my laios and kabru dungeon meshi pokemon teams (respectively). explanations for each pick and my general ideas of how they would be as trainers below.

spoiler warning!

first up, laios

laios would be a very very dedicated pokemon trainer, and an avid researcher of pokemon ecology. i think he would be in absolute bliss in the pokemon world, a world where “monsters” and people live and work together in harmony. i wanted to represent his dedication by giving him pokemon that are rare, or take plenty of effort to evolve, either by friendship or by extensive level grinding. i also felt like laios would be fascinated by the concept of shiny hunting, and wanted to reflect this in his team.

his pokemon

silvally: self explanatory, isn't it? reflective of his "awesome monster". it’s a chimera that resents humans based on the circumstance of it’s existence. evolves based on love and true friendship. the absolute epitome of laios’s true identity. they are also both legendary and extremely rare, so this means he had to put in a lot of hard work to get a partner like this.

Through the bond it formed with its Trainer, its will was strengthened, and it was able to destroy its control mask.

The final factor needed to release this Pokémon's true power was a strong bond with a Trainer it trusts.

lycanroc: represents the dogs that raised him in his parent’s absence, and also his true ideal “wolf self”. it's my opinion that the wolf head of laios’s chimera form is the one that most concretely represents laios (it’s missing in earlier portrayals of his chimera form, and is the reason he chooses the wolf cloak when he becomes king.). it is also extremely loyal and protective of those it loves, just like laios.

When properly raised from a young age, it will become a trustworthy partner that will absolutely never betray its Trainer.

pyroar: indicative of the winged lion, obviously, but also a reference to the “main body” of the greek chimera myth. shiny mostly because the colors of the shiny remind me of him more. also male, not just for the mane, but because pyroar is 97.5% female — so this form is very rare! this pokedex entry really reminds me of laios:

The males are usually lazy, but when attacked by a strong foe, a male will protect its friends with no regard for its own safety.

braviary: represents the “eagle head” on his chimera form, and the idea of either a hippogriff or a griffin. braviary evolves extremely late in levels, so owning one is indicative of a lot of time put into training it. and i think laios would really enjoy searching for a shiny rufflet and training it for so long. braviary’s pokedex entries are extremely fitting for his personality, and they even have a connection to royalty, and sometimes even retaliate towards humans:

They fight for their friends without any thought about danger to themselves. One can carry a car while flying.

For the sake of its friends, this brave warrior of the sky will not stop battling, even if injured.

It's thought that people disturbed their habitats in the past, so Braviary banded together to fight back.

Known for its bravery and pride, this majestic Pokémon is often seen as a motif for various kinds of emblems.

hydreigon: not only a dragon, but one with multiple heads! i think laios would really personally resonate with the concept of the hydreigon line. because of this i can imagine himself dedicating himself to raising this “cool” dragon, not just because it’s cool, but because he understands “fighting with yourself/your desires”. on top of all of that, hydreigon have been known to destroy villages and resent human beings:

There are a slew of stories about villages that were destroyed by Hydreigon. It bites anything that moves.

It's said that Hydreigon grew ferocious because people in times long past loathed it, considering it to be evil incarnate and attacking it relentlessly.

It responds to movement by attacking. This scary, three-headed Pokémon devours everything in its path!

aegislash: it’s kensuke! this pokemon feels like it was basically made for laios, and reminds me of dungeon meshi in general. i mean, just look at these pokemon entries:

Apparently, it can detect the innate qualities of leadership. According to legend, whoever it recognizes is destined to become king.

Its potent spectral powers allow it to manipulate others. It once used its powers to force people and Pokémon to build a kingdom to its liking.

aegislash also reminds me of the winged lion, and is representative of not just laios’s eventual position as king, but also his “idealized” leadership as “dungeon master” over the course of the story.

now onto kabru!

as a trainer, in accordance to his position as laios's foil, i'd imagine that kabru would focus much less on pokemon battles and pokemon training. much like his lack of skill when it comes to exploring the dungeon, kabru is very people focused first, and i'd imagine his team is not very strong when it comes to battling... but i still wanted picks that would be indicative of who he is as a person. i'd like to think he acquired most of his pokemon not by the headstrong dedication towards exploration and catching that laios would have, but by making the right connections through trading and making bonds with other people. however, the few that he would have found on his own would be extremely special to him.

his pokemon

stufful: cute and unassuming on the surface, but secretly spiteful and aggressive underneath... it reminds me of kabru a lot. this is also the first in the start of a running theme of plush / toy-like pokemon i incorporated into his team, to represent his childhood being raised by misiril and treated like a "doll". kabru's childhood is something i find very few people take into consideration, but it really changes the way you look at his character...

A touch from anyone except a known friend sends it into a surging frenzy. It's an incredibly dangerous Pokémon. Its fluffy fur is a delight to pet, but carelessly reaching out to touch this Pokémon could result in painful retaliation.

mimikyu: another contribution to the doll-like theme of his team, but also is a pokemon that i feel is most representative of kabru's personality... someone who just wants to be loved and idolizes and takes after another, hiding behind a cute and nice mask, with an unending well of loneliness and a desire to be friends despite feeling like something evil. kabru talks about how he feels like a monster due to his lineage with misiril in his adventure's bible excerpt, and it's always struck powerfully with me. (as a result i can't stand when people make blue eyes jokes about him, lol.) he spends his entire adventure idolizing laios, just wanting to be his friend... (and secretly hating him.) to me, mimikyu is a perfect partner for kabru.

A lonely Pokémon, it conceals its terrifying appearance beneath an old rag so it can get closer to people and other Pokémon. It has taken damage and can no longer hold the head of its cloth disguise upright. For as long as it lives, Mimikyu will never forget its attacker.

mawile: meant to symbolize kabru's "two-faced"ness, and also just seemed like a type i thought he would enjoy. yet another cute looking pokemon to contribute to his team's theme, as well. this pokemon's dex entries mention how it uses it's cute facade to lure in other pokemon, and i thought that was fitting. i also thought it was nice that the jaws are actually horns, playing back into kabru's self-demonization.

Don't be taken in by this Pokémon's cute face—it's very dangerous. Mawile fools the foe into letting down its guard, then chomps down with its massive jaws. The steel jaws are really horns that have been transformed. It has two mouths. The big jaws on the back of its head can't taste anything, so that's the mouth it uses to eat foods it doesn't like.

espurr: a small and cute pokemon that reminded me of misiril, and kabru as a child. i also wanted to include it in order to make it clear that kabru wouldn't always care about fully evolving or training his pokemon, or using anything considered "strong" - since battling wouldn't be his expertise. this is yet another pokemon that seems docile but is secretly holding back dangerous power. i thought that he would resonate with this pokemon's blank and scary stare.

Though Espurr's expression never changes, behind that blank stare is an intense struggle to contain its devastating psychic power.

banette: next to mimikyu, i feel like this pokemon most accurately reflects kabru's past and personality. once again calling back to kabru's unhealthy childhood, and his treatment as an object. originally being a toy itself, banette holds strong grudges against those who have abandoned and wronged it.

An abandoned plush doll became this Pokémon. They are said to live in garbage dumps and wander about in search of the children that threw them away. It's a stuffed toy that was thrown away and became possessed, ever searching for the one who threw it away so it can exact its revenge. Resentment at being cast off made it spring into being. Some say that treating it well will satisfy it, and it will once more become a stuffed toy.

buneary: for his final team member, i knew from the outset that i wanted to include a buneary on his team. buneary is the only pokemon to start off with a base 0 happiness -- and as a result is an extremely hard pokemon to evolve! this also pairs well with the unique move of Frustration - a move that is more powerful the lower a pokemon's happiness. this seemed fitting. i wanted to keep it at a weak stage, but i also enjoy that it's a friendship evolution that he could slowly raise. i made this pokemon shiny partially because i just associate kabru with the color pink, but also because i thought it told a nice story. i liked the idea of kabru finding this equally battle-wary but extremely rare pokemon and slowly having it warm up to him over time, as he slowly learns to trust a "monster" he is somewhat wary of himself.

If both of Buneary's ears are rolled up, something is wrong with its body or mind. It's a sure sign the Pokémon is in need of care.

Fable SMP Pokemon AU

Ok, so I've had alot of thoughts about a fable smp pokemon au. I definitely have full team ideas for some characters, but I have at least a partner pokemon and reasoning as for why for every character and thought that I'd share them! Some reasonings are definitely alot stronger than others 😅, but there is at least one!

Icarus: • Decidueye It's a bird-shaped (not flying type), ghost type, archer pokemon. It feel pretty fitting

Rae: • Espeon It evolves with high friendship, psychic type, incredibly loyal. These are all traits that feels fitting for rae (also a callback to heyhay's cosplay)

Athena: • Litten I mean it's a fire cat. I feel like that's reason enough.

Caspian: • Lycanrock (mid-day form) Guys its atlas For caspian, I have an idea for a full team, it's just hard to pick a partner pokemon for him, but i decided that since I have lycanrock on his team because of a pet, it felt the most fitting to be the partner pokemon

Fenrir: • Houndoom It felt like the most fitting wolf themed pokemon The rest of his pokemon are definitely more space themed (minior, aurorus, lunatone, ect.)

Ulysses: • Feebas Its known for being incredibly tenacious in tough situations, despite its appearance and being usually ignored. Its moon dex entry also says that its vitality makes it a subject or research. I also like the idea of Ulysses trying to get it to evolve, but just not figuring out how (Its totally because I think they look alike)

Aax: • Sharpedo An extremely powerful water type pokemon, also its dark typing makes it super effective against ghost types.

Jamie: • Dachsbun Its connor the dog. Also Jamie sure is baker and I think bread dog is a fun way to represent that

Momboo: • Meganium Can revive dead plants and grass. Also I just think it fits the vibe

Easton: • Bronzong It's a steel type bell pokemon, which feels fitting. it's also known for bringing rain

Haley: • Corsola I like the idea that something happens that causes it to somehow become a galarian corsola (which is a dead little ghost corsola) Idk how, but yeah.

Seven: • Klinklang It feels a bit obvious, but its fitting so-

Centross: • Ceruledge It's a very powerful pokemon that's exclusive to pokemon violet. "Ceruledge dons an old set of armor steeped in grudges and wields blades made of fire and ghost energy. In battle, these blades transform into great swords to increase Ceruledge’s power. Cuts from these great swords leave wounds from which life energy will flow." Also just look at it.

Ocie: • Basculegion Not only is it a hisui exclusive pokemon (which means its old as hell) and a water type, its dex entry says "Clads itself in the souls of comrades that perished before fulfilling their goals of journeying upstream." Which feels fitting for Ocie.

Ven: • Alolan Vulpix Guys it's a little white fox. It's just like him.

Chaos: • Yanmega It's a dragonfly. And also extremely violent and powerful according to its dex entries

Galahad • Armarouge It's a warrior that's extremely loyal. Also fire type.

Original Arisanna • Togekiss I like the idea of the allays being togepi

Vexed Arisanna • Tinkaton I think it's a reasonable pokemon for arisanna to have already had, but pivoted more towards once she was vexed. Its and extremely intelligent pokemon, but its known for being mercilessly violent and stealing what it pleases.

Addie: • Spinarak It felt like the most fitting spider pokemon

Will: • Meowscarada I mean its got a mask. (Guys please I was so stuck on will if you have better ideas PLEASE give them)

I was too much of a coward to give the world sisters mythical/legendary pokemon, but if I did I think they might have their respective island guardians (tapu bulu and tapu fini) alternatively, ocie having suicune and momboo having virizion. Or Ocie having manaphy/phione and Momboo having shaymin

Anyways! Those are my thoughts on the characters partner pokemon! If you have suggestions PLEASE give them! I definitely want to come up with some pokemon for the npcs and gods aswell!

Campfire Cooking In Another World x Reader

It's been so long since I decided to make Part 2 haha.

The manga update is so slow, but still. I'm happy that it's not only an Isekai, but that the author of this novel is a meat lover. haha.

Chapter 2 : "Cook a ginger-fried pork and you get a legendary beast as a familiar! 101 ways to get a familiar."

"Hey, Human, can you not hear me?"

In front of you stood a big magical freaking wolf. Talking like it was a normal thing in that world. Though it is possible, as you and Mukoda got transferred out of the blue, the way the warriors act surprised as well is something that any beast could say. It isn’t normal.

He repeated his words again, this time getting impatient. "OI! Are you deaf?"

You immediately nagged Mukoda, signaling him to give his plate, followed by you. It wasn’t even in front of this beast when he immediately chopped down the food.

"It’s.. It’s a Fenrir."

Just hearing Werner is enough information to know that this beast, who was busy devouring the food, isn’t any ordinary beast.

"It is good, but there is not enough. Give me more." Fenrir demanded licking the sauce off of the corner of his mouth. Even Mukoda was curious and wary of the monster in front of him. All the members of Iron Will can’t even move at the appearance of this Fenrir they called.

"D-do as it says, Mukoda. Y/N."

"But there’s none left…" Mukoda whispered, glancing at you as you said the same thing.

-Hey, what should we do?-

-Isn’t it obvious? We need to make more.- You simply said, raising your hand in front of this beast, deriving his gaze toward you.

"E-excuse me, as you see. There’s no more... but we can make some, so is it possible that you could please wait a little bit?"

"So be it. I shall wait, so be quick."

For a beast, his demands are really high, and they remind you of your shitty boss. Only for you to brush it off as you can’t punch him like you did back then to your former boss. You're talking about a big, powerful monster that can easily kill you with one bite.

You and Mukoda quickly went to work to make this beast a big meal. You thanked God that, before Fenrir appeared, the Iron Will had defeated a monster. Which you two used as a source of meat.

"D-do you think this is enough?" Mukoda whispered, showing you a large amount of meat placed on a plate.

"Don’t ask me! I’m not the one eating it! But I think it’s enough... then what do you think mine is?"

"I think that’s good."

As soon as you two placed the plate in front of Fenrir, he didn’t take a second to devour the food in front of him. It wasn’t long before it all vanished like a vacuum that sucked up any dirt.

"More. More, I say. This is not enough!"

-Calm down, Y/N, this is a beast. You can’t punch him-

It took you two more than an hour or so to satisfy this gluttonous beast. Not only does it satisfy his stomach, but the pocket money is slowly eaten by Mokuda's online store and yours. Almost certainly, all of the ingredients purchased were yours because you had the least to pay. So while he cooks, You buy things.

What a team work. Even the Iron Will, who was still scared, tried to support you two at the back.

With a loud burp coming from Fenrir, he hummed in delight, "You two are quite skilled. That was delectable. Still, for you to satisfy me this greatly with only this much meat," Praising you both. Now this irked you so much that Mokuda held you back.

-Let go! I don’t care if I get transported into another world! What does he mean by only that much meat? Fuck you! You even devoured our money!-

-Calm down, L/N-san!-

Fenrir scoffed at your reaction, replacing it with a sneering "Okay. I shall form a contract with you."

"Fuck no-" Before you could finish those lines, Mokuda had slammed your lips shut with his palm. Chuckling sheeply.

"Haha... ah, what do you mean by that?"

"You may be skilled, but you're not that sharp, boy. Unlike your lady friend,"

-Wati.. I forgive you-

-L/N-san!?-

"I said that I would form a familiar contract with you two."

Familiar is the best way to describe it. Like those tamers from the web novel or any games. That player will have a companion who will help them on their journey. To make things easy. Imagine it like Pokemon. But instead of Pikachu being cute and reliable, you two will own an asshole one.

Mokuda tried to refuse, but Fenrir always interrupted him. He then glanced at you, asking for your help.

-Help me with this one, L/N-san!-

With a loud sigh, you then stood up. "Fenrir was it?"

"Hmm?"

"You've got guts for asking us to form a contract with you. Do you think we’ll accept it? After you've eaten all the meat and my money—!"

The Iron Will group and Mokuda quickly shove you away. Mokuda was so wrong to ask for your help. He should have seen this coming. Knowing you for all those years. He knew how you felt when someone demanded something and that person, who was now a beast, was rude to you or both of you two.

"What did you say?! You dare refuse a contract... with me, a Fenrir? Kin to the goddess of victory, Ninrir? I could not imagine that you two would do something so... bold!" Fenrir exclaimed, standing in a threatening form.

"I-it’s not that!" Mokuda defended

"Yes!"

"Huh?!"

"N-no. Don’t listen to her. She’s in her days; that’s why she’s acting up!" Mokuda quickly made up a good lie. Sheepishly laughing the sweat away. Not only for Fenrir but for you as well, as you're now eyeing him. In a ‘The fuck did you just say?’

"Hmph. Well, what is it? Hm?"

"Ah.." He then peeked at you again, and you repeatedly shook your head, while the Iron Will had the opposite reaction. Telling him to say yes already.

"Fine…"

You could only sigh while snarling at Fenrir, who has a big smug on his lips. eyeing you to tell you that he won.

"Indeed. Well, then, we will begin the rite of contracting. Come here." Fenrir patted the ground next to him. Mokuda followed his instructions. As soon as their foreheads touched each other, a light shone within them, closing the contract.

"It’s almost done, now, you. Next"

"No, thank you. Mokuda can have you all to himself." You said you were raising your hand. You're not feeding a giant dog and spending your money on him. Even if you see the benefit of making a contract with him, you just don’t have that much energy to cook for a large portion. Heck. Mokuda even made you ramen because you were too tired to make it yourself.

-You can’t leave me! Help me on this one... L/N-san-

You sigh. Even if you’re a prideful person, you will lower that pride when it comes to people who you owe to or someone like Mokuda. He did help you with many things, and this will be his payment for it.

-Okay, but you're going to feed him-

-*Sigh* Deal-

"Now the contract is complete. You should be grateful to have me as a familiar"

"More like a curse," you murmured. It was a good thing that Fenrir didn’t hear you.

Fenrir was about to request another food, but when he saw something to you two, "Hm? You have the appraisal skill, I see. Could you two be a summoned he--mmph!" only for you and Mokuda to shut him up. He was confused as to what you two were doing, but as soon as you told him that it was a secret, he understood.

‘Ohh, I see. Okay, understoon.’

‘At least he listened,' you thought, removing your hand from his mouth.

"Well, then. Confirm your status."

With a sigh, you two did what Fenrir requested. As soon as you two opened it. There was something new. Just below the skills. Written a familiar name: Fenrir.

"Now I am a magic beast contracted to you two. Since that is the case, you two, as the masters, have to take care of me, your charge. Well then, I will be looking forward to... three meals a day."

-What…? Wait, do you know about this? L/N-san? Oi!-

-Can’t hear you, and you agreed that you would take charge of him-

-So you already know this... *hmhp* This is so unfair-

"Ohh, I had forgotten. As proof of the bond, you two must give me a name."

"Okui" In English it means Gluttony as Fenrir already showed who he was. You gave it without hesitation; that name really suits him.

"What did you say?" Fenrir exclaimed, hissing at the name. He's not that gluttonous, right?

"Then, pochi? Or spot?" Mokuda suggested, at the same time sweating at how original the name was. Earning a look at you two with the "are you serious face?"

"Are you making fun of me?"

‘What the hell? He’s pretty selfish, isn’t he? Now I know why L/N-san wants to give him to me.. hmm.’

"Then, since you’re a Fenrir, how about Fel?"

"Hm, Fel? That is good—more than her. Okay. I shall take it; from today on, I am Fel." Fel snorted. Not only did he receive that name, but from now on he would have those delicious foods every day. What a lucky day for him!

"M-mukohda- Y/N"

"Hmm, what’s wrong? Werner, are you all right?"

"Y-yeah, I’m fine, but…"

"You don’t look like it," you commented, as he looked like he wanted to puke.

"*Cough* To think I’d lay my eyes on a legendary beast, a Fenrir... you see. There are legends of one being seen around 300 years ago, but I’ve never heard of anyone forming a contract and making it a familiar."

-What did I get myself into!-

-Hey, I’m also in contract with him. -

"There are only enough of us Fenrirs to count on one hand, after all." "It seems there was one that formed a contract around 700 years ago, but this is my first time forming a contract as well, even though I have liked for over 1000 years."

"And here I thought I was the oldest one." You whispered.

"For the opportunity to eat something this good, serving a human for several tens of years is nothing."

Fenrir didn’t hide the fact that he only made that contract just for the food. You would too, as Mokuda is good at cooking. If there was a competition, he would undoubtedly win. So does the Iron Will group, but they too praised your cooking. These two are really made for each other.

A couple of days have passed since you two made a contract with the legendary Fenrir. Or, to use the exact word, since Mokuda has this gluttonous beast beside you two. As of now, the group was walking near the border.

The Iron Will has this nervousness about it. They're nervous about what will happen if they hit the border with Fenrir tagging along. They’re not nervous for them, but for you two, who were busy admiring the new place.

*Sigh*

"Is something wrong, Werner?"

"No, we’re just about to hit the border, so I was wondering what to do."

"What do you mean?" You asks

"Nonono, they’ll definitely stop us like this!"

"Ahhh…?"

"You see, all the border guards will probably come out at once. I’d like to believe that they’ll withdraw once they realize we mean no harm, but..."

"Even if the entire royal army were to fight it at once, they could not stand up to a fenrir." You agreed with what the old dude said (Lamon).

Not only you learned that Fel is a gluttony beast that lives more than a thousand years and makes your money look like dust. But you learned that their species destroyed a whole country. Though it was just a historical fact, you doubt they didn’t do it. More importanlty. Fel has a big ego.

"There is no need to worry. If they will harm these two or myself, then all I have to do is fight them. If they mean us harm, then they can fall to ruin. If they don’t want that, then they just have to leave us alone. It is as simple as that." Fel tried to ease their worries, but it didn’t help due to his threatening aura.

But you do see his point. The term is like if life threw you a pie. Throw it back, but with double the cream. You can’t help but hum, agreeing with what he said.

"More importantly, is it not about time for food?"

L/N-san, please help me. -

-No, thank you. I’m good-

The group finds a quiet place to rest before continuing. Mokuda had called for you, asking if you have anymore meat, of which you only found a small portion. Fenrir, who saw it, poked you two, gaining your attention. "Hey, I wish for meat."

"Really? Then if you want meat that badly, why don't you catch some yourself? You eat it all up!" You yelled. Mokuda is trying to calm you down. Maybe it’s your day.

"Hm? I see, then. I shall catch some immediately. Wait for me."

"Okay, don’t come back."

‘L/N-san.. really?’ Mokuda thought chuckling. Even if you and Fel don’t get along very well, there’s always a time when you and he have a normal conversation.

"Mokuda-san, Y/N-san. You can just use the red boar meat, you know?"

"No, no, we can’t do that. Not after all of you went through the trouble of killing it."

"Beside, if Fel wants meat. He needs to provide for his own meals." You continued, helping Mokuda set up all the cooking material.

With what you two did, you earned their trust and respect. Even if they find it cool how you two can order around a Fenrir, you two just thought of two things. Fenrir is a beast who lured a human to make a contract for food, as well as for gluttony.

"I caught one. Hurry up and cook." Fel caught something that wasn’t even a normal beast. The beast looks like an ostrich with a dinosaur feature. What's more, it was a B-rank monster. A rock bird. But a bird is a bird. They have the same system, but what would it taste like?

"You know we don’t know how to take that apart, fel. We’ll have to ask them to do it."

"Also, we’ll give them all the materials other than the meat."

"Do as you like, as long as I can eat met. I have no problem."

And so the rock bird was beautifully taken apart by the members of Iron Will. Now you’re a fan of gory movies and comics, but watching them tear them apart in front of your own eyes is something your stomach can’t handle. Still looking at the fresh meat, it makes your stomach grumble.

You quickly coughed to cover it up, but it was heard by Fel, who snorted at you.

"Shut up"

"Hey, what do you think it's best to cook with it?"

Glancing at Mokuda, "Hmm, fried chicken? That would be easier. But what do you have in mind?"

"What about this?"

"That would do."

Soon, Mokuda began his cooking show with you as his assistant. Helping him chop the vegetables and make the onion soup. You two made Teriyaki Rock bird and Onion Soup.

"Hey, where is my potion?"

"Patience. Mokudo-san is now cooking it. Be grateful that we’re two and not one. Or you will wait longer."

"Hmhp"

After feeding everyone and Fel. It was time for you and Mokuda to take a break and eat the delicious food. Though it may irk you that you began cooking for Fel, it is better than watching Mokudo struggle to cook a lot of teriyaki. As for all of the meat other than yours and Mokudas disappearing into Fel’s stomach,

Oh, I actually have an answer for that. A while ago, for fun, I came up with teams for all of them, with one rule being one legendary/mythical per Link. Here’s the list:

Wild: Milotic, Staraptor, Graveler, Luxray (the four champions), Metagross (guardians), and Miraidon (master cycle zero)

Time: Decidueye (ghost grass owl), Ninetails (Keaton), Rapidash (Epona), Trevenant (Great Deku Tree. Also ghost), Galvantula (gold skulltula), and Celebi (green time traveling fairy)

Sky: Sylveon (his feelings for Zelda), Drampa (the dragons), Excadrill (mogmas), Rotom (robots), Aegislash (Fi), and Ho-Oh (giant red bird)

Warrior: Incineroar (his cocky personality), Gallade (a chivalrous knight), Meowstic male (the scarf), Zoroark (Cia), Braixen (Lana), and Keldeo (a young one on a similar journey as him)

Wind: Gyrados (giant monster fish), Sharpedo (a nasty shark who was used by a pirate), Jumpluff (Koroks), Dragonite (Valoo), Tentacruel (big octos), and Lugia (deity of the sea who creates storms)

Twilight: Misdreavus (Midna), Mudsdale (Epona), dusk form Lycanroc (twilight wolf), Chandelure (poes), Gogoat (goats), and Zacian (dog with sword)

It was fun to come up with these teams! For the most part they were fairly easy to come up with. For Wind it was hard choosing between Lugia and Kyogre, but I eventually settled on the former.

Little Chibi draws of my Legendary Wolf Warriors + Thomas in Digimon College AU; little snips of their interests and bond with their respective Digimon.

✨Scars upon the Warriors occurred during their time in the digital world; and colored hair from Jason, Sora, Yamato, and Dany’s are due to the digital world’s influence as well as their deepening connection to their Digimon. Occurs after the tamers sever their connections to the real world.

✨Thomas is technically not an official LWW in my stories (he is a minor character who is Lidia’s spouse), however in my Digimon College AU he has gotten a bigger role to play. Since he was taken to the digital world alongside the others his fate was kind of decided in the long run of things. After some time during the “reboot”, Lidia, Earthamon and he encountered the rogue Hounmon, and kind of ended up with each other when in trouble and he defended the estrange Digimon in a near-death situation. The event earned Hounmon’s respect and the need to defend Thomas led him to digivolving and becoming partners.

✨While not part of the Seven Warrior Gods, Hounmon’s past is linked to the Warrior Gods during their original reign. Because of this connection, Hounmon and Thomas have a bigger role to play during the final events of the story! Overall, I love how his design turned out!

bad boy tured good: How has your F/O changed for the good being with you?

Ah, dearest Jason ;;w;; I wouldn't necessarily call him a "bad boy" more like someone that hasn't let himself be hardened by the cruelty and indoctrination of his "supposed" father's ideals and abuse in the last 15 years of his life (or 18 years in Digimon College Au). This whole thing plays into how Jason has changed for the better with Dany/me influence. Please skip the next two paragraphs, by all means, to get to the main point lol ;;w;;!

(In both Legendary Wolf Warriors and Digimon College Au, Jason is raised by his alpha/leader stepfather, who rules with an iron fist/paw. Leaning more into the former, his father believes in a "survival of the fittest" mentality to succeed and wouldn't hesitate to literally kill anyone that stood in his way, that included Jason's actual father and his mother later on down the road. He would have also killed his sister had his mom not made a last-ditch effort to save her (which is throwing her into a raging river when being chased; she survives~).

Even in the years after, Jason managed to keep his mind from being warped and twisted entirely by his leader. Up until he had had enough of that way of living, his leader confronted him and challenged Jason's desire to leave with a fight. In the emotional desire to run and also just let out his own internal anger towards his leader, his powers of the Storm finally manifested and gave him the strength to kill him (he didn't want to, but lack of control lead him to do it).)

So with that bit in mind, Jason definitely came from a traumatic point when he officially met Dany + the other LWW's. Additionally, the realization of his powers and the haunting mantras of his father that linger only make him vulnerable in controlling his ability and emotions. Dany definitely takes that leap forward into helping him control his ability and his pains more so than the others after a certain point. In doing so, he gradually becomes more open, speaks more vocally, or chips into his own desires and wants without feeling a sense of guilt for stating his needs outwardly. He also gains confidence in his ability with the help of Danielle and the others, learning to control it much better where he doesn't hesitate or be overwhelmed by the power.

Jason has always had a good moral compass, despite the bad circumstances that were dealt onto him. He does occasionally suffer the haunting presence of his alpha every so often but has learned how to ground himself from it. He is thankful to Dany + the others in that regard.

Thank you very much for this ask! Honestly, there was definitely much more I wanted to write, but just think it was too much of a ramble about Jason's steady growth after meeting the others and Dany. One would say him killing his alpha was that breaking point to him being his own person and following through with his own beliefs and ideals. But it is the lingering trauma that remains, the survivor's guilt he carries, and the lasting emotional damage his alpha left on him and never being able to be his true self without being beaten or hurt from the attempts; plus, the sudden realization of being a Legendary Wolf Warrior (He actually doesn't know much about the stories, so to find out he is one while journeying to the FoD's kind of breaks him further). It is the healing process that begins once he meets Dany + co., breaking the chains he carried with him after leaving his past behind. It is a messy and long road ahead, but eventually, he finds his way out of the raging storm into the calmness that followed after.

I hope this all makes some lick of sense ;;w;; much appreciation for allowing me to ramble about my gentle storm <3.

The long-legged Hudson Bay wolf is sometimes referred to as the tundra wolf or Canadian wolf. Although in appearance similar to the Arctic wolves, it forms a distinct subspecies within the canine family, Canidae. As the name suggests, this wolf species lives in the grassland and forest as well as in the cold steppe north and west of the Hudson Bay in Canada. The beige to light grey, sometimes nearly white-coloured animals live together in small packs. Their main food is the North American reindeer, which they follow in autumn to warmer areas.

Because of its remarkable hunting abilities, this wolf is revered by the northern First Nations, the indigenous American peoples who live in what is now Canada. Its intelligence and communication skills are also legendary, which is why masks and figures depicting wolves were popular with warriors. In the legends and myths of these tribes, wolves, like bears, are generally considered closely related to humans and are often depicted as their protectors.

This majestic animal presented here has the characteristic light coat of this species, which contains beautiful fine traces of copper red. It was prepared by a Swiss taxidermist after its natural demise in a zoo.
