Did you see the video of that one particular 1d man sauntering through the airport with his entourage. And all the women saying “ooooooh he owns the place and he knows it he’s a king he’s so hot” go around with their permanent “oliv*a wil*e in a narcissistic asshole” tags because she gets stalked by paparazzi walking down the street and is proud of her own work. Interesting to observe lol

request
summary: you join chis on one of his interviews with the cast and one little detail calls you out
pairing: chris briney x fem!reader
warnings: none! fluff
wc: 300 (not sure)
just a small little thing hope you enjoy. not really edited so sorry
Tumblr media
You have always been off the grid as chris’ girlfriend. All your social medias was private other than the fact that chris now had millions of followers digging into your daily lives. You both met back in college in your english class and started off as friends for the 4 years and he finally had the courage to ask you out at graduation. Ever since, y’all have been inseparable. He would bring you up in any conversation, post you on his instagram, being you to set. He was the best person you have ever met.
With chris getting a huge role in the show The Summer I Turned Pretty, you knew people would try and get in between y’all’s relationship. Since the fans couldn’t reach you, they would comment things on chris’ instagram just for you. But it never crossed chris’ mind that he would ever lose you, he would always talk about you no matter what no matter where.
And now season 2 has been filmed and now the first few episodes have been released, it was time for the cast to film some promo videos and production boosts for the fans. Chris brought you along for the day so you sat backstage in almost every video just smiling at the cast but mostly your boyfriend. You watched as they went through the truths and dared having a dance battle to eating horseradish. It was now chris turn to go and he picked out a truth.
“kiss sean kaufman again.” you rolled your eyes playfully
“again.” sean said jokingly “guys who put that one again.” and the whole cast started talking over each other
“nah, it’s what it said.” chris shows the paper around but too fast for anyone to see “look at it. it’s what it said.”
“one day it’s actually going to say kiss sean.” lola said before chris cleared his throat and read the paper
“besides your phone, what is the one item in your house you couldn’t live without.” you knew the answer instantly it was Aquaphor it’s what he cared almost as much as he cared about you, you introduced it to him about a few years ago and he hasn’t stopped using it since
“aquaphor,” gavin said before anyone
“aquaphor.” chris reached into his coat jacket and pulled out the tiny bottle you bought him last week “i’m on it because of my girlfriend.” he glanced at you before looking at the bottle and opened it “it’s the best things that’s ever happened to me… um.. besides.. my girlfriend.” he guested towards you and your cheeks instantly filled with heat as the cast looked at you “her introducing me to aquaphor.” he rubbed some on his lips
“she’s blushing!” lola pointed towards you and you laughed messing with your rings on your finger out of nervousness and chris gave you an apologetic look knowing you don’t like a lot of attention
After the interview was over you went into the back room where the cast was and sat down before their next interview. You sat on the couch drinking a lemonade while the cast talked around you. Sometime you didn’t like being here, you felt out of place sometimes.
“hey girly.” lola sat down next to you. you and lola have became very close friends despite all the rumors saying you hated her for kissing your boyfriend when it was all acting for a tv show
“hey, you ready for the next interview?” you turned towards her slightly
“yeah but my bed is really calling my name right now.” she sighed taking a sip of her water
“chris has mixed feelings about the interviews, he never wants to say anything wrong he really gets into his head about it. plus these are your last interviews before the strike happens so.”
“yeah it honestly sucks that we have to do this but it’s worth it, it’s also stopping us from telling the fans about season 3 too. we can’t promote anything.”
“it will be worth it in the end.” you smiled at her and a body fell next to you, glancing to your side you saw chris sipping on water too “hey you.” he smiled tipping his head to kiss the side of your forehead
“tired.” he whispered
“we’ll go home soon enough.” you leaned into his side and he wrapped an arm around you
“sorry i mentioned you with the aquaphor, it’s just really important to me and you kinda slipped out.”
“shush, it’s okay i want people to know you love the product more than me.” you nudged him with your shoulder
“hey that’s not true!”
“sure sure, anyone on the cast can tell you otherwise baby.” he shook his head playfully at you and brought you in closer to him
He was lucky to have you by his side in this major point in his life. He would never choose anyone other than you to be with him right here right now.

baby, we’re the new romantics !
Tumblr media
𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 some born-rich, noisy man falls for a completely normal ( maybe struggling ) woman
feat. childe, referred to as ajax
wc. 2.7k
note. gn reader, modern au, references a scene from I Love Yoo, this is a little birthday fic for one of my very best friends in the whole wide world : @vivinens !!
Tumblr media
To put it bluntly, it sucked working at McDonald’s.
Other than the fast-paced environment and the tough remarks from rude customers, what arguably sucked the most was that he worked in the building just across the street. Literally just a few steps and you’d be at risk of seeing him.
It wasn’t that you hated Ajax ( okay, maybe you did a little ); he was a fun way to wind down in-between classes sometimes at university because of his loud personality. And, he was attractive to stand next to, you’ll give him that in addition to being a very understanding friend. But seeing him in the workplace is quite possibly the last thing you could ever want to ask for.
What made matters even worse was during your desperate job search last month, when you got a recruitment offer at the place he worked at. You thought it’d be some small thing like where generic college students worked, not some big multi-million firm in this massive building with workers walking around in suits and pencil skirts galore. And of course, when you met with the mean recruiting lady named Rosalyne for your interview, it was impossible not to spot Ajax at the corner of your eyes with a goofy smile on his face.
And when Ms. Rosalyne went back to scold him after your interview, it was more than obvious you were only here because he pushed your application.
How embarrassing.
“You can try again!” he said to you in good spirits in the university courtyard one week after. The two of you were sitting together as the sun was setting on campus, having both finished all your classes for the day. “They’re opening another clerical position soon since our current one is leaving, apply then!” And to you, he was acting all completely normal in his normal young-adult way, meanwhile you were trying to erase the image of him in a suit from your head.
You sighed, “I don’t think the high-class life of business is for me yet, Ajax.”
The roll of your eyes caused him to visibly deflate. Just how obsessed was he with the idea of you getting hired? “But I want you to work with you so baddd…!” he groaned, dramatically shoving his hands onto his face.Then he leaned back forward, slumping until his forehead came down to rest on your shoulder. Such an attention-grabbing act of depression—you almost came to entertain the idea, too.
“I don’t even have office clothes,” you scoffed, bumping him off your shoulder.
He yelped from the force of your push for a moment before he grabbed your arm, pulling it so harshly with such a force that had you clashing right onto his chest ( Yeah, friends, or something like that ). And even as you began to punch on his chest in protest, he just hugged you tight and whined, “I can buy you some! You’ll fit right in—and I get to see you every day at school and at work!”
Seeing him every day sounded like hell, you were so sure this man was insane.
“You are not buying me office clothes!” you denied, still trying to push yourself away.
“I can totally afford it, though!” he pouted. After he relaxed his grip around your body, you still found it too tough to escape his weird embrace. That’s your karma for being friends with the guy who goes to the gym in-between classes, you suppose. And after more struggling to set yourself free, you eventually gave up as the sunset reduced to silence.
That was when he squeezed you tight once more for a last makeshift hug, then planted an ambiguously-friendly kiss on your cheek as he said, “Let’s go get dinner now? I’ll drive.”
“Yeah, sure. Can we get chicken nuggets?”
He lifted both of your bodies up to your feet, watching as you collected your things off the seat before he led you by the hand to his car. “Pff, you always want nuggets,” he teased. “But yeah, I’m down—there’s a McDonald’s right next to my work, let’s go there while I try to convince you to apply at my job!”
Tumblr media
And now you work at said McDonald’s.
You didn’t tell him, of course. Only that you “finally got a job,” so that he could finally stop trying to get you hired at his stuffy building space.
It was pretty busy in the morning when people in office attire would come in for a quick, cheap coffee. Lunch and dinner time was also busy as expected—it was one of the things that made you happy to be a cashier and not one of the cooks or drive-through people.
And the best part about this was that you never saw the uptight Ms. Recruiter Rosalyne here, nor Ajax himself. You knew for a fact that Ajax only went to McDonald’s when it was with you, as he preferred other fast foods, so even if his work was just right there, you really didn’t have to worry about accidentally seeing him. If you did… Well, that would probably be really embarrassing, wouldn’t it?
It was one o’clock in the afternoon, lunch rush.
People were rude, your coworkers were irritable, customers were in a rush—horrible, really, but also a normal day for you. Just smile and put on that customer service voice and it will soon be over. Plus, you got free chicken nuggets for your own lunch break before this.
It was not until you felt your phone vibrate in the pocket of your jeans. Well. It was not that common to get a text like that. Your family should know you’re at work; your friends, too. Just one peak—only one, just while the customer in front of you is still holding up the line while he decides what to order. Propping your phone up behind the register, you open it to check your lockscreen.
orange fuckwad: heyyy you want some mcds nuggets?!?!? ;)
Holy shit. Absolutely not.
“Can I order the uhhh…” Oh good lord you have to turn off your phone now. “Can I order the uhhh McLobster?”
“Sorry sir, the McLobster was discontinued five years ago.” You were about to blow your brains out.
“No I swear I just ordered it last week?”
Your eyes kept shifting to the door. And there, finally, in all his glory making your heart absolutely drop in fear, was Ajax coming through the door. And for you, too—to buy you a box of chicken nuggets. In any other case, you’d find it endearing ( and it still was! ) but in this instance you really wanted to die right now.
The customer suddenly raised an eyebrow at you when you shifted your body to the side, trying to use his body as a shield from the eyes of your friend. There was a second cashier next to you—hopefully Ajax will line up on their line instead of yours. And hopefully, you could use this crusty McDonald’s hat to hide your face.
“Hey!” your coworker suddenly called out to you. You looked towards their empty cashier line with a glimmer of hope for good news. “I’m going on my lunch!” Your face dropped. “I’ll see you in 30, yeah?”
No! Not yeah! But you couldn’t do anything but plead with your facial expression as they left to the backroom, leaving Ajax with no choice but to join your line. If you could blow up this whole building right now, God, you would.
Five customers until him, four customers until him, three, two, one—
“Woah!” The surprise on his face felt insulting. Actually, you still used the hat to hide your face as best as you could. It was failing at hiding your identity from him as expected, but at least it helped you obscure the view of his… physique. Him, with his… um, his black slacks and white collared shirt that was just a little too tight on him, and his grey blazer that was thrown over his shoulder. One button at the top unfastened, almost as if he loosened it just to breathe during his lunch break.
And his hair, if you didn’t want to meet his eyes then you were honestly staring there. Whose hair was usually messy and tousled, now slicked perfectly for once with gel, all in a proper yet still very Ajax-way. The sides were in place, meanwhile strands over his eyes and at the top of his hair remained loose in that messy way that still characterized him. God, you might just die from embarrassment and awkwardness right now.
“This is where you work?” he asked, incredulously.
“Good afternoon, sir. What can I get for you today?” you smiled. Please, please just go with it.
He looked surprised at your voice, especially since it was so fabricated and one he had not heard before. You just hoped he wouldn’t be a dumb prick to you today, just this once. “Oh, um…” Please, please. “One ten-piece chicken nugget, please.” Thank God.
“Would you like a drink with that?”
“Yes, one large soda, if that’s okay?”
“Will that be all?”
“Uh.” He looked confused. You just stared at him. “Yeah… Yeah, I think so.”
Then he swiped his card, you directed him to the side, and he left the line. With a lingering gaze, of course. He looked like a lost ( and maybe even a little hurt ) puppy after his order, and as much as this made you feel sad for him, you were just glad to get through with him as a customer without any complications. He’ll definitely be bothering you after this, anyways.
He pretty much watched you the entire time he waited for his food, eyeing you with a look of concern that did not belong on his usual expression. But you ignored him for your own betterment—you’d really just rather get through this rush hour of customers. And when his order number was finally called, he held the small bag with nuggets and his large soda with confusion. Oh, right. That food was probably bought for you.
You sent him a look and a head tilt that notioned ‘Just eat it’, and surprisingly, he got it. Ajax, with his pristine proper suit and blazer over his shoulder, sat down at a dirty barstool and ate his ten-piece chicken nuggets. He was still watching you, though; he glanced at you every few seconds while he was chewing. Minutes that felt so long passed, and you just hoped his lunch break would end soon so he could get back to his building.
“Hello again!” You almost jumped in place when you found him in front of you again, having finished his nuggets.
“Ajax,” you grumbled, trying to speak quietly. There was another customer coming to line up behind him. “I can’t talk during my shift.”
“Oh!” He looked at you in innocent surprise for a second, definitely not as depressed as earlier. “No, I was just gonna order.”
You wanted to die. “Didn’t you already…” Clearing your throat, you remembered there was another customer lined up behind him. Thank heavens the lunch rush was over already. Time to put on the customer service voice for him again. “What can I get for you?”
“A box of ten-piece chicken nuggets, please!” he smiled. “And a large soda!”
If you didn’t feel like killing him before, well you certainly did now. And guess what, he ate this order, too! Was he doing this out of spite now? Ordering nuggets and then eating them right in front of you? Because honestly, it was making you less hungry and more confused, if anything. This was definitely not what you expected—but then again, you fully anticipated he’d hold up the line just to talk to you. But no, suddenly he was a McDonald’s nugget fan?
The moment you get out of here, you’re going to twist his ear. Time passes again where you purposely avoid his gaze. So, so much time. Either his lunch break was just incredibly long, or time was just going so slow because he was here. You bet it was the latter.
And then, once again, you find him at the front of your line.
“Hello!” he smiled. He looks happy just to see you. “Can I get a ten-piece box of chicken nuggets?”
“And a large soda with that?” you asked, almost with a sigh.
He looks uneasy, standing to the tips of his toes for a moment. “No,” he drags out with hesitance. “Side of large fries, actually.”
Ooo, how different! It’s the most entertainment you could wish for in a day. And when you shoo him to the side this time, he has the biggest smile on his face. How unusual—in this situation, at least. Then when his order comes, he actually turns to leave this time. He walked to the glass doors with an innocent grin and a large McDonald’s bag in his hand, happily waving to you goodbye. Finally.
Tumblr media
“You never told me you work at the McDonald’s right by me!”
He was there waiting for you when you walked out of your shift, packed up, ready to go home, and definitely smelling like grease. “Well aren’t you out early…” you sighed at him. “It’s only three in the afternoon.”
“I asked if I could leave so I could come see you sooner,” he frowned. Endearing, once again. And your heart may have skipped just a bit when he lifted up the last brown bag he bought. “I saved these for you. They’re not warm anymore but there’s fries, a soda, and fifteen nuggets… I, uh, couldn’t finish the second order.”
You nearly laughed out. “Why in the world did you order so much anyways?”
“So I could see you again,” he pouted.
He was still wearing his office attire, top button unfastened once again and blazer under his arm once you took the fast food bad again. You might’ve just had nuggets during your lunch break, and this food may be cold and soggy by now, but the thought of him buying it for you made it the best meal in the world. And, it was also the fact he left his own shift early just to see you. He could be nice at times; so nice, it almost comforted the fact he made you want to die earlier.
“You embarrassed me,” you tiredly sighed. The both of you were walking together to his car—how he knew you were dropped off here was beyond you.
“Sorry!” he sheepishly smiled. “I really didn’t think I’d see you there…” Which was understandable, sure, but did he really have to order that many McNuggets just to see you at the cashier stand? “But now that I know you work right next to me…”
“Ajax, no.”
“Oh come on!” He pouted with a considerably loud whine while the both of you crossed the street to his building. You figured he was likely parked behind it, wherever the employee parking was. It still felt a little weird to be in your McDonald’s uniform walking next to a big business building. “I get to see you every lunch break—doesn’t that sound so fun?”
“No not really.”
He groaned even louder again, slumping his shoulders as if he was not dressed like he was going to an office party right now. But then, in some sort of comforting silence, he aligned his arm over your shoulders. It was cute, honestly—how he would still do this despite the fact you smelled like pure grease right now ( and the fact you were trying to ignore the feeling of his arm muscles that were practically bursting through his sleeves ).
He eyed you a few times during this silent walk, watching as you stuffed your face with nuggets and fries. Holy God this tasted so good for some reason…?! You totally deserved this after your shift of rude customers and embarrassing moments—then your good friend Ajax brings you nuggets and fries right after. How romantic.
And speaking of your ‘friend’, he pulled you closer against him, arm practically swallowing your entire being over your shoulders. Not that you were complaining, though; you found his weird obsession with being near you all the time just a little bit cute. And besides, he drove you places, and he bought you chicken nuggets.
Who could not love a man that buys you chicken nuggets?

Not Enough
♥ ♥  rockstar!Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Summary: Eddie's hauled you off to LA because, turns out, when you're not throwing your life away on booze and drugs, opportunities tend to lead to more opportunities. LA's amazing, and Eddie's amazing, and suddenly life is all about sun-freckles and exciting accomplishments but... something's missing.
CW / disclaimer: 18+, language, fem!reader, angst, mentions of substance abuse and addiction, trauma
Author’s note: This story continues my Eddie story that consists of “Only Now”, “Over Now”, “Then Again” and "Never Over". I've done my best to make it so that you don't really need to read all previous parts, but, it always helps.
Wordcount: 5.2K

(find all other parts of this story here)
The mattress dipped behind you before cold air wafted underneath the covers. Movement, noise of skin against fabric, fabric against fabric, and then the noise of a heavy head meeting the pillow next to you in an exhale.
Eddie was home.
Before you knew it, you felt a hand wander over, finding its way in between your thighs, pushing through soft flesh, and curling up until Eddie’s hand splayed out just below your bellybutton. With a strong yank, you were pulled backwards, right into him, butt first. You didn’t know why he had to pull you over to his side of the bed by your vagina, but, here you were.
Arms curled around you, a knee pushed your legs apart, just to sit in between, and within just a few seconds you found yourself fully tangled up together. Heavy limbs, deep inhales, bodies wiggling until they fit together just perfectly for sleep.
“Mhm,” was all you managed as Eddie used careful fingers to move your hair aside before he buried his face into the crook of your neck. You felt the brush of his lips all the way down in your toes and relished under his protective touch.
“You smell like the bath,” Eddie whispered, inhaling the sickly-sweet artificial scent bath pearls had left on your skin.
“Mhm, you smell like studio,” you croaked back, meaning you could smell cigarettes and stale sweat the long day had left on him. It wasn’t meant to be a dig at how you thought he smelled bad – it was fine. Kind of nice, actually. It was more a dig at Eddie having spent all hours of the day, and some of the night too, cooped up inside a dark little room with a bunch of other men. You’d have liked for some of those hours to have been spent with you.
“I think we’ve done it,” Eddie’s voice slipped into a whisper mid-sentence. “Finished it.”
You hummed in reaction, just to let him know that you heard him. Eddie'd said the same thing two weeks ago, but then, the next day, there were a million things to change and redo and add and take away - this album was becoming the bane of Eddie's existence.
But he said they'd finished it now, and you hoped it was true this time.
Maybe that’s why they’d worked until the early hours of the morning. Creative work didn’t really stick to set schedules – didn’t really stick to time in general. Which... it wasn’t a problem. Not really. Not in the grand scheme of things. But time and you weren’t really getting on all that well lately. There was just so much of it.
Ever since you’d moved to California with Eddie, there’d been so much time.
Too many hours in a day. Too many minutes in every hour. Too many seconds to make you think because there wasn’t really anything to do.
Turns out that when you’re sober and learn to actually show up to things; gigs, radio interviews, award shows, TV performances, movie premiers, photoshoots, writing sessions, and even things like fundraisers, album release parties of other artists... if you show up and do the work, act and behave like the professional musician that you are, you actually... make the money.
And there was a lot more money in this game than you thought Eddie would ever be able to make.
It also really helped that he wasn’t spending all of it on substances and hotel room damages. Not that Eddie didn’t have other ways to blow through his cash, though.
But, what the steady income of insane amounts of money mostly meant was the lack of work it left for you.
Eddie had hired designers to do the interior design of the LA house. Eddie had hired a personal chef to take care of every meal the two of you could ever want. Eddie had hired gardeners, a pool guy, cleaners, and a personal assistant who got fired almost instantly because they ended up just doing your laundry.
You knew it was all coming from a good place. The best place.
It had taken a lot from Eddie to work himself up to ask you if you’d want to move to LA with him. The last thing he wanted was for you to feel forced to move halfway across the country, just because he kind of needed to for work. Correction, he didn’t really need to. It would just be easier, way more convenient. Half the band was already making plans to leave Indiana and sure, Eddie could travel. He could fly in and out and you could too, and you absolutely could’ve figured out a way to live like that.
But when Eddie carefully asked, you’d not even hesitated for a second.
It actually took some real convincing from your side, because Eddie immediately backtracked and said to forget it. He didn’t want to burden you. It was a stupid idea to begin with, he could tell his manager to work out something else, because you had a job and an apartment and a life and how could Eddie ever even think to burden you like that?
“Burden me with what? Your life?” you’d asked, looking at him like he was insane. But Eddie had shrugged his shoulders up and you’d realised that that was exactly what it was.
Over the years your heart had shattered many times for Eddie. Looking at him then, all tall, hair longer than it’d ever been, tattoos on show, sort of... flashy looking with all his chains and rings and his shiny black pointed toe boots – he looked like the rockstar the public knew him as. But all you could see was a fragile fearful little boy who seemingly had shrunk down enough for you to fit him into your pocket, and your heart shattered once more.
“Baby, come here.” You’d reached for him, and he’d instantly fallen into you, both arms around your waist, face pressed against your chest, your hand in his hair.
“We live in a shitty little apartment above a bar where I serve beers to the same seven middle aged men all day,”
“But your life is here, you love your job,”
“No, I loved the sense of independence it gave me when I moved out of Hawkins, I loved learning new skills, getting better at working with new people,” you needed him to know within his bones that what he was asking of you wasn’t a burden.
“What I love more,” you elongated the word more and felt Eddie nuzzle his nose against your collar bone, ready for you to list some shit that would make him feel better.
“Is how you sold your massive penthouse of a place for me, how you came to live with me above a bar, how you trust me with your schedule, how you always check in with me, how you value my opinion, how you don't hesitate to cancel plans because of me, how you come and pick me up from work which, I don't know how you do it, but you do do it, you do it all the time– Eddie, you keep choosing me, and–” your voice went up an octave as your throat closed up.
“Don’t cry,”
But you couldn’t help it.
Eddie had sold the penthouse because it reminded you too much of bad times. Awful times when Eddie drank mouthwash and tried to convince you he wouldn't finish the bottle but then had called you all sorts of names when you tipped it over and washed the remnants down the drain.
Eddie came to live with you, because he practically already was anyway. But your place was a small apartment, a place that smelled of beer and liquor 80 per cent of the time. And Eddie said he was fine. He'd bake bread and cake and pastries, and you'd cried when you realised it was to cover up the smell of bar you carried on you after a shift.
Eddie was kind and nice and would call his therapist whenever he needed to, would go see her on a semi-regular basis. He'd tell you about his schedule and it was never just an announcement, but instead was always a question: does this work for us? Are we okay with this?
Eddie always chose you and made sure you really felt it because Eddie knew. Eddie understood that for fucking years you’d felt the exact opposite.
Eddie would sort of choose you, just for a few days, and then he'd leave and not contact you for months.
But that was before. Eddie chose you every day now.
He wasn’t a burden to you.
He truly wasn’t.
Eddie had burdened you. For years. Not anymore, though. Everything was fine now.
Wasn’t it?
Eddie had been good. So good. He’d found ways to wade through life without the drink. Got so deeply into cooking and baking for a bit as his new obsession. Needed all the best pots and pans, until he had a whole collection of expensive kitchenware that cluttered up all kitchen storage.
Then, he’d moved onto something else. Needed something different to spark all the things within him that needed sparking.
Now that you lived in LA, in a much larger house with so much more space, the garage, one of two, was filled with Eddie’s latest hobby: pinball machines. He’d get them shipped in from all over, all special kinds, real rare ones, machines crafted by specific craftsmen, graphics designed into specific themes.
It wasn’t even about playing, Eddie just… wanted to collect the best ones and wanted them all lined up, all shiny with lights flickering and music playing.
Sometimes you'd tell him, come on Eddie, invite over the old gang, get Mike and Dustin and Lucas in here for a weekend, do a big pinball tournament. But Eddie'd just smile and tell you when he'd be expecting the next one to be delivered.
Before pinball machines it had been neon lights. And you’d been supportive. Would drive out to weird thrift stores, vintage markets and often times random people’s houses until you’d said, “Ed, I’d like the bedroom to be calm and neutral… we don’t need a big blue neon sign in here that used to hang outside of that restaurant you really like...”.
Eddie had laughed at himself then and realized the absurdity of what the house was turning into, had apologized, and then had sold all of them.
Except for the blue one.
The one that used to hang outside that restaurant he really liked. Where the owner would serve him apple juice in a wine glass and would seat Eddie in an area where he wouldn’t be able to see the bar. And then he’d play a Corroded Coffin song – just one, to show his appreciation for the visit, and then, wouldn’t let you pay the full bill, some dishes would always miraculously go missing.
Eddie kept that neon light which found a proud spot in a hallway upstairs that lead to one of the guest rooms.
Yeah.
Overall, Eddie had been good.
But some days, he’d wake up and he’d feel an inside want. Knew it meant something else was wrong, and this was just how his brain was wired to cope with it. He’d done work to rewire, but sometimes, wires crossed and all he really wanted was quick relief.
In those moments, he knew he’d have find something else to satisfy that inside want. The need for quick relief.
In those moments, he’d find you.
Eddie had you there. Always with him. Stuck to his hip, and vice versa.
So, you had quit your job for him. You had moved across the country for him. You had given up your whole life for him Eddie thought, even though you assured him time and time again that this was the exact life you wanted. All you needed was Eddie. Eddie was your home, and Eddie was your all, and you loved LA.
It was the perfect place to be for Eddie’s work. It was warm all the time, gave you permanent freckles that graced your nose. Your house was big, lovely, huge backyard with a big pool. You had ample room for people to come visit and stay for a few days. Weeks if they wanted to. Guest rooms with en suites and the one downstairs even with its own entrance, so when Wayne stayed over, he could go for early morning walks without fear of waking anyone up.
The only thing about LA you didn’t like was that there was so much time.
And it was just you.
And Eddie.
And sure, the Corroded Coffin guys. And Eddie's manager was nice. Their producer too. But they all had work, and sometimes you tagged along and it was so exciting, always so fun. Red carpets and sound checks and green rooms and festivals – it was always new and your excitement for it fueled Eddie's excitement for it.
But then there were also days– weeks like these, where all Eddie did was write, and record, and rehearse.
You remembered being 18 and hanging out with Steve a lot, sometimes Robin too, when Eddie'd be busy writing, recording, and rehearsing with his band.
But Steve wasn't in LA.
Wait.
Scratch the time being the issue – the only thing about LA you didn't like was that Steve wasn't there.
Your tripod was your tripod no more.
Steve had come to stay for a week when you'd just moved, and your week had mostly been the two of you figuring out where to buy groceries before Eddie hired someone to get them for you. After that, you'd just lazed around the pool for the rest of the week until Steve had to fly back home.
A lot had changed in the 1,5 years that followed that week.
But you missed Steve.
Steve, who had met a girl he really liked, who Robin said was lovely, but also said that she probably wouldn’t really gel with you and Eddie. Something judgmental about her. Kind, though. And very pretty.
You were glad Steve had Robin nearby still, because you knew Robin, and you loved Steve. Steve deserved the best. Deserved someone who could love him like you loved Eddie.
Robin said she did, which was good. Reassuring.
And Steve loved her.
You’d only met her a couple of times before Steve had proposed to her. Engaged to be married, just a few months in. And barely a year later, you’d been invited to a home coming big barbecue pool party at Steve’s parents’ house in Hawkins. You'd barely been able to make it, but Steve had been very adamant about it.
"I never have parties anymore, you have to come,"
"There'll be a whole non-alcoholic section of drinks, don't you even worry about it,"
"I've already talked to Eddie's manager, he said he has the time,"
"Please,"
Like you really needed convincing. Of course you'd be there, wouldn't fucking miss it for the world. Neither would anyone else, because everyone was there. The whole gang and then some. Matt was there too, and seeing an ex was never fun, but it was actually sort of okay. You didn't love the fact that you were there with Eddie, because it felt like you were shoving it into his face a little bit, but Matt was still Matt, ever the Corroded Coffin fan, and walked up with a huge smile the second he'd spotted you.
You'd learned that late afternoon that Steve had been just as pushy with everyone else about coming to this party. He'd been calling around, double and triple checking to make sure everyone really was going to be able to make it.
That's when you found Eddie narrowing his eyes at you. Pondering. Something didn't add up. Or it did, but it felt like the math problem you'd been given wasn't the correct one. You knew exactly what Eddie was thinking, and about thirty minutes later, Eddie was proven right.
The party turned out to be Steve's surprise wedding.
Eddie and you had clutched your hands tightly together throughout the whole ceremony, because what the fuck was happening? You kept making eye-contact with Robin, and she kept shrugging as if to say that she knew just as little about all of this as you did.
"Steve's married," you'd said to Eddie afterwards, stood in the Harrington's kitchen, both sort of.... defeated. Unsure of what to make of it all.
Eddie leant against the counter, arms crossed and teeth biting into his lower lip, scraping off dry skin the plane's aircon had left him with.
"I don't know why I feel offended," you'd huffed a laugh at how ridiculous that sounded.
"Offended?" Eddie asked, eyebrows quirked, clearly confused.
"Yea, I don't know... I always thought that, if any of us were to get married one day, we'd all be... more involved? Like, you'd be Steve's best man, and I'd... you know, know the bride,"
Steve didn't owe you shit, you knew that. And you'd moved away. You supposed that's what happened in life – things changed. But this all seemed very drastic. Insanely sudden. Almost out of character.
"She seems like she's good for him," Eddie offered, and you immediately agreed. Not because you thought Eddie was right, you had no idea if he was, but because that's what you wanted to be true.
A silence fell where you both stared into space for a second to let the day sink in a little.
"Steve's married... this is so weird," you'd grimaced a little at it which made Eddie reach for your arms to pull you into a hug.
It was nice how you just got to hug and kiss in the very same kitchen where before, when Steve had you over for movie nights, you'd have to sneak around a little. Not be too obvious when Eddie pretended there wasn't enough room to move around whilst preparing popcorn and you basically ended up grinding up against each other until someone would call out what was taking you so long.
"Should we get married?" Eddie asked after a beat, obviously joking, and it got you into giggles immediately.
"I don't know of a better way to make my mother both the happiest and most disturbed woman alive," you said, cheek pressed up against his chest, knowing your mother had been waiting for most of your life for you to get married. She really wanted to have that huge wedding she could get all dressed up for, to be mother of the bride for a whole day. It was just that she wasn't the biggest fan of Eddie. If anything, within your little group, she'd always really pushed for you and Steve to get together.
"She'd be so conflicted," you imagined, which meant, maybe not right now, but you added, "Let's do it!" which got Eddie right in his funny bone and pushed a barking laugh from him.
"Maybe I should start playing golf,"
"Wear pastel polo shirts,"
"Take some etiquette classes, be more like Matt,"
"Stop, she'll marry you herself if she could– don't," you saw Eddie raise his eyebrows, pretending to consider it, so you'd shut him up before he could say anything and it reduced you both into giggles.
You'd decided to be the supportive friends you both imagined Steve needed. Decided you weren't going to mention how insane and sudden all of it was. Just be happy for him. Which you were.
You just... missed him, you guessed.
"I kind of need to get out of here," Eddie sighed, looking out into the backyard where a wedding was in full swing, people getting more tipsy with every sip of bubbly they had.
You knew what he meant. Feeling anxiety creep up in a place where there were drinks up for grabs was the exact wrong environment for him to be in.
"Yea, let's go," you pecked Eddie on the lips, went to find people to say goodbye to, and then it took two hours before you had finally walked through the gates with lots of promises to come visit LA in your pockets.
Yet, Steve hadn't come out to visit you since that first time when he'd stayed over for a week.
So, yeah. The only thing you didn’t like about LA that was it was far away from Steve.
Steve who had gotten married about four months ago.
Steve whose phone calls had dropped in frequency over time, because d’uh, Steve was married now and you lived far away from each other, and you had your own lives. Were busy. Didn’t have time for dry catch-up conversations if the only updates were that Eddie had spent a lot of nights in the studio, and you kept busy managing his agenda.
Except you did have a lot of time.
It's just that people thought you didn't. All they'd see was Eddie's life. Eddie's life was on TV, on the radio, in the magazines and newspapers and people automatically assumed you'd be so busy.
You'd spent the day reorganizing your vanity as you'd heard the cleaners downstairs, and the chefs preparing food that they'd box up and leave in the fridge for you to have later. It was something you could've done within fifteen minutes, but you'd managed to stretch it to three hours. You weren't fucking busy at all. You could've easily spent hours on the phone to Hawkins.
But Steve was married, and you had cheated on Matt with Eddie which probably never sat right with Steve's new wife - not that you blamed her - and so you didn't call. Not often. Very rarely, actually.
When you woke up that next morning, Eddie still snoring into his pillow next to you, you'd gotten out and promised yourself that you'd call Steve that day.
When Eddie eventually made it down, sleep still in his eyes, hair everywhere, you apologised to the chef that was working on lunch for him being in just his boxers.
"Morning, babe," Eddie said before pressing a kiss into your hair as he ran a warm palm over your back.
"It's afternoon," you smiled over your mug of coffee.
"Well, was the morning good?"
"Morning was lovely, had a little swim," you watched Eddie as he moved to make his own coffee, and the chef behind him started making up two plates for you.
"I don't use that pool enough," Eddie said mostly to himself.
When he turned back to look at you, you inhaled sharply and gave him a polite smile. It made him frown a second. "What?"
"I'm going to call Steve today,"
You said it like it was something you could never do behind Eddie's back. Like it was a secret you'd feel bad about keeping to yourself.
"See if I can convince him to actually come over,"
Eddie nodded through his first sip of hot coffee, his face giving away that it was definitely too hot and burning his tongue.
"Tell him to bring Robin,"
You narrowed your eyes in thought.
"Do you think that'll help?"
Eddie shrugged. It might.
It shouldn't though. It was always you, Eddie and Steve. Just the three of you. And then, for a long time, it was you and Steve and only sometimes Robin.
But fine. You could always tell Steve to bring Robin if that would push him to actually take the time to come visit you.
When you called, you got Steve's wife.
"Hey, um, sorry, I was calling for Steve?"
"Yea, he's out. Can I take a message?"
"Oh, no, that's OK... I'll try again later, when do you think–"
"He's going to be out for a while."
"Oh..."
You didn't know how to react to that.
"Can I take a message?"
"No, I–"
And then she hung up. Just, hung up on you. No polite goodbye. No nothing. You looked at the receiver, then at Eddie.
"That was weird."
You didn't want to worry, so you chalked it up to bad timing. They'd probably just been in a fight. And, everyone fought, didn't they? Especially married couples who hadn't even known each other for a full year, you thought.
But of course you worried.
So you rang back a little later, but got told that if you didn't have a message for Steve, there was no use in calling because, like she'd said before, he'd be out for a while. There was something sad to her voice. Something that made you not push further, that made you not just ask, where is he, what happened?
When Eddie suggested for you to call Robin, you did, but got her answering machine. Three times.
You'd left a message that started out all up beat. Asked her how she was doing. Told her that you missed her, that she should come visit, the weather in LA was lovely and you had a guest room waiting for her to come and occupy for a little bit.
When you got all pleasantries out of the way, you mentioned Steve. The weird and very short phone calls you'd had with his wife.
And you wanted to tell her how it had never sat right with you, that Steve had met someone the second you'd moved away, and that he'd gotten engaged just a couple weeks after he'd been out to visit you in LA, and then a couple months later, he'd thrown a surprise wedding. You wanted to tell her that you thought this is how he'd gone about things, because maybe he'd been scared no one would've RSVP'd if you all had gotten wedding invitations in the mail. But you didn't say those things. Just said you missed them, her and Steve, and wanted to see them.
The more you thought about it, the more worried you got.
"What if something's wrong?" you'd asked Eddie when he was on his way out.
"Call again tomorrow, it'll be fine. People argue. Give it a little time,"
Logically you knew he was probably right, but something had taken residence within the pit of your stomach. Set up camp there, and you knew the only way to flush it out was by speaking to Steve directly. Or have Robin call you back to tell you Steve was doing just fine.
Fuck, if you could, you would've just made your way over to go and see for yourself.
But you were in LA.
And Steve was in Hawkins still.
Until he wasn’t.
"Um... babe?" Eddie called from the front step, door handle still in his hand, sunglasses somehow balanced on his forehead, just above his brows. His other hand shook his car keys into his fist when he looked back at you.
It was the next day, and Eddie had a meeting with his label. Nothing crazy, just a word on the tapes the band had dropped off the day before.
You looked, and from where you were sat, you weren't able to see much of what Eddie was looking at. Until he stepped aside a little, and someone stepped onto the threshold.
Suitcases came into vision first, one in either hand, and then, Steve was suddenly there, on your doorstep in LA, dark sunglasses hiding his emotions.
And he hadn’t known what to say, just looked at you as you'd gasped upon seeing him.
You’d rushed over immediately, arms open and you were so ready to fall into him, but you hadn't anticipated that he'd fall into you as well. Suitcases dropped and you crashed into each other. It audibly pushed the air from your lungs, and it hurt, but that didn't matter.
You heard a soft, "Careful," coming from Eddie, who held out both hands in case you were to lose balance, which you didn't.
Steve hugged, and you hugged and Eddie stood and watched, waited his turn to hug Steve. When he realised his turn wasn't going to come, because you were pushing fists into Steve and his grip didn't seem to be faltering soon either, he turned your hug into a group hug and you stood like that, on the threshold of your open front door for entirely too long.
"I called you yesterday, twice." you murmured. "Robin too,"
"I know," was all Steve said, and you wondered how he knew. Were the phone calls why he'd traveled to LA? Or had he already been on his way? Had he already booked the flight before you'd reached out?
"Wanna talk about it?"
"Not really,"
You felt Eddie's arms tense up, squeeze a little tighter, and you knew it was because he was about to pull back.
"I'm sorry, I've got... work, but please, come in, make yourself at home, have some food, take a shower," Eddie listed things off on his fingers as you finally broke the embrace.
"Are you telling me I stink?" Steve asked, the humorous undertone easily detectable in his voice.
"Yes," Eddie deadpanned before wanting to carry on the list, but your laugh interrupted him.
"We were never this blunt with him, were we?" Steve looked at you, and you recalled all the times Eddie had come to visit Hawkins, looking worse for wear and smelling like the men's room of a dirty dive bar. Steve immediately received a punch to the shoulder from Eddie.
"I'll be back in a couple hours,"
And so you'd said goodbye to Eddie, had invited Steve inside and had shown him to his room - the same one he stayed in last time. Not the one with its own entrance, but the one upstairs, close to your own bedroom.
Steve put his suitcases down on the ottoman by the end of the bed and sighed deeply.
"Sorry I didn't call before flying in,"
"Don't be, I literally called you yesterday to tell you to fucking come over already,"
Steve smiled as he started moving clothes from one of the suitcases onto the bed, stacking things in neat piles. You leant into the doorway, arms folded over your stomach, and you felt all sorts of feelings that all lead straight to guilt.
There was obviously something going on. Steve had taken off his sunglasses and revealed puffy skin and red-rimmed eyes. The hostile tone his wife had spoken with to you hadn't left your mind yet, either.
But, Steve was here now. Right where you wanted him to be, and you were reunited as the three-piece that you had always been. Morning, noon and evening. Sun, wind and rain. Birth, life and death. Past, present and future. It had always been the three of you, and even though you'd grown up, and lives had changed, having Steve over gave you the opportunity to drown in nostalgia for a few days.
Feel... complete for a little while.
Wait, that reminded you.
"How long are you staying?"
Steve kept busy and didn't look at you as he shrugged up both his shoulders.
"I don't know,"
You didn't respond. Just watched him unpack. Gave him the space to think his thoughts before he vocalized them which you knew he sometimes needed.
Then he turned his head to look at you, eyebrows scrunched up a little, almost as if he was apologizing.
"How does a month sound?"

Tumblr media
Austin is a good boy, a good man, a good puppy. He's polite to a fault, hardworking and one of the kindest souls you have every had the pleasure of knowing. Austin is gorgeous but seems to enjoy pretending he isn't, he seems to enjoy pretending that if acting doesn't pan out he could model. It'd be annoying on anyone but Austin.
But Austin is also one of the more anxious people you've met. He stays too much in his own head and can't always get himself out of it. You realize this when he's so nervous for an interview that he's shaking and no matter what trick or technique he tried he couldn't calm himself. The only thing that had worked was your hands on his shoulders telling he'd be okay over and over until you had heard him say "I heard you, mama" softly. The phrase sends such a shock to your system that you drop your hands so quickly you'd have thought Austin's skin was on fire. Austin's eyes widen and he opens his mouth to say something- anything- to explain himself before he's dragged to the proper backstage. You weren't his mama, you had done something like that other people, but to Austin? No, that hadn't crossed your mind. You weren't sure if you could do it. You stay in the dressing room until Austin comes back in. His lower lip is essentially completely in his mouth has he gnaws on it. You frown realizing just how far he's back in his head looking at you.
"Tell mama what's wrong, baby boy." You whisper as you stand up and take his hands in your own.
The relief on his face at your words and the way he sags against your body tell you that you made the right choice with your words that night. You learned just how much he needed a mama like you, someone to help him, someone to be there for him when others wouldn't be or wouldn't do. It made you wonder why you ever thought you couldn't do this with him. As he said that night and so many other nights in your lap.
"I think you might have been made just for me. Just to be my mama and to live your own life."
He only ever has said it in your lap, you never press about it otherwise.
Oscar season was going to be rough no matter what, you both knew this. It's why you had made sure that your schedule- as packed as it normally was at the beginning of the year was clear. It was an adjustment, telling your job that yes, you needed this time blocked off and if anyone needed your help you'd be available to talk but not for extensive amounts of time. You didn't usually attach conditions to your relationship with Austin, either as his mama or as his girlfriend but you had asked him to after award season was done to respect the fact that you were going to basically be living at the office. He had agreed with a bit of a pouty lip, but he was an adult, he could handle it.
It's the night of the ceremony and you specifically had told Austin that while it was the most important night of his life, he also needed to be in the moment enough to enjoy it. The two of you had come up with the idea of the vibrating cockring. By now- months from that interview you had learned that controlling when Austin could orgasm- controlling how hard his cock could be- was the best way to ensure he stayed focused and in the moment with you. You know you're not famous enough to be next to him in the cast pictures, you're not famous at all really but you still try and stay close, the remote for his cock ring in the pocket of your dress. It's in one of the photos on the red carpet that you see his hand shaking behind Priscilla's back and you turn up the vibration setting one level.
You can hear his intake of breath from a distance and you see his hand has stopped shaking before you realize that he's walking over to you with eyes that have had their pupils overtake most of the iris. His hand moves to grab your arm in an attempt to pull you close enough for him to whisper in your ear.
"Mama, I can't- you can't do that when I'm by Priscilla, she thought something was wrong." He practically hisses. There's no malice in his tone just worry that he exposed himself.
You smile for the cameras that are taking both of your pictures before leaning in to his ear and turning the vibration up one more level. "I'm your mama, baby boy, I can do it when I want. You were shaking. You needed it."
He opens his mouth to deny it before you raise your eyebrows and tilt your head just so, a sign that he knows means you will accept no arguments from him. Instead he shuts his mouth and moves to kiss you, something he knows the camera will enjoy. Austin Butler, man of the hour, the one who's likely to be the only one to take on Brendan Fraser for the best actor prize, kissing his lawyer girlfriend. He grabs your face as he's done a million times, both hands cupping your cheeks and you for once mirror him in front of the cameras, your own hands moving to cup his cheeks. He nuzzles into them and you can't help the soft smile that crosses your lips as you kiss him when you feel it.
"Color, baby boy?" You ask as you pull away.
"Green." A beat, and a murmur. "Need you though, mama. Need to taste your pussy when we go in. Please?"
You chuckle softly as you pull away. "Be good and we'll see."
Being good was a challenge, it shouldn't have been but you decided to up the ante to make sure Austin didn't start to panic about what was going to be happening tonight. What might not happen tonight. By the time you and him are at the end of the red carpet Austin's practically vibrating as if the cockring is making his whole body vibrate with it. His arm is around you and his mouth is by your ear the second you're away from the constant flashes of cameras.
"Please mama, please, I've been good. You're being mean but I'm such a good boy. Such a great boy for you." The words come out in what sounds like Elvis's southern drawl, half slurred and you find that it does something for you. Enough of something that you find yourself dragging him to the nearest room with a lock and forcing him in there. The second the door is locked you're bunching up your dress. The joys of buying your own and wearing it, you didn't have to worry about a designer getting mad you wrecked it.
"On your knees, Austin." You say as you shimmy out of your underwear.
He doesn't even hesitate his knees hitting the floor with a thump that has you wincing before you feel his tongue against your slit, causing a surprised "oh" to leave your mouth. He blows a puff of cold air against the warm line he had just left before humming and diving in. He eats you out like a man starved, his tongue flicking at your clit before dipping into your cunt a pale imitation of his dick or his fingers but the sensation of something slipping in and out of your cunt as quick as his tongue does has you gripping at the table behind you. He pulls away when he realizes your hands aren't in his hair.
"Hair, mama."
Two words before he's back against your core, focusing his attention on sucking at your clit, his faint 5 o'clock shadow scraping at cunt and the insides of your thighs. You let your hands move down to his hair, pulling it and earning a groan as well as a shiver from him. You know you have to be quiet, you two can't get caught, not tonight of all nights so you bite your lips even as you feel Austin's fingers join his tongue, curling just so to have your hips bucking against his face his nose putting pressure on your clit. You two are going to get caught but maybe it's worth it. Maybe it's worth it to make your baby boy happy, to give him the reward he deserved for being so good on the red carpet. To give him an incentive to be good throughout the ceremony.
"Such a good boy for your mama, Austin. The best boy a mama can ask for, god, baby, right there, fuck-" You whimper your thighs clenching around his head as you feel yourself right on the edge of coming. Austin smiles against you and nips at your clit and you clench even tighter as your toes curl and you lean back, your head hitting the wall behind you and your back arching before you come back down in a flash. Austin doesn't stop licking, almost as if he's trying to clean up the mess he made of you before he pulls back, his mouth covered in your juices.
"Best boy?" His eyes are a little lidded, but not enough that you're concerned for his well being. This is what he needed, this should settle him enough for most of the ceremony.
Your hand moves to the lapel of his jacket and you use the grip to pull him up to a standing position as best as you can. "The absolute best boy. A boy who's earned not having the cock ring on. Because mama knows her best boy can hold off on coming without it. Can't he?"
He nods slowly as he watches your hand sneak into his pants and with an ease he marvels at, manage to get the ring off without too much trouble. He sees your underwear on the floor and grabs them as you put the cock ring in your clutch. You eye the underwear until he says something.
"Can I keep them for a good luck charm tonight?" He asks, his face contorting into what you'd like to say is the best impression of a puppy dog that you've ever seen before. It makes your heart hurt and feel so full of love that you can't help but kiss Austin before you answer, tasting yourself on his lips.
"You can. Going to keep being a good boy tonight?" It's a question you don't need to ask but you figure checking in won't hurt as you straighten out your dress.
"With your panties in my pocket? Why wouldn't I be, mama?" He looks in the mirror and fixes his hair before turning to you. "Back out to that?"
"Back out to that, baby boy." You nod, taking his hand and squeezing it. "You're gonna win. Trust me when Mama says that."
He does and when he's thanking his mama in his speech everyone thinks he's just talking about Lori. And you know he is, but you also know his eyes don't ever leave yours when he says I couldn't have done this without my mama and you know it wasn't just her he was talking about. He might be the best boy in all of world to you, but to him, you might just be the best mama in all of the world.

I fully support the Jos Hate Brigade coming after the Ocons, also what is up with Anthony Hamilton👀👀 i am honestly getting irritated with people acting like Jos is the devil incarnate, completely ignoring how Max seems to have a pretty good relationship with him (and that radio message telling him how proud he is of him was actually so sweet)
Anthony Hamilton remortgaged his house, and quit his full time job in IT (I believe to be a contractor) to manage Lewis’s karting career. All this while he had a wife and other kids to support.
Nowhere near as bad as Ocon’s parents because while Lewis likes to insinuate that he crawled out of the gutter like a Victorian street urchin, the Hamiltons by all accounts, were a middle class family (owned property, Anthony worked a steady, skilled job). Him quitting his job didn’t mean he didn’t have income, as far as I’m aware. Contracting work pays a lot more than fixed income, you are just able to take breaks in between contracts and have a more flexible schedule, and he had the skills to return to full time work if he wanted. So not as far as betting his family’s future but still..pretty sure Lewis was about 9 at this point.
Also, he managed Lewis’s career for a long time. He was the meddling parent. Lewis eventually fired him in I think 2010. It came out that Anthony had misled Lewis over a deal that had lost him a lot of money (around 20 million if I remember right), which Anthony tried to conceal because he thought he could fix it. Lewis fired him and they then weren’t speaking, but Anthony publicly claimed that Lewis owed him about 4 million for his services as a manager. Lewis said last year that having his dad as his manager meant his dad basically wasn’t able to be an emotional available father to him.
All that, and I believe that Anthony was the one who contacted Christian about a red bull seat last year without Lewis knowing, because he’s still a meddler.
He just seems like he lived through Lewis. He gives interviews saying nothing good ever happened to him (bro you’ve been married twice and have two kids…rude) but it did for Lewis, and how driving for Ferrari was always his dream for Lewis. He also just has that same “life was oh so tough for me poor me” vibe that he seems to have forced on his son. It’s crystal clear he was the pushiest of dads, which don’t get me wrong, you need in order for a kid to be successful, but to choose to be a manager rather than a father when it matters…is he your son or your product?
Idk, he’s giving Jos Verstappen, and not in a good way. Lewis talking about his experience with his dad and comparing it to Max’s the other week in the press was the only time I was like, “yes king speak”. And to be fair he was very respectful. But he point blank said he knew how unhelpful it was when the lines get blurred.
On the Max note, I always say Jos wouldn’t get the wrap he does if more people knew what it takes to get a kid to this less of sport. Jos made his mistakes 100% but you won’t get your kid to F1 by being the perfect parent. Also, Jos did a lot wrong but you can see he probably did more right. People overlook how rare it is to be able to have the relationship he has with Max. To be Max’s age, with Max’s achievements, and his resources, and still want Jos around that much and for them to be that close, that doesn’t come from a relationship with no positives. People act like Jos was tough on Max 100% of the time, but if he wasn’t emotional present, Max wouldn’t want him around all the time, in a personal capacity. He has said many times that he calls Jos for advice on personal stuff. The fact that Max’s favourite song is still the one he used to listen to in the van with Jos on their way to Italy speaks volumes. And for all his “Verstappen 2.0” shit, it’s clear that he appreciates Max as a son. And he seems to have a good relationship with his other kids. (My controversial theory is that he is a soft girl dad but that’s a whole other thing). But yeah basically I think he is over-roasted by people who don’t really understand the industry of high performing kids.

You never forget your power (LH44)
Lewis Hamilton x reader
warnings: fluff and heartbreaking
mentions of Abu Dhabi 2021 (not blaming anyone, just the fia, not max)
My eyes were full of tears
My heart was shattered into thousands of little pieces
And I knew at that moment, his would be into million
I look around me at a panicked and frustrated Mercedes garage, with all the mechanics swearing loudly in British slangs, Bono’s face in his hands and Suzie Wolff trying to calm her extremely angry husband.
I looked up at the big screen at the center of the track, only to be faced with a disappointment Lewis, who had raised his visor and his eyes were taken over by disgust and sadness.
What just happened was truly unfair! This title was stripped from his hands the very last moment. Disobeying the rules? This is what we’ve come to? I shake my head and try to shut off the noises around me.
Happy screams, fireworks and chantings were not things I wanted to hear at the moment. My stomach was twisting around. The podium moment was now and I can say that I’ve never felt more awful in my life.
I couldn’t bare looking at Lewis. I wanted to run up and give him the biggest hug. In all the years we’ve known each other, from little kids, he always fought like a true champion. He proved this seven times already.
Max was also a young man who wanted to show the world his talent. Everyone was happy for him. After years of fighting, he reached his ultimate goal.
This season, has been the most horrifying and breathtaking I’ve ever witnessed. I’m glad to say that it’s over. The feeling it left behind is bitter than anything. A win would have made it bittersweet, to say the least.
I could see Max’s father, Jos, side eyeing Toto, I walked a bit towards the boss’s side. His gaze was focused on Lewis, who had a blunt but teary look on his face. This was a hit for Mercedes right where it hurts. It hurt their pride. It hurt Lewis’s pride.
All for a human error.
“If I didn’t want to be banned from the paddock or dropped by the team, I would have punched him” Toto let out quietly, as his wifey caressed his arm.
“I can do it! No one can tell me what to do!” I offer, of course always joking.
“Y/N, darling please. For now, just stand by Lewis’s side. He needs you more than ever” Suzie gives me a gentle smile and I reply with an equally bright one.
“Don’t worry. I would never leave him alone”
“When is this bullcrap ending?” The angry Austrian man said, talking to himself
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Lewis had finished with press and interviews, I was waiting for him at his driver’s room. My heart was racing and I couldn’t bare the thought of a sad version of him.
When he finally entered the garage and he saw me, his movements were faster. I opened my arms and he immediately threw himself at me. I could hear his deep breathing and slight sniffles. I didn’t want to pity him. He is a very strong and capable man. He knows though, that I will always be beside him.
“I guess the peak ended” he said quietly
“I truly hope you’re joking!” I grabbed his chin, for him to face me
“I’m not. Max is a very fucking fast and good driver. I can’t do much about it” Lewis replied still not looking me in the eyes
“If you say another bullshit in the next minutes I will walk away” I warn him! He shouldn’t degrade himself because he lost
“It’s not bullshit Y/N it’s the truth. I’m not good enough” he murmured underneath his breath
“Why are you being like this? You’ve lost again. It’s not the first time but you didn’t act the way you are now!” I raise my voice, which I immediately regret
“I was younger then. I was hungry for more. I still am. But I think my time has come to an end” I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs when he said that
“Even if you want to give up, I won’t let you! I won’t let you drop your entire career because of this!” I cupped his face in my hands and his gaze finally focused on me
“There’s no point in staying Y/N. We all have an expiration date” he says those things with suck ease, I truly hate it.
What he said truly affected me, but I believe that what I said to him afterwards left him speechless too
“So you’re saying that me falling in love with you, will expire soon?” I blurt our and Lewis’s eyes widen. Surprise and shock were written all over his face.
“You’re in love with me? Since when? How?” He was very confused by my statement and I was afraid he might have been scared too
“A year ago. The moment you crossed the line at the Turkish Grand Prix and won the seventh championship, I realized what my true feelings were for you. And that I would follow you to every corner of the world, and support you no matter what!” I said in a quick exhale and then try to catch my breath
“Good. Because I would refuse to have anyone by my side but you. You make me a better person and you’re the reason why I’m mature and want to learn more about life. You give me life” Lewis, leans forward in order for our foreheads to touch lovingly.
“Lewis, I don’t care if you win, lose, get a podium, not get a podium. I will forever be a supporter of yours through thick and thin”
“Like you always have!”
“And I always will. Never leaving you”
“Please don’t. Being close to you is intoxicating and simply brightens my mood. You boost me and make me improve constantly”
“I love you Lewis. Please never forget that”
“I love you too Y/N. And I am more than thankful to have been gifted with your friendship and now your heart. I promise not to break any of those. I will forever protect you!”
Harry Styles' Sonic Evolution: How He Grew From Teen Pop Idol To Ever-Evolving Superstar
Tumblr media
Harry's House' not only gives Harry Styles his most GRAMMY recognition yet — it serves as a testament to how much he's expanded his sound over his already storied career.
GABRIEL AIKINS | GRAMMYS/JAN 25, 2023 - 12:02 PM
Watching 16 year-old Harry Styles walk onto the stage for his "The X Factor" audition in 2010, it's remarkable how little some things have changed in the following 13 years. Though his rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" was rather unpolished — even receiving a "no" from judge Louis Walsh — his magnetic charisma and natural talent were more than evident. And at just 16, Styles clearly knew he was on the right path.
"Singing is what I want to do," Styles said in an interview before his audition. "And if the people who can make that happen for me don't think that I should be doing that, then it's a major setback in my plans."
Of course, so much else has changed in the ensuing decade. Styles was tabbed alongside other contestants Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik to form the group One Direction. As the band stormed the charts and captured the love of fans globally, Styles grew into his abilities — and now, he's achieved a rarified level of fame.
Even after being part of one of the most successful boy bands of all time, Styles has reached new heights of superstardom in his own right. In addition to selling millions of albums and selling out arenas around the world, he's starred in four feature films and became the first male cover star of Vogue magazine. The depth of Styles' charisma and drive he's shown from that first audition have made him an all-encompassing star like few before him.
While Styles was a solo star as soon as he emerged in 2017 — selling out his first-ever solo tour and debuting his self-titled first album atop the Billboard 200 — he has dominated the 2020s. His second album, 2019's Fine Line, spawned his first No. 1 hit in the U.S. in 2020 with "Watermelon Sugar," which also earned him his first GRAMMY in 2021 for Best Pop Solo Performance. But 2022 was the year he took his stardom to the next level — and it all began with an invitation to Harry's House.
The lead single of Styles' third album, "As It Was," became undeniable, debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100 and spending 15 weeks there — the most in history for a British act. And when Harry's House arrived less than two months after "As It Was," it was clear that 2022 was the year of Harry.
The album, featuring smooth electronic beats and funky bass riffs, went platinum in the UK and US, put four songs into the Billboard Top 10 at the same time, and earned Styles the most GRAMMY nominations of his career. His six nominations for the 2023 GRAMMYs include his first in the coveted Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year categories; Harry's House also earned a nod for Best Pop Vocal Album and "As It Was" is up for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video.
If you ask Tyler Johnson — who has co-written and co-produced the majority of Styles' three solo albums — the GRAMMY nominations may just be Styles' biggest validation yet. "It's really the music community recognizing him as Harry Styles — [his time in the band] is just another part of his resume, it no longer defines him. And that's really exciting."
In reality, Styles hardly ever let his past define him. Even Johnson sensed Styles' star power upon meeting the singer in 2015. "When I first met him, I knew a lot about him from the band, but it was obvious he was a star," he recalls. "Especially how he performed in the vocal booth, it was very brave. I was like, 'Wow, this person has no barriers.'"
With no barriers comes a willingness to always try something new — which is why the Harry Styles of Harry's House sounds much different than Harry Styles of One Direction. The change was heard immediately back in 2017 on his first solo single "Sign of the Times," released ahead of his self-titled debut LP later that year. It's a rock track to its core, starting with hearty piano chords and building to a crescendo of wailing electric guitar and crashing drums. This initial offering was a sign of what was to come, as Harry Styles is built on these rock sounds from beginning to end.
Even if reviews weren't outright surprised by this sound, they noted the seemingly brand new, well, direction. "Few people probably predicted the 23-year-old ex-One Direction superstar to drop the kind of album that makes your uncle or your mom perk up," read Variety's review. Pitchfork mused, "If you only know one thing about Harry Styles, it's probably that the album bucks the established trends governing bids for young male solo pop stardom." Styles becoming a rock star was something new, but looking back at the totality of his work, it's not quite as surprising as it might be at first glance.
When assessing the music of One Direction, the singles will of course stand out. Tracks like "What Makes You Beautiful," "Live While We're Young," and "Best Song Ever" are big and boisterous, with infectiously fun hooks. And while each of the group's five albums had rock influences — queue the Clash-like electric guitar opening of "Live While We're Young" — they're all pop projects at their core. And the writers and producers behind them were pop masterminds, too, including Rami Yacoub, Steve Mac, Ed Sheeran, and Ryan Tedder.
By nature of an essentially constant touring schedule and working with so many other people — especially the four other members of the group — there was simply less opportunity to write. Across the 86 songs in the band's discography, Styles has writing credits on only 21 of them, whereas he serves as lead writer on every track on each of his three solo albums.
"I think it was tough to really delve in and find out who you are as a writer when you're just kind of dipping your toe each time," Styles told Rolling Stonein 2017, recalling some of the struggles of being in a band. "We didn't get the six months to see what kind of s— you can work with."
Listening to the songs Styles did have a hand in writing for One Direction, though, the throughline of his career becomes clearer. Even the earliest tracks he co-wrote include key elements to his later songs.
The chorus of Up All Night's "Same Mistakes" takes his penchant for lyrical repetition, creating a folksy call-and-response feeling and pairing it with powerful guitar chords; he uses a similar pattern on Harry Styles' opening track "Meet Me in the Hallway." Made In The A.M. ballad "If I Could Fly" is strikingly vulnerable lyrically and melodically minimalistic; this combination is seen on Styles' solo ballads, like Fine Line's "Falling" or Harry's House's "Matilda."
Styles' solo success also stems from his versatility. Alongside folksy ballads, he has an ear for rock songs to fill a stadium (and after completely selling out his 2021 and 2022 Love On Tour stretches, stadiums may be where he's headed next). "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?" is one of One Direction's most anthemic tracks, tailor made for karaoke or shouting alongside a crowd. It's no surprise Styles is the sole One Direction member on the writing credits for it, and you can hear that same exuberance on his solo rock anthems, from Fine Line’s ultra cool smash "Watermelon Sugar" to the funk rock-infused "Late Night Talking" on Harry's House.
In a 2017 New York Times interview, Styles explained his rock influence — and really, his musicality as a whole — stems from his own musical tastes. "I really wanted to make an album that I wanted to listen to," he said of Harry Styles. "That was the only way I knew I wouldn't look back on it and regret it. It was more, 'What do I want to sit and listen to?' rather than, 'How do I shake up compared to what's on radio right now?'"
Judging by the elevated sounds on Harry's House, Styles' musical interests have grown as he has evolved as an artist. While there are hints of his previous writing and growth on the album, Styles incorporated so many new elements, and that's what makes Harry's House so interesting and so refreshing.
Funk pervades the record, with synths and stylized loops fleshing out tracks like "Music For A Sushi Restaurant" and "Keep Driving." There's a constant sense of playfulness throughout all 13 tracks — something that was apparent to Styles' collaborators long before the world got to hear it.
"Harry just said that he's never been more proud of anything, and Tom [Hull, better known as producer Kid Harpoon] and I are just there for the ride," Johnson says. "We didn't feel too caught up in the kind of reality of who he is and having to put out an album very specific to the commerce side of it. It was a lot of having fun and just kind of burying our heads in the sand and enjoying doing it. That was very different from Fine Line."
Styles can seemingly feel his evolution himself, too. In a wide-ranging interview with Zane Lowe upon the album's release in May 2022, Styles revealed that he tried not to take direct sonic influences on this record like he had in the past. "I kinda felt like you can reference things by the emotions that they evoke," he said.
The same interview points out how much more comfortable Styles has become with being flexible and fluid, both in his own writing and his collaborators. And now that he's found his right-hand men in Johnson and Hull, he finds it easier to bring his ideas to life. This has allowed Styles to continue to expand his writing, and that resulted in an album that launched his superstardom to even greater heights — and showcased Harry Styles simply having fun.
Now 28 (almost 29!), Styles has been a beloved star for nearly half of his life. In that time, fans have watched his musical abilities mature, morph and expand; he has shown a willingness to always have an eye on what comes next — and that forward thinking paid off in a big way in 2022. However he evolves next, it seems Styles will never lose the drive and endearing charm the world first saw on the "X Factor" stage over a decade ago.
"He's a very similar person. He's a very consistent, loyal, kind person, very focused. That is all the same," Johnson insists. "He's just doing what people do when they do it more and more — he's focusing in on who he is more, he's gaining confidence, and he's becoming more and more himself — which is a very potent thing."
To honor that we are getting puentalay as dads in the next our skyy 2 episode.
Many of you guys not knowing what is going on in this series and getting confused with the whole different universes and body swapping thing.
✨I am here yet again to try to explain and spoil the series a bit.✨
get yourself something to snack on, a drink and make yourself cozy because here i go again.
btw read my last kali tries to explain my gear your gown here 😜
first of all a few trigger warnings: major charcater death (the accidents they had), minor character death, singing
...this time i spare myself the trouble going to IMBD to find the summary. And i go to the source with a slight editing from MDL
Tumblr media
Sounds pretty darn cool and easy plot to follow right? right? It kinda is. Two dudes have an accident and find themself in a new body and have to work together to get back to their universe. While also keeping the bodies they switched save and not feck up their lives.
I think the most confusing part of this series, ist the bodyswaps and all the characters. Which is much in the first few episodes, and p' nut did an good job trying to via visuals cutbetweens the characters in the same scene.
Lets go over the mainroles and some of the many guestroles we were being feed in this series.
Tumblr media
like this list also goes on and on
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets start with the two characters that we are going to follow through this series.
Tumblr media
We first meet talay while he is on a job interview for BFB the firm he really wants to work as a colorist for. While he still is in this universe he meets puen twice one time when he waits with his friend gyo on the airport and the other time is when he helps out his other friend joe on a movie set (he plays a corpse).
After his accident while going swimming while drunk he travels universes and wakes up in a hospital in tess's body.
Tumblr media
Now we have puen, we first meet him on said airport where is getting of the plane. We gonna see the most cutest but also awkwardest meet-cute to ever meet-cute in a airport bathroom. (Don't look at me like that YOU WILL SEE if you watch IT okay?) He is a famous series actor, that still helps out on smaller movies. thats where he meets talay for the second time and gives him some little acting tips.
After his accident while driving drunk (are we seeing a pattern here?) he wakes up in tun/parkorns body while parkon was on a trip with his two best buddies and scriptwriting team.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now let me show you the other two characters, puen and talay swap places with in the other universe
Tumblr media
This is tess, we don't really get to know know tess maybe in the last episodes and from what talay hears from tess's friends and family.
The things we know is that he is a spoiled rich kid, that loves to go drink with his two best friends kita and fuse (also two spoiled rich kidz) and has a very colorful wardrobe.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
This is parkorn, a screenwriter that works a million jobs to keep himself afloat. Because he and his two best friends aou and up are trying to write a script together, so they can show the the firm 26 pictures tess's dad owns, that they can write a good one. Had/has a crush on tess (don't look at me we all know love makes blind)
Tumblr media
These two are his best buddies. Up is the one that is good with writing comedy and aou is the one that is good at writing everythingelse
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And let us not forget the guest stars in oder of appearance in the show (usually, between one or more per episode. But there are some without any)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the ones that appeared in more then 3 episodes
Tumblr media
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh we also have a color for each episode it was a wild ride everywekk which color would be the next one. There were so many post trying fo figure it out but now since it's ou and everyting we know them all.
Tumblr media
and they delivered with the colors, and put talay in all of these, it was *chefskiss*
And don't let me forget about the fucktons of sponsors this show had. At the time this aired together with the eclipse and to keep the eclipse as free without silly add scenes as possible. Took vice versa the the most of them and BOY where they wonderful, cheesy, cringey but good.
Tumblr media
It has a reason i am tagging vice versa post always with lays vice versa.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...this time i'm really going to try to keep the plot short and easy to understand
the series starts with talay in a job interview with BFB where he talks about colors and what color he would associate with the interviewers (he associate one of them with brown like horse shit and well it works he gets the job but still hahah)
talay is kinda bumbed out because of that when he haning out with his friends. Gyo, one of his friends asked talay if he made the gift she needs the next day for her favorite series star.
the next day gyo and talay are at the airport and wait on a gate for said star to arrive. But they are at the wrong gate and have to hurry over to the right one.
We get the most cutest yet also very awkward meet-cute to ever meet-cute. The first meeting of puen and talay and the lama/alpaca bucket hat. (Pls everybody wash your hands after you go to the toilet don't be like talay it only works because puen was struck already)
Tumblr media
after this gyo tells talay that joe his other friend needs and extra for his movie, and because he still is waiting for an answer from his job interview, he says yes.
at the movie set, he has to play a corpse "..just be a corpse and lie down" this is also the place where talay meets puen for the SECOND time.
while filming his scenes (and fucking up many times that puen had to give him some tips) with puen talay gets a call from the firm he had a job interview with. AND THEY HIRED HIM 🥳
Cut to talay sitting at a bar with his pc and working on projects he needs to finish before he goes to work, while also getting very drunk
his friends pull him away from his work and drag him to the beach and the sea.
talay swims out a bit to far out and he gets a cramp in his legs and has his accident (i just love how there the screen flips upside down and you are like OKAY its happening)
Tumblr media
talay wakes up in a hospital bed and gets greeted by tess's parents the mom is worried and the dad is scolding talay about being very reckless.(oh yeah thats what tess also is very reckless and stupid)
Our dear beloved talay is very confused about all of this and tells these people that he has no idea who they are. Tess's father is not having any of this. The mom cuts in and makes talay fake cry so the father stop scolding him. (it works and is very hilarious)
after this he goes to the bathroom and sees that he no longer is in his body, and that the face that is looking back at him, is no longer his own but a guy named tess. (the cut between talays and tess is soo *chefskiss*)
the first thing he does after he realizes that, is that he tries to run away from the hospital, which he fails.
We meet kita and fuse for the first time, the bring "tess" some alcohol and tell him to drop the amnesia act. We get some info about the three of them, they are all no golden sons and that they "don't finish university soon" "because they would have to take over the family businesses, damn boring"
talay asked why there is no google and why he can't find the firm he is he as talay was hired for. Fuse tells him that there is only qooqle and that the only movie company that there is, is 26 pictures that tess's dad owns.
we meet a nurse that knows what happend to talay, because they whent through the same thing. This nurse was a male nurse in their universe and their name is dol. Dol promises talay to bring him to a place were he will get answers to all of his questions.
2 weeks later talay gets picked up by dol and they drive to the place dol was talking about. They encounter two men in a car that have a sign on their car that says "JUST MARRIED"(AkkTheo are married now) forcebooks guest-apperance.
They talk about what changed and what is still the same in their universe.
They enter a building where the association of thai citizens in the alternate world is located. You can only enter the association when you know the password. The password is some kind of line from a bl drama (the girlies love 2gether and are sarawat stans and most of them are from him)
We meet joob the head of the associaction, she will explain to talay how to get back to their universe
Tumblr media
find the person that matches you (your portkey) >> do the thing you need to do here >> dream >> go to that place >> get back to you universe
talay tries to find his match/portkey with zero success (he tried once standing in some kind of cafe with a shirt that said IF YOU KNOW ME SAY HI)
talay decides to look for his match in tess's surroundings, he finds a yearbook with a few pictures in it. One picture catches his attention, it's tess with another boy named pakorn, he reads the name of the person and tries to call him on the spot (talay you can't just call people you might not be that close to anymore)
fuse and kita beg talay to go out drinking, the bring him back to the club where tess got beaten up. Talay gets more infomation on what happend to tess that night, that someone nice called an ambulance for him.
talay wants to know who it was and kita and fuse try to bribe the barworker to let them look over the security cameras.
It was pakorn that called the ambulance for tess, talay is getting surer that pakorn is going to be the person thats going to be his match.
talay meets up with a friend from tess's highschool that knows pakorn. This friend looks like talays friend joe from his universe but his name here is parmote.
parmote explains to talay why he calls pakorn tun and after talays asks him where he could find pakorn/tun and parmote gives him a stack of business cards. And that today he is playing at a friends bar
talay heads over to said bar and learns three things:
counting starts at the thumb with one, if you hold up your pointer finger it means two.
that pakorn can't sing.
and beer is more expensive as wine.
talay tries to talk to pakorn, but he keeps running away from him, sad and exhausted he goes back home, where tess's big brother is waiting for him. The brother begs him to just atleast show up for work at the filmmaking company. Talay jumps at this opportunity.
because he meets pakorn here again, who is trying to sell a script he is writing with his friends. They argue and pakorn leaves again
..off to episode 2 (yeah all this was episode one..but you need this i think)
talay is really bummed that pakorn is still avoiding him and tries to get help from the dol and joob. Dol tells him that it it's like when you are hitting on someone, that you need to keep pushing
thats what talays does, he shows up anywhere pakorn is and tries to talk to him. At one of these events he meets parmote again and he tells talay that tess once hit on and dated someone pakorn liked and that this maybe the reason is why he avoids him.
talay still tries to figure out if pakorn also is a universe travler but he is walking against a wall.
he follows pakorn to a bar were he meets up with up and aou and is about to tell them that he didn't sell their script. Talay jumps in and tells up and aou that pakorrn is wrong and that he did sell the script to the firm.
we learn how the three of them became a script writing team, all three went there separately and got told off from tess's dads firm because their scripts were lacking things. The meet there and decided to show them that they can write a good script together.
Tumblr media
talay talks to dol that he is very sure parkorn is the one that matches him and also is a universe traveler. Dol reminds him that he has to test if parkorn is one of them and if not that talay has to move on.
but pakorn and his friends go on a month long trip to finish the script. The left their phones with the their barowner friend.
there are a few timeskips in here the story continues after this month, we see talay with tess's friends kita and fuse in a club, they tease him because he acts as if he got dumped.
talay meets the girl that he "stole from" pakorn, turns out he got dumped by her because she found out that pakorn liked tess and not her.
talay goes back to the bar and he tries to drink his sorrow away, the barowner tires to cheer him up that he could request a song. And he writes a whole ass letter on that little piece of paper on how he lost all hope of getting back.
as he gives the letter back to the owner, up and aou enter the bar with pakorn in in tow. But it is no longer the pakorn we meet because it's puen now.
Tumblr media
puen plays a the song miracle, that talay and him only recognize because it's from their universe.
we learn that pakorn had a car crash and thats how puen entered the universe. (trust me when i saw this for the first time i was HUUh)
puen and talay get to talk and both are very relived when they find out that they are both universe travelers. Talay promises puen to tell him all about this univerese and how to get back later.
talay asked puen what hes done for a living in the other universe, puen tells him that he was an actor but that he is not telling him his real name and that he should call him tun. And when referring to the body he is they should say pakorn so they won't get confused. (again when you watch it the first time your head goes why what okay? ?)
puen asked talay, if he ever runs into problemswhere he should go and talay (yeah he drunk) tells him that he can come to him. (at this point puen is already GONE, SIGNED SET DELIVERED HE IS TALAYS)
the next morning talay wakes up and finds an half nacked puen in his bed (don't worry nothing happend yet the only thing that happend was a whittle kith) he is only half naked because the room is to hot
talay was so drunk the last night, that he even tried to kiss puen and hoped thats how they could go back to their universe (puen.exe reall stopped working there)
Tumblr media
they eat breakfast and have a little conversation, where talay still tries to get puen to tell him his name. But he fails miserably
we get this legendary scene the "to be my wife, you mus endure"
and also we get the "You know what the first thing i going to say to you in our universe? Dang!"
they go to the association and fill out a little form to find they match faster. Talay is not happy about that because he thought what when i finds Tun he is done and done. Because he believes puen is his portkey.
They fill out the form and puen jokes around with his answers to cheer up talay a bit. After that they part ways for a bit to live their "new" lifes.
Talay gets a call from dol, telling him the matching is done and gives him a location where he should go. Puen also shows up ath the same location as he (trust me we all went omg yeeeeeeeeeees they haaaave to beeeeeeeee its faaaate seeeeeee)
We get the first romantic ad scene sponsored by the sugarfree icetea brand.
because both of them thought their are their matches they run away from the meeting point and their real matches can't find them (enter milk and loves guest apperance)
both puen and talay are not feeling it with their "matches" and ask dol for another test if they are the right one. They find a little maze. Dol tells they all have to go through the maze at the same time. And if you and your match find eachother at the same exit. They are your match/portkey.
milks and loves characters find eachother and the same exit. And so do Puen and Talay (the whole time when they are all in the maze you go like pls pls pls)
we find out that milks (som) and loves (pear) character clicked and are eachothers match.
Tumblr media
the two boys agree go scouting for locations for the maincharacter to hang out. We get the famous talay draws puens face scene. (that up later uses as their logo for their team)
they meet up with aou and up to discuss the ending of the movie they are writing, they decide on an open ending. Puen has to write the synopsis and the tagline for the movie, but he has no clue how to do that. Talay offers him help but puen declines, he can figure it out
5 days later and they have to present the script to tess's dad, but puen is missing and he has all the files. The boys try to reach him but no one can. Right before the meeting is chancled someone calls up, it's the police station udn guess who is there? A very drunk puen.
aou, up and puen have an argument about the promise they made with eachother when 26 picture first dind't buy their scripts.
talay asked puen what wrong with him and puen just answers, "i'm living my life the best that i can, as you suggested!" So he did what he never could do when he was an actor. Talay interrupts puen to correct his scentens " that he should live the best life of the body owner. Not spoiling himself."
Puen tries to apologize to his friends but he gets no reaction from them. He finds some notes that tells him more about the promise they made.
after a talk with talay, puen tries one more time to apologize to aou and up via a window. AND IT WORKS (i am still asking WH IS GONNA CLEAN THAT UP Heeee?)
talay and puen go on another scouting "date", where they follow a couple on their date, where puen and talay are trying to figure out if these two are for real are on a date. (these two totally are on a date.. i mean both couples were) We also get a little KFC ad scene.
they finish off their presentation at tess's condo and we get a another ad scene this time it's our favorite queen niveau acne care and it's in a bathtub. We get the cute " ..this can be used to wipe away dust, i should use it on your heart" line
they boys get to the new meeting for the script at 26 pictures, and they sell the script to tess's dad.
Tumblr media
the next time we see the boys all together again is when they meet up at a restaurant. And they try to figure out a name for their team. They all come to an agreement to call their team "FRIEND CREDIT" up even rented a "studio" for them (it's uptop of the very restaurant they were just eating at)
another timeskip it's 2 weeks later now, they boys are looking over the script and try to figure out something that the mainlead says to his love interest. Puen as the true sarawat stan he is quotes " you don't have to like me very much, just keep your heart open" line and everyone except talay are thrilled with this and they wanna use it in their film (well..puen is right, 2gether does not excist in this univerese..so there is no copyright stuff going on there)
we get a puen tries to make talay blush scene, but in the end talay makes puen blush
while driving talay home after a suprise test he had to take, the two of them find the perfect location for their film ending scene and also for their own love story.
they talk and joke for a bit, and then puen lets out the "..maybe the key to finding your portkey is love?" and "if you have to fall in love to get back" and "what if it's me" and "HOW ABOUT WE FALL IN LOVE WITH EACHOTHER???" (boy is already lost god save him)
Up and aou show up at the the location and up presents them their new folders with the drawing talay did of puen.
after that puen meets kita and fuse for the first time, fuse tries to bribe him for an acting job and kita and fuse try to make puen drunk, but talay is taking all of the drink for him and is in the end the one being drunk.
they end up at pakorns/puens flat, and its time for talay to tease puen for some mangas and a pair of pink shorts.
we get a cute little chocopie ad scene
puen has to be a photographer at a wedding of friends from pakorn. He invites talay along with him, when it's time to catch the flowers it's puen that catches them.
puen admits to the mc that he is infact hitting on someone, but that this person plays very hard to get while looking with the biggest hearteyes at talay.
puens hitting on talays era beings,but he always says after doing anything IT IS FOR THE SCRIPT which makes talay sad and confused. They have a huge argument and puen runs away and hides
talay after a talk with dol finds puen at ther special location we get another kiss
Tumblr media
FRIEND CREDIT finally start filming their first movie
puen meets an actor friend from their universe named pang (played by namtam) at the association. For a few episodes talay thinks that pang is puens portkey.
They promise eachother if any of them find their portkey they would still go back together. (we get the cute puen runs away like a little girl scene)
at the set of their film puen and talay see snow in thailand for the first time.
The film the boys wrote premieres and everyone is full of hope and excitement, just to get just negative comments and critics. (gun appears as third here but he is the only nice one everyone is missing khai)
the group is devastated after this and they disband for a while.
puen has a very livid daydream of him and talay living together (because he can't keep the flat he eh pakorn lives in)
talay visits puen at pakorns parents home (we see puen with an shavingcream beard it's hilarious) to play him some music and to tell him that he misses him (we get the "do you have any idea how long 12,960 minutes i wated for you felt like?" these boys and their times i am still yelling)
aou and up also sho up at pakorns home and they decide to try it one more time as a screenwriting team. (because they disbanded up sold the old studio they had, but to our boys LUCK there is an old RV in pakrons parents garden, that they just fix up and use as a studio then. Very convenient)
talay starts to fall for puen
joob and dol ask talay and puen if they could film a guide video for the accsociation. After a cute kfc scene we get informed that joob passed away, because the other person in their universe died.
Tumblr media
the boys meet at the new studio to discuss, what the new script should be about. Talay invited peng along to help them (And also because talay decided that puen should go back faster so he invited peng along so puen and her get to know eachother better and that puen can dream. Which is so hecking stupid but it's talay and he only wants puen to be happy and not to die)
they are going with a romantic NOT comedy (seriously i really would want to watch that movie okay?)
talay drops the "if we were eachothers portkeys we would be already back by now" (..yeah but you both haven't done the falling in love thing yet so you are very wrong boy)
talay is feeling really down when puen ditches him to do other things.
he visits puen again and we get the infamous carbo-narak scene ( i tell you tinn from msp watched this and made this his whole thing i bet he has a puen picture somewhere where he is like " we are really in it huh puen-poster?")
FRIEND CREDIT presents tess's father the new script and he is very happy. To celebrate this they boys go on a little trip
each of the writes down three wishes to hang it on the tree they want to achieve.
we get an amlost kiss between talay and puen, but it gets ruined by puen by asking if he can kiss him. (i am still to this day confused by this)
after a night of sulking talay visits puen again and tells him that he is going to withdraw from FRIEND CREDIT (this hecking felt like a brutal break up EVEN THO THEY WEREN YET TOGETHER)
talay gives tess's dad finished scrip of the movie, only to get told that there is not enough money to make the movie.
he find out that puen and peng are not eachothers portkeys
talay goes looking for puen and finds him infront of 26 studios yelling at the security guard. They hug and make up (the security guard behind the door must be like ohhhh 👀 🏳‍🌈!!)
Tumblr media
they boys need to figure out on how to make money for their new movie, talay tries selling tess's clothes on an headbook live (because i doesn't want aou,up or puen to sell things) kita and fuse are worried about talay because of this live. They say the are going to invest in their movie, if they can act in it ofc.
fuse tries to bribe aou to rewrite the role fuse is playing, but aou is not having it. (fuseaou my beloved)
they find a new director, when they meet him it turns out it is an old highschool.."friend" named mek (played by perth) of tess and pakorn. But said director is not on good terms with tess
mek tries to ruin the movie the boys tries to film out of revenge (just because tess ditched one role in a movie)
talay confesses to puen that mek looks like someone he liked in highschool. But puen is like i don't fear that he will take you away from him (talay and mhok almost held hands okay?? haha but also there will be jealousy)
Mek is making talays job as a producer really hard, makes him get an specific cameraman, tells him that they should edit the script again etc BUT he makes it work somehow. What makes mork real happy
fuse tries to get talay fo force aou to rewrite his character dr wayu (HA enchante called the soccer boy now is a doctor), but talay explains to fuse why that is not happening, because aou but alot of work into it.
while figuring out which cat to cast for the main lady, the encounter a delivery guy that totally looks like tay tawan and cast him for a role their movie.
mek confesses to puen that he secretly liked tess in highschool, and that "these feelings are coming back" (sad jealousy era puen)
mek wants to scout an art gallery with tess alone for a certain scenes of the movie. Puen also shows up to this scouting and soon feels like the third wheel. he goes moping in a dark galleryroom but gets found by tess all is good we get their BIG DAMN KISS AND LOVE YOUS IN THE END (hey boyfiends now)
mek sees them kiss and confesses that he already knew that pakorn aka puen had feelings for tess, but that he is suprised that tess aka talay also feels the same
they go out with aou and up to watch a movie and after that we get the pillow scene
fuse asked aou if could take him to the vet clinic so he can study his role better. Richboy works for a day shannanigans happen (mix plays the vet in question)
they celebrate pakorns birthday
talay and puen talk about going back to their universe, but puen let it slip that he wants to stay in this universe as long as he can (sad backstory time...but we won't get it from puen but peng is gonna tell talay)
they get in a fight about it, them being angry at eachother is also making aou and up tense and makes them also fight. (but don't worry they all make up in the end)
time for puens sad backstory time
time for fuse and aou to have a fight and a hurt animal bring them back together to work together to save the dogs live. (and yes the removing of a shirt was necessary)
talay is searching for puen to apologize and make up with him, but he can't find him. Up tells him were to find him.
puen is hiding on a island surrounded by water, talay is having a slight panic attack while putting his feet in the water because of the accident that got him here. but puen finds him and helps him to said island and they make up there.
back at their studio they celebrate their first anniversary of FRIEND CREDIT they give eachothers gift. Talay gifts them all buckethats..and well puen now realizes who his talay is (but talay still is in the dark on who he is loving, great riiight?)
Tumblr media
time for some adopting a pet together with fuse and aou (they call the dog lucky and it's soo cuteee) and we get this gem of a scene
their second movie premieres and this time the critics and the fans love the movie (puen and talay read them whil being snugled up in a bathtub like WHAT?)
talays world gets more and more pinker each day (as we know he HATES pink)
IT'S THE COLOR PINK THAT CONNECTS THEM THEY ARE EACHOTHERS PORTKEYS (sorry i am watching the scene right now and i just ahh the music the clips i am crying)
they say goodbye to dol in advance (is very emotional okay..bring tissues)
their new movie is gonna be shown not only at one film festival but two!
they go on a trip to the film festival, the night before they leave puen says goodbye to pakorns parents (next round of tissues)
after the festival is done, thegroup all read out all the wishes they had written down before puen ofc only lets talay read his
puen and talay say their goodbyes to their friends aou, up, fuse and kita
talay and puen sit together at an lake and talk, right before puen can tell talay his name, the later falls asleep.
talay DREAMS and is hyper to tell puen..but it's no longer puen its pakorn again
Tumblr media
to conclude the last two episodes of vice versa in a short form:
puen wakes up in an ambulance and is hellbend to find talay, he finds him but it is still tess in his body.
talay finds out about puens name and is hellbend to get to the place he dreamed off but the tide his making him wait over a month to get to the place he dreamed off.
puen visits tess just so he can look at his talays face (ohm in glasses is always a treat)
talay finally makes it back and finds out how tess fecked up his life. He is no longer a colorist for BFB, he was puens assistant but tess fucked it up also (what do we learn tess sucks..as talay and 90% as himself too)
talay begs BFB to take him back as a colorist and finds out that his boss is also a universe traveler. (they take him back ofc but on probation) He also has apologizes to his friends for whatever tess did to them.
talay gets some tickets for a movie premiere where puen also is. But he leaves before he gets a chance to talk to him. While getting some tim hortons he catches some of the livestream from the premiere he was on and hears puen talk about him and that he hopes to find him again.
talay goes to their speical location the greenhouse cafe and we get the dang scene
you can guess what they did next okay (even tho puen tried to pull and ..ohh i am not puen move but yeah they banged can't insert any more pictures BUT IMAGINE THE FISH GIF RIGHT HERE)
they eat breakfast and talay tries to make the conebread out of normal bread (I WANT TO SEE THE REAL THING TOMORROW ON TALAY FIGURING OUT HOW TO MAKE THEM HIMSELF)
puen is so in love with talay that he for e day forgets that he is a celebrity and that there a paparazzis he gets in a little drama of "puen kissing his old assistant?? puen LIKE MEN???"
to save puens career talay denies that they are together, but puen ain't having it and with the help of a video of a drunk talay explaining why he did it. THEY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER AND HAPPY
we get some "what is maybe happening over in the other universe" montage.
and talay finds their up and aou in their universe and befriends them.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think thats it thats the PLOT of vice versa..okay with a few little things missing so you HAVE to watch it.
I hope this masterpiece of a series makes now a little bit more sense to any of you. Or if you are now even more confused. (if so then i would recommend to have this open while watching it)
i love vice versa and i am still very glad it was my first real real BL i watched (i am not counting kinnporsche) and if i every get the chance to recommend a show it will be definitely be this show (@petrichoraline yes i will say this show and not futs as you would have thought! ha ❤😘)
still i have no idea on how to end these things..so ehh
taging people
Taika Waititi: “I just want to spend my money and enjoy it”
Tumblr media
As he talks about what a fabulous thing it is to be Taika Waititi, he occasionally glances out the window of the hotel to the gin palaces moored in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. So, which one is his?
“They’re all mine. I’m actually trying to get rid of some of these to make room for my QE3.” Everyone in the room laughs – there’s a Disney PR team with camera crew present for a small conveyor belt of local interviews with journalists under instruction not to ask our most prominent global celebrity anything unrelated to his new movie. But Waititi does present as a man who has done quite well for himself. That’s assuming the jewellery that is adorning his fingers, neck and ear is as expensive as it looks. Of course it is. The man’s been on the cover of Vogue, after all, albeit as half of a “power couple” with wife of a year-plus, UK pop star Rita Ora.
It’s not the Listener that has brought up the fruits of his success. Just before the boat quips, Waititi had been pondering the difference between being the young Taika following his creative whims and the 48-year-old one, who now doesn’t have the option of starting things – like multimillion-dollar superhero films – and not finishing them because he can’t be bothered. Add to that, he has so many irons in the fire, there is a risk of a stable overflowing with shoeless horses. That’s whether it’s writing that Star Wars film (“four pages,” he deadpans on how far he’s got), acting in pirate comedy series Our Flag Means Death, making videos for the All Blacks, among other corporate gigs, or supposedly doing remakes of seemingly everything he ever liked growing up. Yes, there is a New Zealand film on his to-do list. More of which later.
To that work-in-progress pile (“I’ve got a few irons underneath the other irons”) you can also add a redo of Mel Brooks’ classic comedy Young Frankenstein. The Jewish-American comedy great liked Waititi’s Hitler-spoofing Oscar-winning Jojo Rabbit very much – it reminded him of his own Hitler-spoofing good old days. He asked Waititi if he’d like to remake Young Frankenstein, the 1974 film starring Gene Wilder that was arguably his greatest big-screen comedy. You don’t say no to Mel Brooks. He is 97, after all. That said, Waititi says he could do with a break from the blacksmith shop. Right now, he says, “I just want to spend my money and enjoy it”. Well, reportedly, he has splashed out on that unobtainable thing for many Kiwi artists of his generation – a nice house in Auckland. The NZ Herald last month reported he’d bought a $10.5 million waterfront property in Point Chevalier, supposedly as a base for his joint custody of his two daughters with his former wife, producer Chelsea Winstanley.
We would be discussing his purchase – after all, who doesn’t like a natter about Auckland real estate? – but this interview is taking place back in April. Disney stipulated it couldn’t run until the local release of his new film Next Goal Wins, which it eventually bumped until the end of the year, having made its New Zealand staff redundant in the interim. Next Goal Wins is based on the true story – there was an earlier doco of the same name – about the American Samoan football team, the biggest losers of any Fifa World Cup qualifying round, having gone down 31-0 to Australia. It stars many familiar faces including Oscar Kightley, Beulah Koale, Dave Fane (“all of my mates – I think Robbie Magasiva is the only one not in this”). And, as the Palagi saviour coach, is Michael Fassbender, an actor not exactly known for his comedy. He plays Dutch-American Thomas Rongen, who became the team’s coach and lifted them from the bottom of the Fifa rankings, a little.
Tumblr media
It’s a film that seems to have been stuck in extra time. It was shot in Hawai’i in 2019. Then came the pandemic, which paused production for a year. Along the way, Armie Hammer, who played a minor role as an American Fifa official, became persona non grata due to a storm of sexual abuse allegations, which required reshoots with comic actor Will Arnett subbing in. “I was actually already changing that character in the edit and Will came in and played a different version of it,” says Waititi, who isn’t the first director caught with a cast member who’s acquired a toxic reputation. But all his films, even his modest budget New Zealand ones at the start of his career, have taken years. “This is just the normal Taika schedule … I started working on Star Wars three years ago. By the time I finish, it will probably be another four years from now.” Next Goal Wins debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and opened in North America last week. The reviews have been decidedly mixed. That’s possibly because, like his parody-risking Thor films, it’s trying to be two things at the same time – a feel-good underdog sports film with the coach trying to redeem himself, and a send-up of feel-good sports films.
The American-Samoan team featured Jaiyah Saelua, a fa’afafine who was the first transgender international footballer. Played by fa’afafine actor Kaimana in the film, the character is a big chunk of the story. Some reviews have wondered why the film’s whole focus wasn’t Saelua. Why wasn’t it? “Jaiyah’s story is really interesting, but I was not tempted, because I really wanted it … to be about that relationship between the team and Thomas. But also him and the team, because there are a lot of other interesting characters there … [Jaiyah’s story] wasn’t something that I was massively drawn to as the main thing.” Waititi wanted to keep things light and bright in what he has said is his least cynical film yet. By which he means? “It’s more just that in this film nothing bad happens to anyone. In all of the other films there’s some darkness there. Jojo Rabbit is probably the most cynical, but in a satirical way. But with this film, the message is on the poster: “Be happy.” I think one of the most important parts of the film is when Thomas says, ‘I can’t win’, and Oscar says, ‘Well, then lose, but don’t do it alone, come lose with us.’ That’s a really important thing. If it was in an American’s hands, it would be all about winning … I think it’s good to embrace losing but doing it together.” Waititi isn’t much of a football fan. He played as a kid for a while before switching to rugby. “I played it from, like, eight to 10. I just felt like it was a real white sport, so I was a bit turned off because all of my mates were playing rugby. I just enjoyed playing touch a lot more than waiting for that round ball to come my way … ‘Can someone, like, kick it to me?’ “Notoriously, soccer is one of the worst things to try to film, because it just always comes across as super boring … It’s bad enough watching it when you’re waiting for something to happen in a big game. But it’s just a hard sport to make look interesting on film. And I think we did a really good job.” Whatever Next Goal Wins does at the box office – and it’s unlikely to be troubling Oscar voters – you suspect Waititi’s life and career will continue on its seemingly charmed way. According to the man living it, it has always been thus.
“It’s like The Truman Show – everything has just been put in front of me, for me. Like, you’ve just been sent in here to entertain me for 15-20 minutes, then you’ll go and these people [the PR team] will do something for me. My mother says this to me all the time … I used to write stories about how the world was on fire and everyone was dying. My parents died and I was the only one who survived. I’m always, like, the star of my own show … This is basically my whole story, just for me.” There are words for that. “It’s called being a Leo. Oh, narcissism? It’s true.” But with that, he says, is the self-doubt of being a fêted figure but feeling a bit of a fake. “It all comes from a deep place of insecurity and imposter syndrome – all the things that everyone else in this industry has – the deep sense of not feeling like you belong here, or that you’ve gotten away with something, and no one’s found out yet. “Most people in this industry have that fear or that sense that it’s either all going to be taken away – the window is going to close – you’re going to be irrelevant soon, or that you’ve somehow stumbled into this undeservedly – that there’s been some sort of glitch or mistake, and no one has noticed that you don’t know what you’re doing. “If anyone asks me, ‘So, how do you make films?’ I don’t know. I don’t know any of the names of the equipment on set. All I know is what I’d like to see as an audience member in a rectangle on a big screen, and I’ll try my hardest to get that. “I think directing in general is just you making decisions fast and confidently, and then people will believe you and follow you.” Does he have anything left to prove? “Nah, I’m good. Film wasn’t even my dream. I didn’t have a dream of doing this, and I’ve already achieved it. I don’t care about anything other than just my happiness and my family.” His marriage to Ora has made him both tabloid-famous and a glossy magazine fixture. He also appears to have met everybody. Yes, he has been starstruck on occasions. Such as when Ora introduced him to Mick Jagger at a party. He gulped, excused himself and departed.
Tumblr media
“It was, ‘I’m not going to sit down and talk to you because I’m going to fuck this up, so I’m just going to walk away.’ ‘Have a good night.’ That was enough for me.” He will be busy for the foreseeable future with whatever is next on his Hollywood to-do list. But he does have the makings of a New Zealand film in a drawer somewhere. One of his early short films, Tama Tū, was about six Māori Battalion soldiers in World War II Italy. He’s been tinkering with an idea about a battalion feature. It is the “Don Quixote of all films that every Māori film-maker has been trying to make,” says Waititi. He’s not the only one – Muru director Tearepa Kahi also has one in the works. Waititi feels his is a good 10 years away. “I think the problem is we shouldn’t be making a Saving Private Ryan version of the Māori Battalion film because we’ve already got Saving Private Ryan, right? So, it has to be something that celebrates being Māori – the stories, the cool, amazing stories of the battalion. It’s got to be in our style, which means it has to be entertaining and fun.”
About Get Back/Let It Be.
Because I'm been wondering about the changed clipped and cuts from from the original. Both Estates and Paul and Ringo approved it. Do you think Paul and the rest are aware of it? And if they are, why is that? they should know by now that the fandom knows about the original clips. I don't mind the changed parts or that it made it look lighter because the way he said it, that it feels like it saved his life and that it showed his talent but he must be aware more than anyone that some parts of the fandom are saying that he is trying to re-write the history. Or maybe he really did see it they way it shown as more accurate. I mean he was there. What are you thoughts on this. I don't bring Ringo in this because I don't think he knows much + he seem to have left it behind him.
They're definitely aware of the cuts because Peter Jackson had to get approval from all four sides in order to get the documentary on D+. Apple Records is still the owner of the footage, the only thing Disney is doing afaik is licensing the footage and other Beatle products. This is to sell subscriptions to their failure of a streaming service. So I would imagine that 1) Paul and Ringo have watched all the remastered footage in full; Peter said he remastered all of it and 2) they got final say on what went into it, as well as Dhani/Olivia, and Sean Lennon as the executor of John's estate. (Yoko is no longer in the picture, the industry rumors online are saying that she is currently dying of dementia and that Sean has been fully in charge of the estate for a few years now.)
It's also important to think broadly about who the documentary is for. The number of people who are intimate with the Beatles, know the full story about their woes, the people who don't fall for Yoko's bullshit, and the people who have actually listened to the Nagra tapes, is a tiny tiny tiny TINY slice of Beatles fandom. I would even posit that this portion of the audience is only 5,000-10,000, maybe 15,000 people at best. That is a tiny slice of a global audience that numbers in the millions.
Paul and Ringo are completely safe and they know it. They know that their audience is made up of passive normies that believe everything they see without question. If you show a normie Beatle fan a picture of John and Paul gayzing at each other and tell them "these men are heterosexual" they will immediately go "of course they're heterosexual!" And they will not question it further. If you have them listen to a piece of the Nagra tapes, the normie would declare it "boring." These are the types of people who make up 95% of the Beatles global audience. Everyone on the estate side knows this very well which means they have carte blanche to do whatever they want, edit however they want, say whatever they want, and there will be zero (0) appetite to question them.
Just look at the wealth of interviews where Paul says insane shit and the journalist never ever questions him on it! It never occurs to them to question it or investigate further. This is not because they are dumb, it is simply because these people are normies. They passively accept everything they are told and there is no desire whatsoever to act any other way. They would be confused and distressed by anyone who wants to dig deeper.
Why Paul and Ringo and the estates called for certain cuts and edits is unknown and unknowable. We have no idea what they mandated, what they had Peter cut, or why. We also have no idea what Disney made Peter cut to put it on D+. Don't forget that the Beatles are not the only forces at work here. We don't know and will likely never know.
Re: your last sentence, I don't think Ringo has moved on at all. He loves the Beatles and is protective of them as a property. IMO it is more accurate to say that Ringo has grieved for the Beatles and that he let go of his survivor's guilt about the Beatles and John's murder as a part of his recovery from substance abuse. As part of that he finally integrated Beatle Ringo into Richard Starkey and now he can be fully comfortable in his skin as both. But he still loves the Beatles and still cherishes them deeply, he just doesn't get involved in the negative aspects because he's done his time with them. The cruelty, meanness and greed is what he's moved on from.
Hate is a Strong Word was so good! Would you please write something else for Karube? Maybe Angst with him getting jealous?
₊˚✧ mr. jealous
karube daikichi x gn!reader
masterlist
A/N: im so glad you liked hate is a strong word!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were currently laughing at some off-handed joke Arisu made. Karube was sitting next to you but you were barely paying him any mind. It was hard to get a date for everyone to hang out at once due to clashing schedules.
Karube would be lying if he said he wasn't even just a little bit angry that you were barely paying him any mind. Sure, the two of you spent a lot of time together, but it never hurt to spend a little extra time with your boyfriend.
Jokes and stories were exchanged as you, Arisu, and Chota caught up, with Karube being pettily quiet. "So, what's new with you Karube?" Chota asked when he noticed his friend being unusually quiet. "Nothing much." He mumbled, acting as if he was uninterested.
"Okay... How are things at the bar?" Chota tried again. "Fine." "He actually just got a promotion." You bragged for him. "That's great, man!" Arisu punched Karubes shoulder in a friendly way. "And you said that there was nothing new with you." Chota chimed in.
It was clear both guys were very happy for their dear friend, but honestly, Karube couldn't care less. There was an awkward silence that filled the room for a couple of seconds. "Well.. my break is almost over, I better be getting back to work now." Chota stood up.
"Yeah, and I have a job interview that I cannot miss if I want a place to live." Arisu joked as he followed suit.  "Let me walk you out." "They know where the door is." Karube mumbled. "Hm? What was that?" "I didn't say anything." You were skeptical but walked Chota and Arisu to the door regardless.
You exchanged your goodbyes and you made your way back to Karube. "What's up with you today?" You asked sincerely as you started to clean the mess the boys had made. "Leave it, I'll clean it later." You ignored his request just as he ignored your question.
"So, are you gonna tell me what your deal is?" You looked at him. "So, are you gonna tell me what your deal is?" He mocked. "Are you jealous?" You went back to cleaning. "No, I'm not!" He shot his head towards you. "You really are jealous!" You laughed.
"Pfft, no..." He tried to play it cool but the look you gave him told him he wouldn't be able to get away with it. "Okay, yes." He admitted with a defeated sigh. "Of Arisu? C'mon. No offensive to Arisu, but never in a million years." You reassured him in a joking way and left a small kiss on his lips.
"I know, I know, but If I see him ever look at you again, I'm kicking his ass." He got up to help you clean. You laughed at his statement. "That would be very interesting to watch." "I'd win." He flexed his muscles his left a kiss on each bicep. "I don't know, my money's on Arisu." You smiled and he just rolled his eyes. "You're lucky you're cute."
I know this is out of nowhere but do you have any tonynat fic snippets you can share with us? I really love your writing 🥹
Ahhhhh this ask means so much to me you don't even understand 🥹
Here's... a thing...? that started out as a response to a prompt from a million years ago, it takes place in a Hollywood AU, but in order to write for that AU I obviously had to develop the entire elaborate backstory, after which... I did not finish writing for the prompt I am so sorry 😭 it's in the works I promise
But for now, here's the backstory:
In the glamorous world of Hollywood, money alone wasn't enough to open doors. You also needed status and fame, the ephemeral currencies of Hollywood.
And Tony Stark was nothing if not Hollywood royalty. He grew up in the limelight, the only child of celebrated actors Howard and Maria Stark. He had cameos in blockbusters before he could walk, became a leading man at the age of sixteen, and made a name for himself as not only a brilliant actor but also a notorious playboy following in his father's footsteps. Everywhere he went he had a different girl on his arm, he courted the affections of a handful of men, and when an interviewer asked him about settling down, he shrugged off the idea with his trademark devil-may-care smirk.
Natasha Romanoff found it all rather amusing. Because for a year now, Tony Stark hadn't been going home to his sprawling beachside mansion with a carousel of beautiful and interchangeable men and women. He had been going home to her cozy townhouse, cooking dinner in her kitchen, and spending his evenings curled up with her on her couch.
It had started as a chance encounter at the friend of a friend's, which led to an evening of lively, engaging conversation over drinks. He had seen her debut movie, which came out eight months ago, a small indie picture about two sisters that made barely a splash critically or in the box office. But he had seen it, and he had some surprisingly deep and pointed insights into it. It proved to her that there was a brain behind all his bravado, and broke through any reservations she might have had about his status as the A-lister of A-listers.
Then Tony expressed interest in her new project, and she cast him in a supporting role. They spent a lot of time together during that project – two months in the middle of nowhere. When Natasha was deep in the mires of rewrites, shooting schedules, and editing, it was Tony who brought her a sandwich, a cup of tea, or an aspirin. Sometimes, he acted as a sounding board, letting her bounce her ideas and frustrations off him. Other times, he cajoled her into taking a break – watching old spy movies, going for a walk, or drawing her out of her hyper-focus with a lively debate over something as pointless as almond milk or the Star Wars prequels.
It was on one of these breaks, in the last two weeks of shooting, that she kissed him. It might have been in the middle of From Russia With Love, in the middle of a field at dusk, or  in the middle of a discussion about aliens. The details didn't matter – what did matter was that despite his reputation, despite the energy that fizzled between them, Tony didn't make the first move. That had always been reserved for Natasha. When she pulled back and asked him, "was that okay?" he smiled so that the edges of his eyes crinkled, and he said in wonderment, "no one's ever asked me that before", before he leaned in for another kiss. When their lips met, it was with a sense of inevitability, like they had been, all this time, finding their way to each other.
After that, the world shifted imperceptibly. It was the subtlest of paradigm shifts. Even after the shoot wrapped up and they went back to LA, and Natasha dove into the post-production phase of her film and Tony started shooting a new movie in his superhero franchise, there was no picking up their normal lives again.
chapter thirty three
in which orion has leukemia, and calum doesn’t know.
october 12, 2018 los angeles, califonia calum
“What’s been the biggest shift in making this record versus the previous one?” Yet another interviewer asks us the same question it feels like we’ve answered a million times.
“Y’know, we’ve all grown a lot in our personal lives over the past few years,” Ashton says, and Michael and Luke nod along.
“For sure, I mean,” Michael pauses to laugh. “We’ve all fallen in love, some of these guys have gone through some heartbreak, but overall, we’re just a lot more grown up.”
Some heartbreak. Minimizing what I’m going through right now to those two words is almost a lie because of how inaccurate it is. Orion is worth far more than two words, and I know that everyone in this room would agree given the chance. \
“I’d say everything is almost the same, actually,” Ashton adds on. “Like we said, we’ve grown a lot, but our writing and recording is a similar process.”
“But, y’know, we’ve added a lot of fresh elements to this record, like with the keyboard. We’ve tried to take on a hint of an electronic sound, too,” Luke says.
“Yeah, so we haven’t actually changed anything, but just with the way life works and how we naturally progress as artists, the final product is so different, but the process isn’t.” Ashton finally wraps up the answer, and the interviewer seems quite happy with it.
“It’s nice to watch how both you and your music evolve over the years. You guys have been together for seven years now, and some of you have been friends for far longer. Do you find that your constant growth impacts your relationships with each other? Are you ever outgrowing one another and having to play catch up? How’s that dynamic?”
My mouth chooses to speak before I do. “Well, Johnny,” I say. I have no idea how I managed to remember that this man’s name is Johnny, but judging by his unphased expression, I think I got it right. “We outgrow each other when certain people withhold certain vital information from other people and let things blow up in their faces when they could’ve prevented it.”
Luke laughs loudly and awkwardly at my comment, nervously looking at each of our faces. “Calum’s such a jokester, aren’t you Cal?” He asks, smacking my back harder than necessary.
I plaster on a fake smile, sucking it up and correcting the course. “Yeah, I’m just joking. These guys never fail to be there for me. Our relationships are always strong, honestly often strengthened by the ways we evolve away from each other sometimes.”
When Ashton starts talking next, it takes a lot of self-control not to lunge at him.
“Yeah, there’s nothing that could come between us. These are my brothers, you know?”
I don’t have to look at him to know he’s looking at me.
My smile, still fake, widens. “Oh yeah, nothing could ever break these bonds.”
After the interview ends, I don’t bother thanking the host or crew. I take off my headset and set it on the table before walking quickly outside of the studio, pulling my pack of cigarettes and lighter from my back pocket. It feels like such bullshit to have to sit there and act like I’m happy.
“Cal, I know you guys are having issues,” Matt says, following me outside. He looks annoyed, as usual. “But you have to reign it in.”
I puff out smoke and laugh bitterly. “We’re more than ‘having issues’, Matt.”
Matt takes a few steps towards me so that his face is right by mine. “I’m canceling shows for you. I’m canceling interviews so you don’t have to plaster on a fake smile more than necessary. Fuck, I picked up your drunk ex-girlfriend at the beach for you. You’re pissed at Ash. I get it. But you have to get your shit together. This is your job. This is something you chose. Grow the hell up and be civil for the twenty fucking minutes you spend on air with him.”
I roll my eyes. “It’s also the hours on stage and rehearsing, riding in the tour bus. It’s not just twenty minutes at a time.”
Matt rips my cigarette out of my hand. “Hood, I really don’t care. Keep your personal life out of your professional one if you’re not able to be a mature adult when your feelings get hurt.”
“Excuse me, who the fuck are you, again? Oh, right, a man that I pay.”
“You know damn well you’re not going to fire me and find another manager that will take care of you guys the way I do.”
I hold back then, because he’s right. Matt is an exceptional manager and he’s been with us for years. I can’t imagine where we’d be without him. “Fine. I just won’t talk in any interviews and I won’t talk onstage. I can’t promise I won’t repeat the shit I just said, so it’s best if I just don’t talk.”
Matt sighs, and then he surprises me by hugging me. “That’s fine. You don’t talk much anyway.”
Reluctantly, I hug him back. The words that just came from both of us wouldn’t have ever suggested we’d be hugging now, but here we are.
“If I haven’t said it, Cal, I’m sorry. She was incredible, and I can’t imagine how you feel right now. None of us saw that coming.”
I appreciate that Matt isn’t saying anything negative about Orion. Everyone who knows her knows better than to badmouth her. She’s doing shitty things, but she’s not a shitty person. She’s still the best person I know, despite how much she’s hurting me. I’m still in shock most days.
I go to text her when I first wake up each morning, and then am painfully reminded that I can’t. I can’t even see what she’s doing because she removed me as a follower on Instagram. It takes a lot of self control not to text her throughout the day, awake and sober, just missing her badly. I hope she’s doing okay. I know I’m not.
Performing in LA should be fun. Our friends and our friends who’ve become family all get to come. It’s our home field, basically. Backstage before the show, everyone was too happy.
They all took shots together, playing games of beer pong and just catching up after we’ve been away for a while. It makes me sick to my stomach, so I spend most of the time before the show outside with some of the crew, just smoking. Our crew knows me well enough to just leave me alone, smoking silently next to me for a while.
“There you are!” Roy’s voice suddenly sounds.
I smile at him. It’s a real smile. It’s nice to see him. “Hey, man.”
Roy grins, walking over and sitting next to me on the ground. “Just wanted to check in with you, see how you’re handling things.”
My bitter laugh, a sound I seem to be making a lot these days, falls from my mouth with a trail of smoke. “Like shit.”
He nods and stares at his hands. “I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but if I know anything about Orion, she’s gonna come around.”
I want to believe him, but I don’t know if I do. She was so determined to end things. It hurt to watch how badly it was hurting her to push me away. She needed to end things, for whatever reason she had for doing it. ‘Sparing’ me.
“Guess we’ll see in time.”
Roy sighs from beside me. “Your guys’ love was—is—so real, Cal. You can’t just shut that off.”
“She did it because she loves me. It’s fucked, but that’s why.”
The next thing I know, Roy’s practically giggling. It doesn’t make me laugh, but it does make me smile. His laugh makes me happier, somehow.
“Sorry, it’s not funny. That’s just, like, the most Orion thing I’ve ever heard.”
I smile, tears flooding my eyes. “Yeah, it really is.”
Roy and I hang out until Matt tells everyone it’s time to head to the stage. He gives me a hug and says he’s going to watch from VIP with the rest of our friends, and I join the rest of the band for our pre-show shots.
“5SOS on five?” Luke asks, handing each of us a shot glass.
“5SOS on five,” Mike confirms.
We count to five, yell ‘5SOS,’ hit our shots against each other’s, and then we gulp the burning tequila down. Everyone else has a chaser, but not me. I grab the tequila bottle and pour myself another, and another, and another.
After I’ve had four shots of tequila, I grab a beer from the fridge and my mic pack from its spot where it’s charging. The rest of the band doesn’t say anything but follows suit, and then we’re walking to the side of the stage.
“Let’s get this shit over with,” I mutter.
Luke throws a hand onto my shoulder and squeezes.
“If you need a break, just take it, okay?”
I nod and fight the tears that threaten to form. It’s our first show after the breakup, and I know I’ll be a mess if I think about it too much. Some songs are written for Orion, so those will hurt, but so will the ones written about breakups and heartbreak, which our fans joke is all we write about.
Ashton nods to us before he walks out to take his seat behind the drums. He bangs a brief rhythm, and then Mike walks out, his guitar slung over his neck. He waves to the crowd with a huge smile.
I put one foot in front of the other to make it to my spot, grabbing my bass from its stand. I walk up to my mic and nod at the crowd. The deafening screams have just been background noise this whole time, but now they’re accompanied by glaring stage lights.
When Luke walks out, the crowd goes crazier. He smiles as wide as Mike did, waving with both hands before he takes his spot, center stage.
On Ashton’s cue, we all start, and I curse the fact that our opener is a song that I have lead vocals on. I try to lose myself in the music, strumming the chords I’ve played a thousand times before, singing the words to the music I helped write but now feel like a foreign language as they blare through the speakers and the crowd sings along.
I’m able to operate on autopilot until we get to the brief section of our set that has a slower pace. Luke talks, and I drink a few long gulps from my can of beer. Once it’s empty, I hold the can up to a crew member, motioning that I’d like another.
“LA, we’re about to slow things down for a bit, but first I just want to introduce you to my brothers up here with me, in case this is your first 5SOS show.
“To my right, we’ve got the ever so talented Michael Clifford, the first one to join me in this lame ass band. To my left, we’ve got the stoic, beautiful bassist, and my best friend, Calum Hood. Behind me, our very sweaty drummer, Ashton Irwin!” The crowd roars with each introduction, and I just focus on the beer that a crew member trades out for my empty can. I crack it open and drink from it while I can.
“And we can’t forget, Luke Hemmings. Voice of an angel, our frontman, and the reason we’re a band in the first place!” Ashton takes over for him, and I don’t bother even trying to look at him. “Los Angeles, we hope you like this next one. This is Ghost of You.”
Michael starts playing before I can even get my bearings, and the words Luke sings cut deep as the whole entire room sings along.
If I can dream long enough,
You’d tell me I’d be just fine
I’ll be just fine
Every time I close my eyes, I have flashbacks of Orion. Smiling, laughing, running down a beach or telling me a joke on a walk somewhere in Europe. Happy, blissful, pure. My girl, before she fell apart, before her fucked up fate blew up her life and her dreams.
And I chase it down
With a shot of truth
The words ring too true to the shots I just took to drown out everything I’m feeling. I feel the tears falling fast down my face as I try to harmonize, but I give up and take a few steps back from my mic. Luke looks at me, holding his mic while he sings. He looks worried, so I have to look away from him.
I’m supposed to sing the second verse, but I know I can’t. As if they planned it, Michael sings it for me when he notices the look on my face.
Cleaning up today Found that old Zeppelin shirt You wore when you ran away And no one could feel your hurt
The fans go wild at Michael singing my verse. I can barely keep playing the few notes that I need to for this slow song, and thank god that they had a system in place for me inevitably being unable to sing my own verses.
All I can think about is Orion. She pushed everyone away. She pushed all of us away. She ran away from our home and is living in San Diego now. It hurt so badly to walk into our apartment last night when we got to LA to find it barren of her things. She’s gone.
The rest of the song is a blur, and I just play the bass off to the side of the stage, not even looking at the crowd. I just look at Luke and Michael and am grateful for them more than ever in this moment. I’m lucky to have bandmates like them who double as best friends.
When the song ends, Michael walks up to me with Luke in tow while the fans cheer.
“You good, Cal? We can take 5 if you need,” Mike says, reaching a hand out to rest on my arm.
I shake my head, even though I know the next song will be equally as painful, if not more so. “No. Let’s just get this over with.”
They both look at me with immense pity. I hate it. I walk back to my mic stand, determined to at least sing the first verse. We start Amnesia and I close my eyes, hoping that tears don’t fall while I sing.
I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted I thought about our last kiss How it felt, the way you tasted And even though your frie—
I have to cut myself off as my voice cracks and I step back from the mic, letting Luke finish it off for me.
You’re doing fine Are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he’s right beside you? When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you? Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie? If what we had was real, how could you be fine?
I step back up to my mic, needing to scream the last words of the prechorus.
‘Cause I’m not fine at all
I full on sob for the rest of the song, each of the lyrics hitting way too close to home. I don’t sing into the mic, but I sing to myself while I play and watch Luke and Michael sing the words to the crowd. For the most part, I face the back of the stage, toward Ashton, but ignore his very concerned glances toward me.
And the dreams you left behind, you didn’t need them Like every single wish we ever made I wish that I could wake up with amnesia And forget about the stupid little things Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you And the memories I never can escape ‘Cause I’m not fine at all
@5SOSUpdates: Cal barely sang tonight at the LA show. Luke & Mike picked up most of his solos and he cried during GOY and Amnesia </3
Ryan Ross has said, in a podcast appearance with friends in 2019, that he doesn't regret leaving PATD. Which is good. It's a terrible thing to live with regret.
A question I'd be more interested in, is whether he regrets that Panic got so big so quickly? Does he ever wish they'd had more time to mature, musically and individually, and to develop their sound and fan base over time? It may not have been likely from a clashing personalities point of view but I'm most interested in how he views the situation as a musician, whether he ever wishes they'd had more opportunities to focus on the music, which is hard to do when you're 19/20 years old and suddenly facing a crazy situation like Panic were thrown in when AFYCSO blew up.
I'd kind of compare Panic's situation to that of The Strokes with Is This It and the media frenzy that created, except The Strokes:
Were just a couple of years older - which makes a huge difference at that age;
Broke big just before the early days of social media and didn't have the teenage fan base with all the intense scrutiny, bandom and shipping;
Refused to do anything "commercial" (you wouldn't see them on a tour sponsored by a car manufacturer) so The Strokes kind of handicapped themselves with sales and promotion right there.
Also as opposed to Ryan, Julian Casablancas is the primary songwriter and lead singer, which gave him a control over his band that Ryan didn't have.
Just thinking out loud, but if Ryan gives any interviews in the future I'd like someone to ask him how he feels about this as a musician, rather than asking him about a quip he made about spray cheese 20 years ago.
About shippers, though.
The Strokes provided so, so much source material for shippers. What Brendon and Ryan hinted at in their stage act...
Tumblr media
The Strokes spelled outall the damn time.
Tumblr media
Then there was whatever Julian had going on with Jack White.
A direct quote from Jack White: "Julian stayed at my house and slept in my childhood bedroom, even wore my pajamas. He came into my room in the middle of the night thinking it was the bathroom and we laughed." (From Meet Me In The Bathroom)
Oh bandom shippers, why are you searching for crumbs from Petekey when there is this much juicy meat to gnaw on?
Tumblr media
I'm not implying that the Strokes had greater artistic integrity than Panic for rejecting commercial opportunities. For most bands, the dream is just to be able to support yourselves financially by making music, and even if you achieve that it can end at any moment. If you're offered commercial opportunities, you pretty much have to take them; this could be the one shot you have to establish some financial security beyond the grind of life as a touring musician. That wasn't an issue for the Strokes - (in)famously, most of them came from wealthy backgrounds. They could afford to say no to commercial opportunities - even if that didn't make sense to people in their inner circle. To quote Amanda de Cadenet, wife of Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi: "They're the band that turned down a million dollars for some Heineken ad. That's dumb. Ryan [Gentiles, the Strokes long time manager] has taken a lot of flak for not being able to do things that we all think they should have done, but nobody can get these fuckers to do anything they don't want to do." (Again from Meet Me In The Bathroom).
The main point of this post is wondering if Ryan Ross, as a musician, ever wishes Panic had had a slower burn, more of a chance to find their feet as people and a band before the onslaught of fame. But in research for this post I found photos I just had to share, and here we are.
ooh for that question game, øde and leo?
oooh thank you!! i’ll do them both separately under the cut:
øde first!
favorite thing about them
oh there’s so many things i could say about him. his smile, his laugh. the way he coped so beautifully with being in the spotlight way younger than a person should be. the way he loves arsenal and the way he captains us. his taste in music and films (the intouchables is the best french film ever made). the way he plays when he’s having a good day. the way he sounds absolutely insane sometimes when talking about his training routines and has to reassure the interviewer that he’s alright when they get concerned 😭😭 also the way he interacts with his teammates definitely it seems like they get a completely different version of him than what we see lmao
least favorite thing about them
there’s really not a lot lol but probably his media training. lord, the day he lets himself speak his mind is the day i die happy.
favorite line
the whole of his players’ tribune because it made me cry 😭😭 also him pointing to the completely wrong place in his hood and confidently saying ‘the oil is… it’s here.’ lmao
brOTP
oooh aaron/martin is very funny to me. aaron keeps switching between bullying him and acting like he’s god’s gift to the world every 5 seconds and martin is just eternally kind to him lol they have a cute dynamic
OTP
spent 5 years deliberating between a million ships (i have way too many rarepairs of this guy) but probably leo/martin they’re too cute man 💗
nOTP
there’s none i dislike, but i don’t really care for martin/declan sorry! not for me and i honestly couldn’t tell you why, i just avoid it lol
random headcanon
he is the lightest of lightweights 😭 and that he plays piano to relax but would rather die than play in front of anyone lmao
unpopular opinion
not sure how unpopular this is but he was/is put on a pedestal wayyy too much. it feels like a decent match for him is an excellent one for any else, and a ‘shit’ performance by him is a decent one by anyone else. i get so irritated whenever i see him be criticised for not creating when he scores, and then when he creates chances he gets criticised for not scoring :,)
as a person though, i feel like people make him out to be much more calm and sweet than he actually is lol. less so nowadays but he's definitely an emotional person? but more angry and passionate emotional than sad emotional ygm?
song i associate with them
you’re on your own kid by taylor swift, amoeba by clairo, and bhasseraah by racha rizk 🫶
favorite picture of them
Tumblr media
one of the first photos i saw of him and definitely my favourite. no contest. he’s such a loser i absolutely adore him.
trossibop here:
favorite thing about them
so many things here too, but definitely the way he looks exactly like a disgruntled raccoon all the time 😭😭 also how he manages to be so subtly catty all the time but gets away with it because his voice is sweet and he’s 5 feet tall. oh my god his voice is beautiful too. also he’s from maasmechelen which is basically in the netherlands so he’s basically dutch please leo transfer to our national te-
least favorite thing about them
sometimes when he plays i feel like tearing my eyes out (but ig that’s a given with this team) also the lack of dutch he speaks bro please
favorite line
from this video where kt is bullying the host and he so sweetly says ‘5/10 he’s never kicked a ball!’ and proceeded to get jumped lmao
brOTP
hmmm probably him and ben they both mesh well with each other imo!! loved their interview together and they were both cute at brighton but honorary mention to him and kai solely bc they both look generations older than they should and their height difference makes me laugh
OTP
i already said leo/martin so i’ll go with leo/kieran this time because they’re so cute!! they balance each other out so well and they mimic each others movements like they’ve known each other for years which is so adorable to me lol
nOTP
saw him and eden hazard and recoiled so hard 😭😭
random headcanon
he was definitely an emo kid when he was younger. i know he hissed at people on the playground and that. in all fairness if i was born with a white streak in my hair and eyebags like his i would hiss at people too. similar vein but i know he pretended he was a vampire when twilight came out.
unpopular opinion
probably unpopular idk but i much prefer him being subbed on than him starting… he always does way better when he’s subbed on!
song i associate with them
there’s a beautiful song/chant on spotify of trossard on the wing by ario brady which is cute and also drank & drugs by lil kleine 😭 (just trust me if you’ve seen any videos of him drunk it makes sense) and try again by jaehyun!!
favorite picture of them
Tumblr media
very old and low quality but he looks so cute 😭😭
Tumblr media
i cannot express what this photo means to me. him in interviews is soooo amazing to me i have no idea why. love him.
