Current Obsessions 🌸🍄🐸💜🌿🌼

(Haven’t done one in 3 years, I think, and I have half an ounce of energy right now but here goes)

Scavengers Reign… an animated science-fiction show about a beautiful but dangerous planet with unusual biological mechanisms… watch for free here

Winternight Trilogy… a historical fantasy series spun with Russian fairytales, old gods, and curious creatures… rent on Libby with a library card

The Boy and the Heron… I know the latest Ghibli got some mixed reviews, but I’m just giddy to have another super magical film from our favorite Japanese retiree, and understanding how this film relates to his legacy and his son makes it much more emotional for me… it will be on Max at some point or watch for free on fmoviesz.to

Southern Reach Trilogy… I realized that the Annihilation movie was loosely based off of these books, so I had to know more about this quarantined (but ever-expanding) area where strange and psychedelic phenomena occurs… these are probably also on Libby

The Scholomance Trilogy… re-reading one of my favorite magical series in which students navigate a deadly world where monsters and even their own school seem to be coming for them at every turn… the first audiobook is available for free with a Spotify premium account, or just find them on Libby lol

Dave the Diver… explore the deep seas by day, run a sushi restaurant by night, and more… I dunno, I play it at my sister’s house so go look for it on Steam

This last one is kinda random but I’ve been really into Ito En teas at the moment… I usually get the giant bottles of unsweetened green tea from my local Asian markets… I’ve also been drinking a lot of giant bottles of unsweetened Aloe because I’m a giant ball of inflammation but I couldn’t find my brand.

Update Notice 🌱

Greetings! I do apologize as I have been absent from here for quite awhile. Life happens, amiright?

I have full intentions of hopping back into the full swing of things, starting next week. I absolutely love the feeling I get doing readings for everyone.

There will be some other changes I will be implementing and format changes as well to make things flow smoother, not just for everyone else but also for myself so I don't get drained doing this.

There are just a few things that will be happening before I'm back to regular posting, which include but are not exclusively limited to:

Rebranding!

First things first - Witch & Whiskers is now officially Familiar Omens!

I have finished the new logo and have updated all accounts to the correct name. So keep a look out for the cat with a yarnball icon when watching for new posts! I am very excited about this rebranding and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.

Event Changes

The events I host will alternate weeks, meaning that one week will only host one single event each. For example; one week will be Tarot Tuesday, with the next week being a Pick A Pile and alternating weeks.

To help prevent energy burnout Tarot Tuesday will now be limited to 10 free requests each event. Once 10 have been reached, a notice will be posted that the freebies have been claimed, as well as a counter on each freebie claimed such as {Freebie 3/10}.

Once all freebies have been claimed I will still accept requests, though you will need to tip minimum of $1 to receive the card pull.

The only way to guarantee your request gets pulled is to tip when submitting. It is not required but is appreciated if you feel so inclined.

Tip FAQ's

I only accept CashApp at this time.

If you'd like to tip for a reading or Pick A Pile that you resonated with, I appreciate anything you feel called to send.

If you'd like to tip to get a Tarot Tuesday pull, when sending the tip please put "Tarot Tuesday" followed by the same exact emojis you used for your request so I can match it up when pulling cards.

I take a while to write my works, primarily because my works as you can see usually are longer than 1,000 words. That and the time take it takes to proof read everything, it piles up you see. So if you send in a request and i post another work first, please be patient! I'm still human and i need to take breaks too.

Again, i'm prone to burn out and i need some time between works to breathe. Sure you can send things twice, since tumblr can be glitchy and not send it at all, but please don't span me the same thing over and over again. It can get tiring so please refrain from spam.

🍄 Why aren't you updating? I might be taking a break!

If i ever start a series with multiple parts i might have time in between parts. Post works in between parts is fairly normal for me, so don't worry i'll most likely post the next part sometime soon! You'll see a discontinued mark if i won't continue it though, so just look out for that.

🍄 Why do you skip over words in you works? It's my brain

It has this tendency to skip over words that it sees as unnecessary. Please be patient when you see it, i re-read my works a lot before posting for this exact reason. No i don't know if it's some kind of disability just yet, i want to go to a psychiatrist one day, but after the pandemic, so i won't say it's anything for now in order to not self-diagnose myself with something i don't have.

What do i write for?

Again in my welcome post i have a list of fandoms that i am in, but the ones with circles are the one i write for. At the moment i primarily write for kny, but maybe that'll expand one day.
