Yandere Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Adrien Agreste Headcanons (Poly!Romantic)

❝🐞 — lady l: hi!! I finally wrote this and it's set in an au where they eventually discover each other's identities to make more sense. I hope you like it and forgive me for any mistakes! ❤️

Everything was always very complicated between them. Marinette in love with Adrien and Adrien in love with Ladybug, both unaware of each other's identities and feelings.

Marinette always remained hiding her feelings for Adrien, too embarrassed to say anything and Adrien continued to yearn for Ladybug. This continued for a long time, until your arrival in their lives.

You were a new student and felt out of place after leaving your old school and your friends. You hoped to make friends at this new school, but you were afraid you wouldn't be able to do so. But luckily, or unluckily, you met Marinette first and she introduced you to her friends, who immediately liked you.

Marinette liked you, at first sight, you were so kind and sweet. She almost fell right there and it confused her, but she couldn't help but admire you.

Adrien became interested in you after a few conversations, and you caught his interest and attraction. He had something about you that made him attracted, and curious, an unknown feeling that he wanted to feel more of.

It wasn't difficult to notice their interest in you, Marinette constantly stuttering and blushing when you were around and Adrien, although shy, loved flirting with you and seeing you blush.

It wasn't easy to admit their interest in you, Marinette was still in love with Adrien but she really was in love with you, therefore, she didn't know what to do. Adrien was more resolute and acted in the way he knew how wanting to declare himself because he could no longer keep his feelings to himself.

Adrien was the one who first noticed Marinette's interest in you and he was surprised to notice that he didn't have a problem with it. If it were anyone else, he would have, but not with her. Because Marinette had a habit of stalking you incessantly, it didn't take long for her to realize that Adrien liked you. She was curious and excited, not jealous like she thought she would be.

They talked and decided to act quickly, both confessing to you. You were surprised and flattered and accepted, and finally, a romance happening.

Marinette is very jealous and overprotective, always wanting to know where you are and she will be very worried if she doesn't know. She will go so far as to use her Miraculous to look for you, even knowing the consequences.

Adrien is possessive, getting jealous very easily, and doesn't react well to it. He doesn't like it when you're with someone other than him and Marinette and will use intimidation to make someone stay away from you, whether with money or even his Miraculous.

They have always been very protective of you and at any sign of danger you will be quickly hidden and protected. They already talked about giving you a Miraculous, but Adrien considered it too dangerous. There was always a chance you could get hurt and he wasn't going to allow it.

You are spoiled intensely, clothes made by Marinette and bought by Adrien, jewelry, food, expensive and extravagant gifts to the simplest ones, like roses. You will never lack for anything as long as they are by your side.

They want to see you happy more than anything and will do everything to make that happen. They can't even think about the idea of you being akumatized, the idea alone sends them into a frenzy at the thought of it happening to you. No, they have to be sure that this will never happen.

Marinette is very kind and soft, a mask of her true stalker and extremely jealous side. Adrien is kind and calm, always with a smile on his face and ready to make you smile, but he acts very strangely when you don't do what he asks.

They know they shouldn't use Miraculous for selfish reasons but when it comes to you, they won't care. Marinette doesn't care about ruining herself for you and Adrien has been ruined for a long time.

You are theirs and anyone who tries to get in the way will suffer the consequences. After all, you didn't just belong to Marinette and Adrien, but also to Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Adrien Agreste is your servant, your obedient and loyal boyfriend, your best friend and no one else loves you like he does. That boy would do anything for you, absolutely anything.

He is very shy and awkward around his obsession, Adrien would be even more closed off about his feelings than he normally is. He doesn't want you to hate him, for you to find him disgusting, for you to walk away from him.

He's the kind of guy who prefers to watch his sweetheart from a distance so he doesn't risk being rejected, so he's more than satisfied just being your one and only best friend. Just the two of you, as it should be.

Adrien is very impulsive, he acts by emotion and not by reason, if someone is taking too much of your time he should and will act quickly to change that. He wouldn't be so direct as to threaten someone, but he would be subtle, manipulating you to get away from them and if that doesn't work then maybe they'll get a visit from Cat Noir.

He will do anything and everything for you, you are his princess/prince so you don't have to bother lifting a single finger because he, like a good boyfriend/friend, will do whatever you want. He'd be more than happy if you asked him to help you get ready, Adrien doesn't miss a single opportunity to stick close to you.

Adrien is extremely overprotective of you, if you are a Miraculous wielder he will try to get you to give up on and if he fails to do that, in a fight he would never leave your side. He can't and won't risk you being harmed by a villain or even Hawk Moth. Speaking of which, if any of these villains managed to crack a finger on you, Adrien, more precisely Cat Noir, would get rid of them once and for all and in a more definitive way.

Jealousy? No, Adrien is not jealous, he is possessive. Agreste is jealous of anyone or anything that has your attention no one but him should get your precious attention, no one but him can hear your beautiful voice and see your pretty face, hey, he's a famous model, a beloved superhero and your best friend, is that not enough for you? Is he not enough for you?

Adrien is friendly, empathetic and generous to everyone and those traits will always carry on, that's who he is, but if you asked him he'd put aside all his friends, even Ladybug, hell, he'd go so far as to disobey his father for you. He is your biggest support, whatever you want to do or have planned, you can be sure he will be there for you. Always.

Adrien has a desperation to be loved, he desperately wants to receive his father's approval and love, but since he doesn't, it's you he seeks love and approval from. He's very reckless and he doesn't mind getting hurt in his superhero duty or as a civilian, if that's the price he must pay to get what he so craves so much, so be it.

He is very insecure, Adrien always needs confirmation that he is the person you love and care about the most, if not, he gets paranoid and can get to the point of getting hurt and asking you questions like ''Why don't you love me?'', ''I… I'll do anything! Please, Y/N, don't leave me!''. Adrien would go to extreme lengths for his sweetheart, you are the only person important to him, if you left him, he would not try to hurt you, no, he would kidnap you and, after realizing what he had done, he would kill himself. Adrien can't bear the thought of being taken away from you, so if he can't be with you in life then that he will meet you in death or another life. Either way, you two will meet again.

He's a walking danger to himself and others, but not to you, and the fact that he possesses the Miraculous of Destruction doesn't get anyone excited. Although he is very honorable and kind, Adrien will not hesitate to use a miraculous for a selfish reason for you. He will destroy the whole world just for you if you ask him, so it would be perfect, wouldn't it? Only the two of you would be left, the only people that really matter.

In general, Adrien is a safe enough yandere to be trapped, he would never hurt you and would do anything for you. But as I said before, he only loves and values you and your opinion, Adrien would get rid of his friends and his father if they tried to stop him from being with you, no one who tries to keep him away from his obsession can be good and he swore to rid the world of bad people. He will make the world a better place just for you, all the bad people will be eliminated and no one can stand between you. Perhaps he ends up destroying himself in the process, maybe even becoming Cat Blanc, but none of that matters to him and only the fact that you are safe and with him. Only with him until the end of yours lives.

which brings us to our current situation

damian wayne was your latest victim. so far your favorite prey of all those that previously had his spot.

he was everything you liked about the domino masked hero: sassy, controlling, and ever so quick to take the bait that is your teasing.

but a small, itsy bitsy mistake on your part caused him to get horridly injured.

as such you took it upon yourself to take care of him that night.

he kept rattling on about “not needing your pity.” or how “a heinous criminal like you shouldn’t be even touching him” as if you two didn’t wrestle in more ways than one on the regular.

of course you ignored his pleas like always and healed him up

“why are you doing this? if not pity then—“ damian cursed as pain shot through his entire body. every time he was getting on your nerves by speaking too much you’d often dig into him harshly with your gauze.

“i wouldn’t want our chase to be over before you catch me.” you breathed out, wincing at all the blood before you.

heroes and vigilantes alike often dehumanized you. would say that you were some heartless, ruthless criminal with no regard nor compassion for anybody but yourself. but you could never get used to the blood and violence it took for you to get what you want — what you needed.

selina said that was your best trait

“after all, don’t you enjoy proving those stupid do gooders wrong?”

she’d say

you smile as you remembered the times you’d tease his predecessors. how you’d shower them with love, how you’d endear yourself to them. your little birdies til they weren’t. it’s amazing how blinded by love they were. they never even began to think that your flighty nature was the one at fault and not theirs for failing to keep their occupation.

perhaps you should thank bruce for his shitty parenting techniques.

damian never really thought much of you. he knew of tim’s little stalking hobby, of jason’s bloody shows of affection, of dick’s reckless attitude whenever you two fought. he just saw those as proof of his triumph, his superiority. if you acknowledged him then he succeeded. if you pitied him then you saw him as a failure.

then he realized he never truly understood them until this moment

but now that he knew just how much he has, that his brothers don’t. something that they would no doubt kill to have again…

he’ll make sure they never get you even over his dead body.

premise. and just when jungwon thought it would be a boring night, another round of chase begins.

extra note. i haven’t written dark fics in over a month now so please excuse how rubbish this is. i’m using @/dear-yandere’s prompts as my warm ups.

CURIOSITY WON'T KILL THE CAT.

jungwon knows because he's still alive, sitting by your side. and he's entertaining himself by watching the mouse drag herself across the floor, painting a messy, crimson trail as she does so. when she reaches the doorway, she manages to pull herself onto her knees and press one hand upon her wounded abdomen.

silly little thing, she believes she's going to escape. heaving herself upright proves to be a mistake after the pain surges through every nerve in her aching body. and in such agony, she couldn't bother suppressing her scream.

his lips twist into a frown. really, did she have to make so much noise? cleaning the dirty floor is already going to be a pain and a half, now—

you begin to stir, eyes almost fluttering open. that is, until jungwon's humming bleeds into your dream. combine his dulcet lullaby with his gentle caresses upon your skin, and you decide there's nothing wrong with staying under for a little longer. eventually, his fingers dance across your wrist until he feels your slow rhythm once more.

“that's it, baby.” he leans over and kisses your forehead. “sleep tight, i'll deal with our little annoyance.”

satisfied, the dyed noir cat carefully pushes his chair back and removes his dress shirt. as he had come to learn a few months ago, red doesn't let go of white so easily. oh well, at least he knows now. it'd be a shame if he had to destroy another article of clothing—especially when this was one you loved to ‘borrow’ from him.

he picks up his knife and leaves your bedroom, remembering to shut the door as he does so. don’t worry, he’ll clean up the mess later. now that he's sure you won't be disturbed, he's free to run around and look for the mouse.

by a stroke of luck, he finds her wobbling down another hallway. jungwon has to give it to her; she's lasted longer than the others. in fact, he's so impressed, he thinks about letting her go.

“where are you going? you can't run or hide~” he taunts her, the words chillingly echoing through the air.

she looks over her shoulder and sees him getting closer. fear is consuming her, yet she still pushes herself to make it down the hall. it doesn't matter if the pain increases tenfold, she picks up her pace.

by the time the mouse reaches the stairs, there's not much energy left in her. realizing this, she resigns herself to leaning against the wall, chest almost caving in on itself as she slurs, “i'm sorry.. please don't kill me..”

jungwon crouches down and innocently tilts his head to the side. “why not?”

“please.. please.. i won't tell anyone..”

“i see..”

“i.. i swear.. i'll do anything..”

“any~thing?”

“yesss..”

he seems to give it some thought. she really is fun to play with. it wouldn't be far off to say she's the best toy he's had in a while. perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to keep her a little longer..

he draws out a sigh. “but you came here to hurt my baby, don't think i forgot that.”

indeed, for some reason, her stupid mind conceived the idea that by doing so, the pain your rejection inflicted upon her will ebb.

so jungwon decides to test the theory for her. of course, he makes a few modifications before that.

“wh.. why-” is all she manages to choke out before her body falls slack, just like her heart's rhythm. without her hands weakly fighting to pull his knife away, he gives it a little extra twist.

the cat, now satisfied with the knowledge that his theory is correct, merely smiles and lifts his bloody hand to pat her head.

“because experimenting is fun.”

I know the accepted LoveyWalker timeline is that Marinette decided to ditch Ladybug for Loveybug after Chat rejected her but consider this...

Chat Noir just "quit" and Plagg was getting his "replacement", and while Adrien is coming up with Cat Walker Marinette decides she's messed up too badly as Ladybug. Maybe she kind of has a bit of a mental break, and Loveybug is just something that... goes wrong, as a result? Like, Loveybug is BROKEN. Marinette just lets it all go when she's in this persona and it's really cathartic for her but also a very bad coping mechanism. (Tiki is very worried about development.)

And then there's Adrien with his new superhero persona, which is already SUPER messed up considering he decided to change literally everything about himself to please Ladybug. And then Ladybug DITCHED him and nominated THIS WEIRDO to be her replacement. But Loveybug doesn't know that's why he's angry, why would she? So he can't be mad at Lovey, but he's really just DONE with Ladybug.

Listen, all I'm saying is that this particular timeline arrangement is really fucked up and I love it so much. It throws them together when they're at their lowest. They're both wearing masks over their masks. The game is made up and the points don't matter. You can even throw in some yandere, if you like (and I would).

Gimme that sweet sweet unhinged anti-hero power couple. This is the pair that would stop Monarch before he happened. AND with Loveybug laser-focused on obsessing over Cat Walker, Adrien wouldn't even register on Marinette's radar any more and Felix would never have the opportunity to become Flairmidible. He'd have to get the Peacock Miraculous some other way. And, well, that just throws everything up in the air, doesn't it? It's anybody's game after that.

This features some altering of canon to make Nath less of a creep. Just letting you know.

Nathaniel Kurtzberg was prepping for the undead apocalypse, something that he had been hiding from his classmates. He had studied zombie movies, comics, games, and books religiously. He had been turned into Evillustrator after getting caught drawing zombie apocalypse plans in science class. He knew his stuff and kept that knowledge to himself in case he had to kill an undead friend. When Miss Bustier, or “Zombizou” barged into class and infected Sabrina, the redhead knew exactly what to do. Sure, this was an Akuma who would probably be defeated by Ladybug and Cat Noir in a span of an hour or so, but he wasn’t taking chances. While everyone else was panicking, he analzyed the infected. They seemed to act as love-hungry zombies, repeating “Kissou” over and over and spreading the infection via smooches. Nathaniel also knew that Chloe had caused the akumatization, as usual. So he figured that in order to avoid Zombizou’s wrath, he needed to get as far away from Bourgeois as possible. He couldn’t do it at the start, as people would look for him, wondering where he had gone. He waited until Mylene had been infected, causing a panic between the group. It seemed that as usual, most of his classmates were running around like headless chickens, attracting attention from love zombies. Why couldn’t they just keep calm and find a safe spot? Whatever, he still managed to slip away, and began looking for a place to hide. Maybe the classroom he had left? Zombizou would be looking for new places to infect, skipping the places she already visited. He had dived into the empty classroom, closing the windows and locking the door.

“Alright, more like yanderes than zombies, but I can make it out if I keep calm.” Nathaniel said aloud.

This would be fine! All he had to do was keep quiet like always, and they wouldn’t notice him. Should he use a marker and draw kisses on himself, blend in with the rest of the infected? Probably not, they’d smell the marker, and uninfected kids might think he was a zombie himself. He would have kept on debating what to do, if he hadn’t heard a scream outside the room, a tall boy in a hoodie ran for dear life, before stopping at his door.

“HELP! IS ANYONE THERE! PLEASE HELP ME!”

Nathaniel recognized the voice. It belonged to one of the boys in Mendeleiev’s class. He had seen the kid a few times during lunch, sitting by a tree, always writing in his notebook. Nath had found him to be pretty cute, and wished he would join the art class, even if he just knew how to write. The paranoid part in his brain screamed not to let him in, in case it attracted attention.

“I’M NOT INFECTED! I SWEAR TO GOD! PLEASE!” the boy screamed.

Nathaniel felt his heart ache for the boy, and decided to be a hero. He unlocked the doors and pulled the tall kid into the room, locking the door behind him. He was immediately hugged by the hooded kid, causing him to blush. He heard the other boy’s muffled cries of relief, causing his heart to melt even further.

“Thank you! I thought I was gonna die out there!” the boy sobbed, staring up at Nathaniel with tears in his eyes. Nathaniel just shushed him, taking the boy to one of the desks to sit down.

“Sshh! It’s ok, man. Just try not to attract any more attention, alright? This is a hiding spot I don’t want to lose.” Nathaniel explained.

“I-I’m sorry.” The other boy sniffed.

He gave the writer some time to calm down. Once he had composed himself, Nathaniel stuck out a hand.

“I don’t know how long this is gonna last, so I want to get to know the guy who’s hiding with me. I’m Nathaniel Kurtzberg.” He said.

“Yeah, I know who you are.” the writer mumbled. “I’ve seen some of your drawings on the school website. The movements, the expressions, the attitudes, they’re all so... vivid.” he gushed.

Nathaniel couldn’t help but blush. Some people had complimented his art before, but not in such detail, not with such genuine passion. “T-thanks.” he sputtered. “That means a lot to me... what’s your name?”

“Marc Anciel. Better known as ProseScript.” Marc replied, causing Nath’s eyes to widen in shock.

“You’re Marc Anciel? The one who writes those amazing short stories for DuPont’s website?” Nathaniel exclaimed. “I thought it was just the Literature teacher using a penname!”

Marc beamed a little, scratching his neck. “I didn’t feel comfortable revealing my identity. So I went with “ProseScript” instead.” Marc admitted. He showed his notebook to Nath, as if to backup his claim.

“God, the dialogue, the use of vivid descriptions, the wit, you’re amazing, Marc!” Nathaniel gushed. “I’m glad that if I’m gonna die in a love-zombie apocalypse, it’s with someone with such a talent.”

“Yeah, I feel the same way about you.” Marc said, starting to grow in confidence. He then gave a little chuckle.

“You know it’s funny. I’ve sorta been prepping for an apocalypse, shame it was the wrong kind of monster.” Marc giggled. This intrigued Nathaniel. Marc had been preparing for a monsterpocalypse as well? They really were perfect for each other.

“Oh? What kind?” Nathaniel asked. Marc opened his backpack and pulled out a small black notebook. As he showed off a few pages, Nath could see content dedicated to holy water, garlic, silver, a bucketload of ways to defeat bloodsuckers. Every type of vampire was in there. Like Nathaniel, Marc held a lot of knowledge for monsters, except he specialized in vampires.

“I thought the monsters would be trying to suck my blood, not my tongue.” Marc joked, before groaning in response.

“I’ve been prepping too! Except for zombies, not vampires.” Nathaniel responded. They shared a laugh over the absurdity of the situation. Then, Nathaniel felt his heart begin to beat rapidly. The realization hit him like a freight train. He was in love with Marc. But why? He only just met him! Sure he thought he was cute, but did he really want to have a crush on him? Normally, he’d hide such feelings, but this was an apocalypse. Those rules went out the window. In an unusual show of strength, he cleared his throat, and looked at Marc.

“Marc, I think... no, I know I love you.” Nathaniel admitted, relieved to get his confession out of the way. Marc gaped in response, before hugging the redhead once again.

“OMIGODOMIGOD YESS!” He yelped, before being shushed by Nath once again.

“Sorry! It’s just, I’ve had a crush on you for a while! I didn’t think you liked me back, I saw you giving googly eyes to Marinette-”

“Eh, I’m bi. That’s ok with you right?” Nathaniel asked.

“Oh totally, I’d never be biphobic. I’m just so happy the feeling’s mutual!” Marc replied.

“Well, when this is all over. Would you want to make a comic with me? As boyfriends?” Nathaniel asked.

“Yes yes, a thousand times yes!” Marc cheered. It was at this moment that Nathaniel got an idea. He heard the love zombies getting closer, and grabbed Marc.

“Kiss me.” he stated.

“Now? Doesn’t that seem a little fast?” Marc asked.

“There are infected coming, and we need to blend in. Plus... I want to see what it feels like.” Nath admitted. Marc nodded in understanding, and as the zombies passed their room, they ignored the seemingly “infected” boys kissing each other. As they moved out of sight, the boys pulled away from each other, grinning from ear to ear.

“That was amazing.” Nathaniel gushed.

“Not how I wanted my first kiss, but it felt awesome.” Marc replied.

And so the two boys spent the next hour or so, hanging out together, learning more and more about each other. At some point, Nathaniel’s classmates would come back, cured by Ladybug’s Miraculous, but he didn’t care. All that matters was that he survived Zombizou’s apocalypse, and found a partner while doing so.
