Writing concept: Strade with an ex-girlfriend whom broke up with him via text after she found evidence of him "cheating" (a pair of unfamiliar underwear that belonged to one of his many female victims). The only reason she is alive to this day is because she never comforted him in person.
I came up with this scenario after thinking of how many times we, as humans, have avoided death without realizing it. Strade's ex, in this instance, might be regretting not telling him off or at least asking for an explanation, not knowing if she had; it would have ended with blood. (I guess this can also be tied to the butterfly effect...?)

More insanity incoming weeee-
When Warriors first met the reader it'd been during the war. Warriors had been severely injured in the front lines and had to be brought back to camp to a healer's tent. It was there that he met the reader, who had been assigned to help nurse him back to health. In the beginning their relationship was......strained.
Warriors seemed to refuse to actually rest, wanting to be back out on the front lines once more so he could protect his fellow soldiers and friends from the enemies that threatened them. Much to his displeasure however, the reader refused to let him do what he wished. Instead keeping a close eye on him and somewhat forcing him to stay on bedrest till he was given the okay. It'd all come to a head when he'd once again tried to leave in his condition and the reader had finally snapped, calling him foolish and letting him know that if he went back out there in his state, he'd end up getting more people killed rather than saved.
Suffice to say that it really shook him up. However due to the reader's blunt and somewhat harsh words, they'd helped him realize that what he was doing was rather foolish in the long run. After that their relationship became better. And when he was healed up and given the okay the two went their separate ways till the need for a healer arose again. Unfortunately the reader would come to learn that the need for said healer would become a constant thing considering that Warriors always seemed to be getting hurt or worse. Yet without fail they'd patch Warriors back up, scolding him for his recklessness while also somewhat praising him for his bravery. The two soon struck up a friendship with one another, and Warriors started to seek out the reader even when he wasn't injured or wounded. Wanting to spend time with them.
However Warriors wouldn't fall in love with the reader until much later. When the war had ended. Once it'd ended Warriors was somewhat treated like some kind of hero, always being asked to do things and being praised for his efforts. Women and men flirted with him in the hopes of getting with the legendary war hero, and he was often times treated as if he was nothing more than the legendary hero. It was as if, save for those who personally knew him, his entire personality and what essentially made him who he was had disappeared. As if he was no longer human in a way.
The reader on the other hand was different.
They treated Warriors the same as they always did. They scolded him, they fussed over him, they healed him and forced him to take breaks. They reminded him that he was indeed human, and they made him feel like he could finally let his guard down. Because unlike with everyone else around him, the reader never expected anything from him. Never expected him to act a certain way or to portray a certain image. They just wanted him, flaws and all. And it was because of this that he'd fallen so hard and fast for them. When Warriors first joins the chain and they first learn about the reader back in his time, the other men knew almost immediately that the healer was different from the others he'd talked about. When he talked about them Warriors would look like he was talking about something incredibly precious. And that made the chain realize that he loved them.
Back in Warriors time, everyone believes that he and the reader are actually courting and have been for years. Because of how naturally they interacted with one another. Artemis, Impa and the others are fully inspecting to receive wedding invitations at some point in the future. The only people who don't know about any of this hilariously enough are in fact Warriors and the reader themselves. They're so wrapped up in one another that they don't even realize that they're basically courting. In fact they're both still trying to figure out how to admit to one another that they're in love with each other.

some little blurbo's i've thought of a bit <3
— witch!wilbur au where you meet him in his little (totally legal) shop and become a regular there fairly quickly. him teaching you little spells and helping you find your familiar amongst other witchy things
— you being royal(king)!wilbur's knight/right hand. silently watching as he tries to find another to sit beside him in his throne because you're just meant to be by his side to serve and protect.
— dadbur au where you're tallulah's(his daughter) teacher, and he meets you when he's called to pick tallulah up early for once. tallulah had wanted you two to meet for a while, so she acted up to make it happen.
— fae!wilbur attempting to take your name or at least trick you into stepping into his ring without inviting you. you being a vampire that can't enter a place/home without an invitation, neglecting to inform wilbur of this and causing a round about with him.
— college au where wilbur's attending for entomology (study of insects) and you attending for general zoology (or whatever else). bonding over random animals and ranting to one another about bugs and animals.

Zombie conlang made up mostly of gestures and sounds like growls and groans
Zombie conlang that’s more simplistic than the usual human language but also more complex than the languages of animals like dolphins or corvids
Zombie conlang with variant gestures/sounds for zombies with missing body parts or vocal cords that don’t work
Zombies working together via their own language
Zombies struggling to remember & relearn how to speak the language they spoke as a human
Zombies using limestone, charcoal, mud, and/or blood to write messages on abandoned buildings for their fellow undead
Zombies with decent eye-hand coordination writing journals
Living allies of non-hostile zombies picking up bits & pieces of the zombie conlang from their zombie friend mumbling to themselves or trying to communicate hard-to-translate ideas
Living allies realizing that their non-hostile zombie friend seems to have designated zombie-language nicknames for them
Zombie conlang <3
(I know in-universe it wouldn’t be a conlang, and that there are similar ideas in the real world of broadly understood languages, I’m just brainstorming with little research lol)

Transformers infection AU where the energon in cybertronians bodies begin to crystallize, starting in the limbs and slowly moving to the spark. This causes energon to crack their bodies, leaking out of them as well as joints, causing them to be unable to move. This also affects their processors, causing them to be more hostile and aggressive, and eventually reaching a completely feral state before dying. The effects of the crystals stretching and breaking their shells can lead to their limbs and bodies to look irregular and unnatural, like overextended or lengthened limbs, strange postures, and energon growths. Contaminations is via infected energon.

Hero x Villain concept
They're sworn enemies who hate each other with every iota with their being, but they don't realize they're also life-long best friends who have a crush on one another. They fight to defend/destroy the city without realizing their arch nemesis is the same person they just had drinks with the other night.
It's like Miraculous Ladybug with extra steps

okay i have a concept i need to share
a corrupt hero. detective x villain.
detective is friends with hero and has been assigned a case. it seems normal at first, but as detective falls to hero about the details, hero realizes that this is the villain’s m.o. as things progress, detective realizes it too. this will be their big break! they’re so excited.
detective gets closer and closer and unknowingly even meets with villain a view times, who finds them and their efforts charming. hero is frustrated, they’re supposed to be the one to save the city and take down villain, not detective! hero feeds off of detective’s work, worms their way into the case.
then, it happens. detective does it! they figure out the location of villain’s headquarters. but hero can’t have it, can’t have detective steal everything they’ve worked for. so upset and enraged, hero captures detective and goes to meet villain, who’s shocked. they expected the cute detective to show up!
villain is enraged, realizing that something must really be wrong. now this can go one of two ways:
1) hero wins, framing detective as a partner of villain’s, and steals detective’s work. villain eventually finds detective, offers them the opportunity to get revenge on hero.
2) villain wins, exposing civilian as a fraud and saving detective’s life, getting pardoned for their crimes.

World building, Characters, and Plot. Oh My.
Everyone has a bit of a different approach to these things, however my plan of attack tends to focus on what the story is going to be. Before someone even starts drafting the ideas of what is going to happen beat by beat, we should know where the focus is going to be and commit to that. In serialized fiction, there is always the possibility of that to change, but that change should be organic and natural. When things change, the characters or their story, it can't be a sudden turn. It needs to be logical to the direction we are already going in, and it needs to happen when the time is appropriate.
You don't turn around and sail towards England when you are already heading to Hawaii. Additionally, if you were heading to Hawaii and decided to continue to England, you need to account for the extra time and work it'll take to get there.
Is the show about an underdog group of assassins carving out their business in Hell while growing closer as a found-family? Or is the story about starcrossed lovers of a prince and an assassin who are brought together by happenstance? Or is it about this one guy who is deeply complex with a tragic past and a warped sense of identity reaching self-actualization as his views of himself and his world are challenged?
The story itself could be all of these things, but only one can be the centripetal force. To balance multiple plot threads, the main story needs to be very firmly established like the black hole in the center of the Milky Way. Then like the solar systems in the arms, they can ride the gravitational force, while structures and stories that exist are independent and yet intrinsically reliant upon that center plot. Without a central focus everything would scatter and fall apart when put under even the slightest force, including its own trajectory.
My personal preference leans hard into character-driven stories, but in a particular way. The show is called Helluva Boss, so Blitz is obviously the gravitational center.
There's a reason why I bring up the concept of a galaxy, like the main story needs to be the most dense. Black holes are gravitational sinks in the fabric of the universe, they are infinitely dense. On the outskirts are the solar systems. Every solar system has its own gravitational pull in the form of a sun, and around those are the planets.
When people say "world building" they aren't joking. There are many ways to build a world, but this is mine. Each step of this concept is a character to me.
The best way to visualize is to simply make it visual, so here ya go.
Tumblr media
There are people who have a scenario premise and build from there, and that is never a wrong move. However, what makes the story isn't the premise, but the characters. This is why I focus more on character stratification, dynamics and arcs rather than just a scenario. The primary ring is for characters who directly affect the plot. Secondary characters influence the plot but work more directly to affect the characters, and tertiary characters influence the characters but work more as world building qualities.
I personally don't like trying to write out a Character's personality in any way. In my opinion, it results in characters feeling less nuanced and rigid, it lacks substance and just becomes a banal laundry list of descriptors that doesn't leave room for circumstance. Instead of trying to define a Character's personality, I focus instead on their history. Personality is a mixture of nature and nurture, so by focusing on the Character's past and upbringing, we can define the parental structures they grew up under and how that influenced the decisions and events of their life. It also says far more about their own image of themselves than any list could. By building a personality out of a story, it automatically fills the character with nuance, motivation and depth.
The plot dictates the angle of the characters, dictates the needs of the world building which then dictates the progression of the plot and it keeps going around.
In considering the plot, especially for a rewrite, it is best to isolate the primary characters of import. There absolutely are ways to have a large cast. Arcane is an excellent example of a series with a massive character-driven story and cast that balances all branches of the narrative through appropriate supporting characters and extensive world building. if the world feels lived in, the story has more room to spread out. The larger the cast, the more room needed.
In the case of Helluva Boss, this is a disaster situation. Granted not inherently, but in terms of a serialized fiction, yes it's a bit of a mess. There are too many minor characters who have nothing to do with the plot aside from showing up once or twice for the sake of conflict. So like a bonsai, this needs to be trimmed down a bit to the major players. There is always room for someone to come in later in the story, but in serialized fiction, they require that dedicated time to establish them in the story.
Tumblr media
For the plot, I'm focusing on Blitz as a character and how he grows and changes to be the focus. Going back to the galaxy analogy, this means he has to be the most fleshed out and well defined character at the very start before anything else. The densest part of the narrative.
Tumblr media
The primary characters are those characters that could feasibly have their own chapters and not break the bank so to speak. Their stories are both separate from, but integral to the goings on of the plot. The thing is, all these characters should be able to hold a story of their own, but the main plot may not always benefit from that style of writing. Primary characters have more leeway because things that happen separately to them, while being outside of the main plot, are more likely to influence how they interact with said plot.
There is also this idea that anything directly connected to the primary circle will have more influence than the items that have a secondary or third connection.
Tumblr media
Moxxie and Loona carry more weight as characters, despite being secondary, than Stella and Octavia. Moxxie and Loona will be more involved with the primary story of Blitz, but Stella and Octavia stay mostly relegated to interacting in Stolas' chapters. They don't have much influence, except through Stolas. However, Stolas, Barbie and Fizz have their own stories that tie into the plot, whereas side stories of Moxxie and Loona would be more about character exploration.
Tumblr media
And here are all the story concepts based on plot lines I have considered right now. There are more and it is left open to move things around and reorganize, but it's already complex from the start and tins out as we get further from the center. Now that doesn't mean the characters necessarily get less screen time or characterization. It just means they have less pressure to tie back to the primary story.

SoLYGBM Dating Headcanons
(Since I live for this damn fanfic)
(Part 1 of the Gaster Brother Dating HCs💕 more on the way)
Sans:
- His preference is usually humans and/or women (sorry fellas) but who knows, maybe if he meets a particularly handsome and funny guy he’ll think about it
- He legitimately doesn’t know how to “feelings” at first
- But after he figures his sh-t out, from then on you got an official sweetheart on your hands
- Even if you forgive him for the cr-p he pulled, he’s still gonna be pretty guilty for it. Expect the spoiling treatment from your new bonefriend
- He likes being the reason you’re happy💕
- He does have a bit of an attachment issue. He doesn’t like being away from you too long. But at the same time he doesn’t want to seem too clingy, so good luck with that affection paralysis
- Oh and mommy issues, out the wazoo (this is canon. not up for debate)
- He loves how little you are compared to him. He’s always been the shortass of the group (people tend to stop making fun of him for it when he passes them a death glare) so it’s nice to just coddle you and wrap his arms around someone he knows he can protect
- Please tell him he’s doing a good job. Please.
- Or literally any form of verbal or physical praise
- This touch-starved, praise-denied and affection-refused puppy bear will roll over for you
- Speaking of big puppies, this guy is the prime example. He’ll happily fetch you little objects you need or run you a bath or shower, pretty much anything he can do by himself to prove his devotion
- There’s not really a single love language he chooses from. He loves physical affection, complimenting you, doing things for you, getting/making you gifts. He wants to do anything to be closer to you
- EXTREMELY protective, like close to insanely protective. And that’s not an embellishment
- Might have a tiny itty bitty thing for you calling him a “Good boy” Would never in his life admit it though… unless he was very very very drunk
- Cuddles with him are amazing, he never knows how to ask though. He thinks it sounds dumb if he says it out loud
- He likes holding you on top of him, cuddling your side and big spooning you. But the best cuddles are when you let him bury his head in your neck so he can cling onto you
- If you’re not a fan of physical touch, he’ll happily resort to other love languages. Same goes with the other types
- Rumbles softly whenever he purrs
- When this guy’s in any state of mindless euphoria, he growls like there’s no tomorrow. Yes he’s fine. Nothing’s wrong. He’s not angry or hurt in any way. Why would you think that? Just please keep doing whatever you were doing
- He makes you breakfast in the morning :)
- His will doesn’t match your physical attributes, you give him some cute puppy dog eyes and he’ll melt to your whims. As long as it’s nothing serious of course
- Unfortunately not a non-monogamous kinda guy. He wants you all to himself. That does mean you get the occasional jealous spikes, but it’s more because of his insecurities than mistrust
- If given the chance, he’ll cuddle with you for hours. So keep an eye on the time so you don’t miss anything important
- One of his absolute least favourite things is watching you cry. Whatever it’s about he wants to see that gorgeous smile again as soon as possible, and he’ll do anything to get it
Bonus
- If you tell him that you’re AroAce or on the spectrum of it, he’s going to be a little confused at first (the 20s wasn’t a great time for lgbtq representation). But he’s an accepting guy nevertheless. So don’t worry about that part. He can work into his head whatever boundaries you may need
Bone-us (see what I did there)
- When I said he’d roll over for you, that wasn’t a joke. He’ll do anything to make you feel comfortable. And if it means you feel better in control, he’s happy to take it
- He knows how vulnerable you can feel and wants you to feel relaxed, so expect a whole heaping pile of praises and body worships. He’s a sucker (👀) for making you blush
- He does actually enjoy the teasing. Not for weeks on end but just something playful he can translate as your affection
- If something ever goes wrong he makes a big deal out of it, sorry, that’s just how he works now. He’s worried you’ll associate being with him like that with pain, and that’s not even on the list of things he wants
- If he went a little rough and ended up bruising or puncturing your skin, you best believe you’re having an aftercare day after that. He won’t accept anything less
- He doesn’t usually pick favourites on body parts, he loves every inch of you without hesitation, but anything soft and plush, he’ll occasionally favour. Oh, and anything he can clearly distinguish as yours. Hair, lips, skin, hands, heartbeat. Those kinda things
- He’ll looks after you every step of the way, but I suggest you take a moment to reassure him too. Anything to calm him down after that. He’s always so worried he’ll lose his cool and break you like glass. He’s a very strong monster, and a lot bigger than you. So just letting him know he didn’t hurt you and that you enjoyed it will work. Maybe a kiss too… maybe another…? Please…?
- He starts sounding more romantic and deeply in love with you towards the end. It’s more of a baseline instinct. Something he reaches for when his head’s getting all cloudy and fuzzy

But like what if you do a reader insert type of deal......with Welcome Home.......BUT.
It's set up like a Muppet movie. With a Toy Story like twist perhaps?
Like for example-
Reader is a tired human who's either being eaten away by their job or school life or whatever and they suddenly get bombarded by these little puppets. The puppets could be either hand me downs or something else idk and the reader at first is reluctant to take in these nine puppets cuz ya know they're pretty busy but after much consideration they decide to take them. And for awhile it's semi normal, about as normal as one having extremely old puppets from a children's 70s show could get. Until one day the reader starts to notice that things are a bit off.
Things have been moved or misplaced, the puppets keep popping up in random places and the reader at this point is thinking they're losing their mind when they stumble over the answer to why everything's slightly weird.
Turns out the puppets are sentient.
The reader may or may not have a small panic attack or nervous breakdown.
After that awkwardness however they start to bond with one another and the reader starts to get a feel for having fun again and just enjoying life all thanks to their little puppet friends.
Ya know that really sweet campy stuff that's always in the older movies involving the Muppets about enjoying life and following your dreams the works.
Just an idea.

a few little blurbos i've been thinking about as of the past few days, actively working on the first one and have the second one started <3
— ghost hunting in an abandoned house with wilbur, just making jokes and bullying each other the entire time to try and ease any nerves you have about being there
— going undercover as a detective/officer and getting into book club, unexpectedly catching feelings for dark wolf along the way and backstabbing him when he finds out you were there to investigate and put an end to the club
— wilbur being the preacher's son and one of your long-term friends, running off during youth service together to hang out in a forest behind the church away from everybody
— an enemies to lovers slow-burn where superhero wilbur hates you as a villain [and vice versa] but loves your civilian identity without realizing it, he just doesn't understand why he can't get this civilian in his arms
— cowboy wilbur meeting a city runaway [you] and letting you stay with him after bumping into him at a saloon or market, him teaching you the trails, how to ride horses, feeding the livestock, etc. while falling in love over time

“Character A comforting character B after they wake up from a nightmare” has to be one of my favorite scenarios to imagine.
And when I apply it to Benbaro I realize it could work both ways.
Barok wakes up having nightmares about the horrors of his past, and Albert tries his best to ground him and remind him they’re both in the here and now. And then he gets one of his smaller machines/gadgets and lets Barok hold onto it and take a look at it as he explains how it works. This piques Barok’s interest and the inquisitive side of his mind (that makes him such a good investigator.) He examines it closely just like a piece of evidence, trying his best to understand it. Once he can form words, Barok compliments Albert’s invention, and thanks him for his kindness.
Albert wakes up from a nightmare about his trial ending in a guilty verdict (even though he’s long since been proven innocent.) Barok is at his side almost immediately, and when he’s certain Albert isn’t hurt (just afraid,) he goes to fetch him tea. Once they’re sitting down to chamomile tea together, Albert nervously admits what his nightmare was about, and wonders out loud if he’s a coward. Barok reassures his old friend that nothing could be further from the truth, and it actually took great courage to return to London and begin new research in spite of everything that happened. Albert is happy to know that Barok will always support him, and feels at-ease after their late night conversation.

I just really really want a superhero movie with Jim Carrey and James Marsden playing a divorced villain/hero couple. They had crazy chemistry in Sonic.
They have kids, too! And they didn't separate because of generic " my morals as a hero don't align with yours" faults, no. They divorced bc of lack of communication like a random couple.
Mind you, they certainly don't act like they're divorced. Jim Carrey's character will stop mid fight just to ask if their youngest kid is signed up for summer camp,
" I thought...You were going to do that..."
" Well you thought wrong, honey! You know. When they gave YOU the kids because I'm just too much of a danger apparently, --"
" Which I heavily disagreed with, just so you know."
" Maybe they should've taken into account that I'm not the one born and raised in a goddamn LAB RAT LAB"
" Hey, they were good to me in there!"
" They forgot to feed you. For a YEAR"
" Y...Yeahh. just to see how long I'd last, you know."
Mostly let this movie be a commentary on how a superhero realistically wouldn't survive in a capitalistic driven American, " Well, you know, technically I'm not a citizen so they can't PAY me, but! I got this cool job as an English teacher!"
" ...Listen that's great, but you're telling me you save this city 3 times a day and all you get is a computer generated thank you letter?"
" They got my name right this time!"
