He definitely has a complicated relationship with the rest of the sdr2 cast (ESPECIALLY those who had to go through trial 5, Nanami is still a little mad at him (from inside a tamagotchi)) so I kinda feel like it's a little easier for him to connect with the kids because they know him as the cool guy who let them jump off a palm tree once, they dont know him from the time they were all trapped on an island and forced to kill each other. (and yknow they know him post therapy)

If he gets a dog again he is 100% the owner who totally babies his dog. he makes fancy little meals to prioritize a healthy diet, takes them out for walks even in a hurricane (or he tried to until Hajime stopped him when they had to bunker in the hospital, he still took his doggo on a walk around the hospital to make sure they got proper exercise.

I made a TADC oc!! (Finally lol) at first, i wanted him to be a stuffed cat. I tried two different designs and decided that it wasn’t going to work at all. His name is Star, becuase of his star button, also he in general tends to dissociate a lot and “stare off into space” as some people put it. He maldaptive daydreams as a coping mechanism, and I imagine that he has DID (partially because i want to project onto him partially because I think thats realistic for him).

Howd he get into the digital circus though?? Id imagine that he came across the headset in the hospital, mental hospital. overall she isn’t that hard to manage compared to my other pokemon (especially my pidgey i caught back in kanto.. he’s so hard to deal with ಥ‿ಥ)

she’s also a shiny?? forgot to mention earlier but it’s pretty cool imo.. :0

Situations I want to see more: Give me day to day trash trio shenaniganary. I want them doing normal stuff: going grocery shopping, hanging out with the other bullets, pestering overhaul, just slice of life stuff. I’d also love his relationships with Toya and Tabe to be developed more. Like, yeah, they’re trash but with each other they’re trash with meaning (EEEEEEEE-*is knocked out) but I want to know the actual dynamics. Toya is supposed to be the leader, do they actual respect that? (See more on this in the head cannon bit)

Interesting AU: One where he’s in a bizarre interlinked family tree with like, 6 others from the series. This is one me and my bf made, I dubbed it the Sin AU because each person’s quirk is from one of the seven deadly sins: Midnight is Lust, Deidoro is Gluttony, Monoma is Envy, Hojo is Greed, Tiger is Sloth, and there were two more I can’t recall at the current time. It doesn’t really do much other than add another layer of depth to the character, but I think it’s cool none the less. (Also I wanna see how the family reunions would go lol)

Crossover: Give this man a cavern crasher, give this man a rock stomper, we’re going to Berk, Gadies and Lents. I wanna see the entire Hassaikai with dragons from how to train your dragon so bad!! (I actually have headcannons for everyone! If you want to know I’ll elaborate in the notes)

OTP: ok ok ok. It’s weird, I know, but you gotta hear me out on this one: Hojo and Pixie Bob. The reason I say this is linked back to the Sin AU (Ibara must have coded my iPad or something, it won’t let me type sin without autocorrecting to sun a million times) because I Headcannon Deidoro and Ragdoll to be friends/partners/no one can fucking tell, so because Ragdoll and pixie are best friends, and in that au Deidoro and hojo were brothers, plus Hojo and tiger were related, it just kinda fell into place. Plus Pixie is super desperate for a partner and I feel like Hojo gets zero bitches, he’s the human embodiment of the ‘No bitches?’ Meme. Anyways.

Other ships: Overhaul and Chrono (because under no circumstance will I ever split them up). Purely cos I saw a post saying that entire rant about the trash trio being useless without overhaul and them owing everything to him was said by Hojo, not Setsuno, and it sounding like he had a crush on him.

BROTP: the rest of the trash trio. Duh.

NOTP: anyone from the league except now that I think about it I can weirdly see him working with Magne? …hm. And any pro too.

Headcannon time!!!

1. While Setsuno is the ‘leader’ of the trash trio, and he’s good at it, don’t get me wrong, he can definitely strategise and knows what he’s doing, he’s terrible at just…existing day to day life, so Hojo typically has to help him. He’s his common sense, in a way. He’s to Setsuno what Tengai is to Rappa, just both are a lot happier with the arrangement.

2. He and Setsuno actually knew each other before they joined the hassiakai, not well but they attended the same school and had a few classes together.

3. He’s 22 years old and the oldest of the trash trio. He’s also the third tallest in the bullets at 6’1 (only Rappa and Katsukame are taller cos…yeah. Btw this is completely ignoring the canon evidence showing otherwise because Tabe is not allowed to be tall. He is baby and he is no taller than 5’3 and I will bite anyone who says otherwise. I’m only saying this because I want to be taller than at least one person in the hassiakai-)

4. Sad backstory time. He was orphaned: his dad cheated on his mum before Hojo was born and his mum died of a drug overdose when he was around four. He was then moved to live with his aunt who..wasn’t an amazing parent but was better than what he had previously. As he got older, about 16, he found out what actually happened with his parents, and attempted to find his dad. He eventually managed to get in contact with him- however his dad wanted nothing to do with him. This destroyed him and he attempted to end his life, however overhaul found him and took him in. A few months later, Setsuno joined, and then Tabe about half a year after that, and with that, the trash trio was fully formed.

Went with my mom on a cruise to Mexico :3. Aw, thank you for the kind words! I’m very happy that my Goji and Moth thoughts made you feel seen lol, I’m not malicious or anything to Mothzilla, but I feel like sometimes it is kind of discouraging when nobody else seems to share your opinion.

Now Rodan is kind of tricky to talk about, since most of the time I use their relationship for laughs and don’t really take it that seriously lol.

But anyways, I consider their relationship to go through a lot more growth than others. Pre-KOTM, Rodan was stuck hibernating in his volcano under the order of Godzilla and Mothra. Rodan was less than pleased about it, and considered both of them as old, stuck in their ways and overbearing. Neither had ever really interacted that much outside of orders being given. He wanted more freedom in his life, and to do what he wanted. He got a taste of that freedom in KOTM where he had a blast fucking around with Monarch. After Ghidorah forced him into submission, Rodan was more than happy to cause some chaos after being trapped for so long. He relished in what he was allowed to do, and because all Godzilla and Mothra ever did for him was keep him stuck in one place, he didn’t feel the slightest bit bad about attacking them. Getting to ragdoll Mothra for basically the entire fight did no favours for his growing self-confidence, until Mothra put him in his place and he screamed about it for probably 5 days. Afterwards, Godzilla was very, VERY displeased with what Rodan did to Mothra and that he helped Ghidorah, and there was a lot of tension between the two of them. It took a few years for either party to forgive each other, which, once Mothra came back, was probably helped by her, who was very forgiving towards Rodan since she understood his circumstances. Once the past was accepted as the past, then Rodan and Godzilla started to be friends. Not as close as Godzilla and Mothra, but they enjoyed their company, although it took some getting used to. Godzilla thinks of Rodan as young and in over his head, but recognizes his skill and more importantly, why Rodan did what he did, and he’s come to respect him. Rodan thinks Godzilla is old and egotistic and complains too much, but has come to respect and forgive him too. Rodan would never really fight Godzilla at this point now, since a. Godzilla would probably kick his ass, and b. Rodan’s come to realize what makes Godzilla a good king in the first place, although not without flaws that Rodan is quick to point out and make fun of. Most of their relationship is banter and smug quips and yelling. Godzilla isn’t as close with Rodan as he is with Mothra, and Rodan usually spends time hanging out with Barb. Bottom line, the both of them could spend all day complaining about the other, but do respect and like each other.

Also, if you wanna know, to me Godzilla is bi, Mothra is ace panromatic, and Rodan is gay and transmasc :)

(I've got no idea how okay you are with fandom related things on this blog so let me know if you prefer an alternative) !

anon ur too sweet but okay! i have so many thoughts so im gonna put this under a read more because genuinely im about to drop a novel LOL

but honestly for me bakugou's entire everything is so relatable and i've talked a bit about how i think he's a good representation of what npd and aspd present and feel like. like his whole journey of self realization and discovery, how he starts out so emotionally immature and reactive because he perceives kindness as a threat and needing to be saved as a weakness. i honestly love how such a defining moment for him early on is him needing to not only be saved, but to be saved by someone he always thought of as below him because he mistakes izuku's inherent kindness and drive to help as mocking derision and izuku looking down on him

when i was younger that mindset was SO ingrained into me. my parents didnt want to help me, they couldnt be bothered and didnt have time and so they framed me ever needing or asking for anything as this huge horrible thing. when i was indipendant and self sufficiant i got praised and rewarded, but when i was struggling i was either ignored because everyone assumed i could handle it cause i was always forced to, or i got punished and yelled at and derided. bakugous feelings about the kamino incident and all mights downfall i feel like really represented that kind of abuse and internal struggle so well. bakugous parents *yell at him* for getting kidnapped, they apologize for the inconvenience he brought to the heros, they make him BOW in APOLOGY *for being kidnapped.* because how dare katsuki need saving. how dare he make a hero fight and risk their life for him all because he got captured. why couldnt he handle it himself? why couldnt he evade them like everyone else? why couldnt he save himself from the leagues base? never mind that his kidnappers were adults and katsuki is 15, never mind that they were a (mostly) well organized criminal organization, never mind that they planned and orchestrated a multi step coordinated attack that specifically targeted him, never mind that some of the villains present were strong enough to take down multiple pro heros let alone a bunch of highschoolers, never mind that ragdoll, a grown adult pro hero with years of experience in the field also got captured and couldnt evade them. he got caught and all might had to sacrifice himself to save him. he failed and the consequence of him being a child who needed saving is his hero losing everything. that is the world bakugou gets raised in and that's his reality living with his parents. it's not until after he leaves and is out on his own at ua that he realizes how fucked up this is so no wonder katsuki hates izuku at first, he rejects izukus selfless kindness because its so utterly foreign to him. and this hits so hard for me too. when i first met my wife everything she did confused me. i was looking for the maliciousness in her actions and it was never there, her motivations were never selfish, she never punished me. i couldnt understand her at all and i ended up doing the exact same thing katsuki does. i pushed her away and abused the hell out of her because i was reacting defensively to what i perceived as a threat because i genuinely just did not understand how to recognize genuine selfless kindness

i really loved the culmination of all that they've given for bakugou to, his apology to izuku was so perfect and beatiful and his acknowlegement and true understanding of who izuku is has just been so good. i also love the framing that katsuki doesnt have his real True "rising" hero moment until he finally understands what it means to want to save someone. not just win, but save. its just so perfect to me and i love his growth and i just cant help but absolutely love him. okay but on to the next cause i could literally rant about bakugou for hours kajshdklasdjkhas i saw ur second ask so i'll save my feelings on dabi for that one cause i feel its more relevent! but trust me i have a lot jkahsdlkasdjkawd as for the structure and philosophy, i honestly really liked what bnha was saying in the beginning. i liked that it questioned what it meant to be a "hero" in so many ways. with the stain arc and endeavor there's the exploration of what happens when u have someone who does societal good but personal harm? how can u claim someone a hero in public when in private he rapes his wife and beats his children. is that man still a "hero"?? what are we, as a society, willing to turn a blind eye to for "the greater good" and is that moral?? should people without the "proper" motivations be given the title of "hero"?? what level of selflessness is required to truly call urself a "hero"?? u have the question of nana. an objectively "good" hero and person, she gives up her son to protect him and do whats "right", and we call that a good decision, but is it? her son clearly thinks differently. what is the difference between a sacrifice and abandonment? did nana not abandon her son? did she hurt him? is his pain and the chain reaction of harm and pain it caused nothing in comparison to nana's role and duty to society as a hero?? and then with all might and izuku, characters who are *are* genuinely selfless and the embodiment emotionally of heros and what people think of when they think of the perfect hero. but at what cost does that come? do all might and izuku not matter? do the people that love them and want to protect them wrong for holding them back from self destruction in the name of others? where is the line between a savior and a martyr? what does it matter if ur a true hero if ur dead? do their lives matter less than the lives of the people they save? when ur so busy saving everyone else, whose going to save u? how unbearably and inhumanely lonely is it in the number one spot? and should we even care? i honestly really love the league of villains and to no ones surprise i probably would fall closer to their side than anyone else because i think the questions they're asking are important. the league is made up entirely of abused kids who no one came to save. they got left to the wayside because in a broken system, people will fall through the cracks. and they want to know why, society tells them its because they werent worth saving. their quirks made them born "dangerous" and "weird" and "suspicious" and so the biological determinism that drives their society said they werent worth saving. and now they're going to burn it down in response. if society wants to reject them and leave them for dead, then they'll reject them first and lash out and take power and control back for themselves rather than lay down and die

i think thats a powerful and very understandable message. unforuntately i do not think horikoshi is smart enough to actually answer any of the questions he's posed and i feel like the later half of the manga is really suffering for it and i absolutely hate the direction things are going now that stuff is heading towards wrapping up. i do not have high hopes for the end of the series and i dont think we're going to get a satisfying answer to many of those philosophical questions which is a damn shame
