I'm drunk and irritated so here's an adhd rant about hobbying:
I hate being adhd I really do. Sometimes people just have this inherent knowledge of things I just don't get. So for example. Recently, I want to make sourdough bread. I want to just make a loaf of bread. Something simple. Not overwhelming. And I can just eat something I made with no preservatives and it's just something to do other than be on my phone 24/7 forever because I'm not good at anything.
When you look up a sourdough recipes they're talking about gluten strength and bulk ferments and all these phases of bread with no guidelines whatsoever. How long is a bulk ferment? Where do you get all these numbers from. What's a base recipe? How do I know what hydration my starter I made with my "easy beginner starter". I want to use whole wheat flour and now everyone is giving me new numbers and formulas I dont know where you changed the ratio and when and what even type of bread is this anymore?
Anyways it feels like this whenever I do any hobby at all. Crocheting talks about double crochet and back stitching and frothing and it feels like I'm just googling terms for hours at a time and now I forgot what I wanted to do to begin with.

So, this is my second try at homemade sourdough. It smells lovely and looks fabulous even though I was like 50% sure it would fail. This gives me hope that the pizza dough I made will be beautiful as well.
Too bad i must wait for it to cool.
