Ambidextrous soup - spot the symmetries

I drew this one while using both of my hands (and two ballpoint pens) simultaneously. When I draw ambidextrously I prefer to draw with my one hand a mirrored version of the other hand's path. Can you spot which parts where drawn at the same time? - say, can you spot the (approximate/ non-exact) symmetry pairs?

Later on I used a dark green and a light green ballpoint pen.

I primariliy trusted my hands and less my eyes, because 1) for drawing ambidextrously I prefer to follow my imagination and memory about my hands' positions and less using my eyes (like, seriously: Attempt to do it when the left and right parts are at least 10 cm apart. You cannot look at both spots simultaneously the further they are away from each other.) and 2) the illumination condition was merely bad anyway when I drew it, as it was already dark and there were few illumination spots like campfire and some colorful but unbright party lights.

You might also see that the parts on the left (made with my left hand) are more loose, less exact. My left hand is not that trained yet like my right hand, as I mostly wrote and drew with my right hand for most parts of my life.

I did not know that people can be ambidextrous and hence I did never consider it an option to use my left hand as well.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that every major advance in physics for more than a century has turned on revelations about symmetry. It’s there at the dawn of general relativity, in the birth of the Standard Model, in the hunt for the Higgs.

For that reason, research across physics is now building to a crescendo. It was touched off by a 2014 paper, “Generalized Global Symmetries,” which demonstrated that the most important symmetries of 20th-century physics could be extended more broadly to apply in quantum field theory, the basic theoretical framework in which physicists work today.

This reformulation, which crystallized earlier work in the area, revealed that disparate observations physicists had made in the past 40 years were really manifestations of the same lurking symmetry. In doing so, it created an organizing principle that physicists could use to categorize and understand phenomena. “That’s really a stroke of genius,” said Nathaniel Craig, a physicist at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

The principle identified in the paper came to be known as “higher symmetries.” The name reflects the way the symmetries apply to higher-dimensional objects such as lines, rather than lower-dimensional objects such as particles at single points in space. By giving the symmetry a name and language and by identifying places it had been observed before, the paper prompted physicists to search for other places it might appear.

Watching the streams for Gamers Outreach really cemented why I love the Hermits and their community.

I especially loved how much they made sure Scar was included, like being his arms so he could use a nerf gun, and other things like that. As someone with chronic health issues, it means the world to see that it is possible to be included even if someone can’t be there in person. It was such simple gestures but I cried happy tears while watching.

I doubt any of the hermits will see this, but congrats on the success of the charity streams, I just know this is going to help so many people.
