Outside of what the movie is or isn't and how its first weekend went (if I fail in the best Indy style). I find it funny and to a certain extent irritating that they use the silly excuse of ""we have a bad box office because of the patriarchy and the sexists who don't want to see the movie."" And according to these "Directors/writers/actors" people, the general public, want and crave Woke content like this. but magically when it opens it crashes on the floor. (lest they realize that the plot is bad and that's why they don't attract an audience) The thing is that if the vast majority, as they say, crave these products with "inclusion," strong female characters, etc., at least on its opening weekend they should break it, and if the movie is simply bad, then lower numbers. However, that doesn't happen here. The move goes badly for them. The entire first weekend is going badly for them. and the numbers do not improve afterward, they remain in limbo. So what's up? Are there barricades of patriarchal sexists at the entrance to the cinemas, preventing passage? Not simply the people they say do not exist, that public that they acclaim does not exist. Nobody cares if the central character is more feminist, or more woman, or less, or if the plot vindicates rights or identities. If not, it should be good and really promise something interesting. And the reality is that for a while now the different studies have only focused on this. and not in providing good content. The plots are very weak, depending on the film they put more or less effort into the effects, but in general they are light and loose plots. And that is reflected in the results of these puchocleros events when they go like this. An example that the excuse they use does not exist is Barbie, seen equally by everyone. but that is a topic for another post. I just wanted to say this.

The Gunverse was already born upside down.
Tumblr media
If the poster seems ugly to you and full of random lights, let's see if it looks cool? well the movie is too. That would be one way to sum it up. And the first film from James Gun's Universe (if he himself said that this is part of his universe, although this will begin with Superman Legacy) is a clear example of where he outlines that universe. one full of old-fashioned silly cliches, jokes that aren't funny. Unnecessary awkward moments. and a blinded and already tiring vision of Latin American life. After the first half hour of the movie, it becomes difficult to want to continue watching. And the characters are not engaging. Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes does not finish closing, the actor who has a Latino last name and appearance, makes more efforts to show himself as Latino than in his role, being contradictory at times that he is acting. Be careful, the rest of the cast does the same and cases like that of Belissa Escobedo, sister of the protagonist, make the over-exaggerated character unbearable. The rest of the cast does not stand out, even though in the cast you have gems like Susan Sarandon who gives a performance in airplane mode. As for the content of the film, it is literally an extract from the Marvel formula, good costume cosplay looks, and a lot of content in the form of ester eggs but no content or explanations in the end. It is a movie that, if it were for Streaming format, would surely attract more. but not for the cinema. It's a crude attempt to make a Spiderman full of clichés and Latin. It is not surprising the result at the box office. And that is the profit line of the genre as long as they are committed to making movies like that. It will continue to plummet. Because people like Gun are not interested in making a good script and story, he is simply interested in fulfilling the agenda and billing (billing his salary, if the movie fails it doesn't matter). Snyder could have been criticized a lot, that he was very dark, that he killed Zod, that Martha, that Superman died. but the collection was not even remotely bad (except for those who wanted it to make the same or more than the UCM, which was already consolidated and at its peak), and much less the stories were. Gun, who prior to joining Disney / Marvel does not have a filmography with a single success under his belt, made 3 Guardians of the Galaxy films, the first of which was successful and was excellent in bringing a group a stranger. However, the work was not entirely his, but rather the Marvel creative team that was working at that time building everything so that the director could only direct under x patterns, the 2, which raised well but the critics did not support. and the third that had a modeled success, which was not a hyper hype on the part of the fans. , then he directed The Suicide Squad which, gentlemen, do not use the excuse of the pandemic, because other films were also released and none of them did as badly as this one. And it did poorly, because it was bad at times competing with Birds of Prey, then the Pacemaker series was the only real success, which worked because it was a series format and streaming, which who knows the real numbers. (if the streaming numbers are liars) Even so, he is the new CEO of DCStudios. An Oscar winner is not. or a long-time fan who has been in the genre industry for a long time. On the contrary, they looked for a mediocre director, good for controversy. who is addicted to bringing in random unknown people, for a reason. "They are cheap and easy to control." And Warner and Zaslav in Gun see that, the opportunity to lower costs to the extreme, cheaper salaries for actors and future directors. because we already know that the good special effects left along with Nolan and Snyder. In short, the so-called Gun universe was born with a failure that doesn't even serve as a weekend movie.

Optimus Primal!! version Transformers Rise of the beast. Although the movie is entertaining, I think that the most striking or for which many went to see it and I include myself, is the appearance of the Maximals, despite the fact that it did not go as expected and if he did not see Predacons, it was kind of removes illusion It is accepted that they had very good designs. Here my drawing of Optimus.

Fuck…………much more than an icon… the number of times I listen to his songs, but especially this one, it's impossible not to sing it while it's playing. He's gone and now he's going to rest, but his mark on the world isn't.

Oh Indy what did they do to you?
Tumblr media
I saw the movie for which I made a drawing of the classic Indiana, so the movie that is titled Indiana Jones and the dial of fate. Which is a movie that has the name of Indiana Jones, without having Indy in the movie. And what do I mean by this? well the following. The fourth film The Crystal Skull, he was told about everything and he called it the worst of the saga, not knowing that 15 years later we were going to have this… something that is even worse. And beware, it's not that the movie is bad, it's entertaining, it has a good rhythm of action and adventure, however, the movie, compared to its previous installment, lacks real spirit. Indy is not Indy. he is not the character, he is not the indiana we know. the movie is 15 minutes during the beginning where Indy is young through CGi and that's it. the rest is a story of a bitter resentful and sad old man who doesn't know what to make of his life. What was done to the character is disgusting. Because in order to give rise to a hateful character like his invented Goddaughter of his, they demolished the legend of Indy. It's not for nothing that everyone maintains, including me, that the saga ended in ""The Last Crusade"" is the last of the character, despite the fact that I consider that the fourth was not so bad. The difference between this fifth installment and the fourth is the spirit of the character and the essence. but above all the weight that the real motive of the plot has. despite the fact that with the intro that lasts about 15 minutes they establish the reason for the story. It's not really justified when you see Indiana's attitude towards what happens during the movie, an 80-year-old Indy who during the movie complains about his age and how his body hurts. Indy is a character with attitude, a broken face, who has no problem saying things and his adventurous spirit makes him do crazy things. Here none of that is present in this new film. It honestly makes me sad to see that they chose to send the character off like this. Not only because of the character itself, but because he feels an insult to all the work that Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Spilberg did with the original trilogy at the time. If giving a rating number was, I should give it a 4/10

It's not cinema, it's an insult.
Tumblr media
I am going to say the following about this thing called a movie. To all those who criticized and barded Snyder for ""Save Martha"" and this seems like a good movie. They definitely have an amoeba for a brain. This is not a movie, it is a constant insult that seeks to mock as much as it can of what was done well in DC, in an exaggerated way, so that whatever comes after that from now on with Gun at the forefront after the disgust of The Suicide Squad, less can not be expected. I painted it as something good, because that's the only justification I find for this movie. Absolutely lower the expectations of DC so much that whatever comes out feels like it's better. The movie you never know what you're looking at, if a Flash movie, a Batman movie, a superhero movie, or a silly movie from the early 2000s. or if it's a parody with little desire. Because it's not bad just because its effects are bad, it's bad because it doesn't make sense to be. the main engine ends up being an absurdity since it is not resolved, they open lines to things that are left loose, they bring the dead as cameos with a horrible cgi, actors who are alive because they are fighting, they recreate them with a cgi still More horrible, they make actors appear who never played a character, which, except for fans, nobody will understand why it appears in the movie. And to all this, add the silly almost cartoonish constant humor of the film. all the while joke after joke after silly joke that does not contribute. A movie that if it were a comedy in the 2000s I'd sure hit it because as a comedy it works, but it's a closure to a superhero movie. and it seems that he doesn't even bother to support that. Movie called """the superhero movie of the century, masterpiece, revolutionary""" how much did Warner spend for them to say that? is this revolutionary? This defend? Why is Gun behind and what Gun does seems cool to you? This is what the superhero genre should be? Closing, when Snyder said that the public was not ready for his vision of DC and that they did not understand it because they are not used to things like that. It literally fell short. Marvel lobotomized the public in such a way that any stupidity seems good to them. and something that comes out of there they do not understand or it seems bad to them.
Qualification? None, I don't consider this movie a movie. I recommend it? Yes, to go with an overdose of crazy brownies and laugh at an absurd comedy.

Did someone say Pizza? This year a new movie about the most famous turtles in the world is released. and it is that they return to the format from which, in my opinion, they should never have left. THE ANIMATED And I think that many movies with these characteristics, including superheroes, should not come out of this format. and that is due to the limitations that reality poses. although the cgi allows incredible things. the reality is that this is limited to the budget. and many times visible human errors that later, once the film is released, can be appreciated when editing errors are seen. The animation does not have that problem and Spiderman across re-affirms the same. Being able to play with such a number of characters in such a crazy way makes it clear that the field of animation is the right one for these fantasy stories. in which they can really let their imagination fly and capture the story as it should be. Without worrying about whether something looks more or less real. The brand new turtles are that the return to the bases of the story without wanting to show us something crazy and realistic as long as it fits into the plot. From now on, the animation that can be seen in the trailer is something beautiful. clearly influenced by Sony's work with Spiderman. and that gives a new life to the turtles that undoubtedly reminds me of the originals from the 80s. I leave you a drawing that I made with the classic designs for the game of Shredder's revenge. I should start making a fanart of these new turtles, what do you think?

Flash the movie, does anyone really care?
Tumblr media
Let's be honest, after years of ups and downs with this movie, ups and downs of scandals from the main actor who with a lot of money behind them covered up so that it doesn't get any worse. and the problems that Warner Media DC faces since they made so many changes in order to leave the Snyderverse in oblivion. Is there really excitement for this movie? Make no mistake I am not saying it is bad or will be. I think it has potential. and its director Andy Muschietti I think he is a great director and he deserves to do well with so many problems that this production had. However from the fact to the saying…….. the most optimistic figures forecast a $300M opening which is very difficult today for many movies. but a DC Warner product for years. Even so, emotion for the premiere is not seen or felt anywhere except the most die-hard fans. What are you waiting for?
