I see a lot of analogies of these lyrics, someone likened it to being the poet and not the king and while I do see it, I sort of disagree. In my opinion it’s being the soldier rather than the poet because a poet acts on their own making art to be seen and observed by the world. Being a soldier is about carrying out plans and fulfilling something for someone or for something greater much like the Angel in the lyrics. And not being a god is about not having someone do that for you - being someone where people naturally will do things for. Of course I say this as just how I took it, I’m not saying bother analogies are wrong.

I’m gonna say it. I wasn’t scared of Jarod because I trusted that mfer with my life. I just thought with all scene. Mans just a guy and when I saw him there was fondness. He did scare to the point of genuinely making me sigh and having to pause to recollect myself. Other than that. You just got have a little bit of faith made everything so much easier
