Not Cinderella’s type
Hold up, I know this might sound like a cringy teenage romantic movie that has been remade and remade into such a cliche. I thought the movie was gonna be bad, but when I end up crying I can tell you the movie is good.
Cindy is a girl who lives the life of a typical cinderella. The movie has a refreshing take on the fairytale. And in my opinion after watching this movie the original story just fades into the background. If you have ever suffered any type of abuse, especially emotional, this movie will be especially moving. The characters are realistic just like the whole storyline.
I don’t want to spoil too much so just go watch it and let me know what you think about it. I found the movie on youtube for free. Link

Jumaji a true classicer. With the new Jumanji coming up you need to watch this 1995 movie starring the movie god Robin Williams, god rest his soul.
For the people who don’t know this movie. Jumaji is a game like nothing you’ve ever played before. Unless you played a game that conjured monkeys into you kitchen and sucked your friend into the jungle, then it’s like the game you played. Robin Williams had been sucked into the jungle by the game when he was just a boy.

The day after tomorrow is a post apocolyptic end of the world kind of movie. Though, it is not even close to being a cliché. Okay the world is ending, but is different from all the movies like 2012. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy this movie, but I actually really did.
It features a baby Jake Gyllenhaal what more do you want?

Moana is one of the newest animated Disney movies. First of she’s not a princes, okay? Though pretty much one of the best role models a girl can have. Look at the grapics and the inprovements compared to other disney movies. The fact that she just randomly wears her hair up is an improvement in the appearance deparment. ‘Cause, yeah, girls do that. Wanting to get her hair out of her face while doing a task (maybe also aplyable for boys with long hair, not discriminating here). Plus the fact that her hair actually gets wet. These seem like minor improvements, but unconciously it makes the movie a whole lot better.
Now getting to the music, which is amazing! Well done Disney! Spot on! Beside the music, the characters are also amazing. Maui and Viana are incredible. Teens nowadays can kind of relate to them and I don’t think disney has ever been able to catch that as well as with Moana.
So what I’m trying to say is don’t sit there and start watching if you haven’t already. And if you have, maybe you want to watch it again?

If you’re a fan of the thriller genre you should watch Captivity. If you’re also a fan of the originals/TVD then you should definitely watch it!
I don’t want to spoil too much, so I’ll just say it’s about a woman kidnapped and she finds out she’s not the only one kidnapped. Daniel Gillies is in the other room.
It’s a good movie. With a unpredictable plot. Okay, I predicted exactly what would happen, but it’s not a cliché like a lot of movies.
It’s more like a psychogical thriller, but it is sure worth the watch!

Open Grave is a horror thriller that is one of a kind. Starring Joseph Morgan making it very enjoyable for all the TVD/Originals fans out there.
It’s about a group of people who wake up from the death finding themselves in the middle of nowhere. No memory, no people, no nothing around. During the movie they try to figure out why they were there, if they were friends and who has done this to them. The dead bodies surrounding the house makes everything just a little weirder for them.
It’s a pretty weird movie, but it has a really original storyline and thus you should give it a shot.
Note: I just love, knowing the Klaus Mikaelson character, how vunerable and sweet Joseph Morgan’s character is in Open Grave. Also he has an american accent in this movie, what more do you want? (Though I prefer his british accent)

Tell me how I die is a horror thriller movie about a group of kids that want to make some easy money. They are offered $2.000 for an experiment. This drug is to make memories reliveable, but instead they can predict the future.
It’s a very good movie that keeps you tense throughout the whole sit. Add a bit of love, testosterone, fear, pride and best of all, horror.
Last of all I’d like to take a moment to appreciate what time has done to Nathan Kress aka Freddy from Icarly. He makes his character very believable.

Jem and the holograms is based on an animated show. Mainly aimed at teens, but can be enjoyed by everyone. It's about a girl Jem who has an amazing voice, but who is really shy. Her sister secretly posts a video of Jem online and it goes viral. She is approached and together with her sisters she is offered a label. The music in this movie is fantastic! It's a cheesy movie, but still really great. It features Hayley Kiyoko who some may know for her music, together with her adorable friend stefanie scott.

Annabelle Hooper and the ghost of Nantucket is a mystery movie aimed at a younger audiance, but I (20 years old) still enjoyed it. The movie is about a young aspiring writer who goes to this island Nantucket for her vacation with her parents. Here she discovers a mystery and with her new friends she tries to unravel it. The young Bailee Madison is always great, but the other less known actors did a great job aswell. They really knew how to portray their characters 'type' without making it seem unrealistic. If you enjoy mysteries and detectives this is a good watch!

Mr. Right is an action comedy. It's about a weird girl and an even weirder man who happens to be a hitman. Except he kills the people who hire him because "killing is bad". They start dating and then things slide into trouble. A lot of cool fight scenes and great jokes. If you enjoy dry humor this is definitely a movie for you. Anna Kendricks performance is as always spot on and she goes really well with Sam Rockwell. They are a fun duo!
