PICK A CARD 🥠ೕ the future of this connection
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
reminder that this is a general reading and messages found here may not apply to everyone. take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and don't force anything if it does not fit.
BOOK A READING WITH ME · LINKTREE · SUGGEST A PAC TOPIC · TIPS ♡ tips and feedback are highly appreciated!
GROUP ONE
my dear group one ♡ while this person is deeply attached to you, they are keeping their emotional distance as they wait for you to “realise” that you’re sick of them.
they love you—in fact, they are overflowing with love for you—but they cannot help but think that in order to know you love and care about them in the same way, you have to prove yourself to them.
like mitski sings in why didn’t you stop me?, they want to know that you will keep running after them. chasing after them. making them your priority even when you aren’t theirs. they see this as a test of your love, and do not realise how harmful and hurtful this actually is.
all they can think is how many others claimed to love them and then left, without realising that it is their own emotional unavailability and mind games that causes people to leave. and they will never see it, because it is only in this way that they can victimise themselves.
clarity comes to you in the future of this connection—seeing them for who they are beyond eyes tinted by love, and deciding to meet them where and as they are instead of as the version of them for whom are, and have been waiting.
Tumblr media
GROUP TWO
my dear group two ♡ your connection with this person is only going upward from here on out.
the love between you and them is gentle, beautiful, and mutually appreciative.
with you, your person feels as if they have met the person they have been waiting all their life for. that they have prayed for. so much so that at times they wonder if it is all a dream; all a fantasy that they have been caught up in as reality passes them by.
it is a love that is more than anything they ever thought that they would feel, knowing that they want to marry you, and that they want to build a life and family with you. and while at times they worry that they are idealising you, they rarely are. they love you from a place grounded in reality; they love you at your lowest and your highests, as they know that you will love them at theirs.  the future of this connection is sweet and straightforward. neatly wrapped in a bow of blissful longevity and, for many of you, marriage.
Tumblr media
GROUP THREE
my dear group three ♡ you and this person are in the midst of tentative discovery—finding yourself as individuals and as a union.
while you two may be circling around each other for the time-being—flirting and not yet taking anything too seriously as you get to know each other or work up the courage to be more direct about your feelings—you’re falling more and more in love as each day passes. one of you may have committed to moving in order to be closer to the other. or, as time passes, this is the decision one of you will decide is for the best. even if you’re still playing things by ear, the spirit of adventure has taken over you and this connection. it is such a light energy that’s surrounding this connection. one of fun, experimentation, and, ultimately, new beginnings. before this connection you may have felt that love was out of reach for you. this person showed you differently, and will continue to do so for as long as you allow it.
Tumblr media
GROUP FOUR
my dear group four ♡ thoughts of you consume your person—of how they can best love you and be loved by you, spoil you and be spoiled by you, satisfy you and be satisfied by you.
they want to be yours entirely and have the world know that you’re theirs in turn.  the feeling that love was no longer possible for you is strong here, for both parties. as if you have been followed by heartbreak and romantic relationships in which you felt misunderstood. as if this is your last chance at a genuine connection and if this falls through then there must really be no love out there for you. for this reason, while there is mutual love, affection, and adoration, in this connection, before any progress is possible, you and your person must ask yourselves if you are holding onto this connection for the right reasons. are you committed to this connection out of love or out of desperation?
the connection cannot progress in the best interests of all involved unless you’re both honest about this.

Someone has pointed it out before and it's becoming more prevalent now more than ever. Sukuna is really shaping up to be Megumi's own Mahito. Bro has violated him in so many ways - deformed, corrupted and tainted his body and soul that I'm sitting here reading the weekly updates hoping Megumi will finally wake up and yell 'ENOUGH!'. Like, when Megumi finally breaks free I want him to be as crazed as he was (or even more) when he first deployed his domain.
Tumblr media
You're right anon, there are a lot of parallels between what Sukuna is doing to Megumi currently, and what Mahito did to Yuji throughout his introduction arc and Shibuya. In fact Megumi's journey right now mirrors wat Yuji already went through in Shibuya, possession of his body, using his body to make him complicit in murder by getting the blood on his hands, then killing off his loved ones to weaken his resolve.
Sukuna is to Megumi what Mahito is to Yuji. They are both curses that represent the opposite of what the heroes represent. Yuji lives to save lives, so Mahito violates life. Megumi lives to save his loved ones and Sukuna rejects the idea of ever loving another person.
Mahito and Sukuna both employ the same strategy to break down the sorcerer they are opposed to, there are several parallels between what Megumi is experiencing right now and what Yuji experienced at the hands of Mahito. The first thing Sukuna did was show Megumi he was too weak to save a friend. In chapter 9 Sukuna rips Yuji's heart out and Megumi isn't able to fight Sukuna enough to force him to fix Yuji. Similiarly, Mahito right in front of Yuji's eyes mutates Junpei and there's nothing Yuji can do to turn him back. Any deal he tries to make is rejected by Sukuna and both of them laugh at him. The two panels even parallel each other in Yuji and Megumi standing in the aftermath of witnessing the deaths.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mahito also goes out of his way to make Yuji lose his innocence, by proving as the ultimate test of his ideology to save others. Mahito tells Junpei that all life is equally worthless in the same few chapters that Yuji says he doesn't want life to lose it's value.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuji wants to give people a natural death, a death that comes at the end of one's life like his grandfather's death, and not the brutal way that victims of curses are killed. Mahito's ability violates life itself by twisting humans into inhumane shapes that mindlessly cry out in agony and lash out at whatever's around them until they die.
Mahito himself also forces Yuji to kill innocent people, because the humans he mutates can't be saved they can only be mercy killed. Something which unnerves both Yuji and even a seasoned professional like Nanami, which Mahito says his soul was shaking in response to seeing what he had done to the humans. If Yuji's philosophy is to save people, and let die natural causes after living long lives Mahito kills people without any reason and gives them unnatural deaths. However, he's not satisfied with just killing Yuji he wants to psychologically break him down he wants to become him.
Tumblr media
Mahito acts plotwise as the mirror to Yuji's actions by being his opposite. He's attempting to force self-analysis on Yuji. Yuji doesn't stop to think about killing curses, the same way that Mahito doesn't contemplate killing people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mahito has power over Yuji specifically because Yuji does not analyze himself. Part of the reason Mahito and Sukuna in general are able to run rampant over Megumi and Yuji's entire lives is because they are both people who adapt the cog mindset too well.
They act without thinking, and they act for the sake of other people rather than themselves. It's easy to be manipulated, to be blindsided, to be run roughshod over when you are a cog because cogs don't think. The easiest way to get manipulated by others is to not think for yourself after all.
Mahito is essentially trying to get Yuji's ego to break by making him question every philosophy he fights for. His strategy is to violate that same philosophy in front of Yuji's eyes while he's helpless, again and again. Sukuna even helps him in Shibuya.
Sukuna takes away from Yuji the idea that he can die and save others by taking Sukuna with him, by forcing him to become the sole survivor of a massacre. Even if he's executed and Sukuna vanishes permanently he's not going to reduce the total number of deaths in the world because now thousands of people have died because Yuji let Sukuna out in Shibuya.
Tumblr media
Sukuna's first move to break megumi when he has control of his body is the exact same play, to convince Megumi that he is a murderer by using ten shadows his own technique to destroy Tsumiki's body. Mahito also as mentioned earlier made this play early on to make Yuji feel like a murderer by having to kill the mutated humans that were just innocent people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Megumi and Yuji are made to feel like murderers by Sukuna and Mahito respectively, they're also made to kill the people they wanted to save. Yuji's desire is to save everyone so he's forced to mercy kill innocent people, and Megumi's desire is to save his sister so Sukuna's literal first action is to bury Tsumiki as deep as possible.
He's not just taking away Megumi's sister, but also his reason for living and being a sorcerer. The same way that Mahito is trying to show Yuji that his philosophy of saving people is wrong and worthless, Sukuna shows Megumi that everything he did to protect his sister amounted to nothing in th eend. Megumi and Yuji both value life and Sukuna and Mahito violate and trample all over that life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flowers = purity and innocence, and Mahito and Sukuna both exist to defile those things, trampling and tearing apart those flowers.
The next action Mahito takes is to kill Yuji's mentor right in front of him. Which is what we just witnessed Sukuna did to Gojo, in Megumi's body. Nanami and Gojo even die in the same way, still standing as their torsos are separated from their lower halves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mahito's actions didn't stop with Nanami though, as Yuji when he was about to break from the pressure of Sukuna's massacre in Shibuya received support from Nobara arriving on time to remind him he's not alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only for Mahito to kill Nobara right in front of him a moment later due to a small slip up during the fight. Nobara's unceremonious death and being made to fight alone again breaks Yuji's resolve almost completely until he believes what Mahito has been trying to convince him of, that all of his ideals are wrong, that they're just excuses, that he's completely helpless and can't fight back.
Tumblr media
Now, there's a couple of parallels, the murder of Nobara could both parallel the attempted murder of Hana and Angel someone who gave Megumi and the audience a brief hope spot that she'd be able to exorcise sukuna from him only for that hope to be ripped away in the goriest fashion possible.
Tumblr media
Or it could be Tsumiki's death which was the breaking point for Megumi at which point he stopped fighting back even curling up in the fetal position like Yuji. It could even be Sukuna immediately awakening to punch Yuji through a building. Either way, Sukuna's strategy mirrors Mahito's here, it's to number one isolate Megumi and convince him he's alone, and two by victimizing all of his friends in front of him he shows Megumi he's helpless to stop him and convinces him not to fight back.
Either way Mahito violates the idea Yuji can save anyone even his friends by killing Nobara in a fight that they are both fighting in, right in front of his eyes, convincing him that his philosophy for helping others was an excuse and he never had the strength to save others to begin with.
The same way Sukuna violates love, he makes a joke of pretending to be Megumi again so Hana will embrace him, only to eat her when she drops her guard. He talks about destroying Tsumiki Fushiguro while she's drawn naked on panel and there are flowers representing purity torn up in the background. Megumi's sister is possessed by Yorozu, a woman who is fanatically in love with Sukuna and the two of them make a twisted mockery of the love between siblings in the bodies of the two siblings they're possessing.
Mahito twists the value and sanctity of life to insist that all life is worth nothing, because Yuji his foil is the one who fights to save as many people as possible without thinking about it. Sukuna rejects love and other people in his life because Megumi is only fighting for the sake of the people he loves.
Tumblr media
They even use strategies from the same playbook, forcing their victims to kill, then the killing of a mentor, a friend right in front of them until they've convinced their victims they're helpless and alone.
Mahito insists that he and Yuji are the same. Sukuna's goal too in a way is to become Megumi, by completely dominating his body so he can reincarnate in this era. Mahito wants to kill Yuji, and Sukuna wants to make Megumi experience an ego-death, bury him so deep within his consciousness that he'll never stop fighting back.
Mahito is sucesful in a way because even if Yuji managed to kill Mahito, he became like him. Mahito wanted to covince Yuji that life was meaningless, that he didn't need ideals to strive for and all his ideals were excuses and to get out of a tough situation Yuji decided to just embrace that cog mentality. Mahito convinced Yuji to just keep mindlessly killing curses without looking for a purpose beyond that.
Tumblr media
However, that's not a true victory over Mahito because once again that's what Mahito wanted Yuji to think. Mahito was trying to drag Yuji down to his level and convince him he was no better than a curse. Yuji and Megumi are weak to Mahito and Sukuna's manipulations because they embrace the cog-like mindset and don't try to take control of their own lives.
Tumblr media
Yuji is currently, still mindlessly exorcising curses while Megumi at the moment is also in a mindless cog like state where he is being used by someone else. Neither of them have broken free from being cogs and become fully self-actualized individuals in control of their own actions, especially in Megumi's case because he's being possessed by Satan.
The only way for them both to fight back will be to take control of their own lives, and define who they are, outside of what Mahito and Sukuna insist that they are. Megumi has to take back his own body at this point because it's the climax of a long arc of never really being in control of his own life or allowed to make his own decisions.
Tumblr media
Since Megumi is currently sunk to the deepest part of his shadow, I imagine it will be almost exactly like the first time we see him use his domain. "Bring forth the deepest shadows..."
Tumblr media
A future Megumi who has surpassed his own limits. A Megumi who gets to decide what he wants to be, outside of what Gojo wants, or what Sukuna is using him for.
That requires both for Megumi to assert himself, and for Yuji to help him. I've posted this panel a hundred times but Megumi says "Start by saving me..." to rescue Yuji from despair post Shibuya and get him moving again. However, if you think about it Jujutsu Society would say that Megumi needs to be killed for the greater good, and everyone including Gojo has Megumi's rescue from Sukuna as a second priority.
Yuji's act of saving Megumi would also be him asserting his will and throwing off the cog mentality, because he'd be going against Jujutsu Society and deciding for himself who he wants to save.
Megumi and Yuji have had their philosophies tested and completely deconstructed by Sukuna and Mahito respectively, but this isn't the end, but it's up to the boys to reconstruct them. Remember Mahito and Sukuna aren't really enlightened or wise. They're trying to convince Megumi and Yuji of these things to convince them they're helpless so they'll stop fighting back and be easier to dominate. It's up to Yuji and Megumi. To show them both that they're not helpless as Sukuna and Mahito would want them to believe and they can fight back.

One final Never Have I Ever love triangle thematic analysis
I've said this in one of my posts before, but the narrative is always going to favor what is best for Devi. A lot of what makes this show so juicy to dive into is because so much of its meaning is rooted in symbolism and higher concepts, not just the individual interactions you're looking at onscreen!
I think that's what doesn't work for some (not all) pro-Dxton anti-Ben folks. They see Paxton being respectful and kind to Devi, they see that he's the attractive object of her desire from day 1, and they see that the two of them genuinely do help each other in certain ways. But when these same people look at Benvi, they only see Ben making obnoxious comments to Devi (+ others), they see childish behavior and mistakes being made, and they see them frequently butting heads due to their shared competitive nature.
And honestly? I get it. These conclusions are easy to come to when you're looking at the surface, but they don't take into account the full story that's being told.
Let's get into it. 😎👇
So I mentioned earlier the idea of what is best for Devi. Not what is best for any regular person out there -- what is best for Devi Vishwakumar! Our girl expresses in no uncertain terms that she enjoys her hypercompetitive rivalry-turned-bond with Ben ("Ben's smart and we talk- mostly argue- for hours!" // "I don't want to break up with Ben. He really pushes me.") The fact that they fight and compete is not a detriment to their compatibility, it is actually the thing that makes him most desirable in her mind. She would not have wanted to be with him in the first place if this were not true. Their sharp-tongued communication style may not be the standard picture of a 'healthy' relationship for most people, but, well. Devi and Ben are far from most people.
Devi is an incredibly emotional, dynamic person who's always searching for another high. The competitive nature of her relationship with Ben is enough to satisfy her itch for novelty/excitement (her differences with Paxton don't hit this box), yet Ben's presence also provides a comforting long-term consistency in her life. He's seen the very best and the very worst of her and he always comes back. He frequently brings Devi back to herself, too, when she loses sight of what matters (friendships, family, sense of self, her goals, etc).
Then there's the dream vs. reality dichotomy that very much applies to this love triangle. Simple as it may be, it's accurate. I believe it was built that way on purpose because of how well it reflects Devi's relationships to Mohan and Nalini, which is the beating heart of what NHIE is all about. One (Mo/Pax) is more outwardly palatable than the other and provides an easygoing, self-soothing escapism that she needs in order to work through her grief. This person represents youth and the rose-colored past; Devi's tendency to idealize and indulge. The other person (Nal/Ben) is sharper around the edges, a bit harder to swallow, but pushes Devi to do better and supplies the support she needs. This person represents Devi's grounded reality; her time in the present and the woman she is growing into.
They are both important pieces of Devi's journey, but the themes of past vs. present speak for themselves. The past is something we keep in our heart; in this case, it's someone who has impacted us and we'll always carry with us -- but the ultimate goal is to move forward from that. The central relationship of Never Have I Ever is that of Devi & Nalini as they heal and grow together. In terms of Devi's romantic life (which is what this analysis is about), her relationship with Ben is the one that more closely shadows the series arc between her & Nalini.
I'd like to address some things by the individual season now. One of my observations watching s1 for the first time was that Paxton was usually aligned with bad things in Devi's life, whereas Ben was aligned with the good. ie, Paxton was the root cause of Devi's falling out with Elfab and Nalini // Ben is the one who repaired those relationships. These things aren't Paxton's fault, nor do I place any blame on him. They're just subtle narrative choices that send up unspoken flags saying, hey look, this isn't the right person for her. This theme remained in s1 for the most part, but given that it was NHIE's debut season, it planted several seeds for me about who the boys were for Devi and how they fit into her world.
Season 2 does a lot to sort out the difference in what Devi thinks she wants (Paxton) and what her heart truly wants (Ben). Yes, I'm going there, too: head vs heart. Devi's underlying preference for Ben > Paxton should be easy to spot as early as 2x01 -- if only for the fact that Devi finally bagged the hot guy of her dreams, yet, choosing to be with him isn't easy for her. In fact, as both Devi and Eleanor confirm later, she wanted to choose Ben in the first place. Like... that's crazy when you think about it!!! Despite all the pieces falling into place for her and Paxton, and against her friends' shallow advice, she decides that she won't let go of Ben. Instead, she makes the misguided decision to date both. This isn't the kind of mistake she'll ever make again. It isn't Devi acting out because of Ben -- it signals a profound attachment to him when, all things considered, picking Paxton should have been a no brainer. That revealed everything I needed to know in order to understand that being with Paxton wasn't what she wanted in her heart of hearts.
Then, of course, 3x10 brings that all home with the stomach knots comparison. It tells us that since Devi and Paxton have moved into a place of friendship, with him no longer on a pedestal, those romantic feelings (particularly on her part) have dissipated. As a bonus, Devi even explicitly states that Paxton was a dream! Ben, however -- her flawed reality -- is the one who still gives her butterflies. This is the result of Devi's slow awakening to her true inner self, the Devi who values realness and authenticity and loving through imperfection. It's a step closer to the complete acceptance of herself. (Notice as well that right after this point, it becomes more undeniable than ever that Ben is who she wants to be with.)
As long as Paxton was a romantic possibility for Devi, their relationship was tied to her feelings of insecurity and inferiority. Again this is not Paxton's fault -- he assures her of the opposite all the time -- but this is Devi's story, and we are shown over and over that Devi fears true vulnerability with Paxton (both sexually and emotionally). Compare this to the way she has always felt confident, seen, driven, and unabashedly herself in her relationship with Ben, even when they were enemies. At a glance Devi may appear to act more immature in Ben's orbit, but the truth is that she grows with him more than anyone else (besides Nalini) thanks to Ben's penchant for encouraging accountability and showing her that actions can have consequences.
Anyway, TLDR version:
Paxton = Devi's youth, Mohan, grief, distraction, the past, idealism, and the head (constructed ideas).
Ben = Devi's future, Nalini, healing, confrontation, the present, reality, and the heart (authentic truths).
Never Have I Ever's romantic story structure rests on the premise of these symbolic definitions. They are gospel, and while the characters will grow and change and become better versions of themselves, they will do so within the lines that are already drawn. The lines exist for a reason -- they are a narrative tool! These characters cannot and should not 'grow out' of their roles because those roles are their identities within the show's framework. Character development isn't getting wasted, because the characters are exactly who they are meant to be right through to the end. They are symbols. If that's not your cup of tea then so be it! But there's nothing wrong with this writing style. In fact it's one of my personal favorites because everything is so neatly defined, yet fascinating to read into 🥰
The imperfect Ben had to be Devi's true love because her love interests are, in a way, reflections of herself. By no fault of his own, Devi always felt the need to be "perfect" for Paxton because that's how she viewed him; a false paragon of everything she wanted to be. That is the point of their story together. Her acceptance of the deep love she has for Ben (and Nalini!), despite his sometimes off-putting demeanor, is aligned with Devi's acceptance of her own imperfections -- that she is hot-headed, she can be self-absorbed, she makes mistakes -- but that she is also brilliant and driven and caring and radiant, and she is equally worthy of receiving the love that she has to offer others.
Narratively speaking, it was never truly a competition.

You Make A Mess Of Me
Daenerys Targaryen x Missandei
Summary: An alternate universe where Daenerys Targaryen is Queen of The Seven Kingdoms and Missandei of Naath is her Queen Consort.
Wordcount: 1.4k
Warnings: alpha/beta/omega dynamics, just filth, alpha daenerys, omega missandei, you know how i love my crackships
Note: i really have no explanation for this literally wrote it in 20 mins but they deserved so much better in show canon which is why i have not stopped thinking about them since!
Tumblr media
"My dragon Queen, come back to bed." Missandei practically whines as she begrudgingly watches Daenerys get dressed for the day.
The alpha hums in acknowledgement, but ultimately does not comply, her back still towards Missandei as she fixes her breastplate.
"Later, perhaps." She responded simply, but the omega was not satisfied.
She comes up behind the silver haired woman, with only a sheet covering her frame.
Missandei wraps an arm around the Queen, stilling her movements, as she rests her front against Dany's back.
"You smell of dragon." Missandei quips.
"You flatter me, my love." Daenerys responds, a smirk playing on her lips.
Missandei doesn't respond, instead she tilts her head, tracing open mouthed kisses up the Queen's neck.
Almost instinctively, Daenerys leans back with a contented sigh, allowing the other woman further access.
The curly haired woman lets go of her grip on Dany's hand so she may reach down. With a single bold move, she eagerly palms the alpha's bulge over her slacks.
Daenerys lets out a low groan of approval as her lover continues massaging her cock over its confines; in a few short moments Missandei feels it harden underneath her touch.
"You have gotten very bold these past few moons, my love." The Queen states, and her tone only works to further excite her wife.
Dany finally turns around to look at the omega and Missandei languidly lets go of the sheet that was covering herself, deliberately leaving her naked body exposed.
Upon seeing this, something in the Targaryen snaps, her gaze darkens as she crashes her lips against Missandei's.
The curly haired woman reciprocates with as much despair and need.
Her fingers getting lost in silver locks, tugging and pulling. The kiss is open mouthed and messy, Daenerys greedily inhales every breath her omega exhales. The Queen soon guides the other woman further back onto the bed, prompting her wife to lay her head on the pillow.
Missandei introduces her tongue mid kiss and the Queen takes the opportunity to capture it in between her lips, sucking it on it harshly. She doesn't pull away until her wife is gasping for air.
Dany finally retreats so she may begin taking off her clothes, Missandei watches as she hastily removes her breastplate, along with her doublet and breeches. Finally she takes off her small clothes, and her cock is finally released, Missandei immediately takes notice of its erect state, thick and heavy.
The curly haired woman parts her legs instinctively; licking her lips as she observes Daenerys stroking her length, her steely gaze does not falter, only growing darker by the second.
"What have I told you about touching me without my consent?" The alpha's tone betrays no notion of a jest, but her lover decides to push her luck anyway.
"That I should do it?" Missandei responds cheekily.
Dany's expression merely hardens at her wife's audacity, and Missandei's entire body hums in anticipation.
"I think you deserve a punishment– for disobeying your Queen." Daenerys states, bending down to retrieve something off the floor.
Missandei only recognises what the alpha had in her hand as she climbed onto the bed.
The curly haired woman attempts to capture the Queen's lips with her own but she is distracted as she feels cold metal against her skin, followed by smooth leather wrapping around her wrist.
Dany tugs on the belt and Missandei's arm is lifted up until it reaches the bedpost.
It was then the omega finally let herself acknowledge what was happening; she was being restrained to the bed.
Dany wordlessly does the same to her wife's other arm. Once she was satisfied, she leaned down to kiss her, it's a hefty kiss that leaves Missandei wanting more, but the new restraints prevent her from attempting to chase the alpha's lips.
She whines in clear protest, and Daenerys only smiles.
"I am going to make you regret disobeying me, my sweet omega– so that you will never do it again." The Targaryen says, placing a chaste kiss on the other woman's cheek.
Missandei does not know what her wife intends to do for certain, but she is partially sure that it will do nothing beyond urge her to further act against the Queen's wishes.
Although, she does not admit this, instead the omega bites her lip, suppressing a look of exhilaration.
Dany soon begins licking her way up Missandei's body; her thighs, her navel, her neck.
Her wife finally reaches the familiar spot on her neck; her mating mark, she deliberately bites down, nearly breaking skin, and Missandei lets out a hiss at the sensation.
The pain only causes a thrill of arousal down her body, straight to her core.
Missandei tugs on the restraints again.
"Please– touch me–" The Queen consort pleads, embarrassed at just how needy she sounded.
"I am touching you." Dany casually states as fact, gently swiping her tongue across one of her nipples, and her wife's moan was involuntary.
"Daenerys.." Missandei groans, swiftly earning a harsh pinch on the same nipple.
It makes the omega yelp in pain, but the pleasure she feels immediately after overpowers it.
"Stop teasing me– please– Your Grace." Missandei whines, she was already dripping for her alpha, certain at this point, her arousal has already soaked the mattress underneath.
"You've been very bad, Missandei." Daenerys quips as she continues to nip at her wife's sensitive skin.
"Why should I give you anything you ask for?" She adds, licking her way down the omega's thighs, reveling at the feeling of her wife's goosebumps forming on her tongue.
"Because you love me." Missandei replies simply and the alpha stills.
The look her wife is giving her is unfamiliar, perhaps it was due to her current state of arousal and inability to think of much else, but Missandei cannot decipher it.
Is it fury? Desire?
The omega doesn't get the chance to ponder a moment longer, as her wife settles quickly herself on top of her, Dany holds herself up by her forearms as she lines up the tip of her cock to the other woman's entrance.
With one rash movement of her hips, Daenerys is fully sheathed inside of her wife's cunt.
Missandei half screams and moans at the sensation; it is deep relief, pain and pleasure.
She tugs at the restraints again, a reflexive urge to pull her alpha closer.
"Is this what you wanted?" Dany growls, her thrusts continue to be purposeful and rough, her thick cock stretching the omega's cunt deliciously, hitting every spot within her, leaving her lightheaded and gasping.
"Yes.. yes.." Missandei manages through her moans, she wraps her legs around the alpha's waist, an attempt to hold her as close as she can.
"You drive me mad, did you know that?" Dany grunts, punctuating her words with every thrust.
A compliment or an insult, Missandei could not say for sure, but still, she nods her head vigorously in response, her eyes shut tightly.
Daenerys places her open mouth over the mating mark once again, this time allowing her warm tongue to soothe the earlier bite.
Missandei mewls as she feels a familiar tightening in the pit of her stomach, her release fast approaching; the alpha is not far behind as she deepens her strokes.
With a few deep thrusts the omega finally comes undone around the other woman's cock, her wife following swiftly behind her, releasing thick spurts of her seed deep inside her wife's wanting cunt.
"Seven Hells." Daenerys cursed, breathless and disoriented, as she continued the movement of her hips, riding out her peak.
Her wife remained trembling underneath her, gone totally slack, yet content as she felt the aftershocks of her orgasm.
The Queen finally musters the strength to reach up, releasing her wife's arms from the restraints.
Once freed Missandei's hands immediately move to her wife's back and neck, pulling her in for a deep, lingering kiss.
"I love you." Daenerys whispers against her wife's lips as they parted.
Missandei rubs her nose against the alpha's affectionately before answering.
"I love you too." She says, and the smile that appears on Dany's face is instantaneous.
"Well you have succeeded in making me stay, I am afraid I will not be able to move for the next few candle marks." She adds, not making an effort to pull out of her wife, only laying her head against her shoulder.
Missandei grins at that.
"Good. Stay forever." She replies.

IMAGINE: Getting naughty with Chan, but you're not alone... pt. 4
Tumblr media
IMAGINE Chan has had enough – he is a patient man, but you can’t push him too far, and he feels excluded as he watches Minho positively rail your pussy. He moves behind him, grabbing onto his hips. “I think you need a bit of support here, Minho-ya,” he growls as he clutches his friend with an iron grip, positively controlling his movements as he pushes closer to him, Chan’s chest against Minho’s back. “Let me show you how to fuck Y/N right.”
You watch Minho, who is holding you up by your own hips, still his thrusts and turn his face to his hyung. Their faces are so close together, it’s practically a dare. Minho stares him down, but Chan isn’t backing down, either, their eyes locked in silent combat.
“Go on, then,” the younger man whispers roughly, and the moment is so charged, it’s making your skin tingle. “Show me.”
It doesn’t surprise you when Chan practically lunges forward to kiss Minho, and their kiss, while not gentle, is nothing short of erotic – the way those two struggle for dominance, Minho teasing Chan by playfully biting his lip, Chan crowding against Minho to not let him forget who, when push comes to shove, is the boss. A moan escapes you as you watch your lovers make out while one of them is inside you, and as if your noise has reminded them of your presence, Chan begins pushing Minho into you, effectively guiding the pace at which you’re being fucked, while still kissing him.
His lips wander to Minho’s neck, and the bite he administers doesn’t seem playful anymore, but Minho’s moan gives you goosebumps, and you know your own climax isn’t far off. Chan knows, too, because at that moment, he groans, half in frustration, half in lust, “Come on Minho, I’m so hard, make her come and then let’s spitroast her.”
His words, together with a few well-placed rubs to your clit, are your undoing, and you come on Minho’s cock not half a minute later, still watching Chan mouthing at Minho’s face, the recipient of his administrations closing his eyes in pleasure. Your broken moans tell Chan all he needs to know, and immediately he draws his friend back.
“My turn – take her mouth,” he growls, pushing Minho away. Minho seems to like being manhandled, because for once, he doesn’t run his mouth but simply does as he’s told.
Much more gently, Chan pulls you up. “Hands and knees, baby,” he says while he brushes a stray lock of hair from your face – an oddly gentle gesture in such a sexually charged setting, but this is Chan; always showing his love, even when he’s about to dick you down together with his friend.
You obey and immediately find Minho’s considerable cock in front of your face. For a second, he touches your chin. “Open up,” he coos, and you do so, eager to get started. Your lover moans as he experiences a different sort of wet heat while you taste yourself on his dick. He seems to be catching Chan’s eye. “Do it,” he all but commands. “Fuck her good, hyung. Make her moan around my cock.”
“Don’t tell me what to do,” Chan snarls, but of course he can never withstand a challenge, so he kicks your feet wider apart and does as he’s told nonetheless, starting on a harsh rhythm that makes you gasp and moan around Minho’s cock within seconds. You swirl your tongue around his tip, taking as much as you can into your mouth, and although Minho keeps holding your head, he doesn’t force it, ultimately giving you the power.
Instead, he keeps spewing filth into your ears: “Damn, Y/N, you look so good like this, satisfying two cocks at once – what a good little slut you are, the best. Oh baby, you should see this, it’s so hot, maybe we should make a video next time…”
Chan’s “There will be no next time!” is met with a chuckle.
“Let’s see,” Minho quips.
So, there you are, stuck between two of the hottest men alive, being dicked down from two sides – it’s almost too much to handle. Chan’s thrusts grow more erratic, and you can feel his fingers on your clit, trying to coax a second orgasm out of you as he’s railing you hard. You gasp around Minho’s cock, drawing moans out of him.
“Yeah? Are you going to come on Chan’s cock, Y/Nnie? Are you going to come while we spitroast you? Such a good girl, making us feel so good, such a perfect mouth, such a perfect little pussy –“
Your orgasm washes over you, and you all but whimper as Chan continues with a few hard thrusts before the clenching of your muscles causes him to come as well, his growl mirroring Minho’s as he, too, reaches his high.
Chan has you in his arms in a second, pressing you against himself possessively as if he wants to cuddle Minho’s scent off you immediately. All of you are breathing heavily, lying there, Chan separating you from Minho as the other gets rid of the condom.
The younger man giggles. “Oh, come on, hyung, we all know that Y/Nnie loves only you. And that was pretty hot. So why exclude me from the cuddling party?” He presses a kiss to Chan’s shoulder, and even though you’ve just come twice, your pussy is definitely interested in the sight. Chan grumbles, but lifts a blanket to spread about all three of you.
“Whatever,” he says. “Get some sleep.”
Minho and you smile at each other across Chan. It is entirely possible that that wasn’t the last adventure for the three of you…

Are requests still open and/or any interest in writing Durgetash pegging? 🖤
they are open. but I already filled this particular prompt before… 👀
Equals on AO3
I’ll throw it under the cut for you 😇
Gortash led her to his bedroom, a smug grin on his face.
“Well done with Orin, friend”, he started, looking at the Dark Urge, or Duri as her friends called her, with respect. “We should celebrate.”
“Celebrate?” Her eyes wandered across the room: A bed, a desk, a wardrobe, a side table. Nothing of interest, nothing exciting. Certainly no drinks. “We’ve come to the wrong room, then.”
The Archduke chuckled, a low and confident sound. “You really don’t remember anything, do you?” He let his gaze fall over her body. The slow, vulgar gesture left little to her imagination of what he wanted her to recall.
Scoffing, she turned around, unwilling to entertain his antics, but he caught her by the wrist. “I could be good for you”, he murmured, “Help you remember.”
The way he pulled her body against his was practised and intimate, a motion he seemed to have done a hundred times prior, and something within her stirred in recognition. His arm wrapped around her waist, pressing against her lower back which arched into his touch instinctively, earning her a satisfied chuckle from Gortash. But she didn’t want this. Who did he think he was?
Anger flushed her cheeks red as she pushed him off of her.
“Stop this immediately”, she snarled, but his eyes twitched in anticipation.
“Still a brat”, he mocked her, strolling past her to a side table, opening a drawer wide so they could both see its contents exposed: A small bottle with a thick liquid, plugs, a phallus made of metal, different leather harnesses, a whip, clamps, and more toys Duri couldn’t immediately identify.
Turning towards her, Gortash licked his lips and smirked, holding up the metal phallus in his right hand. “You particularly loved taking that cock up your ass while I buried myself in your cunt. I’d be happy to remind you, dear.”
He actually was serious. A whole city on the brink of war with an increasingly rogue Elder Brain. A series of murders he did nothing to stop. And he wanted to fuck.
Sure.
Spite settled in her chest, making her feel warm and fuzzy. She’d stopped indulging in hate and cruelty, but spite? That she could do.
“You said you wanted us to be equals, did you not?”, she suddenly asked him. Gortash nodded. “Of course.”
Grinning, she took a step towards him and took the dildo from his hand, wrapping her hand around it suggestively, stroking it up and down while the Archduke watched her with piercing eyes.
“In that case”, she brought the phallus to her mouth and licked over the tip while holding eye contact with Gortash, “Why don’t you take this up your ass instead?”
He scoffed, laughed, then fell silent when she held his gaze, unfazed by his reaction.
“I did not think you would enjoy that”, he mumbled after another brief pause, sizing her up.
“Hearing you whimper?” She giggled. “I would enjoy that very much.”
His eyes darkened as he visibly struggled with himself until he eventually took a step back, arms clasped behind his back.
“Fine. Why not? Show me you can be my equal.” His tone was still cocky and smug, his head held high.
Motherfucker–
“No”, her voice cut sharply across the room. “ You show me that you can be my equal. On your knees. Now.”
A silent battle broke out between them, fought solely with their glares, but ultimately, Gortash relented, his mouth twitching upwards as he lowered himself to his knees.
Oh, this would be fun.
She walked over to him, taking leisurely, deliberate steps; the sound of her boots echoed through the room. When she stopped in front of him, she ran her fingers through his ridiculous hair.
“Who ever told you this haircut looks good?”, she asked, almost to herself, and he rolled his eyes in annoyance.
“Really?”
“Your shirt’s not laced up properly either”, she mumbled, now firmly set on putting him in his place. “But you think you can make demands of me?”
He bit his lip. “You… used to enjoy that”, he replied, the faintest hint of insecurity in his tone.
“Did I, now? Enjoy submitting to a rat of a man posing as a ruler?” She watched his eyes twitch angrily as he swallowed slowly.
“Yes.”
Laughing, she pushed his head away. “Cute.”
Kneeling in front of her now, Gortash seemed to be little more than a man begging to be fucked. He could posture all he wanted, Duri saw right through him. Underneath it all, he craved someone to tell him what to do. To lighten the burden. Intrigued, she came to a sudden conclusion: She’d be happy to.
“Go wash up”, was what she ordered him next, and his eyebrows shot up, forming a question.
“I just bathed–“
“Oh so you do have a bath! Great. Now leave. And don’t come back until you’re sparkling clean.” She held his gaze, watching him fight with himself with interest. After a brief moment, he sighed, steadied himself on his legs, and left.
Duri used the time alone to stroll around his bedroom, opening random drawers and inspecting their contents. It wasn’t particularly interesting, besides a stack of correspondence that had her name on it, and a couple of notebooks full of sketches. Eventually she returned to the side table which had the toys, familiarizing herself with her options.
“Found something you like?”, Gortash interrupted her, standing naked in the doorframe, hair wet and slicked back. He was attractive, she had to admit, unsurprised she’d slept with him before her amnesia.
She let her gaze fall over his body, then nodded slowly. “Yes.”
His eyes burned their gaze onto hers in response, and she saw his cock was half-hard already, seemingly having grown from their short interaction. She wetted her lips, then stepped up to him.
“Come here”, she demanded, pointing towards the bed behind her, “And get down on all fours like the dog that you are.”
He rolled his eyes and moved, but when he passed her she reached between his legs, squeezing his balls so hard he yelped.
“No rolling your eyes”, she said strictly, and his breathing grew heavy as she rolled his sensitive parts between her fingers. “Understood?”
“Y-yes”, he cleared his throat, nodding, his eyes piercing hers again.
When she let go of him, his cock had gone fully erect, much to her delight. Seemed the lordling was more into this than he’d let on.
Gortash got down on all fours as she’d asked, and Duri took slow, leisurely steps around the bed, then crawled up on it next to him. She let her hands run over his exposed back, gently first, then more and more forcefully, before she started using her finger nails, scratching his skin in repeated, torturous motions. Sighing softly when a shiver rolled down his spine, she stopped and slapped his ass with her hand, chuckling.
“Are you sure this wasn’t exactly what you wanted?”, she teased him, leaving the bed briefly to grab some of the stuff from the drawer.
“Hardly”, he grunted, tone still annoyed.
“Hardly indeed”, she teased when she returned to the bed, reaching around his waist to stroke the full length of his cock. He was hard and broad in her hand, his tip wet with precum, and Gortash groaned when she started massaging him.
Duri stopped to open the small bottle with what she identified as lube, and when she drizzled it onto his ass, pulling his cheeks apart so it could drip down to his hole, he drew a sharp breath in.
Reaching back around him to stroke his length with one arm, she used her other hand to slowly spread the thick liquid onto his hole; gently kneading the surrounding area with her fingertips. While she hovered her index finger against his entrance, she let her other hand wander backwards to tend to his balls, rolling them in the palm of her hand like before, only more tenderly.
“Has someone ever fucked you like this?”, she asked, wondering how much he could take from her.
“It’s… been a while”, he declared hoarsely, and she wasn’t surprised. He seemed the dominant type, mostly, but that didn’t deter her. Quite the contrary, actually.
She started to work her finger into his entrance, and he gasped while his body adjusted, stretching to accommodate her with plenty of lube. Duri started stroking his cock again, and he let out a moan, so loud that it startled both of them.
“Hmmm”, she hummed with satisfaction, “Taking it well, so far.”
Gortash groaned at the praise, and when she started to add a second finger his hips yanked forwards, then backwards, erratic movements purely driven by need, his muscles clenching tightly around her.
Sliding the fingers in and out again until she could fit them in wholly up to her knuckles, she heard him grunt, then sigh, then moan.
“Good little tyrant”, she whispered, voice sultry and low, and she could see he grabbed the bedsheets with his fists. “Stay just like that.”
Duri pulled out of him, took off her clothes quickly, and used one of the harnesses to attach the metal phallus to herself. It was quite the intricately crafted cock, and as she used her hand to spread lube on it, she realized it was an exact copy of Gortash’s own dick.
“Taking your own cock up your ass”, she sighed, pushing the tip slightly against his entrance. “What a sight.”
He didn’t reply, but when she entered him, he let out the most delicious moan she’d ever heard.
“Fuck”, he grunted, breathing heavy and quickened, “You absolute bitch.”
Adding even more lube, Duri pulled out slowly, just to push back in again, slower and deeper this time. Underneath her, the Archduke groaned, goosebumps rolling down his spine all the way to his thighs. She gave him a slap on his ass.
“Bitch?”, she chuckled, noticing how her clit rubbed against the base of the phallus, sending heat down between her legs in steady motions. “I only see one bitch right now, and he’s on his knees in front of me.”
He cursed her, called her more names, but his body didn’t lie: His hips thrust back into her, greedy and aroused, and Duri felt herself climbing towards a luxurious high.
Picking up the pace, she started fucking him in earnest, pounding into his ass with passion, holding his hips in place with her hands. His moans turned into whimpers as he raced towards his climax, and when he was nothing more than unintelligible sounds, she reached around him to wrap her hand around his cock.
Gortash came with a wail, hips bucking violently. His seed shot onto the bed, some of it dripping onto her fingers, and his arms gave out as soon as she pulled out of him, letting himself fall down to the side.
Lying on his back, he gasped for air, forearm covering his eyes.
“Good job”, Duri complimented him, “You really did fuck yourself.”
At that, he chuckled, lowering his arm so he could look at her. He took her in, her breasts, her waist, her thighs, her arms stemmed to the sides of her hips. Licking his lips, he sighed.
“I’ve missed you–“
“But you aren’t done”, she interrupted him, undoing the harness and throwing it to the side. Raising his eyebrows, he shot her a questioning look.
“Oh?”
Duri crawled up to him, then sat down on his face.
“Get to work”, she commanded, and she’d barely finished the sentence when his mouth was already on her, tongue dipping between her folds, hands finding her thighs.
Fuck. They really must have fucked a lot – else she couldn’t explain how he knew exactly what got her going, what made her squirm, and moan, and mewl; all while she rode his face.
She was panting quickly, the way he laid there, eyes closed, mouth on her cunt, stirring at her core. More and more heat pooled between her legs, and when he dug his nails into her inner thighs, it drove her over the edge. She came, hips bucking into him, and she heard him breathe her in deeply, mouth slowly closing to plant a few last kisses between her sensitive thighs.
When she was done, she climbed off of him with shaky legs, then let herself fall into the covers.
“See”, Gortash started, “I told you I could be good–”
“Shut the fuck up”, she giggled, and his own laughter mixed with hers as they laid there.
“But yes”, she started after a pause, “Maybe we should celebrate more often.”
“As equals?” He chuckled.
Duri turned to face him, grinning. “Potentially.”

Thoughts on the Doom Patrol Finale
"It's okay. I made it home."
I thought the finale was wonderful. It was a perfect send off for the show and I think all the main characters got a good conclusion to their stories, even if I think some had bigger flaws than others. I think the show came full circle and did exactly what it wanted to do. While I would've liked to have seen a fifth season, I'm satisfied with what's here. I would say the theme for the final episode of Doom Patrol revolved around "breaking the cycle" and realizing that the only way things get better is by embracing change and to stop running around in circles. Let go of your worries and just be what you're meant to be.
Vic's ending was simple but sweet. The entire show he's been struggling to find his purpose and how he can help people in a way that isn't joining the Justice League or being a comic book superhero like Batman or Superman. Becoming a teacher with Derrick for the next generation of students pave the way and teach them valuable skills via robotics and prosthetics work (which Vic's Cyborg parts basically are) felt like the best ending for him. He wanted to be a hero and he is, it's just in the more subtle, usually unspoken/unthanked way that teachers can be viewed as "heroes".
Rita's death was sad, but necessary in order to help the rest of the team move on to their final destinies. It's often said that mothers (or grandmothers, in Old!Rita's case) are what keep families together. With her death, the Doom Patrol also died with her. She died beloved and with her family by her side... although she was embarrassed that her family only seemed to think of her by bringing her favorite alcohol... and her body blobbed up and popped like a slime balloon afterwards... But being reunited with Malcolm in the afterlife was a lovely conclusion for her. Being reunited with her lost love in a garden felt like something out of an old movie. Perfect for Miss. Rita Farr. The rest of the team paying tribute to her and watching her movie Secret Rendezvous was a lovely way to remember her. Their Lovely Rita died a star.
Speaking of dying as a star, Larry! Larry went nuclear!! Him flying into the sun during the Bad!Future at the beginning of the season was wild, his future with Rama here at the end was beautiful and it was the ending Larry deserved. He broke the cycle by not having Rama be the same "What If?" that John Bowers had been. He freed himself and was able to truly love without fear or hesitation again. Turning into a bright star in space was perfect for Larry because the entire show he had been introverted and shy and reserved. He made it a point to hide for as long as he could and never let anybody see him. His journey was all about a man embracing the things that make him who he is and to let the world see him in his glory, no matter what they think. Joining with Rama in space and becoming a star (which is how I interpreted their joining to signify) means that for the next couple thousand years, Larry can be seen shining bright in the night sky, whether people like it or not.
Jane becoming Kay again (or simplty, K., as Vic suggested) was the ultimate win. The underground was destroyed and K. found her peace. Her going to space with someone who she could find comfort in and explore with was a lovely ending for her. She wanted to leave Doom Manor and explore the world, now she can. Admittedly, I wish her relationship with Casey Brinke would've had more time devoted to it, but it's not a pairing I mind. As much as I wish she could've found her way back to Shelley Byron, I suppose I treat Shelley as an unreachable fantasy (she is fog, after all) whose role was not so much to be an endgame romantic partner to her, but to be a guiding hand and help Jane/K. begin to become comfortable in her body and sexuality again and ultimately help her reach her ending. Her conclusion had flaws, but her journey was still very very satisfying and I can be happy with her having Casey Brinke, her painting, a ship with a view, and a nice cat (so long as Casey doesn't... you know.) Her ending felt like it answered the ending Grant Morrison gave her after their run of the comics. "There is another world. There is a better world. Well... there must be." The show's answer is, "Yes, there is. She found it."
Tumblr media
Laura's ending was my second least favorite (next to Dorothy, who just flat out fucking disappeared!!!) and I wish she had gotten a little more, but I got to see Michelle Gomez wield a flamethrower and smile bigger than a child on Christmas Day, so I can't be too mad about it. If you believe in fire as a thing that cleanses things and allows people to start over, Laura's ending worked for her character. The place that really and truly broke her is about to be violently burned down. A woman like her needed violence to heal her and I think burning down the Ant Farm was just that.
Cliff's ending was the one that got me the most. "I thought I came home to live, but I think I came home just to die." The gift that Isabel/Immortus gave him was a sweet gift. He gets to see the cycle be broken right before his very eyes. He gets to see Rory's whole life play out and while you fear he's repeating his grandfather's actions, those fears are quickly put to bed when you see that he's perfectly fine and everything works out. He doesn't become RJ Steele, he doesn't fall into the same traps and vices that hurt Cliff Steele, he becomes a different man. Rory Steele is there for Clara Steele and he gets to meet his own grandson as a flawed, but supportive and good man. When Cliff powers down and it hangs on that shot of Cliff's robot face, I broke. The journey is completed. Cliff was in an accident and spent the whole series trying to get home. He did just that. It was the most beautiful way Cliff Steele's story could've ended. I loved every minute of it.
I was happy that the Immortus plot and the Butts plot was wrapped up in about five minutes with no explanation. It didn't need one. This show was never about them. It was a show about a bunch of misfit-assholes-turned-superpowered-weirdos who had to learn to care for one another, helping each other guide through trauma and pain and become better people at the end of it. They did just that. Larry was right: every single threat the team dealt with was created by them in some way. If there's no Doom Patrol, then the world is safe for another day. The only way this all ends is by the Doom Patrol disbanding for good. If you view Doom Manor as one giant therapy/rehabilitation retreat, then all of the members of the manor were stamped and cleared to leave. They left and they all found their own happiness, happiness that would be strange and weird and nonsensical if it was any show other than Doom Patrol. In the end, the cycle was broken and the characters became free to explore the world beyond the manor. No more chaos, no more fear, only peace.
The only cycle that never seems to break is the one where the Doom Patrol dies at the end of almost every iteration of the comics... until some weirdo (Grant Morrison, Rachel Pollack, Gerard Way, etc.) comes along and resurrects them, brings them back to life. I suspect the Doom Patrol will go through that cycle again. They will die, the team will be disbanded and gone for a while, then some weirdo will lovingly make up some way to get them all together again. It doesn't have to make perfect sense, just so long as they're all together again somehow.
There's so much more to say, but I'll leave it with this for now: Doom Patrol has become one of my favorite shows of all time. It's hilariously ridiculous, wonderfully weird, delightfully strange, and the most beautifully human show about superpowered misfits coming together and helping each other find brighter days after experiencing nothing but the darkest ones. They're my new go-to example of what a found family should be and I think the finale was satisfying. I think the show wrapped up the best way that it could've and I think every person that had the pleasure of working on it should be proud of what they've unleashed onto the world.
Long live the Doom Patrol.

I've been doing redesigns of pop culture characters. Mostly working off the idea "What if I was put in charge of making a show around these properties" and the core founding Avengers was one of the first batches I finished
Ironman: Pretty straightforward; I just wanted something that looked armored, but could easily be simplified. I primarily took inspiration from the EMH version and the first couple of suits from the MCU with the intent that this is his Mark IV suit. That way I can easily do more suits and updated for him the future, particularly to flesh out future line-ups. I also threw in some black detailing to not only avoid using Gray (which most other associated Ironman characters heavily use), but to also act as a winking nod to how he took inspiration from one of his hot rods in the movie for that suits colors. My only real issue with how he turned out is some of the proportioning, so if/when I draw him again I'll try to make his shoulder less broad and his feet larger.
Captain America: Cap was pretty easy to a design for too; I leaned more towards his classic look, but tried to make it look like it was made from more modern materials. So instead of wearing chainmail in a simple suit, he has some pretty standard military gear with an armored chest piece and helmet. I also added some tactical pouches since I can see him either keeping a couple supplies on hand for long missions or to have something to slip a McGuffin into. I kind of have the opposite problem with his proportions that I do with Ironman, so when I draw him again (be it this specific design or more updated suits) I'm going to try to make him broader.
Thor: I prefer his more armored look from the mid 2000's-2020's, but wanted to start with a more classic EMH inspired look. Not totally satisfied with his face and might change the colors a bit in places if I redraw this design, but I do like how he turned out for the most part. Obviously I used the classic version as a base, but I made his belt buckle larger and tried to make the symbol on it look more like a cross between a tree (Yggdrasil) and an Eagle. I also turned his armbands/bracelets into fingerless gloves, taking some inspiration from his Ultimate counterpart and added one of those discs on each hand (I'm thinking they could light up when he's using his powers like the ultimate version too). I tried to keep the helmet simple and easy to draw while keeping the wings on them. I might also change some of the blue pattern on his boots to yellow to help them stand out more.
Hulk: Pretty simple, the only real thing I did was try to keep him a saturated green rather than the flushed one he has in the mcu. I have more problems with him compared to how the others came out, but that's mostly because I'm still figuring out how to draw human faces in my style and do exaggerated physiques, both of which are things that I'm going to have to improve through practice and experience. otherwise I think he at least works as a good starting basis for a good hulk design in my style.
Antman: Leaned toward Hank Pym since I hate how we skipped straight to Scott Lang in the MCU. Obviouisly both classic and EMH were the main inspiration for my take, but I did try to add some aspects from the MCU suit with a more enclosed look and proper gauntlets. I also tried to include a spots on both the gauntlets and belt for him to control his size shifting so that it's easier to justify him doing it without having to draw him going through that motion over and over again. I also tried to adjust the red to be a bit more orange-ish to have him stand apart from other very red-centric characters, though I'm not totally satisfied with the results.
The Wasp: I pretty obviously leaned heavily into the EMH version for my take on Janet Van Dyne, but I also tried to keep the enclosed suit idea for her like with Antman, so I threw in some aspects of the MCU design. I like how Wasp size alteration and other abilities are presented as more legit powers compared to Antman having to rely on the suit, but I did try to give them some visual cohesion by reincorporating the techy aspects of the formers suit into Wasp, though it's probably there more to help here store Pym Particles. I also gave her more of a proper undersuit and helmet and made the wings look kinda techy (Though I tried taking some inspiration from the space suit she had in EMH for those). I also tried throwing in some red to homage some of her original color scheme, but mostly limited it to stuff specifically surrounding her Pym tech.
I'm still trying to figure out how I would go about a story for HOW this version of the Avengers would from; though I would like Loki to be more of a final boss sort of deal, so I'd want to hold off on him being a direct threat until later. I could say that a single villain or one of the dedicated villain factions are the cause, but I think that would be too similar to the opening of EMH and Assemble. So maybe having it be so that a couple of notable, but usually unaffiliated, villains for Ironman, Thor, and maybe Antman team up to try to take them out one at a time, but the fight inevitably leaks out into the streets and draws the attention of the others resulting in them properly teaming up to stop the villains.

thoughts on britin in 2x19 / 2x20?
Me sad.
I genuinely think the break-up is equally both their faults, and there are serious insecurities on both ends generating this unraveling. Brian is generally called out for failing Justin, by like every character, but only Michael ever calls out Justin for what he did to Brian, which is why again I will say Michael is a necessary component of what makes Justin and Brian ultimately find their way to each other again work as a relationship.
Tumblr media
Both Justin and Brian both needed time to grow. They're two sides of the same coin, and both need to accept opposite truths: Brian needs to accept the best of himself (season 3's arc will be all about this), and Justin needs to accept the worst of himself (season 3's arc for him). Because without accepting both the best and the worst of yourself, you'll settle for the closest thing to what you think you want... but it won't satisfy.
Brian was pushing Justin away. That's his arc in season 2, which is a somewhat tragic arc (but necessary to build up his happy ending in later seasons). He truly doesn't believe he deserves love or happiness or anything, so he denies the best parts of himself. He never tells Justin that he visited him in the hospital every single night--in fact, he tells absolutely nobody this. He pisses on an image of himself as a hero, because he sees himself as a terrible person. He's always expected Justin to leave him (which he finally states in season 4).
Tumblr media
Justin's arc is no less a tragic arc in season 2. He's just less obviously self-destructive. Justin, from the very start of the season, is upset that he isn't perfect and needs help (as represented, symbolically, in his physical disability). But even as he starts to overcome that, his internal flaws start to show themselves... but Justin ignores them because he doesn't want to face himself (because, at the root, just like Brian, he fears he's worthless). While Justin sets the rules for their relationship--rules Brian never once breaks, even after they break up--Justin breaks them pretty much immediately, even before cheating with Ethan. But Justin still says Brian is the chief issue for fucking around, when Justin's the one who can't keep a promise. He has issues with the truth, preferring idealized images of not just Brian but himself, and so he falls for a lie... who turns out to be his worst self in Ethan.
Brian failed in not fighting for Justin--when Justin explicitly asked him to--because Brian's afraid to go after what he really wants: by the end of the season, he's settling for random hookups when he knows he should be pursuing Justin (and he didn't have to commit to monogamy to do this!). Justin, too, settles for not what he really wants in Ethan.
(I'd also argue Ted and Emmett's getting together in this episode signifies they're settling too.)
Justin always kind of knew Ethan wasn't what he wanted; he just tried to convince himself he was. The fact that Justin literally keeps searching for Brian at the Rage party says it all. Lindsay tells Justin Brian wants to see him, and Justin is excited.
Lindsay: Well, Brian is happy for you. Justin: He is? Lindsay: Of course! Mel: It's your big night, sweetie. He wants to be with you.
Excited Brian "wants to be with" him, Justin immediately goes looking for Brian. He wants Brian, not Ethan. But then he finds Brian in another man's arms, distracting himself from the fact that Justin is cheating, and by the time Brian does go to find Justin, Justin settles for Ethan--forcing Brian to feel what he felt when he walked into the backroom and saw Brian and the trick.
The ending is technically a tragic one, just like season one's ending, but fortunately it's the final tragic season finale.

The Continuing Mystery of Cory Barron’s Death
22-year-old Cory Barron was a senior at Bowling Green State University in Ohio when he decided to attend a Jason Aldean concert at Progressive Field in Cleveland on July 18th, 2014. Also playing at the show were Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, and Tyler Farr. Barron attended the concert with numerous friends, everyone was reportedly having a great time, and at about 9:30 pm, Cory decided to leave his ticketed seat to visit another group of friends in a different section of the ballpark. He never returned.
As the concert ended, the friends of Cory Barron couldn’t find him. They searched the entire ballpark, hung around to see if he would show up, called friends to confirm he didn’t leave with someone else, with no clue of where he’d disappeared to. By Saturday morning, a missing persons report was filed. The situation was so unusual, law enforcement immediately began conducting a search, and the FBI got involved. Every inch of the ballpark was searched three times just to make sure the young man wasn’t still there. Surveillance camera footage was poured over, and found nothing suspicious. A search was conducted by air and watercraft to see if Cory Barron could be found. Nothing turned up.
Then four days later, on July 22nd, 2014, The Lorain County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a local landfill. They had found a man’s body in a dumpster that had been transported from Progressive Field. It didn’t take them long to determine that it was the missing young man from Fremont, OH. Cory Barron still had his ID on him, and his ticket stub from the Jason Aldean show. Over eight years later, and after lengthy investigations from multiple law enforcement entities and private investigators hired by the family, there is still no explanation as to what happened to Cory Barron. But after eight years of the family insisting foul play must have been involved, the manner of Barron’s death has finally been changed from undetermined to a homicide by local authorities. But still, there were no specific answers as to what happened to Cory Barron. Though there had been rumors that at some point when the 22-year-old left his assigned seat to find his other friends, an argument or altercation might have ensued with some other concertgoers that could have ultimately led to his death, nothing had been confirmed at that point. Police investigators were unable to find any suspect or motive, but they were able to retrace how Cory Barron ended up in a dumpster, just not why. The investigation determined that Barron had fallen down a trash chute from an upper level of Progressive Field. It was a five-story fall, and caused multiple blunt force injuries on his way down, and death on impact. An autopsy revealed that Barron did have alcohol in his system, which wouldn’t have been unusual for a concert setting. No drugs were detected. The location of the trash chute was in the same general vicinity as Cory Barron’s ticketed seat at the concert, but it was located in a back room in the ballpark behind two double doors, meaning in an area not easily accessible by the public. And to enter the trash chute, someone would have to crawl into it. It’s not something someone would just accidentally fall into thinking they were entering a bathroom, for example.
Tumblr media
Doors leading to the trash chute.
Still, with no specific evidence that an altercation had occurred, Lorain County Coroner Dr. Steven Evans ruled that there was no foul play involved, and the death appeared to be an accident. “I’m less than happy,” said the corner himself about the findings. “We’ll never know the circumstances of how he wound up in the trash chute. I wish I had that for the family.”
But the family was not satisfied with this conclusion, especially with the rumors that at some point, Cory Barron may have been involved in an altercation with others. So in 2019, desperate for answers, the family of Cory Barron hired private detective Dick Wrenn, set up a hotline for anyone to provide information ((440)-333-6602), purchased billboards in the area, and offered up a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those involved in the young man’s death. “We believe that somebody hit him in the head, kicked him in the ribs, picked him up and dropped him down that chute,” said Dick Wrenn. But local officials and the Lorain County Coroner’s Office remained less convinced, until earlier this month. On November 14th, the Corner’s Office released a statement, saying “Since the death of Cory Barron in 2014, additional investigation has been conducted by private investigators and the Cleveland Division of Police. The Lorain County Coroner has been provided with information by the Cleveland Police that Cory Barron was involved in an altercation at Progressive Field prior to his disappearance and death. In light of the additional information, his death was due to the actions or failure to act of another person or persons. The manner of death for Cory Barron has been changed from undetermined to homicide. “The corner goes on to say that the manner of death is unchanged, that multiple blunt impacts from the fall through the trash chute and ultimately landing in the dumpster is how Cory Barron died, but that someone must have forced him into the chute as opposed to accidentally ending up there. Potentially, injuries inflicted before Barron ended up in the trash chute could also be possible, and be potentially indistinguishable from the other injuries incurred during the fall.

Bigass Bernard Backstory Headcanon Because I Can't Be Stopped
Bernard was raised by just his dad. IDK what happened to mom, nor do I care to explore that. He was just raised by his dad. And his dad worked for a space company of some sort as a janitor. Took his son with him to keep an eye on him, as the company had a daycare service on board for travelers and employees alike. This allowed Bernard to travel around a lot at a young age, which utterly fascinated him. He's probably bothered a lot of the crew members when he sneaks away from daycare, always wanted to go see the pilots but was always stopped. They'd spend a little time at home, during which Bernard would go and see Santi (who he considered his best friend; Santi barely knew him and just thought of him as that one weird kid who showed up on occasion). His schooling was almost entirely homeschooling during this time.
But when he turned 13, he aged out of the company's daycare program. His father was panicking trying to figure something out, but ultimately ended up having to just. Leave him at home.
Fortunately, though, he had help. See, they lived in Bumfuck Nowhere, Nijo. The entire county went to the same school district, and each grade level was still only a little over 100 students each. His neighborhood was literally three houses with 5 minutes of walking between them, all smack dab in the middle of the woods. His neighbors kept an eye on him, best they could anyway. In one direction were the Lawrences, an old couple who's own kids were adults by this point. They were grumpy, stubborn, and traditional, but they cared for Bernard all the same. They raised chickens and a vegetable garden, and would provide him with free food (veg and meat). Even taught him how to do certain tasks relating to gardening and animal care. Mr. Lawrence's rule on food was that you could take as much as you could carry. Bernard would strain himself carrying as much as he could, which did lead to him building a fair bit of muscle.
Celestine was new to the area, so they helped each other figure out stuff like where to go for the best food and what not. She was much sweeter and soft spoken, raised rabbits and a smaller vegetable garden. Again, shared her veg and rabbit meat with Bernard. Taught him how to cook and preserve food, generally dotted over him more than the Lawrences. She's also part Nijonian, part Karutian, and was born + raised on Hocotate. She came to Nijo looking for an idealistic country life that doesn't exist, but she did get a life she was satisfied with. Adored getting to help care for Bernard while his pa was away. Led to him calling her "auntie", which she rolled with.
Santi was a 30 minute walk away, but Bernard did it anyways for the company. He always visited Santi, never the other way around. Santi ended up having to be the one to help him adjust to his new school, since traditional schooling is so different from homeschooling. Bernard was desperate to make friends, was really sweet and outgoing as a result. And Santi maybe got a little jealous when this random guy showed up and managed to become fairly popular whereas Santi struggled with that.
Bernard got into a lot of trouble, to put it bluntly. It started small: would play in the coyote infested woods (Celestine told him not to), build not-so-stable structures, get into shenanigans with Santi (practically dragged the other kid along with him), collected random shit that was rather sharp, and so on. Typical dumb childhood things for someone growing up in the countryside.
But as he got older uh. The lack of supervision mixed with his need to be liked led him to get into deeper shit as he got into high school. Drank under aged a few times, never enough to become an alcoholic though. Someone did get him hooked on cigarettes, which he'd have to find ways to obtain in decidedly illegal ways since he, again, was under aged. Smoking is something he's still trying to overcome, though being in Yonny's care has helped a lot. All the while Santi was worried for his… Friend? Santi didn't know what to make of the guy. Lawrences never knew but his Auntie was very aware and very much always on his case.
He calmed down by the time he graduated high school, though, and soon began job hopping. Moved to the nearby city and started at a company that happened to be in competition with the one Santi ended up working for. When Bernard inadvertently made a product that put the company Santi worked for out of business, it sort of solidified this weird tense relationship Santi had towards Bernard. Which, of course, Bernard never picked up on and always assumed Santi cared for him just as much as he cared for Santi. Because I cannot overstate how much he adored Santi.
They both hopped jobs a bit, Santi trying to figure out what he wanted to do and Bernard trying to save up for flight school. Much of this is canon so I won't really get into it. Just know he got into flight school, got into a good company, and was then scouted by Shepherd. Now he's working for the rescue corps.
Side notes I didn't get to mention:
Bernard has ADHD and it absolutely heavily influenced his childhood heavily
Because of ADHD, he either can't focus at all or focuses so hard on something (that something usually being flight) that he forgets about everything else. This is pure self projection on my part.
Sometime either during late high school or soon after graduation, he realized he was gay.
Has tried to settle down in a relationship but struggles a lot for a variety of reasons I can't quite articulate. Been in many flings and the like as a result
Got into doing drag performances some time after graduation, he puts a lot of effort into it and has a lot of fun with it
Loves reality TV, eats that shit up
is definitely struggling with if he just likes Santi as a friend or if he's actually always had a crush on him and didn't know how to process it before
I mean, he only ever wanted Santi's constant undivided attention. That doesn't mean anything. Right? Right?
his childhood house is a cheap little trailer. It's not in disrepair by any means, but it's not a quality house either. Not the kinda place he's exactly eager to show off.
his relationship with his dad is perfectly fine, he adores his old man. Sends money to his dad and auntie now that he has the spare cash to send
An incomplete list of foods he won't eat due to flavor, texture, or both: lettuce, brussel sprouts, cucumber, eggs, pickles, oranges, peanut butter, pork*, cabbage, any other leafy food tbh, asparagus, celery, pineapple, shrimp, turkey, mushrooms, mayo, raisins. There's absolutely more than this.
*alright pork is on THIN ice but it's ok if made in very particular ways
Food mad by his dad or auntie is usually fine with him
He drinks way too much caffeine to stay awake. Always has a coffee or a redbull on hand.
EDIT: something I forgot to mention in my first posting, he is multilingual. He knows Nijonian (Patois), Giyan (English), Enoheean (French), and Galactic Sign Language (American Sign Language). I represent the languages with irl languages for a multitude of reasons that are a little beyond the scope of this post.
Bernard has a few meme responses to say in Enoheean to mess with folks, just because he can.
These include being able to Rick Roll people in Enoheean, being able to recite the Loss poem in Enoheean, and telling people that they lost the game in Enoheean.
Bonus round: Random Santi Facts That I Don't Have Enough of for Their Own Post Just Yet
Santi's rivalry with Bernard is super complicated. He has reasons to feel some resentment, mainly how Bernard inadvertently one ups him at every turn.
Santi has a lot of internalized homophobia from his parents and hometown. So some of the resentment is also from him misreading his own feelings towards Bernard
"Seeing Bernard with that woman makes me feel jealous. Clearly, I'm in love with the woman and Bernard has one upped me again. Ignore the fact that I barely know her and have said this for the past five girls I've seen him with."
eventually he and Bernard will reconcile

I just watched Kung Fu Panda 4, and I feel that it was so close to being a really good movie with a satisfying end to the series, but there were just too many little things holding it back, as well as some inconsistencies during the movie that made no sense for why some characters should've been where they were at certain times and it just felt slightly rushed and a touch too compressed, especially near the end of it all. I'm fine with the idea of passing on the title of Dragon Warrior and stuff, but I feel that it could've been handled better. But you best bet I am agreeing with anyone who says that Li and Mr. Ping are a couple and have gone on at least one date where they kept fumbling around, but that's not why I'm here. The Chameleon. Great design. Great power. Brilliant visuals. But not being able to get into any Kung Fu schools because she's too small? Then what's this little green stick bug here for then?! And this fangless snake that everyone kept making fun of? Or the bird built like a twig?! Literally Tigress is the only one who was really strong from the get go and fit the description The Chameleon was saying could be the only ones who could learn Kung Fu. And where was Oogway? Where was he when spirits kept getting yoinked? And shouldn't Kai be, like, not there? Like, I'm pretty sure he got turned into universe dust by Po, unless I remembered something wrong. Tai Lung was cool though, though I feel like his battle scene was a bit underwhelming for who he is. Made into disappointment when I realized that the lizards were still alive at the end of it. Like, Tai Lung doesn't show mercy. He's more than capable and has killed any who stood in the way of his goal. Of course, I am okay where at the end of the movie he accepted Po as being the right choice in the end. AND WHY ARE THE CRIME LORDS THERE?! THIS IMPLIES THAT THEY DIED AT SOME POINT, BUT WHY WOULD THE CHAMELEON BRING THEM BACK FOR THIS?! WHAT MANNER OF KUNG FU WOULD MAKE THAT WORTH IT?! And also, the thieves guild, what are they doing. They don't act like thieves except when showing that they are, in fact, supposed to be thieves. They're just a bunch of psychopaths that live in the sewers with how much they talk about and show how much they enjoy violence. I would've loved to see more interactions and reconciliations between Zhen(I only learned that was her name from the credits) and the pangolin dude(forgot his name). Like, that would've been so nice to see rather than "Hey there, we're going to kill you now" "Oh no, don't do that. Why kill now when you can do that later" "Oh, darn, you make a good point there. I shall leave you alone now and help you even though I want to kill you." Like, come on! The soundtrack was also kinda crazy at times, the last song felt really out of place with what was happening and the montage felt a touch unnecessary, which left a slightly bad taste in my mouth to wrap the movie up with. But for as much as I am complaining about it, it had a really solid concept and idea that was perfect for wrapping the series up. Po passing on the torch to someone else while becoming the new leader for his people, Zhen learning to trust and rely on another person was a beautiful thing to see that I feel was done pretty good. I loved the pangolin's design, and The Chameleon's transformation animations were so fluid and disturbing each time until the ultimate form one that felt kinda weird when you saw it moving and like just a dragon, but the Po form and execution was so scary and well done. And Mr. Ping and Li were a joy to watch bond and talk and bicker like a married couple(which they definitely are). Overall, it was so close to being a great movie with just too many small things bogging it down.
When I tried to talk to my brother about this we spent two hours complaining about the Project Monarch universe and how a lot of stuff that happens in it is dumb and how so many ideas and things are thrown out of the window. And where's Mothra? Where's my girl Mothera? Godzilla in that universe is nature's wrath, and apparently Mothera is supposed to be the nice part of nature or something like that it's been a while since I watched the movies okay, but like, where is she? I know she died or something, but a big part of what makes Mothera Mothera is that she is constantly being reborn, so where the freak is she?! My brother had a lot of other complaints that I forgot already, but I have to agree with him. The Monarch universe, while interesting concepts and other things that it started out with were good, has thrown far too many things out of the second story window and rewritten so many facets of itself and only ever implied, never saying or showing many things, implied so much that you would need a bulletin board to explain everything. And I only just learned tonight that there is an official Monarch series that has so much freaking stuff in it that explains so much that they never really advertised. And who is this angry red monkey playing with bones? I haven't yet seen the new Godzilla vs Kong movie, and I don't plan to, but who is he and why is he there?
AND WHERE IS MOTHERA?!
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Please let me know your thoughts and feelings in the comments and tags and whatever else I may not know of since I am still new to this land of Tumblair, and have a lovely rest of your day.

talk about beep-0 and why you like him
dude. dude
do you even. realize the dam you just blew up? the fucking floodgates you have opened asking Me this question????? Because Its a very good one!
Why do I like Beep-O? I'll try to explain. Sorry if this is a bit long, I want to be as detailed as possible.
Tbh, I've been really interested in Beep-O, ever since his first video in 2018. The weird way he spun around, his odd manner of "speaking", and the video in general just being confusing for lore sake turned a lot of peoples heads, including little me. He... intrigued me. The video itself suggesting Beep-O had tried to escape ADHOC? I ate that up. He was the most interesting piece of the puzzle of Fandroid lore at the time (atleast to me.). I liked him at the time because he was just. a mystery. a blank i could fill in with anything i wanted. pretty sure i even had an au at the time where he was a villian and was. scarily similar to 404 in terms of personality. i had so much fun making theories and thinking about what mightve happened to the poor guy.
And then the 2023 Fandroid era happened. Oh. My. God.
I literally regret missing his debut stream, I really do. so hard. That being said, when i heard the news, i still freaked out. this was the first time they brought on a "guest", and it was beep-o?!? The bot we all thought was dead for the longest time, sitting on stream with melody. just like that. and his status of living wasnt the only thing that had changed. He had had a design change, his old story was basically non canon (though i still use bits of it in my personal hcs, mwehehehe), and he finally, finally had a voice of his own.
granted it was just tts, and broke about halfway through the stream, but i was ultimately satisfied with how he was going to be potrayed, even if i was a little put off at first. His personality was... very standoffish (at least to melody). hes witty, and kinda rude, and sounds... incredibly tired. even with only having a tts voice. In an offhand comment, he mentions how he has to control all of the vital operations at ADHOC, now that the humans are dead. Things like temperature, general security, even control of military weapons such as missles? I realized then that hes really got a lot on his plate, and probably didnt even wanna be there at all (that part he kinda made obvious lol). that made me curious. curious as to where this character was being taken. a character i had wondered about for years.
he didnt show up for another couple streams, only being mentioned, which was fine. he didnt Need to be the center of attention at all times. we hear most of the same stuff. hes easily irritable, a but of a pessimist, and does Not take kindly to anyone putting Fandroid in some sort of danger (we know this bc fandrew is pretty much locked away forever now bc of the box incident.). beepo seems to hold some level of care for fandroid (not blowing up melody because fandroid would be sad, sticking them and Only them in the panic room to make sure they were safe). Fandroid doesn't really seem to see this, mostly just put off whenever beepo says anything slightly optimistic (which says. a lot. jesus beepo are you okay).
One thing I think people tend to pass over is that Beep-O TRIES. he tries protecting the adhoc bots. he tries assuring them that everything is going to be okay. he even tries helping MELODY, who hes had a running feud with for who knows how long! And nobody (atleast in canon) seems to appreciate it! They just write him off for being a little rude when hes obviously overworked and stressed due to an intruder being in the building for nearly a month now.
Hes got layers to him, hes not just a authoritative jerk to be a jerk. He Cares. HE CARES ABOUT THEM. IF THAT WEREN'T THE CASE, WHY WOULD HE REASSURE . WHY WOULD HE RISK HIS OWN LIFE TRYING TO RELAY MESSAGES TO MELODY? HE DOESN'T NEED TO DO THESE THINGS TO FUFILL HIS PURPOSE, YET HE STILL DOES THEM.
And while we're on the subject, don't even come at me with the "well hes a security bot, thats his purpose!" bc HAHAHA no. its something more than just his purpose (which. i will get into the specifics of that when i talk about hcs dont you worry. thats a whole seperate post though.)
anyways yeah im not gonna talk your ear off any longer than I have to. I just think Bypass Portals is a lot more complex of a character than people give credit for. That or i am just. reading into everything wayyyyyy too much which is entirely possible.

It kinda sounds like the people didn't actually unlock the Eternals so they'd miss out on the characterization (understandable, I'm also not about to try and recruit them currently), and then, what, based their personalities off headcanons and fanfiction? And then get upset that the characters are more complex than fanon?
You can see Siete's manipulative side, maybe not in Poacher's Day, but it's really obvious in Bzzt! when he's manipulating the twins
Sure, it's "just" to go to the beach with him, but still. He plays it off as being a sad bullying victim, but it's very clear what he's doing if you just look for a second
God, literacy is so low, how dare people just imply things instead of spelling them out
the worst is that i saw that from people i KNOW unlocked the Eternals which is what bugs me. I can only assume it's because it was so far ago in their mind?!
And yeah else i'd say maybe the summer events didn't help, and i know when SoR came out Poacher's day was in the side stories but not Bzz! so maybe they were really relying on him being more lowkey in Poacher's day?
tho i think in general people only see manipulative behavior when those behaviors are supposed to be harmful and/or have a negative impact.
When Siete shows himself being manipulative in Bzz! people probably overlook it as him just being quirky and he doesn't actually do harm, so it doesn't matter and he must know to hold back when it matters right?
or when Siete is manipulative and threatening with MC during his FE, it's because he doesn't know MC and just sees the threat the weapon cause right, so when he will know MC he won't be manipulative anymore right?
I think it ultimately comes from this idea that Siete wouldn't *seriously* try to manipulate someone he actively trust, for something that could hurt them. which is why people thought it was out of character that he left Seox be hurt the way he did to manipulate everything right.
but, yeah no, i'm sorry, Siete isn't manipulative just to be quirky and "knows to hold back", he's manipulative most of the time and it just ends up spilling again when he's having some downtime because it's a second nature.
and he doesn't manipulate MC just because he doesn't know them and doesn't trust them and see the threat of the weapon, he would do the same if he trusted them, the whole point is that Siete gets tunnel vision when he sees a threat he can handle on his own.
and i think "... and you" doubled down on that in a way people found satisfying, but /i/ remember when people thought it was out of character. But "... and you" makes clear that, no, Siete has this habit to want to handle everything on his own and thinking he knows how to handle threat this way, and in this case he will manipulate people around him to get there. and "And you" shows both how, if unchecked, this behavior would have him turn into Sieten't, and how Siete now has to learn to rely on the Eternals, as the whole climax of the event relies on Siete having to come to term with the fact that now he has this group he can rely on and he shouldn't be manipulating the odds so he himself can take care of it.
But ultimately i think it's really just that when people hear of behaviors that are usually coded negatively (manipulation, lying, ect) they believe it means the character is trying to do harm, and it's.... not the case. and it's why they struggle to reconcile that when Siete manipulates and lies to his crew, it's usually because he has their safety in mind on the grand scheme of things -- but that to get to his end goal, he will have to accept that they'll get hurt, and he genuinely believes he can handle it alone and that they wouldn't understand his reasoning. I believe he's very much a "the end justifies the means" type of person, and he knows people will not accept the means, so instead of discussing it and compromising, he just takes the whole heat once people explode at him for it.
He's ruthless and pragmatic on that regard. he's not a bad person, but ultimately he falls back a lot on some dishonest methods out of an unhealthy level of self-reliance. and it's something he does so often that it slips when he tries to have normal interraction with his crew, and i think it's a much more interesting justification on why his crew, especially Seox, Feower and Tien, have a hard time with this behavior, than if they were just being bitchy about Siete being clingy.
and it's genuinely much more interesting to see him get burn with that because his crew is trying to remind him that they're an unit, than just pretending he's the perfect big bro who is able to leave aside this ruthlessness to be a good captain.
idk man. maybe i'm also making a Siete in my mind that doesn't exist because i found the one from SoR to be compelling. But genuinely like. The pieces are here and it's so odd to imply that SoR came out of nowhere while there were countless of moments that showed that Siete is perfectly capable of doing this type of things.
