try and get himself impeached but whatever he tries backfires and ends up making him look like a great president when in reality he just did it as a dare.
Brian Boyle: will run a non-profit cat cafe/bookshop where 100% of the proceeds go towards cancer research.
Louis Domingue: baking, obviously, then go on to found and host 17 seasons of a hit TV show where former pro athletes have to make dainty pastries + spicy pork and broccoli.
Brian Dumoulin: dumo will go on to be a tiktok chef. every video will unintentionally be a thirst trap. he will also be a contestant on the first season of louis’ show.
Rickard Rakell: olympic table tennis champion.
Danton Heinen: will be mistaken for a crime boss and used by the fbi as a doppelgänger for a sting operation. he will return a national hero.
Mike Matheson: high school history teacher. will also be roped into coaching the football team, even though he doesn’t know anything about football.
Evgeni Malkin: will join the nhl tnt crew. he will be a boisterous and very entertaining presence. he will try and fight wayne gretzky at least once just to say that he fought wayne gretzky.
Sidney Crosby: will take a break for a while, occasionally guest starring on tnt alongside geno. then will take over as head coach of the pens once sully retires. he saves his excitement for the ice. (iykyk)
Marcus Pettersson: his nickname is ‘the dragon,’ apparently, so he’ll either be a mascot or will own a fantasy themed mini golf place. possibly both.
Brock McGinn: youth hockey coach. he will get really, really into it and consistently win the league. he achieves this feat by making the 7-10 year olds go a ridiculous amount of drills.
Tristan Jarry: will somehow end up as head coach of the boston bruins. his first order of business will be to tape up signs saying “how about that f*cking save?!” all around the locker room.

I am forcibly dragging you back to the stage GIVE ME MORE KNOWLEDGE
OKAY IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT MORE. since i did not watch The Dog's stream i will b referencing this post for most of my rambling.
so like. the first thing that sticks out to me is the canonization of the dream smp, obviously, but also empires. and this is for two reasons: both of these canons already have multiple realities/universes canonized within them. for the dream smp, we have c!cpk, who's a canonical dimension hopper; and for empires, we have shrub, who's backstory consists of her dimension-hopping onto the lands of s1 after her homeland was razed. cpk isn't what i'm gonna really focus on here, because to my knowledge, we don't really know a lot about his backstory (at least, not that i can find on the wiki. it doesn't even mention his dimension hopping, but considering its the dream smp wiki, i'm not surprised). i wanna focus on shrub.
so, shrub's backstory has her world being razed due to aeor banishing cohnal and exor's spirit; however, we also know that exor and aeor were gods in the lands of the empires smp. JUST like mianite, gods seem to exist in multiple (all?) realities, which is a SUPER interesting concept!! i'm using it, combined with mianite, to solidify this as more of a fact than a theory, going by the giga-verse concept. it also solidifies alternate realities existing in general, with c!pk possibly solidifying other realities in general (as in, not mirrors/similar to ours, but completely different realities with completely different people).
it also brings up an interesting possibility of, despite all existing within the same universe, each planet/solar system possibly being made by a different god. it'd explain how the gods were all still real, but how XD was able to make the dream smp and mianite was able to make, well, mianite. there's not "one" true creator, resposible for all of creation and the universe, but multiple ones designated to their own segments of reality.
REALLY focusing in on mianite though, i bring up my all-time favorite piece of lore: our universe is canon to their reality as another alternate dimension. by extension, that means our universe is canon to the dream smp, hermitcraft, empires, everything. and not in the sense that chat is canon, or twitter is canon, our actual reality. where their realities are just stories spun by creators behind a stream, broadcasted to hundreds of thousands around the world for entertainment. cc!ranboo is canon to the mcyt giga-verse, although in a different reality. that's not an au (not in the typical au sense, at the least), that's canon baby!!
i have so many more thoughts about the concept of death and the afterlife and whether it's the same throughout all planets/solar systems/galaxies, the implications of reincarnation and other lives, but that's. for another time. i have brainrotted enough here i think.

The Dracosphere's History 3 : Noteworthy Conquests
During its conquests, the Dracosphere has subjugated numerous other "lesser" civilizations and even hundreds of different races into its space-faring empire. Many of which failed to evade the imperialistic encroachment of the Dracosphere, but the ones listed here were the most note-worthy due to both their history and how they evaded invasion for longer than a year.
Thought to have been simple hunter-gatherers on a glacial planet called Zemys, the small-bodied Koldari lived as late Neolithic tribal states near the equator. To adapt to their ice age world, the reptilian Koldari are covered in specialized, fur-like scales. Chieftains are selected from "viceroy eggs" and sent to one of the polar temples, north for females and south for males, with minimal clothing or gear to make their way back alone. While traveling back, both Bergmann's law and the ichor they ingested take place within the chieftain-in-training, causing both extreme growth, fire-breathing and in some cases wings. These feats left the Koldari as a formidable fighting force against the Draconian invasion until their southern temple was destroyed, leading to their defeat and incorporation into the Dracosphere.
Out of all the subjugated races conquered by the Draconians, none were more loyal than the Pa'reetai insectoids of Odonass III. Governed by various caste-based monarchies, the Pa'reetai differ physically depending on their roles, such as the "soldiers" equipped with a stinger-tipped thorax and scythe-like hands or the slimmer-bodied "workers," all of whom have large compound eyes and long wings. When they were invaded by the Dracosphere, the Pa'reetai fought with courage, swiftness, and in swarms of innumerable soldiers. After the incursion, relations between the species grew surprisingly close, with the Pa'reetai often being used as entertainers, cleaners, and even reconnaissance agents for Draconian generals.
In the tropical world of Kank'ul, lived the serpentine Yigan who lived in isolated city-states. The Yigan worshipped a sun god called the "Father of All Serpents." The strongest state on the planet was an alliance of several Yigan city-states under the rule of the Viper King and his caste of warrior-priests. Yigan's specialty consists of jungle and desert warfare, poison-tipped weaponry, and close-quarter combat. Despite fending off Draconian invasions for years, they eventually surrendered. There are numerous reasons for Yigan capitulation, but the most defining ones are lack of resources, revolution against the Viper King, Yigan city-states siding with the Dracosphere, and a devastating alien epidemic introduced by the Draconians.
The Vulpitsune are a race of humanoid foxes that reside on the planet Huli. They managed to evade the Draconian invasion twice thanks to two well-timed solar flares that destroyed their fleets. Most Vulpitsune live in villages settled in mountain valleys and shorelines. After contact had been made, the Draconians hired most Vulpitsune as covert agents and mercenaries due to their expertise in deception, infiltration, and espionage that persisted on their feudal homeworld's warring states.
Since then, these intergalactic conquerors have been unmatched and have held dominion over a substantial portion of the galaxy for quite some time. They were unstoppable. That is, until they met the Grayliens of the Zetan Kingdoms. This meeting, which took place a few millennia ago, would change the way the Dracosphere perceived itself and the fate of the Milky Way.

I've started a new sci-fi world building project! The Seven Remnants (name is very provisional) are a cluster of solar systems connected through FTL-Rings. A couple of hundred years ago some huge fuck-ups stopped most of the Rings connecting human settlements from working, leaving only these seven in contact. In system travel is a lot faster than today, most systems can be crossed in a week or two. The three major political players are in the Systems 1, 2&3 and 4.
System 1 is run by some of the clusters largest corperations that managed to take it over about a centurie ago (which they did to create a tax haven for themselves). Points of interest are one settled planet which is a Coruscant-style city-world (and an absolute nightmare to live in), and two space stations: The Universal Stock Market and the Clusters largest "Entertainment" Station which houses everything from clubs to casinos, brothels and sport facilities and golf courses. A good number of corps also have archeologies on somesmall moons and asteroids
Systems 2 & 3 are run by a feudal monarchy. System 2 has 3 settled planets (which don't have names yet, so I'll just call them A,B and C). A and C are currently each ruled by 1 one king, B by two. The other poinsts of interest are two gas giant with a ring (which are hotly disputed between the different kingdoms because the mining rights are worth a fortune.) System 3 only has 1 fully settled planet and another one which has a smaller colonie on it and has started to be terraformed about 300 years ago. Both are united under one crown. It is also home to one of the clusters largest ship graveyards. The highest position of the two systems is that of emperor. The emperor is elected by his peers similar to the HRE or the early polish-lithuanian commonwealth. This works about as well for them as it did for my two examples. The two systems are an absolute mess, the empire has been in decline since the FTL-Rings closed. System 3 is also displaying secessionist tendencies, but hasn't made a move yet.
System 4 is a system with two suns that orbit around each other. Both suns are themselves orbited by a couple of planets. Each of these systems within a system is ruled by it's own society. Both of these are currently ruled by more or less liberal democraties (Again, I currently don't have names for these, so I'll call them X and Y). Sub-system X houses one fully settled planet and one which is almost completely terrafomed. It's also home to a world that has been shattered in the past. Sub-system Y contains two fully settled worlds and a gas giant with ring. Of the two, Y is currently more militaristic and conservativ (boardering on reactionary). X is currently a social democracy, but has had multiple periods of facist rule in the past from which it is still recovering. Both sub-systems are currently united through multiple treaties and form probably the biggest powerblock of the cluster, but are hindered by constant infighting and corruption. Of the big three System 4 (or more precisly sub-system X) is probably the best place to live in, but still far from perfect.
System 5 houses a very young colonie (like 150 years or so) that has managed to stay independend so far by playing the big three against each other. It's a democratic socialist project by people from all over the cluster that are fed up with how things currently work. It's still pretty small, largely irrelevant and in a very precarious position. It also houses a gas giant with a ring which is also able to be mined
System 6 is home and/or hideout to many of the clusters more obviously criminal organisations: Pirate clans, terrorist cells, etc. The only gravitational well is a black hole that is orbited a huge station and the wreck of another. There are also a bunch of smaller station, but those do not have transponders because their inhabitants don't wish to be found.
System 7 is more or less completely dead. Once one of the crownjewels of the empire, it's star went supernova only shortly (and pretty unexpectatly) after the FTL Rings closed. It reformed into a pulsar, destroyed three of it's original five planets completely and cooked the other two. The only "living" thing in System 7 is Rossum's Station, which is the only sentient AI in the cluster. No one knows how it came to be or how to build one like it. Rossum's Station generally perfers to be left alone, except in exceptional cases.
I started to build this as a setting for a hypothetical elite-style space-mining game with a way smaller scale that I'll probably never make, so that's why I mostly started with the number of systems I want and which bodies should be in them. My next goals are to flesh out the technology (mostly focused on ships and space, but also some more mundande things), the political systems and economies (and as such what exactly each planet looks like). Feel free to ask me questions about his world, it helps me come up with the answers (it's a very fresh world after all). Feel also free to suggest names for places to me because I'm really bad with names (ecxept for Rossum's station which I am unreasonably (heh) proud about)

Doctor Who Regeneration Series Revisited: The Tenth Regeneration
youtube
Rose: “You’re not making sense.” The Ninth Doctor: “I might never make sense again.  I might have two heads, or no head.  Imagine me with no head – and don’t say that’s an improvement.  It’s a bit dodgy, this process.  You never know what you’ll end up with." Rose: “Doctor!” The Ninth Doctor: “Stay away!” Rose: “Doctor, tell me what’s going on.” The Ninth Doctor: “I absorbed all the energy of the time vortex and no one’s meant to do that.  Every cell in my body’s dying.” Rose: “Can’t you do something?” The Ninth Doctor: “Yeah, I’m doing it now.  Time Lords have this little trick; sort of a way of cheating death.”
Story (from “Bad Wolf”, “The Parting of the Ways”, the 2005 Children In Need special, and “The Christmas Invasion”):
The Doctor, Rose, and Captain Jack are kidnapped from the TARDIS and forced to play reality game shows in the far future, where the penalty for losing is death.  The Doctor breaks out and discovers that the whole network of game shows are situated in a space station, and that the network controller kidnapped him in the hopes of using him to defeat her masters, who are revealed to be the Daleks.
The Doctor is astounded that the Daleks survived the Time War, and the Emperor Dalek reveals himself.  His ship was the lone survivor of a cataclysmic event (The Moment, as stated in the last entry), and fell through time to the outer reaches of Earth’s solar system.  Over several hundred years the Emperor harvested humans to slowly rebuild his Dalek army and was driven mad by his isolation, deluding himself to believe he was a god.
The Daleks now intend to invade Earth, totally complacent in its mindless entertainment, and from there build the empire up to conquer the galaxy.  The Doctor realizes the only way he can stop them is to build a Delta wave emitter using the transmitter of the station, but there’s not enough time to refine it.  As such any Delta wave emitted would not just kill the Daleks but the population of the Earth as well.
The Doctor tricks Rose into staying in the TARDIS, and he remotely sends it back to her own time, locking the controls.  Rose is furious and while back in her own time sees the words “Bad Wolf” all around her, which she had seen all through her adventures with the Doctor as if the words were following her through time.  She realizes that it is a message and breaks into the TARDIS’ telepathic circuits.  The TARDIS console opens and floods her mind with the energy of the time vortex.
Tumblr media
The Daleks confront the Doctor and he admits that he can not bring himself to commit genocide (again).  Just as the Daleks approach to exterminate him, the TARDIS arrives.  Rose steps out, teeming with the energy of the time vortex, now omnipotent.  She annihilates the Dalek fleet with a wave of her hand and resurrects Captain Jack, who had been killed earlier.  But the Doctor pleads with her that not only is it wrong for her to stay like this but the energies will destroy her.  She can not give up the power she now has, so the Doctor kisses her and absorbs all the energy into himself, before quickly breathing it back into the TARDIS.
After setting off into flight Rose awakens with amnesia of the events and the Doctor warns her of his impending regeneration due to the burn out caused by the energies.  After a paranoid rambling he regenerates and immediately notices new teeth.  Inspecting himself he notices all the changes in the regeneration and wants Rose’s opinion.
She denies that he could be the Doctor, instead suspecting a plot of some kind.  He tries to convince her he’s the same man but she’s still suspicious.  He asks her if she wants to leave and she’s undecided.  The Doctor sets the TARDIS controls back to her home at Christmas time but then succumbs to the effects of post-regeneration trauma, lapsing into a manic craze.
The TARDIS crashes onto the street and the Doctor wishes Rose’s mom Jackie and Mickey a Merry Christmas before collapsing into a coma.  While recuperating the Doctor becomes a target for robots dressed in Santa costumes. Meanwhile the invading force of the Sycorax has arrived, and Rose finds she may be Earth’s only hope.
Production:
As stated in the seventh regeneration article the viewing figures for the 1996 Doctor Who tv movie were very high in the UK. While the audio dramas and novels were in full swing it was also apparent the audience for the program never really left.  Producer Mel Young approached the then-current BBC One Controller Peter Salmon about relaunching the series and through them writer and Doctor Who enthusiast Russell T Davies was brought on board for contributions. However this fell through and Davies went on to work on a little unknown series called “Queer as Folk”.
By 2003 Davies had attracted enough attention as a writer to be brought back to the new Doctor Who project.  By this point the new BBC One Controller Lorraine Heggessey had completely cleared up any rights issues – as remember with the television movie, Universal, Fox, and BBC Worldwide had all been on the production.  But by now BBC television had the authority to pursue a series with no difficulty, opting to produce it with BBC Wales and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (the CBC).
Davies was to be not only the head writer but the executive producer as well.  Also producing were Phil Collinson and BBC Wales Head of Drama Julie Gardner. Those principal three would be the main creative driving force behind the new series. Casting calls were held for who would play the Doctor and the team settled with Christopher Eccleston, a man who had never been a fan of the series in the past.  In fact Eccleston would criticize the old series for its “wobbly sets”, although admitted he found the concept of regeneration fascinating.
No one was sure if the series would even take off, so they settled on making one season before committing any further. However when ratings pulled in 10.5 million viewers for the first episode “Rose” a second season was commissioned, and everyone signed up.
Except Chris Eccleston. He wasn’t too keen on the atmosphere of the set and had fears of being typecast, so he wished to go after the first season.  It was originally intended to be a surprise to the audience, since they were announced for another season, but the BBC accidentally released this information early against Eccleston’s contract.  Everyone was a little incensed and to this day Eccleston isn’t happy with how the BBC handled his departure.  Nevertheless Eccleston still to this day is proud of his time in the role and adores the fans of the series.
Tumblr media
Casted to replace him was 30 year old Doctor Who fan David Tennant.  Tennant had already done roles in many of the radio dramas and was thrilled at the opportunity to play his childhood hero.
You may have noticed the citing of many episodes for the story.  That’s because even though the new series format was to have standalone episodes, unlike the multi-episode story arcs of the past, Davies enjoys having plot points work their way through an entire season.  In this case Davies had written in references to the “Bad Wolf” in almost every episode, some of which barely noticeable.  The Children In Need special listed above was a seven minute charity piece that was a short dialogue scene as the Doctor feels his new body out before going manic.
As for the regeneration scene, a straight video morph effect with lights and energy were used.  Relatively simple but flashy enough to inspire those who had never seen a regeneration before.  And by setting it up with dialogue beforehand, the hope was that audiences wouldn’t feel alienated.
Analysis:
First off, I love Eccleston’s portrayal of the Doctor.  He’s a quirky guy totally unlike anyone else he’s every played in the past.  But he also shows a pain and a rage beneath that humour.  And as much as I loved Tennant’s performance I really do wish Eccleston would have hung around for one more season.
Nevertheless I was still pretty psyched at seeing a new regeneration.  After the effects of the last series, which were inconsistent, I was eager to see how much better this one would be. The budget was significantly better and we as an audience were far more emotionally invested in the event.
Okay so in regards to this “Bad Wolf” entity Rose becomes, it’s an interesting plot device and it would have seemed like a cop-out, if not for the how we’ve been seeing its effects through almost the whole season.  So I’m okay with it.  One might be wondering why Rose didn’t die from absorbing it while the Doctor did. To this I say that it makes sense that while the Doctor was imbued with its energies he reversed any damage to Rose before putting the energy back into the heart of the TARDIS.  One wonders about those continents the Daleks fried before they were stopped.  Rose brought Captain Jack back, what about all those people?  Who knows.
Back to the heart of the TARDIS, this was a concept that has been around a long time.  The first reference goes back to the First Doctor in a 1964 story arc that has been retroactively titled “The Edge of Destruction.”  The TARDIS is being plunged back to Event One and will be destroyed.  However the Doctor and his companions don’t realize this so the TARDIS tries to warn them.  From that point on in the series it is explicitly understood that the TARDIS has a degree of sentience.
We even saw the TARDIS use these energies to revive Grace and Chang Lee in the TV movie, based on sentimentality.  And then in “Boom Town” when Blaine is trying to commandeer the TARDIS by holding Rose hostage she is exposed to the heart which rejuvenates her until she is an egg, giving her a second chance at life.  So undoubtedly when Rose and the TARDIS communicated, it gave her the power it needed to resolve the situation because of compassion for the Doctor.
Tumblr media
For most of the Tenth Doctor’s first story “The Christmas Invasion,” the Doctor is near comatose, expressing the regeneration had gone wrong.  So no Zero Room this time?  I’m actually of the opinion that it’s another example of the post-regeneration trauma manifesting itself as paranoia.  I honestly enjoyed how it was the smell of herbal tea that healed his stressed synapses and allowed him to recover. I also enjoyed the scene in which the Sycorax suddenly seem to be speaking English as soon as it’s apparent the Doctor has recuperated.  From that point on Tennant owns the episode, silencing those who doubted if he had the character to pull off the role.
No too much to say on this one, other than I really enjoyed Doctor Who coming back and the regeneration was very well done.  And with David Tennant taking over the reins, the series would see even greater ratings and an entirely new audience.
And Another Thing...
I really wish they’d go somewhere else besides Earth.  They’ve got the whole universe to explore!
The Tenth Doctor: “Now then, what do I look like?  No no no no no no no no no – don’t tell me.  Let’s see.  Two legs, two arms, two hands, slight weakness in the dorsal tendon.  Hair!  I’m not bald!  Ooooh, big hair.  Sideburns, I’ve got sideburns!  Or really bad skin.  Little bit thinner, that’s weird, give me time and I’ll get used to it. I have got a mole.  I can feel it.  Between the shoulder blades is a mole.  That’s all right.  Love the mole.  Go ahead, tell me, what do you think?” Rose: “Who are you?” The Tenth Doctor: “I’m the Doctor!”

ARTICLE: Mavins And EMPIRE, Nigeria's Largest Record Labels, Are Bringing Back Group Albums
Tumblr media
Once upon a time, at the height of its dominance, Mo'Hits records released Curriculum Vitae, a group album that featured its entire roster. That included D'Banj, the self styled kokomaster and most recognisable figure of the bunch, as well as other stars at various stages in the journey to stardom – Wande Coal, Kayswitch, D' Prince, and Dr. Sid. At the wheels of production was DonJazzy, who then identified more as a music producer (and performing artist) than label huncho.
At the split of the record label, Don Jazzy took this custom of group albums with him, and he launched his new label in 2012, the grandly-named Supreme Mavin Dynasty (or Mavin), with Solar Plexus, a collection that featured the inaugural class of Mavin artists – Tiwa Savage joined by D'Prince, Dr. Sid and Wande Coal. This time however, the album fell acutely short of expectations, with the short time given to the artists to prepare it quite evident in the music.
The sonic quality of the album aside, its significance to Nigeria's music culture is worth noting for how it carried excitement for the future of Mavins. Sadly this was not to include another such group effort. Mavins went on to release a bevy of collaborative singles in the following years, with the quad of "Dorobucci", "Adaobi", "Arise" and "Looku Looku" all debuting in 2014, followed by the playful "Jantamanta" the next year. With these songs as well, delivering on enjoyability would prove to be rather hit and miss, as some went on to become cult classics, while others need articles like this to remind of their existence.
However, as Don Jazzy maintained an abstinence from group albums, this discography of singles did not coalesce more solid. The mantle was therefore left with other major labels at the time, and one of them, Empire Mates Entertainment, entered the 2010's spurred by the infectious pop rhythms of a young prospect known as Wizkid, who was then just getting set to take the wheels of Nigeria's afropop to the world movement. The label itself was a decade old, but without the immediate impact of Wizkid's signing would have mostly been remembered as Banky W's self owned imprint and the home of his albums.
Their group album arrived only a month after the Mavins', and it was titled Empire Mates State Of Mind, a play on Jay Z's hit single from 2009. On the LP, Banky W guided a small group of young artists (Wizkid, Skales, Niyola and Shaydee) through pop music, with most of the tracks laced with the expected excitement of artists on the rise to stardom on the back of a blossoming label. They would, however, fail to live up to this potential, at least with EME. Wizkid left in 2014 and with him, most of the label's creative spark and commercial potential. Skales and Niyola would depart within a year, shutting the door on any sequel to Empire Mates State Of Mind.
And since the label did not have the regenerative ability of a group like Mavins, which has survived through three clear cut eras since its existence, it was also the definitive end to any hope of a collaborative album from the label. Interestingly, Empire Mates Entertainment has been relaunched as a record label, with Banky W back to the early days of releasing his own music, except this time he has his wife as a fellow artist. If history repeats itself though, Banky W's talent scouting could well see him identify the next Wizkid and restart the arc that leads to another collaborative album.
In the meantime, we can count on other labels to satisfy our craving. In 2015, eight years after the existence of Chocolate City, the label launched its first collaborative album, The Indestructible Choc Boi Nation. By mere size the ensemble was one of the largest, comprising all label members at the time as well as budding talents of M. I.'s Loopy Records imprint that joined Chocolate City at the merger of the two entities. Also along for this ride was the returning Jesse Jagz, back after a 2 year hiatus from the label, altogether giving the album a staggering 13-strong cast. This conglomeration, as ambitious as it was, would not inspire the creation of any like projects, at least for a while. But this was not for a want of try.
2018 could have produced an even bigger album if not in size then in impact, for it was none other than Davido and his merry band of music makers at the helm. After the release, and success of "Mind" in January that was followed by the smash group single, "Aje", three months later, Davido announced a group album that would have debuted in June, 2018, and it was not a surprise considering the label's position at that time. Group albums are only born from record labels in complete stability, in that happy stretch between artist recruitment and the inevitable period contract non-renewals that is a marker for a record label about to make an exit. Group albums are also a mark of chemistry, and they may differentiate a record label that is a house for its artists and one that is a family, and DMW, especially in 2018, could tick all of these boxes. A collaborative album from them, however, came no closer to fruition than this announcement.
In 2022, two labels have a similarly firm grip on the industry, and this time, they've been able to bring the album creation process to completion. Mavins, the record label from earlier, is currently in the third lap of its existence, having survived the exits of its original batch of artists. But Don Jazzy's eye for talent is evergreen, and he's handed the end of each era with the growth of a newer one, with each batch of acts younger than the last, and with a higher ceiling to grow. The latest roster of artists, comprising Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon LADIPOE, Johnny Drille, Boy Spyce and Bayanni are a fine blend of young and experienced talent with Don Jazzy there to provide a guiding hand and help pave their road to the top.
Their project, Chapter X, serves to commemorate ten years of the label's creation, and the new stars are able to honour the legacy of their predecessors with a befitting piece. Spread across ten tracks (of course), these artists interact on themes of love and braggadocio, with one hand steeped in typical Nigerian music lyricism, and the other celebrating their ascendency as Nigeria's top music label, a contrast that was finely represented on the album's pre-released singles, "Overloading" and "Won Da Mo". Don Jazzy made the decision to have multiple artists on every track, rather than have each artist contribute a song or two to the collection, a choice that enhances homogeneity across the LP.
EMPIRE's African division, for its group album, Where We Come From, went in a different direction. It was always going to be difficult to achieve the same level of cohesion, seeing as its artists are scattered across the continent. Instead, they find strength in their diversity, which allows creatives from various rich African genres to share space on a single project for a catalogue of our continent's finest sounds. South African Amapiano sits beside Nigeria's Afropop, which sits beside Ghanaian Drill, creating a variety of flavour. Nigeria, being the music dominating country it currently is, contributes the lion share of creatives, and with Fireboy DML, Asake, Tiwa Savage, BNXN, Olamide, Wande Coal, Kizz Daniel, Bad Boy Timz, Cheque and L.A.X. all on this project, EMPIRE is able to show off its repertoire of Nigerian talent and strengthen the creative chains that link them to the rest of the continent.
As we spend what is left of the year savouring these group projects, we look to other burgeoning record labels to pick up the pace and take the reins next year. Nigerian music has never before enjoyed this level of attention, so these albums not only impact the population they are released to, but they can also serve as time capsules, serving a variety dish of today's music that can be accessed and enjoyed for generations to come.

4 ways to foster a sustainable business
A business today has to focus on creating a sustainable empire. From sourcing their materials to making the final delivery, even their back office or workplace practices should be sustainable. Firstly, it is the need of the hour. If the environment keeps paying for everyone's mistakes by cutting trees or letting the landfill overflow, there would be no planet to do business on. Moreover, your employees, clients, and customers want to work with sustainable businesses. Moreover, using eco-friendly practices can save your business money in the long run. So, how do you make your business sustainable, especially if that is not how you started? Well, here are a few ways to accomplish this:
Top tips to foster a sustainable business
Make it your mission.
Whether building the business from scratch or having an established brand, the best way to become sustainable is to make it the company’s mission. DIVYA EFFENDI
GENDER: Female
SPECIES: Witch, Effendi Coven Leader, Elder
Expert: Divination, Astral Magic, Solar Magic, and Dream Magic. Advanced in Potion Magic, Conjuration magic, Psychic magic (next expert), and Telekinesis magic
AGE: 87
SEXUALITY: Pansexual
OCCUPATION: CEO, Divinity Magazine. Divination professor.
DISTRICT:  Droitwich
HEADCANONS:
Although Divya can expertly control her divination magic it has been known to have a mind of its own from time to time. For that reason, Divya can often be found wearing gloves, unless she is in private or with someone she trusts. This is to prevent the possibility of accidental premonitions when touched or touching someone else, which she rarely does unless otherwise engaged.
Her familiar has and always will be Siamese cats. She’s had a fondness for them since childhood, growing close to her mother’s Siamese familiar, Shai, when she was a toddler. In Ancient times, the Siamese were known for their high intelligence and the receivers of the owners' souls upon death, thus they have been a staple of the Effendi Coven for centuries. Divya’s current familiar is a rambunctious Siamese devil named Kismet. He’s one of the very few things in this world that can make her cold heart melt.
Between her never-ending lessons in magic growing up, she was also privy to watching her parents grow their empire. As co-CEOs of Effendi Enterprise, a marketing and development conglomerate that quickly rose to the ranks to rival some of the other major players in the US, her parents ruled their empire and their coven with a firm hand. With their main firm being in Vievecor City, in the heart of Droitwich and across from Effendi Plaza, others also began to spring up in places such as San Francisco, London, Tokyo, and, New York. It was through her mentorship of her father and mother that Divya discovered her lust for power, eventually creating an empire of her own. “Divinity Magazine” is a subsidiary of Effendi Enterprise and a popular publication for topics such as wellness, fashion, and entertainment. Divinity is also responsible for creating the Vievecor City Gazette, the supernatural-only news bulletin. In connection with the techno-pagans of VC, the Gazette is written and developed by trusted, supernatural journalists within Divinity and distributed by the Remington Coven.
Despite being opposite from her fraternal twin brother, Divaym, she is fiercely loyal to him and her family. Their parents, a powerhouse in the Wiccan community, consistently pressured their children to strive for greatness, pushing them to succeed by any means necessary. It was through this pressure to be significant that the Effendi Twins developed an impenetrable bond. When Divya was chosen as the successor to the coven, Divaym was happy to watch her ascension, choosing to reap the rewards from the sidelines. He preferred his freedom to do whatever he pleased, ever the troublemaking prince of the family. The Effendi Twins are notorious for their bickering, but when they put their heads together, it is nothing short of excellence.
Although their home is predominantly in Vievecor City, the Effendi family can be found speaking with  a “British Accent.” This is a call to their high-noble status within their European and Indian heritage from their time before settling in VC.
PERSONALITY: Ambitious, Quick-Tempered, Alluring, Protective (of her own), Arrogant, Pragmatic, Intelligent
