I started reading the Art of Wish book, and honestly now it makes me even more sad to see how underappreciated the movie is, because the level of care that went into making it is probably superior to that of most of their movies combined (so much for the “AI made movie” argument). Did you know, for example, that Wish is specifically set in the 1200s (earlier than Sleeping Beauty, who is set in the 1300s) so that it could be the very first story set in the Disney universe, timeline-wise? Did you know that Asha is supposed to be the very first person on Earth who wished upon a star? Did you know that the village Asha lives in is not called Rosas like the main city? (I especially liked this detail, since I hate it when the main kingdom’s name is interchanged with the names of all of its cities in Disney movies).
This made me think of the disappointment I felt back in 2022, when I read the foreword for The Art of Encanto and it only said that the goal of the work team was to make a movie set in Colombia, and to have it centered on a large family. Now I truly love Encanto, but those words did make me think that the movie had been made purely to get a profit out of it. Wish has been repeatedly accused of being a soulless cash-grab, but all it takes is to read the first few pages of its artbook to find out just how much of a testament to Walt’s legacy this movie truly is. The Easter Eggs are only the most superficial layer of this movie; a layer that the majority of people mistook for its core. Every page of that book oozes love, and this gives more sense to the decision of the filmmakers to scrap the love story between Asha and Star. Had it stayed in the movie, it would have shifted the focus from the fact that Disney loves to create stories, to the fact that they love to create love stories.
The only love story the creators of Wish wanted to show is the one between a studio and the movies they make; there was no place for both of these things in this movie.
And it’s so sad that this seems to have flown over everyone’s head.

The Art Of Frozen III
One of my most anticipated things about the post launch of Frozen 3 has to be the 'Art Of Frozen III' book. My passion is art, specifically drawing. I used to draw tons of Frozen drawings. And so to have my hands on the Art of Frozen/ 2 books is amazing! I can't see all kinds of concept art and learn about some of the scenes. But the book isn't just for artists like myself. It's for all Frozen fans because then you can see concept art which can reveal things about characters and places. And if you've been meaning to make a post on let's say the architecture of the buildings, the book helps you with that too.
But I can't wait to see the alternative outfits and hairstyles for the characters of Frozen 3, full designs of some rooms of the castle (if the movie has important scenes in the castle), and so much more!
This post was also for you guys; if you guys want to see anything from the Art of Frozen and Frozen 2 books, (because maybe you weren't able to get your hands on it or you need to see something specifically from it) then do tell me in the Ask box and let me help you by sharing some images and info of it.
Also if you're a fan of these books, what are you excited to see from the Art of Frozen III'?

Today was a good day. I went to a Con and unexpectedly found this two books, full of beautiful concept arts. Checking the prices online I also bought them for a steal!

Your beautiful eyes would look even better with your makeup ruined, dripping down your cheeks, tears mixed with the eyeliner...
Mascara instead of eyeliner for me and we're ready to go.

Hello! Happy Saturday! Can you help me find a fic? It is a multi chapter jjk single parent centered story where y\n finds his daughter wondering in the grocery store (who works at the store i think?) and brings her back to him. And over time they become closer and start to date??? I just recall jjk's ex wife\gf popping up later in the story. I think the story if recent as of this year but idk tbh.
🌷Hello 👋! Oh yes, I think this came out last year as it was part of my reading lists then. This is The Art Of series by @venusiangguk 😊 Enjoy!
