I haven’t posted in a while. For about 3 weeks I think. These 3 weeks were crazy, and I just didn’t have any energy to make posts.

Achieved (in the past 3 weeks):

3d Physics midterm passed

2nd Financial management midterm passed (the 3d one is coming this Monday)

2nd Entrepreneurship midterm passed

Case study on an Entrepreneur (interview + written report) done

2nd Asian history essay written and submitted (also Behind Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo is finished as the essay was based on this book).

Today I realised that I forgot to do my Management quiz, and this Professor doesn’t accept any late work, so I lost easy 50 point without any chance to make them up. To say that I’m upset is to say nothing. It was supposed to take me 20 minutes or even less. But it just totally slipped my mind.

Management group project — in progress

Entrepreneurship group project — in progress

Everything else are just routine loads of homework and my finals start in two weeks.

P.S. I watched Ada and the Engine in our uni theatre today and it was soooo good!! Honestly, I hadn’t known I can love theatre that much until I started going to our uni theatre :D

I’m baaack from my spring break and I’m already exhausted. The spring break itself was good and restful but the amount of homework that is due various days this week drives me crazy 🫠

• Financial management homework done ✔️ (it was long as damn hell and consisted of pure calculations)

• Physics pre-class module viewed and pre class assignment done ✔️

• Physics pre-lab done. ✔️ We have one of this “design your own experiment” labs tomorrow, and it is the first time I look at the requirements and have no idea where even to start. But that is a tomorrow problem.

I also had a meeting with my advisor today to revise my schedule for the next semester and wrote several emails to figure out an issue with one of my courses.

And I had a 30 minutes exercise time. (I’m kinda trying to establish a fitness routine and do some exercising every day).

That’s all for today. I can’t say that I anticipate tomorrow but not like I have a choice.

• 4 classes.

Entrepreneurship: we had a group-work day. We did some brainstorming for our end of the semester project. (Basically come up with a business idea and write a business plan).

Asian History: Guomindang vs CCP or China 1930s

Physics: nice and short. The prof let us go almost half an hour early.

Financial Management: quiz. Surprisingly easy this time. It’s the first time I got a 100.

• 1h 20min on Forest 🌳 to prepare questions for the interview (another assignment for entrepreneurship class) and send out an email to the interviewee.

Also, I went to talk about my essay yesterday. TA was really nice. There was a particular thesis structure that they were looking for and that my essay lacked hence B- She told me that I can come over with my next essay and get it checked before submitting it which I will likely do. Moral of the story — not sure about something — ask!

I wrapped up most of my work today, sooo I will officially be on my spring break after I’m done with my volunteering tomorrow ✨🎆 (I need it soooo much)

Oh and my friend gave me a birthday present. A little early because we won’t see each other throughout the spring break. The cute notebook on the first photo is the gift. It was soooo nice. He is one of my closest friends in uni and I was really touched :3

A little life update 23.02.24 — 02.03.24

• I got B- for my Asian History class essay. I was actually very enthusiastic while writing it and it was not the result I expected at all. Also, because this essay costs 25% of the final grade I most likely screwed up my 4.0. So, it threw me out of the rhythm for a few days and made me feel very unmotivated overall. But since now is not the time when I can do nothing I forced myself to get back to work and managed to get over it. Grades aren’t the most important thing at the end of the day. Gaining knowledge, being interested in what you’re doing and having fun are.

• I passed my Material Science final. Don’t know the grade but I got A+ for the course overall. This warms my soul.

• We presented a group work on Wednesday. Went pretty well. We did have some argument the night before (because there are people who don’t show up to the group meeting and then tell “we changed all these things” the night before). We got it sorted out more or less though and the overall presentation looked alright, so I’m at peace now.

• I do have another group work with the same people due Monday. For some reason people who wanted the intermediate deadline to be tonight are exactly the people who didn’t do a thing. How does this work? I’m done with my part though which is nice.

(Our group dynamic isn’t that bad though. The presentation went alright at the end. The person I’m working with on the section of the report assigned to us (current group work) almost done with his part too. The other two people were working on their parts tonight. The last girl is also nice but her time management sucks. So, I’m pretty sure this work will turn out alright too. I just don’t get people sometimes and hate group work overall. But I don’t hate my current group even if I’m whining)

• I got sick on Wednesday (it’s stress, really). So I had to skip my usual Friday volunteering at the theatre. Which I feel bad about because it is the second time in a month already. But I did feel shitty and had fever, so yeah.

It is not all that happened during this time, but this text is already a little too long. I’ll try to better keep up with my posts.

• 2 classes. My material science class is an 8-weeks class, so we’re having the final next Monday. That’s a little crazy.

• Financial Management midterm. It was much easier than I expected, and since I did it in the testing center the computer showed me my result right away. 98 ✨

• 2h on forest 🌳 today (a bunch of physics homework and some history reading)

My most popular post in here is the post with the noodle soup being first in the sequence of photos :D It wasn’t on purpose that time, but now it is lol. (But it does show my real priorities u know lmao) what can be better than food? 🍱

Not the most productive but really good day.

• 1h 56min on Forest 🌳 Completed my material science assignments and a part of physics homework.

🎥 I’ve started to watch “Beyond Evil” and I’m totally hooked. I binge watched the first 6 episodes and I had to make some mental effort to actually switch to doing at least some of my homework lol

I also went to see Jekyll and Hyde at my uni theatre. I volunteer at the scene shop, so I get free tickets to all of the performances. Which is very very nice actually. And it is always so cool to know that it is me who painted these benches that are now on the stage *internal satisfaction* It ended up to be a musical and it was absolutely amazing ✨

And I started Family by Pa Chin. Again, it is for my history class but I hope it will also be just interesting. I’ve just started, so I’m still reading introductions (it is like 4? 5? of them in there :D)
