🗨️ do you want to cry? 😭😭😭 This was devastatingly beautiful and so fucking sad! It was very hard for me to read because of all the cheating (I really don’t read those, because I don’t enjoy them). But this has been on my list since forever and I like the author 🥹 though, I will say that I appreciate it for the plot, so fucking sad and the writing is so wonderfully beautiful ✨ I am sure someone else might find it to their taste, which is why I recommend 💖

🗨️ okay. Okay. Okay. *deep calm breaths* —THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY GOOD, I truly don’t know where to begin! The plot? The hurt/anger? Their chemistry? Their sexiness? Fuck, like everything in this is making it a beautiful masterpiece 💯💖 I really love how each of them thinks about what happened with their relationship, are working to get better, though Jimin should have been honest about his intentions for the trip, everything was just so fucking amazing 😭 I really loved the aspect of self reflection, seeking therapy, working through it and all that— really payed of for the characters! Loved it, it was so good 💜

This month was another tough one for me (mentally) and I also focused a lot more on my writing, which meant that I didn’t get to read as much as I use to 😭 So this list is a bit incomplete, and I’ll put ‘to read’ sections under the members that I didn’t get to read. I hope May will be much better, but some personal shit has already happened to me, and I’m thinking about going on a hiatus, but reading and writing is what keeps me going, so I’ll try to keep going, just a bit slower maybe and give myself more time, and that it’s okay to not go things like I used to 🥹

SO HOT & SO CONFUSED (Billy x female!reader)

Warnings: no proof reading, mentions of murders, protective and possessive Billy, mentions of sexual desire, reader is a hot himbo.

You only arrived in Woodsboro two weeks ago, and yet it felt like you had always been there.

You didn’t know how that happened but the most popular people in school instantly brought you to their side, and everyone knew you and treated you kindly. You were invited to every party, you were greeted by everyone and even male teachers seemed to give you better grades.

You thought you had always been lucky in your life, because people were generally kind to you, and you enjoyed that.

You were kind in return.

However you disliked how men could sometimes be creeps to you. But weren’t they the same to every woman on the planet anyways?

This time it felt different, though.

No guy tried to annoy you.

And the one who tried, disappeared soon after and you never saw him ever again. Until his face was on every street of the town with a big “MISSING” beneath his picture.

To be fair, it happened a few times.

It also felt different because of Billy Loomis.

He was the hottest guy of the town and everyone wanted him in their bed at least once in their lives.

And you had to admit that you would also like that.

But you weren’t feeling bold enough to start flirting with him. Especially because you didn’t like drama and you were pretty certain every girl in school would start hating you if they saw you in his arms.

Good thing he was bold enough for you two.

Whenever you would arrive in school, you could be certain that Billy, sometimes closely followed by his best friend Stu, was going to spot you and to walk to you or to gesture to you to come closer.

You were almost certain that Billy was already dating another girl though. Sidney or Sandra or something like that.

You didn’t really care about her, as Billy’s charming presence was always making you forget all about the people around you.

You tried your best to never sit next to him in class or you knew you would never be able to follow what the teacher would say.

But sometimes you failed, because the man seemed to enjoy your presence a little too much for both your own good. He needed to keep an eye on you.

For the sole reason that he had never met a girl he so physically desired before. He couldn’t even imagine how your naked body would feel beneath his, nor how truly gorgeous you were.

He needed to make you his.

And that was why Ghostface was killing whoever was getting a little too close to you for his own liking.

He couldn’t share you with anyone else.

Was it Billy’s fault if you were the hottest gal he ever saw in his whole life?

The first time he saw you, he was smoothly talking to Sidney… and you made him forget his lines. Sidney had been quite pissed at him, and it had been hard to recover from him being distracted because of another girl.

Gosh, you had become his favourite sight to look at. He could watch you all day long without getting bored. You were a masterpiece.

And he needed to have you.

Of course Sidney was in the way, and he really couldn’t wait to get rid of her.

Stu had to remind him countless times that they were supposed to follow the plan or it wouldn’t be as good as they had thought it would be.

But Billy was getting impatient.

You were so hot.

And yet you didn’t seem to notice it.

More than once Billy flirted with you, calling you all kinds of pet names including “beautiful, beauty, gorgeous, hottie,...” but you never really caught on to it.

You were taking care of your body and you enjoyed putting on trendy clothes and a little bit of makeup sometimes too with nice hairstyles.

But you never really thought anything about the way people were watching you. Why would you care as long as everyone was nice to you?

You were used to boys asking you to carry your stuff, and you didn’t see why you should refuse it.

If people wanted to be kind to you, why shouldn’t you take the opportunity?

(Plus your bag always crumpled your tops and you really didn’t like that at all.)

It also often happened that boys tried to kiss you at parties or in your daily life, especially when you were getting along with them or when they were too drunk to realise how stupid they were.

You had to admit that now that you had Billy by your side it was a little bit different. In a good way.

He was protective.

And you were enjoying your time with him. He was cute and funny and intense.

He was so hot.

But you couldn’t imagine that he could want you. He had a girlfriend, anyways.

He was always doing his best to avoid Sidney when you were at parties so he could spend time with you, flirting with you and making sure no one else was talking to you.

He was getting very possessive with you, and the fact you didn’t seem to catch on how much he desired you was only fueling his desire to have you all his.

When he needed to go play with Sidney, he was asking Stu to stay with you. Not that he particularly trusts his friend in the presence of such a hot girl, but it was better than having you with someone he didn’t like or didn’t know.

Billy and Stu often wondered if you were stupid though.

You never caught on to the flirting.

You never seemed to understand their “subtle” remarks about your body.

You never understood either when they were calling you “hot stuff”.

You always giggled and rolled their eyes at them “I’m not hot, I’m just a girl”.

And unlike any other girls Billy flirted with, while being with Sidney, you didn’t play with the situation. It was actually confusing you a lot

“I thought you were dating that girl… what was her name again…?”

“Sidney. Yes I'm dating her and…?”

“Oh well, then maybe you shouldn’t invite me to your place at night… I’m not sure she would be happy about that”

“I’m not planning on telling her, you know. And you neither”

“I don’t even know who she is! But really… why do you want me to come over anyways?”

You were really making things hard for Billy.

But because you weren't noticing anything, he thought you might make things easier for Ghostface: you would never be suspicious of him.

He even thought that you would be pretty easy to kill… but he really didn’t want that. It would be a waste.

And one day, you would be his, body and soul.

Jiu

The moment Jiu saw the picture you sent, her eyes were blown wide. She quickly looked around to make sure no one else could see your half naked body displayed on her phone. Gosh you looked so good, she thought with a loud gasp. The other members looked at her questioningly, she had to give them a poor excuse that she just saw a cute phone case on sale, but luckily they bought it and didn’t dig any deeper. Everyone knew how Jiu could get at phone cases.

Trapped at work all she could do was to imagine the naughty things she’d do to you if she’d been there. For the rest of the schedule, Jiu stayed quiet with her mind running wild. Next time she’ll see you, she’ll have to teach you a lesson - torturing her the way you did was strictly forbidden.

Sua

Sua’s screams were nothing new to anyone who’d known anything about Dreamcatcher. This time her scream was surprisingly even more high pitched. You just sent her a thirst trap. While she was working her ass off, adding final touches to the new choreography. Sua couldn’t remember the last time she felt so frustrated. You were so far away, it was not fair. Despite having pure intentions, truly wanting to create a dancing masterpiece - she knew the practise was over. There was no way she’d be able to focus on anything else now. A defeated sigh left her mouth as she packed her bag in a hurry before announcing the end of work. She was speeding through the city late at night, feeling this wild urge as if your body was calling out for her.

Siyeon

Poor Siyeon was pouting at her phone. She was so far away and it was very late. Everyone was asleep already, as her and the members had left Seoul for few days to shoot a new variety show. Like a lost puppy she could only look and admire the beautiful shape of your body. Her finger traced your curves on the screen, but she would give anything up in order to have you physically by her side. Oh, the things she’d do... Two could play this game though, she smiled after a moment of realization. She wrote what she’d do if you were together. Before she really acknowledged it, she pressed ‘send’ to a message that was describing her intentions incredibly well. You replied right away. Who said sexting wasn’t allowed?

Handong

Dongie’s mouth fell open, but her hand was fast to cover it. Before anyone could see what was on her phone she locked it. With a deep breath, Chinese looked around the room - she tried to stay calm or at least appear to be fine. Handong gulped thickly and excused herself from the almost full recording studio. She found a place to sit in the hall, that’s where she clicked on your message again and let her eyes wander properly. A disappointed sigh left her lips. Why would you do that to her? Why would you send something like that when you perfectly knew that it’d only make her blood boil? She definitely had to take care of you so that you had some boundaries. Simulating feeling sick suddenly became a very tempting idea, she smirked.

Yoohyeon

Yoohyeon literally choked on the water she was drinking causing many eyes to turn in her direction. She quickly apologized and affirmed that she was fine before heading off to the quiet corner of the room. Then she was able to take a decent look at the pic you’d sent. Utterly frustrated, she bit her lip hating the fact that all she could do for now was to stare at the screen. Gosh, she wanted to touch you again. Frankly speaking you got her worked up within a second. It took one silly thirst trap for her to forget about the whole world. Trying her best not to blush too much, she responded with a short text and put the phone away. It was a busy day with no hope of going home early, Yooh had to focus on her job. The sooner she’ll be done the sooner you’d be in her arms.

Dami

Dami had to clear her throat. It became dry once she opened her chat with you. With no hesitation, she went to the nearest bathroom hoping for some privacy. She wouldn’t bare it if anyone at the company saw the things you were sending. It’d be very embarrassing. Very. Back to the situation you put her in, Dami shook her head slightly amused at how desperate you could get for her. Her fingers already working on a response, as tip of her tongue swirled across her top lip. She had to be fast, entire team was getting ready to perform on stage. Sharp yet playful message was perfect, it’ll only get you worked up more for her, as she had job to do for now. Afterwards she’ll additionally remind you not to provoke her in the future.

Gahyeon

Gahyeon’s blush was deep red. She was very whiny that day. It was cold, she was tired and now you were only adding fuel to the flames. On the other hand, she was simply amazed at the realization that it was so easy for you to make her want you more. Not even five minutes had passed and she was already feeling hot, breathing a bit heavier. She had never felt this way before. Ever since you entered her life you had coloured every piece of it. The fact that Dreamcatcher still had two more interviews planned that day kept Gahyeon slightly in check. A sneaky thought crossed her foxy mind though, she started to look for excuses in order to leave work earlier than usual. One time wouldn’t hurt anybody, right?

Happy Anniversary, Steven Universe!

Gosh, it’s already been 10 years since the first episode aired, and 4 years since it ended. Anybody feel old?

I wonder how they are. Steven, The Crystal Gems, Homeworld, Beach City. Maybe Steven’s finally at peace with himself, and his therapy has helped him recover fully. Maybe he’s discovered more about himself on his journey, but I guess we’ll never know.

Steven Universe was more than a Show of intergalactic rebel rock aliens. It’s a show which perfectly symbolised some things in todays world that just aren’t understood. Like racism, transgender people, etc. As a kid, I was so against trans people as well as gay people. Maybe that was because of the environment I grew up in, but Steven Universe showed me that sometimes the way you come into this world isn’t how you truly feel, as well as explaining to me that love can happen between anyone regardless. I guess you can say it added to my character development

I’m sure Steven Universe has helped lots of people all around the world. Whether it helped them emotionally, inspired them to reach for the stars, or simply made them understand some complicated things in todays day and age.

Steven Universe, thank you ever so much. You’ve made such an impact on my life. And thank you too, Rebecca Sugar. If it weren’t for you, this masterpiece wouldn’t have made its mark on this world.

"Backdraft may be a minute shorter than Bring It On, but it’s still over three minutes long, and it makes up for the lost minute with a complex form. The “Pressure! Pressure!” might be the only part that truly repeats.

At the beginning, Fuuta is showing off, acting cool. Then the music slows down as he ponders his verdict. Then the music picks up the pace again and gets more and more frantic as the consequences of his actions catch up to him.

See that structure in the three distinct verses that sound nothing like anything else in the song: cool, contemplative, and “oh no, what have I done”.

The “chorus” (burn burn!) never stays the same. You’ve got the “cool” first chorus. Then you have the muted second chorus as it sinks in that Fuuta’s victim was a middle-school girl, which leads into the tense final chorus (which is twice as long as the first) as the victim and Fuuta both burn.

The instrumental and the spoken-word from the beginning combine in the end, changing the mood of the stanza from confident and showy to panicked and desperate.

And the words… You can hear the wordplay in the last stanza, even if you don’t understand it.

Appreciate this chaotic masterpiece of a song."

"Back draft is incredible because it not only has great visual symbolism with the use of the spray cans but its visual symbolism shows a progression from ‘Bring it on’. In ‘Bring it on’ the channelling is glorious , fuuta is surrounded by people and fuuta idealised himself (taller , better teeth , better posture ect) , the people he cancelled were portrayed as these powerful rpg monsters but now in back now the channelling is portrayed as vandalism a crime as destructive , the ally is empty we only ever see others as hands or his victim fuuta is alone and fuuta is no longer idealising his appearance and his mind is now portraying his victim as a harmless cutesy drawing. This shows a change in how fuuta views his crime between T1 and T2. It wasn’t glorious, it wasn't justified , he was at fault. The fire being recontextsied as something out of control , all consuming and out of control which is the opposite of how it was portrayed in ‘Bring it on’ we really see how the vote has changed fuuta."

The thumbs down fuuta does during “the fights up here! Come up to the ring and face me!” Part which is like his T1 art , the way the lighting changes from green towards the start and becomes red by the end (stop go colours) , The way fuuta is constantly interacting with the camera , spray painting it twice and kicking it."

Thoughts on chapter 370 & 371

370 was, in my opinion, mostly about setting up the future events of the main battle, the BBs essentially just arriving to the scene and telling Asta to go ahead; that they can handle the clones. And that... for some reason the Clover castle needs to be in the skies for Lucius' plan to work (I guess JuLu really just is gonna climb the tree of Qliphoth and punch their celestial parent for missing out on parenting /j). But also just securing that Yuno and Asta as a duo are the only "real" threat to Lucius. Though I have to suspect that there is going to be some kind of a scene stating that they weren't alone, and were only able to do it because of the wonderful people and friends they met along the way.

(But I also gotta laugh at Auggie just chilling in his castle while there the apocalypse happening outside. Do the limits of this man's incompetence know no limits?)

Charlotte deciding that she can't die yet. My romantic heart wants to believe that it's partly because Sukehiro needs to talk to her about something, once the battle is over. But also for the very obvious reason of... the world being about to to end, and her being one of the people that stand in the way of it. Rill might just be able to soon paint his masterpiece.

Oh gosh. I love how Tabs went from the pure battle into some lore! He gave an explanation to Mereo's decision to leave the capitol, and it was simply because she didn't think that she'd get to ... grow stronger, in the proper sense of the concept. Because growth exists outside of one's comfort zone, and she would have, most likely, been stronger than anyone she goes up against with just being comfortably at home. There wasn't enough to quench her thirst for ability, for knowledge. Life inside the castle walls just wasn't enough, because there was no challenge.

I can now really imagine how much that battle during The Tuesday of Blood and Fire meant for Mereoleona. It was one of the first, perhaps only, times when someone really, truly, engaged with her into a proper battle. She must've been ecstatic! Such a proud big sister!! And we always knew that she has fire in her heart, and she was going to make something out of herself, but even her, she couldn't quite make it on her own. She needed that push from the people behind her. They might have been weaker than she was, but they gave her the necessary nudge.

Then we have Morris, blabbering about how the most weak preach the most... and then goes to preach about how he was chosen by God. Well... I guess he can't appreciate the irony in it, but I can.

Fue arrives to the scene, when she's on the brink of realizing. After having shown some of his strength, and only to see the dead souls of their squad rise from the flames of hellfire that exists in Mereo's fire! She figures out her ultimate magic! And as she does, she declares that she wasn't waiting for anyone. She's going to charge ahead, with someone or without, because that's the only way to get stronger. To keep pushing the limits!!

Her soul is Fire! And she manifests that forth, into her body and gives body to the fallen souls. "You fools can't just die and think you'll get away with this!! That is not an excuse!" Like damn... what a mentality!

But these people were the ones who were not deterred by her training methods. They were afraid yes. They were aware of their weakness in comparison to her. But that was not an excuse for them to not push their own limits!! Mad respect. And Mereo grins. "This is the true shape of a human soul!" Something that burns with passion and bravery, charges forward and refuses to give in.

Like holy hell (pun intended)

And then she glances back with a mad grin, like something hell itself spat out.

I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes... like a fire spirit after this? I mean... Salamander is The Great Spirit of Fire, but he has a physical form. And Mereo is doing something similar, though at least between the Spare and Final arc, it seemed like she was able to still retain her body -body. I wonder if, but I also doubt, that it would be the same after the final arc. It might be that she'll become permanently a spirit. But... I honestly can't blame. Because that is not her death, even if it comes to that. It's her becoming.

If I wasn't afraid of Mereo before, I sure as damn am now (in a positive way)

HP Rec Fest, Day 6

Day #6 from @hprecfest celebrates one of my recent favorites: unreliable narrator. Oh what a powerful and sexy narrative tool! We’re lucky to have many delicious fics with this element and I’ve been more and intrigued, especially when it comes with an open or ambiguous ending👨‍🍳😘 after years of loving neutral POVs and wanting unbiased closure in fic, now I can appreciate that sometimes it is fun and exciting not to know everything, not to mention that unreliable narrations usually provide fascinating character studies. I took this opportunity to highlight two (imo) underrated works with mature themes. Dead dove and underage might not be among the most popular preferences which in my book is all the more reason to give these brilliant works a shoutout. floyd is my go-to for all things dark and spooky so of course I was immediately lured into this short but poignant psychological thriller. as always the masterful tension building takes my breath (and sleep) away: I love the concept of polyjuice addiction and Harry’s pov is visceral and uncomfortable in its jaded tone. gosh what a fic, what an ending! so much story within 2k of pure genius writing

this was the first long Scarry fic I’ve read and it completely blew my mind. it checks so many of my boxes when it comes to exploring the so called “problematic” underage romance: an emotional rollercoaster with brilliant nuanced characterization, angsty slow burn, sexy and unapologetic smut. Scorpius’ POV in his teen and early adult years - bright, yearning and so very real - is a triumph, truly a masterpiece for those who enjoy coming of age stories

here's my list of the best bl kisses with a few of my favorites. in my own personal opinion.

●dark blue kiss

i think p'aof went very galaxy brain with the idea of an underwater kiss and for that, he is very valid because it's a very iconic kiss. the show itself could have had some work but then again, it was 2018. everything was wrong back then.

● still 2gether

NOW i talk a lot of shit about this one AND WITH GOOD REASONS. HOWEVER, gosh mantype stole the show for me WITH ONE SINGLE KISS. imagine that. it was groundbreaking FOR ME. too bad we will never gonna see them together again.

● 2 moons 2

this was the only time joong knew how to kiss. no further explanation.

● history 2: crossing the line

even though this whole scene was a dream, it was still a marvelous experience and for someone (me) that was just starting into this bl bs, this one sealed the deal for me.

● history 3: make our days count

this whole scene... you just had to be there. also they had the most happiest ending ever. for sure for sure.

what can i say? taiwan always put their money in those workshops. their plots might be a little outta pocket with the incest and the getting killed because of some salt but i can always trust them to put on a show.

i have no explanations WHY this is a favorite. it's just too good. and it's not only their porn-level kisses, the show itself was a masterpiece. if no one got me, i know maxtul got me. manifesting a show with them again.

●lovely writer

the show itself didn't click with me. too many sound effects and some of the characters were very annoying to me. HOWEVER, the food was very tasteful. let's see it again.

● a tale of thousand stars

i really debated between this one and the final kiss but i had to choose this one because i feel this one is more meaningful. it was a promise that they would see each other again and i'm a sucker for promises. still, p'aof lost some points for giving us one single actual kiss for the very last minute.

● like in the movies

picture this. we are in the middle of a pandemic, unemployed, some places are starting to open back up, thailand is in shambles so they can't release anything. enter the philippines with the vision of starting business with the bl industry and they release this masterpiece. it was such a good show and they had the material for a season 2 but sadly, their time is over. 10/10 tho.

● we best love: no.1 for you

gosh, taiwan. you will always be the best.

this was a very emotional scene and they truly deliver with the kiss and the tears and the bridge. it was all 10/10

● bad buddy

I MEAN, DO I EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN??? like damn. now i do have some complaints here and there but this kiss right here??? it was such an experience. like the girlies that watched this while it was airing know how it felt because not a lot of people were prepared for how ep 5 would leave the whole fandom in shambles. the confession plus the kiss PLUS how it ended??? emotional damage 100. incredible.

●enchante

LISTEN!!! YOU BETTER LISTEN!!!! because these bitches, as rookies as they were, DELIVERED. see because even though enchante was a flop in terms of views and gmmtv never giving them an inch of promotion, my kings ate each other on camera and gave me the most toe-curling kiss ever. i don't care if you thought the plot was silly or you want to act funny and say forcebook look related, whatever that means, they did what needed to be done. end of discussion.

●not me

"but offgun had better kisses!!!!111!!!" i don't care about any of that. i came here because babygirl first is a homie hopper and he was going to kiss another man on camera.

the show itself was really good, a little bit draggy towards the end (and there were some Things with some characters that the fans weren't that happy with) but overall, they put on a great performance. HOWEVER, danyok will forever be famous. a tragedy too.

●to my star

GOSH. the originals. the men that weren't afraid of success. see because up until this point, kbls were a flop in terms of kisses (some even in plot) and their first kiss was a flop too BUT THEN this final scene came and robbed me at gunpoint. i was so sure we would never get a proper kiss AND THE BITCHES CAME AND SLAYED ME. not only they gave me a proper meal, it lasted for hours. i was left in shambles. 14569722/10.

●to my star 2

i have to put both scenes because what the fuck. I MEAN, WHAT THE FUCK MAN???

there's absolutely nothing i can say but enjoy??? i guess??? they said "oh, the industry is a flop. let us fix it" AND THEY DID... now the show itself had its ups and downs; a lot of people didn't like how it was made and how the plot was going; it was devastation after devastation and no one could see the light at the end of the tunnel. personally, if they had done the plot a little different, a lot more people would have been happier, including me. but that doesn't take away the fact that they killed it, amazing performance and the kisses speak for itself.

● my secret love

now was this show groundbreaking? no. in reality, it was more of the same stuff we all have seen but the catch with this one is that the acting is good enough and the plot is engaging, and you can actually see that some actions lead to repercussions in the show. however, i do have to talk about these two. they stole the show and they weren't even the main couple and my theory is that because they didn't have enough screentime, they decided to go all out with their scenes and god, what a time. this was just the beginning of this scene btw, there's more to it.

● golden blood

this one goes to show that sometimes you just need vibes, exceptionally good chemistry, some silly characters and a small mukbang. golden blood was a disaster in like everything, so when i tell you i stayed for them, i'm serious. they were the only reason i kept watching. the rest? i don't even remember because i skipped most of it.

● cutie pie

see, decisions were made when they filmed this. the show was very silly itself and there were some plotholes that were ultimately overshadowed by zee's tongue. i honestly don't remember much. i just remember the iconic kisses and how tonnam stole every single scene (and that's how he has his lead role now). also perth. but those workshops came through because all four of them ate this (and each other).

● cutie pie 2 you

before anyone says something about zeenunew, save it. i watched this long ass advertisement just to get nuersyn crumbs. that's it. i don't even remember how many episodes it had but it was so unnecessary. HOWEVER, tutoryim came and gave us the performance of their lives. i have absolutely no complaints with those two. would i ever want a special focused on them? yes, 100%. i also have to add maxnat also had a great performance with the little to no screentime they had. we were living off crumbs, for sure.

● you're my sky

oh, bestie. when i tell you this show made me climb my walls every saturday last year, i'm not kidding. THESE TWO, MY GOD. for the girlies that watched this show, you know what i mean. the tension was OFF THE ROOF. THE WORST PART? open ending. the most toe-curling tension right here just to get a drunken kiss and then NOTHING. the most excruciating 12 weeks.

● don't say no

this show was a wild ride. like, the toxicity surrounding leo and fiat? it was too much and the plot was nonexistent, which it was the point. basically, it was "two best friends in a room, they might kiss" and they did, so what happens next? this is the "next". how they actually act now that they are in a relationship. fiat had a lot of baggage plus being horny. those two fucked like rabbits and NOTHING was left to the imagination. the biggest surprise was smartjames. they had an awful ending but at least we got good food.

●blueming

you know what they say, tms walked so that the other kbls could run and this is a prime example. then again, it's the same director, so there's a standard these shows need to have and damn, i think they exceeded. now, the show was very different from the manhwa but it was still a good show enough that there might be season 2.

● kissable lips

compared to some of this list, this kiss is not even that good. HOWEVER, in the context of kbls, it was really memorable, especially when you have watched the show and the only thing that you can remember is that one of them was a vampire and died but died after having a good fuck... honestly, they had $5 and a dream and they made it work.

●cherry blossom after winter

the dream kisses are always the best ones.

this was a very cute show overall and i think it had the first m|m couple that gets engaged with a ring and everything in a kbl. very iconic, if you ask me. very brave too.

●cupid's last wish

listen, i'm not a fan of the body swapping trope but at least they went original with this one (at least no one died... side eyeing the shipper). and i'm pretty sure the director told earthmix to go wild with this one. pretty sure it was the pent up energy from atots. what a performance. a think there are a few kisses from this show. great food.

so i let the hyperfixation win.

over the past several hours i rewatched Sword Art Online and SAO 2.

(this time dubbed, last time i watched it subbed)

here are my thoughts:

-anyone who said the dub was bad is just wrong. Kirito's VA really shines in the more comedic or sweet moments (like when first meeting Yui), he reminds me of like a Peter Parker. and oh my lord, the breakdown by Suguha's VA was just a masterpiece. Still have chills from watching it.

-i have such a big appreciation for every character. This time it really shined through how good of characters Kirito, Asuna, and Suguha actually are.

Kirito's internal conflict throughout SAO2 is so good, grappling with their actions they needed to take in SAO to survive. and throughout all of it you can tell how much they truly loves their friends and family, and how kind hearted they really are. Asuna definitely fits into that role as well, being so ready to take care of Yui and so desperately wanting her to be safe and loved and cared for.

And oh my gosh Suguha. I remember people absolutely hated her arc because it is problematic, but the fact is, it's played entirely serious, her feelings arent taken as a joke. She has a genuine and real internal struggle for feeling things she feels she shouldnt, and how she feels those feelings arent reciprocated or cant be reciprocated, and having her heart broken twice by someone who she loves and someone who also does still genuinely love her. Its absolutely heartbreaking to watch.

Man, Sinon is still fantastic. She's still my absolute favorite, and I think she is one of the best characters in the show, and pretty much steals the show from her introduction. Her arc ties in so seamlessly with Kirito's and how they help eachother heal and grow is fantastic. Only complaint is we never got a scene of the rest of the Gals being jealous about the grenade hug she gave Kirito. After Kirito and Sinon nearly died, wouldve been some nice relief so you didnt feel like you yourself were dying.

-Speaking of, while there was definitely a ton of fanservice, the pseudo-harem aspect with the jokes were kinda cute, between characters seeing flirting happen around them, getting embarassed over it, its fun. Especially when people got jealous of Sinon flirting with Kirito over Excalibur. That part was very fun, since they did that infront of everyone else, almost like they were trying to get a rise out of them. Theyre not exactly the pinnacle of comedy, its definitely a trope, but theres something nostalgic about it that makes it kinda enjoyable.

-Speaking of the psuedo-harem, guys if all of you are constantly flirting with eachother (not just Kirito surprisingly, happens between the other girls frequently) and jealous of any affection with that, just start a polycule. You're a group of gamer girls playing MMOs together and all of you have slept in the same bed with eachother. Stop snipping at eachother and start dating eachother. Polyamory is pretty cool. Kirito and Asuna can still be the main duo and be the parents to Yui and Strea; but yall gotta work on the jealousy or just do what every other group of girl gamers does, polyamory. Lisbeth you should not be angrily drinking while watching Kirito and Asuna talk. (this is mostly a joke, im not actually saying they *have* to do a polycule, its more of a joke because of how tropey a lot of the flirting and jealousy is, and yknow, gay girls do polyamory, so dont take this part toooooo seriously.)

-Speaking of girls dating girls, the LGBT rep aint half bad. Argo canonically using both male and female pronouns is really cool! Most of the girls flirt with eachother a lot too, which is nice. Between the female avatar, the willingness to pretend to be a girl, the introversion, the desire to be an avatar in a virtual world more than irl, Kirito might be transgender. All good stuff here.

Overall, SAO is honestly way better than I remembered, even if some parts definitely show its age. You gotta piece it together a little bit with headcanons, but i do that with every show, nothing is perfect. Except Sinon. And a world where trans Kirito is canon. Those are perfect.

Frequent traveller Park Jimin is your nemesis, but darn is he a cute one.

🗨️ This is just so fucking hilarious, don’t get me started. I laughed from beginning to end 😂 And it’s still as good as I remember, if not even better??? It’s really, really good 👏 Pacing is really good and how we see more and more of Jungkook’s disturbing traits is just brilliant ✨If you want my full review of it, you can find it here (it does contain spoilers though!). And I really think you shouldn’t spoil it! Just go read it if you’re into the darker stuff, because my heart was racing so damn fast! This is the best thriller yandere au I’ve read to date 💜

This fic feels like a big hug and I love it to bits oh gosh <333 Anyone that knows sweater weather knows Eve is an absolute GOD in this fandom and the fact that I get to interact with her on the daily and call her my friend still feels a wee bit like a fever dream. she's out here writing utter magic like countermoves and Land of light both of which have me climbing the walls and chewing at the floorboards cause holy SHIT (whoops, back to the fic) I'm not going to lie, it was so hard to pic just a few fics to rec, but I went with the one I'd read this week for the wee oneshot because oh GOSH it is so somft and lovely and adorable, i love it.

Alsooooo cute little fun fact: Kim and Em worked together to write the masterpiece that absolutely BROKE me Like Real People Do just flipping INCREDIBLE. absolutely showstopping. I love Kim and her writing so so much.

Oh good gosh, oh jesus, oh boy, it's Ami's writing, my KRYPTONITE. The way Ami writes is like music. there's no other way I can think of to describe it. It flows so beautifully and the way her writing reads like lyrical prose and poetic storytelling has me weak in the knees EVERY single time. This fic was part of the SW discord winter fic exchange and it had me looking at my phone like 🥺🥰the whole time. Ami's writing is just INCREDIBLE and she blows me away with the way she words everytime she blesses us with her writing :)

Okay folks, we've already established how much I ADORE Eve's writing but also oh my GOD I just had to bring up this au, which left me completely shooketh right from the moment the idea came up in the discord to the finished product of Eve's wonderful fic. I LOVE it so so much and I still reread it on a semi regular basis (but shhhh) bottom line, everyone needs to read this.

✩Washcloths and Wishes (A Sweater Weather Fanfic) by @veryspacecowboy (E | 1K)

oh goodness M's writing (and M themself) Is so flipping wonderful and this was one of her first fic's I've ever read (I think it might've actually been their first published fic I read) the way she writes is so flipping incredible and the way they weave all the character's stories together is so magical to witness, and to watch them do this wizardry on the discord (parkouring through allll the threads, so many of which are her brainchild because M is big brain and they are so so cool) has me making heart eyes at my phone/laptop. This fic is somft and also hot (which they are a MASTER at, the duality of M(tm)) and every SW fan HAS to read it, I promise you'll love it.

LAUREL WRITING LAUREL WRITING OH MY LORDY. Laurel is such an incredible human oh my gosh my HEART!!! we haven't spoken very much but she's such a bright, kind, and comforting presence on the discord and I always have a little !!! moment when I see her in my notifications :')) This fic oh my GOSH this fic is EXACTLY what it says on the bottle, Sirius gets Re to communicate because he's a sexi sexi gentleman (Laurel's world not mine) She's such a lovely, caring human and honestly, you can really see that come through in her writing and it makes me so so 🥺🥹 I adore every single inch of it <3

So we all know that Ash is our resident podcast GOD, who's read and orchestrated the wonderful Sweater weather podfic along with a bunch of other noots (which everyone collectively lost their minds over) and also the podfic of the system which was originally written by @heyitssmiller (ahahahah triple noot whammy hehehe) but oh my GOSH Ash is so so cool, and such a delightful person to talk to and interact with, I adore her to bits, she's always so nice and kind whenever you interact with her and she's so wonderful about raising peeps up with her podfics, it makes me very very 🥺🥰

I am BEYOND amazed by this ask, I - I can't comprehend. Is this real?

My favourite books - that's a though ask because I have many books I thoroughly enjoy, many tied to my special interests.

Oh gosh, I am sorry in advance, this will be long...

I have not talked about it much on here, but besides Jupiter Jim I am a huge fan of Star Wars & I'm owning over 160 books + the begin of a comic collection. Autistic much, mhmmmmm?

My favourite Star Wars book series is the Republic Commando Series by Karen Traviss. It's a masterpiece.

The way she gives the clone soldiers individual lives & personalities is amazing & it truly mirrors the conflicts that arise with the use of clones for an army. I am also fascinated by Mandalorian Culture, which the clones are raised in by their DNA giver Jango Fett & a few mandalorian warriors he chose for that task.

Karen Traviss created Mando'a, the language of this culture (which I have NOT learned, no, never /s).

I also want to add that the clones are NOT stormtroopers!

I'd also recommend reading the High Republic Series, which is BEYOND amazing & has become my favourite Star Wars Era next to the Prequel Era.

Even if you are not a fan of Star Wars, the High Republic is worth a read as a standalone series. You don't need to know anything about Star Wars to understand it.

Star Wars has a very big library of books & comics - every era has great stories. Here are some of my favourites beyond the ones I already mentioned:

Darth Plagueis (Prequel era to beginning of the Empire)

Alphabet Squadron Trilogy (New Empire era)

Death Star (Original Trilogy)

Brotherhood & also Master & Apprentice (Prequel Trilogy)

The Padmé Trilogy (Prequel Trilogy)

The Lando Calrissian Trilogy (takes place years before the Original Trilogy)

Everything by Timothy Zahn (he's famous for creating Thrawn)

You see how I am unable to choose???

Apart from my quite big Star Wars literature obsession I love reading other science fiction works & also thriller/ horror stories.

Ethan Cross with his absolutely amazing serial killer Francis Ackermann Junior is my favourite thriller author, but I do enjoy Stephen King as well

Of course, Jules Verne & his works are worth mentioning too, his work is impressive considering what he had come up with back in his time!

A Walk Between Stars by Tyler. R. Parsons is a great novel, truly recommend it - a human is stuck in outer space & gets rescued by strange aliens

As a huge Five Nights at Freddy's fan, I (of course) own the novels as well & THEY ARE SO WORTH IT

Occasionally I like fantasy as well.

The Dune Universe by Frank Herbert is what I've started reading & I do like the idea, but I don't enjoy the main character - so I've stopped after the first book. I do want to try to read the whole series someday!

Walter Moers is my favourite fantasy author, his work is absolutely stunning & I treasure every single one. My favourite work would be the 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear, which was the first novel I've read by him

Lord of the Rings & the Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. No words needed!

The Never Ending Story by Michael Ende (trust me, it's exceptional)

Momo by Michael Ende (teaches you a lot about compassion)

I like reading the nerdy books about astrophysics & quantum physics, but I haven't included them since - it would've been boring to read for you. My newest interest is neuroscience & I want to obtain the scientific books about that field as well!

here’s to 2022

what a year it’s been. among everything that has taken place, one of the best decisions i made was creating this blog. in my 13+ years in fandom and different writing communities, none of them have ever been as warm or welcoming as this one. the response my writing has gotten has been overwhelming in the best way. many of you are so quick to leave comments and words of encouragement and it means more than you could ever know.

as a thank you for all the love and support, i wanted to highlight some of my favorite fics of the year. this is by no means an extensive list, and i'm sure i will miss some, because there's no way i could highlight every single great story i've read. there are too many fantastic writers in this community for me to do so.

leah's 2022 library

robert floyd fics

my love, forever collection by @robertcallsignbobfloyd - this series is heart wrenching and beautiful. i find myself thinking about it again from time to time and wishing i could read it from the beginning all over again and experience all the emotions it made me feel for the first time. truly a masterpiece.

navy boy, country girl by @clints-lucky-arrow - this fic turned my world upside down, let me tell you. i love the idea of bob as a cowboy. and the line "But I hear that you’ve become quite the cowgirl. So, do what you do best, darlin’. Ride." quite literally sent me into another plane of existence. such a sexy story. delicious, really.

weather the storm by @wildbornsiren - this is such a sweet story. heartbreaking in the best way. this line: He nods, and you can feel the wet spot on your shirt from his tears. “You’re a safe place.” truly touched me deep within my soul. just a wonderful piece of writing, truly.

morning after by @mothdruid - this one is just too good. little bit of humor sprinkled throughout. also, great proponent of the #bobfucks agenda. i had such a good time reading this, and often find myself rereading it.

no shame by @beachbabey - i really have no words. just, bob with a mommy kink. what more could you ask for? gosh it's just such a fun read, and the way he's just so subby and sweet the whole time? i could die

the phone call by @sebsxphia - the anguish in this story is just so heart wrenching. it's short and to the point but manages to make you feel so many emotions at once while reading it. such a good, angsty read

rhett abbott fics

the trouble with books by @hederasgarden - god this is just so HOT. got me all flustered and warm under the collar. it never gets old, even after i've read it multiple times. i can't even describe how much i loved every minute of it (as well as part 2), you just have to read it for yourself and see.

stand by your man by @a-reader-and-a-writer - so, so good. such a great depiction of hurt/comfort. also does a great job of showcasing rhett's stubbornness. i reread this from time to time and always enjoy myself.

horsemanship by @bradshawsbitch - one of my all time favorite rhett fics! i love, love, love the idea of rhett owning a stubborn mare who only likes him and no one else. god it just makes my heart sing. i will forever adore the idea that he is soft with animals. anyway, this entire story was just such a wonderful read.

please by @h0neyfire - this is just delicious. i enjoyed every minute. just the thought of breaking rhett down and getting him all needy and desperate and pliant for you? fuck, i need to lie down.

bradley bradshaw fics

running series by @lcahwriter - this series will forever be one of my favorites. the way trauma is portrayed in this story is so gripping. sometimes, stories like this can sometimes be over dramatic or sensationalized, but this story is none of those things. very tastefully done. the moment i read the first part i was hooked.

skyrockets in flight, afternoon delight by @gretagerwigsmuse - if i were to truly say how this fic made me feel, it would just be a bunch of unintelligible keyboard smashing, because holy shit. it's so damn sexy. one of those stories you can't stop thinking about long after you've read it.

the better man by @bradshawsbaby - i really loved the way the tables were turned in this story. usually it's bradley defending the reader from some asshole's unwanted attention, but this showcased what might take place if it were the other way around and bradley's girl was defending him. such an enjoyable piece, i had such a good time reading it.

idle time by @hangmanbrainrot - the angst in this story just touches something deep within my soul. such a great depiction of bradley's struggles while he has time off. it was something so relatable and personal to me.

jake seresin fics

i and love and you by @halfway-happyyy - this one hurt so good. the way hurt and betrayal is portrayed in this is so emotionally stirring. this story fully made me cry as i was reading it. so worth the read.

who did this to you? by @justfandomwritings - this is probably one of my favorite stories born out of the who did this to you? trope. the situation is portrayed so well. it's not over the top either. very well done.

fair game by @sunlightmurdock - when i tell you this one knocked me the fuck out!!! my jaw dropped. SO good. if you love drama you will LOVE this. jake is such a bitch and it's wonderful.

if devotion is a river (then i'm floating away) by @seasonsbloom - i'm at a bit of a loss for words with this one. it is truly breathtaking. every time i read it, it's like i'm reading it for the first time all over again. it's like reading poetry. absolutely wonderful.

there are so many more i could mention, but this post would never end if i did so, so i'll keep it brief. thank you all for your contributions. such talented, talented people.
