Celtic doesn't even fit as a voice for Roman

Celtic who has obnoxiously and ridiculously stated how he's a better writer than the actual RWBY writers. I can't remember if he actually name dropped them, but honestly it wouldn't be shocking if he did. The guy that thought up "faunus heat cycles"; Velvet x Cardin; Cardin having an "actually a good guy deep down" angle; asspulled Roman back to life & linked him to fucking Oz as if that works in any damn way; did a sauna scene to have fanservice; had Blake essentially become a cop; Ilia getting harsher judgement; decided Shay D. Mann deserved an entire character arc (biggest insult is that creepass having a romantic relationship with Raven who is sooooooooooo damn beyond his level its unreal); repeatedly shoves the femme MC's behind males; etc thinks his ass is a better writer.

As aside: -pulls camera to full face cam- Celtic if you run across this, you aren't at all. You're not even close, you're just another incel chud peddling in right-wing-isms that lead to disgusting ass elements in your bullshit.

Celtic has a history of problematic elements within his "Ruining RWBY" bullshit

Syto tried to poison the well going into v9 via realizing what everyone else did in that Bees were coming and him trying to paint the pander angle that ignores the 10 years, 9 volumes of work put into BB leading up to said vibes people had about their becoming official.

Syto who tried to do Cherish his AU spinoff and failed; tried to do his own project w/o anything to do with RWBY and failed; and scurried back to another RWBY AU project

Syto who basically dived into the idea of Yang being an airhead party girl throwing out her entire true self. Not to mention his redesign sexualizing her in the exact aspects one would expect from an incel shitbag. Barely anything there waist, barely anything there top, massive cleavage.

Like these shitbags should be nowhere near fan projects. Don't give them normalization as if they aren't what they are.

Sinnoh Gym Leader Headcanons Pt 1:

Roark:

- has a, dare i say, “rocky” relationship with his father. originally his father wanted riley to take over orebourgh’s gym, but since he rejected it roark was his second choice. he’s still kind of bitter over it and likes to rebel. (i.e “my dad told me not to do this” *does the thing directly after*)

- every fossil that the other miners find is double-checked by roark because he knows his shit.

- when he was in orebourgh trainer’s school he would be that kid moaning in the back of his class bc he thinks that’s peak comedy. also because he knows it’ll piss his dad off.

Gardenia:

- gardenia can interact with fantina’s ghosts without crying, and that’s it. one time, she tried to interact with cynthia’s spiritomb. it took the elite four and cynthia thirty minutes to calm the girl down.

- yes she loves plants but she’s also a piercer hear me out she can definitely do piercings she’d be that girl that gives other girls piercings in the school bathroom.

- is eterna’s local weed dealer. not as good as morty’s shit, but volkner tells her she’s getting there. cynthia definitely knows but looks the other way.

Maylene:

- maylene had her first kiss with aaron at age seven, as they were childhood friends. they both exclaimed “ew!” as soon as their lips touched.

- her mom left her when she was twelve bc of her dad’s gambling problem. her dad was never home which left her in the care of her grandmother. she’s angry over this. so, so angry. but cynthia tells her one day that she herself was raised by her grandmother, too – and look at her now: sinnoh’s champion. this inspires maylene to train harder.

- it was rumored in veilstone that maylene’s hands were made of pure steel which is why she could punch so hard. one time as if to prove this rumor, flint asked her to punch him in the stomach as hard as she could. the league had to shut down for the day as flint recovered in the hospital. it was awkward to explain to the doctors and nurses as to what happened. no, flint did not want to press charges but he’s terribly embarrassed. aaron tried to warn him, so he figures he deserved this outcome.

Crasher Wake:

- wake did wrestling shows that were in the style of a drama (think, WWE) and would come up with the most outrageous storylines.

- was the kid that beat up bullies at his trainer’s school bc “two against one isn’t fair” and, “pick on someone your own size.”

- frequently challenges byron and fantina to a drinking contest after gym hours, and he almost always loses. but when he wins, he’ll throw his hands up, and then promptly pass out.

Fantina:

- when she was ten, she marched up to her parents and told her that she wanted to be called “fantina” from now on. her parents welcomed their daughter with open arms.

- is Kalosian, which according to the sinnoh league members would explain why she can hold her liquor so well. she usually comes out on top in those drinking contests between wake and byron.

- is the most widely known coordinator around the world. you could go to an island with no electricity and the children and elders knew the name “fantina dumont.” if you were fortunate enough to go to one of her shows, you would see paramedics on standby because when she sent out her Drifblim a few people would pass out in awe, not fright.

Byron:

- before he married his wife: byron shot his friend in the ass with a BB gun by accident, went to hoenn with his buddies and they got kicked out from every single bar by staging fights so they wouldn’t have to pay for drinks, and swam from johto to kanto after he and his friends flipped a police car and were being chased. he drops random stories like this at league meetings and everyone stares in bewilderment – including his own son because what the hell dad wdym you dropped acid with the champion of Unova once???

- occasionally stars as a guest in one of wake’s wrestling shows. they play lovers having a quarrel before wake tackles the shit out of him.

- during canalave’s yearly pride parade he is the one giving dad hugs because “even when i was a kid, men have always had men… y’know, i had a buddy once, back in the mines… and he was a little off to the side, but he was damn good with a pickaxe. had a beer with his husband once.”

Candice:

- snowpoint city in the sinnoh region is known as the “home of the yodelers.” on top of being the gym leader, candice is the best damn yodeler that snowpoint has ever seen.

- she also had a reputation as a little girl for throwing snowballs at visitors from another region before declaring sinnoh was the best.

- if you want gossip, candice will spill all the details. she knows everything about everyone. no one is more up to speed about who’s-sleeping-with-who, who-cheated-on-who, and how Stacy Cambridge from her trainer school definitely got a nose job and yes, it’s definitely noticeable. no one really asks for her gossip, but she blabs it at the league meetings anyway.

Volkner:

- smokes a pack of cigarettes a day. one time to be cheeky at a league meeting he lights one up, therefore cynthia threw him out – which was what he wanted so thank you cynthia.

- has been on so many fucking antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds throughout his life that he’s basically an expert on them. a lot of the younger gym leaders and elites (i.e gardenia, aaron, candice, roark, and maylene) are depressed and/or anxious and lets them know his own experiences with meds.

- when he was a kid, though he wasn’t a sunyshore hoodlum, he did learn how to use a pocket knife. not that he ever needed it since he had a pikachu to thunderbolt the motherfuckers if he wanted to.

i love YR and i love wille and simon so much but i will be a simon defender till the day i die. i can see both wille’s and simon’s POVs for how they acted but idk as poor POC simon’s actions resonate more with me. regardless, the reason why i say this is because i always see so much more wille support/simon hate online than i do vice versa. im not asking for wille hate but im asking for prepubescent girls to stop supporting wille simply because he’s an attractive white boy. i dont know—maybe im oversimplifying things but what do you think about the split between simom defenders and wille defenders?

I get it. It's not fair but I get it.

Why?

Because Simon is all of us.

I might be able to identify more with Wilhelm when it comes to many things, his personality, his anxiety, his temper... but in essence every single one of us will always have more in common with Simon than with Wilhelm.

It doesn't matter how different our lives, upbringings and the small everyday things which shaped and defined us are from Simon's. It doesn't matter how much I see my younger self reflected in Wilhelm, how much I can relate to his struggles (I mean it does, but for this specific argument it doesn't). My life will still always be closer to Simon's than to Wilhelm's.

We are Simon. Simon fucks up. Simon makes mistakes. Far reaching mistakes, and it's always easier to be self-critical and insecure than not to.

I'm Simon. But I wouldn't have done xyz! (I wouldn't, I'd either have done something worse or nothing at all, which might just be worse still.)

Simon is a teen and he makes teen mistakes. Sometimes understandable ones, sometimes stupid ones, sometimes crazy ones.

It's normal. It's relatable, it's every one of us but different. Of course it's easier to be critical of Simon. To 'hate on' Simon. He is us, but he doesn't always act like we would, nor does he act like the idealized version of the beloved character we want him to be.

He's a teenager and he's flawed and he's human. We love him and we want him to be perfect but he isn't. Of course there's Simon 'hate'. It's not okay, but I get it.

Simon is us, but he makes mistakes we, however unconsciously, think we wouldn't. We think we would do better, or at least we hope so, and so we criticize him.

It's not right, but I also get the urge to do so even if I don't approve.

Wilhelm however? Wilhelm is different.

Wilhelm is a prince. Worse, he's a crown prince and future king. He's His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Sweden, Duke of Some Historical Province or Another.

His entire existence causes a knee-jerk reaction of defensiveness. At least it does in me.

Him being a minor who didn't choose who he was born as helps, but it's not enough. Yes, his life isn't easy. Yes he's living with pressure none of us can understand. Not the irl crown princess and not rwrb's Henry.

But he also has power and privilege and wealth the likes of which we'll never truly be able to comprehend. No matter what he chooses to do once he's an adult, he'll always have that.

Wilhelm's entire existence is a reflection of most of what's wrong with this world. I cannot in good conscience root for him and I shouldn't like him. We shouldn't romanticize and glorify royalty, not even fictional one, because all their wealth, power and privilege is built on our backs and sustained by our backs.

I should hate him, not feel sorry for him. I shouldn't empathize with him.

And yet Wille is my bb and my fav and I love him and he never did anything wrong in his life. Not ever. Wille is perfect. He deserves the world and I'll defend him and his wrongs to the very end of it and damn everything and everyone else.

Why?

Because if I start to acknowledge, in all seriousness, that any of his mistakes or wrongs are in fact mistakes and deserve (more) consequences, no matter if it's the fact that he's an objectively bad friend to Felice (I'm already getting super defensive typing these words because Wilhelm, my poor bb, had reasons and deserves to be selfish!) or that you never, ever point any gun at anyone, not ever, or any of his other numerous mistakes, then I'm opening up a Pandora's box I cannot close again.

Yes, he's a teenager and he's flawed and he's human. Yes, he makes stupid, far reaching mistakes. Yes, it's everyone else who hands him his power and privilege. Yes, it's all inherited, as is his wealth, but that doesn't make it alright.

You cannot, in good conscience, root for Wilhelm without also acknowledging or at least being aware of the inherent power dynamics at play, and I'm not only talking about Wilhelm and Simon's relationship, but Wilhelm and everyone, including his mother and the royal court and the entire government.

All three need Wilhelm more than he needs them, and once he fully realizes that he's going to be (even more of) a menace.

Wilhelm doesn't have any political power on paper, but that doesn't mean that his actions can't influence and control the entire Swedish legislature for years. That can be good, sure, at least in the long term, but it'll also take away from much needed other laws etc being discussed and passed, ones which would better the lives of many Swedes directly and immediately. That is scary, because it's real, or it could be.

Wilhelm is a minor and Young Royals is captivating, fictional escapism. But my ardent republican heart (of the non US kind) still struggles with not getting immediately defensive when talking about my love for Wilhelm, because Young Royals is also so real and realistic and a reflection of so many things which are still extremely problematic in our oh so progressive, look at how much worse all the other countries are, can't you be happy with what you've got? part of the world in ways many other shows aren't, and Wilhelm and his rank and title and entire existence are at the heart of it.

The biggest 'problem' Young Royals has is that despite the premise, it is so realistic and relatable and well done. It's almost impossible to escape into the fiction of it to a degree where you can solely focus on the cute boys falling in love and the romantic tragedy of their struggles, without also being at the very least peripherally aware of our reality being reflected in every scene.

Young Royals is romantic and hot and heart-wrenching, but it also criticizes the system and society and shows us exactly how little people like Simon, people like us, matter to the upper class, and it does so from the very first episode in which Simon tries his best to stay strong and tells everyone exactly who the country's biggest welfare receivers are. And he's right.

Simon deserves our defense, our support. But I don't feel the need to. I should, because Simon is not as strong as he wants to be, but he's also a normal teen and nothing is easier than looking down on teenagers and people we can identify with or have things in common with. We all do it all the time, willingly or not, consciously or not, thinking we're better, that we'd do better, no matter how much we love them, because not doing so would mean acknowledging our own faults and flaws, would mean we'd have to admit that Simon is doing the best he can in a way most of us probably wouldn't be able to.

Wilhelm however? I can identify with parts of him despite of everything he stands for and not because, and that is scary, because I don't want to have anything in common with a future hereditary head of state.

I don't want to sympathize with royalty, with people who can control others around them with nothing but words, worse their mere existence. People who, were I to address them in anything other than the third person and with a title, would consider me to be the rude one, as would everyone around us.

And yet I do. I do identify with Wilhelm. I sympathize with him. I think I understand him, but scratching the surface of that is dangerous, because no matter how much we need escapism in these hard times romanticizing royalty, sympathizing with them and thinking they're just like us is not only tricky but dangerous.

It's what the elites want, all of them, while they laugh at our plight and profit off of our hard work. It's what gets horrible people elected president and billionaires turned into cool, dudebro heroes. It's a slippery slope and none of them are the exception, no matter how much they try to convince us otherwise.

Of course we get defensive, of course we're so passionate to highlight that Wilhelm's mistakes are okay and are overly critical of Simon's.

Defending Wilhelm is not rational, it's not logical, and yet it is, which is why I will burn down the world in Wille's defense and serve it to him on a silver platter, because my bb deserves everything and his feelings and struggles are valid and who am I to judge. Wille never did anything wrong.

Finally, I get where you're coming from, but please don't make this about prepubescent girls. Or teenage girls. Being a girl that age is hard. Your body and feelings are changing in ways you don't understand, people suddenly treat you differently. Adults, kids, other teens no matter their gender. You are sexualized, and your intelligence and skills are suddenly only of secondary importance at best. It's scary, and even when it's good it's not safe. You always need to be wary and careful lest you have to pay a price for your joyful inattentiveness, a potentially traumatic, life changing price. Being a prepubescent and teenage girl is also wonderful and freeing and eye opening in the best way, but anything you do or say will always be reduced to silly teenage girl, even by other teenage girls, someone to be made fun of and not taken seriously, when in truth nothing requires more strength and tenacity than surviving as a prepubescent and teenage girl. So if fixating on attractive, unattainable white boys helps? Let them and don't judge, no matter your age or gender. It's not perfect, but it's safe. More, it's a safe way to explore your budding sexuality and bond with others along the way, something which is so important when nothing about being a girl that age ever feels safe, not even when you think you can do anything and know everything. That attractive, unattainable (white) boy? Be it Wilhelm or the current boygroup heartthrob of choice? He is going to reveal private things about himself (most likely made up, but that doesn't invalidate how finding out those facts makes you feel) without demanding a price, you can develop an intense parasocial relationship with him and learn and grow from it, it can help you in many ways which aren't obvious at first (I still keep up with my teenage boygroup and listen to every one of their new albums even though it's been twenty years and I've had musical anhedonia for almost as long), and he will never, ever grope you or insult you or make you feel awkward and insecure, nor will he ever pressure you to do something you're not ready for (unless it's to spend money you don't have on useless stuff you desperately need). Please don't be condescending or judgmental of prepubescent girls, especially ones having to grow up in the age of social media and smartphones everywhere. Fixating on the attractive white boy is a matter of self-defense. It doesn't mean they aren't aware of what they're doing or that doing so isn't ideal. They know. Everyone is constantly telling them and making them feel guilty about it. Please don't be one of them.

Ofc I choose to give Gaius a second chance since he's my babygirl but I also think it makes the most sense narrative-wise. There's this reoccurring theme of abuse and violence, being hurt and hurting others, and this becoming a neverending cycle of pain. In BloodBound, anytime a character seeks vengeance, it rings hollow. Killing to end the cycle of violence and abuse is justified, but to even to hurt the one who hurt you, often only manages to perpetuate the cycle. It does not bring the characters peace or satisfication. Such as when MC kills Nicole, it only manages to bring MC more nightmares. It doesn't demonize killing or even vengeance, as it is something that victims deserve if they wish for it, such as showing killing people like Vega or Priya as the right course of action.

When MC and Rheya go on their murder spree, when they kill those who were to some degree, however minute, responsible for their suffering, arguably deserving to die, it's only gives MC and the reader cold, momentary satisfaction.

It's interesting to note that instead of Rheya's death being this glorified moment where the 'Bad Guy' is finally slain and all the heroes are triumphant, it is, instead, a hollow, empty thing. She is on her knees and wallowing in self-hatred and anguish. She very much deserves to die after all her actions, and she promises she will continue her torment, letting her live is not an option. Killing her is ending her reign of torment and hurt, it is necessary and just, bringing the characters relief to know she would never hurt anyone again, but not a happy, victorious moment.

There's also the juxtaposition between Rheya/Xenocrates and Gaius/Kamilah/Adrian. Rheya, Xenocrates and the old Gaius needed to die to finally end the cycle of violence that they had been perpetrating, individually and through each other (Xeno and Gaius being victims of Rheya). Gaius, Kamilah and Adrian once also perpetuated that cycle but when Adrian had turned against Gaius, rejecting the cycle, ending it and refusing to continue it, just like Xenocrates, Kamilah stood by him, unlike Gaius, and both of them henceforth tried to become better, not for the sake of redemption or atonement, because they weren't sure if they could ever truly make up for their past sins, but to do good in the world and stop others from hurting others like they once did. By the end of BB3, Gaius is in the same place they once were. BB doesn't condemn the characters for killing Gaius, as they were his victims, but does encourage letting him live and framing it as the better option (letting Gaius go will lead to him saving the girl while she dies if he was killed).

Will it be in the same universe (spin-offs and Lovely Thorns), a continuation or a whole new thing? Either way, at this point, I’ll read anything you write, Wednesday or not. I hope you enjoy your well-deserved Pokémon game!

After Chaos wraps up Wednesday's junior year, there is much work to be done for the main characters. They need to continue restructuring the Outcast world/governing body with updated/inclusive regulation, dissolve werewolf issues we didn’t really get to explore much formally since Enid rejected her birth pack and never went before a council herself, even if she and Wednesday did blow the lid off the decades-old conspiracy, and there is so much more yet to come within the girls’ still-maturing relationship. Larissa also has growing to do! (Let’s hope not physically, lmfao - she already gained an inch after molting in spider form and returning to human, I just don’t think she could get any taller.) I do have stories I want to write within the Chaos universe. I have an idea for a different structure for telling stories from Wednesday’s senior year and future without it consuming me like this did, that I am considering It would not be the same long-format narrative structure that the first one had in terms of time passing in the fic, and I haven’t committed myself to it fully - still playing with it. Stay tuned to this Tumblr for updates or follow the author account on AO3 to get notifications when/if I post something new. I also have a blood-oath of my own with my beta, and if I don’t write Larissa x Holly finally going at it at the cottage, she might kick me out of her apartment during my upcoming December break from work. You also might have wondered just what Larissa was so happy about that Wednesday could feel in recent chapters? Tracey will hang me if I don’t write that as well. Both to come as soon as I can write them in Lovely Thorns. I have three different E-rated JosiexEmi one-shots that I started as well, that I will probably finish for that collection as well.

I also have ONE WenClair one-shot that I started (this is news to Tracey if she is reading it, I am so sorry bb) that is set in their late 20s so I can do one with an E rating, based on an unhinged TikTok account that has NOTHING to do with Chaos and is humor/fluff and everything you would expect from twenty-eight-year-old Ms. Wednesday Addams while also wondering: WEDNESDAY WHY?! CAN I MAKE AN AO3 POST THAT IS LESS THAN 13,000 WORDS? WE WILL SEE! (I should challenge myself to write UNDER a word count, now THAT'S a challenge.) (Who knows - Layla could also up and disappear again and go back to sending unhinged password protected Google Docs to her beta alone who will not remember the passwords five years later and those fics will be lost to time - anything can & has happened.)

Anyway let’s do this~ My possible first impressions of some GW characters!

Format:

What I Had Expected: what I thought the character would be

What I Got: what they actually are

Character Rating: completely subjective scale on how much I like the character

Heero

What I Had Expected: Protagonist with an inexplicable wardrobe who probably had Feelings™ once before Tragedy Struck

What I Got: what the fuck is his body even made of and why do his death threats start to sound cute after awhile? Also, I didn’t sign up for dead puppies but then again neither did Heero so I guess we’re both wrecked

Character Rating: 4/5, docked a point because he wasted a perfectly good pineapple

Relena

What I Had Expected: Naive Good Girl teaches the Protagonist the meaning of love and life

What I Got: Barbie Princess who will rule the world with pacifism and has questionable taste in men so we always know she’s only human

Character Rating: 10/5, best character development in the series and also Gotta Love Pink

Duo

What I Had Expected: fun, lovable character that will teach Heero the Power of Friendship and will die horribly mid-series

What I Got: fun, lovable character that teaches Heero the Power of Friendship who Survives™ at the heavy cost of being bashed (physically or verbally) by pretty much every other major character

Character Rating: 100/5, I hope he gets the appreciation he deserves and a very long, very nice vacation

Trowa

What I Had Expected: the Quiet One whose every utterance has deep meaning

What I Got: Clown animal whisperer who has a lot of skills that are in no way related to his background of mercenary work. Also, he’s the iconic disaster gay because he’s Extra and yet has perpetual RBF

Character Rating: I don’t remember and neither does Trowa

Quatre

What I Had Expected: the sweet character that goes through some Dark Stuff, mentally breaks down and then commits war crimes

What I Got: well well well, what do you know...

Character Rating: 5/5 for effort, but 4/5 for the Zero System effort

Wufei

What I Had Expected: chill but still practically a stereotype that drops valuable life advice when the Protagonist needs it

What I Got: zero chill hyena-terrorizer with a dash of misogyny so that I can never relax when he’s on-screen whose sole profession seems to either be trying (and failing) to kill Treize or passive-aggressively calling his allies stupid

Character Rating: 3/5, would have been better if he’d gotten his ass kicked by at least one of the women. if he were real we would be frenemies

Treize

What I Had Expected: narcissistic asshole master strategist whose goal is either Power or Chaos

What I Got: almost all of that except his goal was Peace and I spit up blood just thinking about how far his head was shoved up his ass

Character Rating: 1/5, was just happy he died tbh

Zechs

What I Had Expected: conflicted anti-hero who started as a villain in the beginning but eventually joins the protagonist’s side

What I Got: the exact opposite of that holy shit

Character Rating: 2/5, I wanted less of him and more of his girlfriend. Noin bb I can treat you better

The secret Santa exchange was over. Now everyone started to give their gifts to Leia. Coyote dashed for the tree and grabbed his gifts first. He held a box and two bags. He sat next to Leia and placed them next to her. “For you, Little V.” He pulled her in to him and kissed her head, “Merry Christmas, little babe!” He got Leia a 3D Star Wars lamp of the dark star, a diagram poster of an F-14 Tom Cat and F/A-18 super hornet. Leia’s eyes went wide, “Thank you uncle ‘Yote!” She jumped on him and gave him a hug and kiss on his cheek.

Bob wanted to go next. He asked Bradley to help him bring in a box from his car. When they brought it in, it was huge. He gave Leia the small box first. Inside was a small replica plane of Mav’s P-51 Mustang. Leia kissed it, “It’s like Papa Mav’s!” Leia started to unwrap the big box. She gasped and slapped back from the box, it was a mini piano for her. “IS THIS REALLY FOR ME?” She looked up at Bob with puppy dog eyes. “Is it really for me, uncle Rob?” He nodded and she started to cry. Bob went and held her, “Don’t cry vapor girl, you deserve the world. Merry Christmas, babe.” He wiped her tears.

Phoenix wiped her tears as she grabbed her gifts. She sniffled and chuckled. “I can’t top a piano.” She looked at Bob and laughed. She handed Leia a couple of bags and a box. Inside the first bag was a a custom made Leia Funko pop as a pilot. In the next bag was a Grogu snow globe. In the box was a sweater with Darth Vader’s chest plate. Leia squealed at her gifts from Phoenix. “Thank you, thank you, thank you Auntie Nix! Can I wear the sweater now?” She held it in her hands and bounced in place. Phoenix helped her put it on and placed a kiss on her forehead. “Muah! I’m glad you love it, Leia Rey.”

Fanboy danced over to Leia with his gifts. He handed her a big gift bag. “Merry ‘Sith’mas, Little Leia.” He winked at her. Leia looked at him with a big smile. “You like Star Wars too, uncle Mick?” She looked at him in disbelief. “I do.” He pinched Leia’s cheek. She opened the bag and removed the tissue paper. Fanboy got her a space mission launch kit and patches for her flight suit. Some of the few patches read, “WSO in training”, “Need for speed”, “Anytime Baby” and “Fleet Leader” Leia jumped into Fanboys arms. “Thank you, Uncle Mick.” She leaned her forehead to his. He kissed her nose, “You’re welcome, my little wizzo.”

Next was Payback. He had quite a few gifts for Leia to open. the first one she opened was a a cartoon portrait poster of Leia dressed as Princess Leia fighting a storm trooper. The next was a mini remote controlled BB-8. The last ones were little Lego figures of Star Wars characters. Leia looked at all her gifts. “Uncle Rue! Can we play with the BB-8 now!?” She held it up to him. He laughed and patted her head. “After you open your gifts from Santa Jake, we can definitely play with it, buttercup.” She jumped around, “Thank you, uncle Rue!” He squatted down and placed his hand on her hip. He kissed her cheek, “You’re absolute welcome, Vapor.”

Last but not least was Santa Jake. He grabbed his bag of presents for Leia. “Alright Honey, get ready.” Leia sat in front of him. The first gift she opened was Darth Maul lightsaber to add to her collection. The next gift was an airplane launcher gun. The next was a record player and a record of Harry Styles’ Harry’s House album. Leia freaked out at the album. “UNCLE JAKEY! OUR SONG IS ON HERE!” She held it close to her chest. He smiled, “It Is, Honey! Now you can dance to it anytime!” He pulled out the last gift. She opened it. It was her own fighter pilot helmet that was purple white and black that read “Vapor” along with her own aviation head set. Leia was speechless. She didn’t breathe. She was still. She started to shake with the helmet and headset in her hands. She sobbed. “Thank you, Uncle Jakey. I love you so much.” She collapsed into his arms. He held her close and kissed her head over and over again. “Anything for you, Leia Rey. Merry Christmas, Sweetheart.” He kissed her one more time.

After all the gifts were given to Leia, you and Bradley cleaned up the wrapping paper and started to sort her toys in her play area. You and Bradley thanked everyone individually for the gifts they all got for Leia. It was definitely known your little girl was loved by the Dagger squad.

Hi bb! 💗 I'm curious to know who are your top 3 favourite Deano characters and why? (To watch or read or write or just look at 😉)

Ahh, what a nice question, bb! 💛💛💛 I always need to form an emotional connection with the characters, so... while Deano is always nice to look at, this is really based on the character themselves.

This was honestly kinda hard to answer.

1. Anders Johnson (The Almighty Johnsons)

This was probably an obvious answer, haha.

I love his sense of humour and desire to have fun. I love how cunning and cynical he can be, despite clearly having his own ethics and hopes for the future. I love how protective he is of his family/Dawn - especially when they don’t realize/appreciate it. I love when he’s confident and self-assured, but I also love when he’s vulnerable/we see his pain points (which all seem to revolve around his bros and Dawn? This is a man who loves certain people quite fiercely even if it’s not a romantic love and even if it's not always realized).

I interpret him as someone who has spent a lot of his life appeasing people to get by (whether his toxic childhood, or PR work in general, or Bragi powered interactions) but that desires to be more open with a few closer people. He both “trusts” them with his snarkier side and uses it as a shield to keep them from getting too close lest they hurt him with rejection. A bit of “well I don’t even like you anyway so there” at times, even tho it’s bs lol and only Axl ever seems to fully buy into it.

I feel like he needs some unconditional love in his life because it certainly didn’t happen with his parents, and it’s a bit touch and go at times with his bros. (Though Olaf seems very unconditional-grandpa-love? Maybe that’s why he and Olaf get on so easily.)

I think of him as a character that both represents aspects of myself and aspects I find attractive in others.

So in short, he’s my favourite because I think he’s very lovable and interesting and in need of love and he’s in a story where I love the concept and all the characters and it’s very easy to write him and imagine lots of scenarios for. 💛 (Also I find him very attractive in this role, even if he hated those absolutely magnificently tailored suits.)

2. Iolaus (Young Hercules)

Also probably not much of a shock, given he's the other Deano I have a sideblog for! This was the first role I actually saw Dean in, and I loved Iolaus so much back when this was on air, so it was wild to realize this was the same person who played Anders after I got into him haha.

Iolaus is once again a very funny, cunning, cocky character who has some insecurities that I find rather endearing. Iolaus is very charming to me, with his playfulness and heroics. I don't think the other characters see him as heroic necessarily, but he clearly cares about his friends and has many moments of being just as protective of others as Jason and Hercules. 💛

Also I'm always impressed that Iolaus seems to be able to keep up with Hercules; I don't know that he gets enough credit for that. He also should, by all rights, probably get with girls easier than he does since he's such a flirt. (He does have a bad habit of lying, though... Insecure bb.)

Basically I want to be in that world and give him all the love he deserves! I think it helps that I like the universe/world building/conceit of the show already, so I enjoy all the other characters and how they interact too.

Plus: Leather Pants? Those curls? Come on. 😩

3. Jon (Pork Pie)

This is where I got a little stumped. I also considered Barnaby and Will Johnson for third spot. Even as I write this I'm second-guessing my choice haha.

I really root for Jon. He's a fuck up, but he's trying to fix it. He's trying to make amends, and he gets caught up in a crazy situation, but he's so good-hearted. He means well, and you want him to succeed.

I love that he's a writer, but like, clearly not able to write because of what's been messing with his head (and then the shenanigans of the movie). His behaviours are just so funny at times, like how he orders his burger, his rapping along to the radio, etc. Even though I feel like Jon isn't funny in the sense of like, trying to be funny, he's really endearing and makes me laugh.

Mostly I think what I like about Jon is how "soft" he seems. Like, not in a weak way; he certainly powers through a lot of messed up situations and pulls off crazy things! But the motivation for all of it is this deep love he has, and I feel like he shows that love to his cohorts as well. He can be quite vulnerable at times, even when he seems to believe he will be rejected. The way he seems so touched by every kindness, his attempts to be supportive, and accepting...

I just really want to give this man a hug, haha.

Although I haven't formally written for him, I have a sequel to Pork Pie outlined in my WIPs that feels a bit daunting; both because of the plot I have in mind and because of how great the movie itself is. I feel like there's a lot to live up to, there, so we'll see if I ever end up writing it out haha.

OMG WE FINALLY GET TO CHOOSE OUR MAN...and he says hes going to keep every promise he made to us in here 😭😭 (he betta!!) Also he kisses us FINALLY!

Alfie says he wont get in the way of your happiness...SIR WHAT??? how would you get in the way? I dont like you. and he and finn pull a fake mafia card and say Suresh needs to treat MC right or he'll have to answer to them...lol ok guys. Suresh agrees but im glad MC said she can look after herself (the one good thing FB did all game)

Finn's up next...and his speech is completely catered to Kat "She's had me wrapped up in her since day one." GAG. He couples with Kat. You forgot to mention the shower bits you tried to coerce me into like one night ago?

Alfie's last...and he chooses Dana. He says she's been a friend and he wants to see if they could be more.

I CANT BELIEVE THEY SENT LULU HOME...😭😭😭 so literally everyone in the final is an OG. That's lowkey kind of lame. Her exit isnt as long as Meera's many exits and im glad for that but Lulu deserved better.

LMAO Alfie said all the OGs made it to the final and MC said aren't you forgetting someone and I was like NO MC we aren't and Dana was like EDDIE...JFC already forgot about him 💀💀

Final dates...the girls are getting ready and they dress you in an ice skating outfit 🙄 and yes I did buy it 🙃 They ask you what type of date you want and based on this that's the date you get in the next scene.. they ask what you think your future will be like with Suresh and my MC said theyre in for the long haul. but this whole exchange is lasting too long...get me on final dates asap

I chose romantic date so Suresh and I got a cabana on the beach with a table laid out for a romantic dinner. (NO BOAT OF DOOM DATE - im thinking thats the adventurous one but will confirm later) Suresh says he'll give you anything and MC is going ham with suggestions on what she wants...a romantic trip around the world, a spa day, shopping (GET IT GIRL!) he asks if you see yourself being in a real couple with him on the outside. I said I do of course. He moves closer to MC and gets super melty talking about how much MC means to him and says she does strange things to him likeeee.....he pulls out the engagement ring. MC is shocked you brought it with you?! Suresh offers it to MC and says its not a marriage proposal but a symbol of exclusivity 🥰🥰🥰 WHEW I got scared there for a second lol. I wouldve said yes obviously but much too soon for a proposal
