AJJ - Bad Things

#pretending like the lazy background actually has meaning part 5000 when will they stop? never. #I just. hate backgrounds #so this is actually inspired off of the arg Froglord wanted to make #there was a group of 4 of us and I. as like the only one with writing experience as far as i know. was tasked by the froglord - #- to basically write the story of the arg. like come up with the concepts in stuff #and i had a great time! came up with Lost Co (cause that's the 4 of us' group name) and a basic storyline and even a character #and then i am told 'Ok so now we are going to kill All Of Them' and 'its your fault for getting attached to the character' #(not by FL. FL wanted to kill off everyone which I HEAVILY DISAGREED WITH but other person in the group was just kinda rude?) #and I go HEY Killing all of the protags for shock value is Never a good idea No Body Likes That. #No Body Likes A Story Where The Good Guys Lose And Theres Nothing They Could Have Done About It #(okay well maybe SOME people do but personally it always felt so pessimistic and discouraging and quite frankly Lazy.) #and you know. no one was listening to me. they go Ok We Are Going To Kill Everyone and Your Character Is First #Because theyre likable and prepared which will make it twice as gut wrenching ^.^ #and I go You Know What. Fine. #AND I BACKED OUT OF THE PROJECT #I mean I just stopped messaging the group chat #never said 'im out' or anything just. stopped taking initiative and messaging #and wouldn't you know it. NOTHING HAPPENED AFTER I LEFT #no one messaged anything tried to plan anything nothing #I dont LIKE to take pride in spiteful shit like that but. Come On. Its a lil ironic. #look man you dont listen to the writer see how far you get #anyways Ive let Lost Co sit and broil in my mind for a while now and i still rlly like the idea #so this is what that is Semi based off of #okay that story makes me sound kind of like an ass. and I was. kinda an ass. but like its not That dramatic I'm serious i literally just #stopped saying 'ok here are concepts for the story here's a few ways we can pull it off what do u guys think any ideas/addons?' #and no one ever messaged the chat again #yeah after my last message- which was that my dad thought it sounded like a bunch of kids took too much lsd cause FL said the forest they #were trapped in was like 3 acres on the outside but 5 on the inside which is. A very very tiny patch of trees to get lost in- #the last message was a kinda uncomfortable mini vent of a friend faking 'the final ouch' as my teacher called it #I love my little guy Lost Co iPod from Kansas ^.^

I made a pillow!

It took four months of non-stop cross-stitching, but I finally finished a pattern I bought from @8pxl a little bit ago, and tonight in a bizarre burst of productivity I finally sewed a back to it and stuffed it into a cute little pillow! It ended up being pretty much perfectly sized for a neck pillow, but I'm a bit worried about it getting dirty that way.

I highly recommend the patterns from 8xpl's shop, there are SO many gorgeous ones to choose from. I might end up getting another one soon o3o

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

maybe unpopular opinion but probably one of the least useful pieces of advice I've ever got as an auDHD person to the question of "how tf does one make friends" was to go and join clubs/groups that do hobbies I enjoy. Not only does this not actually answer the question of how to make friends (yknow, how to approach people, how to start a conversation, how to appear friendly enough that they don't immediately reject you for existing, how to actually keep them as friends later on, etc), but also the chance of me choosing to force myself into the discomfort of "making smalltalk with random strangers" is absolutely nonexistent when the alternative of engaging with a hyperfixation is not only socially acceptable but even encouraged

And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I #can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud.. #but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone #said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects #the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

With the completion of Tyrannian, the (pre-conversion) line-up of colors for the Centibyte is complete!!

I can't believe I finished 54 of these- 12 have unique poses, and 6 more involve heavy lineart edits or complete relining of the base pose. I had a lot of fun figuring all of them out, and it's really satisfying to be able to see them all together now

#the straightforward recolors were so long ago now... except for disco lol #back when i started I hadn't figured out how to easily shade complex patterns; so by putting off disco i saved 2018 me a good couple hours #my art #centibytes #neopets #My original conception of the Centibyte as post conversion Neopet added an additional layer of challenge to this project #because their design does NOT fit easily into a 150x150 square
