Here's a study I did a while ago of a rose globe! This is something I got from a random customer at work (no, there isn't any context that would make that make any more sense). It was really fun to draw! I love and hate drawing shiny things at the same time, because the light changes depending on how you look at it. This causes problems for someone who (a) can't sit still while drawing and has to change positions every 4.5 seconds, and (b) has lots of younger siblings who like to hover right over top of me and touch everything. Still, it's very satisfying, and I like to challenge myself. There are things I could draw easily and they'd probably come out close to perfect, but I like to draw the more exciting things that are a little more difficult. The struggles of art!

my potion shop sculpture!! i think this one's a keeper; it may be my favorite artwork of the semester :]

this is made mostly of cardboard, but also some very thin (1/8") wood and a little bit of styrofoam for certain details. i adhered canvas to cardboard for the front sign and the stained glass window in the back; i really like how they turned out!! i always enjoy working with cardboard (esp. since it's cheap, accessible, and biodegrable!!), so maybe i'll keep experimenting with the cardboard and canvas combo :3

this is finished for now, but i might add a fence to the front lawn, a hanging sign on the left side of the building, and/or some more details on the chimneys if i feel like it.

anyways, hope u like :3 i'll post more sculpture projects tomorrow and on thursday, probably back to drawings after that? we shall see
