Fulgur Flintmane

Fulgur left his home island after the volcano he and his family mined minerals and spell components in erupted. The first time Fulgur experienced the world above ground was during the evacuation. He marvelled at the bright night as the two moons chased each other across the starry sky. During the night he was presented visions of the planets’ dual moons and other celestial bodies by the goddess Sehanine Moonbow. After awaking he made the decision to leave his home in search of meaning to the visions.

Oleander Supports the Refugee Effort

A cult is attempting to resurrect a Draco-Lich and the avatar of Gruumsh is waging war against the Triad of Gods, slaughtering lesser gods as the equinox comes closer. Towns are falling and people are fleeing. Oleander has been away from his home and his Mother for nearly a year.

First his home fell to Gruumsh’s army early in the year while he was on the mainland serving as a Paladin to Ilmater. He received word that his Mother was safe and relocated to a neighboring city named Pearl Strand.

Oleander joined together with a ragtag group of adventurers at the behest of the region’s main city’s Order. Months passed as they tried to balance opposing Gruumsh, dealing with the unrest caused by the Dragon Cultists, helping the folks at the towns they rested in, and their own desires.

It was not long after facing off against a Storm God in an abandoned temple that was recreated in paintings that hinted at a connection to his Mother that they returned to the main city and learned that Pearl Strand had also fallen. Oleander’s wizard friend was able to contact her with a Sending spell and he learned that she was living with other refugees at a camp in a town called Clifnalia.

After being away for so long and after everything that he and his friends endured, he made the tough decision that he would not be as good on the front line as he would be leading the refugee effort and trying to get people to safety before the equinox. With a heavy heart he made his goodbyes and promises to see everyone again after the war had ended. He collected keepsakes in the moments before departing: A carved wooden fish from the slippery rogue; the message of hope, “Everything is Fine,” from the warlock unfortunate enough to have visions of the gods burned into his eyes emblazoned on his armor; Súrsuðum Agúrka, a battleaxe that he designed with his Dwarven cleric that can split into a handaxe; and the wizard’s weasel familiar … for a time at least.
