After YEARS of saying I was gonna draw this, I finally did.

Here is a visual guide to my vampires! The first of a mini field guide I wanna do. We start with a breakdown of the 3 different sub species of vampire.

Snow, Desert and Forest.

The Desert type is believed to be the oldest of the three and vampires with ties to the first of their kind will be of the desert type.

A thin, athletic build with long legs and a slender snout make them look very regal. They are the fastest of the three, though they are better at sprinting than long distance running.

The second oldest is the Snow type. They have evolved to live in the colder parts of Atmos, with long fluffy fur and a stockier build to help them survive the harshest of winters.

Most of the population has white or lighter hair, to help them blend into the snow. Their large paws act like snowshoes to help them traverse their territory.

Lastly we have the Forest vampires. They evolved a bit more recently but have quickly become the most numerous. Their medium build and short coat make them very adaptable to most environments.

They have a high stamina, allowing them to chase prey for miles compared to their desert cousins and their varied coat patterns help them blend into the different biomes of Atmos.

Eclipse is a mix of all three :3

Roberto is the son of Carlos and Mora from a VERY popular band that just so happened to be featured in Postcards from Buster! They had been moving around but decided to settle down in Mexico! However, his Abuela had him move from Mexico to Oaky oaks based on “Bad behavior”. … which happened to happen after the love of his 6 year old life, suddenly moved without a trace. Roberto has no idea who the girl was… but somehow has met the newest girl with the brown fur and has a weird feeling he knows her… but the girl has NO memory of him whatsoever! But.. why does he feel the need to tease her and be with her if she’s “Not the one?” Well… maybe Ace and the gang can help figure it out!

Annie and Roberto are both of my main original characters. When I made them… I SPECIFICALLY made them for each other. I WAS gonna make him a dog, but I thought that’s too cliche. As we all know dogs and cats don’t get along well. But it woulda been TOO ON THE NOSE that they WEREN’T supposed to be together. So I remember watching the ending of Chowder (y’know “Chowder grows up”?) and I remembered that Chowder was a mix between a “cat rabbit bunny kid” and I wanted to pay an homage to one of my fave cartoon characters!… and then another homage to a Marc brown inspired cartoon Postcards from Buster! I loved Carlos and Mora’s songs and I felt they made a stamp on EVERY episode of PCFB. Since I also love music, I thought it would be fitting that their kid would ALSO have a dream of being a rockstar! But I wanted everyone (including Ace’s gang) to have a special connection towards each other (including Goosey and fish, who I’ll be adding maybe tomorrow??) so that the gang will have a reason to be together… for a danger I won’t post yet!

I will say I HAVE written the story for it though, just want to cause a slow freaking burn. So BARE WITH ME!

Currently digitizing some old sketchbooks and came across one of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn, back from 2018. A lot of the color an texture in this got lost in the scan, so hopefully I can get a better quality scan sometime.

Eye of Time

On one of the planets overseen by the Lanterns, a strange object manifested. Circling, trapped in a dome, Hal swore it was a red eye and it was watching him.

The eye caused different alterations in time, causing the planet to be in a state of pause (kinda) and everything to happen very slowly. All the inhabitants were affected by this effect, something they did not notice for a long time. They asked the lanterns for help (although the message arrived very late), and the lanterns decided to protect the object. It would be dangerous if power could be harnessed and fell into the wrong hands.

When said changes and temporary alterations happened in their headquarters, they gave the "eye" to Hal and told him to take it to the League to be studied, unfortunately they did not have enough knowledge of cursed items, and perhaps one of Hal's companions should know something. Diana almost fell out of her chair when she recognized that the eye belonged to Kronos, even though he was long dead.

As they began to discuss where to put the eye, Justice League Dark was summoned, and Fate informed them not to worry, as someone would claim the eye soon (which didn't alleviate anyone's concerns.) Though it would be a few months before they could.

Discussions continued until a rip in space made itself known. And a teenager saw them furious, showing his fangs. How could they display Clockwork's eye like a decoration and argue like it had no owner? It took him years to find out where the Observants had left it, damn it!

Of course, the League had forgotten that the eye altered time, and a few months was the equivalent of a few seconds.

With only six She in the entirety of the admittedly small Audi population (last census read a little over 1.2 million individuals), each have quite a large weight put on their shoulders to keep their society running smoothly.

To help split the load, each She is given a certain important aspect of their culture to represent and gain a kind of mastery over. The load is split even more amongst their own personal entourages that predominantly consist of their multiple spouses, their children, and any immediate family. On rare occasions, a non-blood relation is let into the entourage if they show unique skill and promise in their chosen aspect.

Under the cut is a light dive into what each She represents.

Tsvisthi Au, the Social Organizer: (translation: the unwavering love of Us) community outreach, inter- and intrapersonal relationships, diplomacy, family planning, and marriage counsellor

Pasit, the Engineer: (translation: building, the home) city growth and planning, architecture, transportation, medical equipment, acoustics, audio devices, and patent review

Satakis, the Artist: (translation: energetic performance) theater, music, and tactile arts (works closely with Gyenivk Au)

Aodilmok, the Scientist: (translation: planet life) biological, geographical, and zoological sciences, physics, mathematics

Gyenivk Au, the Historian: (translation: the perpetual time of Us) anthropology, historical preservation, and storykeeper

Haamivsk Au, the Doctor: (tranlsation: the life of Us) prenatal care, medical clinics, genetics, developmental and evolutionary biology

An interesting note is that She did not give themselves official mastery titles until interplanetary diplomatic relations were established, as Audi can differentiate She by verbal context alone. Mastery titles were made to assist foreigners in 'putting names' to a group who all share the same name.
