The Battle of Visby was a violent Medieval battle fought between the inhabitants of Gotland and the Danes, with the latter emerging victorious. The battle left a lasting archaeological legacy; masses of slaughtered soldiers and citizens lay scattered across what was once a blood battle field. Slashed and broken bones, skeletons still in their chain mail and armor, and smashed skulls, some still with spears and knives protruding out of them. One can only imagine what they endured before they breathed their last breaths.

🇸🇪 Example of a Swedish Army Tank Company reinforced for combat.
⚔ Each Swedish Mechanized Battalion has a Staff & Mortar Company, Logistics Company, 2 Tank Companies, and 2 Mechanized Companies. To create combined arms teams, maneuver companies are reinforced with units from within their battalion (and sometimes brigade).
⚔ In this example, the Tank Company has swapped platoons with one of the Mechanized Companies, making for 2 tank platoons (with Strv 122s main battle tanks, Leopard 2 variants) and 1 infantry platoon (mounted on Strf9040s IFVs, the new C variant shown).
Tumblr media
⚔ Also attached is a Pioneer Group from the Logistics Company (up to a platoon could be attached, in addition to brigade engineers). An Anti-Air Group on an Lvkv 9040 SPAA platform is also shown (more than one could also be attached, or none).
⚔ Forward observers, maintenance support, limited supply, and medical evacuation elements are organic to the company's Staff & Logistics Platoon. Note, the forward observer vehicle (the Epbv 90) used to not have a gun in its turret, or possibly a dummy gun, but recently there was a change that going forward all of the CV90s would have the 40mm autocannon.

For the Karin Boye stans among us this was Wille’s wall quote:

This is the first stanza of Karin Boye’s poem “Sköldmön” (Shield-Maiden) first published in 1924.
(Swedish)
Jag drömde om svärd i natt.
Jag drömde om strid i natt.
Jag drömde jag stred vid din sida
rustad och stark, i natt

I dreamt I fought by your side
armored and strong, last night.

The rise of both Mechamechanic and Dvattra in the OW shipping scene is funny because, while I haven't seen anything remotely resembling ship wars (probably because people don't feel like being an ass about liking a really recent crack ship a lot), it's funny to imagine them existing together as a much funnier than average love triangle.
Local depressed gamer tgirl and mech pilot has to choose between two lovers: one is a buff swedish girl who likes writing poetry, her cat, and working on her suit of power armor, and the other is the spiteful leader of the robot revolution. who also thinks ants are neat.
Normally I would bring up the opportunity of not making her choose, but honestly I don't know how well Brig and Ram would get along... maybe better than I'd think at first. Actually yeah no this is the start of my campaign for... god what the hell do you call this three-way ship, can't just slap the existing names together because that doesn't work, uhh... yeah someone else can figure that out.
regardless I hope everyone sees my vision I just came up with on the spot, you're welcome.

"Night on the Town"
"We dated for a year and a half, the reception-"
"-was a mess, absolute travesty. We wanted Swedish meatballs."
"They're just like vorma. Something both sides of the family can enjoy equally. And we all also equally shared in the food poisoning."
"But that's normal wedding stuff, which is kinda the point. The dinosovian conception of marriage has more in common with ours than not."
"There are compromises, of course, but neither of us is very traditional, so its easy to accommodate most of our family's little demands. Like, I took her name, which made my traditionalist mom and aunt very happy."
"And made uncle Robert very annoyed, which I greatly enjoy."
"But to be fair, in a nod to her traditions, we chose to live in our own home rather than a multi-generational arrangement, as is thyrene custom."
"Sweetie, plenty of humans live in multi-generational homes."
"Can you not print that last bit? My mom reads your magazine."
-Dyo (34) & Melynie (28) Sledge, Newlyweds
Dyo and Melynie were made using multiple midjourney generations, photo-manipulation, and digital painting.
Normally, when I post something of this complexity, I don't give full details because its just a massive volume of information almost no one will care about. But I figure what the heck. Might as well show it off once.
MJ can do theropods pretty easily (assuming you're not picky, don't want feathers, and it doesn't need a tail), almost any other kind of dino is going to be a collage process. Ankylosaurs are a major blind spot.
So here's just some of the prompts I used to make bits and pieces of this composition.
photograph of a humanoid snapping turtle with a large, thick shell
Tumblr media
an ankylosaurus anthro with a long, powerful, alligator tail, large, thick shell, green scales, white horns and spines, ankylosaurus tail, thagomizer :: long green reptile tail, over the ground, photography
Tumblr media
a green humanoid ankylosaurus, photography, nighttime city background
Tumblr media
photograph of a an attractive, heavyset woman with red hair wearing a sweater and jeans, standing on a city street, looking lightly up, friendly, happy, nighttime scene*
Tumblr media
a green ankylosaurus tail, photography, black background :: alligator tail ending in a knob of bone
Tumblr media
To get the image I wanted, it had to be built in chunks, assembled and then painted over and photobashed to blend the pieces.
Getting thyrene clothing to make sense requires some sci-fi hand waving. the smart-fabric cinches around the gap between the back armor plates and the main torso. The "hood" is a flap that buttons on one side and is open in the back. It's a cold weather outfit.
*Midjourney's dataset leans to extreme thinness, so 'chubby' or 'heavyset' will typically produce a normal looking thin-to average person, while "zaftig" or "plump" are required actual heavyset builds.

i’m almost out of drafts so here’s some pjo head cannons
-the demeter kids do most of the cooking at camp (like how the apollo kids run the infirmary they run the kitchen)
-also if they’re like starving they can photosynthesize and get energy from the sun and stuff
-will solace is mixed but sense apollo was his dad he was “sun kissed” and that’s why he has very light features. no body really knows because he doesn’t talk about it much, when nico went to meet his family he was surprised they were all black because will doesn’t have many of those features
-athena kids can control people to do what they say (almost like charmspeak) but they can only do it in a war or just a dangerous situation in general
-aries and occasionally athena kids can summon weapons or armor when they need to, like if something’s trying to kill them
-apollo kids are fluent in italian (it’s the language of music)
-hephaestus kids can weld stuff with their bare hands
-hermes kids are in charge of selling the strawberries (they can usually swindle people for a couple extra bucks) sense their dad is the god of trades and all that i think they’d be good with that kind of thing
-whenever zeus kids build static electricity it’s like 10x stronger than normal
-some hades kids (specifically nico because hazels powers are e more gem based) can mend broken bones by manipulating the bones
-percy jackson is pacific islander
-the norse mythology people can speak the scandinavian languages (swedish, danish, dano-norwegian, new norwegian, icelandic, and faroese) a lot of people can’t speak all of them but can speak a few
-hazel likes steven universe and makes frank and/or nico watch it with her
-dionysus kids can grow grapevines

Sweden’s best dressed man 2023. Omar Rudberg! Deserved 😍✨✨✨
The motivation:
No Swedish man personifies the fashion picture in 2023 better than the actor and artist Omar Rudberg. He constantly pushes the boundaries between male and female in a lustful and inspiring way of dressing. His wardrobe is based on contrasts between hard and soft materials, undressed and dressed up, minimalistic and extravagant. A 24-year-old style icon and role model for an audience of millions.
And his own words:
We at Café have appointed you Sweden's best dressed man in 2023. How do you look at that?
It's a great honor. I've seen these lists and thought I want to be on it too. So it feels crazy fun to finally get this credit. Because the older I've gotten, the more clothes have meant to me. It is a way of expressing myself and being able to feel like my best self. For me, clothes are also a defense mechanism. My armor that makes me feel confident.
(Hmm don’t really know how to translate “avklätt” the best way. Now it is undressed but not fully the same meaning. It’s more in the sense of showing some skin and revealing clothes than undressed. )

new interview with Entertainment Weekly: Stellan Skarsgård gave his Andor speech 10 times before he was happy
The Swedish actor opens up joining the Star Wars galaxy and building a revolution as Luthen Rael
By Devan Coggan June 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM EDT
Star Wars has always dealt in archetypes — the wizened mentor, the scoundrel with a heart of gold, the wide-eyed farm boy destined for greatness. But Andor introduces a far more complex character, one unlike any we've ever seen before.
Stellan Skarsgård plays Luthen Rael, a hardened freedom fighter and early architect of the Rebel Alliance. When the series begins, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) is still taking his first steps toward revolution. But Luthen has already spent years in the trenches, abandoning all personal attachments to try and kickstart the fight against the Empire. On Coruscant, he poses as a wealthy antiques dealer, donning a wig and peddling trinkets to the upper class — but he's secretly building a revolution, recruiting allies around the galaxy.
Star Wars has long positioned the Rebel Alliance as the good guys, the knights in shining armor determined to fight the Empire's fascism and cruelty. But Luthen is proof that revolution is rarely so black and white: He's willing to sacrifice anything — and anyone — to destroy the Empire.
The 72-year-old Skarsgård is no stranger to massive, otherworldly franchises, starring in Marvel's Thor movies and playing the villainous Baron Harkonnen in Dune. But the Swedish actor shines as Luthen, and he's since earned Emmy buzz for his weary yet determined performance. He plays Luthen with a single-minded intensity that's usually reserved for Star Wars villains, and he delivers Andor's most moving speech, explaining how he's burned his life to make a sunrise he knows he'll never see.
In an exclusive interview, Skarsgård spoke to EW's Dagobah Dispatch podcast about joining a galaxy far, far away. Here, he opens up about how he approached the morally complex Luthen — from that "tense" monologue to the joys of wearing wigs.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Take me back to the beginning. How was this character pitched to you?
STELLAN SKARSGÅRD: Tony Gilroy pitched it to me. He himself was a very great reason for me to take it. He pitched it and said he was going to make a story that is more real than the others. I know him and his writing, and every scene has an urgency to it. Every scene has a great tension to it. I got to read the first three or four episodes, so it was not a big question. And I said yes.
Luthen is a fascinating character. He's so driven and committed to the Rebel cause, at the expense of everything else in his life. What was it about him that you found interesting?
As an actor, it's interesting to play this guy who lives a double life and to make two different characters out of one. That was interesting for me, but he's interesting as well because he is extreme. He's like Che Guevara or the Rote Armee Fraktion in Germany or any terrorists, really. But also, as a revolutionary, he is like George Washington. So, he's got all those ingredients that make him very exciting. He has this conflict between doing the right thing and also being able to kill for the right thing.
You talked about how he lives this double life, and he really is a shape-shifter. We see him put on his wig, and he can suddenly become the shopkeeper from Coruscant. What interested you about the way he literally transforms?
Well, it was very funny. It's a great thing for an actor to do, to be able to play two characters at the same time. But I also love wigs! [Laughs] I think it's fantastic to put a wig on and be someone else.
One of my favorite moments in the season is that speech that Luthen gives, where he talks about why he does what he does. There's that incredible line about burning his life to make a sunrise he'll never see. What do you remember most from filming that scene?
I mean, of course I knew I had a speech that was very well written, and it was probably one of the best scenes in the season. And I worked on it. When we shot it, somehow I was tense. I think I said, "Let's go again, let's go again." I think I did it 10 times in a row, very fast, right on top of each other. 10 times, like "Go, go, go." And then it was good. Then, I was satisfied, and the director was satisfied.
Oh wow. It really is this intense moment.
Yeah, it was very intense.
I've spoken to Tony Gilroy and some of the cast, and they've all talked about the production design on Andor and how big the sets are. What was it like for you to walk around those sets and be in the Star Wars universe like that?
Well, I was very happy to be in that kind of Star Wars universe and not like in many films, where you're just in the world of green screens. Because it affects you physically when you have the set. You can't deny that. It was the same thing with the sets on Dune. They are physically there, these enormous sets, and you feel it in your body. You move differently. We had all of Ferrix built up as this city. It's very exciting.
Was there a day on set where you really felt like, "Oh my gosh, I'm in Star Wars?"
No, but I was happy that I had my own spaceship. I've lacked that in my career so far.
What's that like to get to pilot a spaceship? What's it like behind the controls?
[Laughs] You're like 10 years old when you sit down behind the controls. You become serious, and you turn the wheel and push the buttons and stuff. You become very silly, but it's very fun.
Tell me a little bit about working with Diego Luna on this. There are some really beautiful, intense scenes between the two of you.
He was also a reason for me to take the job. We met several years ago. We were supposed to do a film about football, but it didn't happen — not with us. It sort of broke down. So I've been waiting for him to do a film with me again. And I love the fellow. He's a true actor, and he's a true man.
I also love the scenes with you and Genevieve O'Reilly, where Mon Mothma comes to Luthen's shop. What do you remember most about filming those scenes with her?
I'm playing the Coruscant character there, which is much more flamboyant. But the first scene she entered, she came with this great limousine she has, flying in. She was much more sexy and beautiful, and she took over the space much more than I realized than she had ever done in the films. And then, of course, she has a great humor, so we had a lot of fun doing that.
There's a lot of really great actors that I met all the time there. It's so well cast. I had a lot of fun.
I know season 2 is in the works. How's that been going?
That's going great. I mean, Tony Gilroy has gone on strike, as of the first of May. He finished the scripts right on the day, and then he shut off the phone and disappeared into a picket line somewhere. So, we'll see. He claims that the [series] is director-proof and actor-proof, which means that it can't be destroyed. [Laughs] We'll see if it works.
Well, I can't wait to see what you guys have up your sleeves and where this story goes.
It'll be lovely. But I can't tell you, I'm afraid! [Laughs]
For more from Skarsgård, as well as exclusive interviews with Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, and more, listen to EW's Star Wars podcast, Dagobah Dispatch.

Background character sketches for "My Brother’s Child", a fic I've been writing for about a year. It is E-rated for s*x and graphic vio lence, but it's also full of Rise-style fluff, family moments, and humor. But I'm adding a T-rated version soon, and when I do, I'll drop the link.
The fic is generally about the different stages of love and loss the adult turtles go through during the apocalyptic future in the Rise Movie, and how things change over the course of the years until Time Travel Day. The fic is canon compliant, so all the losses suffered in the movie are, in fact, in the fic, or will be soon.
So i needed some background characters that can create situations for the turtles to navigate. Expendables, if you will.
This is the Mad Dogs Hockey Team (and a few others). They're Raph and Cass' scavenger squad full of ultra-strong weirdos. All their weapons and armor were made by Donnie during a fit of unbridled inspiration.
But anyway, in case you can't read my chicken scratch (from left to right) under the cut:
Denzlo:
-Stinky Boy
-Doesn't shower much to conserve water
-Fiercely Loyal to Raph and Cass
-Incredibly kind, but has a short fuse
Evans:
-Out of the Box Thinker
-Tall and Buff (gotta stay fit in the apocalypse)
-Smartass
-loves his wife, Spice
(Not on here, but recent lore drop in the fic, Evans was training to be a radiologist, so he's the group's de facto medic. He also loves stealing dried herbs/spices during scavenges to spice up he and his wife's rations)
Spice:
-Soft spoken and stealthy
-uses Donnie-Tech camo cloak
-high kraang kill-count
-loves her husband (they dance together at bad times)
-was a law student
Pietro:
-Angry at everything, was scared of mutants (still kinda is.)
-has two kids (Trish and Tai)
-unpleasant person in general
Quinn:
-Short Queen, sweetheart
-Used to be a mortician
-Goth, from Jersey
-Took care of Raphael’s body
Maya:
-A bit self-centered, brutal, sadistic
-likes cute things
-likes Mikey
-uh oh
The honorable Rabbi Venkman (Not a member of the Hockey Team, but one of Mikey’s 'Light-Steppers', the mystic warrior squad he teaches):
-handles all religious crises in the rebellion base
-Thinks the world of Mikey, learned mystic arts from him
-very tall and soft spoken
-very moral and fair, if a lil sassy
Delia Vardanyan (civilian):
-In charge of the war's orphans, takes care of all children on base when their parents are busy, in charge of their general education.
-HATES Donnie (likes his brothers, though?)
- Armenian immigrant. survivor of the original kraang attack. Very loud/outspoken. They found her eating MREs in a turned over battleship in the harbor.
-Trusts. NO. One. (Sleeps a lot)
Yuri:
-Was a tourist/exchange student in NYU from Sweden
-Struggles with English and has a very heavy accent
-Maya is his bestie by default bc she speaks fluent Swedish and was the only one who could understand him when the world flipped upside down. His English has gotten better over the years, but he still needs her.
-Speedy in battles. Will share his rations. Bit of an appreciator of the finer things in life, like wine.
-Maya and Yuri have both slept with Mikey. Mikey is quite a Casanova in the resistance due to his mystic mystique. (That... might change once he starts aging more rapidly, however...)
There's another page of characters, but it contains spoilers, so im gonna have to correct that before i show it.

[ID: A jousting knight, on horseback and wearing full armor, lance in hand, with cheering people and banners in the colors of the Swedish flag in the background. End ID.]
The Road is Made by Walking, Chapter 1: Gonna take on the world someday. PG-13, A Knight's Tale AU, Wille/Simon, romance/humor/drama/jousting-if-I-can-pull-it-off.
With the country at war and the King leading his troops on the battlefield, his regent, the Queen Mother, institutes a series of knightly tournaments to boost the people's morale, much to the chagrin of her younger son.
When one of the participating knights passes away, his starving, ragtag bunch of servants, led by a minstrel with the voice of an angel, impersonate him in the contest with the hope of winning some gold. Eager to write his own fate, and with the age of gallantry slowly coming to a close, this self-made knight may win not just the favor of the public, but also the heart of a prince… and the title of legend.
Read at FFN, AO3.

O’Khasis Headcannons
• O'Khasis is the most prestige Kingdom in all of Ru'aun. O'Khasis is praised for it's glamor, sophistication, their beautiful horses and performances. They prestige guards and soldiers, armor and the jury. O'Khasis is feared and admired by all on Ru'aun, Tu'la and other villages and kingdoms.
• O'Khasis trades with other villages but is also stable on its own. It raises cattle, horses (not for food), dogs and cats (not for food), chickens, and sheep. Apples, pears, and berries are common fruit. Lettuce, potatoes, garlic, onion, squares, turnips and kale. They also fish sea and river fish.
• O'Khasis citizens are O'Khasians. They're quite clicky. They stay in their class circles, not acknowledging classes lower to them but always praising the higher ones. Royals are very beloved and sought after by the public. They give them flowers and baked goods. They praise them on their looks and how they are in public. Some, behind closed doors despise the royals but to say that aloud spells trouble. The class division is quite obvious in O'Khasis. It ranges from people struggling to feed their families to farmers and merchants to soldiers and nobles and royals. O'Khasis is the most religious kingdom and they follow the book of Irene heavily.
• Their culture is very similar to medieval England and Scandinavia. They worship the royals as they do their goddess. Their features are very strong boned and are similar to those of English, Swedish, Norwegian, Scottish descent. They value purity the higher the class they are and are quite judgmental when it comes to the status or actions of others. They usually have blonde hair though all hair colors can be found here.
• O'Khasis is viewed as a godly entity and threat. Their soldiers, military, guards and jurors are admired for their skills and their royals are praised on their beauty and eloquence.
• O'Khasis fighting varies similar to Phoenix Drop but for a different reason, which is due to everyone in the military being trained with swords, arrows, daggers, spears etc. jurors each have their own special weapon. Women (besides those in the jury) are not taught to fight not expected to know how to. Most women hide the fact they known even a dash of combat because it's frowned upon. The most common weapon is a singular sword and shield.

Some Alfred and Alexia Ashford headcanons, but not related to twincest.
Sure! And you know what? I wanted to do some general headcanons for a while anyway.
Alfred
His full name is Alfred Edward Arthur Hamish Ashford.
Alfred’s IQ as an adult is high enough to be considered a genius.
Alfred likes his coffee black with a bit of sugar. He prefers tea to coffee, though.
He’s an early bird, he likes to get up early and go to bed early. However, in reality, Alfred usually gets up early, goes to bed late, and is often somewhat sleep deprived. Sometimes, he takes a nap in his office when he is too tired.
He tried to grow a beard once, which ended after a couple of weeks with some stubbles here and there. Nothing you could consider a beard. He has very little body hair in general.
He studied business administration and graduated as the best student of the year.
He’s a walking war and military history book.
Alfred owns a massive WWI and WWII-themed collection, which includes various models and original pieces from all parties. He has collectibles from other eras too. The models are from tanks, planes, armored vehicles, ships, larger weapons, and so on. Good amounts of them are self-made scale models. Alfred is very skilled in this regard. One of his maids kind of gained a friendship status by asking him frequently about the history of his collectibles.
Alfred is a decent pianist. He never had any lessons, everything is self-taught. There is still a lot of room for improvement, though.
Alfred speaks 12 languages besides English (Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Indian, Polish, Swedish) more or less well, some even on the level of a native speaker and almost accent-free. He can’t write and read all of them, but at least he understands them and has a rather broad vocabulary and some basic grammar skills. His favorite language is Italian. Learning them resulted partially from his own interest, partially it was work-related, and partially he picked them up from the mercenaries. Learning new languages was always easy for him.
Harman cared for Alfred like his own son after Alexia went to her cryogenic sleep. Alfred appreciated his kindness even though he never saw him as a father figure. Still, he treated Harman a lot better than he treated his other employees. Harman was even allowed to criticize Alfred openly without fearing for his life.
Harman hated what kind of monster Alfred had become over the years, even though he never saw the worst of Alfred. He partially blamed himself for it.
Alfred did not immediately develop his split personality after Alexia was gone. It started when he was around 20. At first, it was less frequent and less intense, but later it happened more often. The intensity increased too. Most of the time, he was still there, more or less, even when he wasn’t in control. Later he sometimes had total blackouts for minutes to hours when he switched completely to “Alexia”. After Alexia returned and he started visiting a therapist, his condition improved significantly. He still has it occasionally, especially when he is stressed, and it will probably stay forever to some extent, but at least the blackouts are gone.
He has problems distinguishing between the real Alexia and his alter ego.
Alfred is quite popular among the UBCS soldiers. Despite the intense training, they have a rather good life on Rockfort Island because he invests a lot of money to fulfill their basic desires. (Actually, it’s not his money, it’s Umbrella’s money, Alfred is just good at bargaining.) The only requirement is that the soldiers follow his rules. And since Alfred loves collective punishments, that’s not too hard to enforce. The soldiers keep each other in check.
Alfred rarely interacts with the lower-ranking soldier unless he has to. It is below him. Some have never even seen him the entire time they were on Rockfort Island. However, he is less aloof with the higher-ranking soldiers. When he’s in a good mood, he even has a few drinks with them.
The giant worm is his pet. Umbrella had little interest in this BOW, too impractical for broader use. They said Alfred could have it if he wanted it. No one knows how Alfred tamed it, but it is friendly toward him and even follows simple orders.
And because Alfred is a sick fuck, have some darker headcanons too.
Most prisoners on Rockfort Island are there for interrogation. Once this is over, Umbrella doesn’t need them anymore. Obviously, they can’t let them go, so they often become test subjects, or the UBCS can use them for training. As long as they die, Umbrella doesn’t care too much about how it happens. This means Alfred can do whatever he wants with most of the prisoners.
Watching Alexander suffer after Alexia infected him filled Alfred with joy. He could have watched this for hours while smiling from ear to ear. At first, he thought it was because he finally got his revenge, but the warm feeling returned when a worker had a fatal accident in front of him.
He tortured and killed a couple of prisoners himself. It was messy, and he realized that he preferred watching rather than doing it. Then he started using other prisoners for it. He promised to let them go if they would do what he said. A lie, obviously, but they often fell for it. Or he paid the mercenaries. Most have little to no morals anyway, and it is easy work for good money. This went on until he found Enoch Stoker (the anatomist). The guy clearly wasn’t right in his head, but he was intelligent, well-educated, and most importantly, he did everything Alfred wanted. Not only that he enjoyed it. The two even became something like friends.
Alfred sometimes recorded everything, but these snuff movies never gave him the same satisfaction as live performances.
War isn’t the only topic he has a lot of knowledge about. He’s also an expert in historic torture methods and outdated medical procedures from all around the world. Alfred is aware that he probably can’t replicate all of them, but he can try.
He tried to get into big-game and trophy hunting. The animals in his mansion are his kills. Soon Alfred realized that animals don’t do it for him. He preferred prey that was more intelligent. Alfred has a private hunting ground on Rockfort Island. Stronger prisoners have a good chance of visiting it instead of his torture chamber. (His aim is a lot better when he has slept well.) He owns a mare, which he often rides while hunting.
Alexia
Her full name is Alexia Veronica Elisabeth Nora Ashford.
The cryogenic sleep made her age slower. Physically she’s about 20 years old, not 27. Mentally she obviously didn’t age during that time.
Due to the mutations from the virus, Alexia can lift 40 times her body weight like an ant.
The twins have a cook, but when Alexia has time for it, she likes doing it herself. It reminds her a bit of working in a lab. She always wears safety glasses while cooking, possible helpers must wear them too. Her cooking is pretty good.
She doesn’t like sweets particularly. Sometimes it’s ok, but most of the time, she requests fruits as dessert.
Caffeine junkie. She likes her coffee with milk and without sugar.
Alexia loves opera, musicals, ballet, and concerts. She’s a good singer herself.
She is a night owl. Her sleeping schedule is slightly better than her brother’s, but not by much. She often stays up way too long and regrets it in the morning.
Alexia loves invertebrates. Ants are her favorites, but she loves other ones too. She has a large room where she keeps various species of invertebrates as pets in hundreds of enclosures. Alexia also has some beehives and started making her own honey.
She has collected porcelain dolls since childhood but has never played with them. Some are very old and rare. Her first doll was a gift from her surrogate mother. Alexia only knows this because Alexander told her so.
Alexia thought about getting into wine growing. Alfred loves wine, she loves wine, and she is generally interested in the process. So why not buy a suitable piece of land and hire some people to grow her own wine?
Alexia completed her studies mainly by distance learning. She attended the university only for exams and other events where she had to be present in person. The practical work was done in a lab in Antarctica that Alexander had built specifically for this purpose. She was still too small to work in a regular lab. After some inspections, the university allowed it. Alexia finished her Ph.D. with an A+. Her examiner didn’t go easy on her, but the defense was a breeze for Alexia regardless.
She secretly admired William Birkin. His achievements impressed her and gave her more motivation to work harder and outdo him. Alexia only met him once in person at an Umbrella intern conference shortly after she started working for them. He wasn’t very friendly, but they still debated until 4 a.m. (Alexander wasn’t with her). Both enjoyed it. Birkin would never admit it, though.
Alexia hoped Birkin would get along better with her, but she would never ingratiate herself. If he hates her, then so be it. Apparently, it doesn’t stop him from having elaborate conversations with her.
The last time she cried was when she was a baby.
She lacks a bit sense of shame. She is also uncomfortably direct in conversations, no sugarcoating, no lies to not hurt someone’s feelings.
She likes to try out new things. Even if she doesn’t like them in the end, the experience is still worth it.
Alexia has started to act more and more childish at times around people she is familiar with. As a child, she was dead serious. That’s how she was brought up, that’s what people expected of her. But now, she’s an adult, rich, and can do whatever she wants. And if necessary, Alexia can switch back to serious in a matter of seconds.
Alexia is fascinated by mundane things, like supermarkets. She never had these in Antarctica, and during the rare occasions Alexander took her somewhere else, they stayed far away from such places.
Both
Alfred was born first, Alexia 7 min later. Their birthday is the 27th of January, 1971.
Alexander took the DNA from Edward and Veronica to create the twins. That’s also where their second names are coming from.
They can read the other one so well that they can’t lie to each other. Sometimes it works for minor things, usually, it doesn’t.
Harman started his own investigations after Alexander’s disappearance. He found out what the twins did to him but never said anything. Harman thought it was unnecessarily cruel, and still, he could somewhat understand them. Despite his good intentions and all that he provided for them, Alexander was a terrible father. Harman felt sorry for the twins most of the time.
They tend to talk about other people who are right in front of them as if they are not there. They don’t mind if these people find it unpleased.
In any kind of competition, the twins never let the other win. They consider it disrespectful not to give 100%.
The twins often play chess together. When they were children, Alexia used to win all the time. Alfred improved a lot over the years, but he could never defeat her. As adults, it’s the opposite. Alexia tried many strategies, but she wasn’t able to beat Alfred once.
Alfred and Alexia started fencing as a hobby. Both are equally good. Often, they use the floret. Sometimes, they also try rapiers or sabers.
They like to travel and do sightseeing. Alexander rarely took them anywhere, and there wasn’t much to see in Antarctica.
Both work a lot. Alexia thought they could need more time to relax, so she introduced a spa day for them once a month. She also hoped that it would have a positive effect on Alfred’s mental health.
Alexia drags Alfred into everything that sparks her interest, like museums or theaters, and, to his dismay, into amusement parks, shopping malls, or supermarkets as well. Sometimes he can convince her not to go there, but not very often. If she really wants it, he gives in and accompanies her. Alfred’s worst experience so far was when Alexia dragged him into a strip club.
