listen, something that's very important to me and maybe sometimes i'll write an actual headcanon about it is that Samira's spending habits aren't as reckless as R.iot likes to say they are. Her bio establishes that she's been supporting her family since she was a teenager, when her parents couldn't due to their injuries. that's one of the reasons she enlisted for Indari's warband in the first place like. yes, it sounded more fun than what she'd been doing until now, but it also sounded more lucrative. & while I agree that money doesn't motivate Sam at all (she would do things just for the sake of doing them, because they sound fun or like they would be interesting stories), I also think it'd be more important to her to set her parents up forever, make sure they're okay and that her people don't want for anything, than it would be for her to spend money on herself. any payout Samira gets, most is still going to go to her parents. The rest, she'll carelessly spend on things that look cool, but her parents must be okay first.

hi! i was just wondering if you could write some headcannons for astarion, gale, halsin, karlach, and shadowheart about what they are like when you're pregnant/them as parents to a baby
So cute! I love wholesome family requests like these!
Tumblr media
Astarion
When you're pregnant: he tries not to be too fussy, but let's be realistic, he likes to cluck about and make sure you're okay. He gets a bit overbearing actually. "Should you be doing that if you're pregnant?" sort of thing, you have to wave him off a couple of times. When you're asleep you hear him whispering to the baby bump about how he's going to protect them, make sure nobody would ever hurt them. (Also when you're in your third trimester the two of you like to pretend that you've gone into labour to get out of social situations you don't want to be in. He's all, "we have to GO my PARTNER is giving birth RIGHT NOW" then when you're far enough away you burst into laughter)
When you've given birth: as an elf, he only needs four hours to trance a night, so he's often holding the baby when you're awake. Speaks in whole sentences, he has no time for baby talk. "babababa..." "Mm, yes darling, I'm just worried this fabric is too sheer for that particular design." Catch him watching you cradling the baby looking utterly smitten from the doorway. He's happier than he ever believed he could ever be.
Gale
When you're pregnant: constantly reading up about magic to make things easier, whether it's to ease back pain or make the delivery more comfortable. Likes to stay up late discussing baby names with you, Tara resting on your lap and cuddling happily into your belly. Also armed with facts about the growing baby is during each month of your pregnancy, lmfao.
When you've given birth: wants to be there for every milestone possible, so takes lots of paternal leave from his teaching job. Baby's first word is 'dada' and he goes crazy for it, he's so so happy. Casts little, harmless spells which make the baby giggle - summoning Dancing Lights above their head to soothe them to sleep in their crib. As the baby drifts off you can often hear him whispering that "the two of you have made my life complete."
Halsin
When you're pregnant: knows all of the natural teas he can brew to help you relax. Always offering backrubs. Talks to the bump a lot, falls asleep with you as his little spoon so he can have his hand on your belly, keep you both safe as you slumber. Waxes poetic about what your baby might look like, whose eyes it will have, whose hair. If it will take to druidic magic or something more scholarly? All he knows is that he can't wait to meet them.
When you've given birth: the baby is usually in a papoose around his chest (when you're not holding them!) He's totally caught up in how lovely they are, how the two of you made something so wonderful. When they get a little older he is a big fan of letting them ride on his shoulders, encouraging them to run their hands through leaves on the boughs of trees and answering every endless question they can think to ask.
Karlach
When you're pregnant: constantly offering to carry things for you so that you don't strain yourself. Talks to the bump all the time. "Come on, kiddo! Mama can't wait to meet you!" Loves to have her hand on your belly and gets so excited when she feels a kick! "We've got a little fighter in there, I reckon!" Every so often asks if you really think she'll be a good mum, a little bit of anxiety creeping in - but you reassure her she'll be just wonderful.
When you've given birth: always standing over the crib to look at the baby, she just seems to happy when they're peacefully asleep. Likes to hum little made-up songs to them when they're settling down for the night. If the baby starts fussing for no reason, she picks them up and bounces them around until they're both giggling wildly. She is most happy when she has you in one arm and the baby in the other 💕
Shadowheart
When you're pregnant: does a lot of healing magic to help you with your aches and pains which helps a lot. She gets super into pregnancy books and is constantly offering you suggestions for how to make things a little easier - maybe because she feels guilty that you're the pregnant one. Offers up lots of soft prayers to her goddess for a happy family and your good health. The two of you bicker good-naturedly about names but do eventually settle on one you both like - maybe after one of her parents.
When you've given birth: constantly checking in that you're alright and happy as a new parent, because she is. Always makes sure there's a bunch of night orchids in the nursery. When the baby gets a bit older and is scared of the dark, she makes sure to teach them the Light cantrip so that they always have a nightlight if they need. And she teaches them to swim, just like you taught her all those years ago.

The Way to His Heart [2]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: general!Seonghwa x wife!reader
AU: arranged marriage au (Joseon era)
Word Count: 3.4k
Summary: Life has been hell ever since your mother's passing many years ago. Despite being from a prominent family, you've never received the privileges associated with it. It only got worse with the arrival of your stepmother and her daughters. When the intimidating General Park was in search of a wife, your father seized the opportunity to dispose of you, simultaneously securing a connection with the powerful general—killing two birds with one stone.
Part 1 | Fic Masterlist | Part 3
Tumblr media
"S-sir, are you truly certain this is acceptable? This is worse than all the previous quarters we've arranged for your past fiancées."
Seonghwa grinned in satisfaction, "What do you mean, Jongho? This is perfect. She will take what she gets. If she's so unhappy, she can go ahead and run back to her dear father for all I care."
Like all his prior marriage candidates, the general had instructed his servants to ready accommodations in the least appealing quarters available in his estate. It was all part of his strategy to intimidate and drive them away. Nothing brought him greater joy than hearing their whiny shrieks of displeasure as they fled his home, rushing back to plead with their fathers to annul the engagement.
Given he had no say in this particular wedding, his only option was to make it as unpleasant as possible, hoping to scare you away. Surely, the words of the minister's precious daughter would carry more weight with her father and, consequently, the King.
Seonghwa counted on you to bring about the downfall of this marriage, "This should be enough to get the job done. Worry not, Jongho. She'll be gone in less than a day, mark my words."
As he observed his master striding off to his study, the assistant shook his head in defeat, glancing unsurely at the preparations made for the daughter of the Minister of Military Affairs. This particular room had remained vacant since the general first assumed control of the estate from its previous owner.
The room had earned the nickname "The Cold Palace," drawing parallels to the infamous residences of China's Forbidden City, where concubines who had made mistakes or fallen out of favour with the emperor were confined until their last days.
According to tales from the previous residents, the room might have even been haunted, with rumours circulating about the previous mistress of the estate taking her own life within those walls.
Leave it to the general to be fixated on the darkest forms of torment, truly living up to his reputation. Oh, he just couldn't wait to see the look on his new wife's face when she would eventually be ushered into her very own cold palace.
"Are the preparations to the master's liking?" Eunsook, the head maid, inquired of Jongho as she emerged from the quarters after ensuring that all dusty areas had been thoroughly cleaned.
The assistant nodded, his lips pressed in a firm line, "He's more than satisfied, but..."
The elderly woman raised a brow with a knowing smile, "But?"
Jongho sighed, "Is this really right? After all, she is about to become the mistress of this estate, and having her reside here, of all places, seems a little too much."
The two could only shake their heads as they cast a final glance at the pitiful excuse for a room. Having been left untouched for decades, the furniture within was mostly rusty or broken in certain places. While it was cleaned on the surface, who knew what sort of parasites or little crawlies had already made their home there.
Despite the possibility of the new Lady Park being a spoiled brat, as the general claimed, the assistant and head maid weren't sure if she deserved this kind of treatment.
"There's nothing we can do for her, Jongho. Now, we best get back to work before anyone hears us or master will have our heads."
The younger man nodded in defeat before they went about their day, uncertain if they should even be looking forward to the arrival of their master's bride on the next day.
"Lord have mercy on her poor soul."
They couldn't fathom any more humiliation that she had to endure beyond what she already had. According to typical traditions, the bridegroom was expected to visit the bride's home with gifts and a dowry, paying respects to the bride's ancestors before escorting her back to his home.
In an attempt to appease the general and ensure the wedding proceeded, the King had agreed to forgo all customary procedures, allowing the bride to travel to his estate on her own. For some mind-boggling reason, the minister had also agreed to these conditions.
"Your Majesty, if you want me to proceed with the wedding peacefully, I will, on one condition." Seonghwa boldly asserted in the assembly where details of his wedding were being finalised.
"What is it, my boy? Anything for you." The King cooed.
The minister straightened in his seat, clenching his fists in fear of the general making any unreasonable requests.
"Please do not expect me to follow through with any of the silly traditions. I will do no such thing. On our wedding day, I will be waiting in my own estate. Minister Jang can prepare his daughter's transportation. If that is viable, I will finally be married as you so pleased, your Majesty."
The King grimaced, throwing the minister a worried glance, "Seonghwa, isn't that a little much? Think about the poor girl—"
To everyone's surprise, your father breathed a sigh of relief, "Is that all, General Park? If so, I do not see much of a problem with it. My daughter is also not a fan of flamboyant celebrations. She favours simplicity, much like yourself. I'm sure she'll be more than happy with the new arrangements."
Sure, you tell yourself that.
The general grinned into his fist, satisfied. That would make her the laughingstock of the century. The King blinked at the unexpected response but beamed regardless, "Does she now? Oh, Seonghwa, I knew she was perfect for you!"
Everyone was happy with the outcome that day, save for you, the unlucky one caught in the middle of all the crossfire, as always.
Jongho remembered how all members of the general's estate servants had been utterly flabbergasted upon learning about the final decision for the wedding plans. They had initially geared up to work tirelessly for their master's first actual wedding, prepared to pour in endless efforts for the grand celebration.
However, they were left appalled by the news. Who would have expected the minister to be alright with such conditions?
Perhaps the importance of solidifying his connection with the great General Park outweighed his concerns for his daughter's momentary embarrassment.
On the day of the wedding, Eunsook stood steadfastly behind her employer, awaiting any orders he might have for her, "Master, is there really nothing else for us to prepare?"
More than the general, nearly every servant felt uneasy due to the lack of decoration as they awaited your arrival. To an outsider, it would seem like just another regular day. Despite the wide-open doors, the estate didn't appear to have much going on at all.
Seonghwa waved her off, sipping on his tea nonchalantly, "Don't make me repeat myself again, Eunsook. This woman isn't worth any of your efforts. Remember, I pay your salary, not her."
"R-right, master." She lowered her head, knowing better than to get on his nerves.
He sighed upon noticing the unusual group of servants lining up by the main hall as if waiting to welcome some distinguished guest, "Don't you all have better things to do? You're all dismissed; get back to your daily tasks if you wish to keep your job."
Shaking like leaves, they all turned to see the head maid nodding at them, signalling for them to do as they were told. Before they angered him any further, all servants dispersed after bowing in unison at their master's direction, "Yes, master."
"Perfect. The minister did mention his daughter favoured simplicity; I'm sure she'll love this." He grinned in amusement, looking forward to the new Lady Park's reaction.
Bowing one final time to your family, you turned and never looked back. Escorted by the kind elderly servant from before, you were led to the palanquin waiting at the entrance of the Jang estate, "This is your ride to the general's estate, young miss."
Surrounded by a throng of people eager to catch a glimpse of the minister's mysterious eldest daughter, you stumbled backwards a bit, feeling overwhelmed. The onlookers were excitedly exchanging the latest gossip about the unusual wedding, where the bride was expected to travel to her new husband's home alone, without a chaperone.
Stepping out of the estate for the first time in more than a decade, you didn't know what to expect. However, this was certainly not it.
As you navigated through the crowd, you reminded yourself of the role you needed to play. Outside the familiar walls of your family estate, you were recognised as the noble eldest daughter of Minister Jang, about to marry the formidable General Park.
You were quite literally the talk of the town.
"Smile, young miss." And you did.
You put on the fakest smile you'd ever worn as you passed by the prying eyes of the onlookers on your way to the waiting vehicle.
As you settled into the palanquin, you looked up to find the servant sighing, ensuring you were comfortably seated for the journey ahead, "Goodbye, young miss. None of us have been allowed to accompany you. You're on your own from now on. Hopefully, the people there will treat you better, the way you truly deserve."
The way you deserved?
You honestly didn't know what that meant.
All your life, you have only ever been treated like a waste of space. So much so that you have begun to believe that was just how things were meant to be. The prospect of being treated with any sort of decency was, at this point, foreign to you.
Nodding, you acknowledged the harsh reality imposed by your father, "Of course, I expected just as much. Thank you, by the way, for the kindness you've shown me. You best hurry back. Don't let them catch you near me, or you'll be punished."
She gave your hand a warm squeeze, "All the best, young miss."
You returned the gesture before the bearers lifted the transport and began walking.
"Goodbye." You whispered, not only to the servant but also to this life you were about to leave behind for good.
With only a thin layer of cloth serving as a curtain on the tiny window of the palanquin, you could hear every word of gossip uttered as you made your way out of this town and to your bridegroom's.
"Oh dear, what a poor thing. Imagine being wedded to that heartless general. He isn't even courteous enough to come take her home. How long do you reckon she'd survive under his care?"
"Can you believe the minister actually agreed to this? Letting his eldest daughter marry in such an undignified way? He seems desperate to get rid of her. Do you think there could be anything wrong with her?"
"She's quite the beauty, isn't she? What a shame no amount of beauty could save her from this ill fate. You guys wanna bet how long before she gets beaten to death by that husband of hers?"
You squeezed your eyes shut, pressing your palms against your ears. You had heard more than enough back home; not only did your stepmother and stepsisters insult you for fun, but most servants were also audacious enough to speak ill of you right in front of your face. You were sick and tired of people talking about you like you weren't there.
The continuous mockery and cruelty had worn you down, and you longed for a reprieve from this life of constant torment.
Why me?
Why is it always me?
Is there really something wrong with me?
There must be a reason why the whole world was constantly out to get you. Why did your mother even give birth to you, only to leave you behind in such a cruel world? What was the point of it all?
Thousands of thoughts raced through your mind, and you wondered if the general truly was as cold-hearted as they say. You pondered what he could possibly look like. They say he was as good as the devil incarnate, but could he really be worse than your family?
You were already convinced that every member of your family was the devil's spawn; you simply couldn't imagine anyone being worse than those people.
With all these thoughts swirling around in your mind, you slowly drifted off to sleep amid your journey from one hell to another.
Your eyes snapped open as you were abruptly awakened by a knock on the palanquin, "Lady Park! We've arrived; it's time to get off. Your father did not compensate us for escorting you inside, so this is as far as our services extend."
Lady Park? Who?
Oh.
It's you.
That's your identity from now on.
Rubbing your eyes, you moved to exit the palanquin. You were perplexed to find yourself at a considerable distance from the entrance of the general's estate.
"Forgive us, ma'am. We hope you can manage the short distance to the estate on your own. We're trying to avoid meeting the general, you know how it is."
You blinked, sensing the immense terror in these men. Park Seonghwa really was something else, wasn't he? Feeling sympathy for them, you nodded, "I... I understand, thank you."
They sighed in relief, scurrying to leave as fast as they could. The reality of your situation began to sink in, and you hesitated before taking your first step towards the looming entrance of your new home. The world you once knew had changed, and you were about to step into the unknown.
As you halted by the front doors, an employee of the estate quickly recognised your outfit, presenting a wild sight – a bride wandering about like a lost sheep.
Approaching you cautiously, one of the men inquired, "Miss Jang?"
You nodded in acknowledgement, "Yes, that's me."
Bewilderment painted his face as he scanned the area, "Are you here alone? Where are your servants and palanquin bearers?"
A gulp betrayed your nervousness, and you lowered your head in shame, "I have no servants with me, and the bearers have left."
His eyes widened, "What?" Quickly regaining composure, he apologised, "M-my apologies, ma'am! My name is Jongho, and I'm General Park's trusted aide. We have been waiting for your arrival. Please, let me take you to the main hall."
At first glance, the assistant sensed you were different from all the other noblewomen he had encountered. It astonished him even more to see you standing there all alone. What in the world was happening? Was the minister aware of any of this? There was no way it could be part of his arrangement. After all, this was his daughter, wasn't it?
As you walked through the estate, you realised the deep bows from the servants were unfamiliar to you. In response, you bowed back, only to receive baffled stares. Your shoulders were hunched, and your lack of confidence was evident.
The unusual exchange did not escape Jongho's notice, and he struggled to understand your odd behaviour.
Nothing seemed to make sense to him.
What was the minister planning? Were you really the eldest daughter? Surely, they wouldn't send an imposter, and even if they did, they wouldn't be foolish enough to make it this obvious. Besides, what reason would they even have to do so? It would mean deceiving His Majesty, the King, too, as the minister had indeed promised his daughter to the general.
As you reached the main hall, the assistant had no time to dwell on such thoughts as he presented you to his master, "Sir, the minister's daughter, your bride, has arrived."
Facing the back of a rather youthful-looking man was not the sight you expected. You truly believed the rumours about him being rough and middle-aged, but now you questioned their accuracy.
"You've made it, wife. At last, you're here." He muttered emotionlessly, moving to set down the cup of tea he cradled in his hands before. The sound of his deep voice sent chills down your spine.
With that, he finally turned around, and you wondered if this was the terrifying general that all of the nation feared. You had envisioned him in various ways, but this was not what you expected.
He was... beautiful.
His features were a perfect blend of masculinity and femininity. His body, too, was ideal, slender yet muscular in all the right places. His ethereal appearance took you by surprise. He was perhaps the most enchanting person you had ever laid eyes on. Granted, you hadn't met many people, given your confined life. Still, you didn't need a broad social experience to recognise that he was a sight to behold.
"Cat got your tongue?" He questioned, a raised brow giving his stoic expression an intimidating edge. You immediately grasped why people found him so fearsome.
Feeling as though you'd committed a grave error, you lowered your head and bowed deeply, your heart beating loudly in your chest, "I-I'm sorry, my lord. I shouldn't have stared; th-that was very rude of me. I thank you for accepting me into your household. I will do my best to make myself... u-useful."
Throughout your life, your family has consistently taunted you for being useless. Now, you wished to change that narrative. If you could somehow prove your value here, perhaps you wouldn't face the same mistreatment that haunted you in your old home. After all, you had only just arrived, you didn't want to be beaten to death so soon.
What in the world?
Seonghwa was rendered momentarily speechless. Undoubtedly, you possessed a striking beauty, the kind that justified your father's decision to keep you hidden for so long. But what puzzled him was the unmistakable insecurity reflected in your posture and the uncertainty in your words.
You were nothing like any of his past fiancées, and he struggled to comprehend the reason behind it. You didn't exhibit the expected haughtiness of a noblewoman from a powerful house. Your apparent indifference to his lack of wedding preparations irked him; he wanted a reaction from you but didn't get one.
What the hell was the minister playing at? Were you intentionally trying to be different? What kind of tactic was this? If the plan was to catch him off guard, it was working very well. This won't do; he couldn't be deterred so easily.
Finally breaking his silence with a scoff, he demanded, "Really now? Useful? In what way?"
You gulped, completely unprepared to provide any sort of elaboration, "I-I..."
He smirked, "Let me guess, your script ended there?"
The accusation threw you into a panic, and you gasped, denying any insincerity, "N-no, that's not—"
Waving you off dismissively, he said, "Save it. I won't buy anything else coming from you. Eunsook, take Miss Jang to her quarters."
Oh no, he hates me already.
« Preview of Part 3 »
"Is all this for me? Are you sure?" You asked in disbelief, gazing in awe at the quarters assigned to you. It was spacious, a far cry from the cramped space that used to be your prison cell.
Eunsook bowed apologetically, "Yes, mistress. I know it might not be ideal, but the master insisted on preparing this specific room for you—"
Shaking your head, you stepped inside, "What do you mean, not ideal? No, this is more than enough. Thank you so much." The room had actual furniture and was even larger than any of your stepsisters' quarters back home. Sure, it wasn't necessarily prettier, but at least it was practical.
The head maid struggled for words as she observed you admiring the interior of The Cold Palace. Were you being sarcastic? It didn't seem like it; you appeared genuinely content. She couldn't fathom why the scene before her eyes almost felt... heartbreaking.
"R-right then, let me help you settle in. Do you have a lot of luggage waiting by the entrance?" She asked politely.
You shook your head, "I-I don't... I'm sorry, this is all I have with me." You showed her the nearly empty duffel bag in your hands, leaving her unsure how to react.
"Gosh, mistress! You have absolutely nothing to be sorry for. Please, uhh... make yourself at home. Just call out to any of the servants around the area if you need any assistance. I'll be here to alert you when dinner is ready."
"D-dinner..?" You croaked, realising you hadn't had a proper meal in who knows how long. You couldn't believe dinner was being prepared... for you. Blinking back your tears, you bowed, "Th-thank you."
"Please, mistress! You don't have to thank me; it's only my job." Panicking, Eunsook bowed even lower before hastily leaving your quarters. She needed to talk to Jongho about your peculiar behaviour. Surely, she wasn't the only one taken aback by it.

Yandere Cullens Family's Reactions to You Attempting to Escape:
WARNINGS: Yandere, running away, mature language, manipulation, toxic relationship, gaslighting, etc.
SUMMARY: You tried to run away from your kidnapper lover but your attempt failed and now you have to face the consequences of your actions. Problem is, how will your beloved yandere react to it and what are the punishments that lie ahead for you?
AUTHOR'S NOTE: We had the Volturi guards and now, we'll have the Cullens! I guess, I'm in my active writing era for tumblr, so don't be surprised if I end up posting a whole lot more. It can be about Twilight or even other fandoms. I'll definitely be posting more for Miguel O'Hara too. Also, I was supposed to post this later on but it got put on queue and I didn't know how to put it out of the list, so I apologize if it seems a little rushed.
MASTERLIST: Feel free to check out my other works! :)
-----
EDWARD CULLEN aka THE MIND READER
Tumblr media
He's a mind reader. That is the only thing you need to know about him to know that it's useless to even try to escape because Edward is already reading your mind to see the potential plans of your escape. He'll do everything to ensure you won't escape and if you managed to find a single hint that could bring your hopes up to do so, he'll immediately eliminate it by fixing the problem. If you had somehow— no one knows precisely how —managed to find an escape, then just know that he'll find you soon enough. Not even just because of his abilities as a vampire since he can easily track down your scent with them, but also because well— he can read your mind. Edward will know where you desperately want to go to and he'll know about the decisions that you'll make as you try to escape. So, good luck but it's practically impossible, unless you managed to outsmart him by thinking of some sort of distraction. But yeah, it's almost impossible because he's constantly reading your mind! Very nosy indeed for a vampire but even worse as a yandere vampire.
CARLISLE CULLEN aka THE DOCTOR
Tumblr media
He would be disappointed. Carlisle isn't the type to get angry at people, but he would get disappointed in you when you try to run away because he thought you knew better than to do that. Honestly, out of everyone in the family, Carlisle is the yandere who gives the most freedom to his darling partner. Carlisle gives a lot of trust to you but after your attempt escape, which was most likely ruined because of another family member, he will definitely be keeping a closer eye on you. Carlisle will either give you a scolding after your escape or he will be quite silent while checking if you got any injuries while being outside. The latter is actually scarier than the first because it's unusual for Carlisle to be giving you the silent treatment and it would mean that he would be more cautious and give you less freedom from then on. However, instead of immediately locking you up in the house after your attempt escape, Carlisle will show you all the reasons to keep you in the house. It could be by showing you the wounds and deaths caused by a rogue vampire or even just by bringing you to the hospital to show you the potential wounds you could get by being outside.
ALICE CULLEN aka THE PSYCHIC
Tumblr media
Same situation as Edward. She's a psychic. Alice can easily check through her gift when you feel even the slightest want to go against her. She'll immediately fix the problem and spend more time with you and be much more attentive too. However, if you decide to rebel against her far too many times, she might just let you attempt an escape. Under her watchful eye, of course, since she doesn't want anything to happen to her precious darling but Alice is sure she can make an accident or two happen around you or maybe worsen your day with some horrible mannered humans to get you thinking that going outside and rebelling against her isn't worth it. She'll be faking her worries when you finally decide to come back home to her and she'll fuss all over your health. Alice might hide it from you but she is strategic and quite smart, especially when it concerne you. Your attempt had also given Alice a chance to guilt trip you into being her personal dress up doll. Not that you already weren't before, but things are certainly much smoother if you follow her order like a sweet darling right?
ROSALIE HALE-CULLEN aka THE BEAUTY
Tumblr media
Rosalie would be scoffing at your attempt. She's definitely annoyed and angry at you, but she is also blaming herself for it. Rosalie should have known you would try to escape and she probably had a feeling on that as well, yet she still decided to trust her darling. You could say that she considered it as a test to see your loyalty to her, one in which you had failed horribly. After she has finally calmed down from her anger, which could take a few days, she will return to you with a sweet smile and continue treating you as her precious jewel like she usually does. Now, you can ignore her attempts to win you back over with her charms and even insult her for it, but do remember that Rosalie could be the sweetest person in the world towards her darling, constantly spoiling you with affection and cherishing you with her gentle words. Her actions causes you to be awfully conflicted about your want to escape because why would you want to get away from someone who loves you more than anything in the world? Your doubts could be added if you had terrible partners in the past.
JASPER HALE-CULLEN aka THE SOLDIER
Tumblr media
Jasper will definitely be hurt. I mean, which yandere wouldn't feel hurt at some point if their darling tries to escape? But out of everyone, Jasper is the one who shows it the most. He's trying so hard to adjust for his darling on everything. He had made renovations to his home, specifically to accomodate to your taste and comfort. He had to endure more trainings to keep his blood thirst under control because he doesn't want to hurt you, and so much more. Jasper doesn't expect you to return anything, not even your affections since he understands he needs to earn it, but you attempting to escape is almost like you were dismissing all of his efforts in one go or even worse, you didn't give a shit about them in the first place and that was what probably hurted him the most. Jasper will probably get stricter with you after that. He had tried to be fair and tried to respect your space before and to be quite honest, he is the yandere who gives the most freedom to you after Carlisle. His only rule was for you to not leave him. But you had to break the rule and now, you'll pay for the consequences.
ESME CULLEN aka THE LOVER
Tumblr media
Esme has the same reaction as Jasper. She's hurt but she is also confused as well. Esme is really patient and she understands that you needed time and space to adjust living in her house, your new and sudden home that was completely foreign to you, and she's trying hard to get you adjusted and be as comfortable as possible. Like Jasper, she's doing everything she can for your comfort but unlike Jasper, she expects your acceptance in return. It's not as if she is expecting it in a cruel type of way with the mindset that she's doing something for you, so you should do something for her. No, Esme is nothing like that. However, Esme made sure she was doing everything right and she expected for your relationship with her to go more smoothly, not for you to suddenly escape. Your failed escape made her think she did something wrong, but she's confused because she had done everything right so far. Esme never forced you to return your affections, she wanted to slowly earn it, which is why after your failed escape, she had a talk with you and asked you why you tried to leave. Esme knows that she's flawed but she wants to improve herself and do everything she can to fix the problem but in no world would she ever let you go.
EMMETT CULLEN aka THE JOKER
Tumblr media
Emmett is silent. He was so fucking silent that it actually scared you more than if he got angry at you and he had never gotten angry at you either but it's probably much better than the silent treatment you're getting. No teasings or even some bad jokes. Heck, not even his cheesy pick up lines. Emmett still takes care of you and spend time with you during his silent treatment though. He still cooks meals for you and cuddles with you while watching a horror movie, which is actually his favourite activity to do with you, but he still didn't say a single word. And it was starting to get to you as well. You had no one else besides Emmett in the house, sometimes his "siblings" would visit, but they don't talk much with you and you were beginning to slowly grow insane from the lack of conversations. It didn't matter how long it took but after some time, you broke down and begged for Emmett to speak to you because if the silent treatment continued on, you were sure you would go completely insane. Emmett was surprised when you begged him but he was pleased as well. He was silent all this time in order to make him more tolerable to you, but Emmett also knew that he would eventually break you and hoped it would be enough to get you to want to talk to him.

Steve makes lunches for everyone, but he's one of those people who has a theme for every single lunch.
Dustin gets cute little sandwiches that have been carefully made to look like computers, cookies shaped like walkie talkies, and juice bottles that are decorated with the scientific equations.
Max gets grilled cheese cut into skateboards, a fruit salad packed into a little California-shaped box, a snack cake that has a cute little cake Steve decorated to look like that game in the arcade she refuses to let anyone beat her high score in, and she always gets a little note telling her she's amazing and "please don't beat anyone up today."
Will gets lasagna carefully cut to look like a dragon, charcuterie, and cookies that are shaped like lightning bolts. Steve used to include a drink, but then Jonathan mentioned that Will's favorite thing is chocolate milk so now he just packs some money to buy it cold from the lunchroom; he's the only member of the Party that gets a lunch AND lunch money.
Mike refuses to let Steve pack his lunch, but he doesn't complain when Steve packs him snacks for the day. Steve always packs his favorites, labels them with the name "Paladin Shithead," and sometimes hides some small candies in Mike's backpack.
Lucas gets two lunchboxes, but only because Steve is overprotective. There were times in high school where Steve passed out after practice because no one ever thought to offer him a snack, and Lucas was the most active BEFORE he joined the team. All of his food is curated to be sure he's getting as much energy as possible without making him sluggish and bloated. If Steve makes them look like jerseys, basketballs, tennis shoes, and baskets, that's no one's business but Lucas's.
Robin gets a lot of food that's been made to look musical, like ice cream, or, her favorite, like ears. She thinks it's hilarious that her little comment in Starcourt about her ears being geniuses stuck with Steve, especially now that she knows how difficult it is for Steve to remember anything (his concussions have not been kind to him).
Nancy and Jonathan both get simple lunches, everything looks normal, but their desserts are always decorated with guns and a heart with N+J in the center. Steve never really figured out how to act around the two of them when there isn't a crisis, but he loves both of them and keeps them well-fed until they go off to college.
Joyce gets a lunch delivered every morning, packed with healthy foods and labelled "For my real mom." It makes her tear up every single day, and she usually repays Steve by sending home the lunchbox full of copies of Byers family recipes, "for my darling son." They don't mention it to anyone else, but Steve makes sure to try each and every recipe even though he adds them to his own recipe box anyway.
Hopper gets a lunch full of little police stars, and his sandwich is shaped like himself, mustache and all. The first time Steve did this, he left the lunch on Hop's desk at the station with a note that just says "To Dad," because Hop has called Steve his son almost exclusively since 1984. The sentiment makes him go all misty-eyed, and because one of his deputies dared to mention it, the entire station knows not to bring up Hop's son as any sort of joke again.
Eleven's lunches are full of sweet foods. Honey ham, candied nuts, any new dessert recipes that Steve wants to try, they all go in her box. She gets normal, healthy food too, but she'll only eat it because Steve makes them look like waffles. (She likes being able to eat anything, post-Lab, but Steve dotes on her like she's the baby sister he never got to have) Her favorite thing, though, is the notes he packs for her, telling her that she is always going to be his hero and he's proud of her for pushing through school.
Eddie claims he gets the best lunch: hand delivered by Steve every day, full of hearty food to both help him heal up and put on some weight (Steve was appalled when he realized he could count almost all of Eddie's ribs, because of course Eddie is hypoglycemic). His desserts are always bat-shaped, both the animal and Steve's signature weapon, and Steve usually leaves a post-it note with nothing but a heart in the box. Eddie has collected every single one, he keeps them in a drawer.
Erica's lunch looks like she has a personal chef, each one with her initials on the entree. She boasts to anyone who is in earshot that her babysitter made it for her, and that he's the best cook in the whole state; as a result Steve's been signed up for every bake sale, auction, and school dance at the middle and high school.

So I had some time to think tonight at work (in between operating heavy machinery, swearing at the materials, and trying to keep the line running, fun times!) And I asked myself, "self, hypothetically, what might @inexplicifics Accidental Warlord AU look like in another generation or two - once people really get used to witchers being The Good Guys (TM) and helping out?"
And I was like "well, they'd probably get invited to social events - ooh! Who'd like which events best?!? What would that look like?"
Geralt, as we all know, detests anything too formal or Warlord-focused. He enjoys weddings and receptions, but his TRUE favorite is baby christenings. Seriously. Put him in a room with a tiny baby and he's happy as a clam. He'll happily growl away (or weaponize his puppy-dog eyes against) grannies, aunties, and other family members to hold the baby for as long as possible. He's also 90% of the reason that witchers are now rumored to be able to bless babies.
When Mouse and Treyse bring this new rumor to the council, everyone has to just sit. And process for a minute. Because what the ever-loving fuck?!? (Jaskier immediately writes the sweetest lullaby ever, "A Witcher's Blessing", and it is the ONLY song that Geralt ever sings in public, and only ever to babies and small children. Multiple women blame this for their immediate conceptions.)
Jaskier adores weddings and festivals of all types, and if a happy couple includes details of how they met and/or fell in love with their wedding invitation, there's at least a 50% chance that he'll show up to the wedding with a personalized love song, holy shit.
Ciri loves tourneys. Loves watching them, loves displaying in them, loves sneaking into competing in them (omg, heir, NO), loves WINNING them. She's a menace. She has various stealth coats of arms that she rotates between when she's not supposed to be competing, but her favorite is the battle goose. Obviously.
Eskel doesn't like crowds or being the center of attention, which are almost inevitable with public invitations, but he does enjoy being the +1 for his family. Several of his and their interests overlap, and even where they don't, he likes to see them enjoying themselves.
Yennifer becomes well-known as an extremely efficient - albeit terrifying - treaty negotiator. She'll talk to both sides, get a list of their must haves, deal-breakers, would-likes, and don't-wants (as well as - perhaps more importantly - the reason why each of those are on that particular list). Then she draws up a draft and viciously negotiates a compromise. She is genuinely surprised the first time that both sides thank her for her help.
Vesemir, with all his long years of teaching, loves visiting schools and seeing any sort of student performance or sporting event. Kindergarten to university, drama to music to dance recitals to track and field meets to football games to student symposiums to science contests to... He buys out bake sales and funds club field trips and donates several fortunes worth of antique knick knacks to various schools. He's invited as a guest lecturer, a commencement speaker, a competition judge, a referee.
Lambert and Aiden, at some point, discover bachelor's parties, call dibs, and never look back. People learn very quickly not to invite witchers to their stag nights unless they want the entire party to get horrifyingly drunk - but at least Lam and Aiden will make sure that everyone makes it home (or to the wedding) safely. Perhaps not soberly, or sans hangover, but definitely without major injury. (And if the bride asks nicely and the groom and friends weren't total jerks, Lambert can usually be counted on to make a hangover cure. He really is a softie at heart.)
Dragonfly and Serrit get tapped for the odd bachelorette party or ladies' birthday parties. Anything that falls under "I want to be able to drink and party with my friends without worrying about some strange guy hurting one of us." They are extremely protective and have both been drunkenly proposed to several times. (Livi finds this terribly amusing. Gweld just wants to know if he can watch.) Milena and Zofia sometimes go with them.
Milena loves going to wedding showers and baby showers, but outside Kaer Morhen, she has to stay in sight of Lambert or one of his brothers. Lambert's rule. (She got KIDNAPPED, okay? He's allowed to worry!) Usually she'll take Geralt (there might be babies! He's excellent protection!) or Eskel (he's very quiet and has excellent manners, and his signs are impossible to fight) for the more, ah, female-heavy events. If anyone asks, they're her brother-in-law and genuinely like spending time around kids. And very, very married.

loved the newest riddle fic, but what about vice versa? picture it, a reader from a, sort of conservative type family, who has never even had a boyfriend before and was raised to be all dainty and domestic, taught to bake and sew and whatever else. Riddle thinks shes just so cute and would love to marry her. and of course breed her up, shes so sweet he just knows she'll be a great mother, and hey, they're both virgins, brought up with the idea that your first time is the biggest thing you can give someone so wouldn't it be so romantic to give it to each other? He wants to be your first and last, and for you to be his. And a few weeks later when she's knitting little things for a baby, he's just so proud
AAAAAAA YES. OTL Riddle with a sweet, demure housewife who loves him more than anything!!! It’s what he deserves. <3 he would be so obsessed with you, adoring the way you’re so kind and gentle, already so motherly and he hasn’t even knocked you up yet. The both of you being shy virgins during your first time, but it’s okay because you’re together and he’ll make sure you feel good. There’s no point in using protection when he’s so determined to breed you full. :)
He admires you as you sit comfortably in your chair and knit things for the baby, your bump already so prominent a few months in. He can’t help but be nervous and eager, having done more than enough research to be prepared by textbook standards. You’re just so pretty and loving,,,, so stunning in your maternity wear!!!! You’re the best wife in the world.
Omg maybe he becomes a wife guy……… Riddle who very happily brags to his coworkers about you, sharing stories of how your cooking is absolutely delicious or how you seem to have such a stunning pregnancy glow. He just can’t be quiet when you’re the subject of conversation. He loves you too much. >w<
Soft, slow pregnancy sex with him……….. orz uuuwaa he spoils you and makes you feel like you’re the only one in the world, which is very true if you’re as obsessed as he is. It’s what you deserve!!!

kurooo hello!! the signora breeding fic was so good 😭💖 owo thank you for the delicious food and i have so many thoughts in my head.
Not necessarily a request, and its more of my own headcanons (i imagined fem reader with a cock but can also be gn) But you know who else would be very into breeding?
JEAN.
Her family was split apart, but she was still expected to be a noble and carry out her clan's legacy. So me thinks she'd also be expected to produce heirs. It's a big deal for Jean bc I imagine she'd want her own perfect little family with you and a child... Or two or three... I dont think she minds how many children you want as long as you keep her filled up.
also?? YAE MIKO.
Especially when she's in heat!! She's all red and sweating and panting, and she'll shoo away all the guests and the shrine maidens so she can tear your clothes off as she's begging you to take her right then and there. She'll use her tail to lock you in place as you bottom out inside her, she's been dreaming of having yokai pups with you after all.
Alternatively, i think g!p Miko would also be into breeding you. g!p Miko in heat would have you in a mating press all day and all night, painting your cunt with white. Don't even bother crawling away from her even when it hurts so bad from feeling so good, she'll just use her tail to make sure you don't get away.
and maybe... Eula. Never mind her crazy family, they're beyond saving 🙄 she'll just start a new family then. You better get busy breeding Eula then, after all, you think she wants to restore her entire clan.
--
That's all!! Also can i be 🐼 anon?
Oh my gosh anon this is amazing I WENT FERAL CAEIOFJEIQJ
I can see Jean being slightly hesitant at first due to her work schedule as she doesn't want to overburden you and ignore her own children. But Varka gives her assurance that she'll have a better workload and even get paid maternity leaves so she finally works up the courage and asks you to breed her full ;) Having already had a broken family once, she'd definitely want to keep this one together and I just know she'll be fully devoted! Now all she wants is for you to breed her full <3
Yae in heat is absolutely desperate and so feral, she honestly wouldn't care for the place she wants you to take her right then and there!! Bend her over the Sacred Sakura Tree at the Shrine and pound into her sopping cunt then fill her up with your seed! She feels so euphoric, her voice is hoarse from her messy moans but she can't stop! The fact that this is supposed to be such a holy place and she's committing this sinful act as the head shrine maiden herself.... oh, she couldn't care less when you are pounding into her so well.
G!p Yae wouldn't even let you get out of the bed that day! She's going to keep you pinned under her all the time and keep drilling her cock to fill you up. Her fuzzy tails will wrap around you all nice and cozily to keep your body close to her, she's going to put you in all sorts of positions just to push her cum the deepest in and ensure nothing spills out
Ahh poor Eula will want to have a nice loving family for once :( Sure her parents always meant well for her and raised her like a proper lady but she knows how it all could be better. Similar to Jean, she'll be devoted to her new family and make sure her children don't have to face what she did, and she trusts you to play an important role in that! It's likely going to be very vanilla and loving sex but it's going to last the whole night <3
And ofc, go ahead with that anon and thank you so much for the praise on the Signora breeding fic <33

this might not be canon, but personally i need furina to struggle a whole lot longer and harder with post-prophecy depression and mental illness. She's played the same tiring and painful act for five centuries, was constantly in a life or death scenario and had to hide her true self from the world the entire time and she won't just recover in a few years from that.
There's parts of her that will never ever be compatible with a simple human lifestyle, and parts of her that are irreparably broken. She isn't sure of her personality after everything that happened and the lie she had to live. She slips between personas and her archon temperament comes through like a defensive mechanism at any sign of conflict or trouble.
She's plagued by nightmares. Of the flood, of the trial, of the people closest to her conspiring against her behind her back, and of being found out in a million terrible ways. Of saying the wrong thing, making a wrong decision. Of being found out, of being found out, of being found out.
Lying or keeping a secret feels existential still. Being honest still feels life threatening sometimes. Putting herself first feels like putting both hands on a hot stove.
She doesn't live in the palais anymore, doesn't have to sit through trials anymore, but her heart and soul are still there. In her dreams she's still at the place she spent her entire life's memories at.
Yes, she can make new memories, but it'll take time. More time than she has, maybe, now that she's the closest to being human she'll ever be.
She'll never be human in the way the people around her are.
What sort of human has 500 years worth of memories after all? What human tells personal anecdotes and mixes up their centuries?
What sort of human can feel the absence of their divinity like it's a physical thing? A voice that will never speak to her again, or keep her alive? What human has no family, no childhood?
What human remembers so little, but still remembers death somewhere deep within?
She jerks out of sleep from it sometimes, gasping for air, and spends the rest of the night awake, almost frozen by fear. The flood is over, but it's hard to convince her racing heart that the danger is too.
Humans have entire family trees that go generations back, but Furina was put into this world a solitary creature, her blood heavy with sin ever since she turned human.
She owns a hydro vision now and doesn't know how to yield it, but the ocean still calls out to her some days. Sea creatures flock to her like they can smell she's not human enough.
She learns how to make little hydro companions for herself, so the darkness and emptiness of her apartment feels less ominous when she lies awake at night.
She can't turn her vision into a weapon quite yet, but when it rains the droplets seem to cling to her. She's watched them roll upwards along her arm, watched them gather in her palm like kin. She wonders if sea creatures flock to neuvillette in a similar way, or if his immense power makes them recoil. She wonders if elemental dragons can feel regret. Wonders if he, too, ever feels entirely foreign in that human body he was given. If he, too, lies awake trying to grasp faint memories of a past life.
She's extremely human in the way she's plagued by body pains from not being able to relax just one day in five centuries. The years catch up with her once she gets out of survival mode, and fatigue is a constant companion now. Sleep comes difficultly and getting out of bed was easier when the fate of a whole nation depended on it. On her. She's never lived for just herself before and some days she's not sure she wants to.
She did her duty and earned her retirement and the story turned out well, all things considered. She still has people by her side, some of them.
Still, she feels raw and tired and overwhelmed by the life lying ahead of her. As a human and as someone who will always be Something Else.

Deck the Halls (and not your partner) - part 4
Christmas Eve, and the day of the party.
once again I maintain the idea that lockwood has his tea as a Cameron special (for absolutely no reason, they've just merged into one being in my mind)
Word count: 3.2k
Warnings: swearing, family members being mean, lockwood never put his pyjamas back on, I should mention now that they're 18 for plot and ethical reasons, mentions of body image issues, innuendos?
series master list
(image credit to @sxnflowersa_tv on pinterest)
Tumblr media
When Y/n woke up the next morning, her first thought was that she was cold.
Her second was that she was in a double bed and not her usual tiny single in Portland Row, and the third was panic at seeing her boss shirtless.
Lockwood's blanket had slipped at some point in the night, and so when she sat up and stretched she was met with the sight of him sleeping soundly in the armchair, his pyjamas folded neatly on the small table next to him. How he wasn't freezing to death she wasn't sure, but then Lockwood had never made sense to her. One minute he was all smiles and charm and then the next he was saying something completely opposite into her ear, and she was left to figure out which version was the real Lockwood.
Today would be difficult, and they had to come to some sort of understanding if they were going to survive the hell that they would soon be entering.
Lockwood didn't look comfortable at all, with his neck at an odd angle and his legs curled up underneath him (he was bound to get pins and needles when he woke up), and Y/n felt the smallest pang of pity before a knock sounded on the bedroom door.
"Are you two awake?" Her mother questioned, likely wanting to know if they wanted tea. Y/n clambered out of bed and leaned against the door.
"Uh, I am," she whispered. "Lock- Anthony's still asleep."
"Right, well do you think he'll want a cup of tea? I'm heading down to make a pot now."
"Oh, yeah. He has it weird though, with sugar and honey."
"I'll pop those on the tray, then, and he can put in what he wants."
"Thanks Mum." She heard her mother shuffle and head down the stairs, knees clicking as she went, and turned back to look at her fake boyfriend. "Fuck," she said, a horrible realisation dawning on her. Lockwood couldn't be in the armchair when her mother brought in the tea, or she'd wonder if they'd had an argument. Walking over, she gave his arm a quick prod.
No response.
She tried again, harder this time, and when he stirred a little she cheered internally. "Lockwood?" she whisper-shouted, giving him a proper shove.
"What? What is it?" He was bolt upright almost immediately, scanning for any signs of danger and reaching for Y/n. "Is everything alright?"
"Uh... yes," she said slowly. "Mum's making tea, and when she brings it in you can't be in the chair or she'll have questions." She stared down at his hand where it was grabbing her pyjama top (an old oversized t-shirt), his knuckles white. "You... you can let go of me now, Lockwood."
"Oh. Right." He retracted his hand, but not before letting it hover in the space between them for a few seconds. He stood up, the blanket falling, and Y/n immediately turned around.
"Why are you naked?!"
"I am not! I got hot in the night so I took my pyjamas off! I still have my pants on, thank you very much!"
"Well put your pyjamas back on!" she shrieked, pressing her hands over her face (despite still having her back to him) and desperately hoping she could delete the image from her brain. She had thought he'd only taken his top off, but since he wore matching pyjamas the pile of clothes on the table had looked like one thing, not two. She could hear him hopping around while he attempted to quickly pull his trousers on, and after a minute or so he cleared his throat.
"Alright, I'm dressed." Y/n turned around slowly, scared that he was joking, and sighed in relief when she realised that he wasn't. "Such a drama queen," he muttered under his breath, clearly not wanting her to hear as he looked to his left with a red face.
"I am not a drama queen, Lockwood. If anybody is the drama queen it's you. Now get in the bed." She pointed at it, glare on her face.
"If you wanted me to sleep with you you could have let me do that last night," he smirked, and she threw a decorative pillow at him.
"Just get in the bed, Lockwood." She went to grab a second pillow when he wriggled his eyebrows at her, and he quickly stopped and pulled back the covers. When he was finally settled she climbed in next to him.
"Y/n."
"What?"
"You should probably come a bit closer." He wasn't wrong, since they were as far away from each other as they could get, but she stubbornly refused to cosy up to him when she didn't need to just yet.
"Hang on." She'd spotted the blanket still crumpled on the floor, and hurried to pick it up just as she heard her mother coming up the stairs. Chucking it over the armchair she rushed back to the bed, pulling the duvet over her just as the door opened.
"Fuck's sake, come here," Lockwood whispered, harshly tugging on her arm and then wrapping his arm around her waist. "Ah, good morning, Emma!"
"Morning! Just got some tea for you here," she put the tray down on Y/n's bedside table and paused for a moment as she took in the two of them in the bed. "How did you sleep? Hopefully you feel rested enough for today?"
"Oh I slept beautifully, thank you." Lockwood beamed up at Emma, and Y/n wondered if she knew that his fingers were stroking the skin of her stomach under her top where it had ridden up.
"I'm glad to hear it! Well, I'll leave you to it!" They both smiled until Y/n's mother was out of the room, but as soon as the door clicked shut behind her they shot away from each other.
"I hope we never have to do that again."
"We'll have to do it tomorrow morning, darling."
"Nobody else is here, you don't need to keep calling me that."
"Ah, yes. Sorry, Schmoopie."
"I hate you. I'm going to poison your tea." She was getting the mugs ready now, adding extra honey to one and pouring in the water over the tea bags.
"And I will happily drink it."
A few minutes later (she'd had to let the tea stew for a bit) she poured in the milk and handed over his mug.
"Did you add in the sugar?"
"Yep."
"And the honey?"
"You watched me do it, Lockwood."
"Right, yes. I did." He was quiet for a moment, staring into the contents of his mug. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," she replied, mild shock running through her at the sincerity of his gratitude.
They drank their tea in silence.
~~~
"So, just to recap, there are around fifty people coming over today?"
"Yep," Y/n said through a mouthful of cereal. "All extended family members and close family friends and their families. I've been thinking about it, and as much as it pains me to say it I think... ugh," she scowled into her bowl. "I think you're right abo-"
"Ha! Finally! I got you to say it! About what?"
"If you'd let me finish, you would know, idiot."
"Oh, yes. Sorry."
"I think you're right about needing to do a big speech to everyone all in one go about..." she gestured between the two of them vaguely, "us."
"Ah. Yes, it would save a lot of time, wouldn't it?"
"Hm, it would. And then we only have to remember things once really."
"Remind me again what the story was?" They were sat in the kitchen, the only ones up other than Y/n's mother (who was upstairs getting things ready).
"What was 8 months ago?"
"Why 8 months?" Lockwood frowned over his second mug of tea that morning.
"Because that's what I told Steph last night."
"Oh. Uh, April I think? There was that one job we went on in March, just the two of us. We could stick pretty close to the truth then if we used that as a death scare that made you realise that you couldn't possibly live without me."
"Wasn't the story that you realised you were hopelessly in love with me one day and asked me out, but I refused multiple times until eventually I gave in to get you to shut up?"
"Well, yes. But I just think that- morning, Stephanie." His smile was clearly forced, and Y/n realised with a start that she was beginning to be able to tell which of his smiles were real.
"Morning you two. Hopefully you didn't get too frisky last night after that adorable kiss under the mistletoe!"
"No, we-"
"Well, a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, Stephanie," Lockwood smirked, and Y/n rolled her eyes at his interruption. Her cousin was lapping it up, and after a few minutes the kitchen was filled with various members of Y/n's family as they all filed in, bleary eyed and reaching for tea and coffee. They would have to figure out their story while they got ready for the party, since they definitely couldn't get details straight with so many people in the room.
"Morning, Squeak," her brother Will murmured as he sat on a stool next to her at the counter. Y/n scoffed at the nickname, but there was nothing resentful behind it. "Sleep alright?"
"Yeah, did you?" He nodded in response as he started shovelling mouthfuls of cereal in, the bowl nearly spilling over with the amount of food in it.
"Lover boy didn't give you too much grief last night, did he?"
"No, he was alright."
"Hey, if you need a break at any point today come and find me, yeah? I'll fend off any inquisitive relatives."
"Thanks, Will." He was only a couple of years older than her, being the third youngest of her brothers, but Will liked to act as though he was the oldest of all of the L/n siblings. In fairness Tom was eleven and Sam and John who were thirty and twenty-eight respectively were rarely home or in contact with her, and she didn't have as much of a bond with them. Olivia was a year younger than Y/n, but since they had shared a room growing up they had fought consistently over the years about completely irrelevant things and barely talked outside of gatherings.
"Anytime. I think me and the boys were gonna take your lover boy away at some point to give him the proper talk, so if you can't find any of us later that'll be why."
"Please stop calling him 'lover boy', Will," she grimaced, not noticing Lockwood come up behind her.
"But I am your lover boy, darling." She whipped her head around to see Lockwood leaning against the counter next to her with a soft smile.
Weird. She'd thought he would be smirking instead.
Will snorted, then tipped his bowl up to drink the last of the milk. "You two," he said after he'd finished, "are quite possibly the most sickening thing I have ever seen."
~~~
"Is a suit too much, do you think?"
"Maybe leave the tie," Y/n called out from the bathroom where she was getting changed. She had long since pulled on the burgundy dress, but not knowing when Lockwood would be in a state where she could walk out meant that she had spent the last five minutes staring at her reflection in the mirror. She was absolutely certain that multiple people would make comments about her figure, or compare her to Stephanie, or both, and she was dreading leaving the bathroom. Then there would be the comments about her job, and how being an agent was a terrible choice and she should have gone into full-time education instead.
"Y/n? You can come out when you're ready."
She sighed shakily, taking one last look at herself in the mirror above the sink before unlocking the door and stepping out.
Lockwood was in one of his usual suits, pink socks poking out from under his trousers, and he was just sorting out his cuffs when he looked up and froze. When he still didn't say anything Y/n's mind started racing ahead to all the different possibilities.
"I look awful, don't I? I'll get my jeans and jumper and get changed, give me a minute."
"No!" Lockwood shouted, his arms outstretched. He hesitated, then spoke again, and his voice was back to how it sounded when he was being an arse. "No, don't do that, just... you look fine like that and we'll be late if you get changed now."
"Oh. Alright." She frowned, wrapping her arms around her midriff as she inspected Lockwood's outfit. "Wait, don't move," she called out when he went to move. Y/n walked over to him, then reached up to straighten out his collar. It had been sticking up, so she smoothed her hands over it to right it, letting them linger on his chest afterwards. He wasn't moving, and she was quite sure that he wasn't breathing either, and when she looked up at him she realised that she was holding her breath too.
They hadn't been this close since they kissed the night before, and then they'd had an audience.
Now it was just the two of them, alone in the room.
"Y/n?" Lockwood asked, his voice slightly hoarse.
"Yeah?" Had his face moved closer? Suddenly she could make out the individual colours in his eyes and was able to count the freckles on his cheeks. He licked his lips, tilting his head slightly to brush his nose against hers, and she felt her eyes fluttering closed.
"Are you two nearly ready? Emma needs help getting food and things ready for the guests!" A loud knock accompanied the shrill voice of Y/n's Aunt Linda, and the pair of them sprang apart, clearing their throats and avoiding eye contact. Y/n marched over to the door and wrenched it open, plastering a smile on her warm face.
"We're ready! Anthony? You coming?"
"Yeah, just... I'll be down in a minute, darling. I just need to use the loo." He flashed the two women a smile, then disappeared into the en-suite. Y/n could have killed him for leaving her alone, but maybe that was for the best given what had just happened.
"Come on then," Linda said, and ushered her downstairs.
~~~
Everyone was busy doing something, and everything was in complete chaos.
"Oh, that can go over there. Tom, don't put that in your mouth, please. No, over there, Ben. Tom! Not in your mouth! You're eleven, this shouldn't be difficult! Boys, please stop mucking about and do something useful! Over there- oh for god's sake, give it here!" Y/n's mother snatched a plate of food away from her husband, rushing between the kitchen and the dining room that was through the open double doors off to the side. The whole area would be brimming with guests in less than thirty minutes, and things were still being put out. "Oh, you're here, that's perfect. Where's Anthony? Never mind, no time. Here, you can put this next to the thingy there!" Luckily Y/n had grown up with her mother's distracted way of talking and knew exactly what she meant, taking the opportunity to run away from Linda.
The next ten minutes followed the same pattern of being handed things and told to put them in various spots on the table, and Lockwood was nowhere to be seen for any of it. Y/n was starting to worry that he'd flushed his skinny beanpole of a frame down the toilet.
"Where's your boyfriend, Y/n?" Stephanie asked, sidling up in a stunning silver dress that looked as though it had been painted on her.
"In the toilet. Are you gonna help, Steph?"
"Oh, you're... wearing that again?" she asked, ignoring Y/n's tired request for help. "Didn't you wear that last year? You've put on a bit of weight since then, haven't you!" She let out a laugh, and Y/n brought her arms around her stomach self-consciously for the second time since putting on the dress. Maybe she should have ignored Lockwood and got changed anyway. At least then when people complained about her outfit she'd be more comfortable in her own body. "Well, personally I think you should get it let out a little, Y/n. You do look awfully-"
"Beautiful?" a voice questioned from Y/n's right, and after a second someone else's arms were around her waist, pulling her back against a warm chest. "She does look stunning, doesn't she?"
"Anthony," Y/n breathed when he spun her around to face him, his hands holding hers tightly. He was smiling one of those private smiles reserved for the people he cared about, small and gentle, and her heart jumped in her chest.
"I... I suppose," Stephanie said, sounding confused. It was so typical of her to not think of her cousin as anything other than a way to make herself look better. Y/n barely noticed when her cousin drifted off, or when her brother picked up his camera and took a photo of the two of them framed by the lights that had been draped over the doorframe, since all she could focus on was the feel of her hands being held by Lockwood and the way he was looking at her.
"Aww, aren't they just adorable!" Y/n's grandmother Jean said loudly, catching the attention of everybody nearby. Apparently half of the guests had arrived on time (of course the one time that happened was the time she had to pull off a huge fake dating stunt), because the kitchen and dining room were packed with people. Murmurs of assent travelled around, and Y/n could hear a few people questioning who the tall young man next to her was, and suddenly her heart was plummeting rather than jumping, and she felt sick.
"Hey," Lockwood whispered, still smiling at her. "We can do this, alright? It's only today and most of tomorrow, and then we're back in London. It's really not that long when you think about it."
He needed to stop being nice to her, because it was freaking her out.
One minute he was saying she looked fine and not seeming to care much about what she looked like, and the next he was declaring that she was beautiful and stunning with such sincerity that she couldn't help but think it was real.
"So this is the boyfriend Linda told us about, huh?" one guest asked.
"Um... yes," Y/n replied, moving closer to Lockwood and curling into his side, trying not to look too stiff and petrified when his arm came around her side. "This is Anthony." She gestured up at him, feeling increasingly uncomfortable about the fact that around thirty people all had their eyes on her, and any one of them could work out that this relationship was a farce and completely destroy any good reputation that she had amongst her family.
"How did it all start? Go on, give us the story!" somebody called out.
"Yeah, we all want to know!" exclaimed a different voice. "Y/n/n's never had a boyfriend before!"
Y/n shared a glance with Lockwood, and he opened his mouth to speak.
Spider and Tuk being the bestest siblings ever and spider being the mvp big brother we all know he is hc's (modern + adopted spi au addition):
Before he could drive he would wait at Tuk's bus stop to get her off the bus. He insisted on doing it to "ease the workload on his parents" (since with Jake and Neytiri's work schedule, Tuk would have to go to an afterschool program and someone would have to pick her up) which it does, but it was really cause he liked to have the quality time with Tuk.
On their walk home he would ask her about school. He asks about what she did, if she brought anything home she wanted to show him (normally stuff from art class), if she did anything special or fun, that sort of stuff. He also stays up to date on her school gossip and makes sure no one's bothering his baby sis.
They hold hands the whole walk home, and more often than not he ends up carrying her or her bag for her.
Once he gets his license he picks her up from school and fills the 45 minute-ish time she would have normally spent on the bus and walking home at the park or getting ice cream or something else of the like.
When they get home he makes sure to look at anything she brought home. All the cool stuff first; art, school work she's proud of, a pretty pebble, or the occasional half wilted flower from the recess field. He makes sure to give all the praise and compliments possible, especially to the art and school work, cause he's supporting those skills early. Then he makes sure he gets all the homework, permission slips, things like that.
When his siblings ask why he does it, he says, "Who's gonna ask her to see what she drew during recess? Who's gonna ask if she did anything fun with her best friend? Who's gonna make sure she's not left out of the loop? We're a busy family, I don't want her getting left out just cause she's little, I'll ask, I like doing it anyway" he knows his family's busy, he knows Tuk tends to fall to the background cause she's the youngest, and that Jake and Neytiri are busy trying to keep them all afloat, so he takes care of Tuk.
He helps her with her homework and never raises his voice or gets frustrated. He sits next to her and they figure it out together.
He's always proud of her, even for the little things, so he's always giving her hugs and kissing her hair and other classic big brother things.
More often than not, Spider puts Tuk to bed. Either Jake and Neytiri give up trying to tame the "cranky banshee" (what Spider call her when she's tired) of a child and call Spider in, or she asks for him. He'll lay down next to her and pull her close and tell her stories until she gets sleepy and cuddled into him. Only then does he pull out the "put'em to sleep" combo, as he calls it; he hum to her (he hums "a la nanita na", like his mama used to hum to him, fight me) while rubbing her back with one hand and plays with her braids with the other. She's out like a light in a few minutes every time.
He often refers to her as a little banshee whenever she's being feisty or especially energetic.
There was an almost 2 month streak where Tuk would only sleep if Spider stayed in her room for the night or if she was in Spider's bed (which she preferred cause it was bigger and cozier). Spider didn't mind so he gave in almost immediately. Best sleep he got in years, even with the bony knees and elbows poking him.
Spider will sacrifice himself when she gets sick, opting to be the one to go comfort her, knowing he'll be sick soon after. He has spent many nights holding her on the bathroom floor and wiping snotty noses. (he always gets it and gets it *worse* but it's worth it for his baby sis)
Tuk always does he best to take care of him after. She'll sit in bed with him and pet his hair or bring him snacks/water. When she was little, she'd bring out all her Doc McStuffin's toys (cause she'd love Doc McStuffin's, again, fight me) and try and 'make him better'
Spider has the strongest cuteness aggression ever for Tuk, like, he wants to squish her and bite her and squeeze her and shake her, with all of the love in the world. He satiates himself by snatching her, flopping on the floor, and bear hugging her as tight as he can, with his legs too, and just rolling back and forth till she's giggling so hard she can't breathe.
He is deeply invested in multiple children's shows because of how often he watches them with her. (His favorite is Wild Kratts, Paw Patrol, and Ninja Turtles)
(this one next one is so random but Spi and Tuk have pastina lover vibes, again, I dare you to fight me on this)
Spider spent time in the system and fending for himself, meaning he picked up a lot of easy recipes, one of which, was pastina with butter, broth, and cheese. He passed this on to Tuk, who has now decided this is the best snack ever and asks him to make it all the time.
Spider works out, just so he can carry her around forever and ever.
He always make sure that he and his older little siblings always give time to Tuk and involve her in their play.
They go on day trips after he gets his license, sometimes just the two of them, other times with all the Sully kids. They go to museums and science centers and such. He again holds her hand most of the time, or makes sure that she doesn't get lost while playing.
Worries over her constantly.
They trade art all the time. He'll make her a knew piece of jewelry and she'll give him a new painting to keep in his room.
He has a picture of her in his wallet.
He takes so many photos of her, he's like a facebook mom. Lo'ak makes fun of him.
He's teaching her how to skateboard, cause she thinks he's the coolest ever cause he knows how to skateboard. He got her a pretty skateboard and hot pink gear (in which he went overboard in buying considering her basically bought her a hot pink suit of armor) and helped her decorate it. He also makes sure she's not picked on when they go to the skate park.
He kisses every boo boo.
He makes and (never ever breaks) lots of pinky promises.
they have a special handshake.
When the Sully's go out anywhere, you can tell when Tuk wants to go home, because she'll be in Spi's arms, cause he'd never turn down an opportunity to hold his baby sister.
They match hair beads. Spi will always have at least one that matches with hers at all times, and Tuk will have one of his on the braid behind her ear so she can fiddle with it.
Tuk always double and triple checks that Spider has his inhaler (he doesn't know how she remembers better than he can)
She wears his shirts to bed a lot. They're big and soft and who could blame her?
should I do more of these (maybe one for each sibling?)
NATLA Episode 2 Debrief (by yours truly)
Hi again! Here's episode 1 if anyone is interested. This is going to be another outrageously long post, just a tw
I absolutely loved the ominous start and then it's just:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They really captured the Zuko/Iroh dynamic the cartoon had in this scene. I hope they keep this sort of thing throughout the show. Also, side note, but for whatever reason Zuko seems a LOT more violent in this version. This child needs some serious therapy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I guess this is their version of the map joke, huh? Low-key disappointed but not as mad as I thought I would be.
Tumblr media
I'm not sure how I feel about the writers prolonging some of the conflicts that were resolved back in the SWT into this episode. I guess it makes sense that they would have to extend the drama, but I'm a little disappointed these thoughts didn't make it into the first episode. I'm glad they're included, but I think at this point team avatar had started to feel like family already in the cartoon, so it's kind of annoying and misses the mark a bit.
Tumblr media
Yes I'm so glad they put GranGran's blessing back in! I was really mad when they took it out, but this honestly feels more meaningful than it did in the cartoon. It's a precious cultural artifact rather than just a couple of blankets. This is similar to what I was mad about with extending SWT conflicts, but I don't have nearly as much of a problem with it, as it seems like they're carrying a little piece of home with them rather than just extra drama.
Tumblr media
The burial scene was very sweet and sad. It gave us a bit more insight into Air Nomad culture, and a sense of closure the cartoon didn't really give us. A+ for Gordon's acting as well (he is perfect for this part, even if he does still need some more acting experience)
Tumblr media
Zuko has officially mastered the "my uncle dragged me here and I'm an agnsty teenager" face. A+ to Dallas for this entire scene. I am absolutely LOVING the Iroh and Zuko dynamic. Never change (jk I wish you a wonderful redemption arc)
Tumblr media
Suki looks just as beautiful as she did in the trailer. Unfortunately can't say the same for the Kyoshi statue (I wish it had been made out of wood), but there is something to be said for the little shrines to the avatars instead of a few big ones. I actually kind of like that they changed that element, and I hope they explore it more in future episodes, because I assume some of the spiritualism surrounding them would have to be changed. Side note: but I've seen nothing of the spirit world so far and I'm getting a little nervous. I guess I wouldn't mind if they decided it was some long-lost avatar trick or is introduced in the NWT, but if they get rid of it altogether I'm gonna be pissed.
Tumblr media
I'm glad they decided to make Kyoshi Island a matriarchal society instead of having a male leader. It just makes sense based on the lore and I like to see more strong adult women than in the cartoon. Also Suki got a mom! Maybe she'll get some development too!
Tumblr media
This Aang speech was very in-your-face storytelling, but I feel like the whole show is gonna be like that so I'm just accepting it at this point. I think it stayed true to his character while getting the point across, and it also kind of helped his character compared to the cartoon. He's very emotionally open and has a charming nativity about him, but he's clearly trying to help. Loved it.
Tumblr media
He's so awkward I love it. This whole interaction was really cool, because it expanded on their relationship in a cool way. They're both struggling between doing what their parents expect of them to help their respective villages, but are being faced with a pull to the outside world, Suki with her "big heart" and Sokka with his need to protect Katara. Thishonestly gives more depth to their relationship and I don't mind the writers dragging out first episode conflicts if this is how they're choosing to explore them.
Tumblr media
Aww look at these cute little siblings. I like that the writers are giving them more time to progress from strangers to besties. Their interactions seem more natural, and Aang's grief more realistic. It's also great to once again see Katara growing more confident and powerful in her abilities. I love the smell of some good character development in the making.
Tumblr media
Look at her face! She's like,"I'm so good at flirting. Mother would be proud." Meanwhile Sokka's scared of her. Anyway I'm living for their scenes and they're making me giggle. (Despite Sokka's sexism being toned down it still exists to a lesser level and I love to see her beating his ass while he tries to flex)
Tumblr media
I love the new subplot! I love that flashback! I love this conflict! It gives more credence to his fears as a prodigy. Whatever writer came up with this deserves a hug.
Tumblr media
AHH the ship is sailing! I love Sokka learning to be more open minded! I love Suki learning to be more open-hearted! I love when characters in romantic relationships learn from each other! This is giving Suki and Sokka development in ways the cartoon did not without trying to play Sokka's sexism off as a joke and also giving us more screentime and when I say I love it I mean I am doing a happy dance right now!
Okay, so just a quick word on shipping besides Sukka because as Zutara trash I am legally required to do this:
Tumblr media
It seems like they are keeping the zutara hope parallel intact, with Katara and Zuko both finding hope in the avatar but in different ways. However, I don't think this really changes anything. So far, there's beven nothing to suggest they're going with ZK instead of KA, and I'm a little worried that they're trying to parallel Sukka and KA wwith the way they're setting up both girls as kind of a "teacher" to the boys in a way and giving both ships a huge amount of screentime in the same episode. Also, and I hate to say this, they might be attempting to fix KA by toning down Katara's anger and her "dark side". She didn't get angry to break the iceberg and they're eliminating her entire waterbending scroll plotline. They're trying to make them a better match for each other by watering her down and therefore increasing her connection with Aang and decreasing the chance of a future connection with Zuko over their anger and shared trauma. It's sad news that I didn't want to deliver, and I've seen spoilers that there is another ZK moment later down the line, but at this point, I think KA is a lot more plausible than ZK. *cries*
Tumblr media
In slightly less depressing news, they're inserting the avatar state plotline a lot earlier. This makes sense with the condensed timeline, and I think I like the way they're going with it so far. I hope they keep the concept of avatar guide intact, though, and I'm worried that they're going to play into more of a connection to all of his past lives instead of just Roku. I kind of hate Roku but I do think that's a major concept I don't want them to get rid of, and his inaction during a time of adversity mirror's Aang's own challenges with confrontation. Their dynamic is a good one, and I wouldn't be opposed to changed but I really hope they don't entirely throw it out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scratch whatever the fuck I said before. I'm back on my shipping bullshit I can't believe we got a BONUS FIGHT! Also kudos to whoever decided Zhao should burn the village instead of Zuko. I was always so pissed at him whenever I rewatched this episode and now I can sleep easy knowing it was that military dipshit instead of him
Tumblr media
I love Kyoshi to an unhealthy extent but I kind of wish Katara had been the one to go off on him. It would have seriously fixed things.
Tumblr media
COUPLES THAT FIGHT TOGETHER ARE THE BEST COUPLES CHANGE MY MIND
Also, side note, but I love the hair these in fight scenes:
Tumblr media
Most action movies hairspray the shit out of them but these actors are allowed to look a little disheveled while they kick ass. Huge thank you to whoever decided that more natural hair is superior cuz they are 100% correct
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE BONUS FIGHT SCENE IS NO LONGER COOL I REPEAT THE BONUS FIGHT SCENE IS NO LONGER COOL
Tumblr media
I think this was the perfect conclusion to Sukka (for now)! Sokka learned something so much more valuable and impactful than in the cartoon, in my opinion. His masculinity is handled very well in my opinion, and even if I would have liked to see him wear the warrior outfit, there's something really great about the way he continues to embrace protectiveness, a masculine trait, while having rid himself of toxic masculinity, such as not being able to learn from others. He's leaving a more open minded and humble person and I love the way they portrayed it.
Tumblr media
Okay the speech was a little on the nose but I liked it. One of the best things about ATLA was the way they executed Aang's childishness ending up beneficial for the world. I think the new conflict is expanding on that nicely while staying true to its roots. *pats writers on the head*
Tumblr media
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IS THIS REAL I LOVE IT SO MUCH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Tumblr media
IM TRYING SO HARD NOT TO THINK ABOUT THIS LINE AND HOW IT COULD BE ANOTHER PARALLEL TO K/A I HATE IT BUT I LOVE IT AT THE SAME TIME LETS JUST FOCUS ON SUKI SAYING SOKKA HELPED HER AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Also the fan was so cute. That last scene on Appa really wrapped everything up nicely. I like the way they tied in the conflicts between the siblings while engineering growth for Sokka.
Tumblr media
Daniel Kim delivered in his two seconds of screentime. Zhao was such a bitch but idk what else I expected. Can't wait to see more of these two bastards in future!
Anyway, to recap:, things I did like:
Aang's new conflicts
Sokka's mini arc
SUKKA
Expanding on Katara's PTSD
Zhao burning the town instead of Zuko
Zuko and Iroh's dynamic
Things I didn't like:
Katara's characterization
Lack of Aang's actual avatar guide
K/A hints and lack of zutara implications
Postponing the Zhao and Zuko agni Kai
Overall, I have to say I think that they're playing into the core themes very well while expanding on the characters. If it weren't for the whole Katara debacle this would be a 9/10 episode, but with the Katara debacle imma give it a 7/10. Still, I can at least understand why the writers made their crappy decisions, even if I don't agree with them. Hopefully certain things are fixed in future episodes, but as it stands I think I'll live (barely)
Hi! How about where Lena and reader broke up because Lena want to focus on being a CEO, fast forward in the future where they meet again and Reader has a child with her, whose also Lena's, and Lena tries to make up with reader and their child (Time where women can make a baby together, if you're okay with that)
A/N: Hey little beans!! missed me? Ok so a lot fo stuff has happened and I know I always promise I'm back, but all things considered I just gotta tell you, I'm just here, lost in space, I'll never be gone so at least theres that, so as long as you're here, I'm here, let's just enjoy our time together. Pls enjoy this little something!
Lena Luthor x  Fem!R//Word Count: 2, 546
-------------------------------------------------------
"Give our children your dark-bright eyes or your enchanted smile. So that even when we are gone, the world will find within them all the reasons I loved you." -Nizar Qabbani
Kelly put glass of water on the coffee table in front of you and sat next to you on the couch. She put an arm around you, rubbing your back and shoulders, trying to provide any kind of comfort she could.
It had been late at night when you had come knocking at her door. From the moment Kelly had opened it she knew something had happened. Your eyes were swollen?, red and you could barely say a word. You were holding a small bag of luggage beside you with a trembling hand. She practically pulled you inside by pure instinct without asking any of the questions that were swirling in her mind to put you in a safe space. It was her number one priority and she wasn't going to leave your side until she was sure you were alright.
When you were calm enough to speak, Kelly found herself shocked by what had made you come to her in the middle of the night. You and Lena had broken up.
Kelly had known you since she had arrived to National City to help her brother. It had been years ago but she still remembered you and Lena together and how happy you had seemed back then. You were probably one of the most estable relationships she had seen among her friends and it surprised her to find out how things had developed between you two to want to end it so abruptly.
Of all your friends, she was probably the only one who could grasp what you were going through and she promised you she was going to help you sort things out.
"Alex is out in a mission, she'll be back home in a couple of days so you can stay without problem. The spare room is ready." She said as she kept rubbing your back and shoulders. She could only imagine how tired yo would be after what had happened.
"I can't stay." Your voice came out hoarse and in a whisper.
"C'mon, you know I won't let you go like this. It's late, we can get to the problem solving tomorrow."
"No, I…I." You swallowed, gathering yourself as best as you could. "I can't stay in National City."
That took Kelly by surprise. "Let's not rush things, alright?"
"No, Kelly, I can't." You turned to look at her so she could see the determination in your eyes.
"(Y/N), I know this may seem difficult but you need to talk to Lena first. I think- ."
"I'm pregnant." You blurted, leaving Kelly with an open mouth.
There was a moment of hesitation in which Kelly didn't know what to do first. If jump in excitement about the new member of the Superfriends family or hug you because this seemed to trouble you more than she would have expected. Kelly opted for the second option and you let her embrace you, she pulled you into her arms as you let another handful of tears roll down your cheeks.
You would remember that first night after leaving Lena as one one of the most painful ones of your life. Your last conversation with Lena, the way you had left her apartment with a single suitcase in your hand, reaching for someone that could help you, and leaving National City behind to start a new life. Everything had seemed too dark and painful but you had something to pull you forward, someone that was going to change everything.
And so, years later you would find yourself stroking a little head full of black hair with your hand while you held his little body with the other against your chest. Little (Y/S/N), your son, was a little more than four years old. He was the light of your life and you loved him with all your might.
Since you had left National City, it had always been the two of you. From the nine months you carried him in your womb until that moment in your life, you had been inseparable. You had been afraid at first, for him and for yourself. Strangers in a new town, trying to make your own home, with no idea of how family was supposed to work. Things were not perfect, but he didn't need them to be and neither did you. You had made it and you had made something beautiful.
It was also true that you had your own regrets. There were moments when you thought a little too much about the past. About how things could have ended up if you had taken better, or less reckless, decisions. You feared the what ifs, the maybes, and the past that had been left that night at Kelly's door. And one particular ghost still haunted your mind and your heart.
Every time you looked at your son, you looked at her. Black hair, green eyes, and a young mind as sharp as a knife. Now I know whose genetics are stronger, you had thought to yourself with a smile so many times. Of course, if you looked at him you could also recognize yourself. (Y/S/N) was the little perfect combination of the best of you.
"She will have your nose, I'm sure." Lena had told you once, delighted at the thought of having a little you running around the house.
She had been sitting on the floor behind you, with her head placed above your shoulder as you both read the required papers to start the medical process that would make you both mothers. You had leaned back, humming in thought. Your fingers moved through pages and pages of information, trying to grasp as much as you could, amidst the distraction that supposed Lena's breath so close to your neck.
"What if she is a he?" You had questioned with a little smile.
"Then we'll have to think of more names." She had placed a kiss close to your ear and then had helped you read the rest.
It had been years since you had last seen her but there she was, with you, with him, even if you couldn't name her. You had said as much about her as you had been able to to your son when he was old enough to question you about it. Why he didn't a father? Or another mother? Two parents like most kids like him? Because his Mama wasn't ready to come to them yet, you had said, but that one day she was going to, and it pained you to realize how much you wanted for that wishful thing to happen too. And it was not long before it became true.
"(Y/N)?"
The phone had almost slipped from your hand after hearing her voice after so much time.
(Y/S/N) had turned his head away from the TV on the living room to watch you, trying to imagine who was talking on the other side of the line to make his mom make that funny face.
"Lena?" You had answered with a shaking voice.
"It's been a while."
The conversation started as it usually did, with people who used to know everything about each other and ended up becoming complete strangers. An exchange of words, questions and answers that seemed to lead to nothing but the abyss that now separated you from your past selves.
"I'm sorry." You heard her say on the other side with a hesitant tone so rare in her it surprised you even more. "I know I should've called you a long time ago."
"Yeah, you should have." You tried to keep your wounded heart from spilling as you looked at your son.
"Would it be too late if I ask , can we see each other again?"
You sat in the corner of the coffee shop with a warm cup between your fingers, sipping your beverage as you waited. You were nervous. You kept bouncing your leg and looking at the door until you saw her come through it.
It reminded you the very first time you had sat together, in that little coffee shop across the street from the office. You had been dreading the moment she would have to cross the door to meet with you, that if she even thought you were worth her time, after you had asked her to have a coffee with you. You could still remember the little smile playing across her lips when she accepted the invitation and the way your stomach had fluttered when she grabbed your arm, promising to met you after work. Time had passed and there had been no sign of her yet. You feared or a moment she had forgotten, and if that was the case you would not hold it against her. She was a busy woman, what was a coffee date compared to the empire she had to keep from crumbling. Still, you waited and, against all hope and all odds she had come.
Time seemed to freeze when your eyes found each other. She was all goddess looking even after the years you had spent away.
When you finally settled at the table, words seemed to be lost for both of you. Small talk was painfully dull. Another reminder of all that had been lost between you two.
"Lena?" You held your gaze towards her and finally asked her. A question too obvious, maybe, but necessary nevertheless. "Why are we here?"
She smiled, sheepishly and not without a hint of regret in her emerald eyes. "'Cause I was wrong".
The moment you had crossed her door to never come back again was the moment Lena knew what true and complete loneliness meant. An unyielding emptiness filled by shadows and rumors of what life she had with you and she had no one else to blame but herself. She had put her company above you, trying to make it the force of good the world needed and wanted, that she forgot you also needed her and wanted her and loved her.
And when Lena had realized her mistakes, when she had tried to reach you, to bring you back, you were so long gone and lost from her sight that it made her want to destroy everything she had worked so hard to build if that meant she would have you again.
"I'm sorry." Lena's eyes were full of regret.
"Don't be." You shook your head. "You were out there saving the world, trying to change your family legacy and I…I didn't want to hold you back."
"I don't think I would have done most of what I did if it wasn't for you." Her lips curled in a little smile. "We did many great things together."
"Yes, we did." The image of your son flashed through your mind and you swallowed hard. "One in particular, I think you need to know."
You stood in the sidewalk among the rest of parents that waited patiently for the school bell ring. You had not dared to answer Lena's questions about where you were going and why you were there after your encounter but you knew she had surely figured it out by now as you watched her fidget with her hands. Instinctively you reached for them, a gesture that had been so common between you, in an attempt to soothe her and yourself. You held hands as you kept waiting.
"How is he?" Lena asked, her thumb caressing the back of your hand in a nervous tick.
"He's very smart, first of his class." Lena raised her brows in surprise. "He likes big animals, wants a bike for Christmas, and wants to be an astronaut before becoming an Olympic athlete, in all sports." You sighed with a smile.
"Wonderful." A wave of warmth rushed through her, feeling herself proud of the little boy she was about to meet, and a moment of silence passed before she dared to ask. "Why did you never tell me about him?"
"I didn't know how." You took a deep breath. "Back then, you were so focused on being a CEO, on working for the good of the people. I saw how much it took from you but I also understood how big that responsibility was. It's true, what I said before. I didn't want to hold you back. I didn't want us to be a distraction, not particularly after our last fight."
"I'm sorry I ever made you feel that way." Lena turned to look at you with pleading eyes. "I never wanted you to face this alone and I'm here to amends…If you let me."
You couldn't say more as the bell finally rang. You could feel your heart pounding hard against your chest and you squeezed Lena's hand.
"Ready to meet him?" You managed to said.
"I am." Lena nodded.
You headed inside the building with the rest of the parents, ready to pick your son. You reached her classroom in no time, greeting his teacher and asking if your son had behaved during class. His teacher was all smiles when she told you your son had been in nothing but his best behavior. Then she called your son and you watched from the door as he stepped out of his little chair, rushing towards you. You picked him up, holding him in your arms, and thanked the teacher before turning around to leave.
You asked him about his day and the things he had learned that day. He replied with nothing but excitement and you were happy to hear him.
"Hey, I bring a friend today with me." You said after he had finished. "Would you like to meet her?"
"Yeah." He replied with a smile.
You walked through the hallway and there, sitting in a bench, was Lena waiting patiently for you. She rose from her seat once she saw you approach and her face couldn't hide her awe. As if she was seeing a true miracle, she didn't know what to do or what to say, until you were close enough.
"Hi." She said wearing that beautiful smile of hers.
"Hi." Your son responded with his little voice.
"My name is Lena, nice o meet you."
"You're pretty." He said, making you and Lena chuckle.
"What do we say when we meet new people?" You reminded your son.
"I'm (Y/S/N). Nice to meet you, Lena."
"Good boy." You said kissing his temple.
Lena took a look at him, seeing herself in that little face and there was no denying he was hers and yours. A pang of regret struck her heart for all the years she had not known about him. If she had only called after you, if she had called you, if she had tried to contact you sooner rather than later, how different things would have been for you three. But she was there, with you and your son, and that was all that mattered to her.
This time, she promised herself, she was going to do whatever that was in her hands to make it up to you and she wasn't going to waste another moment.
It all started with a road trip.
Nothing new, nothing special. Just a group of three teenagers driving halfway across the country to see their favorite musicians live in Nashville, Tennessee. It was supposed to be an amazing, unforgettable trip for the trio, a way to make timeless memories with their closest friends, make new ones and grow as people.
Of course, we all know how this ends.
"I am sick of this stupid freakin' house! I hate it here! I never get to do anything!" Loud stomps storm up the stairs as if they're trying to knock the whole house down, "I hate this family, and I hate you! You are the worst dad in the whole stupid universe!"
The bedroom door slams loudly, followed by angry yells and things being thrown as Thomas flinches, staring up the stairs.
His daughter's words sting as they ring in his head, and he swears he can almost feel his heart snapping in two.
"She doesn't mean it, hun, she's just angry..." You seem to read his mind once again, a gentle hand rubbing his back as you see his entire demeanor deflate before your very eyes, "Just give her some time. She'll come around."
He sighs, letting his head hang. He had always been close with Mariella, ever since she had been born. He was the one she'd fall asleep with, the one she'd stop crying for, and as soon as she could walk he was the one she'd follow around the house.
He loves his son as well, of course, his twins are his angels, but Nicholas was a Mama's boy through and through, and while they weren't distant by any means, Mari had always been much closer to her father.
With her knack for sewing and love of rock, the two of them got along very well, even despite their fair share of disagreements.
Maybe their closeness was why she assumed he'd say yes and let her run off 13 hours away from home with her two best friends for a concert.
But the thought of his sixteen year old daughter being that far away from home with two other sixteen year olds he didn't know all that well practically gave him a heart attack.
It didn't seem to matter now, though, given that he was sure the ache in his chest was far worse than any heart attack could be.
She doesn't come out of her room for the rest of the night, blasting her music loudly in some sort of retaliation against the two of you. It takes Hoyt beating on the door well past ten pm to get her to finally turn it down so everyone could get some rest.
"That girl is such a handful," You huff, closing your book and setting it on the side table, "She's got too much of you in her, that's for sure."
Thomas doesn't seem to react to your playful jab, turned on his side and away from you in silence.
"...Thomas?" You lean over, almost assuming he's asleep.
He sighs, staring at the wall intently, a hurt look plastered on his face.
"Oh, Tommy, come on now, you know she didn't mean it." You place a comforting hand on his side, slowly moving it up and down, "She's a teenager, all teenagers hate their parents."
He grumbles, turning towards the bed more.
You sigh, wrapping your arm around him and trying to pull him to turn towards you, "Come on, come here."
He rolls over with ease, settling into your side with a familiar comfort as he rests his head on your chest.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Thomas. She's just angry. At you, at me, at the world. It's tough being a teenager, you know." You run your hand through his hair as he nods, "You've gotta remember, hun, she's experiencing a lot of new emotions for the very first time. To her, being told she can't go off with her friends on a road trip is the worst thing in the world because she's never experienced anything worse. And that's a good thing. She has a good life, and she knows that. Just give her some time. She'll come around."
He sighs, nodding and seeming to relax as you explain it to him.
"...And you're not a terrible father. You're an amazing one, actually. Even if she doesn't realize it now, one day she will. Just keep doing what you're doing, love. It'll get better, I promise."
He closes his eyes, burying his face in your chest as he huffs a little, his eyes tearing up at your words.
His children are his greatest accomplishment, and he's always put 110% effort in to give them the best lives possible, and he always will. The mere thought of Mariella hating him made his heart shatter with overwhelming emotions, and hearing you tell him that he's a good father simply sends it into overdrive as he quietly sobs into your shirt.
"It's okay, Tommy, I've got you." You lay your head against his as he cries, working through everything that had happened today.
And, of course, you're right. It takes three days and a lot of the silent treatment from his daughters end, but soon enough she comes back to her father, apologizing for the things she said and did. He forgives her, to no one's surprise. In fact, you're quite sure he'd forgive her for shooting him in the leg for shits and giggles.
In the end, everything works out for the best. Her friends promise to tell her everything and take plenty of pictures to share when they get back.
That is, if they get back.
After all, two teenagers, going on the road all alone?
Well, we all know how that ends.
I uh, I need more of the Yandere Hazbin hotel x Adam PLEASE!!! Maybe how they came to love the little lamb, I mean we know how Lucifer fell but I’m also interested in the rest
Hm. Well, it would have to be short snippets because I don't have the stamina to write all of them in detail. Let's go!
Angel Dust:
Angel Dust began his infatuation when he came home from a long day of work and ran into Adam in the kitchen looking for a snack. Adam would immediately notice that he was hurt and ask if he wanted anything to eat. It would delve into Adam making sure the spider demon was okay, making sure he was eating, and giving him some pain killers.
Angel Dust had never really had someone look out for him like this. Sure, Charlie sort of did, but she needed him. His soul depended on him making it to Heaven due to her efforts. Adam held no such obligations.
He...cared. So, when Adam set a steaming chocolate chip cookie down with a shy smile and a cute little tail wag of his lamb variety, a spark erupted. It only grew from there.
Husk:
Husk began his infatuation when Adam fell asleep on a couch near the bar. He looked so peaceful. Innocent. Beautiful. Husk couldn't help but stare. Adam had always been cute, he wasn't blind, but seeing him sprawled on the couch, for anyone to see him, made Husk's heart beat faster then normal.
Then Adam woke up, yawned, and smiled sleepily at Husk. "Hi. How are you?" His head tilted and eyes sparkled. Yep. That did it. The obsession started then.
Charlie:
She began her motherly, borderline obsession when she found out how hurt Adam was. Her heart had always yearned for others but seeing Adam hurt this badly and to have seemingly no one care for him up in Heaven, well, it awoken a beast in her she didn't even know she had.
How dare they hurt him? Her sweet little lamb? Heaven didn't deserve Adam. She would make sure that they no longer hurt her lamb.
Vaggie:
She began her obsession with perserving the rest of Adam when her father-figure forgave her for Vaggie hurting him all those years ago. She sees this as her second chance. Her way of protecting Adam when she was too weak to stand up to Heaven.
It gradually grew into an obsession with making the perfect family with her and the hotel. She wants it very badly. And she'll go to any lengths to make it happen. With the hotel involved of course.
Niffty:
She was already semi-obsessed with him when he first came in, but she had her heart set out on bad boys. Until Adam hurt himself accidentally by slipping on her mopped floor, dirty foot prints littering the floor.
She was furious at first because she thought that she would have to do it all again. But, seeing Adam on the floor and begging for forgiveness with tears in her eyes made her heart move in a way she hadn't had in years. It was like seeing a kicked puppy. Or lamb in this case. She soothed his worries, dried his tears, and made sure that he had a nice cup of tea before cleaning again. But that was the start. The obsessive need to see Adam okay. She would even watch him through the vents and make sure he wasn't plagued with nightmares. Just to be sure. Not because she might want to see his tears again so she can be the one to sooth him.
Alastor:
His obsession started when Adam ate his cooking and genuinely loved it. The Radio Demon was a sucker for praise and admiration, but when it came from Adam, it was like a drug. Especially when he smiled.
He became obsessed with seeing Adam smiling. He cooked, bought gifts, and even stomached a few hugs if it meant he could his lamb's beautiful smile....that was his smile. His smile to protect. And Heaven forbade anyone to make Adam frown or even cry.
Well, his radio show had much more gruesome screams that night....
YANDERE NATASHA ROMANOFF HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
If you are her love interest and if she's taken an interest in you, my advice is to just accept her love and feelings. Trust me, it's for the best of everyone
As a yandere she is literally EVERYTHING: Obsessive, possessive till no extent, can be manipulative at times if you don't listen to her and heck, violent as well which I guess should not have been THAT much of a surprise
She's gone through so much of training in these years and she's actually glad she did since now she doesn't even have to think twice to put her skills to good use and make sure you're 'safe' from the world. Natasha is a VERY strong person so it's pretty much pointless to win against her in battle
As much as she's literally aching to have you by her side she won't kidnap you at first. No no, she'll give you some time, she isn't THAT heartless. She'll try the traditional way of courting you, hoping you'll fall in love with her and that sort of thing. Expect LOTS and LOTS of flowers, candy and jewelry
This woman here and read you like an open book no joke. And heck, she might even know you better than you know yourself. She studies and knows EVERYTHING about you and YES, that even includes that Tumblr and Wattpad account you haven't told a single soul about till date. She'll even hack into your social media to see what you're up to and if anyone was flirting with you on Instagram or Snapchat, welp... that poor schmuck is not going to see the face of the Earth within the next 24 hours that's for sure
She may or may not have stalked you at times 'just for your safety' of course and she might have installed little teeny cameras in your room so she can watch you when you're not with her just for her to know that you're safe. She won't watch you shower though, that's a no no. As much as she stalks the living crap out of you she respects privacy and she won't invade your personal space and boundaries too much
Remember that 'friend' of yours who was laughing and touching your knee 'by mistake' when your were working on a project together in your room? Oh wow... a BODY has been discovered! And no surprises on WHO killed that guy. What? He was too close for comfort according to Natasha when she was watching you through her camera and she HAD to take action! And besides, that moron should have known better than to touch you like that
Of course, innocent you won't suspect Nat AT ALL since she wouldn't know who he was and why some of your friends went missing recently. She doesn't even KNOW them (Or DOES she ;) ?) and so, you'll turn to her for help since she's your best friend. Of course, as much as Natasha is pleased and feeling on top of the world that you decided to come to HER of all people for help, she also feels a little guilty since she was the one who made you freak out and panic a little and so, being the really good friend she is, she'll whisper sweet words of comfort in your ear, some in Russian I guess and will hold you and be your shoulder to cry on
She'll convince you to move in with her to which you'll hesitate at first but when she tells you that you might be in danger and that 'someone' who got rid  of your friends could be after you next. She'll use that same excuse for you to be with her just so she can protect you and keep you safe. Crafty and smart
She won't exactly do anything to the other Avengers if they talk to you for too long since she practically sees them as family ESPECIALLY Steve and Bucky but if Tony tries hitting on you, with one raise of an eyebrow from Natasha will send him going back to working on his invention with Bruce
You'll find yourself to be depending on her rather quickly and she's really happy that you're depending on her for things. She'll start showing affection to you slowly and lightly at first and the way you react is just SO CUTE for her! Like she won't be able to control herself any longer when she sees your cute blushing and flustered face. You fuel her obsession every single minute you spend with her
She'll finally ask you to be hers and if you say yes, you'll get all her love and affection. You'll be the happiest person in the world and no matter what it is that you desire she will get it for you. Now, if you deny her you better be ready to kiss your freedom goodbye since it's going to go out of the window and down the drain even if you don't realize it just yet. She'll play it off like she's a bit disappointed and she's fine but inside she feels like she's breaking and her heart is sinking
Brings you something to drink later on 'as an apology' and she'll sneakily mix a sleeping pill or something to knock you out inside and BOOM! You'll be lights out before you can even say 'Avengers Assemble'. Don't be too surprised when you wake up in a really different room with your feet and hands tied up to the bed in an underground bunker or something like that out in the sticks. No one's gonna hear you scream for help
She'll keep you safe and sound and you're all she needs according to her. You will love her eventually even if she HAS to force you to. She wanted you for so long and now, she'll never let you go....
