When he wakes up that morning, he doesn’t expect to be brought into service by a human.

He’s seen them around, here and there. There’s this one called Jorgen who he has to deal with occasionally. So obsessed with metals, passing little faces stamped on clunky pieces of gold or silver. Unnecessary—shouldn’t what he does be service enough? Like it always is with the Family.

And they don’t look like real faces. On the coins, or on the humans for that matter. There are eyes, and noses, mouths and ears, but they don’t make up a face. Just a strange, strange mockery of a face, a pretence at a face. There are no crags, just wrinkled flesh, wrinkles that appear so, so quickly. There is no moss, just clumps of fur around their heads.

“You mean like you have?”

And the Family was very generous to take him in despite his deformities, Sven.

Besides, it’s not like that with animals. Animals have faces. It’s only humans who seem…unnatural. They try to make up for it, though, parroting ideas and conversations and going about strange rituals. They almost act like real people with real problems. Sometimes he likes to play along, just for a bit, but not for too long—he starts to feel uncomfortable when he’s around humans too long. Generally.

Anyway.

He’ll meet a human. A woman at that. (Probably. Humans are so bizarrely emphatic about their gender that sometimes it’s difficult to tell.) She’ll pay for the carrots that Jorgen tried to cheat him out of. She’ll save his life, and Sven’s. They’ll travel together to find and save her sister.

Her sister will shoot her through the heart with a spell.

Humans don’t usually do magic. They can’t control it very easily, Grandpabbie says. They need to attune themselves to the world by practice instead of coming to it naturally.

(They can’t hear Sven. Every person he knows can hear Sven, but humans can’t. It’s…a little scary, actually.)

Small wonder her sister won’t be able to control her powers. But his new human friend…something will happen to her.

She’ll become weaker. The magic that she’s been trying to embrace since he found her will be slowly killing her from the inside. Turning her hair white.

White.

He’s seen this before. He’ll remember that.

She’ll be…unique, for a human. This won’t be the first time he’s talked to a human, or even a human woman. But it will be the first time he’ll have been in close contact with a human woman for…for the first time in forever.

A strong-willed woman. A strong woman, who’s seemingly never been bothered by the cold. A woman who’s in love with a man she just met, which even for short-lived humans seems a tad…quick, but who’s he to judge? A woman who would literally travel to the end of sanity for her loved ones, braving who knows what kind of magic to do it.

She’ll…

He’ll have to accept, within his head, that this human has always been a person.

A person he’ll want to get to know better. Spend more time with.

…which might be awkward because she’ll be engaged and she’ll also be suffering from a curse which risks turning her into a shard of living ice. Like some of Grandpabbie’s stories of times gone by, when a magic mirror made an empress of glass out of a raggedy human child.

He won’t let that happen to Anna.

He won’t.

Disney Prince x Princess Couples SWAP!!!

FYI: I'm ONLY counting official Princess couples, which ends with Anna being the last one with a canon love interest. So, there's no Merida, Elsa, Moana, or Raya. The goal for this was to have Prince x Princess crossover pairings ONLY.

Snow White x Eugene

Rapunzel is basically Modern-Day Snow White, and they have very similar Pure Hearts, the kind that can break down Eugene's walls. Snow White knows how to be firm when necessary, but her greatest strength is her unfailing kindness. Eugene would definitely reveal his deepest desires after sharing a cup of tea with Snow.

Cinderella x Adam (the Beast)

Picture this: Cinderella chooses to stay at the Beast's castle in exchange for her family (be it her dad, who is alive some versions of the fairytale, or her step-family, because she IS selfless enough to try to help them). She no longer has to work as a slave (though knowing her, she'd still damn well would try to help out), and she would assimilate easily into an Enchanted Castle's environment, and her gentleness and kindness, with juuuuust a bit more of a feisty backbone to confront the Beast's temper, would unravel the Beast's tangled heart.

Aurora x Eric

There are two things Phillip and Eric have in common: they both slayed the villain in an incredibly badass fashion, and they both are smitten with a mysterious voice. Eric is 1000% an homage to Prince Phillip's character, and you cannot tell me that he wouldn't fall head over heels in love with Mary Costa "Briar Rose's" gorgeous voice. (And let's be real, Aurora definitely has a Type lol)

Ariel x John Smith

Ariel wants to see the human world. John Smith wants to explore the "New World." You do the math. Okay, in all honesty, this is lowkey my least favorite pairing 😭 but when you take away the Awkward Historical Stuff, they do still??? kinda fit???? It's one thing for Ariel to go ashore the nearest human kingdom; it's another for her to actually EXPLORE the planet, with an equal adventurer by her side. (Originally, I paired her with Aladdin, but I found an equal, if not better partner for him below ^^")

Belle x Phillip

Here's a "Prince Charming" who takes names and kicks ass and would provide the adventure Belle wants so dearly. Also, I just want good things for Belle, so really, who wouldn't want Prince Slay-a-Dragon-Get-the-Girl Phillip???

Jasmine x Shang

Shang likes a woman who can kick his ass, whether physically or verbally, and Jasmine 1000% fits the bill. Also, she'd whip that Internalized Misogyny out of his system faster than you can say "I'll Make a Man Out of You" lol

Pocahontas x Kristoff

Look, they're both outdoorsy types, definitely prefer animals to people, and totally would take up rock climbing as a couple's activity. They're one of the few couples on this list that I did NOT change my mind on; they just fit, okay????

Mulan x Florian

Idk sometimes I'm a basic bitch and just want a Malewife x Girlboss pairing bksbdvhbdvnmsdxngf

Tiana x Charming

I just want good things for Tiana and if that means marrying a rich prince who'll step back and let her manage her own restaurant or the palace kitchens, then so be it! Again, Malewife x Girlboss 😤

Rapunzel x Aladdin

Both are adventurous, both have confidence in their abilities despite their traumas, and Rapunzel is feisty enough for Aladdin's tastes. (Also, I have an inexplicable image of them adventuring throughout Agrabah with Punzie's hair swinging them about, Spider-Man style hdbgfjsdbhkgbsdf XD)

Anna x Naveen

Look, Naveen has actual Game, and is NOT sinister like Hans, so he would EASILY sweep Anna off her feet, in the best way possible. But he wouldn't jump to marriage, and Elsa's Ice Queen presence would prevent him from, ah, moving things too fast lol ^^" Naveen, at the end of the day, is a supporter, not a leader, and that gives room for Anna to take the reins.

“Why do you like crossovers so much?”

Normal Answer: My favorite shows canonically crossed over when I was younger and it made me realize the potential and fun crossovers can bring!

My Answer: I saw 2 low res drawings of Merida/Rapunzel and Hiccup/Jack Frost making out Sloppy Style and being besties on my shitass ipod and it forever changed my brain chemistry. For better or for worse I can’t tell you, but I am having fun here.

#rotbtd still has a place in my heart and I’ll love it dearly; but I need you guys to understand my anger when Frozen started getting-#crossovered with it. It wasn’t cause I didn’t like Frozen; I actually really like the movies! Care to share some of your headcanons about The Southern Isles and its royal family?

Sure!

So I go off Elizabeth Rudnick's "Frozen Heart" book for the most part, so yeah Han's whole family is kinda aweful, makes sense why he'd turn out that way :/

For his family, his father is King Gudbrand, and his mother is Queen Honoria (her younger sister Constantina is the mother of Prince Charming in Cinderella)

Here's what I had in my notes for his brothers and their families, names that are bolded come from the book

Caleb--Crown Prince of Southern Isles and heir to the throne, married to Princess Irina of Westberg, they have two daughters and a son

Peder-King Consort of Ingvarr, two daughters

Lars--Prince Consort of Westerberg, Daughter is Princess Cassandra

Ruddi/Runo-- Twins. Married at one point to duchesses but Outlaws now (yes they're the Stabbington Brothers, don't @ me it works and it's funny)

Elias--King Consort of Norberg, wife Queen Abigal and daughter princess Chloe

Mateo, Mikkel and Marius--Triplets. All married to minor nobility of various kingdoms, 2 boys and a girl between them

Theodor--married no children

Esben married no children

Hans was a suprise baby (and an unwanted one at that 💔 )

Yeah basically his family supplies grooms to half the kingdoms in the Everrealm xD

The Southern Isles was originally people by a banished group from one of the Northern kingdoms, back in the Everrealm's viking days, after they fell out of favor with the current king.

Their leader originally owned a fiefdom in the west of the country, hence his surname "Vestergaard" which became "Westergaard" over the years.

The power of the Southern Isles used to be a bigger deal in the old more warlike/sea faring days, both for their navy and as a needful port/place of defense. But as times and technology changed they've fallen by the wayside, and have tried to retain their failing power through alliances, but the king is very bitter about his sons all being Consorts only and not kings by right. Heck of a guy :p

ok hear me out: i’m sure everyone remembers the big four right? rise of the brave tangled dragons? yeah all that. i was never a huge fan but i really liked the idea of it, and well… i still do.

so what about a httyd au crossover thing with brave, tangled, and frozen. EXCEPT it has DRAGONS.

now i know what you’re thinking: “but toothbrushfingers, it already HAS dragons” and to that i say: NOT ENOUGH!

in THIS au merida’s father isn’t the bear king but is instead the dragon king and is famous for hunting dragons, rapunzel was raised by a death song, and elsa doesn’t have ice powers but instead rides a snow wraith.

i’m most certainly going to draw this but… thoughts?

Jelsa headcanons because THEMMMMM LOOK AT THEM

Elsa is an insomniac and Jack is a heavy sleeper I HAVE SAID IT AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN.

Love language is physical touch. Loves holding hands often to remind them that they're more than just cold hands

Elsa loves looking at him when he's not looking. And when he does, she smile grows as he smiles as well.

Dumbasses. There are millions of dumbasses but they're my favorite.

Elsa sometimes doesn't get his dad jokes

Jack talks about Elsa the way Aladdin talked about Jasmine to the genie in that one scene

In Taylor Swift songs, I would describe their relationship dynamic as the 'sweet nothing' and 'afterglow' type.

THEY BOTH ARE MAMA'S BABIES. JACK IS A MAMA'S BOY AND ELS IS A MAMA'S GIRL. FOR SURE.

They both do not know how to dance and they just sort of learned to dance with each other.

I don't think Elsa gives him the silent treatment when they fight. She knows that all his life people were passing through him like he doesn't exist, so pretending that he doesn't exist would strike a memory in him.

Constantly argues, but not too much. It's normal for them to have disagreements and things doesn't necessarily have to end up with them raising voices.

Elsa will do anything to get cuddles with this man. Everything.

The elves adore Elsa and Jack had to shoo them away for being all over her.

Elsa helps North make toys and Jack is just being Jack.

They love playing with each other's hairs. They can't stand cuddling without doing it.

Elsa, surprisingly, was an open book to Jack.

Jack's favorite pillow is her lap.
