Tears of the Kingdom: The Final Analysis
Part 7
Part 6 here
Tumblr media
In the next shot, we have Link and Teba's son, Tulin, jumping on some kind of trampoline to get height.
Fortunately for us, we've seen that trampoline before, so we know exactly what this is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Link and Tulin are disembarking from their ship ride into a set of new ruins.
Tumblr media
Link waits for the ship alone, though, so Tulin either had to tag along after ("Wait for me, I can help!") or he gets on the ship first and helps steer it down.
Tumblr media
The architecture here looks almost too smooth to be Zonai. Red paint and triangular markings also hint towards something else, even though the ship itself has a Zonai figurehead.
Tumblr media
Then these ruins down here are darker than the rest, with some kind of orange glow.
Tumblr media
On the jump up, we can see much more of them; they seem to be their own separate platform set to the dropoff point.
Tumblr media
This, however, looks to be the same material as the spot they're closest to. At the very least, the dropoff isn't isolated.
Tumblr media
Then this has the same shape, but darker material. Are the ruins being corrupted?
Tumblr media
A ship departs in the background, dark with red sails, just like we saw on the ship boarding scene.
Tumblr media
And down here, we see the glowing spiral of a generator shrine.
Tumblr media
Moving higher, we can see the full structures. The two identical ones are pillars, there's a flat platform towards the back, and a tall structure that almost looks like it's been built on, like a lookout post.
Tumblr media
Next, Link draws a carriage of passengers.
Tumblr media
The pieces are stuck together with Ultrahand. However, they're also very specific shapes rather than something improvized; this carriage likely broke down at the side of the road, and Link can stop and offer to help.
Tumblr media
A Rock Octorok shoots a fireball at Link
Tumblr media
Which he then catches with Recall midair
Tumblr media
And sends hurtling back.
While it's being sent back, the Octorok moves, meaning that even if you stop something, time doesn't slow down to allow you to do so. If you manage to catch an arrow, you'll still be in the line of fire as you're figuring out how to shoot it back.
Tumblr media
There's also a mineshaft entrance back here.
Tumblr media
When Recall completes and color comes back, it turns bright blue inside. Two things come to mind, right off the bat.
Tumblr media
First, Twilight Princess's Goron Mines. We know from the terrain that this is Eldin, and the mines here had magnetic ore inside that could be clung to with iron boots.
Tumblr media
Then the Timeshift Stones from Skyward Sword, which turn blue when struck and extend a time field around them.
However, there are arguments against both these reads, too; for magnet ore, we'd have to ask what purpose it has. In Twilight Princess, it served as a game mechanic to allow unique traversal. In Tears of the Kingdom, we don't have any iron boots-style item we can use. On top of that, we have the Ascend power.
Tumblr media
Which would make any kind of stick-to-walls-to-get-new-places redundant, if not completely useless.
On the side of Timeshift stones, while they are blue when active, they're usually a deep purple.
Tumblr media
So if the mines were Timeshift, they would need to be active, and we would be able to see some kind of terrain shift around them.
However, I did find one more thing that matches the blue glow.
Tumblr media
In Skyward Sword, there's a minigame called "Thrill Digger," in which Link plays a game of bomb flower minesweeper. On the walls of this minigame, though, you can find rupee ore, which you can shoot for extra rupees.
Tumblr media
The blue in here could easily be a vein of blue rupee ore.
Tumblr media
The colors look about right for it, the final cut rupee just has a more polished, vibrant look to it.
Tumblr media
Up next, Link has a rocket in the Faron region.
Tumblr media
It appears to be Fused to some kind of shield, and it carries the Zonai colors. The strange ring around the shield makes me think it's the Zonai equivalent of a Sheikah Guardian Shield.
Tumblr media
He flies up with it, and we get a better view of what the rocket is attached to
Tumblr media
The shield itself is round, very much Zonai colored, and about the size of a pot lid. The field it gives off fluctuates like it's expending energy, so it may have a limited charge.
Out of image space again, see you in part 8!

Okay in your godly parents swap au I'd love to know more about Leo, Its such an interactive concept to put him with Bellona and the fact that people don't think hes roman enough or whatever? But his still really clever and has probably saved people's asses more times than they like to admit? Love that
Also Frank as a son of Hermes is also really interesting would love to hear more about that too
You're asking about my AU? I've waited YEARS for someone to ask me about my au.
(If you get that reference I love you)
We'll start with Leo because I feel like there's more to talk about with him.
Leo is the son of Bellona and is a member of the fifth cohort. He came to Camp Jupiter after the death of his mortal mother when he was eight.His best friends are the two Praetors Piper and Jason. Now he climbed the ranks with Piper to make it to Praetor status. He never really cared about being Praetor but was just there for Piper. During war games Leo would use the traps more as pranks to the other side instead of actually fighting. With that he used a dagger. Not a sword, not a spear, not even a shield, just a measly dagger he had since he was nine. That combined with him being in the fifth cohort and a "wild child" people didn't trust him with important decisions. However, he is his mother's son and is a great strategist. People were so focused on the prank part they didn't notice Piper shadow traveling behind them.
When they finally got close to the position of Praetor they realized that only one of them could be Praetor. Many excepted a battle of some sorts to see who would become the next Praetor. To their shock (?) Leo just kinda dropped out of the running allowing his very ambitious friend to get the job. However, Leo was allowed to become a Centurion instead. During these meetings he was surprisingly serious and had amazing battle strategies and knew a lot about wars.
During the Second Titan War Leo provided a lot of helpful advice to Camp Jupiter. When he was actually on the battle field for real his dagger was probably the most lethal weapon out there. He lived up to being the son of a war goddess. When he was out there he also used those pranks he got so good at using to distract monsters. Sadly many people didn't like this tactic so he got way less credit than he deserved.
When Piper went missing he was offered the role again but he declined AGAIN. Jason was weirdly disappointed by that. He became good friends with the new comers Percy and Hazel. He was able to tell that Hazel was from the past and that there was something about him that threw her off. He went on a quest with Hazel and Nico to Alaska. Only after him coming back did people finally recognize his talents.
Now he is also apart of the Tartarus duo in this AU. He falls in with Piper and the typical Tartarus stuff happens. When he leaves the first person to welcome him back was Jason who hugged him tighter than anyone has before.
Frank's turn :)
Frank Zhang was by no means a troubled kid. He was just a kid from Canada whose mom and grandma died. Sure he picked a couple locks here and there but it was never a lock of importance. Okay maybe one time he stole something from one of the kids at his school but thats just because he stole it from someone else. And sure he rigged the glitter bomb to explode during the pep rally but it wasn't even his idea! They bullied him into doing it, plus it was the school colors so it was on theme. That put him in a school for troubled kids. Eventually he'd been in so many that they called up a distant relative of his in Nevada and sent him there. They put him into the wilderness school where he met Reyna.
Reyna also probably should not have been there but Frank was happy she was. The two became close friends along with Piper. Little did they know all their memories of Piper were fake. Now when he left with Annabeth and Silena to go back to camp he was claimed by Hermes. In this AU the Cabin 9 Curse is the Cabin 11 Curse.
The cabin counselor, Malcolm Pace, explains to Frank that every single on of their pranks have failed since Micheal died. One of these was a fire breathing dragon that has been in the works since before Micheal died. Miranda, the former counselor, was on bed rest from this dragon. Frank doesn't know how to feel about that as his weakness is his very burnable stick. He does the Leo thing and gets the dragon back to running. He gets it not breathe fire but to breathe out glitter.
During his time at camp he never felt more at home. Lacy, Malcolm, Miranda, his other siblings and the unclaimed campers are so welcoming. When he came back from his quest Miranda and Malcolm made him a counselor. The first prank he played on the camp as initiation Lacy helped.
Later on he is a bit wary of Hazel, a daughter of Vulcan and fire user, but they grow and their love story stories.
If anyone has anymore questions about any character feel free to ask! Also I'm not writing this into a fic so feel free to steal my idea-

Sangheili Bracket Round 2 Match 13
More info below:
Mahkee 'Chava:
Debuted in Halo 5: Guardians (voice only)
A Sangheili shipmistress within the Swords of Sanghelios, she was present during the final battles of the Blooding Years civil war during Oct. 2553. She would be the one to pick up and drop off Fireteam Osiris when they first arrived at Sanghelios, continuing to give them support and information as they battled Covenant forces on their way to meet with the Arbiter Thel 'Vadam. Once they finally met up with the Arbiter, she would pick them up and take them to a nearby SOS military base. Later, she took part in the Battle of Sunaion, once again offering Osiris support via deploying forces that aided them. However, she could not ferry them to their target of the Guardian, but instead informed them of a passage they could take to reach it.
Additional commentary: Her relationship to Oebrin and Silset 'Chava - the weaponsmith brothers mentioned in lore - is unknown, but some people believe they're her sons. Also, thanks to doing this tourney, I realized the similarities between the 'Chava name and Arbiter Fal 'Chavamee's name. Either a separate 'Chavam name exists, or Fal might be a distant ancestor to Mahkee. Surprised I haven't seen it brought up before.
Voro Nar 'Mantakree:
Debuted in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
Born June 9th, 2487, he would rise to the rank of Major and be assigned to the Incorruptible. During the Flood outbreak on High Charity, the Incorruptible's shipmaster - Tano 'Inanraree - would delusionally believe that the Flood were masterpieces of gods and attempted to get everyone on the ship infected. Before he could, however, Voro would kill him with a Needler - something which should have had him killed as heresy, but instead the entire crew agreed it had to be done and held him up as the new shipmaster. Meanwhile, Incorruptible would be attacked by the Jiralhanae-commanded Tenebrous and Twilight Compunction, causing Voro to use Lawgiver as a shield in the ensuing space battle. Tenebrous would be destroyed whilst Twilight Compunction made a temporary retreat, allowing Voro to continue attempted to eliminate any Flood-controlled ships whilst briefly creating a short truce between the Sangheili and Jiralhanae to deal with the parasite. Once the Jiralhanae attacked again, Voro ordered Incorruptible to make a slipspace jump to escape the "madness". They would arrive at the world Joyous Exultation, intercepting a wayward transmission regarding Spartans taking control of Jiralhanae ship Bloodied Spirit. Then, Voro would take part in a meeting organized by Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree, expressing the opinion that the Flood were the most dire threat and the parasite could not be allowed to escape Halo. His dissent should have had him killed, but Xytan instead acknowledged the Flood threat. Next in the meeting, an intercepted transmission would be played, revealing that Spartans had been responsible for the destruction of the first discovered Halo Ring. Gaining the addition of "Nar" to his name, Voro was appointed Fleet Master of the Second Fleet of Homogenous Clarity and instructed to go to Onyx to protect the relics there and kill the Spartans present. His fleet left just in time to escape a sudden detonation of a NOVA bomb, destroying a majority of the ships above Joyous Exultation and killing Xytan in the process. Arriving at Onyx, they would make contact with the Forerunner Sentinels there, who then denied them access to the shield world and destroyed one of the fleet's ships - Far Sight Lost. Battle between the fleet and the Sentinels would commence, while Absolution was ordered to make a slipspace jump to Onyx's northern pole only to be destroyed by a suddenly appearing wave of Sentinels. Voro would try and figure out how the Sentinels could travel so suddenly and so fast, while the rest of the Sentinels would finally be destroyed. Yet once in atmosphere, they strangely came across more Sentinels that no longer harbored hostilities towards them. Upon the sighting of familiar Forerunner scriptures, Voro ordered a pulse of the Greeting of the Ancients on the off-chance that any living Forerunners were around - and instead picked up the signal from Bloodied Spirit, tracking it in order to lead an assault against the Spartans that made it onto Onyx. In the meantime, he discovered the core room antechamber. Then, the assault would begin, with Voro given the unorthodox order for troops to carry Kig-Yar point defense gauntlets. He would directly led the second wave into battle, reaching the center of the core room antechamber. There, he came across the mortally wounded Kurt Ambrose - Spartan-051. As he prepared to give the Spartan an honorable death, everyone would be killed by FENRIS nuclear warheads that Kurt had triggered remotely - allowing the other Spartans to escape with their lives. Whilst Voro died Nov. 3rd, 2552, he is survived by two brothers - Y'zaht and Delo - who currently serve as trusted lieutenants to Sali 'Nyon in his Covenant faction.

character summaries.
WARNING. major spoilers for act 3/the end of the game for baldur's gate 3 below the cut. do NOT read unless you are okay with major story spoilers in relation to the dream guardian/the emperor and orpheus.
baldur's gate 3.
astele "nine-fingers" keene, 29. astele keene, more commonly known as "nine-fingers", is the leader of the guild, a criminal organization operating within baldur's gate. she is a calculated individual and a mastermind when it comes to planning and scheming, taking as much time and resources necessary to enact and execute a plan. she is an excellent judge of character and can rapidly assess a person's motives within moments of meeting them.
the emperor, 900+. a rogue mindflayer that has maintained an independent mind free of the elder brain's influence, the emperor is masterful at manipulating those around him and pushing them toward actions and decisions that will directly benefit him. before he was known as the emperor, he was balduran, the namesake of baldur's gate; the reputation of his previous identity and his influence over the minds of others enabled him to operate the knights of the shield within the city until being captured by enver gortash for the purposes of executing the absolute's plan by capturing civilians and implanting them with magic-infused mindflayer tadpoles.
lae'zel, 21. a formidable githyanki warrior, lae'zel is a devout follower of vlaakith, much like all gith, and is a ruthless opponent in battle. when she is implanted with a mindflayer parasite, she buries her fear of becoming that which she fears most by seeking out allies facing the same troubles as she does and seeks a cure. when it becomes apparent that her entire belief system is built on lies, she grapples with a crisis of faith while devoting herself to a cause that will free her people from vlaakith's chains.
larkin bashar, 40. a human oath of the crown paladin and member of the flaming fist. larkin has always been devoted to doing what is right, even if it's not necessarily the best option or most reasonable, which has caused him to butt heads with his little sister, liana, more often than not. while he loves liana unconditionally, it hasn't been enough to stop the two from having a falling out after an explosive fight. he goes years without hearing a word from her, until she shows up in baldur's gate with a ticking time bomb in her skull and an impossible challenge ahead of her.
liana bashar, 33. a jack of all trades, master of none. liana is a human college of lore bard hailing from whitekeep; following a nasty breakup, she leaves baldur's gate to travel around the sword coast and see what the world around her has to offer, playing at taverns and parties alike and sustaining herself on tips and the odd small quest here and there. she returns to baldur's gate to settling back in, only to be captured by the nautiloud shortly thereafter and implanted with a mindflayer tadpole.
penelope dusek, 678. an elf skilled in the art of necromancy, penelope is the brains behind the penelope dusek finishing school for the undead and the outcast, an academy in baldur's gate geared toward rehabilitating creatures deemed monstrous and educating them in the ways of polite society so that they may coexist with the people of faerun.
orpheus, 2,000+. son of gith, prince of the comet, the true heir, vlaakith's no. 1 enemy. orpheus has been trapped inside the astral prism for centuries and as of the events of baldur's gate 3, is the psychic defensive force that protects the party from falling to the elder brain's influence. his story is banned from being told and shared among the githyanki people, punishable by death, for he is the only threat to vlaakith's reign over the githyanki people.
vaira, 29. a githyanki monk, skilled at the art of deception where her motives are concerned. from an outsider's perspective, vaira is much like any of her kin, devoted to upholding vlaakith's will. in actuality, vaira has been one of a handful of githyanki devoted to the prince of the comet and seek his freedom. she is on a mission to meet with githerazi and speak to her side of the cause when she is captured by the nautiloid and implanted with a tadpole.
voss, 1,500+. a githyanki knight, vlaakith's right hand. while voss is the picture of a devoted githyanki and holds the highest honor a gith can reach, he has been plotting for centuries a way to free orpheus and liberate the githyanki people of vlaakith's rule. the key to that liberation is the astral prism, and a group of adventurers doomed to become illithid. he will do whatever he has to in order to see this mission through.
life is strange.
chloe price, 18 - 25. stubborn, mischievous and rebellious, chloe has a lot of walls built up from years of being beat down by life. her father died when she was 12 years old and the same week, her best friend max caulfield moved to seattle and steadily stopped reaching out. she has a deep fear of abandonment and tends to push people away before they can leave her, but underneath that hardened exterior, she can be a very loyal friend.
max caulfield, 18 - 25. quiet, awkward, but ever-observant, max is an aspiring photographer who discovers she can rewind time and stop disastrous events from happening when she sees her best friend, chloe, get shot in the school bathroom and rewinds time to stop it. the next week of her life is a rollercoaster of events that put her newfound powers, and everything she thinks she knows about arcadia bay and blackwell academy, to the test. she's a very kind-hearted person and is always prone to doing the right thing, even if it sometimes bites her in the ass.
steph gingrich, 18 - 25. super gay, super hot, super nerdy; steph can be hailed as "queen of the nerds" for good reason; she knows more about dnd than you, she listens to better music than you, and she can play the drums. with all of the above being said, she's got a wicked sense of humor and while she can be a lot to take in at first, she goes to bat for her friends every time and will happily tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. it's because she loves you, I'm sure.
resident evil.
ada wong, 24 - 50. not much is known about ada wong - which is more than fitting for an elite spy-for-hire. her contracts often involve tracking down samples of viruses and parasites alike that can bring about world-ending epidemics and hand deliver them to her employer at the time, regardless of their intentions. up until the raccoon city outbreak, she was fine utilizing any means necessary at her disposal to get the job done, no matter who suffered in the process. a certain rookie cop changed her philosophy on things, just enough.
albert wesker, 35 - 55. a genius in his own right, and a ruthlessly ambitious one at that. wesker is many things - cold, calculated, cunning, et cetera. his biggest ambition is to accelerate human evolution to the next step forward through the uroboros virus, wiping out the inferior specimens of humanity and elevating those that survive to a heightened existence.
ashley graham, 20 - 40. aka baby eagle, aka the president's daughter. after surviving the events in spain that nearly resulted in her being a puppet for the los illuminados that would usher in the cult's rule over the world, ashley has devoted herself to a career in occult investigation, hoping to prevent situations and experiences like her own from ever happening again.
jill valentine, 24 - 50. a former member of the raccoon city police department's special tactics and rescue services. jill valentine got thrown into the world of bioterrorism in a ploy meant to kill her and the remaining members of the S.T.A.R.S. team, but thanks to her calm nature in a crisis and quick thinking, she survived. following the raccoon city outbreak and the fall of umbrella, jill has devoted her life to fighting bioterrorism, becoming a founding member of the bioterrorism security assessment alliance (BSAA) and working to eradicate bioterrorism and the organizations that create it wherever she can.
miscellaneous.
kim possible, 16 - 20s, disney's kim possible. cheerleader by day, freelance crime fighter by night. kim is a very type-a person, she's kind, she's a little judgmental, she can be socially awkward, but she always does the right thing. she also doesn't bother with a secret identity and her parents are fine with her extracurricular hobbies, just so long as she's home by curfew.
lula mae henson, 32, project zomboid oc. a farmer based out of west point, kentucky. lula mae is just getting into the rhythm of running the family farm after the passing of her grandparents when all hell breaks loose in knox county; in less than a week, a virus causing those infected to become zombies and spread this disease ravages knox county and begins spreading through kentucky, the midwest, and eventually, the country. lula mae is one of the few who have managed to survive, her skills with growing and preserving plants a vital one as food supplies and sources begin to dwindle. but the undead are getting smarter and more resilient by the day, and there's no telling how long she'll be able to hold out.
tree gelbman, 21+, happy death day. the world's bitchiest sorority girl gets murdered on her birthday, only to reset the day and do it all over again. what she thinks is a bad dream quickly becomes an endless and repetitive cycle; as she works to find out who her killer is, she learns to be a better person.

▴ — @puxrlunae ;; Sheik & Amaron. [ DRAG ] sender physically hauls receiver to safety . ↪     𝑫𝑰𝑹𝑬 𝑺𝑰𝑻𝑼𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺
   When he had suggested that they do things together Sheik had not expected Amaron to start paying more attention. Watching every thing Sheik came home with a little closer, including the sealed scrolls with orders from the Crown. The King made very big use of Sheik, because of who he was. A Sheikah, the Son of Impa, good at his job. Every time there was a problem, when a threat would take more soldiers than he wanted to risk, his answer was to throw Sheik at it. Which–was just how it was. It’s fine because it can’t be helped.
   Apparently, Amaron didn’t think it was fine.
   There’s a monster that has been worrying the King, some big creature with a glowing eye that has been eating random travelers. It has somehow gained a small gathering of other monsters, and has started to grow in numbers. The King ignored it for too long and now it’s suddenly a problem. He waited and now the number of soldiers he would have to send, to handle a gathering like that, was a couple dozen–so he tells Sheik to handle it.
   The scroll with the orders had been left on the desk in his room, Sheik had dressed in his suit and loaded himself up with weapons. He gave Amaron a kiss on the forehead, told him to just sleep and he would be home eventually. A couple hours he had figured it would take. A simple task, in and out.
   He had hoped.
   Sheik wanted to use the night as a cover for him, use the shadows to his advantage. Apparently, this presented a different problem, because Stalfos and their other similar monsters only appeared in the dark. So while he could use the shadows, he had also increased the number of enemies he was going to have to deal with. Though they’re not difficult, any group of monsters in very large numbers can quickly overwhelm. Sheik had been fighting for what felt like hours but for each Stalfos and Stalchild he took down–they just got back up. The hoard of monsters he actually needed to kill had been using them as a shield making it hard for his harp to cut through enough to get to them.
   It was really annoying.
   They get one up on him, which is both alarm and concerning, his harp is knocked from his hands and moved too far out of his reach. Sheik digs into his suit for a bomb and before he can light it he feels himself grabbed and yanked back by the fabric of his suit. Panic first, then he’s tossed over a very familiar uniform with a sword strapped to their back and Sheik quickly begins to fight.
Tumblr media
   “No! Ανάθεμα!” He kicks, he fights, he looks desperately to the ground. “My harp, Amaron!” He can not leave it behind, nor can he leave this field without winning. “I–” He looks to the sword, looks to Amaron’s head, and bites the inside of his cheek. “I’m very sorry.”
   He grabs the hilt of the sword, pulls himself through Amaron’s hold and yanks the sword from the sheath as he twists himself off of Amaron with a kick. He flips in the air, swings the sword down on top of a monster's head and then sticks the heavy blade in the ground, panting for breath. He can’t wield a sword, he isn’t good with them, so he leaves it there in exchange for the bomb he had before. He lights it, throws it toward the monsters and then dives between the others as it goes off. He snatches his harp up, plays a few notes to throw them at the enemies around them.
   He twists out of their way, rolls to Amaron’s side and stands back up beside him clutching the harp in his grip. “You’re angry. I know.”

Oh look... I haven't hurt Warriors on here yet.
The usual warnings: blood, injury, death
Notes: This is my personal HC for Warriors era and the boy Trevor is Wars adopted son.
When Dametrius and the two heroes landed in Warriors era, they had swords drawn. There was a gathering of several dozen uniformed men in the distance making a circle around someone or something. Chants and cheers could be heard and it was for someone's death.
Ice filled Dametrius's veins when he saw blond hair and a green tunic with a single armored shoulder in the center of the men. This wasn't a training exercise, this was the traitors to the crown ambushing Warriors.
The three of them could see the blood across the Captain's tunic through the gaps between men and they began to charge the men at full speed.
To their right came Shade's wolf form headed in the same direction. To the left was a new animal, a large white Stag, galloping towards the men in everyone's sights. Dametrius felt the air change, looked to his right and caught a glimpse of Twilight shifting into his wolf form.
The god spread his wings so he could get Wild into the air for an archery advantage as he could slow time down in the air. He stayed out of his son's way by going above him and to the other side of the ring of men. His whip grabbed two mens' feet that were close together, pulling them out from under them. He flung them through the air, then brought them back, meeting them with his sword.
The two wolves ripped the traitors apart with their teeth and claws, trying desperately to get to their brother.
The Stag, Hyrule, bugled as it used its massive antlers as weapons, piercing one man then slicing another. He even stood on his back legs to trample a few men with his sharp hooves. His pure white coat of fur he got from the purity of his mother’s waters quickly became red.
One man screamed as a pink rabbit lept into action, latching his harsh teeth to the side of their neck and kicked his back legs to get as much damage as he could in. Who said bunnies don’t bite?
Dametrius bit back a laugh when one man frantically tried to take off his armor and tunic. Two mice had snuck their way into the man’s clothes and were biting him. It wouldn’t kill, but it was enough to let Wild stick an arrow between the soldier's eyes.
The two birds in the sky dive bombed and scratched at the men's faces to repel them away.
Wild used the rain that began to pour to his advantage, gathering it into small orbs and covering the faces of the closest soldiers to him, effectively drowning them. He pulled out his best sword and attacked with a rage that the father hadn’t seen since the war with Damise or even The Calamity.
The war god, two heroes and the spirits doubled down their fight when they heard Warriors holler in pain. There were still too many for the Captain to hold off on his own. The turncoats were stabbing and slashing with no breaks between them.
There were only about ten left when Dametrius called for Wild, "Wild, up!" The son knew what that meant, running as fast as he could to him. The father launched him into the air one last time to snipe the last few he could.
Two left, but it was too late…
"DAD! No, let me see him! Please!!" Trevor was being held back by Artemis and Impa. The late teen had a sword and shield on his back, clearly wanting to protect his father. He slipped from the queen's hold just as the last enemy soldier was slain.
Dametrius was the closest to Wars as the Captain stumbled, sword ran through his abdomen and still lodged in him. Warriors touched the gushing wound in his torso, looked up at the god, then collapsed to one knee. Damertrius was at his side before he fell into the mud. "Wars!"
"H-hey, glad to s-see ya." The Captain had a bit of blond scruff on his face, hair a bit longer and new battle scars. His clothes were torn to nearely shreds, painted red with not only his blood and he was already struggling to keep his eyes open.
"Always a pleasure to see you Cap, but we gotta stop meeting you like this."
"Ha, this isn't known as the War Era for no reason. This is normal." The god rolled his eyes. "Though, if I remember correctly, this isn't the first time we have been in this po-position."
Dametrius remembered the time during the war when Mask put on the mask he was stored in. Wars had nearly died that day and had to be carried off the field. "Again, we need to stop meeting like this." He received a chuckle.
Wild and Twilight were now at the Cap's side, blood smeared across clothing and skin. "You two look like shit."
Twilight half laughed, "Don't rub it in, pretty boy."
Wild kept the light hearted mood too. "I see you don't have your scarf. Lose it?"
"Unfortunately so. Feels wrong to die without it."
"Here." Wild pulled out his slate and a blue scarf appeared. Dawn had found a chest near the castle while exploring and inside was the Hero of Warriors scarf.
"No way…" The corners of Warriors mouth turned up as Wild looped it around the man's neck loosely. "Thanks Champ or more appropriately, your Majesty."
"Shut up Cap." Wild laughed with a sad smile. "There is no need for formalities between brothers."
"Dad!" Trevor slid on his knees in the mud, landing next to his father.
Wars raised a hand to his boy's face, thumbing away a tear that slipped. "Are y-you okay? Did they hurt you?"
"No sir, but we gotta get you back to the castle. You need to get to the infirmary."
"Too late for that."
Trevor shook his head, "No, n-no it isn't! We can get you a potion or a fairy, something."
Dametrius could see Wars heart twist with the expression on his face. "I'm sorry, but nothing is going to work now." He smiled up at his boy. "It's okay. It's all going to be okay."
Trevor's lip quivered, "How, how is everything going to be okay if you aren't here?"
"Because the world still has you in it. It doesn't need me like it needs you." When the all too soon to be young man let out a sob, he pulled him down into his arms, a hand in his hair while the other held onto his tunic. "The greatest honor in this life wasn't being a hero, but calling you my son. You are the greatest thing that ever happened in my life." He kissed the black hair above Trevor's ear.
Heads were bowed in silence to allow the father and son to have their goodbye. The silence was interrupted by War asking for someone to pull the sword from his body. When Trevor went to sit up, a sign of respect and mercy to the one who raised him, Wars held him tighter. "Not you, I don't want you to have that as a memory. J-just stay right here like this, let the last thing I feel be you."
Dametrius was still supporting Wars in his arms, leaving the other two to make the decision. Twilight gripped the sword's hilt and pulled it smoothing from the body it was embedded in.
Warriors tried to hold back his sounds of agony, but they all knew how horrific the pain really was. He tried suppressing his coughing fit as blood filled his mouth, pooling on his throat as it ran down his chin and neck with the ongoing rain. His eyes grew clouded as he took his last struggling breath.
Trevor gave one last trembling squeeze before letting go. He looked so defeated and small. Dametrius was about to give him some sort of encouragement, but the sounds of soldiers, maidens and civilians screaming in the castle and from Castle Town had everyone's attention.
The stone walls of the castle cracked causing massive boulders to fall. A tower split from its foundation, toppling over to crush anyone inside of it and where it landed, but it didn't. As it collided with the mud ground, the materials turned to dust. All around them the structures were being wiped from earth. Even the people were.
"What is happening?" Trevor looked at himself. The others were stunned into silence. Trevor was disappearing before their eyes. This whole era was disappearing from history.
Dametrius was the first to snap out of it when Trevor was no more. "We gotta go, now!" He picked Warriors up into his arms and summoned a portal to the first place he could think of. Home.
The spirits bolted towards the portal and disappeared like a Blurpee would when it sees someone.
The ground gave way under the remaining people, making them fall into darkness. The god summoned another portal to exactly where they were falling and they landed harshly on solid ground.
Warriors was still in the deity's arms, Wild was half on top of Twilight, but all were safe.
"Dear, what is all the-" Freya gasped. "My goodness, Twilight? Is, is that Warriors?"
"Hi ya Mama Fierce." Twi croaked.
Dametrius barely got his eyes open when his wife began to help him and the others sit up. He couldn't think of another place to be in the heat of the moment, but now he was regretting it. "Where is Asti?" His eyes scanned for his daughter, praying she wasn't near.
"She went home earlier this afternoon." The house in Hateno was now Asti's though she still spent a good deal of time in Akkala and at the castle.
"Good." He pushed Warriors soaked bangs from his eyes with a heavy sigh. "I wasn't expecting it to turn out like that."
Wild helped steady Twi, who seemed to have a harder time recovering from the shift. "What did we see happen? Why did everything suddenly get removed from time?"
The god thought for a moment. "That era was created because Hylia wanted to have a new start, but the consequences were clearly not what she thought them to be. She created a world around one person, a Link, a hero. The day the hero dies, the world dies with him." The silence was heavy.
Twilight ran a hand over his exhausted expression. "We need to bury him."
Wild nodded. "We will. He will have a proper funeral at the castle. The one he deserves."
"Hello? Anyone there?" From behind a tree, the teen spirit of Warriors walked out. He couldn't see the living right in front of him, but the spirits of the others weren't far away. They were all in a line and gave a bow to their once Captain.
Hyrule pranced over gracefully and knelt down far enough for Wars to jump onto his back. The boy seemed mesmerized by the animal as he ran his fingers through the white fur.
Shade nipped Wars ankle playfully as they began to walk away, causing him to laugh. Legend bounded up from the wolf's shoulders, into Cap's arms. Four and Shadow sat on his shoulder as the two in the sky soared above.
The living watched the spirits of their brothers enter the afterlife with smiles and laughter.
Twilight stuck around that night to help prep Wars body, much like they all had for Four and took part in the ceremony. The next morning Wild and Flora gave the fallen the burial that a high ranking officer deserved to have, a hero of Hyrule deserved to have.

The Hatfords, unlike the Butcher, weren’t so crude with their kills. They were known for their marksmanship, precision, and efficiency. Even Nathan Wesninski, arrogant and narcissistic as he was, acknowledged it. So even as he trained his son in the art of knives, he allowed his wife to teach the boy her family’s art in bullets that always hit their mark.
The Butcher showed himself in drawn out pain, the targeting of nerve bundles, and knife marks that leave no hesitation. The Hatfords showed themselves in bullets that matched no other ballistics from guns no others can replicate to the heart and head, as well as in specific cases, to the knees, hands, and groin.
Nathaniel, with both Wesninski and Hatford blood running through his veins, naturally excelled. Nathan knew that his son would grow up to be a killing machine and awaited the day that his naive mercy ran dry.
As a descendant of both bloodlines, Nathaniel was encouraged to choose his own specialty way of killing. His mother and father were both wholly of their families, but Nathaniel—Nathaniel was something else. And so, he chose poisons and swords. The two things no one from either family would teach him. He mastered them both. Eventually, he learned to integrate them, his sword custom made to be able to withstand corrosion and leave poison in wounds that would never heal hanging at his hip.
Nathaniel knew every possible way to kill with all types of blades and guns. He could take down even the best swordsman and could create the deadliest poison you couldn’t even detect, taken from the garden of a suburban mother. He could even create and neutralise bombs with materials from a laptop. He was perfect.
It was part of the reason Nathan was so enraged when Mary and Nathaniel ran away. His wife had taken a weapon away—a very valuable one.
Neil knew all of this, he knew what he was. What he learned had made him a perfect killer and he couldn’t ignore it, not when it could save him on the run. His mother knew it, too, and had never seen the need to shield him from the violence of their life. He had been condemned the moment he was born.
Despite no longer being a Wesninski or a Hatford, old habits die hard and Neil Josten had a box hidden in a place where no one would find it with several different types of knives and four guns—all of them Hatford-made, courtesy of his uncle. He also always had one knife and one gun strapped to his left and right ankles respectively. Once he overcame his fear of knives and began accepting his past and the part they played in them, he found he was more comfortable and felt safer when he was armed.
So when the police showed up at PSU for a school shooter (but in actuality was one of Nathan’s men) who targeted the Foxes, they took it upon themselves to teach the Foxes how to defend themselves. The three closest police departments knew of the trouble and violence the Foxes attracted and the captain of this department seemed to be done with it.
When they got to the police department, the officers there, following the orders of their superior, turned their interviews into an impromptu self-defense lesson. They showed everyone basic self-defence maneuvers, how to disarm someone, and how to shoot a gun which was only to be used if they had no choice and was prepared to hurt someone (which all the Foxes were but didn’t say). Neil didn’t pay attention—didn’t feel the need to when everything they were showing was leagues below him.
He knew everyone else on the team had no idea what he was capable of, which was astounding to him as he hadn’t even been trying to hide it—not anymore. It was like they completely forgot who he was raised by. Like they didn’t realise that if he hadn’t been pardoned of all his crimes, he’d be serving several lifetimes in a federal prison.
He was called out by one of the officers when it was noticed he wasn’t listening. “Hey, you! Pay attention, you were lucky this time, you might need these skills someday.”
The team snickered like high school kids when someone was called to the principle’s office. Well, everyone but Renee, who sensed that he was capable of more than he let on, Andrew, who knew of his knives and guns, Kevin, who knew his family, and Wymack, who seemed to just always know. His seemingly built-in bullshit detector was the only reason the Foxes didn’t get into more trouble.
Neil briefly considered his options and found that he was too tired to deal with this, so sighing, he got up and walked right in front of the officer. “Isn’t the best way to learn experience?”
The officer, confused, just nodded.
“Then fight me.” He continued to make eye contact.
“What? No, you’re a kid. I ain’t gonna fight just any kid who challenges me.” The officer tried to laugh it off, looking to his colleagues with furrowed brows and a frown tugging at the side of his mouth.
“Then consider it teaching.” Neil cocked a challenging eyebrow.
The officer looked again to his colleagues, receiving a shrug. “...Alright. If you insist.” He reluctantly got into a loose fighting stance. Right away, Neil could spot several holes in it. He immediately reached out with his left hand and grabbed the officer’s right forearm, grabbing his gun with his right, meeting almost no resistance. He twisted the officer’s right hand behind his back, moving behind him, and pocketed the gun. He kicked the back of the officer’s knees, sending him to the floor. He grabbed the officer’s other hand with his now free one and put both with one hand. He leveraged his arms up in a position he knew was painful and leaning forward, knees digging into the back of the officer’s thighs. He forced the officer facedown with a forearm to the back of his neck.
“Want to tap out?” Neil asked after a few moments worth of the officer’s futile struggling. The officer, flushed red with effort or humiliation, Neil didn’t care enough to examine it, nodded and tapped out with two taps to Neil’s wrist. Neil got up to see the stunned faces of his team. Money was exchanging hands and it seemed that Kevin, Renee, and Andrew were splitting up a large sum. He’d be annoyed if he wasn’t so terribly fond and hadn’t been expecting it.
“When did you learn that?” Nicky asked, wide-eyed. Neil didn’t answer and instead handed the officer his gun back. He then went over to the shooting range, forwent the safety glasses and ear muffles and took out the gun holstered at his ankle. He dismantled it, put it together, loaded it, released the safety, and shot it. Right knee, left knee. Right hand, left hand. Heart. Head. He pointedly paused before shooting one more time. A bullet hole appeared in the silhouette’s groin. All in a matter of seconds.
Silence reigned before an officer had the target brought closer to see what he hit and cursed at the perfectly centered holes. Neil clicked the safety back on before pulling another clip out and re-loading it. He holstered it back at his ankle.
“Can I go?” He asked Wymack who looked a little bit smug. He grunted and Neil took that as all the confirmation he needed.
As he walked away, Andrew following him, he heard Allison ask “Where did he get that gun?”

When Sam accepted this job, he thought it'll be fine. It'll finally be a challenge with his building and engineering. The pay will be so helpful too with wanting to make sure that one of his sons will have enough armor and weapons for a while without needing to go out and search for the supplies.
It would've been a good trade off.
So why is this back firing on him so badly?
-
When the prison was completed, Sam reported to Dream and asked for a higher pay. Dream immediately complies, gives him an extra three stacks of diamond block. Sam didn't question it.
Why would he? This will help him out so much and he wont need to worry about getting supplies for weeks. Months even!
Dream speaks up after the transaction, about how Sam knows who it is and it should be easy to get him in. Sam didn't pay much attention to what he said. He was too blinded by the pay to even ask who is going to be in.
The night was spent with Sam breaking apart the blocks to form into multiple full suits of armor and multiple swords. He even went the extra mile to head over to Punz to place in extra enchantments to make sure his son won't hurt himself as much.
He did all of this to make sure that his son won't get hurt. So why is he currently being ordered to put his son in the cell?
Sam was frozen in the prison. Seeing his son. Seeing Quackity calling out to him. Begging him for an answer on why did he make this prison for him. Why was he working against him this entire time.
Sam's voice was lost. He can't speak. He cant move. He's stuck between both of Dream and Quackity's yelling match, yet Sam can't hear either of them.
He felt his body move on his own the moment he noticed a shine from the corner of his eye coming from Dream.
Sam was standing in front of Quackity with his shield raised up with an axe at his side to push back Quackity. The sound hits him all at once as he hears the netherite axe hit the wooden surface.
"Sam!" He looks past the shield to make eye contact with Dream. His face was hidden, but you can tell behind the smile the rage continues to rise. "You agreed to a job and you need to complete it." His voice was back to his normal tone but you can tell theres a venom being held back.
Quackity raised his voice behind Sam. Please don't continue, Sam doesn't want to go forth with this. "I didn't do shit Dream! You're being a tyrant that you claim to never be! I don't deserve to be locked up by my own damn-" he cut himself off. Please stop, Sam still cares and views him as a son. "locked up by Sam." His tone noticeably gotten lower when he conpleted the sentence.
Sam felt the guilt in his stomach grow as the grip on the shield and axe gotten tighter. He just wanted to help. This was never supposed to happen.
"Quackity! You're a threat!" Dream's voice rose again. Why can't this yelling match just end? "You bombed Eret, who is neutral! And planned an army against Technoblade! What else are you planning to do?! You're a ticking time bomb! I need to put you away to protect the others!"
"Oh yeah?" You can hear a smile from Quackity's end. Why is he smiling in a time like this? "I only went against Eret because he fucking killed Karl! You're upset because I was able to see the king as a puppet! And Techno literally tried to kill us all by spawning withers! Why is he still running around?"
"Because he hasnt done anything to make himself known or done any harm yet! I can't just thr-"
"Shut up! Both of you." Sam finally spoke up. He just wanted it to end, so he'll need to listen. Sam did a final side glare at Dream before turning to back. "Quackity." Sam takes a pause to let out a deep breath he's been holding. "Please walk in the prison."
"I already told you Sam, Im not going in." Quackity stated with the smile off of his face as he refuses to look at Sam in the eyes and keep his contact with Dream, definitely noticing the grip on the axe tighten.
Sam can feel the murder behind Dream's eyes and what might happen if Quackity continues to protest. "Please, I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want to do this" Sam was pratically begging but he still kept his composer.
Quackity's smirk returned. "Yeah, like getting tossed in a inescapable cell by my own 'dad'-" those air quotes managed to do so much internal damage towards Sam. "-isn't hurtful enough. Heh, I thought I was able to trust you, man." The smirk faded away as Quackity started to focus on Sam. "Never would I ever thought that you'll backstab me like this by working with my biggest enemy. To fucking lock me away like that."
Sam took in another deep breath before letting it out. "I'm so sorry." Before Quackity was able to make a comment, Sam grabbed him and dragged him into the prison. It was easy due to the massive height difference. Quackity was trying to break away and make a run for it, but made absolute no progress.
Sam threw Quackity in and locked the doors. Quackity ran to the door and started to bang on it while screaming to be let out. Sam kept his own walls up to not break at the sight of seeing his son. The person he built the prison, to just get a generous pay for he can make the armor and weapons for, curse at him to let him out as he bangs on the walls while being on his knees.
Dream walked behind Sam and placed his hand on Sam's shoulder. "Good work, make sure he doesn't get out and you dont help. You know exactly what will happen." Sam simply nodded as he feels Dream's hand lift from his shoulder and hears him walk out of the prison.
Quackity was already away from the walls as he observed his new home. Sam wanted to look away, but he can't. He is completely unable to look away from the mess he's made. Sam tried to speak up, but felt his throat dry up the moment his mouth opened.
Quackity started to let out a laugh as his hand trailed along the wall. "You really made this inescapable, huh?" Sam didn't respond, just nodded as he took a couple of steps forward. Quackity let out another laugh as he walked towards to where Sam was at.
Sam was confused and cleared his throat before speaking. "Why are you laughing?" His voice was raspy. His throat still felt tight and dry.
"Because I trusted you! And then you backstabbed me by helping my biggest enemy!" Another cackle filled the cell. Sam cringed at the sound, not liking how his son has already broken down in the cell. "You need to help me with something. As a way-"
"Im not breaking you out." Sam's voice was stern as he tries to push down the thought of Quackity getting killed by Dream to the back of his head. "You'll get hurt. Badly."
Quackity shoke his head, "Not that." He stuffed his hands in his pocket and his posture straighted out.
"With what then?"
Quackity raised his hand over his beanie and pushed it back to reveal small horns, already having a small curve forming. "Remember the Frankenstein's monster arc?" Sam was taken a back seeing the horns, he also notices how Quackity basically had sharper nails then before and his eyes containing a really faint yellowish glow in the dark cell. "Want to finish it for me?"
So many thoughts rush into Sam's head. This could mean that all of the crimes that Quackity has been accused of can be forgiven since it isn't him. It was just Schlatt the entire time.
If he brings him back, he'll let go of Quackity.
He can have his son back.
He doesn't need to keep him locked up.
Sam quickly nods his head as a smile forms. "Anything for you."

The Adventures of Shota Jaune, Ep II
Chapter Two
---------
Two Months have passed.
---------
The last couple of months had been absolutely wild for Vernal.
First, the woman she respected the most and thought was the strongest in the world was beaten by three children... and Vernal, after it turned out Raven was a complete psycho bitch. In a moment of sheer panic she had just swore allegiance to the strongest thing in the vicinity. The little aura monster that had knocked her old boss's teeth out.
Jaune Arc aka The Boss
It had been a whirlwind of a week, getting her own room with new clothes and an actual bed, people who seemed to care about her, three meals a day and a completely stocked kitchen and someone to follow that wasn’t a complete psycho.
That was the good stuff, that was what kept her going. That and if she wanted to be the world's strongest Huntress it was probably a good idea to train under a actual huntsman, and who was training the human equivalent of a Fire Dust Bomb. While Vernal didn’t consider herself Branwen anymore, the ideals didn’t fade.
‘Nature has only one rule; The Strong owns the Weak.’ Her old mentor’s words came to her again.
Vernal scowled. ‘So much for being the strongest huntress there is.’
Her time at the Arc House had really opened her eyes toward how big the world actually is.
Raven was strong, really strong. She was a former Huntress and Beacon Alumni, she was fast, strong, high aura levels and control, along with a versatile semblance that made long distance travel her bitch. All of that, to top of all that, to just further put herself outside of the realms of warriors and huntress and huntsman she had Maiden Powers, fucking magic.
But, she lost, not just, because there's always either a hard counter, or a bigger fish, that wasn’t the only reason. Despite her power, despite her being the most notorious criminal in Mistral, despite her experience, she lost...
Because... because...’ Vernal thought. ‘She’s a coward.’
Vernal had seen her kill before, huntsman, brave civilian, or Grimm, or even other tribes. But, never from anything other than a position of power, she always waited till there was a moment of weakness to strike, less warrior more assassin, and if things got too tough she’d whip out her Maiden Powers.
More often than not, when more than one hunter came after them, Raven would have them move out. Saying, “They're too weak for us to bother with.” Now, Vernal was sure it was just her cowardice… Like her inability to stick around with her real family.
Why she took Vernal in to begin with.
‘Because, she’s a coward… I’m just a replacement, so she doesn’t have to think about…’
The time with the Arcs had definitely taught her that there was more to strength than fighting ability, and Raven was lacking in conviction, the thing Mr. Arc and The Boss had spades.
The Boss was way stronger than anyone she’d ever met, in terms of Aura and physical strength, yet his sisters, mother, those two lackeys of his, and his own father weren’t the least bit afraid of him.
They had conviction, that they knew their family.
Darkness be damned, those two lackeys could even put up a decent fight with him.
The oldest Arc child, Gris could even match her little brother in raw strength for a little while and even hold him down, even if he got up right afterwards.
Then there was Mr. Arc, if his son was a dust bomb, an all direction and all consuming blast of destruction, then he was a high powered, high precision plasma beam. Not as powerful, sure, but no less dangerous or devastating when used correctly.
Mr. Arc was still teaching his son and his two lackeys… and Vernal even. His skill, aura manipulation, and physical conditioning was insane. Sure, he didn’t have even a tenth of her Boss’s reserves, but he had more than twice Ravens, and he had the skills to manipulate it like it was just another limb of his body.
He could probably beat Raven if he wanted to, and didn’t lack the courage to stand his ground.
Actually, Vernal was entirely sure he could, considering he was fighting her little monster of a Boss right now, and controlling the fight handily.
Mr. Arc practically danced around his son, as the boy tried to land a hit on him, swinging wildly and kicking up small windstorms as he did so. The boy got nowhere close to landing a hit on his father, as the man anticipated blow after blow, stepping out of his son’s range and enduring the shock-waves his son released with practiced ease.
He stepped into his son’s range and stuck his leg out between his son’s moving feet, tripping him, then shield bashing him in the back and sending him flying into the ground. The Boss bounced off the ground, leaving an indent where he hit it, and landed on his back.
The Boss got back up, his face red, and smashed his practice sword into the ground, breaking the ground where it landed, sending boulder sized clumps of earth into the air, Arthur Arc deflected and evaded the earth as it flew at him. Redirecting the earthen shrapnel back at his son with small controlled bursts of Aura Deflection.
The stones and dirt clumps being flung back at the speed of bullets and pelting The Boss, making a show of light when they hit his aura, the light bursting from his aura and creating ripples on top of it.
Mr. Arc was fast too, he moved from one position to the next like he was teleporting, Vernal couldn’t track his movements, his sword striking precisely into The Boss’s chest faster than Vernal could see, Vernal only being able to track his movement based on how The Boss was being knocked backed and where his Aura was flashing, and then with one last lightning quick slash The Boss was knocked onto his back, Arthur stomping his foot onto The Boss’s chest, putting his blade on the boys neck.
“Another victory for me, son,” Arthur said, smirking. “If you had less aura than you did, I could take your head off.”
Jaune pouted, struggling fiercely under his fathers boot, his own strength only barely lifting his father’s foot. Showing off the man’s immense strength as he barely budged, the strength of a real Hunter, and despite how much strength his son had, it didn’t matter if he couldn’t get any leverage to take advantage of it.
“I’ll beat you one day.” The Boss said, red faced and sweating.
“Yes, I’m sure you will.” Mr. Arc smiled. “But, first you got to land a hit on me.”
Vernal wasn’t sure if that was normal father-son conversation, but her definition of normal had long since been warped.
Arthur took his foot off his son and pulled him up. “Good for another spar, son?”
The blonde boy nodded, and then tried to pull his father into a headbutt, but Arthur didn’t budge and then flipped The Boss over his shoulder into the earth.
Vernal would watch late into the evening as the father-son sparred, taking notes mentally on what worked against The Boss for when she’d have to spar with her boss again. He may be her boss, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t give it her all in trying to surpass him, he deserved nothing less than a subordinate who was useful.
The Arcs told her she was priceless, but the only way Vernal knew that she had value was by proving it, and the only way she could was by fighting.
------
Three Months later.
-----
Three Arcs step off of a bullhead, all immediately throwing up their lunches on the ground.
“The family curse, haaah, it strikes again.” Arthur said, being the first one to recover.
“That it does, that it does father.” A platinum blonde who was nearly as tall as her father said putting her hand on her father’s shoulder for support.
The father and daughter watched as Jaune continued to puke his guts out all over the ground, the curse was particularly bad on the youngest, and it truly was a curse, as neither aura manipulation, meditation, or medication helped in the slightest. It was as though the sky’s and heaven’s had a grudge against the Arcs.
Eventually though, they all recovered.
Arthur grabbed both children by the shoulder. “Alright, I trust you two to remember, why, I brought you two with me on a mission.”
The platinum blonde nodded. “You said, I needed more field experience, especially in foreign environments and learning in person was worth more per hour than a day in class could ever teach…. also I forgot father’s day and this is my way of making up for it.”
“That’s right, Gris.” Arthur said with a smug smile.
Gris looked at her only brother. “Why’s he here?” Pointing at the blonde boy next to her.
Arthur smiled nervously. “Because, if neither of us is home to watch him, we won’t have a home when we get back.”
Jaune was fast asleep on his feet, a small stream of drool leaking from his mouth, and loudly snoring.
Arthur pulled his son into his arms, holding him securely and tossing Gris the boy’s luggage.
Gris nodded. “That is a fair point, but why not take his groupies too?”
“Because, I already have enough to worry about with Jaune, who is more than likely going to put someone else in our family by force before we head home, and those two are enough trouble by themselves and I don’t want them picking fights or causing trouble on a mission. Your mom, with her semblance, can handle them no problem, even less so with Vernal.”
“Fair enough, let's get going… What’s it called again?” Gris said with a tilt of the head.
Arthur hummed. “I think it’s called Kuroyuri, apparently rumors of an abnormal grimm have appeared. Something more than the local Hunter can handle.”
===
It had taken a couple hours of walking, through exotic forests and mountainous trails, but the Arc trio managed to make it to Kuroyuri a little after lunch. The Arc boy still sound asleep during the trip, being swapped between his father and elder sister as the situation demand, even when being carried up sheer cliffs,  when they were fording through shallow rivers, or the many fights between the Grimm, Bandits, and Aura Animals on the way to Kuroyuri, nothing of which way enough to prompt his Aura sense that there was enough danger to wake him up.
The Father and Daughter duo were thoroughly famished, and immediately beelined it to the first restaurant they could see, ending up running over to have lunch at a local tea house, Kazehana or something to that effect, The Arc duo were many things, linguist is not one of them.
The Arc’s sudden entrance to the Tea-house was quite sudden, the waitress quite shocked to see two hunters and a sleeping child look at her with a terrifying hungry expression. Needless to say they were quickly seated and served.
 Arthur and Gris finished their meal, several plates of local noodles, boar meat, and some local plants, letting out a satisfied groan of fullness, looking up while stretching and Arthur making eye contact with one Li Ren, the local hunter who requested a seasoned Huntsman investigate the rumors of an abnormal grimm.
There was a moment of eye contact, Arthur’s mind slowly grinding out the details, before realization sets in. His eyes widen and waves the man over with highly animated gestures, pointing down at an empty seat on the floor.
Li Ren stoically processed the actions before calmly making his way over to the table, taking the empty seat. In a matter of moments they were sitting, discussing the details of the contracts, over a cup of steaming tea, while Gris watched and observed, noting important details her father might miss and studying how her father negotiated and asked questions, weaning information out.
“So how long ago was this Grimm sighted?”
“Two or three months ago, It was sighted in the aftermath of a fallen village to the southeast with a horde of Grimm making its way out of the ruins.”
“Hmm, any possible thoughts on it’s species or is it a aberrant?”
“I have talked with those who have observed it from closer, they have described it as being around fifteen meters tall, with a equine bottom half, resembling a fully formed Uma Sama and Elder Imp like grimm’s torso growing from it’s mid back, the sight being quite… disturbing, it seems quite old having many battle scars and weapons stuck inside of it…. I do not know of any species it might belong too, but its too familiar to be a aberrant, Sir Huntsman.”
Arthur frowned, wrinkles creasing his forehead. “This is quite concerning, have you reported this to Haven?”
Li Ren scowled. “We of Kuroyuri, founded it in an attempt to escape Mistrals… less than savory nature, this did not make many friends or allies when we left, any attempts to have contacted Haven have been met with silence.”
“I’ll contact Beacon when I return, this behavior is unethical and unbecoming of a Huntsman institution.” Arthur said, his facing taking on a dark and stormy expression.
The talks between the two men then fade into the background as two children walk into the establishment, an orange hair girl and a black haired boy walk in, only to see their father talking with a blonde headed man, the orange hair girl sighs then spotting a sleeping blonde next to him her father and zips over to him and starts poking his cheek.
Ren sighs and goes to try and stop her from causing trouble, only for the blonde boy to casually wake up and slap her across the room and outside into the street.
The room goes silent in shock, as Jaune rises up yawning, Ren just stands there horrified, Arthur, Gris and Li all looking shocked for different reasons.
‘Did he do it? Did my son just kill a girl by accident?’
‘If he killed that girl, that means we’re probably going to have to waive the fee, and it’ll probably go on Jaune’s record,’
‘Damn-it Nora, how many times do I have to tell you to keep your hands to yourself!?’
Ren though, while horrified, was also quite awed. Nora was the strongest kid in town, he had never even seen her winded outside of training with dad, and she hit him hard enough to break his aura in just two to three hits, and it took him dozens of hits to just bring her down.
This blonde boy just socked her out of the room!
Nora laid on her back, a manic smile on her face. A tingly numb feeling all across her body, with some kind of scratchy feeling beneath the numbness. Awesome. Her aura never felt so low before, outside of Papa Ren fighting her in training. Nora’s aura felt like it was more than half gone!
Nora's smile didn’t fade as she contemplated the sheer strength behind, it didn’t just knock her around, it sent her flying! How far could he make her fly?
“Jaune,” Arthur said to his son. “Please go make sure she’s alive?”
Jaune yawns, and rubs his eyes. “Who? Did I hit someone?”
“Yes.”
He nods “Ok.” Then he walks to the person with a damaged aura signature outside.
Nora looks at the boy in awe, as he looks down at her. He knees down and puts a hand on her cheek where he hit her. “Pain pain, go away.” Then a surge of light overtakes Nora, and her aura is completely restored and then some.
“Who are you!” Nora says, grabbing Jaune by the shoulders and putting her faces really close to his making intense eye contact.
“I’m Jaune.” The boy says pushing her away, her breath smelled like syrup, and it was making him hungry.
“I’m Nora and this is my brother Ren!” She said dragging the boy over to her brother who still was processing the fact that his sister had just got slapped out of a building.
Jaune thought they didn’t look anything alike, but then thought about his new adopted sisters. Realizing that Nora must have adopted Ren, he nodded.
“Oh cool, he’s like my sisters.”
Nora nodded. “Yeahs my brother, but not my brother-brother, but we’re blood-brother and sister, because we cut our hands and shook hands!”
Jaune’s eyes widen, and made note of what to do when he got home. He had to make sure his sister were has much of his sisters as possible.
“You’re really strong! Want to be friends? Wait, wait, I have a better idea, you want to be me and Ren’s new blood brother?”
“Sure!” Jaune didn’t really have any friends outside his family, he looked at Ren. “Can we be friends too? I mean blood-brother?”
Who needs friends when you have family!
Ren looked at his feet nervously, the idea of cutting his hand again didn’t appeal to him, but nodded anyway. Nora hugged them both. “That’s his way of saying, yes!”
The three adults looked at the children in amusement, Li and Arthur sharing a knowing look.
“Feel welcome to stay in my home for the duration of your contract.”
“That would be great.”
Gris couldn’t stop smiling at her little brother and his new friends. “They're so cute!” Taking out her scroll and snatching several photos as Jaune and Nora, plus Ren got to know each other.
Only for the adults to scream once Nora brought out the knife and tried to cut their hands.
------
After the knife incident, and Nora finding out she couldn’t open Jaune’s hand no matter how hard she tried, they finally managed to settle down.
An Ren immediately took a shine to her children’s new friend and easily welcomed the Arcs into her home. Despite the fact the two other Arcs and her husband were scarcely in the house as they went out looking for the abnormal Grimm. Taking the time to spoil Jaune and her children, eventually managing to slip them all into matching Yukuta before letting them slip out to play for the afternoon.
Arthur and Li took several days to locate the Grimm, traveling around Kuroyuri looking for tracks and trails to indicate where it was, Gris traveling on the further outskirts acting as a scout.
During that time Jaune had spent all his time playing with Nora and Ren, investigating all over town, now that they’re dads were gone they were going to explore a mountain near the town.
“Be careful in the mountains. Also don’t stray too far into the forest or the lord of the mountain will eat you!” The old man said as Jaune walked into the forest, Nora and Ren followed him.
Ren and Nora followed behind Jaune, grabbing his long kimono sleeves. The kimono was something his eldest sister and Mrs. Ren and the Village girls managed to force on him in his sleep last night.
“What’s the lord of the mountain?” Jaune said, swinging his practice sword in front of him crushing through the brush and tearing up anything in front of him, but also creating a cool breeze behind him that Nora and Ren took advantage of.
Nora laughed. “It’s just a stupid folktale, beside I heard there’s really tasty peaches out in the forest.”
Ren sighed, tugging on Jaune’s sleeves. “Actually it’s a tale about a dangerous animal that lived on the Mountain centuries ago, long ago a there a enormous wild boar that lived on the mountain, the king of a nearby city wanted  to take the mountain, but no matter how many solider he sent none ever came back, so the king himself went, and came back wounded, he declared no man may ever rule over the mountain, as it had its own Lord. The Lord of the Mountain.
An electric look went through Jaune’s eyes, “Awesome, do you think we can find it?”
Ren looked nervous though. ‘This isn’t going to end well…’
A couple hours passed, as the trio totally wandered around the mountain before somehow ending up at the top of the mountain, which instead of peak it hosted a large depression that sunk several dozen feet into the width of the mountains top, home to only wild grass, boulders, some bushes, a large grove of peach trees.
Nora elbows Jaune, smirking. “See I told you there were peaches at the top.”
Jaune snorts. “Yeah, but you haven’t proven that they were tasty yet!”
Nora frowns. “Fine, I’ll race you over there, and I’ll show you how tasty they are!”
“Fine!” Jaune said as he sprinted towards the peach trees, with Nora hot on his trail.
Ren however, felt quite nervous, as something was making his Aura sense crawl. This place was weird to him. He walked around, trying to find the source of the weirdness here.
He wadded through the waist high grass, noting the grass that had some large passage through it that neither Jaune or Nora caused. Nature trails all over the top.
Then he found it as he walked over to the grove.
Skulls and bones, all over the ground, shattered into pieces and fragments, and the roots were all over them. The tree had been eating the bones.
Ren felt his blood turn cold, as he noticed the rusted and shattered weapons all over the top now that he looked closely.
He quickly looked around for Jaune and Nora, seeing them eating peaches from the tree in the center. Despite how happy they were, they had to leave now.
Calmly as he could, somehow managing to make himself feel numb, the world taking on a slightly muted color, he walked over only to feel the ground shake behind him. Dust and dirt falling behind him, and the warm breath of air on his neck, on the high mountain top. His calm disappeared.
“Jaune! Nora! This is the Lord of the Mountain’s lair!”
A scream from behind him, pulled Jaune and Nora out from their fun to see Ren on the ground before a huge boar.
Jaune and Nora stood in awe of it for a moment, before Nora realized the danger and ran to protect Ren, Jaune close behind her.
However, he couldn’t help but be awestruck by the big piggy behind Ren that was absolutely leaking aura, it almost had as much as his dad did!
It was also so cool looking! It’s fur was black and thick and hairy! Like it was made of black iron. With one blood red eye and one milky one with a scar going over it. It had a bunch of scar actually, over its sides and on its neck. Jaune bet it fought a bunch of strong guys and piggies too. And it’s tusks were ginormous! Like instead of growing tusks it grew two clay-mores instead!
Jaune put his hand under his chin. Could he tame it? Only for him to scowl as the foul smell of the boar fell over to him. ‘It needs a bath. Otherwise, mom won’t let me keep him.’
“SQUUUUUEEEELLL!!!” The Lord of the Mountain bellowed at the three children who invaded it’s lair as it stomped the ground and got ready to charge.
Only for it to take notice of Jaune, it’s eyes further narrowed in rage, it was the one who had been stinking up it’s mountain with his aura, now dared come into its home! The Lord of the mountain bellowed out of rage and challenged the boy in front of it, then charged forward intent on brutalizing the boy who dared leaked it’s smelly aura all over his mountain. The one who dared to wake him with his offensive smell. It’s beady eye then saw the discarded peach pits on the ground.
It snorted in pure wrath, they dared to eat it’s sacred peach! The one’s that granted The Lord his longevity?! He would grind their bones into dust for his grove and rend their flesh off their muscle and have the rain’s dance with their blood!
The pitch black boar’s singular working eye glowed with a diabolical spirit, as then blood-crimson lightning sparked over it’s black fur, as it galloped it legs forward in blinding speed, going ahead like a black missile, barreling at the seven year old with all the force of a runaway train. Jaune in a split second decision grabbed Ren and Nora, tossing them into some nearby bushes as he was hit hard enough to be sent flying away, the impact turning making the sky around them shake, the light exploding around them nearly blinding them as Jaune disappeared.
Nora and Lie Ren watch in horror, shivering silently as the boy they just befriended, their new brother flew into the mountainside impacting it with a blood-chilling crunch. The pair’s eyes went wide as they went into shock.
The rock-face shook, and the pig squealed in triumph as Jaune seemed to have been defeated.
“That was mean mister piggy, I don’t like mean people.” Jaune walked out from the dust and shattered rocks falling around him surrounding his impact sight, the rocks bouncing off his aura, and looking no worse for wear, if anything he looked incredibly angry.
His golden aura burned around him causing his clothes to float on etheric currents. The boar snorted at him and bellowed again, unimpressed, in it’s long, long life, it had defeated many opponents, from aura users, to soldiers and bandits, to warriors and huntsmen, and even centuries ago the king of this valley and his army, what was one child to his many fallen foes?
The Lord of the Mountain snorted again, summoning it’s lightning to coat him, and then shot it at the insolent child.
Jaune saw it all though, the sneer in the animals eyes, and the hostility riding it’s aura, and the deathly intent in the creature's semblance. It was all too easy to read it and step aside from where the red lightning hit next to him.
With a flourish Jaune then unsheathes his training sword holding it defensively, ready to fight the old boar.
The Lord of Mountain’s tusks glimmered menacingly in the evening light.
Nora and Ren held their breaths hoping not to give away their positions.
Clank! Klink! Crack!
The boar charged into Jaune, with Jaune blocking the beast with the flat of his sword, being pushed back several feet. The boar lashing out with it hooves that almost knocked Jaune flat before deflecting the blow, it’s tusks swiping at him only to be ducked under, and finally it tried to bite him in half, only for Jaune to hit’s teeth with his sword in a silver flash.
Bzzzzt!
The boar’s fur began to stick up on end as currents of electricity gathered across its body, collecting between its tusks briefly, then exploded in a blast of lightning at Jaune.
Jaune’s eyes went wide as a column wide blast of lightning was shot at him knocking him onto his back spasming, mere feet from Nora and Ren.
The boar saw an opening and charged at him coated in auric lightning power, Nora saw it all in slow-motion, Ren’s heart seized with fear and tried to stop Nora, but she moved faster than she ever moved before grabbed Jaune to pull him out of the way, the boar only grazing him, but still blasting bolts of electricity as it brushed them, a wayward zap hit Nora, knocking her onto her back, Ren quickly running to her side as his sister was laid out on the ground smoke drifting off of her.
The boar gave a evil look at the children as it turn around and charged at them, only for the boar to be punched in the nose before it could run them over. The huge animal reeling back, as it was knocked back, Jaune then rose up, smoke rising off of him, then he jumped up and socked it. Anger in his eyes, as he grabbed the blade of his sword and hit the boar in it’s head with the hilt, sending it rolling across the ground and into the trees, destroying several in the process, Jaune then chasing fast behind it.
As the Lord of the Mountain and Jaune continued to fight, Ren was trying his best to tend to Nora, only he couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her as she kept laughing. “It tickles Ren! It Tickles!” Then jumping up onto her feet, grabbing the largest branch see could find then running at Jaune and the Lord of the Mountain.
The Lord of the Mountain and Jaune had fought from the forest line back into it’s den, leaving a trail of destruction and broken rocks behind them, the boar discharging lightning at him and Jaune summoning orbs of Aura to take the blows instead of him, several bright aura orbs orbiting around him at high speeds.
Lightning collects on the boar again, making the boar too bright to look at, wayward bolt striking everywhere blasting Nora back again, as it disappears behind a veil of electricity, then faster than the children’s eyes could follow, the boar flashes out towards Jaune in a series of brutal hits, only for him to deflect every blow in a shining silver strikes, with is Aura taking the blows he couldn’t deflect.
Then in a matter of moments the fighters became invisible, until an ear-splitting shriek cut the air in two, as a shock-wave cut the air in two, razor sharp winds shearing across the air, cutting all the around in a twenty foot circle in half.
The Lord of the Mountain was breathing heavily, blood-seeping from it’s mouth and nose, mighty as it was, boar weren’t built for this kind of fighting, while Jaune staggered around erratically as electricity stilled flashed over him, his hair standing on end and smoke waffering off of him. Jaune with as much aura as he has, was just as vulnerable to electricity as any aura-user, especially to one such as the Lord of the Mountain, who had honed it’s semblance in many battles, he could heal yes, but the effects on the body were noticeable and quite damaging.
The fighters met eyes with each other, a brief contact, but one that conveyed the tangible amount of respect they had for another.
The Lord of the Mountain scraped the ground with it’s hooves, gathering more of it’s semblance than it had ever before, collecting the red power into its prized tusks, turning them into glowing red and white sabers of energy that zapped with lightning around them.
Jaune held his sword with both hands in low stance, his sword’s tip pointing at the ground behind him, four aura orbs floating around him then one after the other they circled around the blade faster and smaller, till the blade was obscure in white and gold colors.
The two fighters charged, they met, they clashed.
All was still, all was silent, they froze meeting like a still frame image, the small blonde boy wielding an equally small sword meeting a building sized boar in a charge, clashing together, it would look comical if not for the serious look on boys face and the obvious power being thrown around, and the wrecked environment around them.
The clash held for a scarce moment, then the world caught up, as light overtook the senses, followed by an all encompassing boom that echoed across the providence like thunder, that nearly deafened Ren and Nora. Finally was the bone-cracking snap, as the victor was decided.
For a brief moment Jaune and The Lord of the Mountain became visible, the sword biting into the fangs, the rotating sheath of aura diverting the condensed semblance back into lightning bolts around Jaune digging a foot deep furrow for tens of yards behind him. Then,
KA-CRACK!
As the Lord of the Mountain’s tusks were broken in two. The two ivory natural weapons spun in the air and then stabbed into the earth, still crackling with its power, and blood leaking at the base of the shattered ivory.
The Lord of the Mountain thrashed about wildly as it’s mind was overloaded with pain and phantom sensations.
Jaune frowned sadly at it. His dad’s voice then echoed in his head. ‘Never disrespect your opponent with mercy if they come to kill you, give them the warrior’s end. Its the end they deserve.’
Ren and Nora could only watch in awe as Jaune then ran at the Lord of the Mountain, stopping it’s wildly flailing with a running sideswipe at it’s head, knocking it onto its side. Quickly he grabbed a broken tusk holding it firmly, holding the beast still he aligned his blunt sword with it’s eye with a lightning quick motion he plunged his sword, followed by his entire arm, and then part of his shoulder deep into through its eye into it’s head. Completely obliterating it’s brain, and the top of its spine.
In an instant, he broke its aura, cutting’s life away in one ending move.
The beast shutters weakly in pain, once, twice, and then never again.
Jaune frowns as he puts his foot against the head and kicks off, pulling his arm out in a spray of gore, showering the forest floor in red, pink and grey. He then swipes his sword through the air, in an attempt to remove the boar viscera off the blunt sword.
Nora and Ren looked on at Jaune, unable to take their eyes off of him. HIs movements were like nothing they had ever seen, powerful, without mercy, terrifying, and awe-inspiring. They fell to their knees without hesitation, bowing before the great one before them.
“Teach me, oh great one!” Nora said, suddenly latching onto Jaune’s leg. “Show me the way, so that I might break enemies! Those that would be unworthy of you!”
Ren hugged Jaune’s waist. “Show me the ways to manhood, Great Master!” Looked up at him. “Allow this one to have the power to serve you, and protect those I care for.”
With a casual pat to their heads. “Sure, you’re my brother and sister, right?” He said, with a bright smile and face dripping with blood.
Ren and Nora could only hug tighter in excitement, this would be the beginning of a long, long, and deep bond.
--------
It had taken most of a day to get to the creature’s lair, but it was well worth it.
Arthur had Gris play interception, leaving her to fight any Grimm that tried to attack Arthur and Li as they fought the Nuckaleeve as they found it was called.
Gris watched in amazement, as she finished the last of the fodder grimm, cutting a deathstalker in half with her zweihander, as her father and Mr. Li Ren fought the Nuckaleeve.
While Li Ren did not have much power behind strikes, he could shoot dozens of arrows near instantly, laced with some type of dust or another, and could easily dodge the blows that the Nuckaleeve tried to hit him with.
Her father just kept proving why he was the patriarch of the house, as he matched the monster blow for blow, overpowering it and laying it back as Li Ren froze, burned, and electrocuted it’s limb.
Till Arthur finally knocked it to the ground and sawed off the horse like head off the abomination as Li sniped the head off the top of the thing they called a Nuckaleeve.
Arthur stretched as he popped his body. “What a work out, haven’t fought something that strong in years, even if it was a little disappointing.”
“A little much for me,” Li said, taking a seat. “I would prefer it if I never had to see something like this ever again.”
Arthur shrugs. “To each their own,” He then smiles at the man. “How does it feel to longer have that monster hanging over your head?”
Li gave a wide smile. “Like a boulder has been lifted from my shoulders, ah, it feels like I just regained ten years of my life back. My Ren and Nora, will now be able to grow up in relative peace, hopefully.”
Arthur gave him a pat on the back, nearly knocking the man onto his face. “They will grow up in peace, if you ever have any other trouble, do not hesitate to call the Arcs.”
Li’s eyes started to water, but he quickly rubbed them away. “Then, I suppose there is one thing I have concerns about, in your time here in Kuroyuri, have you heard of the Lord of the Mountain?”
--------
Arthur couldn’t be prouder of his son if he tried as he lugged a two story tall boar through the town square whilst that little girl Nora shouted out a story that would probably fit right in with a Mistralwood movie, the boy Ren giving out details to smooth the story along.
“The Lord is dead, the Lord of the Mountain has died!” An old man shouted.
“It was real?”
“I thought for sure, that the old man was full of shit!”
“I’m not that old! I'm forty five, I just smoke a lot!”
“You should really quit, it’s bad for your health.”
“If I wanted your opinion I’d bloody well ask for it! Anyway the Lord of the Mountain is dead!”
Arthur gave his new friend a sly look. “So, about that problem… I don’t think you need to worry about it.”
Li grabbed his head and shook his head from side to side, a tears of happiness running down his face. “I suppose I do not.”
He rubbed his face dry, then grabbed Arthur by shoulder. “Tonight we party! Kuroyuri is safe again, and these are our champions! Tell the mayor we are celebrating tonight!”
Cheers erupted around the plaza.
--------
The party lasted for several days, as the news made its way around the neighboring villages who went to join and congratulate the Arc’s and the Ren Family.
Positivity at an all time high, fun was had, merriment too, but all good things come to an end.
A Bullhead sat on the outskirts of the village, which was being loaded up with gifts, and some of the remains of the Lord of the Mountain.
Nora and Ren clung fiercely to Jaune, tears running freely down the trios face.
“I don’t want you to leave!” Nora dug onto him tightly
“You’re our brother, don't leave us!” Ren buried his head into the blonde boys shoulder.
Jaune was silent, despite his teary eyes, then he flicked them both on the head. “Quiet! You’re my brother and sister, aren't you going to be strong?”
The two shut up filled with shame.
“This isn’t me leaving, this is me going somewhere else, I’m going to be back and stronger than ever, so don’t think I won’t be back! I would never abandon by brother or sister, so don’t insult me by saying I would leave you forever. So, promise me you two will get stronger, so when I come back we can go on more adventures, promise me!” Jaune looked at them firmly, his eyes still red and puffy.
Nora dried her eyes, and Ren blinked away the tears.
“Yeah! I’m going to get stronger than ever, if you don’t come back I’ll break your legs and bring you back!”
“I’m going to be a real man, Jaune! I’ll show you how strong I can be, so you better come back, or we’ll track you down and bring you back with us for good.”
Jaune looked strong for a moment, then broke down in tears again and hugged them tightly. “I’ll miss you guys.”
Gris looked at them through her scroll, recording the whole thing.
“Couldn’t we, you know, take them with us? We already got the other three groupies, what are two more?”
Arthur swatted her head, “I’m a serial adopter, not serial kidnapper. Anyway, I like Li enough, but not enough to steal his kids, so no, I’m not taking his kids.”
Li gave him a narrowed eye glance. “I’d prefer to keep my children,”
An Ren then carefully puts away a kitchen knife. “I’d cut a bitch, if you tried.” An Ren then smiles. “Anyway, the Arcs are always welcome in our home, you three better come back soon with the rest of your family.”
Arthur gulps, but nods. “Yeah, the misses wouldn’t forgive me if I didn’t take her here. So, will come once I get the children settled.”
Gris smiles. “We’ll be back for the junior Mistral Regional Tournament, Dad wants to put Jaune in it. Thinks it’ll be funny.”
Arthur looks off into the distance. “Damn right it will.”
It took some effort, but they separated the children, and loaded up the Bullhead flying home.
------
The three Arc got off the Bullhead onto the Arc Estate, then promptly emptied their stomachs.
The curse striking hard, the one thing the Arc will never defeat.
Airsickness.

What a beautiful wedding! (part 2)
Based on AU by @alwerakoo
Part 1 is HERE
Tommy and Tubbo fell asleep before the wedding was over, just after Sapnap knocked over the table with the leftover cake, but before Quackity was dancing half-naked on the table. Fundy was a little jealous of them. Not only because some things he would prefer never to see himself. They looked so calm, Tubbo curled up in a chair, knees pulled high up to his chin, and Tommy, clinging to him like a little koala in a tree, his limbs hugging him all the way, because he didn't like physical connection at all and he definitely wasn't the clingy one. Eret tried cover them with a cloak so they don't get cold. Tommy woke up just in time to tell him to fuck off, but he could have picked up the idea because he took off his jacket and threw it over his friend's shoulders before hiding his face in his arm again.
Fundy really didn't want to be jealous. He didn't want to look at the two kids with the bitter feeling that that he should be one of them. That he should be sitting next to Wilbur and fighting the sleepiness just to finally fall asleep with his head on his father's shoulder. He didn't want to sit at the table in the center of the room and not swallow anything through his constricted throat. And he certainly didn't want to feel so overwhelmingly alone while being surrounded by friends.
He knew he was doing the right thing, that he was doing it for them, to keep them safe and give them freedom, but he couldn't suppress the bitter thought that they're having a little too much fun. The more alcohol appeared on the tables, the louder the party became, the better moods of the guests were, the more laughter there was, blurring the barriers between friends and enemies. Fundy knew it was what he wanted, it was what he was striving for, but amid all the joy he felt cruelly abandoned. Peace came and everyone tried to forget about the war and its victims. They tried to forget about him.
The sky starts to glow when he slip out of the gate to breathe some fresh air. His throat was dry and the pain in his chest did not cease to increase, but he tried his best to relax a little. His muscles were so tight that he could hardly restrain himself from sitting on the ground and curling up as hard as possible, collapsing into himself so deeply that no one could reach him. Maybe then he would feel a little safer.
He jumped when someone suddenly touched his shoulder, but he quickly breathed a sigh of relief at the familiar face.
"Hey", he muttered softly as Wilbur leaned his back against the wall next to him.
They haven't spoken a word with each other in two days. As soon as Wilbur had finished arguing, when his anger and frustration had drained from him, when he finally stopped screaming - he just fell silent. He did not comment on the preparations for the ceremony, Eret's choice as the master of ceremony, and when asked which suit to choose. When Fundy returns home on the eve of the wedding, smeared with flour and frosting after he and Niki had decorated a cake for several hours, and just rushed into his arms, crying with helplessness and mounting fear, Wilbur stroked his hair silently until the sobs turned into a soft, wheezing breath. But he didn't said a word.
That's why Fundy was genuinely surprised when he suddenly heard:
"Are you sure that's what you want?"
He wanted to laugh, very, very loudly, because no, he didn't want it in the slightest, and he guess everyone knew it, but he just bit his lip. Wilbur had no bad intentions. Sometimes he just had trouble accepting reality and needed someone to do it for him. He needed to hear a confirmation from which he could build the illusion that his son was safe and happy and knew what he was doing. Like when Fundy tried the uniform for the first time, and the sleeves were far too long for him. Wilbur tucked them up, pressed his son's hands tightly for a moment and looking deeply in his eyes he asked: "Are you sure you want this?".
Fundy wanted. He wanted to be a solder, he wanted to fight, he wanted to be like my dad, singing the anthem of their new country, proud and invincible. In hindsight, he know that he really had no choice. Whether he wanted it or not, he was part of the war even before they found shoos in his size. But then he replied "Yes" and Wilbur smiled and called him brave and "his little champion" and he looked as if he was feeling better shifting a part of responsibility to his son.
So Fundy always said "Yes."
Sometimes honestly, like then, in the evening by the fireplace. He could have been six, maybe seven. Wilbur helped him braid the braids before going to sleep. He remembered he didn't like it terribly.
"I want to be a boy," he said, and his father's hands stopped for a moment.
"Is is because I don't let you use the sword? You know it's not because you're a girl, you're just too young to..."
Fundy shook his head.
"It's not about the sword."
The next thing he remembered was excitement and anticipation. He stood on a stool in the bathroom in front of the mirror while Wilbur ran his fingers through his long hair.
"Are you sure you want this?", he made sure.
Fundy wanted to and after a few seconds the first locks of red hair fell to the floor. He smiled broadly at his reflection, completely new and strangely familiar. The boy in the mirror answered the same, and then Wilbur was smiling as well. He playfully ruffled his son's new hairstyle and leaned in to rest his chin on his shoulder.
"Hi Fundy", he said in a soft, warm voice. "Very nice to meet you."
It was a good "Yes", wanted and the anticipated, which left no weight behind, only fill a void.
But there were others, much, much less pleasant.
"Are you sure you want to come with us?"
Tommy and Tubbo stood nect to him, both younger, with ash-dirty faces. Nobody asked if they were ready for it. Nobody gave them a chance to withdraw and stay in a safe house. Fundy couldn't refuse, seeing the guns in their hands and the long sleeves rolled up even more than his own.
"Are you sure you can do it?"
The shield was heavy and Fundy had trouble lifting it at first. Hours later he held it high overhead as arrows fell on them from all sides.
"Are you sure you still want to fight?"
The noise of bombs and Eret's words were still in his ears, and he didn't even hear his own answer. He didn't have to.
"Are you sure that's what you want?" Wilbur asked, and Fundy felt a familiar weight on his shoulders.
"That's what I have to do", he answer, because these words are the closest to "Yes" that passed through his throat.
It's hard to say whether Wilbur had any answer to that. Before Fundy turned to look at him, another figure appeared in the gate, less friendly this time.
"Heeeeeey!" Dream spread his arms, stumbling toward them. He wasn't drunk, but definitely a bit tipsy. "There is my groom! I missed you!"
Fundy grimaced as he pressed his shoulders tighter to his sides, focusing his will on not pulling away. A moment later he was very regretted not obeying his instincts when Dream suddenly bent down, grabbed him tightly by the half, and slung him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. As if he weighs nothing. As if he was his property. Fundy had never felt so humiliated in his life.
He hid his face in hands and shook his head as Dream carried him back into the palace. He hoped Wilbur would understand and wouldn't try to intervene or start a row.
It hurt when my father really said nothing. It hurt like hell and was going to hurt a long time.
There's a limited number of weight that a person can handle before they finally break. Funny, he was sure the moment had come for him.
He wondered how long Wilbur himself would last. Especialy now, when he was left alone.

Tales of Dani - Chapter 2 - The Invasion (Part 2)
Having to abandon one of his blades, Leonardo continues to fight the Foot Bots at a construction site. He sliced, kicked, and stabbed all that stood in his way. As he watched the last one fall, Leonardo failed to notice that one of the bots he took down earlier grabbed his foot and tossed him down. He screams, falling into the icy water below.
A few blocks away, Dani was dodging every obstacle in her way while trying to figure out where Leonardo and the robot ninjas were. How could she lose them so fast? She then heard a scream. It sounded like it was coming from the construction site. She turn around and ran, hoping she wasn’t too late. ‘Hang on, Leonardo. I’m coming.’
Leonardo pulls himself back out and gets up into a fighting stance, panting. Shredder stares down at him, showing no emotion. The three mutants look to him in anticipation “Now you may finish him,” he says.
Tiger Claw, Rahzar, and Fishface jump down to the turtle, attacking him. They landed so many hits on him in his exhausted state. Something in Leonardo then snapped. With a battle cry, he grabs Fishface by his water tube and tosses him to the side. He attacks Rahzar from behind and kicks him. He lets out another cry and faces Tiger Claw, rolling along the ground to kick him low.
Leonardo gets up from the ground, catching his breath. In a flash of lightning, the Shredder was right behind him. Turning a moment too late, the turtle was struck down by his gauntlet.
Tiger Claw picks him up when his T-Phone rang. He pulls it out and looks at the messages from Michelangelo. “Dude, where are you!? Dude, we’re at April’s apartment. HURRY, Chumpy!” “They wait for him in the girl’s home,” he says. “Bait them out and destroy them,” his master orders. The three mutants leave the site, taking the fallen leader with them.
Shredder walks around a corner and sees Splinter looking at one of Leonardo’s katana blades. “Where is my son?” the rat asks. The Shredder laughs. “I’ve taken him like I took your child so many years ago.” Closing his fist in anger, Splinter ran to Shredder, and the two began to fight.
(MEANWHILE)
Water pours into Kirby’s face, making him wake up and see April and Michelangelo looking at him with worried faces. “I just had the worst dream,” he says. “The Kraang were trying to invade.” Michelangelo walks to him. “Don’t worry, Mr. O’Neil,” he says. “Reality is way worse than your nightmare.” Donatello smacks him in the head for freaking him out.
“We gotta move!” Raphael says, running into the apartment with Casey. “Kraang Prime is stomping this way!” “Raph!” Michelangelo hugs his brother, relieved that he is okay. “Aw, I missed you too, little brother,” he says, patting his shell. April runs to hug Casey. “I was scared I’d lost you forever!” she tells him. “No worries, red. Your man is here,” he says with a smile, unaware that Donatello was watching. “Not to break this up, but Leo is still out there!” he reminds everybody. “What!?” Raphael asks. Michelangelo responds, “Long story, bro. Basically-”
But before he could start telling Raphael what happened, Leonardo crashes through the window, sliding to a stop on the floor. “LEO!!”
(Back at the Construction Site)
Dani ran to the construction site, hoping to find the blue masked turtle. There were robot ninjas strode everywhere. She came to a sudden halt when she saw a katana blade that was stabbed through one of the bots. She recognized it. The blade belonged to Leonardo. Looking around in circles, Dani could not find him. ‘What happened here?’ she thought.
Suddenly, she heard more noises, voices that were unfamiliar to her. She took a closer look and saw a man in metal armor fighting a mutant rat. ‘Wait.. Is that... the great Splinter?’ Dani thought, remembering a time when Slash told her that a mutant rat raised the turtles as his sons and taught them ninjutsu. She doesn’t remember him telling her about a man in metal armor though. ‘Who is he?’ she thought.
“You grow tired! Your skills have become weak!” Shredder taunts, punching Splinter. “Yet I am stronger than ever! Fueled by anger, by rage!” He throws another punch, but Splinter blocks it and throws him to the ground. Dani watches from her hiding place, amazed at how the mutant rat fights. “Rage is a fuel that burns quickly,” he says. “Always the wise one,” Shredder responds, growling in anger. He throws three kunai blades at Splinter, which he has able to dodge. But it distracted him from a punch in the chest. Taking advantage, Shredder punched Splinter several times more and threw him against a crane. A load of pipes fell on top of the rat. Dani’s eyes widen. She pulls her blade out, ready to defend the mutant rat.
As Splinter strains to get free, Shredder reaches down and grabs him by his beard, ready to finish him with the blade of his gauntlet. “What wisdom do you have now?” Splinter glares in response. But before Shredder could bring his blade down and Dani could attack him from behind, Leatherhead breaks through a nearby wall and clamps his jaws around him.
Seeing that this was a distraction for the man in metal armor, Dani rushes to Splinter and strains as she tries to lift one of the pipes. Before the rat could ask the hooded girl who she was, she says, “Don’t worry! I’m on your side.”
The mutant alligator slams Shredder into the ground a few times and tosses him away. He turns over to see the hooded girl trying to remove the pipes that were on top of Splinter. He hurries over them. “My friend,” he asked. “Are you hurt?” But they were focused on something behind him. “LOOK OUT!” Dani shouts.
Leatherhead reacts too slow and Shredder attacks from behind. He roared and thrashed, managing to throw him off, only for him to be assaulted by Shredder’s fists. Splinter and Dani could only watch, their eyes widened in horror. Before he could recover, Shredder charges toward Leatherhead and kicks him down the same hole Leonardo fell in, splashing into the water below. “MONSTER!!!” Shredder turned and saw the girl that was wearing a cloak, glare at him.
Dani could feel nothing but anger. She didn’t know this mutant, but he didn’t to be murdered so ruthlessly. Shredder needs to pay. She closes her fist, grabs her sword, and charges toward the man in metal armor. “NO!” Splinter shouted.
She swung her blade at him several times, but Shredder kept dodging every move she made. He raised his other gauntlet, but before he brings it down, Dani grabs Leonardo’s katana and blades met with a clang. Now wielding two swords, Dani’s eyes were filled with rage and determination. She let her anger take control. She flips backwards and and continues to fight him. However, it didn’t last long when she missed again and Shredder punched her, making her tumble to the side.
Groaning in pain, Dani tries to get back up, only to be pinned by Shredder. “I don’t fear you,” she says, glaring at him. “Then you will die braver than most,” he responds, raising his gauntlet, ready to finish her.
Not wanting the same fate to happen to her, Splinter finds new strength, freeing himself from the pipes. Shredder turns to see the rat begin to attack him once more. He pushes him away from Dani. “Splinter!” she shouts, watching the two fall into the hole.
Dani crawls to the edge, staring at the hole in shock. Lasers suddenly fired at her. Shielding her head, she turns to see that the Kraang were coming toward her direction. ‘They must’ve followed me,’ she thought.
Looking back at the hole while trying to block lasers, Dani knew she had to make a choice. Go after Shredder or get herself to safety. “Remember what he told you,” she tells herself, getting up slowly. She grabs a smoke bomb from her pocket. “Splinter is a master ninja. He’ll win this battle... I hope.” She throws her smoke bomb at one of the droids and it goes off. When the smoke finally clears, the droids see that the girl disappeared.

Out Of Comfort
Genre : Adventure, Action, Humour, Hurt/Comfort
Summary : 2 years after the 'you-know-who’, Donnie struggles to adjust with the new way of life. The precarious science blocks are back haunting him, putting him in total stress while he tried his best to keep up with the new team play and co’ord.
Chapter 2 A New Start
Welding felt relaxing, the sound of tiny sparks are like a music to Donnie’s ears. It might not be a real music, but it’s melodious nonetheless. Donnie lifted up his googles, leans back to catch a break. He almost done fixing the hover shell, not the one from yesterday, the one that he kept fixing and fixing away, despite there’s nothing wrong with it.
The one he used last night was a prototype of a new model. It still looks the same as the old ones, but he did made a few upgrades on them. It was definitely frustrating when it got busted. He’s planning to use it more since it felt lighter than the old one. But, now he needs a new shell to wear on a patrol.
He looks at the battleshell charging station. What left there was his worn down Spider-shell. Below it was none other than his wrecked and broken shells that he hadn’t repair, yet. He let out a sad sigh, he looked around him to find that his lab are somewhat cleaner, much cleaner than he remembered. Usually the lab was littered with piles upon piles of inventions, blueprints, scattered metal parts, and energy drinks.
Now, it seems as if it was untouched. The sleek metallic purple walls with LEDs are still looks fresh and new. The floor was free from dust due to the roombas roam freely without bumping into any tech pieces. And the workbench,....empty. Only his old battleshell that he kept tinkering that are currently there. Also, a cup of coffee.
Donnie about to take a sip when he realized it was ran out. He inspect the glass and saw small coffee drips down the mug got frozen in place due to a long time exposed to the AC. How long have he been there without refilling his coffee? Does he been getting the science block again?
Putting down the mug, he rubbed his tired eyes in frustration. Was he being unproductive on purpose? What is he doing here? Why can’t he finish anything?
“Hey.” the voice made him jumped, he looked back to see Leo stood on the doorway. “Whoa, it’s okay. Just a little old me.” Leo held his hands out. Donnie frowned, he turned back to his hover shell.
“What do you want, Leo?”
“It’s training time, Don. Better not coop yourself up in the lab, or I’ll let Raph drag your shell to the Dojo.” Leo ordered as he left towards the Dojo. Donnie sighed heavily, he stood up and followed him. He admit, there’s nothing else he would do, science blocks are the worst and it became a daily routine ever since their Lair was smushed to smithereens. And, the fact that he hate to obey the words Leo told him to.
He wasn’t questioning his leadership skills. If Donnie allowed himself to be honest, the Slider actually knows what he’s doing, good at it in fact. Raph at first had a hard time to adjust, now the former leader putting his trust to Leo, even Mikey approved. Donnie, however, still adapting.
It wasn’t because that he hate to admit it, it just doesn’t sits right putting the leader role to the one who usually pulled some poor one-liners out of spite and keeps bugging your work with some pranks, jokes and poking on things that could cause explosions like it was some kind of a job, because if it is, he good some pretty good records he might get himself some promotions.
And now, the true color of the team seems to emerge. We got the Leader, The Muscle, The Heart and The Brain. Although, The Brain more likely The Brain-Dead one. Stupid science block keeping him from thinking straight, not much idea that pops out other than upgrading, or upgrading the upgrade, or upgrading the upgraded upgrade.
It might be some improvement for anyone, but for the one with the giant science head-cannon looming inside his head, that’s barely even an add-on. He’s unproductivity hurts him, as if the genius inside suddenly just wanted to stop, no more mad scientist mambo-jumbo. He felt it once again, the feeling that he had gone rotten, expired, outdated.....useless.
Seriously, what will he be for the team without his big brain? What can he do other than getting kicked in the booty several times that let your little brother saves your sorry butt?
If once again, he got knocked down and having Mikey, of all people saves him, he’s going to lose his mind.
###
“Alright, my sons. Now, let us begin to--Purple, where’s your battleshell?” they stared at Donnie in his bare-shell. He rolled his eyes, dejected.
“I’ll be fine, Dad. I’m not going to hurt myself.”
“Nono, my son. I believe you, it’s just....weird seeing you without one.” Splinter simply said, trying not to offend his purple son.
“Well, it’s in repair, and my shoulders are getting tired. So....” Donnie didn’t have to finish his sentence to earned a nod from his father.
“Verywell, then. Let us start,....now!” as on cue, the whole Dojo became dark. The brothers immediately forming back to back formation, weapons at their hands, full caution. “Hamatos carries essence of life, the Ninpo. Or what most common people called them, mystics.”
Raph sense a movement to his right, Splinter came in with a kick. Mikey saw the offense, he blocked the kick, swung his nunchaku to Splinters head. The rat dodged it with ease. Upon landing, Raph coming in clutch with his fist. Splinter jumps back into the darkness. “Some may think that it is the most essential in fighting.”
The turtles back to their formation, listening to every sound to pinpoint the next attack. “Others, prefer something else.” a tail emerge from the darkness. Donnie shielded himself with his bo, the tail wrapped around the wooden weapon. Donnie expected the attempt of pulling, he pulled harder, forcing Splinter to show up. Leo anticipated Donnie’s strategy, he swung his sword at the same time Donnie ducked.
Splinter didn’t expect the timing between the two, but he flawlessly avoided himself from being cut in half. Splinter pulled out a smoke bomb and threw it onto the ground. The smoke caused them to cough, which means distractions. They have no choice but to bail on their formation.
“There will be a time where mystic powers will do no good.” Leo sense presence near him. He ducked down to escape another kick. “So, you must focus on your own ability.” He tail swipe Leo’s katanas, leaving him unarmed.
“Agility.” Splinter increases his speed, offering punches and kicks towards the turtle. Leo dodged every attack, seamlessly evading and parrying every blow. He counter-attacked Splinter’s punch, delivering a fist to his face. Splinter caught his hand and kicked Leo away, disappearing into the dark.
“Strength.” Raph blocked a powerful kick out of Splinter, pushed him back a meter. Another tail swipe, Raph let it wrapped on his hand and threw his dad away.
“Speed.” Splinter took a punch from what seems to be Mikey’s fist. Splinter blocked his next punch, only met with a swipe kick a second after. Mikey swung his nunchakus with unimaginable speed. Splinter steps up his game to blocked a series of attacks that his youngest son often called it ‘Razzmatazz’. He manage to grabbed both nunchakus and threw orange from the fight.
“And, Instinct.” Donnie dodged a powerful kick launches towards him. He swings his bo just in time to meet Splinter’s punch. Once again, he disappeared. Donnie waited, trying to hear the footsteps. Behind you! He turns to blocked another powerful kick, this time it was too much to hold, it sent Donnie flying to a nearby wall. He winced and panted, adjusting his weight to his bo.
The lights turned on, Splinter ran towards him. “I’m fine!” his voice sounded a bit too loud. Splinter flinched, he’s unsure if the pain was bearable, but he knows well how stubborn his purple son can be. He decided to let it go, “You did better, my son. If you did not block that last kick, you might get yourself hurt even more.” He thought that he should apologize, but he didn’t think purple would appreciate that.
“Alright, take a break all of you.” he put both of his hands on his back, cracking it forward. “Ugh, while I tend to my bad back, you may have some spar with each other.” he walked away while rubbing his back.
“Hey, Raphie. Wanna spar with me?” Mikey asked excitedly. Raph smiled, accepting the challenge.
“Sure thing, Mikey.” Raph readied up. Mikey activates his mystic chains and whips the nunchaku to Raph, wrapping his whole body. Raph blinks before he was pulled away.
“AAAAHHH!!!” a lod crash was heard. Leo smirks at the scene. Donnie gathers back his bearings and prepared for the sparring.
“Leo?” the slider slowly turns with his smug face. Donnie’s on his pose, “Care to join?” giving him the serious look. Leo kept his usual expression as he readied himself. Donnie strikes first, jabbing his bo to his head, Leo tilted his head to dodge. Donnie swings, Leo parried them with his katanas. He gave more barraging swings, Leo’s agility gives him the advantage. He dodged, parried him with literal ease.
Leo still using the same face. “What’s wrong, Dee-man? Can’t catch little Leo?” Donnie frowned. He swung, Leo blocked and kicked him in the gut. Donnie yelped, Leo sent another kick to the face. Donnie fell to the floor, shaking his head from the mild headache. Leo knelled down, “Aww, had enough already?”
Donnie growled. He swung to his leg, Leo had expected that. He got up and sent more swing barrage, this time a lot faster and more frantic. Leo parried a lot more on this one, but didn’t change the expression on his face. Donnie downward, Leo blocked it. Eyes meeting eyes. “Come on, Don. Is that all? I can definitely fight you blind-folded.”
Donnie’s patience grew thin. He didn’t have to tell him that. He knows he can, and he might will one day.
Donnie pushed him back, now anger are definitely involved. Leo step up his game some more every time Donnie pulled off some new combos and new speed and variety. Donnie looked at him in the face.
Shut up.
He was parried by another sword.
Shut Up!
He can’t beat him.
Shut Up!!!
He’ll never catch up to them.
Shut UP!!!!
He’s not good enough.
“SHUT UP!!!!!”
Leo flinched. Donnie panting hard, hands gripping tightly to his bo. Eyes fixated at Leo, as if he’s ready to kill. Raph and Mikey stunned by Donnie’s shouting.
Donnie growled for real, this time. The deep reptilian growl filled his throat with his fang showing up menacingly. Donnie engaging his predator side, Leo held out his hand.
“Okay, calm down, Dee. There’s no need to continue this with violence. Okay?”
“GRRRR!!!” Donnie attacks Leo with full intention. Leo no longer wanting to fight, he dodged every move Donnie makes. It was fast and chaotic, more like trying to hurt rather than spar.
“Donnie, STOP!!!”
“GRAAAHH!!!”
Raph blocks Donnie’s bo. “Donnie, knock it off!!!”
“Please calm down!” Mikey plead. Donnie ignored them all, he charged at Raph with blind rage. Raph dodged the jab, throw his fist at Donnie. He didn’t dodge, letting it hit his face. Donnie growled deeply, eyes as sharp as needle. Raph was stunned, he didn’t expect Donnie to accept the hit. He felt guilty for hurting his little brother.
Splinter ran back after being called by Mikey. “Purple!!”
Donnie saw an opening on Raph, he charge in while Raph refused to move. Leo tackled Donnie and pinned him to the ground. He refused to back down and squirmed his way to freedom as Leo gripped his limbs for dear life.
“Donatello!!!”
Leo, Raph and Donnie startled by his father’s voice.
“Enough!” Leo froze for a little while, he let go of Donnie once he felt no resistance. Donnie layed down, panting. He suddenly really exhausted. All that anger took too much energy out of him. He slowly hoist himself up to a sitting position. Splinter approached his purple son. Carefully assessing the damage around the turtle. There’s a bruise on his right cheek, might be caused by his oldest son as when he meets his eyes, he can see the guilt he’s facing.
“Purple? What is up with you?” Donnie refused to talk or making eye contact to his father. Splinter can still feel anger looming around him. Did one of the brothers ticked him off? What provokes him?
“Donatello!”
“I DON’T KNOW, OKAY!!!!” he yelled. Splinter jerked up by the sudden loud voice that felt louder to his rat ears. Donnie noticed that he went too much. “I...I just--” Donnie can’t hold back the tears that began to form in his eyes. He looked down to obscure it.
Splinter was surprised seeing his son cried. The brothers reacts the same way. Devastated seeing their usual emotionless turtle broke into tears.
Splinter held out his hand, “My son,-” Donnie swatted away his hand and ran straight to his lab. Not even the call of his name from his family can get his attention. He closed the iron-forced door of his lab, locking it immediately. Donnie sat under his desk, hugging his legs to his chest as he burst to tears. The lab was eerily quiet, the only sounds that are presence are his and the sound of his family trying to reach for him from the other side of the door.
He felt vulnerable having to broke down like this, he hates it. The way the others desperately trying to get him to open the door made it worse. He wasn’t supposed to show his weakness at the time, he’s a Hamato, a descendant of heart o’ steel. And steel has a lot influence with tech, his thing. He supposed to be able to control his feelings.
Now, his meltdown would definitely stuck in the topic for a while in this whole family situation. He knows he’s having trouble, yes he does. And he knows he needs to keep up with the others. He knows, he’s the smart one.
He tried his best, to keep up, to adjust, to be stronger, for everyone’s sake. But he can’t let his family help him with that, they all helped enough. He can’t let them once again drag their butts to fix his problems for him, no. Fixing is his thing, and he can fix his own problem by himself. Just uh, not now. He needs more time, to figure things out. His family just need to be patience, they can handle the waiting game. They’ve done this before, just like waiting for the drill out of its beta version.
He also, needs to be patience. Everything’s going to be alright, he’ll figure it out. He have to. For everyone’s sake.

The rest of the day passes by, quietly. Donnie had refuse to talk or eat, he sent Shelldon to grab some drinkable sustenance for him. He can handle being hungry, but thirst must be dealt with. As he recalled some research he found out that living beings can survive hunger for at least a week as long as they have enough supplies of water. Although, he can’t say the same about coffee, but not like it’s bothering him.
He waited for Shelldon to come back with a drink, his lab door still close but no longer locked. Once in a while his brothers visited him as he succumb to his depressions in his favorite purple hoodie, concealing his swollen eyes as a result from the earlier’s mental breakdown.
They talked, though they tried not to bring up of what happened in the Dojo. Leo, most of all, had a hard time keeping it cool. The red-eared slider guiltily apologized for making fun of him in training. Donnie might not talk about it, but he willing to forgive him. It wasn’t Leo’s fault that he had problems, he needs to stop playing the Blame Game.
“We love you, Don. And nobody can change that.” Leo said.
“I know.” Donnie simply replied.
His thought was broken by the sound of whirring from the purple drone who he manage to salvage, thankful that Shredder didn’t think twice and explode his core memory.
“Yo, Dee. I got the coffee for you.” the drone informed enthusiastically.
“Thanks, Shelldon.” he quietly accepted the coffee and took the first sip before once again continuing his currently favorite activity, staring an empty desk. Shelldon’s cheery attitude turned into worry as he watched his creator’s constant solitude. Slumping his upper body further back into his gaming chair, holding the coffee mug in both hands.
“Dude. You okay?” he asked for what seems like the tenth times by now. The response stayed the same.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Shelldon wasn’t happy with the answer, but he shrugged it off. He took out his lanky robot arm and grabbed something that sitting on top of him.
“Mikey told me to give you this.” he held out a box of pizza at him. “You should at least eat something, Donnie.” he plead. Donnie stared at the pizza then at Shelldon. The look of worry annoyed him. Great, even a robot is worried about him. But he knows better that Shelldon is not just a robot. He’s a family, part of the Hamato, the drone has feelings and conscious of its own.
Donnie accepted the package, he took a slice and eat it. Shelldon--although not quite visible--beaming away that he had accepted the offer.
“Thank you, Shelldon.”
“You’re welcome, Dee!” Shelldon flew off to the other side of the lab, knowing that he’d done his job. Donnie chuckled quietly as he gone. It’s weird to think that the drone behaving like a kid, which was the intention of installing the emotion-settings in the first place. He can’t remember the last time he acted like one, those days of constant playing, troublemaking and have no care in the world. He said it before; it was messy but gosh, it was fun.
Then, he heard the lair suddenly began crowdy. He didn’t realized that the door was opened, did Shelldon forgot to close the door? How could an AI forget something? Donnie have no mood to stand up or command anything for now, so he let it be. He heard a distant sound of clip-clop from hooves in the lair. The only mutant he knows that is involving hooves is Baron Draxum. What is he doing here? And the sound of chit-chats heard along with it as well, especially some faint female voices and his dad.
They all having a chat out there. How long they’ve been in this states? Why haven’t anyone informed him about visitors? Then again, he’d been cooped up in this lab and desiring for some temporary isolations, of course they haven’t inform him.
Not wanting to bother with anything about it, he continued sipping his coffee and chomped down more pizza into his throat. Not much he can do for now, other than listening the distant inaudible voices. Not even bothering to look up to the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer to the lab.
“Hey, big guy. How’s it going?” April leans her body to the door frame, keeping it cool.
“’m fine.” he answered again, too often now that it sounds more like a chanting spell. April offered a sad smile as she bring herself to sit beside the purple genius.
“Wanna talk about it?” she asked softly. Donnie sipped his mug as a sign that he refused her demands. “I see. Well, we wanted to hang out together as family to the hidden City.” she told.
“Last time we did that we got thrown in jail.” he bluntly respond.
“Well, yes. But things are different now. Now that we stopped that ‘you-know-who’, they pretty much removed the bounties from our heads.” she added, definitely sounding more excited than before. Donnie still can’t trust the sudden change, although he does agree the treatment for doing so after that horrible incident, he didn’t expect anything from the Yokais but pay some respect for sparing them from the devilish evil claws they called Shredder.
“Still, I’m not sure that’s a good idea. Remember that time where we trust that spider lady for taking care of ‘you-know-who’, and look what she did, total havoc, everywhere.”
“Well, at least she did help out with locating the....uuuh....”
“Empyrean.”
“Yeah, that. If it wasn’t for her, we might not be able to save the day and,... You know what I mean.” she reluctantly continued her sentence. Donnie can tell why, he also didn’t want to think of what happen if they can’t find where Shredder had kept their father hostage. Can’t probably sleep knowing if they were too late, Big Mama was indeed offer a huge help even though she’s only can help telling them the location.
Although, the point still stands, she wasn’t a type of person that can be easily trusted. Things happened because of her, and they suffered the most of it. Can’t believe he wished that he should’ve listen to Leo the first time, probably one of the reason why he can be such a good leader.
“Look, I know it’s hard to believe it that way. But I promise, I got some good hunch today. Everything will be fine. You can blame me if anything goes wrong in your way, okay?” And there it is, the classic humble April. The very things he envies the most out of her, dare enough to take the blame and always be there with positive attitude.
And, yes, April always had a strong hunch, it never failed them and they all knew that. If she thinks everything will be fine, then it will indeed.
“So, do you trust me?” she stood up with a big confident smile on her face. It somewhat contagious and made him smile as well.
“Of course, you’re the only human that I trust in this world, April.” he responded, with less tense or sad tone.
“What, you still don’t trust Casey?” as on cue, a loud non-feminine female voice shouting in the background, followed by what sounds like his brothers shouting back at her. Donnie grimaced at the behaviour of that girl. Ever since the former Foot-clan helped out with defeating Shredder, the group immediately warmed up to her. Except for Donnie.
He still respected her for saving his father, however he never had any connection with the girl. Her risk-loving-fight-adoring attitude giving his big bulky brother, Raphael a worthy friendly match. She didn’t even flinched by his loud thundering roar, if by chance she roared right back. And her chaotic energy is enough to keep up with Leo and Mikey.
Donnie didn’t share much with such connections, in which he easily-predicted, the girl hates science. Although, she does find his inventions as cool and awesome, she might thinking about exploding it in place though. Leo would be proud.
Also, she’s terrifying, not as much as April, but she gave him too many goosebumps for the past years.
“In theory, she might be the last person to be trusted when it involves ‘safety’. Please don’t tell her that!” he semi-whispering, not wanting her to charged in and wreck something explosive in his lab.
“Your secret safe with me.” she gestured a zipping motion across her mouth. Donnie chuckles, “Now, come on. Everyone’s waiting. You don’t have to take your hoodie off if you don’t want to.”
Donnie smiled at that, he stood up and let April grabbed his hand leading him to the group. “Thanks, April.”
“Anytime, Dee.” she grinned at him.

Urbosa parried another of Sooga’s swords, and attempted to electrocute him once again with the contact. Unfortunately, the most he did was grimace at the force, as it mostly dissipated by the time it came to his rubber grips. He mentally thanked the work of an old lover, somewhere in a castle greenhouse.
Daruk had trapped Kohga in a bear hug, and was attempting to disorient him by rolling around with his protection, the Yiga Master was trying his very best to stab the Goron's impenetrable hide.
Zelda was holding her bag of Sheikah parts over her head, waiting to inflict blunt force trauma on anyone that came too close. Of course, it wasn’t entirely necessary as Impa’s clones surrounded her every side. Impa herself was dueling it out with Zavis, kodachi on broadsword; gold on dark purple.
“I bet you were just jealous!” Impa sneered, easily parrying another of Zavis’ attacks. “You think that being a Yiga Clan member is gonna give you all the attention, all the praise. Well I won’t let you get the satisfaction! When I’m done, you’ll be lucky to walk again, much less tarish all our family’s hardwork!” She lunged, aiming for the exposed shoulder, but the boy quickly ducked, and attempted to sweep the legs. She jumped back, and he groaned.
“Of course I was jealous! My mom spent more time training you with all your fancy skills than she ever did making me a meal!” He quickly flung a dagger, aiming to disarm. Impa just barely dodged, feeling only the brush of wind as the dagger flew by her.
In the center room, Link and Mipha were doing their best facing off against Arcadius, as Revali attempted to attack the floating Astor from the ground.
“Why don’t you fly up here, Master Revali? I’m sure that armour has been weighing you down all day…” The prophet chuckled to himself.
Revali only grimaced. He prepared another set of bomb arrows, igniting them with the piece of flint that sat on his bow’s rest, and loosed.
Astor sighed, waving a hand, as another mass of malice was summoned forth, consuming the arrows and the muffled explosion.
Mipha just barely caught Arcadius’ sword with her trident, just second before it made contact with Link’s arm.
“Link…” Mipha said, solemnly, but sternly, “We don’t have time. I think...I think we should—”
“NO!” Link yelled, crossing swords with his father again. “We’ll find another way, we have too!”
“I know it’s very difficult to ask...but…” Mipha looked around the room. “If we don’t end the fight before our armour gives out, we’ll all be defeated.”
She flicked her trident, trying to stave into the captain’s defence. “We need to actually—”
“We can’t hurt him, please!”
“Just enough so he can’t fight—”
“He’s not even reacting to pain!”
“I can try to heal him after—”
“But you don’t know that!”
Link shielded another attack and parried, his father’s side was open for the first time the whole battle, but he didn’t take it.
“Link, please!”
The knight shook his head. “I can’t. I-I can’t do it. Everything was for...everything I tried to do was for…” Another hiss through his teeth, as his father swung, cutting the surface of his leg. “Shit...I’m sorry...I don’t think I’m strong enough to do it.”
The Hollow Arcadius flew back as Mipha swept him away, using his momentum to push him towards the opposite wall. There was a crash as he collided with old crates and wooden barrels, but he rose with ease. Walking back towards them.
Link stood his ground, adjusting his sword grip, but made no further movement. Mipha just looked between him and the Hollow, unsure if she had the will to stab him too fatally in front of Link.
Arcadius walked, then faster, then faster, until he was fully sprinting back towards them, malice sword in hand. Mipha steeled herself, expression unreadable as she prepared.
SHING!
Metal on metal. The scrape of swords interlocking. Link blinked just in time to catch a glimpse of Assivus Hartell, sprinting from behind them and catching Arcadius’ sword, mere seconds before colliding on Link’s face.
“Asivus?!” Mipha cried. The man said nothing, as he watched Arcadius slide backwards from the momentum. He looked around, from Mipha, to Link, to Revali.
“Where is Zavis?”
Link just opened and closed his mouth, before shouting, “Look out!”
Arcadius ran forward, swinging for Assivus’ right side.
He immediately moved his sword to parry it, and the Hollow captain was sent sliding back again. Still looking at Link, Assivus asked again. “Where?!”
“H-How did you—”
“I don’t need the greatest sword skills in the world if I can see every attack as it comes.” He pointed to his malice-like eyes. “Why do you think I’m using these bad boys?”
“But how did you get—”
The captain came back again, and Assivus just rolled his eyes. He fully turned to face his brother. “You know Link, I think I lack the same sentiments as you. I’m fully able to make Larc hurt a little.”
“Uncle Siv—!”
The man ran to meet Arcadius’ attack, kicking him in the leg before he had a chance to jab.
Zavis suddenly craned his neck, catching a glimpse of the fight in the center of the room.
“Oh no…”
Assivus perked his head up, then turned to lock eyes with Zavis immediately.
“There you are.”
He charged.
Astor quickly flicked a hand, to which Assivus immediately slid on the floor to dodge the attack, not even bother to look at him.
The prophet suddenly called out. “Zavis. Assivus is coming for you. I recommend you leave quickly, I shall hold him off.”
Zavis could only switch better Astor and the fast approaching Asivus before nodding. Quickly shoving his hands in his pocket, he took out a back of talismans, and teleported into the far hallway.
Assivus gave chasing, ready to head into the dark hallway, but was blocked by two figures.
Hollow Arcadius stood in the way, sword at the ready, and expression—non-existent. Sooga stood by the captain’s side, having temporarily slipped out of Urbosa’s stalemate.
“What do you think you’re doing, Hartell.”
“Well what does it look like? I’m here to get revenge.”
Sooga swiped his swords, sending a beam of red energy towards Assivus’ face. This only made him laugh out loud as he easily stepped to the side before the action was even completed.
“Your son is a real piece of work you know? I had given up so long on caring, on giving a shit. He’s truly something special for bringing it outta me.” Assivus sprinted towards him, to which Arcadius mirrored the action.
As the clatter of swords continued, Sooga shook his head, reading a dagger to throw at his face. “Just who do you think you are, fool?”
Assivus once again easily moved out of the captain’s grasp, even going as far as to cut his shoulder. He looked up at Sooga while rocking on his heels.
“Well haven’t you heard of me before?”
Assivus raised his arms, playfully, twirling his sword in one hand. As if he had all the time in the world. Which of course, he did.
“I’m the goddamn Assivus Asunder.”

Heist time? Heist time!
me?? writing a crossover between Monkie Kid and Kaitou Joker that only a few specific people will probably read?? its more likely than you think.
Word Count: 1.5k
read on ao3
---
"You received a what?" MK asked, staring at Mei in shock.
"A...heist notice?" Mei said, "It's not for anything important really, just some amulet no one in my family really cares about, but we are required to defend it, so I was wondering if you would come along."
"Are you kidding me?" MK asked, jumping up off of his chair in excitement. "You got a heist notice from Kaitou Joker, Mei! He's world renowned! Of course I want to help you defend your treasure from him!"
"...Do you think Red Son will want to come too?"
"Even if he doesn't, he'll probably still come anyways."
---
"I don't understand how you forced me into this." Red Son complained, as the three of them leaned against the wall in Mei's Family's Treasure Room, waiting for the time on the heist notice to arrive. "I mean, it's just one thief. How hard could fending them off be?"
"I'm pretty sure it's harder than it seems." Mei said, "I googled him when we got the notice. The list of things he's managed to steal is about three miles long."
"And the list of things he failed to steal?" MK asked.
"Non-existent. Either he always succeeds, or he covers up his failures really well."
"Well he better hurry up and get on with it." Red Son said, "I don't exactly have all day after all."
"You do know that you don't have to stay in this room right?" Mei asked, "You can go and investigate other parts of the mansion if you're bored."
"Oh thank fuck." Red Son whispered, standing up and walking out of my room. "Shout if he shows up!"
---
Of course, as fate would have it, Joker and his assistant, Hachi, just so happened to jump down through one of the windows on the roof not even ten minutes after Red Son left the room. They landed on the ground in a crouch, proceeding to stand up-
And come face to face with Mei and MK's weapons.
"We aren't going to let you take the treasure, thief." MK said, before excitedly whispering under his breath; "Man, I've always wanted to say that."
"Oh, you think you can stop me?" Joker said, a smirk on his face. "Sounds fun."
And just like that, Joker suddenly slammed a smoke bomb down onto the floor, causing Mei and MK to back up and shield their eyes so that the smoke wouldn't get in them. During the haze, Joker forcibly bumped into MK, making him drop the staff. Joker bent down to pick it up-
Only to find that he couldn't.
"Huh. Weird." He said, trying again, and giving up when it wouldn't budge. "I'll have to get back to figuring out how to steal that later."
"You'll have to what-" MK started, but was cut off by Mei, who rushed pass him, aiming to swing at Joker. He dodged at the last second, maneuvering behind her and hitting her on the back, causing her to stumble.
Joker swiftly and casually took the sword out of Mei's hands, proceeding to jump on top of a nearby statue to be out of her reach for a few moments.
"Oh now this is interesting.~" He said as he observed the sword, "Maybe I should send out a heist notice for this as well-"
Joker suddenly paused, and a tense atmosphere filled the room.
The spirits of the past dragons had surrounded Joker, and they were all glaring at him angrily.
"...You know what?" Joker said, tossing the sword over his shoulder, causing the dragons to vanish, and for Mei to scramble to catch it before it could hit the floor. "I don't need this sword, I've got plenty already. Hachi, are you ready?!"
"Yes sir!"
"Wh-" MK whirled around, to see that, while he had been distracted, focusing on Joker, his assistant had taken the amulet from it's stand. "Hey, give that back!"
He lunged at Hachi, and the ninja gave a little shriek, hurriedly side stepping and tossing the amulet to Joker, who caught it and proceeded to turn to run out of the room, Hachi moving to follow close behind.
"Oh no you don't!" Mei yelled, immediately chasing after them, with MK quickly joining her.
They ran through the hallways, twisting and turning. They almost lost sight of Joker a few times, what with him using his image gum to try and disguise himself as various statues, but MK's true sight always let them spot him rather quickly, and then the chase would be on again.
It was during one of the points when they were running after him that Red Son happened to see them from his position of sitting up in the rafters.
"Oh for the love of- I told them to shout if he showed up." He muttered to himself, before sighing. It seemed like he was going to have to step in.
"You won't get past me!" Red Son said, jumping down into the thief's way, his hands on fire. Joker didn't even blink.
"What are you, some relative of Phoenix? The fire trick is so old school y'know." He said, not even bothering to stop. He vaulted over Red Son, who, faced with the fact that the thief wasn't afraid of his fire, had frozen in place in shock. Hachi quietly ran around him as well, muttering a quiet "Sorry." As he did.
"Wh- Hey! Get back here!" Red Son yelled as soon as the shock wore off, turning and joining Mei and MK in chasing after the thief. Joker just laughed in response.
"A larger audience just makes the chase more fun!" He shouted over his shoulder-
And then suddenly he came to a complete halt, Hachi bumping into him from the unexpectedness of the sudden stop. MK, Mei and Red Son stumbled, barely stopping themselves from also running into him. MK looked over Joker's shoulder to see what had made the phantom thief pause.
There was a cat in the hallway.
MK, confusedly, looked back at the thief, wondering why a cat of all things had made him stop. He got his answers as soon as he got a good look at him.
Joker was genuinely trembling, the bit of his eyes that MK could see under the hat were filled with fear.
From his side, Hachi sighed.
"Seriously, Joker?" He asked, a bit deadpan, but still with some concern in his voice. "I assumed you'd gotten over your fear of cats after so much exposure to Hosshi."
"Well excuse me for not recovering from my childhood trauma." Joker said,  causing Red Son to stifle a laugh.
The cat meowed.
"Shit." Joker hissed, backing up and practically scrambling to climb on top of the nearest person, which happened to be Red Son, who shouted indignantly in response, struggling to pull him off to no avail.
"..While I hate to use a fear against anyone, since I know what it's like first hand." MK started, "Would you. Give us back the amulet if we get rid of the cat?"
"Fine, fine!" Joker yelled, "I'll give you the amulet okay?"
Red Son finally managed to push Joker off, the thief landing with an "oomf" on the ground, and leaving the amulet behind in Red Son's hands. Mei made swift work of picking up the cat and quickly herding it into a nearby room. MK reached down and lightly patted Joker on the shoulder.
"There, was that so hard?" He asked, a bit of smugness in his voice. Hey, he had technically just bested a world renowned phantom thief, he could be a little smug. Joker just sighed.
"Whatever." He said, before quickly jumping up, grabbing his assistant in his arms, and turning to take off down the hallway without another word, laughing once he'd reached a good distance away from them. MK was confused for a moment, before-
The amulet in Red Son's hands suddenly popped, like a balloon, leaving only a card, the Jack of Hearts, behind.
The three of them stared at it for a moment, in silence.
"Oh that fu-"
---
It was rather late when MK finally walked into the Noodle Shop, practically dragging his feet. Pigsy glanced up as he walked in.
"There you are, MK. What took you so long, your shift started two hours ago." He said. MK sighed.
"Sorry Pigsy, I was busy....." MK trailed off as he suddenly noticed the other two people in the restaurant, at the exact same time they noticed him.
MK, Joker, and Hachi stared at each other for a few seconds.
"Welp, that's my cue to go!" Joker said, picking up the bowl he'd been eating out of and carrying it with him as he ran past MK and out of the shop, Hachi quickly throwing some money on the counter before running off behind him. MK didn't even try to stop them. He stood there for a few minutes, registering what just happened, before moving to sit at one of the stools by the counter.
"Long day?" Pigsy asked.
MK put his head down on the counter and screamed.

Chapter 3: Injuries and Nightmares Pt. 1
I have some absolutely amazing friends from my LU Discord! I asked for help for planning out the major fight scene and the heavy angst. Shout to those who helped me plan this out yesterday! WARING HEAVY ANGST AND GORE WARNING!
"Pfffft, that's so cute!" "Shhh! You'll wake them up!"
"Too late," I groaned opening my eyes. Hyrule and Warriors gave me sheepish grins and I just mock glared back at them. Wind was surprisingly still asleep after all the noise they made.
"How am I supposed to get up?" "The aroma of food will wake him up," Wild chuckled when I whined in frustration.
It wasn't long the aroma of bacon and eggs woke up my little friend. Wind sat up rubbing his eyes sleepily, and I was able to get up and stretch. My back popped loudly in protest and shrugged it off yawning.
"Dude. And I thought Wild's back was loud when it pops," Warriors snickered.
"Thanks," I told Wild after I grabbed my food.
"Leave my friend alone, Wars. He just woke up." Wind shot back.
"It's alright Wind," I ruffled his hair causing him to protest.
"Hey! Stop doing that Fierce it's annoying." I laughed and ate my breakfast.
~~~~~~~~~ 3rd Pov
The chain was quick to eat breakfast, even Sky woke up in time to eat. After all, who would miss out on Wild's cooking? The monkeys chattered at the 10 heroes as they began to pack up camp in the early morning sun. Wild's ears twitched forward as he heard something from the jungle brush.
He narrowed his eyes but nothing was there.
"Something wrong, cub?"
"I think it might be a good idea to leave the Faron region," Wild replied staring into the jungle's thick brush.
"Something's stalking us,"
After 10 minutes of friendly banter as they packed up, Wild tapped on Fierce's shoulder.
Fierce's POV
"Since this is your first time in my Hyrule, I'll tell you about Faron. This can be a very dangerous place. I would recommend wearing armor if you got it. But if it starts raining take your armor off. If you don't you might get struck by lightning."
"That's... Annoying."
"Tell me about it. I got struck by lightning when I was wearing armor and almost died. Don't tell Twilight he'll kill me," Wild lowered his voice his ears moving backward toward Twilight.
"What was that cub?"
"Nothing!" I snickered at the panic in his voice.
"You're lying, get back here cub!" Wild bolted towards a tree so Twilight wouldn't catch him and scampered up like a little squirrel.
"Hey, Fierce! Wanna go exploring?" Wind bounced over to me, his eyes shining.
"As long as Time says okay," I grunted as I pulled out my chest plate from my ragged bag.
"Woah! Cool armor!" Hyrule watched as I pulled it over my head.
"Cool but very heavy," I replied adjusting the straps.
"Where did you get the armor?" Warriors rapped his knuckles on the breastplate.
"It was given to me by my father before he passed away," I muttered as I pulled my gauntlets on.
"Sorry, I didn't-"
"Wild! I have you now!" Twilight had Wild by his ankle.
"I would be careful you might-" Wild lost his grip causing them to fall onto the grass with thuds and groans.
"Fall..." Hyrule finished. The whole camp burst into howls of laughter.
3rd POV
The chain began traveling through the brush until they found the road that was on Wild's map. Wind was practically bouncing with all of his pent-up energy. Fierce stuck close to Wind, making sure he didn't wander off. Time had permitted them to explore as long as Wild said it was safe to do so. He agreed to let them explore but not until they got to the stable.
Wild's ears were constantly swiveling, trying to decipher the different sounds as they walked. He wasn't taking any chances. If something happened in his Hyrule he would never forgive himself.
Twilight had updated Time on their situation and was thinking out battle plans just in case. Legend was on edge, watching everyone to make sure that they were okay, not that he'd admit.
Hyrule found himself double-counting his medical supplies and kept biting his bottom lip nervously. Warriors was prepared for the worst, constantly checking for signs of monsters. Wind was worried but didn't show his concern. Four kept close to Sky. Sky was mentally preparing for a possible fight but was silently praying to goddesses that they would make it safely to the stables.
When they got to the stables, Wild showed them a good place to explore. It was a cliff and it was accessible by a sharp slope. The two went to explore but paused midway. Fierce had an uneasy feeling and decided to get his claymore out. The double helix blade. After attaching it to his back the two continued on their exploration.
Fierce's POV
I grunted as I worked my way up the hill regretting the choice to bring my helix blade and armor. Note to self, heavy weapons and armor are never a good idea when exploring. Lesson learned.
"Come on, Fierce! I wanna see the view!" Wind bounced up and down from the top of the steep incline.
"Where did you get this much energy?" I grunted when I finally reached the top
"Candy," He chirped and zipped over to the cliff edge.
"Wild, you are so dead when I get back," I muttered darkly as I walked over to Wind. I sucked in a deep breath as I gazed over the Faron region.
"Woah, Wild's Hyrule is amazing." I breathed taking in the tall jungle trees and the birds flitting to and fro from branch to branch. I could hear the bugs buzzing and the monkeys chattering, and the bird's musical cries. Until it went silent. Dead silent.
I could feel dark magic swelling and dispelling. I spun on my heel drawing the helix blade in one fluid motion.
"What the flip? What're darknuts doing here?!" Wind yelped before drawing his sword and shield. The darknuts towered over me and I'm quite tall. The moblins growled one wielding a dragonbone club and the other wielded a bow...
"Wait a minute... Wind run!" I roared grabbing him and tossed him to the side as the Moblin shot its arrow where he was just two seconds ago. The world went upside down. I was slammed onto the ground and Wind rushed over to me. I shook my head, trying to clear my head from the ringing in my ears. Wind stood in front of me, holding his sword and shield so tight his knuckles turned white. I managed to get on my hands and knees when Wind charged forward. He parried and blocked the Moblin's attacks. Why aren't the darknuts fighting?
Wind was fast but the club was faster. I watched in horror as it slammed into the back of his skull. Time slowed down as he fell onto the ground.
START OF FLASHBACK "Dad please don't die! Please!" I choked on my blood and the sobs that racked my body. He was covered in blood along with his wounds. Blood soaked his hair and tunic as he heaved, struggling to breathe. I could feel his blood on me and my own blood spilling from my own wounds onto him. So much blood. I gagged.
"Link... My son... I'm passing from this world... Stay strong my son... I ... Love... You..." He heaved one last time before passing on from this world.
"Tell mum I'm sorry," I whispered. I pressed my forehead to him before laying his body on the ground. His blood was on my hands. The soldiers' blood was on my hands. Termina's blood was on my hands. I failed. I swiped at my tears causing blood to be smeared all over my face.
"Majora! YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!" I screamed to the heavens.
END OF FLASHBACK
I snapped out of my flashback and I sprung to my feet as adrenaline surged through my bones. I grabbed Wind and ran. I laid him down under a tree and spied my blade. It was inches from the edge. I ran and dodged the Moblin's angry swipes. I snatched up my blade and swung hard. The Moblin's head was separated from its shoulders and black blood splattered onto me. I slowly turned towards the rest of the
I growled savagely as I approached the monsters in a defensive position. The Moblin fired a bomb arrow and I was knocked back. I staggered forward before I used magic to create a sword beam and kill the Moblin. Now the real fight begins.
3rd POV
Fierce clenched his sword tightly as he carefully approached the darknuts, watching every move they made. The fight was a blur of blades. The rest of the chain was running as fast as they could to where the explosion came from. Wild was frantic as he raced ahead.
Legend and Four raced forward with their pegasus boots, charging ahead desperate to save their friends. A Moblin aimed its bow, a bomb arrow knocked and fired at the cliffside, the blast causing it to collapse. Four and Legend dodged the debris as best they could but Four couldn't stop in time, a rock smashing into the side of his head, knocking him out cold. Legend cursed under his breath, taking out his shield to protect them both.
Wild scrambled up the incline dodging arrows and falling debris. He was desperate, he wasn't going to let down another friend. He wasn't! He climbed to the top and froze. Fierce had rips and tears in his tunic and his blood was splattered across the ground. But he was still fighting. He was close to the edge but kept fighting back.
A shadow fell over him and he froze.
"Don't you dare!" Wild snarled furiously. The Moblin sneered and brought down its club on his hand.
"Ow! You little- Yeooooowww!" Wild screeched as he fell before opening up his paraglider and barely missed Legend and Four as he landed.
Fierce began charging up massive amounts of magic, preparing a massive sword beam. Legend and Hyrule's hackles raised as they felt the intensity and power of his magic. The others froze when Legend raised his hand.
"Don't, you might get caught up in his magic!" Legend roared over the distressed cries of the others.
Fierce let out a fierce battle cry as he swung the blade. The darknuts split in half and so did most of the trees as a result of the force of the magic. Fierce stabbed in his sword in the ground exhausted and leaned on it until the other arrived. Hyrule was the first one up this time. His face turned pale when he saw the destruction and wounds of his friends.
"Wind, take care Wind." Fierce rasped out his energy fading fast.
Wild raced up covered in dirt and with his right hand quite swollen. He went bug-eyed at the darknuts and moblins, their black blood staining the ground where they laid. Wild shook his head and raced over to Fierce concerned at the rate his face was turning pale.
"Fierce!" Wild barely caught him before he collapsed and yelped under his weight. Warriors scrambled over and helped Wild before he was crushed.
"I got ya!" Warriors grunted. Everyone else arrived at the top and stared at the wreckage that had occurred.
"Are they alright?" Time asked when he finally found his voice.
"Wind has a concussion, not sure how bad," Hyrule stated while thoroughly examining him. A loud retching cough from Fierce startled everyone. He started puking up blood and Hyrule sprinted over leaving Wind in Sky's hands.
"MOVE!" Hyrule thundered scaring the crap out of everyone. He immediately started using his healing magic trying to save Fierce's life. Time one eye drifted towards the sword that was in the ground. He felt his blood drain from his face. He knew that blade.
The Fierce Deity's Sword.
