Nothing gave me more whiplash IN MY LIFE than going from acowar to acofas.
Remember when Feyre closed the chapter on her relationship with Tamlin and wished him well? Coz the Inner Circle sure keeps forgetting.

rockstar!eddie reaction when he sees assistant!reader all glammed up for their first big awards show - just desperate and proud to show her off to the world but also possessive & making it known she’s his 🥵
the best part about this is that you don't even notice the way he'd been staring at you because you'd been busy all night
their label assigned manager and his own assistant are there, but they made sure to bring rick and you as well (they trust you more than anyone, not just eddie, the whole band). rick is there wearing the only suit he owns and networking around, but you're running corroded coffin like it's the navy.
leading the boys where they need to be, going over their schedule for the night, making sure they know where to sit in the theater, if they need anything else. you're busy, and you don't notice how eddie has had his eyes glued to you all night, like he's in a trance.
your dress isn't even new, just a long black number you had in your closet since forever, a backless dress. you convinced to do your hair in your bedroom while you took care of your own makeup, not thinking about how you'd be seen. people who work behind the scenes don't usually get noticed.
he noticed you, though. like he always does.
his hand on your waist when he thinks no one's watching, guiding you ahead of them. a brush of a hand, wishing he could hold it. a kiss to your exposed neck in a dark corner, getting a kick of how it makes you shiver. pulling you into a quick kiss and getting lightheaded when he noticed his cologne rubbed off on your dress.
he'd have you on his arm right there, right in front of the incessant flashing of the cameras, in front of all his fellow artists. he knew he could, no one would be able to stop him — but the satisfaction of knowing that, no matter how much others looked at you, he'd be the one taking you home that night.
your dress looked way prettier on the floor of apartament, anyway.

y’all headcanoning poseidon as purposefully sending medusa’s head back to sender knowing gabe would open it is like. entirely missing the point of sally jackson’s character and also SO fucked up if it was poseidon?? who used medusa’s head to kill an asshole man?? like!! what the fuck! not to mention sally jackson?? ms. sally jackson? who kills her abusive husband? who on multiple occasions rejected the help of the man who is both a god and her former lover bc she wants to build her life herself—? and who does it? “if my life is to mean anything, i have to live it myself.” those are sally jackson’s words. the abuse itself was already incredibly watered down in the show and that is upsetting. to have gabe accidentally kill himself because he’s a bumbling idiot waters down her agency against her abuse and is even more so upsetting. to have not just a man but a literal god kill her husband for her is so. do you not see how that’s even worse. and then add in that god being poseidon and the method of murder is medusa’s head? i don’t even have words to articulate it, just—
no matter how you cut it, narratively you only disrespect and degrade sally when gabe’s life is taken by any hand that isn’t hers, and having that hand be poseidon’s is just wild.

i read the phrase “i access my femininity through my masculinity” once (in the context of butchness) and it’s stuck w me ever since. now that i feel like i’ve grown into myself as a butch i find myself able to enjoy more stereotypically “feminine” things that i tended to reject when i was younger and still figuring myself out. things like makeup, jewelry, nail polish, colourful clothes, cutesy aesthetics, heels…they no longer feel stifling to me. my relationship to them has changed because i no longer feel like i’m obligated to perform femininity. rather, i can pick and choose which parts of it enjoy, and simply leave the rest behind. and i’m secure enough in my identity as a masculine person to know that enjoying these things doesn’t detract from my masculinity—in fact, i can use them to construct and further my own masculinity in a way that feels genuine to who i am.

in this episode Imogen:
Took off her circlet. You know, that one that finally gave her peace and quiet, that soothed her constant pain and anxiety, and that gave her the confidence and energy to get back to fully feeling comfortable on her own skin after years. That’s the one. She just took it off.
Told laudna that she was disgusted by the fact that delilah was always watching them. You know, something that laudna fully has no control over whatsoever.
Admitted that she felt like she’s “tainted” and that the gods have been ignoring her for her entire life, in spite of her trying over and over to reach them. So she doesn’t really want to save them.
Mentioned being genuinely scared of meeting Liliana again. Totally not a problem, I’m sure nothing bad will happen there. Specially not in the next couple of episodes.
Said some unfair stuff to fearne, that I genuinely think is coming from somewhere else entirely, and I hope we circle back to eventually.
It’s safe to say that I am officially ✨worried✨ about the farmgirl

Can we talk about how strong older Sofia will be? Not just emotionally, but physically. By the time she's 16 she'll have been working as a protector, which I have no doubt is a very physically demanding job, for around 6 years. She's going to be strong, like she could take down someone easy.

I think women getting married young is almost always not a good idea and I wish women who did get married young and had it actually work out wouldn’t make that conversation all about them and their being exceptional lol. you’re not the rule nor is your reality reason to forego structural analysis )):

if orin was a man she would be so much more popular and given the most empathy
#orin the red#orin#and not met with the misogyny or people not acknowledging what she is a victim to. she's faces violence and the only person#she's been groomed into “loving” is a man who had her by raping her own sister he wants to rape her or for durge to rape her and abuses her#i loathe that a character who is a woman who has faced things that are part of really graphic serious subject matter as a joke or to mock#like if people look at orin and go haha stupid evil crazy woman larian should have done better and not made light of this#the fact that people think she's the least sympthatic is pure misogyny#how tragic that i will never see her turn her rage violence and chaos at the men who abused her groomed her and used her#and she dies so some fucking man can live and get a new life#if you're gonna yell at me about this post i will not respond#even dare i say the most popular villain? if there wasn't durge/gortash? even larian panders to any fav male characters she gets no love#ketheric is an abusive selfish father and the game and fandom see him as some sympathetic character....orin has zero autonomy thinking#ketheric is not even sympathetic but even saying gortash has it the worst more than orin is pure misogyny and your blind thirsting#she has even more trauma than any male version of her can have because misogyny but that's the irony#she would get the empathy if she was a man & female characters in general would be more loved/popular/defended if they were men lbr#those essays an energy women and fandom only put into expressing empathy for tragic men

Hey, I get I've been raving about Astarion a lot but, like, are there ACTUALLY people out here who hate Gale and are calling him an incel? Is this a thing? Thank God I apparently curate well bc holy fucking shit I would be having heart palpitations DAILY out of SHEER ANGER.
So, like, we're always going to make fun of our faves and whatnot bc lbr "bro, you were banging Mystra and fucked up that bad?" THOUGH TO BE FAIR, if you're a wizard it isn't that hard to bang Mystra. It's kind of her thing. P sure her banging Elminster as many times as she has is the main reason he's still kicking and out being the Faerûnian Gandalf that he is in-game. Mystra's bodycount aside (especially since that has ZERO bearing on ANYTHING least of all her portfolio and purpose), like, Gale is a very intelligent man. He is also what we would consider as an objectively good person. Save the kids, help the tieflings, be kind and compassionate to those the average "good" aligned folks would consider "worthy" and yeah. He is literally the Alistair Theirin of BG3 if you Fusion Danced him together with Awakening Anders.
That being said, he is also very deeply flawed in that he KNOWS he is brilliant and in that brilliance, knowing his own talent, he thinks he knows better than even his own goddess BUT-! But, but, but, he is mortal, is young enough and in an age to not be able to wrack up the accomplishments of, say, Elminster whom he clearly knows on a fairly personal level so, like anyone who knows they are capable of doing great things, he feels INFERIOR bc he hasn't, in his mind, PROVEN that he is as great as he knows he is. And that's the hubris of mortality.
Objectively, LOGICALLY, he knows that he's more than proven himself capable. Mystra wouldn't have started a relationship with him otherwise, and she never asked him to prove himself. It was his own desperation to prove that he was worthy of her and thinking he knew EVERYTHING that lead to his terrible situation. Is he very clinical and logical about it? Yes. Is he squirrelly about it in the beginning? Very much, yes. Hell, I would be. No one wants to be friends with a literal ticking time bomb and the man is VERY lonely. Hell, that's the name of the game baybee! Baldur's Gate 3: These Bitches Need a Hug; YES EVEN LAE'ZEL, I WILL FIGHT Y'ALL!
Back to Gale, your friendship with him is something he very much treasures and when he starts all his finger wiggling and magic talk he's like any nerd sharing the thing he is most passionate about. He is also the first to admit he fucked up. HOWEVER, that does not (imo) warrant him needing to sacrifice himself all for Mystra's forgiveness, and even Elminster isn't on board with that. And, like, when he talks about Mystra it's never in an accusatory manner towards her. He clearly still loves her, likely always will, but that never negates his love for the PC who chooses to romance him. He is also very much prone to falling into the same pitfall of hubris that got him before and very clearly needs guidance that, yes, Mystra clearly did neglect in giving him. But he never outright blames her, at least he's not in my playthroughs thus far even after having spoken with her in the temple. He's just a sad, lonely nerd and that does not automatically make him an incel; y'all just don't know how to read, listen, or understand nuance. Apparently.
tl;dr
Gale deserves as much love as Astarion but bc he isn't evil "babygirl" material that's "fixable" he's just called an incel when he can be a very genuine friend, but what are those nowadays I guess?

At the end of the day, it just really sucks when you can't even enjoy a new release by your favorite artist because the greater internet has decided she's their acceptable outlet of misogyny and they have to comment or hate on her every move every single time.

It would’ve been a motorbike accident (her riding a bike into the TARDIS should’ve been clue 1 that this girl was not getting a cosy ending) She’d have been trying to break the world record for top speed on the M25 during rush hour. Unfortunately she took out 6 people with her. Oops.
i know you said it kills her but i swear to god if clara oswald woke up in hospital and was told she accidentally killed six people she'd be like well six is such a weird number to leave it on i can't stop now can i
