[7:37 pm]
(cw: f!reader, a few curse words, no hate at all to business majors xx)
“Baby! Come on you know I didn’t mean it!” Fratboy!Jaehyun calls out with a laugh in his voice.
“You called me stupid, Jaehyun," You pout.
He fails to hide his laugh at the sight, "No, I said don't be stupid. There's a difference."
"And there's a difference between being single and having a girlfriend, asshole," you reply, slamming the door behind you.
You stomp down the stairs and almost make it to the door when Taeyong, your favorite of Jaehyun's frat brothers, asks if you were going to stay for dinner. You can never say no to him.
In the kitchen you help him chop vegetables before he finally asks you what happened, "I told Jaehyun I couldn't spend the night because I had a big project due by Monday and he told me there was no way a project for my major would constitute me not being able to spend the night. Then he just kept talking and said that none of my classes could be harder than his."
Taeyong stopped with wide eyes, "he said that?"
You nod quickly, "Oh yeah, then he told me that he doesn't think any major would be harder than his business classes, especially mine, and I'd be stupid to think so."
Taeyong ends up agreeing with you and your current upset state, Jaehyun is officially in the wrong. You can feel your phone in your pocket vibrating with texts from Jaehyun but you don't care enough to text back. He can learn from the consequences of being rude.
When the meal is finally ready, you take a seat at the table, far away from your honorary seat at the dinner table, the seat that was right beside Jaehyun's.
Jaehyun walks into the room and sees you sitting beside Taeyong and Haechan, "Really? You're still butt hurt? You didn't answer any of my texts, I wasn't sure if you were safe."
You make it a point not to look at him, so Haechan answers for you instead, "You have her location and you made her feel bad, she doesn't owe you anything."
Jaehyun glares at the younger man, he could be so annoying sometimes. While he ate, Jaehyun's eyes were glued on you with a scowl watching you laugh and interact with everyone but him. He looked like a child who was forced to share his favorite toy, it was hilarious.
While you stood in the kitchen and continued conversing with Taeyong, Jaehyun slipped in and wrapped his arms around your waist, "are you really still mad at me baby?"
"Yes, Jaehyun," You reply curtly, not reciprocating any type of affection like you would usually. This was new for everyone to witness, usually it was you giving the affection. It was you who initiated the hugs, used the mushy petnames, began the disgusting make out sessions. It was funny to see Jaehyun being the clingier of you two now.
He nuzzles his face in your neck, pressing kisses to the slope of your shoulder, "I'm not Jaehyun. I'm your love, your baby, your babe."
"Not when you're being mean."
"I didn't mean to say it," he whines, hearing someone snort out a laugh in the background.
"Jaehyun, I just can't believe you'd say that to me. You're a fucking business major with a 2.8 GPA and I'm on the dean's list with a 3.9. Almost all your classes are freshman level classes. Anything I do is harder than what you do," you finally snap.
"My love, I'm sorry," he cups your face and begins pressing kisses across your face while you still huff in annoyance in his hold.
"I don't like it when you call me stupid or imply that I am," You pout looking up into his eyes.
He presses his forehead to yours, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, "You're not baby. You're so smart and I'm the stupid one."
Someone imitates a whipping noise and mocks, "No, I'm stupid! Me! Me! I'm so stupid!"
"Fucking whipped is what he is," someone else chuckles.
"Would you guys knock it off, I'm trying to apologize to my girlfriend here!" Jaehyun calls out with an annoyed groan.
Another whip noise, "Pretty sure, I heard her call you single bro."
"Did you break up?" Haechan asks hopefully, fingers visibly crossed on both hands.
"Jaehyun gets a pass this time," you reply leaning into Jaehyun to give his cheek a kiss, ignoring the groans of the other guys in the room while he smiles happliy, "but I want flowers too."
He kisses you softly a few times, your face still cradled in his hands while he looks you right in the eye, "then my girl is getting her flowers."

2015 December 24th - Day Four
You look better
You find Taeyong just next to your usual coffee kiosk first thing in the morning
It’s a bit reassuring considering he was mad at you not long ago
Yeah, that plastic surgery finally healed
YN
Sorry
You hand over the money when your favorite lady gives you your usual americano
Don’t spend Christmas with him
Spend it with me
You sputter and wipe the coffee from your face
What?
I asked first, shouldn’t I get priority or something?
(you laugh) He’s going back on the day after Christmas and I haven’t seen him in months
I see you every day now
(he pouts) But I want to spend Christmas with you
You notice he’s following you to your first class, so you aren’t getting out of this conversation
Don’t you have something for work on Christmas?
Only at night
During the day we have class
Shortened classes
Professors want to spend time with their loved ones
So?
I’ll buy us lunch or brunch
Please spend time with me
Tae, don’t you want to spend time with someone you’re interested in? I’m just your friend.. Just like Jisoo
I would never ask Jisoo out on Christmas
Your mouth falls open and you’re unsure how to respond to that
What did he mean?
We’ll talk later
I’m going to be late
You run into the building before he can stop you
Closer to noon, Changkyun begins texting you
Are you almost done?
It’s freezing
You better be wearing that puffy jacket
I swear I’ll march you to your dorm if you’re not
Hold on! The professor is glaring at me!
When the class ends, you write him back
How would you walk me back to my-
When you walk out of the building, you freeze
Taeyong is glaring at Changkyun and likewise
Uhm, hey..
What’s going on?
This clown thinks he can take you from me
I already booked your lunch time today
Why would she go with you when she can go with me?
You as-
You jump between them
How about we back up a bit?
You push them apart with your hands to their chests
Tell him we already had plans, babe
She’s not your babe!
5 years of friendship would say you’re wrong
This is not how you pictured this day going
Changkyun used to not even look at Taeyong until today
What had changed?
Am I missing something?
Changkyun grabs your hand that’s against his chest
Spikey there likes you and thinks no one knows
When you look at Taeyong, he’s glaring at Changkyun
Too afraid to tell her, aren’t you?
You think she won’t talk to you ever again, huh?
Kyun, (you look at him) stop!
What makes you any better?
Aren’t you just projecting your own insecurities?
This wasn’t getting any better
You’ve liked her for 5 years, haven’t you?
But you never made a move because everyone knew, but her
Now that someone shows interest you’re upset
Grow up
You see a man approach Taeyong “The CEO called you in for a talk”
That’s the only time you see Taeyong back down
I’ll text you later, YN
Or you could just not
Okay, Tae
He leaves with the guy you assume is his manager or at least someone who works for his company
Are you really going to text him later?
If he texts me, yes
Babe, really?
He’s my friend!
That wants to date you!
Aren’t you the same?
When he doesn’t say anything, you sigh and make your way to the market just off campus
You’re craving the rice cakes from a specific vendor there and you refused to wait for Kyun
Either way, he followed you
I’m sorry
He says it when you’ve stopped at the rice cake vendor
You pay for some to split then pull Changkyun toward a bench
Which is freezing
You’re sick still, let’s go to the cafeteria
Just sit and eat
When he does as you request, you wonder if he realized how stupid that whole fight was
I was going to tell you
Changkyun tries again to break the icy atmosphere between the two of you
I was going to tell you the night we graduated, but you didn’t show up
And I didn’t want to do it when you watched me fly off
I’m sorry
You stare at each other for a long time
Those feelings you didn’t have a name for resurfacing the longer you stare at him surrounded by holiday lights
I liked you too
Liked?
Past tense?
I’m not sure, but it’s better to figure it out before I hurt your feelings
During school, after you tried to make up for Sara, I definitely liked you
It’s got quiet as you both finish the rice cakes
Even the walk back is quiet
Text me when you get back?
Of course
He offers you his cheeky smile, but it isn’t as potent as usual
You watch him head off alone
He doesn’t walk you back to campus and you believe it’s because you blindsided him
Maybe he expected you to say you liked him now and had everything figured out
But you didn’t
Taeyong might not know you as well as Changkyun, but that doesn’t mean you don’t feel anything
You sigh and kick at the snow beneath your feet
So much for everyone just being friends
After your last class, you walk out to the blistering cold and your shoulders immediately bunch up to try and shield your ears
Can I walk you back to the dorm?
Tae seems nervous and you know why
Are you hungry?
Y-yeah
I want hot pot
I know a place
You raise a brow
What? I do!
I’ve heard that before
You laugh and throw an arm over his shoulders as much as possible
It’s in the market!
Oh, I know that place. Let’s go!
This time, you led the way since you knew where Taeyong had mentioned
The owner sits you both in the back; away from the door
How was work?
Hm? Oh,,
It was okay
He’s leaning his head against his hand as he rolls a napkin between his palm and the table
Just the same as always
You lean forward on your elbows
Do you and Jisoo work for the same company?
No, she’s at a different label
So how did you two become close then?
School mostly
Our friends tried to set us up at one point
But she’s more like a sister to me
She seems nice
She is
You wonder what he’s thinking when he looks at you with those unguarded brown eyes
So many feelings shuffle through them
But you’re not sure which one he’s marinating in
I expected you to tell me no
The owner sets your veggies and meat on the table after he speaks
She explains to you, once more, how to start the hotpot and you thank her
When she walks away, Taeyong is already breaking up the veggies and adding them to the broth
Tell you no for what?
To walk you home..
I was going to text you to go out for dinner, but I didn’t know if you were done at work
I’ll be busy after Christmas, but I have time for now
That’s good
You both quiet down as things are ready to eat
I’m sorry about Changkyun
Taeyong coughs
What?
He’s never been like that before
Taeyong shrugs
I think I hit a nerve
He reacted as I expected
I would skip classes so we could hang out in the morning, but I cannot get anymore points against me
I understand
But I can afford the points
Hm?
You stare at him
Can I follow you tomorrow morning?
I won’t bother any of your classes
And then you can still make your plans with Changkyun in the evening
Won’t you get in trouble if you get that many points?
I’ll figure it out
You frown at him
Don’t worry
I’ll talk to the office and figure out community service or something
You want to fight him on it
But Taeyong has made up his mind
He walks you back to your dorm after dinner
Get inside
It’s freezing
Let me know when you get in
I will
Get inside
You’re still sick
Yes, dad
You roll your eyes
Taeyong laughs
Goodnight
You immediately relax when the warmth of the dorms surrounds you
You collide with Jisoo when you reach the fifth floor
I’m so sorry
No, I’m sorry!
I wasn’t paying attention!
No, I wasn’t!
You both laugh, smiles big as you take in the pretty girl in front of you
Have a good night
You too!
You move around Jisoo to let her get back to what she was doing
YN
You lean back from your door to see her face just inside the hallway by the stairs
Tae really likes you
Good night
You stand there for a moment as she disappears
Then hide in your dorm

✰Tae's birthday✰
Yeosang was still scrambling to get everything ready. Balloons, cake, confetti… "I pray this goes well." He mumbled under his breath. "Wooyoung that cake isn't for you!"
The other angel groaned and moved away from the counter, a disgruntled expression on his face. "Does Ten know you're throwing a party in his house?" The younger male muttered, clearly irked that he didn't get to eat.
"Well I didn't ask him… but I'm sure he doesn't mind! Besides, it's for Tae, he can't get mad at me for wanting to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday." He remarked while fixing one of the decorations that was threatening to fall.
"Uh huh and all of this," Wooyoung waved his hand over everything. "Just for two people?"
Yeosang paused and turned back to him. "I forgot to invite people!" And just like that, Wooyoung burst out laughing. "Shut it, this is serious!"
"Party planner of the year!" He cackled. Yeosang threw a spare balloon at him which only caused Wooyoung to laugh harder.
"No no no! Now what? If he sees it's just me then he'll be so disappointed! H-He'll… he'll break up with me! Oh heavens what am I going to do!"
Seeing the dismayed state of his fellow angel, Jimin couldn't help but raise his brow when he walked into the room. "What's all this?" He asked, his confusion only growing as he watched Wooyoung get over his laughing fit. "Oh dear… Yeosang, did no one show up to your birthday party?"
"Worse, I forgot to invite people to my boyfriend's birthday! Now he'll hate me forever!" The younger angel's wails caused Jimin to cringe.
"Taeyong? Just message his friends…"
"B-But what if they're busy?" The pinkette took a napkin and wiped the tears from Yeosang's eyes that were beginning to fall, letting out a sigh.
"I follow Lisa and Mina on Instagram. Trust me, you can invite them over. Have you told Tae what time to come?" Yeosang shook his head. "Perfect! Then it can be a surprise party. Maybe you can invite his other boyfriend too!"
"Wow, you're actually being helpful." Mumbled Wooyoung, who was quickly growing bored and began rocking on the bar stool he was seated at.
His comments were ignored in favour of comforting the blonde angel. "It'll be fine, Yeosang. And if they can't make it then you can just treat him to a quiet birthday. It doesn't need to be big."
"I know. It's just that he deserves the best, you know? And I want to be able to give it to him." He sighed and, nervously, took out his phone to see if anyone was available.

Took you like a shot Thought that I could chase you with a cold evening Let a couple years water down how I'm feeling about you And every time we talk Every single word builds up to this moment And I gotta convince myself I don't want it even though I do
“I have BIG news!” Aera squealed as soon as you opened the door for her. She hugged you tightly and started jumping, you jumped with her even though you had no idea why.
“Why are we jumping around?”
“Greece! I’m getting married in Greece!” she yelled happily, “You know that it’s my dream to get married in Greece and my amazing soon-to-be-husband surprised me with it! Oh god, I  can’t believe I’m marrying Jaehyun in fucking GREECE!”
“Holy shit that’s great! But can we stop jumping I might puke.”
You sat down on your couch with Aera, “We need to start planning, the wedding is in 3 weeks. I’ve sent the invitations right before I came here. We booked a hotel with the best view ever and my wonderful maid of honor aka you are flying with me and Jaehyun a two days earlier, you know, to get stuff done and the others come one day before the wedding, your man too, by the way. I can’t wait for my bachelorette party- but remember, I promised Jaehyun no strippers.” Her eyes sparkled as she talked about her wedding and you started thinking about your own future.
Were you ever going to get married? You want to get married, you really do. But what if you never get the chance to? Your boyfriend hated to talk about commitment and marriage, he said living together and dating was enough, but you never felt the same way. You wanted to get married, you want a ring on your finger, and you wanted to call him your husband, not your boyfriend.
Aera left after a while and you were alone, until you heard the door open with a sigh. “I’m home.”
His voice, no, his existence alone triggered you and without knowing you plugged in your earphones. “I said I’m home Y/n. There she fucking goes again, god I’m not going to deal with you tonight.” And without saying anything after that, he left again. Minho, your boyfriend of two and half years, always left you alone. He never bothered to talk to you about the problems in your relationship and after trying and trying, you were sick of it.
Dating him was almost torture but breaking up with him was also difficult. You were so scared of being alone, of not being loved.
Almost three weeks later, you found yourself at the airport with Jaehyun and Aera. Jaehyun looked at his watch every two minutes and he looked really nervous too. “Where the fuck is he?” he mumbled and Aera kicked his leg. “Ouch?” he hissed in pain. “Sorry baby didn’t mean to kick you that hard.”
“What is going on here? Who are we waiting for?” you asked confused. “You didn’t tell her?” Jaehyun asked his fiancée. Aera shook her head.
“W-Well about that- uhm, there’s one thing I have to tell you, but don’t get too mad,” Aera looked at you nervously, “you, uhm… you remember Mark Lee, right? Please forgive me for not telling you, but- fuck, he’s Jaehyun’s best man. He’s coming with us.” Aera closed her eyes, scared of your reaction.
“You are joking right?” your heart pounded against your chest.
“N-No, I really didn’t know that you didn’t know- a-and you know, Mark’s my oldest friend and yeah, and uhm, fuck he’s coming act natural.” Jaehyun looked at his phone and laughed, even though his screen was dark and Aera laughed with him.
“How the fuck am I supposed to act natural?!” you almost yelled bus as soon as you heard Mark’s little hi, your heart stopped beating.
It’s been almost three years since you heard his voice. Every memory played in your mind like a sad movie, the second he asked you to be his girlfriend to the end of your relationship with him, the moment he broke your heart almost made you cry again, but Aera stepped on your foot and you came back to reality.
“Hi.” You said coldly, his last word replaying in your head over and over again.
Aera and Jaehyun watched you and Mark awkwardly and Mark couldn’t find any words to say, except for, “H-hi.”
“Sooo, now that everyone’s here,” Jaehyun handed you your tickets. “Thanks.” Mark mumbled.
You were about to go on board, you didn’t say a word since Mark came and he was busy talking to Aera and Jaehyun. “Y/n, we’ll see you guys when we land alright?”
“What do you mean?” you asked confused, “We sit together? Right?”
“W-Well about that- we are flying first class, we wanted to spoil ourselves a little- please don’t get angry I’m sorry I am so sorry.” Aera whispered and you felt like you could explode any second like a volcano.
“Y-You mean… you’re telling me I have to sit with him for the next couple hours?! All alone?!” you tried to whisper but it was loud enough for Jaehyun and Mark to hear.
“shh! Just, I don’t know, sleep, or watch a movie or maybe just talk to him like a grown up, please do it for me?” she pouted.
“I’m gonna be wasted when we arrive in Greece.” You couldn’t be angry at her. “As long as you don’t kill him.”
Jaehyun and Aera entered the plane first and left you and Mark alone. “So, how have you been?”
The audacity.
“Good.” You mumbled. How long until you could enter that fucking plane?
“Me too, well, I’d say ok-“
“Look, Mark. I’m doing this for our friends, okay? I’m not interested in your life. I don’t want to talk to you unless it’s about the wedding. Did I make myself clear?” maybe you were mean and bitchy, but after everything he had done to you, you didn’t care.
He just nodded and looked down to his feet.
Half an hour later, you were seated on the plane right next to Mark. It’s not your first time flying, but it was Mark’s first time, and he was fucking scared.
“This is captain Lee Taeyong speaking, I’m your pilot for our flight to Mykonos, Greece. My co-pilot for today is Kim Doyoung. Please enjoy your flight.”
After the announcement and the instructions, you were ready to go.
The plane started moving and you could feel Mark tensing up next to you. His grip on the hand rest tightened and his knuckles turned white.
You tried so hard to ignore him, but you couldn’t. You should laugh at him, take pictures of his suffering- but you held his hand and assured it him that it’ll be over.
Mark looked at you and then back at your hands. Your thumb slowly stroked his hand and he stopped thinking about the plane and he could only think about your hand holding his.
You held his hand until you saw the flight attendant walk around.
Mark thanked you but you ignored him.
“Hello, would you like to have some water or coffee?” the flight attendant asked you and Mark.
“Just a water please.” Mark said.
“Do you have something stronger? Wine? Or champagne?”
“Sure ma’am.”
“Alright I’d like to have some champagne.” You smiled and she nodded.
Mark looked at you, eyes a little wide.
Four glasses later, you were a little tipsy.
“I think you had enough-“ Mark tried to stop you from ordering another glass.
“You don’t know anything about me!” you protested.
“Y/n, get some sleep come on-“
“Mind your own business.” You plugged in your Airpods and ignored him. You didn’t want him to interact with you and If you have to stop drinking for him to shut up, you sadly had to.
You closed your eyes and leaned back. You didn’t notice Mark’s eyes on you, watching your pretty features as your chest raised with every breath you took.
Shortly after, you fell asleep.
You could break my heart in two But when it heals, it beats for you I know it's forward but it's true
Three years ago
“It was a game. I won and now it’s over.” Mark said coldly as he looked away.
“What do you mean a game? And what is over? Mark, babe, I don’t understand.” Maybe you knew, maybe you tried to hide the fact that you saw it coming. Your relationship was too good to be true.
“I told my friends that I could fuck you within a year, and I did. We’ve been dating for ten months. I won. I can’t believe I waited ten months to fuck you.” He said casually.
“What?”
“Are you deaf? I fucked you and I got a lot of cash in exchange. Now we’re over. As simple as that.”
“You’re joking? Right? You love me, Mark. We love each other. It’s not funny.” Your voice broke.
“I’m not fucking joking,” he showed you the money he got, “Now, please get the fuck out of my apartment. Oh, and take your toothbrush with you.”
You were crying and that annoyed him. “Why are you fucking crying?!”
“M-Mark please don’t do this- I love you. I have never loved anyone like I love you. P-Please tell me you’re lying.” You sobbed.
“You know what, I’m leaving. Leave before I come back.”
Mark didn’t want to leave, but watching you cry and sob hurt him, he would never admit that to you but deep down, he felt something for you. Mark thought ending things with you was better than walking on eggshells. It was a matter of time until you would find out. He didn’t want to risk you finding out from someone else. The least he could do was tell you, face to face.
You loved him, you really loved him so much. He was a perfect boyfriend. There was not a single day you doubt him or your relationship. It hurt, you first ever heartbreak and you didn’t know how to handle the pain.
I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to When I'm lying close to someone else You're stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it If I could do it all again I know I'd go back to you I know I'd go back to you I know I'd go back to you
After your breakup with Mark, you felt your life slowly falling apart. You were barely present in class and you stopped interacting with your friends. You drowned in self-pity and you fell deeper and deeper. Only Aera was there for you. After so many years of friendship, she always got your back.
“Is the pain ever going to stop?” you asked her between sobs.
“Honey, it’ll take a while, but I promise you, it’ll stop.”
Aera and Jaehyun were dating since first year of college and he told you that he had no idea about his oldest friend’s plan. Jaehyun was happy to see his friend happy- because was happy whenever he was with you. You went on double dates and spent so much time together, Jaehyun really thought that you and Mark were going to end up together.
“I swear I didn’t know. His other friends- that Haechan guy and the others were with him. He never told me because he know that we’re friends.”
“It’s okay, Jae. You’re not as childish as they’re. Don’t worry about it. I’m fine.”
And Jaehyun and Aera never left your side until college was over. During your time thinking about life and finishing college, you met Minho, your current boyfriend. You started dating and you thought he’d help you get over Mark, but he only made you feel worse.
He was a fuckboy, he fucked anyone with tits, and even though you knew it, you still agreed to date him.
Multiple fights and breakups followed, and you always end up at Aera’s or Minho would leave for a couple days.
Whenever you were lonely, and it was the case most of time, you thought about Mark. You missed him, his lips, his touches, the way he laughed and his silly jokes. You missed the way he said I love you and how warm and loved you felt with him.
No matter how hard Mark hurt you, you didn’t regret falling in love with him. You’d do it again and again.
We never got it right Playing and replaying old conversations Overthinking every word and I hate it 'Cause it's not me And what's the point in hiding Everybody knows we got unfinished business And I'll regret it if I didn't say this isn't what it could be
Two days until the wedding
Mark shook you softly and tried to wake you up. “Hey, Y/n. We’re here. Wake up.”
“Just a little longer Markie.” You mumbled in your sleep as you held his hand. When you landed, Mark got scared again and just held your hand without asking you. You were asleep after all.
Mark’s heart was about to explode. He blushed at the nickname. You used to call him Markie every time you were sleepy or acting like a baby to get his attention.
And every fucking time he fell for it and his heart softened. “Okay baby.” This time Mark stroked your hand with his thumb.
About three minutes later, the flight attendant came to wake her. “Sir, ma’am. You need to leave the plane. We landed almost ten minutes ago.”
You slowly woke up and stretched your arms. “What? Oh, sorry.” You stood up, a little too fast. Everything was spinning, Mark held your waist and you fell on his lap.
“Are you sure we landed? Everything’s spinning around.” You held your head, not noticing that you were on Mark’s lap. “Y/n, uhm, could you stand up? But do it slowly this time!” he still held your waist. “What? Oh, shit, sorry.” You stood up, a little slower this time.
“Y/n! Mark! What took you so long? What the hell?” Aera looked strictly but as she saw Mark’s arm around your waist she softened. “S-she’s a little tipsy.” Mark said, cheeks red.
“Of course, she is.”
“Am not! Oh my god, the weather is so good!” your eyes were slightly open but as soon as you saw the sea and the beautiful architecture your smiled brightly. You pushed Mark’s arm off and started unbuttoning your shirt.
Mark’s eyes widened, and Jaehyun turned around, he didn’t want to watch you take off your clothes. Aera’s mouth fell open and Mark kept on watching you. Your tank top under your shirt rose a little and Mark’s eyes travelled to your soft skin. You put your shirt in your handbag and took out your sunglasses.
Mark’s eyes never left your body, his eyes going up to your breasts. He needs to get away from you or he’ll lose his mind.
“You can turn back baby, she’s wearing something underneath.”
“J-Jaehyun maybe we should… you know.” Mark locked eyes with Jaehyun.
“What you mean Mark?” Jaehyun asked cluelessly.
“A car, you know, for the hotel.”
“Oh yeah right. Ladies, don’t move away, we’ll go rent a car.” Jaehyun kissed Aera and then they left.
“I’m going to kill him.” You breathed out after Mark left. “You won’t.” Aera posed next to you as you took selfies together. “I will. I hate him. He acts like nothing happened, like, like he never broke my heart. As if we’re old friends or shit like that.”
“He acts totally shy around you. I think you intimidate him. Did you see how he watched you when you took off your shirt? That idiot was and is so into you.” Aera always thought that Mark loved you, no matter what he did. You don’t date someone for months just for 50 bucks. “He’s a man. As soon as they see tits, they’re on their knees.” You laughed.
“Well, maybe you should let him kneel for you a little longer. I guess he’s into that.” She giggled.
“I can’t believe that you just said that.” You closed your eyes. “Well, Jaehyun’s into that.”
“Jaehyun’s into what?” Jaehyun asked as he heard his name. “Into me of course.”
“That’s why I’m marrying you.” He pulled her in for a kiss- a very steamy and hot kiss. “Hello? Keep it PG-13 please.” You looked at them with disgust in your eyes. Mark awkwardly coughed next to you. “The car is ready.”
You were in the backseat with Mark, he was a little close for your liking. “Your leg is touching mine.” You said. “And?” he asked.
“I don’t like it.”
“Sounds like a you problem.” He said back. “Excuse me?” you said in disbelief.
Jaehyun and Aera locked eyes for a second.
Aera turned the radio louder and it was your song.
“Y/n! Isn’t that your favorite song?!” she yelled through the music. Mark glanced at you. He remembered the song. You had your first kiss with Mark, and that song was playing in the background. You were in his car, just like right now, in the backseat.
“No. It’s not.” You said as you looked out.
“What? But it’s in your Spotify playlist. What was it called? Fav songs? Best songs? His songs? My songs?” she kept on asking and you couldn’t take it anymore. “’Our songs’ but I deleted that because that playlist was stupid. Now, please. Change that songs.”
Mark smiled to himself. You still had the playlist called our songs? Mark and you created that playlist when you were dating and you always listened to it, over thousand times and it never got boring.
“Fine.” She sighed. “No! Don’t change that song. I-it is my favorite song.” Mark said and you looked at him with furrowed brows.
“Okay.”
“Change it.” You demanded.
“Don’t.” Mark was looking at you too. “Aera, change the song.” You said through gritted teeth.
“Aera I’ll jump out of the car If you change it.” Mark threatened.
“He won, Y/n, sorry. He threatened with his life.”
You didn’t say anything because the song changed. You looked back to your phone, ignoring Mark.
“We’re here.” Jaehyun parked the car and you mouth fell open. The hotel looked stunning. “Holy shit. This place is fucking gorgeous.” Aera said happily. “Only the best for my fiancée.” Jaehyun was fucking cheesy but Aera loved it.
The hotel was not exactly like a hotel. It was more like little white house’s next to each other with a pool and a perfect view. The house was bigger than you thought, many guest rooms, a big room for the couple and a very big room for you and Mark, at the end of the hallway, far away from Jaehyun and Aera’s room.
“If you excuse us for a while, we have things to discuss in our room,” Jaehyun said as he winked at Aera. “But we’ll get dinner together. Don’t go too far, stay in your rooms or go swimming we don’t really care just leave us alone for an hour-“ Aera kicked his leg again. “or three.”
After unpacking your stuff, you decided to go to the pool. You changed to your black two-piece swimsuit and left your room and at the same time Mark opened his door and left his room. He was in his swim trunks and he stopped his movements as soon as he saw you leaving your room.
Mark tried to hide his gaze on your body, but he was quite obvious. “Stop staring.”
“I-I’m not staring.” He looked away.
“Sure.” You made your way outside, to the pool. It was extremely hot, you put your towel on the beach chair next to the pool and sat down, ready to put on some sunscreen. Mark entered the porch and looked at you. You put sunscreen on your legs and didn’t break the eye contact.
You wanted to tease him, provoke him so you put on a show. You slowly pulled the straps of your swimsuit down and slowly put the sunscreen on your neck and shoulders until you reached the upper part of your breasts. You didn’t need to look at Mark, you felt his eyes on your as he put his stuff down next to you.
“Mark?”
“Y-Yes?” he stuttered, his focus on your breasts.
“Could you help me? I can’t reach my back.” You said innocently.
Mark gulped, “Y-yeah I can, uhm, I can do that for you.”
Mark wasn’t the only one watching. You watched him too. You watched him take off his shirt and you couldn’t look away. He looked hot, hotter than before. Did he start working out? He caught you watching him and smirked at you. You threw the sunscreen to him and turned around. You untied the bikini bra but held it against your breasts.
He squeezed a little on his hand and slowly put it on your lower back, slowly massaging it into your skin. You didn’t know If his hands were cold or If the sunscreen was cold, but after he touched you, your entire body shivered. You got goosebumps, you even felt your nipples harden.
“Yes Mark, just like that.” You teased him again.
“Feels good?”
“Mhm…” you moaned.
His face was close to yours, you could feel his breathe against your neck. His hands slowly travelled down, slightly about your ass. “Hands up, Mark.” You pushed his hands up again, you wouldn’t let him touch your ass.
You leaned back, your head was resting on Mark’s shoulder. You were sitting between his legs and you grabbed his thigh after he put a little bit pressure on your back. You weren’t going to lie- it really felt good. Your muscles relaxed, you closed your eyes and just let him touch you.
“You want me to go harder?” he whispered in your ear. “Yes, please go harder on me.” And he did. You squeezed his thigh, your hand travelled higher and higher, “Fuck.” He mumbled under his breath and when you stopped, you moved forwards. “That’s enough.”
You tied your bikini bra back up and turned to him. He quickly tried to hide his bulge with a towel. “Are you perhaps turned-on Mark?” you mocked him.
“Your nipples are hard. I guess you are turned-on.”
He was right. You were turned on and your nipples were hard. “No, I’m not. Why would that turn me on? My nipples are hard b-because it’s cold. And stop looking you pervert!” you crossed your arms in front of you and made your way to the pool.
“Cold my ass.” He mumbled.
You slowly entered the pool, step by step. The temperature was good, you hoped your nipples would calm down. You watched Mark enter the pool, he was on the other side looking at you.
“This is my side and that is yours. Stay on your side and don’t bother me.” You told him strictly. Mark nodded and watched you. You just stared at each other and then Mark dove into the water. He swam towards you and when he got out, he was right in front of you, face, and hair wet. Chest rising and falling, eyes on you. Mark was really close, like, really close. You could feel the bulge against your thigh.
“What are you doing?” you asked.
“Swimming.” He caged you in his arms and pushed your body softly against the wall. He looked at you and the beautiful view of Greece and the ocean he had.
“Swim on your side of the pool.” He was annoying you so much.
“I have a better view from here.” Mark said as he looked you in the eyes. “Fine, you can stay here-“
“Don’t go.” He whispered. “Why? I’m blocking your view.”
“You are the view.”
You didn’t say anything back- you couldn’t. Your heart was beating against your chest, breathing got difficult and you couldn’t calm down. He was so close, you were about to lose your mind.
Mark wasn’t doing any better. You looked ethereal. You looked as beautiful as the first time he had met you. You were even prettier and the way you were so cold to him was kind of hot. Mark thought that his feelings for you died but seeing you after such a long time only made him realize, that his feelings for you got even stronger.
He always asked Jaehyun about you, but Jaehyun punched him and told him to fuck off because he had hurt his girlfriends’ best friend and his own friend, too. In Jaehyun’s eyes, Mark was a great friend, and he would trust him with his life, but after what he had done to you, Mark lost the right to know about your life. Still, Mark tried to find out If you were feeling any better after the breakup. If you were happy without him in your life, but he always failed and reaching out to you would be the worst thing he could do to you.
Mark’s hands were on your waist. He pushed his body against yours and he knew how nervous you were, but two can play this game.
Your hand was on his toned stomach, caressing it softly and then going down. You never broke eye contact and when your hand landed on his crotch, softly squeezing his bulge, he let out a moan. You were bold, you kept on playing with his bulge and Mark’s lips were attacking your neck. He placed soft kisses and started sucking.
“Fuck, Y/n. It feels so good. Please don’t stop.” He moaned as he squeezed your waist slightly. Before you could realize what exactly was happening, your phone rang.
“Ignore it.” Mark mumbled, his lips leaving your skin for a second.
“Mark- no.”
“Please… I’m so close.” He kissed your neck up to your jaw. You wanted to keep doing whatever the fuck you were doing with fucking Mark Lee, but your phone never stopped ringing. “You’re close?”
“Yes baby, so close.”
And you stopped your hand movements immediately. “W-What no please-“ he begged but you pushed him away. “You’re a big boy, right? You don’t need me.” You stepped out of the pool and wrapped the towel around yourself. Mark was painfully hard, and he was about to cum.
You took your phone and looked at the messages you just got. Minho texted you and you realized that you just gave Mark a handjob, even though he didn’t cum, and you totally forgot about Minho’s existence. Not that Minho always had you on his mind.
“You have got to be kidding me.” You said.
Mark looked at you curiously.
You called Minho immediately, not caring If you lost so much money since you called someone abroad.
“What the fuck does that mean?!” you asked angrily.
“I’m busy- I can’t attend the wedding.”
“Busy my ass, fuck you. This is my best friend’s wedding, the least you could do is to come to the wedding and stay next to your fucking girlfriend.” You were so angry, you didn’t care about anything.
Mark didn’t want to listen to your private conversation- and he had to jerk off- but after hearing the word girlfriend, he stopped in his tracks and listened.
“I have so much work and it’s just a wedding- I’ll make it up to you.” Minho said but you were distracted by the voices and music. “A-Are you at the club? You promised you’d never do that again?!”
“I’m with some colleagues-“ he lied.
“It’s fine. I don’t have time for this right now.” You hung up without listening to him any further. You were exhausted, so fucking exhausted. You turned to your left and saw Mark watching you. “Who was that?” he asked.
“None of your business.” You were cold to him again. Mark was about to say something, but you left without giving him the chance.
The only thing on your mind right now was Mark’s lips on your body. You took a hot shower and changed into a pretty sundress, perfect for the hot weather.
Mark was under the shower, after he jerked off, you still didn’t leave his mind. All he could think about was you and the person to whom you were talking.
After an hour, Aera told you to get ready- you were all going out for dinner. You all got ready and left the house. You were in the backseat with Mark again, not exchanging a word with the three, you were in your own world.
When you felt Mark’s hand on your thigh you turned your head to him. “Huh?”
“Burgers? What do you say?” he asked softly and pulled his hand back. “Sure.” You just wanted to drink, you didn’t care about food.
Jaehyun parked next to a restaurant and when you entered, you were all shocked. It was a beautiful restaurant with a terrace and a pretty view. Aera was next to you, Jaehyun across from her and Mark right across from you.
It felt like back then when you were going on actual double dates. “I think I have a déjà vu?” Jaehyun laughed awkwardly. “Ouch!” Mark yelped. “Sorry Mark, I wanted to kick Jaehyun.” Aera said. “Why would you want to kick me?” he asked his girlfriend. “Babe, shut up.” It was so awkward.
Mark looked at you, he knew exactly what Jaehyun was talking about. “Do you guys remember when the waiter pushed Jaehyun’s head into the cake?” Mark laughed at the memory the four of your shared. You didn’t say anything, but the others laughed. “Oh my god that was hilarious. He tasted so delicious.” Aera winked at him. “Okay, well, uhm, I wasn’t talking about that.” Mark scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
“My baby likes it when her fiancée tastes like strawberries.” Jaehyun smirked at Aera.
“This is absolutely not something we want to hear, Jesus.” Mark said disgusted.
After finishing dinner, you walked on the beach together. “Hey, babe, what’s on your mind?” Aera pulled you back to talk to you. She knew something was up.
“I just- Minho isn’t coming and I’m not sad about it. Why am I not sad about it?” you asked her. “Thanks god- I mean, I think your brain started working finally. Do you even see a future with him?” she asked you. “No, I don’t b-but I’ll never have future with anyone- I guess I’m just not worth-“
“If you dare to finish that sentence, I’ll push you into the water.” Aera threatened you. “Listen, I know when you are happy, and there was not a single time you were happy in that relationship, not like you were with that dumbass-“ she pointed at Mark, “The last time I saw you truly happy was with him, and I’m not saying go get Mark, I’m saying that Minho isn’t worth it. You are too good for him and there’s someone who loves you so much and who deserved your love and attention. Not that looser.”
And your eyes never left Mark’s back.
Something inside you switched, you don’t need a man next to you to be happy, well definitely not a man like Minho- he wasn’t even a man. After all the tears and fights you finally opened your eyes, and you knew that you deserve better.
“Fuck this shit I’m breaking up with that piece of shit.” And you really did. Aera held your hand as you dialed his number and called him.
“Y/n? It’s fucking 4 am.” Minho said. “Babe-“ you heard in the background, but you didn’t fucking care.
“You know what, I don’t even fucking care. Do whatever you want- thanks god you aren’t coming. I don’t have to make memories with an asshole like you. Go back to your slut. I’ll get my stuff when I’m back. I’m done with you” And you hung up.
You felt better than ever before.
You didn’t feel like crying- you were happy, you wanted to make great memories with your best friend and after so many years, you finally broke up with Minho. You felt free and when you looked to your left, to the stunning view you had, you just smiled.
“I’m so proud of you. You know, there are a couple single friends of Jaehyun coming to the wedding, maybe you’ll get some dick.” She wiggled her eyebrows. “Jaehyun’s friends? Are we really sure about that?” you joked, looking at Mark again.
“You are right.”
Meanwhile, Mark and Jaehyun were talking about you.
“Dude, she was talking about someone not attending the wedding and like, she said girlfriend or something, I don’t know- is she… is Y/n dating someone?” Mark asked, he was scared of the answer. He had hope to get you back, but when you were someone else’s, he couldn’t do anything.
“Yeah, Minho. Such a piece of shit, like, he’s worse than you-“
“Hey!”
“Sorry, but like, what you did was an asshole move but he’s like constantly an asshole, I think that’s worse than being a dick just once. He cheats and yells and is so fucking disrespectful, if it weren’t for Y/n I’d kill him and I can’t believe that he’s coming to my wedding, god.”
Mark was shocked, you’re really dating someone like him?
“Why isn’t she leaving him?” he asked Jaehyun. “I don’t really know, they started dating right after you left, maybe she tried to move on with him.”
Mark knew he had hurt you really bad, but you tried to move on that soon? Why did you touch him like that when you have a boyfriend? Why did you let him kiss your neck and be so close?
“Let’s go to the club!” you yelled happily, and Mark turned to you. “Club?” he asked.
“Yes, the fucking club, I want to get wasted!” you sang happily.
And the next stop was a club. After a couple shots (Jaehyun didn’t drink anything except for water, he’s the driver), you and Aera danced on the dancefloor happily together. You felt so alive and excited, you jumped around and Mark couldn’t keep his eyes away from you.
The way your dress slightly rose and exposed your beautiful legs. He hoped nobody else was looking at you like he did.
“You’re staring.” Jaehyun said.
“Am not.”
“You’re so fucking obvious, it physically hurts me to see you like this.” Jaehyun patted Mark’s back.
“Do you think she still hates me?” Mark asked. “Well, I would.”
“That’s not helpful.” Mark gulped down another shot. “Alright, I’m sorry. She’s like, pissed, but I don’t think she hates you.”
“Baby! Dance with me!” Aera pulled Jaehyun to the dance floor and he didn’t resist. He had to show everyone that Aera was his girl, his fiancée. Dancing slowly turned into a make out session and not even five minutes later, they left the dancefloor and entered the restroom.
After dancing for so long, you returned back to your table. “What are you doing here all alone?” you asked Mark.
“Drinking.” He drank shot after shot. “Share with me.” You sat down next to him, really close. Your thighs touching and his gaze on your legs made you smirk.
“Let’s play a game. We’ll ask questions and If we don’t want to answer, we take a shot. Okay?”
You nodded, that could get really interesting. You ordered a whole vodka bottle and started the game.
“Ladies first.”
“What a gentleman. Well, okay, I got a question. Did you get to cum today?” you asked boldly. “I did.” He smirked at you.
“Okay, uhm, were you turned on?”
You took a shot, yes you were so turned on, but you wouldn’t say that out loud.
Mark looked you in the eyes, “Do I look hot?”
“So fucking hot.” Mark said without thinking.
“Do you want me to touch you?” he asked now, you took a shot, which was a pretty obvious answer to him. He put his hand on your thigh. He squeezed slightly. “I never said yes.” You said. “You also never said no. Do you want me to stop touching you?”
“It’s not your turn.” Which meant that you didn’t want him to stop touching you.
After a couple shots, Mark finally asked you the question he was dying to ask.
“Did you miss me?” his face was serious, and he looked you the deep in the eyes. Whenever Mark asked you a question to which you couldn’t say no, you took a shot, just like you did at this question. Mark knew that you had missed him.
“I missed you. So much.” He came closer, nose brushing yours. Mark pressed his lips on the corner of your lips. He slightly pulled back and you looked at you, you weren’t stopping him, so he continued.
The next kiss landed on the tip of your nose and then on the other corner of your lips. Mark squeezed your thigh with a little bit more pressure as he finally placed his lips on yours. Mark kissed you slowly and without realizing it, you kissed him back. You shut your eyes and let him kiss you. He kissed you with so much passion, so much longing and you cupped his cheeks to pull him closer.
His right hand held you by your waist and squeezed it, you gasped, and he put his hot muscle in your mouth. His tongue was playing with yours, he sucked on your lower lip and you could feel yourself getting wetter with every touch and every kiss. You forgot that you were in public, everyone could watch your heavy make-out session with Mark.
“M-Mark-“ you moaned.
“Mhmm…” he didn’t want to stop-
“Mark- there are people around -fuck- us-“ when he started kissing your neck, you lost it.
“Don’t care.” And he kept kissing your skin. “I can’t get enough of you.” He smirked as he left a mark on your skin.
You opened your eyes and saw Jaehyun and Aera coming. You pushed Mark away and acted like you didn’t just have the best kiss of your life.
“We’re done,” Aera giggled, “We should go back, it’s late and we should get sober until tomorrow night. I want to remember my bachelorette party.”
You just nodded, grabbed your purse, and left the club with the others coming after you.
The car ride was awkward. Mark wanted to hold your hand, but you tried to leave as much space as possible between you. Your head was spinning, you wanted him but the voice in your head told you to back off.
Mark was silent the whole ride back and after you left, he could finally breath again.
“The others are coming tomorrow, I trust my best man to take care of them.” Jaehyun and Mark talked on the way back to the house and you tried to ignore the fact that Mark was really walking right next to you.
“Of course, dude. You’re bachelor party is going to be crazy, by the way.” Mark planed something big for Jaehyun.
“No strippers.” Jaehyun warned.
“No strippers for you.” Mark teased even though he was suddenly not interested in seeing women, except for you. You were on his mind and you just didn’t want to leave.
That kind of hurt you.
You accidently locked eyes with Mark, and he wanted to punch himself. “I- I mean I don’t want them either- you know? I swear I didn’t book any strippers.” Mark tried to save himself, but you just rolled your eyes.
“We’re going to have strippers though, Aera.”
“What? Aera, babe, I thought we said no strippers.” Jaehyun pouted.
“I told her! Y/n No strippers!” Aera panicked.
“No strippers for you.” You mocked Mark and he glared at you.
“No strippers and that’s final.” Jaehyun said strictly like a dad, pointing his finger at me.
“I was just joking- don’t worry. No strippers. Promise.”
You could break my heart in two But when it heals, it beats for you I know it's forward but it's true
The next day was hectic. Family members and friends finally arrived and you, as the maid of honor, tried your best to be there for them and for Aera. Mark on the other hand just hung out with Jaehyun. The wedding is tomorrow and the bachelor parties are tonight. Aera was a little stressed, even with your help. She was talking with the catering company and you could see how exhausted she was.
“Aera, go take a long relaxing bath, I got this. I have your list and all of the information. Let me manage this, you need to relax and enjoy this. I don’t want you to stress.” You told her.
“You’re right, I trust you with this.”
You did everything you had to do. You were done with the check list and when you were about to go to your room to take a quick nap, a voice interrupted you.
“So, Y/n. Did you get hotter? Or is it just the weather in Greece?”
You turned around and faced Johnny Suh. A close friend of Jaehyun and he was always flirting with you, even when you dated Mark, but it was harmless. He was always nice and kind and you flirted back, just for fun of course and well, you liked making Mark jealous.
“Oh look at you! Long time no see.” You hugged him and the other boys trailing after him. Mark leading the boys and watching you and Johnny flirt right in front of him.
You hugged the others, and they didn’t know how to act, since Mark was glaring at them, which you didn’t notice.
“So Y/n, do you need any help?”  Johnny said, winking at you.
“I’m actually done with everything, I was about to take a nap.”
“A nap? Come on, we’re in Greece. Let’s go to the beach.” Johnny suggested and everyone agreed with him, even Mark.
You thought about it for a second. Going to beach sound perfect, who knows If you ever come to Greece again.
“Alright, I’ll go get my stuff and change.”
You changed to your bikini and a sundress. You packed your back, a couple towels, sunscreen, and your sunglasses. The boys were already waiting for you. Jungwoo, Mark, Johnny and Yuta were the only ones who wanted to go to the beach. Jaehyun was napping and the others wanted to go to the city.
You were sitting between Jungwoo and Mark. Johnny was driving and Yuta took the passenger seat. You pressed your legs together, you didn’t want to touch Mark’s legs. After everything that happened last night, you were scared and you didn’t know what to do. Mark wasn’t doing any better. It was so awkward and if he could, he would kiss you again.
Not even 15 minutes later, you arrived at the beach and it was such a beautiful view.
“Wow, it’s so beautiful.” You said with wide eyes.
“Not as beautiful as you are.” Johnny flirted and you softly hit him on the shoulder, “Shut up.”
Mark tried to ignore Johnny’s flirty behavior, but it was so hard, even back when you and Mark were still dating, he hated it whenever Johnny flirted like that with you. He didn’t even know why, he shouldn’t have cared, he was only dating you for the money, right? But now it was different. Now he cared even more, he wanted you and it drove him crazy that you ignored him all day.
When you settled down right in front of the beach, Yuta and Jungwoo dropped everything and ran straight into the water.
“They didn’t put any sunscreen on.” Johnny mumbled, “Can you help me put some on Y/n?” he asked you.
“Sure.”
Once again, Mark wanted to punch his friend.
The way you put sunscreen on Johnny’s back was quick, you wanted to annoy Mark, you didn’t want him to think that you were really interested in Johnny. Johnny thanked you and asked you if you need help too and when you nodded, Mark remembered when he put sunscreen on your back yesterday.
Mark smirked at the memory, you’re so beautiful and your moans were so pretty and-
Mark’s thoughts were interrupted by you.
“Johnny, you are so strong, it feels so good.”
How could you say that, Mark thought.
“Y/n are you still with that piece of shit?” Johnny asked you as he massaged your back. “No I broke up with him.”
“So you’re single right?”
“Fuck- Yes, single.” You closed your eyes and enjoyed the massage you were getting.
“Hyung, I think Yuta is calling your name.” Mark interrupted.
“I can’t hear anything?” you mumbled.
“For real, he called your name just a second ago, maybe you should go look after him.”
Johnny’s plan worked. Johnny could hear the jealousy in Mark’s voice. Johnny wasn’t really interested in you, yeah you were pretty and you have a great personality, but you were still Mark’s ex-girlfriend and Johnny knew that Mark still liked you, even though he never admitted that.
“Alright, maybe Mark can continue?” Johnny asked you.
“I don’t know… Mark’s not as strong as you are.” You teased.
“I am strong, did you forget about yesterday-“
“Okayyyy.” Johnny laughed awkwardly and left you two.
Mark placed his hands on your back, he softly massaged you. You were laying on your stomach and Mark slowly untangled your bikini straps.
“How is this?” he asked you as he put a little pressure on your back.
“G-Good, so good.”
“You like making me jealous huh?” his hand travelled down but he stopped right before your butt.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You said innocently even though you knew exactly what he was talking about.
“Oh baby, you do. You know what I’m talking about,” he put a little bit of pressure on your neck, “I really want to spank you for behaving like a brat.”
“Do it.”
“Don’t play with me.” Mark bend forward and pressed his lips on your bare shoulder. He left wet kisses on your skin and you closed your eyes and let him.
You missed him. You missed Mark so much. You wanted him and he wanted you, but there was still something holding you back.
You got interrupted by the ringing of your phone.
Mark pulled back and when you tried to stand up to reach for your phone, you forgot that your bikini was loose.
“Oh shit-“ you laid back and Mark giggled. He tied your straps back together and you finally answered your phone.
“Hi Aera, yeah we’re at the beach. Everything is done, don’t worry I took care of everything. Yeah be ready at 9 I’m not telling you what I’ve planned. The dress code is red and short. No Jaehyun won’t get jealous because he won’t get to see you until the wedding. Oh, I’m- I’m with Mark right now- would you shut up we’re not-“ you glanced at Mark who was already looking at you, “I’m hanging up now.”
Aera teased you with Mark, she asked you why you were alone with him and if you were doing dirty things with him.
“I’m going to the boys, are you coming?” you asked him softly.
Mark just nodded and trailed after you.
I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to When I'm lying close to someone else You're stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it If I could do it all again I know I'd go back to you I know I'd go back to you
After your fun beach day, you got ready for the bachelorette party. Aera’s three other friends were also coming and knew about your plan. You booked a limousine and a VIP place in a club, it wasn’t much, but Aera liked it the traditional way.
After changing to a short red dress with thin straps, you put on makeup and you were ready to go. The others were also ready and Aera tried to hide herself.
“Jaehyun can’t see me like this- he’d rip this dress off me, then he would fuck me and then he would burn it.”
“Calm down, Johnny told me that they already left.” You assured her.
“Fine. Fuck I look so hot.” Aera opened her front camera once again and looked at herself.
“Yes you do and now let’s get wasted!!” one of her other friends said.
Driving in a limousine was fun, Aera popped the champagne bottle carefully and after driving around the city for 3 hours and having fun in the limousine, you arrived at the club.
You entered the VIP lounge and the night started perfectly. Everyone was having fun, dancing, and drinking.
Aera secretly texted Jaehyun that she missed him and loved him. She also left for about five minutes just to talk to him in the restroom.
“Where the hell were you?” you asked her.
“I was talking to Jaehyun I’m sorry I’ll turn my phone off now.”
And she did, of course after she texted Jaehyun that she was turning her phone off, she didn’t want him to worry and also have fun.
After that, Aera drank and danced like there was no tomorrow.
You were also having the time of your life, it’s been so long since you danced freely in a club. No, it’s been so long since you had fun at all. When you were with Minho, you never had any fun. It was always about him, his pleasure, his feelings, everything about him. All you could think about was Mark when you were with Minho. No matter how much Mark hurt you, when he was your boyfriend, he was always perfect. He valued you more than Minho ever did. You shouldn’t be thinking about Mark when you were lying next to someone else, but you couldn’t help it.
“Y/n?”
You turned around and your eyes met Mark’s.
“M-Mark? Are you real? Or am I dreaming?” you giggled, you were tipsy.
“I’m real,” he stroked your cheek, “This island is so small, we ended up at the same club.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck and he put his hands on your waist. “I was thinking about you the whole day.” you admitted, you were drunk and drunk you always said the truth.
“Me too. Couldn’t get you out of my head.”
“Are you drunk?” you asked.
“No, but I’m still telling you the truth. I missed you.”
“I miss-“
“Y/n! Jaehyun is here and he can’t see Aera, it’s almost midnight! It’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!” Aera’s friend giggled, “and she’s so fucking drunk and I’m so drunk too,” she giggled again.
You sobered up quickly, thanks god you didn’t drink much, there has to be someone sober enough to take care of everyone and you could never forgive yourself if anything happens before the wedding.
“I’ll take her back to the hotel, you guys can stay and have more fun.” You told her and she thanked you and told you to call if anything happens.
Mark followed you, he helped you carry Aera to the taxi.
“I’ll come with you.” Mark said.
“Don’t worry about us. I can take care of us, go have fun with the boys.” You smiled softly.
“No I want to be with you- I mean, I was bored anyway, and tomorrow is the big day, I should have some… sleep.” He scratched the back of his head nervously.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
When you arrived at the hotel, Mark helped you carry Aera to your room. She was going to stay with you for tonight, Jaehyun shouldn’t see her before the wedding.
“Sleep tight, tomorrow is going to be your big day.” you said as you tugged her in.
You turned to Mark with a small smile on your face, “Thank you. For helping me with her.”
“Of course. Uhm, do you, only if you want to of course, do you want to drink something with me? In m-my room if that’s okay for you. I mean it’s still early and I’m not really sleepy, you know.” Mark rambled.
“Yeah, sure.” You said shyly.
Mark opened the door and you entered his room. His room was clean and had a perfect view. Even at night, the view was beautiful. The lights in the dark, the moon shining brightly, it looked mesmerizing.
You stood in front of his window and Mark watched you with a smile on his lips to you, the view was everything but to Mark, you were everything. You looked absolutely beautiful to him.
Mark took a couple steps and was now right behind you. He wrapped his arms around you and put his head on your shoulder. You intertwined your fingers with his and pulled him closer to you.
“It’s beautiful.”
“You are beautiful.” He whispered softly against your ear.
You turned around, his arms still around you and his face so close to yours.
“I couldn’t tell you this in the club so I’m going to say it now,” you whispered against his lips, “I missed you too, Mark. I missed you so much.”
And without thinking twice, you both leaned in and kissed.
You closed your eyes immediately and you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him even closer, he did the same, he pulled you closer by your waist and pressed you against the window.
He kissed you gently and slowly, your heart pounded against your chest and Mark’s heart was racing, too. As if time stopped right there, as if they were never apart. Mark’s right hand was on your jaw, softly pushing your head up to get better access to your mouth, you let out a soft moan, Mark used the opportunity to meet your tongue.
The kiss was perfect, slow but still so passionate.
Mark pulled back, you were breathing heavily and heat rose from your stomach to your chest, a feeling you couldn’t really describe.
He left wet kisses on your cheek, down to your jaw and then your neck. You tilt your head back, Mark sucked on your soft skin as your hands tangled in his hair, lightly pulling.
You could feel yourself getting wetter and wetter, you just wanted to take off this dress and let Mark fuck you.
“D-Do you want this?” he asked you.
“Yes-“ you whimpered as he sucked on your sensitive spot.
Mark pulled you to his bed, with you on top of him straddling his lap. Your lips connected again, you tried to unbutton his shirt as he grabbed your butt softly and squeezed it.
You almost ripped his shirt, but you didn’t care.
It was your turn to press your lips on his neck.
Mark closed his eyes, the way his crotch met you when you pressed yourself against him, the way your lips kissed his soft skin, leaving pretty marks on Mark.
Mark couldn’t take it anymore. His pants were so tight, it almost hurt. He wanted to feel you, he needed to feel you. Mark changed positions, he was on top of you now.
“Take this off- please, fuck, take this off now.” He looked for the zipper of your dress and when he finally found it, he wanted to cry.
He took off your dress, and fuck, he was going crazy. You weren’t wearing a bra, only your black panties.
“Fuck, you’re so perfect.”
The way Mark looked at you made you feel so beautiful. You weren’t shy like you used to be, you felt good and you wanted him so bad.
You pulled him up for a short kiss.
Mark took off his pants as fast as he could and he was painfully hard. He couldn’t wait to be inside of you. His lips were on your nipple, he sucked on your breast and his hand was playing with the other one. After sucking on your one nipple, his attention was on the other one. “Mark- fuck, it feels so good. Please don’t stop.” You moaned.
You were so wet and feeling Mark’s cock against your thigh turned you so on.
While playing with your nipples, his one hand found your pussy. He stroked it over your panties, but then his hand travelled in your panties and he started playing with your wet pussy.
“Baby you are so wet. All for me?”
“Yes, yes. So wet for you, Mark.” You closed your eyes tightly. It felt so good to feel his hands on you again.
Even thought Mark wanted to taste you, he couldn’t take it anymore, he needed to be in you now.
“You can take me, right baby? I need to fuck you.”
“Please fuck me Mark.” You also couldn’t take it anymore, you needed to cum.
Mark took off his boxers and hovered above you. “F-Fuck I don’t have a condom.”
“You don’t have a condom? Why?” you asked him.
“Well, I didn’t think that I was going to fuck you here.”
“What if you’d met someone else here?” you asked curiously.
“I’m not interested in someone else. I want you- I always wanted you.” He admitted shyly.
You looked each other in the eyes for a couple seconds, he leaned in and pecked your lips. He pulled back and looked at you again.
“You can fuck me without a condom. I’m on the pill and I haven’t had sex in months,” You can’t even remember the last time Minho fucked you. “And I never fucked without a condom after I had sex with you.”
“Me too. I mean after… after you I haven’t fucked raw.”
“Okay.” You said softly.
“Okay.” He leaned in and pressed his lips on yours.
While kissing you, he slowly pushed his cock in you. You grabbed his biceps tightly, he stretched you, you haven’t been fucked in so long, you got even tighter.
Mark pulled back and looked at you. “You feel so good around me. So, so fucking good. I missed you so much.” With that, Mark pushed his entire length inside of you.
“Fuck-“
He was fucking into you, slowly but hard. You could feel his entire length and he always hit your sweet spot. “Right there- Mark, fuck.”
“I-I want to ride you. Mark, fuck.” You moaned.
Mark turned you, you were now on top of him.
You bounced on his cock up and down, his hands on your waist pushed you down and he thrusted his hips to fuck into you. Your hands were on his shoulder, holding him. Even though you wanted to ride him, he was fucking you hard and good.
“M-Mark I’m gonna cum. Fuck Fuck Mark-“
And then your climax hit you. You collapsed on top of him and he still fucked into you. “Fuck feel so good. Y-you feel so good.” Mark was so close and the way he kept fucking you overstimulated you. You clenched one last time and Mark came inside of you, painting you walls white. He moaned your name as he came and you could feel him twitching inside of you.
Mark wrapped his arms around you and pressed you against his chest. Mark pulled his cock out of you. You could hear his heart beating against his chest.
The night was perfect, after cleaning you up, you were wrapped in his arms once again. You talked about everything that night. Everything you had missed when you were apart.
“Can I ask you something?” he said.
“Sure.”
“Did you ever love him? Minho or whatever his name was.” Mark was jealous, even though you were in his arms.
“No, I don’t think that I’ve ever loved anyone, except for you. I always loved you.”
Mark smiled and kissed your temple.
“Why were you with him? Why didn’t you break up with him? Jaehyun told me that he’s an asshole.”
“After- after you broke up with me, I was… lost. I didn’t know what to do. I felt worthless and just- useless. He made me feel- wanted? I don’t know. I needed someone to forget you and he didn’t care. He never cared about me but he made me believe that he loved me. And that’s all I wanted. I just wanted to be loved.” You whispered the last part. A tear escaped your eye and you were quick enough to wipe it away. But Mark still noticed.
Mark felt bad. He never wanted you to feel this way. You were a dream. You were so perfect and it was his fault that you felt worthless. If anyone was useless, it was Mark.
“It’s my fault a-and I’m sorry. I’m so sorry that you felt that way, but it’s not true. You are so much more. You are perfect in every possible way. You are more than anyone could ask for. I’ll never forgive myself that I made you feel this way.” Mark teared up and pulled you even closer.
“C-Can I ask you something?” you asked this time.
“Y-Yes.”
“What did you do with the money?” you were always curious about that.
Mark gulped hard, the memory pained him. “I gave it back.”
“What?”
“I couldn’t take money from a stupid bet, a bet that hurt you. I wasn’t proud of what I did. I wanted to forget that it happened, that I did that to you. I wanted to erase that from my memory. But I couldn’t erase you.”
“Why?”
“Because I love you. I loved you back then and I love you now. I never stopped loving you but I was too scared to reach out to you. I thought you hated me and it took me long to realize how much I love you.”
You looked up to him, you didn’t want to cry but your eyes were teary. “You love me?”
“Yes, I love you. I love you so much. There was not a single day without missing you, not a single day without regret eating me alive.”
“S-So you still love?”
“Yes. I love you.” He looked you deep in the eyes.
“I love you too.”
Mark smiled widely. Oh, how he missed hearing that you loved him.
“I’m sorry for everything.”
“It’s okay.” You pecked his lips but that wasn’t enough for Mark. He climbed on top of you and kissed you passionately.
His hand was on your naked thigh, stroking it softly. You were wet and when Mark put his hand on your wet pussy, you moaned.
Mark circled your clit and his tongue played with yours. It felt so good. He slowly put two fingers inside of your cunt and thrusted them in and out. You clenched around his fingers and you could feel your climax coming. Mark added a third finger.
His lips were back on your skin. Mark softly kissed your boobs and sucked on your sensitive nipples.
“Are you going to be a good girl and cum?” he asked you between his kisses.
“Yes- I’m so close.”
“Look at me.” His face was close to yours again, and when you looked at him, at his dark doe eyes, you came.
After you calmed down, you glanced at the clock in the room.
“Shit, Mark. It’s almost six in the morning. We need to sleep.”
You talked the whole night and after two orgasms and cuddling, you didn’t notice that it was already this late.
“But I’m hard.” He pouted.
“Do you want me to suck you off?”
“Yes, please baby, please suck me off.” He begged.
You were on the edge of the bed, your face right in front of his hard cock.
You slowly licked from the bottom to his tip. You pumped his cock in your hand a couple times before you put it inside of your mouth. After pumping him, you licked the slit on his tip.
“Babe- don’t tease me.” He whimpered.
“What do you want me to do?”
“Anything- but just please, do something.”
You put his entire length inside of your mouth, bobbing your head up and down and pumping the part of his dick you couldn’t put inside of your mouth.
You stopped bobbing you head and stared licked his tip again. “Babe- please. Please make me cum.”
Mark was going crazy. He needed to cum, his cock was so sensitive now, he twitched every time you licked or touched him.
“Okay, baby. I teased you enough, I’ll make you cum. You want to cum right?” you kissed his cock and he nodded. “Please. I want to cum on your face.”
You sucked his dick properly this time, he was so sensitive and so close, not even ten seconds later, he came on your face, just like he wanted to.
“Fuck, fuck fuck. That was so fucking good, babe, fuck.” Mark was breathing heavily, the intense orgasm tired him. You cleaned you face, fortunately he only came on your face and inside of your mouth.
You crawled back to him and kissed his lips. “Thank you.” He thanked you. “I love sucking your dick.”
“No, well yeah thank you for that too but I’m thankful for everything. Thank you for forgiving me.”
“I love you.”
“I love you.”
And you fell asleep in his arms.
I'd go back to you I'd go back to you What was there, wasn't sure But I'd go back to you I know I'd go back to you
Not even three hours later, your alarm clock woke you and Mark up.
“I don’t want to leave you.” You mumbled.
“I don’t want you to leave either. Stay a little longer.” He kissed your shoulder.
“I can’t I have to wake up Aera. It’s her big day, it needs to be perfect.”
“Everything you do is perfect.” Mark flirted.
“Shut up, I’ll see you later okay? Thank you for last night.”
“I love you.” He leaned down and kissed you. After kissing for two minutes to pulled back again. “I have to go.”
“Just five more minutes.”
Almost thirty minutes later, you tiptoed to your bedroom. Aera was wide awake playing with her phone when she saw you.
“Where the fuck were you and why are- oh my god.” Aera understood immediately. “You bitch fucked Mark didn’t you.”
“Yes, and now shut up and get ready for your wedding day!”
“I know I know, but like, I’m happy if you are happy. Are you happy?” she asked you worriedly.
“Yes. I’ve never been happier I think.” You smiled. You were really happy and so in love with Mark.
“Then I’m happy.”
Hours later, you found yourself in your maid of honor dress, looking absolutely gorgeous. Mark was helping you with everything. With the catering company, the guests and everything else that needed to be taken care of.
Mark stole kisses from you here and there and now he pulled you back to his bedroom and kissed you intensely.
“You look so stunning- I can’t stop staring at you. I love you, pretty girl.” He kissed you again.
“M-Mark fuck, you look so hot and I really want to fuck you, b-but, fuck we can’t.” you closed your eyes and let him kiss your neck.
“Okay, okay. I’m trying to stay calm, but fuck, you look so good I want to rip that dress off.”
“We’ll have the whole night. Let’s go back, people are going to get suspicious.”
When you went back, you met Johnny and Yuta on your way.
“Where are you two coming from?” Yuta asked.
“My bedroom- ouch.” You kicked Mark’s leg.
“What were you doing in your bedroom?” Johnny asked amused. “Do you want me to show you?” Mark asked with a smirk.
“Mark? What the f-“ and then Mark pulled you in and kissed you fully on the lips.
He could finally show Johnny that you belonged to him, that you always belonged to him.
“Well I guess we saw that coming.” Yuta laughed with Johnny. The two left and you were still kissing.
“Ew! He is eating her Mommy!” you heard a little girl scream.
You pulled away immediately and apologized.
Mark laughed his ass off as he walked you to Aera’s dressing room. “I’m going to eat you tonight. But not your mouth. I’m going to eat your cunt.”
“I can’t wait. I’ll see you at the ceremony alright? I need to stay with Aera now.”
“Okay baby.” He kissed you goodbye.
The wedding ceremony ended so quickly, next thing you knew you were in Mark’s arms slow dancing. Aera and Jaehyun’s wedding was truly beautiful. Everything went smoothly and you were finally resting in the arms of your lover.
Aera and Jaehyun were also slow dancing and smiling happily. Not only because it was the most important night of their lives- also because their best friends were finally happy together.
“Y/n?” Mark said your name softly.
“Mhm?” you hummed with closed eyes.
“I’m really sorry that I put you trough all of that, and I’m sorry that it took me so long to realize my real feelings for you. You’re the most wonderful person I’ve ever met in my entire life and I’m going to do everything I can to keep you in my arms. I don’t want to see sad ever again. I’ll love you until my last breath.”
You promised yourself you weren’t going to cry that night, but a couple tears still escaped.
“You know, I was hurt but I healed and I’m more than ready to do this with you again. It was you. My heart always longed for you, and I don’t think that there could be anyone I would love as much as I love you. You could break my heart thousand times, I would go back to you over and over again.” You looked up to him, he could see the love you felt for him in your eyes.
“I love you.”
“I love you.” And with that, Mark pressed his lips on yours and kissed you with so much love and adoration.
I'll go back to you I'll go back to you I know I'd go back to you I'll go back to you I'll go back to you I know I'd go back to you

CHAPTER 1
CHAPTER 2
Tumblr media
“Insane madness of the living can be more, more terrible than the bloody hunger of the undead...”
― Silvia Liam
The rules of hunting down prey are simple. First, you observe to take note of their weakness, then you stalk...waiting for the right opportunity to take your shot. Hunting is more often about a game of time than aim sometimes. You jump too soon and you risk scaring your target to a successful escape, or you do it too late that you let them fully slip through your grasp. Hunting... has always been about perfect timing.
"You already know the rules of the game, right boy?"
The frail form of a seven year old child cowered against the foot of a dead tree, eyes shaking as it regarded the man leering at him. The sky was a deep dark velvet above them, and the only source of light came from the full moon that dipped in and out between the passing clouds. A bell dingled from the tight chain strapped around his left ankle when he moved, the sound causing the smile on the man's face twist into a wicked grin.
The hum of a gun being cocked sent the boy to give a choked sob. He shakily tried to stand up from his spot and pressed his palm against the rough bark of the tree to support himself, his wide eyes set on the looming form that has taken a step closer to where he stood.
"It's the first sturgeon moon tonight, so we are going to change the rules a little bit, okay?" Those words only made the child shake harder, the thin shirt he had now clinging to him like second skin due to the cold sweats gripping him.
"You run. And if I catch you, you die," the man cooed as he craned his face a bit to the side, causing the light from the moon to illuminate his features briefly. He looked handsome, inhuman, like he was one of the fallen souls exiled to earth at the beginning of times.
The man moved the arm holding his hunting gun and used it to lift the chin of the boy still cowering in front of him. He smiled—a smile so beautiful and dangerous it can make angels weep.
"But if you die, then your brothers will be the one running in this forest to take your place. So...make sure I don't catch you, hmm?"
Tears finally streamed down the bruised cheeks of the child as he realized what he was up to tonight. Eyes wide with fear, he pushed himself off the tree he was leaning on and started making a run for it.
He could still hear his words even as he dove deep into the woods, the bell on his feet masking his thundering footsteps.
"Seven bullets! You have one minute to hide, son~!"
Gunshots pierced the night air like a wailing scream.
------
Bang!
Jeno lowered his hunting rifle and let go of his breath slowly. Despite the shadows cast by the towering trees surrounding him, his eyes could still clearly see the slight flailing of the fawn he just shot before it went completely still. Above him, a flock of crows looked down on the fallen prey with their beady eyes, as if gauging the best time to dive for their feast.
He slowly picked himself up from his hiding spot, a wide oak tree with overarching branches that hid him from sight. He's been crouched there for a good half hour or so, just waiting for the fawn to finally circle the area. He's been observing it for the past week or so, taking note of its routes, and today he decided to make the kill.
Unlike other hunters, Jeno prefers the thrill that comes with stalking his prey over simply making a successful game. For him, the fun of hunting is in the process and not in its ending—a kill , after all, means nothing if you didn't work hard for it.
He looked down on the small fawn now as it lay lifeless on the mossy forest ground with its glassy eyes still open. Leaning over, he lightly pressed his hand over it to feel its heartbeat just to check if he killed it properly.
It was so beautiful and graceful just prancing in the forest a few days ago….it would be a shame if it suffers now.
"Hey, you got it?" A voice from the edge of the clearing made him look around. Haechan emerged from between the trees, his own hunting rifle slung over his shoulder.
"Yup. What did you get?"
The other boy lifted a brown sack and gave it a light shake.
"Got three rabbits. I'm too lazy to skin them here so I'll just ask Taeyong-hyung to do it. Want to go back now?"
Jeno turned to look back at the fawn in front of him briefly before finally shaking his head. He didn't really want to go back to the mansion yet, so he decided to just throw an excuse to the other for now.
"You go ahead. I'll just skin it right here," he said casually over his shoulder at his brother. Haechan, too cold and too bored to stay another minute in the humid woods, gave a wave of his hand before turning back. Unlike Jeno, he prefers the comforts and luxuries of the manor over anything else.
"I'll go ahead then. Try to get back before nightfall, the forest can be a dangerous place~" he said in a sing-song voice, knowing full well it was a useless warning he just gave.
Jeno simply ignored him and silently pulled his skinning knife from his belt so he could get to work. Nights in the forest have never scared him, he knew it like the back of his hand.
If anything, it is the creatures there who should be terrified of him.
------
You glanced over at Jisung and Chenle who were currently immersed in their readings over the page you’ve been scanning. The sun is about to set in just a few minutes and you have the last session of the day scheduled for the pair before you could pack up and go home. Your lips slightly quirked into a smile as you watched Jisung lean over slightly into the other to silently ask about something, Chenle looking up from his pages to roll his eyes before patiently answering. The two have such different personalities from each other, which adorably and ironically, makes them work so well together.
If you're going to be honest with yourself now, you'd say it is your time with the two youngest that you enjoy the most as Rosewood's tutor. Chenle and Jisung were withdrawn and shy at first, but the pair slowly started warming up to you as time went by. Maybe it's because they are younger, but you prefer the innocent air around them every time you would have your lessons. Chenle is the chattier and the more confident of the two, but with his help, even the shy Jisung also started lightly joking around with you on his best days.
That's not to say that you hate your time with the rest of the brothers. You've only ever had one session with Mark—which went so well as expected from the eldest—while the rest have always been polite and casual. There isn’t really anything about your job and connection with any of the boys that should put you on edge and yet... you have to admit that there are still those rare moments when you just feel as if something is out of place. You couldn't really place your finger on it, nor have you blatantly caught anything suspicious, but sometimes you just feel odd whenever you are around any of the four middle children. It’s something similar to being watched...like there is an imaginary pair of eyes always pinned to the back of your head, or the ghost feeling of hands hovering around your throat.
Your eyes flickered now to the grand clock on the far side of the room which finally struck five. Closing your own book which you have been scouring over, you called out towards the two who quickly looked up from their work.
"Alright, time's up. Have you answered the first two questions at least?" You asked with a smile. Chenle groaned and pointed at Jisung accusingly.
"I only got three questions because he kept disturbing me, noona."
Jisung frowned and you had to keep your laugh back with how offended he looked.
"Hey, I wasn't disturbing you. I was just asking questions."
"Okay, okay. Don't fight now. Do you want an extension for the chapter quiz? We do have our next lesson the day after tomorrow."
Their faces simultaneously lit up.
"Can we do that?" Chenle asked.
"Yes, but I'll have to leave you the assignment of reading another chapter and finishing the questionnaire for that as well. That'll be your homework, okay?" You tried your best to put on your best impression of a stern look, which only made the two giggle.
"Okay, noona."
"You promise you'll do it?"
Jisung put up his right hand and placed his left one over his heart.
"We promise."
That made you chuckle. "Well then, that will be all for today. I'll see you again tomorrow, okay? I'll have lessons with your brothers but just come to me if you have any questions." You gathered the rest of the papers that you have sprawled on the desk you were using before waving the two goodbye.
You were in the middle of trying to fit in a rather stubborn pile of files on your bag that you didn't really notice the tall figure that entered from the front door. When you finally looked up, it was already too late for you to stop crashing straight first into someone's chest, if not for the strong hands that held you steady. You felt an arm settle on your waist, and another on your back as you almost toppled when you hastily stepped back.
"Oh! I am so sorr—" you looked up with wide eyes to see Jeno looking down on you. Your words died in your throat when your eyes caught the red stain on his neck and you gasped.
"Jeno, what happened?!" Your voice raised in panic as you stared wide eyed at the blood running down the side of his neck. He gave you a slight look of confusion before raising a hand to touch the area you've been staring at.
"Ah… this…"
You didn't wait for him to finish. Quickly, you grabbed his hand and turned on your heels to drag him to the opposite direction. You didn't look back to see his surprised expression, and before he could even say anything, you had already pushed him into one of the expansive bathrooms down the nearest hallway.
"Sit there."
You pushed him urgently on the closed toilet seat before you proceeded to rummage on the hidden compartment behind the mirror that Taeyong showed you before. You quickly grabbed the box of first aid kit there and hastily opened an antiseptic wipe.
"Uhm...noona…"
You didn't pay him any attention, too focused on what you needed to do. You quickly kneeled in front of him so that you were more eye-level with each other before finally pressing the damp wipe against his injury.
"Shh. This might sting a little. We have to see how deep your wound is and stop the bleeding," you said, a small frown creasing your brows as your fingers gently dabbed at his skin. You were so focused on what you were doing that you didn't notice the light in his eyes shift as he looked at you closely.
His gaze dropped to your slightly parted lips, then at the look of concentration on your features.
Are you...worried about him?
Your frown deepened as you finally managed to wipe most of the blood away from his skin. The antiseptic sheet you were using has already turned dark red from the liquid, but still you haven't—
"It's not my blood," Jeno said plainly, his voice suddenly sounding too close to you. You looked up to him in confusion, and for the first time you realized how close the two of you were. His gaze didn't waver from your face, pinning you into the spot where you are kneeling in front of him.
"Not your…"
"I was hunting. I was skinning the game I caught but my hand slipped and I hit a major vein. This is deer blood."
If your face wasn't burning after realizing how close the two of you were at the moment, it is definitely on fire now. You opened your mouth to say something, then closed it again in embarrassment. Jeno continued staring at you and you watched as his lips ever so slightly curled into a smirk.
That made you suddenly stand up from your crouch. He calmly followed you with his gaze, a mix of curiosity and amusement in his brown eyes.
"I-I'm so sorry. I thought you were injured so I panicked," you stuttered as your eyes fell on the bloody wipe that is still on your hands. You quickly ducked to throw it away just so you could avoid his gaze.
Jeno followed your every move closely before slightly leaning his head to the side. He seems to be mulling over something, face now devoid of any telling emotions.
"Were you concerned about me?" He asked, tone curious. You glanced at him in surprise, stunned that he would ask such a question. It was bad enough that you stumbled over your words when you finally managed a reply.
"Of course I was concerned. Anyone would be."
Jeno slowly stood up from where he sat and for the first time, you realized just how much he towered over you. It didn't help that the two of you were in a much smaller space than usual which sent a wave of claustrophobia to wash you over briefly. You involuntarily took a step back, eyes only high enough to meet the base of his neck.
"Why though?" He asked again, and you could genuinely hear the curiosity in his tone. You frowned. He was asking...as if he isn't used to such a level of care. As if things like this are so foreign to him.
"Because you are my student. And I wouldn't want to see anyone hurt."
For a moment, Jeno didn't say anything else. He simply looked at you while you tried so hard not to flinch under his heavy gaze.
Then, as if a switch had been turned, he took a step to the side to free some space between the two of you. Your eyes shot to his face when he did that, and you were met by his boyish smile that crinkled his eyes into half moons.
That made you blink. You see it on him whenever he is with the rest of his brothers, but it was the first time he ever smiled that way to you.
"Thank you, noona. I appreciate it."
It was as if a blockage in your throat dissolved all of a sudden. You smiled back, a sense of relief overtaking you.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sorry I panicked, too."
"It's cute. Nobody has ever…" he trailed off before shrugging. "I guess, it's because we're all men here. So none of us are used to that kind of care."
You nodded slowly at that. It really must be hard...being in this kind of household. Now that you think about it, the boys are technically orphans.
"Anyway, I have to go. I need to get back before dark. I'm not really a big fan of night drives," you said as you picked up the bag you had haphazardly thrown into the sink in your panic earlier. Jeno simply watched you silently from where he stood.
"Make sure to be careful next time alright? Don't give anyone a heart attack again," you smiled before finally excusing yourself out. He smiled back and gave a nod of goodbye as you closed the door.
Jeno turned to the mirror in front of him and slowly touched the part of his neck where your fingers grazed earlier. It was cold now from the antiseptic you had rubbed, but he could still remember how good the warmth of your touch felt against his skin when you were trying to wash the blood away. He curled his fingers slightly over the area now, leaving half moon marks as his nails dug there.
Oh what he would do to have you touch him again.
-------
"Pretty neat, huh?" You grinned at Jaehyun as he parked the car in front of the manor. You watched as your boyfriend's eyes moved over the impressive facade of the structure in front of him, knowing full well that his architect training is kicking in.
"Not bad. Victorian-era, probably. The stones look old but the place looks pretty well-kept…"
You grinned to yourself now as you leaned back on your seat. Of course you have absolutely no reason to be proud of something you don't own, but you can't help but boast a little at your boyfriend. It is your workplace after all.
Jaehyun turned to his seat now to give you a slightly guilty smile. He sighed before reaching out for your hand.
"Are you sure you will be okay though? I'm sorry about borrowing your car all of a sudden, the timing is just so bad."
You gave his hand a squeeze before patting it with your other. He was supposed to go on a three day business trip away from the city when his car, all of a sudden, just wouldn't start this morning. He wouldn't make it if he waits for the shop to fix it so the both of you decided to just have him use yours for now. At least he has enough time to drive you to work, which is why the two of you now are parked outside the manor, 10 minutes before your first lesson has to start.
"Don't worry about it. I'll make sure to pick up your car later. I'll have the taxi drive me there."
Jaehyun glanced back at the mansion briefly.
"Are you sure you can get a taxi here though? This is pretty far off the main road…"
Well...to be honest, you weren't even really sure about that yourself but he didn't have to worry about it right now. You nodded and reached over for your bag with a smile.
"Yes. Or I'll just ask Taeyong for help if I can't get one. I'm pretty sure they have some taxi companies in contact."
Jaehyun still didn't look convinced but gave you a small nod nevertheless. His eyes were back to studying the house again which made you chuckle.
"Jae, I'll be fine. You have to go now or you'll be late to your conference. Thanks for driving me here," picking up the last of your things, you leaned over to give him a quick peck on the cheeks. He responded by pulling you over for a slightly longer kiss when you tried to move away.
"Yah, Jung Jaehyun. We'll both be late if you don't stop," you whispered softly with an amused tone. He laughed before finally letting you pull back.
"Just getting my fill of it since I won't see you in three days. Call me once you get home later, okay?"
"Mmn. Take care, too. Go get that deal closed," you gave him a wink before finally opening the passenger seat. You watched as he finally pulled away from the driveway and waited until he disappeared again on the long winding road before turning towards the manor again. You were almost at the front steps when the doors finally opened, spilling Haechan, Renjun, and Jaemin out of them. You frowned slightly as you took notice of the canvases they were carrying as you approached the group.
"Hey...are you going somewhere? Class is about to start." You asked curiously, eyes landing finally on the small leather bag that Renjun was carrying. It seems to be full of art supplies.
"We're doing a free art class today, right noona?" The eldest of the trio asked. You nodded, still a bit confused.
"Renjun suggested we do it in the garden since the weather is nice today," Jaemin finally said. "We think it'll be a nice change from the stuffy rooms inside," he slightly jerked his head back at the wide windows of the manor which are currently shut back with thick curtains. You glanced at them briefly too before nodding slowly in understanding.
"Oh… I mean… It's not a bad idea. We can have the first session outside while the sun is still bearable, I guess."
That made Jaemin, and most especially Renjun smile. The boy can be withdrawn most of the time, but you did notice that he looks happiest whenever you do creative classes.
"Thank you, noona."
"No problem. I'll just put my bag inside and then I'll follow you. Why don't you set up your things first?"
You've taken a couple of steps towards the front door already when Haechan suddenly spoke up.
"Who was with you, noona?"
That froze you on your tracks. Slowly, you turned to face the trio again. They saw Jaehyun drive off?
"Oh, that was my boyfriend. He dropped me off today," you said casually with a smile. Haechan leaned his head a little bit to the side in curiosity.
"But he took your car…"
"Yes, he did. His broke down so he had to borrow mine. He's leaving for a three-day trip so—" you stopped all of a sudden, realizing that you're explaining things too much. There's nothing wrong about what you said but there was still a part of you that made you feel a little...exposed. Jaemin, Haechan, and Renjun, fortunately, didn't seem to notice and continued to politely look at you.
"Anyway, I'll just grab a cab to go home," you continued with a smile. "There are some who stop by here, right?"
"Yes. Or we can just ask Taeyong-hyung to drive you. He is the only one who has a license among us," Jaemin offered with a casual shrug.
"Ah, maybe I'll have to bother him this one time if I can't get a cab," you said with a sheepish smile. "Okay, I do have to bring my things inside. I'll see you."
You have already reached the top of the steps before the double doors when you finally realized something. Quickly you turned to the three boys who were just about to disappear to the side of the house leading to the manicured gardens.
"Wait, where's Jeno?"
It was Jaemin who answered.
"Oh yeah. He can't come. He is on bed rest."
You frowned.
"What happened?"
Haechan snickered which caused Renjun to shoot him a reprimanding look.
"He got into a hunting accident," the boy explained as he barely tried to keep his lips from twitching with amusement. "He was foolish enough to get stabbed in the chest by a stag."
-----
You gave the oak wood door a few light taps before drawing your hand back to yourself. You still weren't sure if this is a good idea, and yet here you are standing outside Jeno's room, the expansive hallway making you feel too small and out of place. This is the first time you've been in this part of the mansion since you only ever roamed the lower floors for your classes, and you couldn't help but feel a little strange at the heaviness of the air clinging around you now.
Maybe it's because it is where the private quarters of the boys are, but the corridor was only slightly illuminated by dimmed lighting from the lamps on the walls. Everything was silent, and for a moment you wondered if you got the wrong door that Taeyong gave directions to when you told him you wanted to check on Jeno. You have already taken a step back and was about to turn away when you heard some rustling from inside the room. It was followed by a voice muffled by the thick wood separating you from the other side of the door.
"Come in."
You froze on your spot for a few seconds before finally managing to shake yourself to open the door before you slowly. Peering around it, the first thing you noticed was how big the room was—it looked more like a smaller section of a house than a private quarters. It was dark, but a quick look at it told you that it was mostly bare if you don't count the essentials, which is a simple desk by the side, a long couch, and, in the middle, a four poster bed.
Your eyes landed on Jeno who was looking at you with equal mild surprise. He was propped against the headboard of his bed, the light from the laptop on his lap illuminating his face. You noticed that he didn't have a shirt on, but most of his skin from the right shoulder down to his chest was covered by bandages.
"Hi," you smiled, suddenly feeling conscious now as you stepped into his room.
"Um. Hi. What are you…"
"I heard that you were injured so I just dropped by to check on you," you quickly answered to diffuse any awkwardness that is in danger of settling between the two of you. Jeno blinked, as if processing what you just said.
"Uh… sorry, I didn't realize that I might be disturbing you. I can also just go back another time and—"
"No," He said all of a sudden before you could excuse yourself. Quickly, he closed his laptop and put it away on his side. "You can stay for a bit."
"Oh...great. I uh…" your eyes roamed around his room once again, hoping to find a chair that is closer to his bed. There was none. You figured the couch was the only place you could go to so you started walking towards it, Jeno's eyes on you.
"You can sit here," he suddenly said and you looked up to see him pointing at the foot of his bed. That made you stop before glancing again at the couch at the farther side of his room, something which he immediately noticed.
"It's too far away. It'll be awkward for us to talk if you sit there,” he said, as if he read your mind.
That...makes sense. With a slight nod, you closed the distance between you and the bed instead and chose to sit by its far end.
Jeno was back to watching you as you settled down, his expression curious. You softly cleared your throat.
"How are you feeling?"
He glanced down his chest briefly. "Oh, I'm fine. It didn't hurt as much during the weekend, but I was still told to stay in bed. I can't really move that much yet."
"What happened anyway?"
He scratched the back of his head almost sheepishly and looked away.
"I was trying to hunt a deer. I didn't know its mate was just around the area when I approached it so...yeah."
You winced as your eyes fell on his bandaged chest. You know next to nothing about hunting, but you know enough that an angry stag doesn't spell good news for anyone. Things could have been more serious for him.
"Are you sure that you shouldn't be in the hospital though?"
"Yes. We have a private doctor anyway. I just need to make sure I don't move too much to keep my wound from opening. And I also hate hospitals so I prefer to stay here…"
"You have to be more careful next time, okay Jeno? The forest is such a dangerous place…" you sighed before shifting your attention towards the window at the far wall of his room. He only had his curtains partially open but you could still see a sliver of the woods from where you sat.
Something about what you said shifted something in him. You missed it entirely thanks to the shadows from the room's dim lighting that masked his features, but it was there, hiding in plain sight.
"You take care of us so well."
You turned to him again as you heard him whisper something.
"What?"
Jeno simply smiled. He leaned back against the headboard, as if mulling over something.
"Since noona is worried about me, can you help me change my bandages?"
You blinked. That wasn't something you expected him to ask at all. Before, you figured Jeno to be one of the more withdrawn among the brothers, always with this air of intimidation about him, but lately, he has been throwing you off with these kinds of moments. He isn't flirty like Jaemin or sly and playful like Haechan, but he’s just so...direct. Almost pushy, sometimes.
"I uhm… I don't know. I wouldn't know how to do it, maybe I can call someone and—"
You watched as he already started to undo the bandages on his torso, your eyes growing wide as he started to expose more skin.
"Jeno wait, I think we should call Taeyong for thi—oh my god."
Your words were cut off when he finally let the last of the bandages fall to reveal the cut on his torso. It started from his right chest, a few inches above the collarbone, and ran sideways to the middle where it cut off. Stitches held the skin together, and you could see the darkening sides of the flesh where it broke.
Yet it wasn't only that which caught your attention. Despite the dimness of the room, you could see other marks in his body, old scars that adorned his pale skin here and there. They varied in length and thickness, and you couldn't figure out what might have caused them. Were they from hunting accidents too…?
You immediately turned to look away. You didn't want to seem rude for staring. Jeno, however, seemed unbothered, if not mildly amused. Watching you through hooded eyes, he let you squirm for a little bit first before finally calling for your attention once more.
"Noona."
"Yes?"
"Help me, please?"
The tone he used on you finally made you turn with a slight wince, which only made him chuckle.
"You're not used to seeing injuries?"
"I'm not fond of them. I don't think anyone is."
“So let's get this over with then. I just need you to hold one side of the bandage for me while I wrap it again. It's hard when I do it alone."
You were about to open your mouth to say something again but chose to purse your lips after in the end. With a soft sigh, you finally picked yourself up from your spot by the foot of the bed to move closer to him. Jeno had already uncapped what looked to be a bottle of antiseptic at this point and had started to dab gently at his cut. You tried to watch without wincing too much as he tried to do the job, but it was probably too painful for him to move too much because he was missing a lot of it.
"Hey, just give me that. I'll do it," you asked as you gently took the cotton pad from him. Jeno wordlessly let you take it, eyes closely watching you as you ducked a little to clean his wound. You tried your best to keep your eyes on target, not allowing them to move anywhere else…
"It looks so bad… I'm surprised you can still move…" you whispered, more to yourself than to him as you frowned over it. You completely missed the way the corners of Jeno's lips ever so slightly tilted as your fingers brushed against his skin.
"Your fiance must have never gotten injured before, noona."
Your hand froze at what he said. Slowly, you looked up at him, only to see him smile at you.
"How did you…"
"Oh, Taeyong-hyung told us. He just reminded us to be nice to you or else you might quit. He said you are saving up for your wedding."
You didn't say anything at first after his explanation. There's nothing wrong about it, and it seems very in-character for Taeyong to say that since he seems to be the most worried about the possibility of you quitting. Still, you couldn't help the odd feeling that tugged at your chest, one you tried to shove back as you turned your attention again to what you were doing just so you could escape Jeno's gaze.
"Well… yes. I am saving up for it. But I also enjoy my time here… so far…"
Jeno smiled to himself as he looked down on you, eyes watching your every move.
"We'll behave too, we promise," he said softly that you almost didn't catch it.
"Until then, I'm sure your boyfriend wouldn't mind us borrowing you from him."
----
"Jisung! Chenle! Don't run too far into the forest, okay?" Taeyong called out to the two boys who have already turned on their tails and have started running towards the woods. You watched as the two laughed and pushed at each other playfully before finally disappearing into the forest edge.
Taeyong sighed beside you and let the hands he had on his hips fall to his sides. You turned to him and he gave you an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry for suddenly asking you to watch over them. I totally forgot that I had to drive the rest to their dentist appointment today," he said with a scratch of his head. You simply shook a hand at him to wave him off.
"Don't worry about it. I don't have any other classes today anyway so I'll just wait here for them. But... uh... are you sure that it is safe for them to play there?"
"Yes. As long as they stay in the right zones. There are parts there where some wild animals might roam around this season but Jisung and Chenle already know that, don't worry. It won't be the first time they'll be going there too. They've been playing there since they were kids."
You nodded slowly, still a little bit unsure as your gaze floated over to the woods once more. If it were you, you wouldn't let them go near it, especially after what happened to Jeno.
"I'll have to go then. I promise I'll be back by 5. Then I can drive you back to town after."
You turned to look at Taeyong once more and gave him a grateful smile. You usually would have declined the offer under normal circumstances, but you honestly think it will be easier and safer for you to just have him take you back later.
"Thank you. I appreciate that."
The other nodded before giving you one last smile. Turning around, you watched him go to the car where Haechan, Renjun, and Jaemin were already waiting. Jeno was still in bed rest, so he is skipping the impromptu trip this time.
You only turned back to look at the woods ahead when you finally saw the black sedan disappear down the road. The forest looked foreboding in front of you, one look at it and you know there is no way you'll venture there in your own free will. With a sigh, you picked up the book you've brought with you and let yourself take a seat by the grass as you wait for Jisung and Chenle to return.
A sudden sharp caw that tore the air made you look up in surprise from the current chapter you were reading. You didn't have any idea how much time had already passed after you lost yourself in your book, but you were surprised to see that the sky had gone red over the horizon as a flock of crows soared from the depths of the forest. You watched as they circled just above the trees before finally disappearing far into the sky. That was when you realized it; it's been a while since Jisung and Chenle left.
With panic slowly creeping into your chest, you glanced at your watch then back at the mansion behind you. Taeyong didn't say anything about a curfew for the two kids, but your own sense told you that the pair should be back before night falls. Your gut told you that you should start looking for them, but the problem is that there is still more than half an hour left before Taeyong said they will return and the only other person left in the manor was Jeno—who can't even get out of bed.
You swallowed. Before you could make any decision, however, a bone-chilling sound floated into the air that made your blood turn cold. It was faint at first, making you wonder if it was just your imagination playing tricks on you, but then it called out again, and you felt your heart drop to your stomach.
It was Chenle. Screaming.
You broke into a run without a second thought.
It took you everything you have not to topple over the uneven forest floor as you wove through the trees. You have no idea where you were going, your mind and vision reeling as you tried to follow the voice. Your skirt have caught countless times on shrubberies and wayward tree barks as you tore through the woods but you kept going, not minding the tears on the fabric and the skin of your legs.
"Chenle! Jisung! Where are you!"
You called out desperately when the cries suddenly stopped. You were only barely aware of your heart thundering in your chest and your lungs burning from overexertion.
No. No. Don't stop screaming. I can't find you if you do.
"Chenle! Jisung!" You called out again desperately as you stopped at the edge of what seemed to be a small patch of land that dropped off to a ravine. The trees beyond were denser than the ones at the edge of the forest and the already fading light of the day wasn't helping the thick canopies above you that rained shadows on where you stood. You looked around and swallowed thickly. Something inside of you told you to turn around and run again but you stayed frozen on your spot, waiting for any sound from the kids.
It took you a few more heartbeats to pick up something again. Jisung's voice sounded far off to your right, maybe about 15 meters from where you currently are.
"Noona! Help! Chenle fell down!"
Your adrenaline jumped into action again.
"Jisung?! Jisung! Wait—Is Chenle with you?” A soft voice called out and you breathed in as you recognized the latter's tone. “I'm coming! Don't stop calling for me, okay, so I can find you!"
You were about to turn away from the edge of the steep ravine you were still standing on when you felt your back hit something hard. Before you could even turn around to look at it, however, a blunt force hitting the middle of your shoulder blades sent you toppling forward, straight into the sharp fall beyond.
You screamed, before everything went quiet as your head hit the bedrock below.

you groan and get off your car, slamming the door. it’s been two weeks since you started racing against the famous ‘jwi’ and you still haven’t won. you are frustrated and doyoung is upset and desperate.
how come no one hasn’t beat the guy? maybe he’s too good. and maybe you’re not that good.
the streets are saying who the famous ‘jwi’ might be and they are betting on some people you know they’re not capable of doing what he does.
as the finish line begins to empty, you see doyoung staring at you. you know what he’s thinking: ways of murdering you and chopping your body so he can feed his dogs. he takes his middle finger to his thumb, snapping them. you sigh and approach him. “what?”
“i still haven't seen results,” he cocks an eyebrow. “it seems you’re not as good as they say.”
“then fire me.” you spit back.
“i could,” he nods. “but i’m way too invested in this, so you’re gonna finish what you have to do.”
“okay, then give me more t-”
“no more time, y/n. next race, if you don’t win tell your brother to dig a hole next your beloved yuta,” he mocks.
you clench your fists. “fuck you.”
“gladly.”
when doyoung is gone, you return to your car and sit there for a couple of minutes. you don’t want to go home. johnny will bomb you with questions and the last thing you need is him giving you a lecture. you turn on the car and start driving to mark’s place in glendale. you excuse it by saying is the closest place to your location.
when you arrive at his building, you park your car behind mark’s and get off it. you see a girl leaving the building and you hurry so the door won’t lock. you get into the elevator and press the 3 button. as the door opens, you make your way through the hallway until you’re in front of mark’s door. you slightly knock twice.
you hear footsteps approaching the door and you quickly fix your hair. the door opens, showing a red haired wearing a big shirt. mark’s shirt. it’s the same red haired he was flirting with weeks ago.
“can i help you?” the red haired aks.
“sorry. i got the wrong door,” you murmur and turn on your heels.
“so you were not looking for mark?” the red haired leans against the doorframe.
you frown as you turn to face her. “you know me?”
“how will i not know the whore my boyfriend is banging?” she cocks an eyebrow.
boyfriend?
you giggle, nervously. “i got the wrong door.”
and you leave. as you leave the building, you feel your eyes tearing up. why are you crying? men do that all the time. they get you and play with you until they’re done and ready to get someone else.
fucking stupid mark.
you feel so fooled and you can’t believe mark played with you all this time. you want to cry, and you don’t know if it’s because your heart aches or you’re just angry at him.
mark gets out of the bathroom, drying his new dyed hair. “who was it?” he asks.
“they got the wrong door,” yves shrugs.
mark nods. “thanks for dying my hair, yves. and sorry for ruining your clothes.”
she smirks. “it’s okay. i look sexier like this anyway.”
mark frowns. “when did you take off your jeans?”
“a minute ago,” she walks to mark and wrap her arms around his waist. “i was thinking of having fun tonight.”
mark yanks himself free and shakes his head. “not today. at least with me, not anymore.”
yves knits her eyebrows together. “why not?”
“because… i just don’t want to.” mark puts a hoodie on.
“is it because of that whore, right?”
mark’s eyes darts to her. “don’t call her like that, yves.”
“why not?” she rests her hands on her waist. “she’s a whore.”
mark clenches his jaw. “get the fuck out of my apartment.”
“what?” yves stares at him. “you’re gonna put her over me? are you fucking insane?”
“yes, yves.” mark throws her her jeans. “leave.”
“you’re gonna regret this.” she groans as she puts her jeans on. “i’m way much better than her and you know it.”
“whatever you say.” mark opens the door for her.
yves grabs her purse and walks to the door. she stands in front of mark. “you’re wasting your time if you think she’s gonna like you back. she’s too busy thinking of his dead boyfriend.”
(...)
when you arrive home you groan. johnny is throwing a party. again. but maybe some buzz will help you tonight. you enter your house and make your way through the crowded living room. you need a drink. a strong one. or maybe something else.
you spot taeyong walking to the bathroom and hurry walking to him. when you finally approach him, you take his hand and he looks at you. he knows what you want and he can give it to you. but instead of getting into the bathroom, you take him to your bedroom upstairs.
“what are you trying to do to me?,” taeyong jokes, the whiskey in his system.
once you’re inside your bedroom, his hand reches playfully snatching the bags out of his pocket and examining them a bit. you look up and smile. “sharing is caring.”
taeyong smirks. “what will i get in exchange?”
you shrug. “i’ll think about it.”
taeyong sees how you sniffle, and then your shoulders twitch forward in a stifled giggle. “oh man. that shit’s strong.”
“just the best.” taeyong smiles and he’s the nex to sniffle a line.
you realise you’re starting to feel hot. so you start to strip your clothes and are standing in your underwear and when you realise taeyong’s eyes are on you. coke has never made you hard before, but tonight it is. maybe is because you want to get revenge.
“should i leave?” taeyong asks, his eyes still on your body.
“no.”
“okay.”
you get close to him and take his neck from the back and kiss him. taeyong’s hand rest on your waist, pulling you closer to him. one warm hand finds your jaw and holds you steady as taeyong and sticks his tongue inside your mouth. his fingers urging you to open your mouth. you do so and now your tongues are swirling together.
taeyong breaks the kiss and you bite his tongue when he drags it out your mouth. “this is wrong.” he mutters.
“i don’t care.”
you kiss him again, slipping your tongue into his mouth. taeyong groans and pulls away. "yuta was my best friend."
"yuta is dead!" you growl, clenching your jaw.
taeyong is looking at you and you shake your head. "just... leave."
"y/n..." taeyong tries to approach you but you wave him off.
"we'll talk tomorrow," you say.
taeyong leaves your bedroom and you groan when he shuts the door. why are you so mad? clearly not with taeyong but with mark. and yourself.
yourself mostly. why do you even care if mark is fooling around with some other chicks? it’s not like he’s your boyfriend or anything, and you haven’t discussed being exclusive. then why do you feel betrayed?
“fuck it. fuck you, mark lee,” you mumble.
you put your clothes back on and join the people in the party. you’d find someone to fuck eventually. and you do.
jaehyun spots you sexily dancing alone, holding a red cup with your right hand. he knows you're high, because you wouldn't be dancing alone in front of other people. and he's high too.
he approaches you and takes you by your hips. "where have you been?"
"everywhere," you reply.
jaehyun smirks and grips at your hips. "i like your skirt, you look hot."
jaehyun and you constantly flirt, everyone knows it. but never in a million years you think the thought of him fucking you would cross your mind. and to be honest, it doesn't sound bad at all.
you turn and wrap your arms around his neck. "would you like it to take it off?" you stare at his lips. "I'm not wearing any panties."
jaehyun grins and nips at your lip. "i will take it off with one condition."
"what?"
"let's make a threesome."
the cocaine is making the men's talk even more grating. you don't care about anything they're saying. you only care that they’re good looking enough for a casual threesome, and you are already planning out the sexual acts that will keep their mouths occupied and make them shut the fuck up.
jaehyun invites his good friend jaemin. you don't remember much but arriving to jaehyun's place, drinking and doing more coke before the action began.
and you can tell it was nice fuck since you could barely move the next morning. and then the flashbacks: jaehyun taking you from the back and you sucking jaemin's dick.
oh my god.
you try to be as much silent as you can be when you get home, hoping johnny is stil sleeping and jisung didn’t even see you leave the party with two men. as you’re taking the stairs, a loud noise makes you turn. it’s johnny holding a cup of coffee. you curse yourself internally.
“brother!” you smile at him. “good morning. did you do something to your hair? it looks really good today.”
johnny doesn’t even blink and you know he’s mad. you sigh. “are you upset at me?”
johnny presses his lips together. “are you an addict?”
“what?!” you laugh. “no! what the fuck is wrong with you?”
“then why in the fucking hell you keep sniffling that shit, y/n?” he starts climbing the stairs. “you wanna die? you wanna od like your mother did?”
you stare at him. “you don’t have to bring her up. i like having fun, what’s wrong with that?”
“what’s wrong with that?” he mimics your tone. “everything! are you stupid? you left the party with two men!”
“if you are going to slut sham-”
“i don’t care who you fuck, i’ve told you that,” johnny clenches his jaw. “you can fuck as many guys and many girls you want, but you don’t leave a party with two men, especually with men you don’t know. what if they killed you or something?!”
you rub your forehead. “i did know them… sort of, just one guy.”
johnny groans. “if i hear you do coke again, i swear to god y/n that i will take you to a rehab center by myself, do you hear me?”
you squint your eyes. “i am not an addict.”
“then fucking prove it,” johnny glances at you.
the next night, you run into mark when you’re leaving your house to meet with doyoung. he has a different hair color and you want to slap yourself for wanting to throw yourself at him. he looks so good.
“hey,” hey smiles at you. “where have you been? i’ve called you all day.”
“i was… busy,” you shrug, without making eye contact.
mark nods and wraps an arm around your waist, you push him away. mark frowns. “what’s wrong?”
“i don’t want your girlfriend to get upset.”
“my girlfriend?” he looks at you. “i don’t have a girlfriend. i told you.”
“that's not what it looks like,” your murmur, staring at your nails. “she seemed very comfortable wearing that white shirt you like.”
mark keeps frowning and then he gets it. he giggles and that makes you groan. “i’m sorry, i just… you knocked on my door yesterday, didnt you?”
you nod and he sighs. he holds you hands, tugging you towards him making you wrap your arms around his waist. “yves is not my girlfriend and i wasn’t doing anything with her.”
“i don’t believe you.” you say as you try to pull away. he doesn't let you.
with his one hand free, he cups your cheek. “he dyed my hair and her shirt got stained so i gave her the first one i saw.”
“she was in her panties,” you mumble.
mark nods. “yes, she was. but still, i didn’t fuck with her that night. i haven’t since i started fucking you.”
you squint your eyes. “really?”
“okay, maybe the night after we fucked for the first time, but nothing since then,” he gives you a peck.
you hum and when mark’s lips reaches to your neck, he pulls away when he sports a hickey. “i didn’t do that.”
“i know.”
“who did it?”
you shrug. “not sure.”
mark frowns, looking at you. “what do you mean?”
“two guys were with me last night, i wouldn’t know who di-” mark shuts you by kissing you, crashing his lips violently against yours.
he cups your face with his hands and starts walking backwards where your car is parked. he pushes you against the door without breaking the kiss. he grinds himself on your and you moan. “i will have to fuck the shit out of you now,” he bites your lip pulling it. “until you can’t take it anymore and cry.”
“do it,” you dare him. “let’s see if i have a good time with you as well.”
mark groans and presses his hips against yours. “you’re mine, y/n.”
“i don’t belong to anyone.”
“yes, you do.” mark kisses you. “you’re mine.”
johnny’s whistle interrupt you two and mark sighs. “tonight. my place.”
“i might go.”
“you better be there.” mark warns you.
you smile sideways and see mark and johnny getting inside your house. you get into your car and start driving to doyoung’s secret location. just when you’re about to take the freeway, you realise you’ve forgotten your phone. you sigh and make a u turn to go back and get it.
you park on the sidewalk and get off your car. you take your keys out and unlock the door entering your house and go to your bedroom when your phone is charging. you unplug it and as you’re about to leave your house, a known voice calls you.
“y/n?”
you turn and freeze when you see who’s standing in front of you.

Just Friends (Jeno x you, Chenle)
a/nn : hey there, the ending looks rushed but its coz i wanna try and keep my promise of posting a story this week. I know it's super bad but I am trying to pick my writing nerves back. Pardon me for all stupid scenes but I am trying.. feels like i am back to learning crawling and walking.. but here it is!
warning: friend zone
characters : jeno, jaemin, renjun, chenle
He was always there when you needed him. No matter how sunny or windy it is outside, Jeno always finds his way to come and sit by your side. It’s amazing and wonderful how he always manages to ditch his works for you.
“I’m bored,” you send the short message to Jeno, your best friend. Usually it doesn’t take long before his message will come in with a reply like “Should I come over?” but not today. Lately, he has been acting differently. He doesn’t text you as often and he seems busy. You didn’t fuss over it at first. Thinking that finally Jeno is giving himself some time and is able to do stuff he wanted to do.
You waited for his text but nothing came in, you wanted to call but you’re afraid if he’s still sleeping. After all this is a Sunday morning, he might have played games too much last night and slept early in the morning.
“Were you guys playing last night?” you send another short message to his gaming friend, Taeyong.
Taeyong replied to you quickly “We did, but Jeno wasn’t playing with us. What’s the matter?” Taeyong doesn’t even need you to mention you’re looking for Jeno’s whereabouts.
“Oh, well I am not asking about Jeno, what makes you mention his name.”
Taeyong only replies with a laughing emoji and a “Everyone knows both of you are always together. He always mutes his mic whenever you call.”
You blush at that, something cool about him is that whenever you called to talk about some of your feelings, he could always pick your call up. Although you know he keeps on playing, at least he mutes the mic and he’s listening to you and you feel less lonely.
But you wonder if Jeno is just doing all of this because he is your bestfriend or he likes you. No bestfriend acts this far! They’ll reject your call instead.
Your brother has repeatedly remind you that you shouldn’t fall for his sweet charms. You always deny him and said you are just seeing Jenoa as your friend, but why does it feel different now whenever he picks your call or stops his game for you. He used to do that, but only now did you feel it as something special.
You finally decided to call him since its almost lunch time and he hasn’t replied your text.
You reach his voicemail and that’s something new.
“I’m coming over to your house. Is everything okay?” you send it and quickly dress up.
There’s just something unsettling in your heart to not get any news at all from Jeno.
You arrive at his apartment door right on time when his roommate, Renjun, is entering the building.
“Renjun ah!” you yell and the boy luckily hears you and holds the door open for you. You need access to get into the building, good thing Renjun is here.
“Oh (y/n), what are you doing?”
“Going to check on Jeno.”
“Oh when I left for the market earlier, he’s still asleep.”
You just nod and follow him to the unit. When both of you step in, you don’t see any signs of Jeno at all. So, you knock on his door and push it open only to find its locked.
“Hm weird, he locked the room.” you mutter.
Renjun saw you still in front of the room and asked “Oh it's locked? He never locks his door.” Renjun tries pushing the door but to no avail it's not swinging open.
“It’s okay, I’ll wait.” you knock on the door and finally hear a reply.
Jeno finally appears behind the locked door. His messy hair is still there and he lets you into the room.
“Hey, is everything good?” you ask after sitting on his bed and Jeno grabs a fresh pair of sweaters. He was just in his tank earlier.
He nods, his eyes still closed.
“Were you drinking?” you push his hair away when he leans to your shoulder.
He nods “I’m sorry I forgot to tell you but it was an all guys night.”
You nod “It’s okay, I was never mad you didn’t bring me. I don’t like parties that much after all.”
“My head hurts.” he whines.
You chuckle “Forgot to drink water right?” you push him your water bottle and he chugs it down.
“Have you eaten lunch?” he asks after gaining his soul completely
“Not yet, you want to eat somewhere?”
He stands up and picks his phone, fiddles with it for a while before finally answering “I have something to do tonight. Is it okay if we just eat somewhere nearby?”
Your brow raised in surprise, Jeno has never been this weird. He used to have his own events but he will definitely tell you what it is and not just vague news. But you don’t want to meddle too much with his schedule, so you just stand up and leave him to change.
“Oh hey Jaemin.” you greet the third roommate that lives with Jeno. He too, seems to just wake up from his wild night.
“Where are you from?” you ask the messy looking boy. Well his shirt is super messy.
He just smiles lazily and rubs his hair away “A stranger’s house. Was too drunk to remember.”
You just scoff “Getting laid again?”
The jock just smiles and washes his face with cold water. “Jeno has great self control.”
You just nod. Though Jeno said the party was all guys, you know there’s still chances of the guys bringing girls over and Jaemin is just one of the popular jocks here.
“You should come and join us next time. The drinks are amazing.” he shakes his head after washing his face.
You laugh “You know I don’t like parties, I’d rather watch movies with Renjun.” you plop yourself down on the sofa, admiring Renjun’s busy hands chopping onions as he prepares his lunch.
“Fine, but don’t be jealous if Jeno finds his lover.” Jaemin teases you. You’re used to the guys teasing you that if you don’t claim Jeno soon, he will get a girlfriend eventually and you will be pushed away. You used to think that Jeno won’t push you away if he gets a girl, but now you start to worry what if the girl wants Jeno to stay away from you? Now that is not Jeno’s fault but you will get hurt right?
“Kidding, don’t kill me. Jeno will be mad if he knows I tease you like this.” Jaemin gives you a quick side hug and you just roll your eyes.
“Come (y/n), let’s go.” Jeno appears with a fresh face, looks like he showered quickly before going with you.
“So, what did you do last night?” Jeno asks you when the two of you are already in his car and he’s driving downtown.
“Just in my room, checking on my blog and watching films. Not much fun, but I enjoy that.”
Jeno smiles “Sorry, I will accompany you next time.”
You shake your head “Why are you weird? It’s okay. I never force you to hang out with me because I know you don’t like to watch films.”
Jeno tosses a glance on you “But still, you’re lonely. Your friends are away on their vacation.”
You punch him “What’s wrong! This is so not you.”
He just smirks “Fine, you seem bored to have me around. I’ll go away so you miss me.”
You thought he was joking, so you play along. “Okay then, let’s see who misses who first.”
--
You stare at your phone and blink several times after seeing a text from Jeno saying that he couldn’t accompany you to the market because his girl wants him to accompany her shopping.
You were shocked at the news that he has a girlfriend and he didn’t tell you. And you’re surprised because Jeno never wanted to accompany you shopping, what makes him want to do that for his girl?
Now you understand why the other boys tease you, indeed it's you who is losing if Jeno gets a girl. Even if you get a boy, Jeno won’t bother too much because now you realize you are the one who loves him as someone more than friends, and to Jeno you are just his other best friend.
You grab your phone and begin dialing a number you remember by heart.
After five beeps the sweet voice on the other side greets you “Hello (y/n)! What’s the matter?”
You pull your phone away from your ear, the loud noise coming from the phone was pretty loud for eleven in the morning.
“You’re partying this early? Jaemin, it's not healthy.” you groan but the other guy only laughs “We’re not partying hard yet. Where are you now?”
You smile “Home, why?”
“Not doing anything?” he questions as he takes a look around his surroundings. No Jeno in sight
“Nope. I’m just in my house alone, why?” Jaemin’s breath hitches and he gulps “Oh that’s weird, Jeno is also not here.”
“Where are you at?” your curiosity peaks and the sweet guy replies “Go change, I am having a summer pool party at Jaehyun’s house. Come join us, we’re having barbecues and some afternoon fun and games. Renjun will pick you up in thirty minutes.”
You take a look at Jeno’s text and finally decide that you should just go have fun in the sun.
“Okay, just wait Renjun.Take care and see you!”
You glance at your phone one last time, still no text from Jeno at all. Maybe this is it, the sign and time to finally let go of the “more than friends” feeling that you have on your bestie.
After donning your summer dress and taking a piece of swimsuit, you put your sunglasses on while taking the stairs down to meet Renjun.
“Hello there hottie,” Renjun chuckles when you already sit down nicely beside him.
You roll your eyes “What? I’m here to have fun.” you snicker and Renjun just shakes his head before finally accelerating to Jaehyun's house.
The host greets you nicely and Jaemin greets you to a bone crushing hug. You just hug him back before checking around to see who is here. Some of the guys here are familiar but some of them are also strangers to you.
“Do you know everyone here?” you nudge Jaemin’s elbow and the guy nods while sipping from his red solo cup “Everyone’s my friend here. What? You have an eye on someone already? I thought you’re loyal to Jeno.”
You scoff and hit his back “Shut up. We’re only friends and he got a girl. Now I want to make more friends, who is that guy?” your eyes focus on the young lad who has a black shades on, his fluffy brown hair just flying with the wind and suddenly you know Renjun is talking to him and he bursts into a super loud high pitch laugh. Interesting.
“Oh, that is a student from China, his name is Chenle, come I can introduce you to him.”
Before you can shake your head, Jaemin already drags you to the guy and they seem close because the next thing you know Jaemin is already introducing you to the cute guy.
“I’m Chenle, nice to meet you.” he extends his arm and you grab his palm, shaking it “(y/n), pleased to meet you too. So, can I get to know you better?” you wink and make the guy in front of you smirk.
Behind Chenle you can see Jaemin and Renjun stifling a laugh. The two guys wink back at you and leave you alone with Chenle.
Deep inside your heart you know why Jaemin and Renjun sent you that wink. They know you are moving on to the hot stuff in your sight and slowly forget about the unrequited love you have for your best friend.
After all, the myth is 90% right. When a guy and a girl become good friends, one of them will fall in love and still the best way to keep the friendship going is to keep being just friends.
So, maybe this Chenle sweetheart will be your boyfriend, or maybe someone else. Whichever that is, you have to let Jeno go to his significant others.
end or maybe there will be a part where you get to know Chenle and Jeno is jealous

in light of mark venturing out into his own solo song here’s my ranking on nct’s rappers bc why not:
mark: without a doubt the best one and from an objective standpoint too. he sounds like an american-adjacent rapper which is par for the cause. you can hear this is what he grew up listening to. he has organic musicality and great feeling for rhythm, even when his raps derail a bit sometimes. most of the time he manages to fix the weaker parts of nct songs with his rapping. tho his raps sound better when he writes them, which isn’t surprising. and to me the fact that he adlibs most of nct’s songs speak in favor of him as a rapper and musician.  fave parts: mad city, new axis, know now, gimme gimme
yangyang: imo nct’s best rapper easily and the one with the most potential while already being pretty skilled (for an idol rapper anyway). his rap flow is reminiscent of non-english speaking rapping, which isn’t surprising as opposed to mark he spent his formative years surrounded by german rap beginning its epic climb to a mainstream pop genre. he can switch flows fluidly and stays on beat and he can do a double time that is easy to follow. sounds least like an idol rapper. fave parts: new axis, only human, round&round, leonidas, lightbulb (cover of taeyeong’s part)
taeyong: who else? obviously nct doesn’t have many skilled rappers and no, sub vocalists with spoken word parts aren’t rappers. taeyong seems to split the masses and it’s no different with me. he has his hits and his misses, but he does have a unique voice and enunciation as well. sometimes he sounds like he is walking behind the beat while he raps, but at least he can switch flows. and a double time, if both of us ask the higher powers to look out for him. i liked his earlier stuff more than what he currently does, which is solely based on my preferences for his voice modulation as well as the sub-genres nct put him into. and he did hold zoo together by the seams of his pants tho, god bless. fave parts: baby don’t like it, mad city, limitless
hendery: he raps like an idol rapper. not too awful on the spoken-word parts tbh but he is definitely no standout to me. but the nct roadmap says he is a rapper so what can you do. i didn’t hate him in zoo and he was fun to listen to in miracle. i have no thoughts on this man whatsoever. he is deffo no standout rapper to me. he does his solid 9 to 5 and what he’s told to do in the booth and i am 👍 about that tho. good 4 him.
yuta & jeno: vocalist that can’t sing operatic scales does not make a rapper automatically @ sm. out of the two of them i do prefer yuta’s voice and i think there’s a lot of room for him to work with and on it. would i call him a rapper tho? no. but when the nct 127′s need someone to start a spoken-word part in a bridge, he will be there and by god he will do it. on to jeno, apparently this man raps. i didn’t know this because i do not listen to nct dream regularly and couldn’t place his voice in nct u songs. tho his voice works for a rapper as well as for the parts he gets and he’s pleasing to listen to! but once more a spoken-word assignment does not make a rapper. it does make an idol rapper tho so both of them are completely fine among those. nothing 2 write home about.
are there more? i don’t think there are more. johnny is a podcast guest, not a rapper.

covering taeyong’s parts
I am HEATED.
tldr: i don’t usually do stuff like this but i’m highly caffeinated and have nothing better to do so prepare for a (very convoluted and long) rant cause omg im so fucking mad.
so for those of you who don’t know, nct 2020 had a resonance vlive/concert last night (dec 26/27) and taeyong and jisung were unable to perform due to a back injury (herniated disk) and knee injury respectively.
I’ll mainly be talking about taeyong in this just due to his extrEmely large presence within NCT and also jisung was there to vocally cover his parts.
(also not to take anything away from jisung, however in the sheer amount of screentime and tracks ty is in, him missing is much harder to disguise within a performance with or without vocals)
in order these are the members that covered ty’s parts in each song (tbh i may be forgetting some, but the point is look at how hard they had to work to even fill ty’s dance position within the concert, the boy is in like 50% of their performed tracks)
nct u - boss - sungchan
nct u - the 7th sense - shotaro
nct u - light bulb - yangyang
nct 127 - touch - haechan (first part), johnny (iconic ty and mork), yuta (pulls up in the chorus to fill in ty part to the stage right of jh)
nct u - make a wish - jeno (first part), jaemin (basically rest of the song)
nct 127 - kick it - mark (usually the center parts), jaehyun (first rap), yuta (end dance break), johnny (mark stepped on him rip lol)
nct u - misfit - johnny (start), sungchan (end)
nct 2020 - resonance - jeno / jaemin (?) - dude idk im having trouble keeping up at this point
// I want to make it very clear that NCT would not be where it is without taeyong. I’m not suggesting that he is replaceable in any way, shape or form. however as a person with two parents in the performance industry - and im sure that many of u understand just from general life experience -- the show mUst go on. when you have a presence as large as ty missing, it is undoubtedly going to take a toll on the overall energy and performance but i personally think that the boys fucking killed it -- especially with such a short turnaround from learning that ty would not be performing. (jaemin said that jeno legit had one HOUR to practice the beginning of maw (and by proxy the beginning of resonance) and that amount of talent and skill is unfuckingbelievable) but I digress.
// there is nothing wrong with being disappointed that taeyong cannot perform. (get well soon ty!) he is an incredible performer and human being. there is nothing wrong with seeing (and understanding) that another member filling ty’s part is going to FEEL different, even if they do a phenomenal job. there is nothing wrong with feeling the difference in energy and performance -- there is obviously ANOTHER PERSON doing the part that we are accustomed to. there is nothing wrong with having a conversation and discourse about the performance. however... there IS something wrong with putting down members and harshly criticizing their performance in a malicious way. constructive criticism is one thing, but a lot (not all but an overwhelming amount) of what I have seen in the comments and the little bit of twitter i have been on has just been bashing members (one in particular) about their performance.
//
// let me get the easy part out of the way here. jaemin and jeno killed it during maw. yuta’s dance break, mark’s center time, jaehyun covering ty’s rap, and johnny stepping up to get stepped on (hehe i’ll stop now don’t mind me) were all surprisingly refreshing. yangyang covering lightbulb was (imo) one of highlights of the concert. for a rapper who often doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves he did a PHENOMENAL job covering the entirety of ty’s parts in his own way and conveying his emotions. yes, the members weren’t the same as taeyong, however, they added their own twist and their own personalities to it. it is in fact BETTER to do this and be remembered for their own style than attempt to emulate someone else’s performance. it is the sign of a great artist to take something and make it your own.
// now, onto the two newest members. i will be candid about this. the biggest difference I felt within the performance was when sungchan and shotaro were covering ty’s parts. tbh this is to be expected (?). i’m not trying to put down the boys but the reality is that they debuted 2-3 MONTHS ago? all of the other members covering ty’s parts have had significantly more experience in every aspect of performing. jaemin and jeno may be about the same age as chan and shotaro but they have upwards of 4 years more experience (debuted anyway, and anyone can tell u that practicing vs the real thing can be a very daunting change) than the other two. the other members have performed in front of a live crowd, they have had time to deal with criticism and learn from it. they are just in every way more experienced, and although we expect great things out of all the members, it is simply unrealistic to expect the same level of performance out of members with 2 years less experience than anyone else on the stage.
aneway...
shotaro covered one of the hardest parts in nct history - taeyong’s 7th sense. in every way - the rap, the technicality of the dance, the sheer charisma ty brings - this was a daunting task. him being a rookie DID show in the performance. this isn’t a bad thing. the tone of his rap did sometimes lack nuance and the level of sophistication that we know taeyong to have. however, i do think shotaro was the right choice for this song. you have to give rookies experience for them to grow, and a concert like this (even without a live crowd) is a great time to do it. (i’ll get into logistics later but bear with me)
the sad reality is that we’re probably not going to have large in person concerts for at least the next year and it will be a long time til travel, concerts, and simply life return to what they were before covid. it will be a very long til the boys get to perform on a stage with the energy of a crowd in the same way they have up til now.
now sungchan. my poor bb sungchan :(
sungchan covered ty’s part is boss (and a little bit in misfit but johnny covered the first part and its more of a hype rap song than one with designated dance moves and centre parts). the dance (in boss) may not be the most technical but this is an unfORGETTABLE song when it comes to taeyong’s part. the beginning “nct leggo?” *chefs kiss*. from what i’ve seen sungchan is the one receiving  the most criticism (read hate) about his performance. look, i’m not going to argue that out of all the members who filled ty’s part he was the weakest. (im not trying to hate, but imo his performance was the weakest, u can disagree with me). he definitely less comfortable with covering taeyong’s part than anyone else was - including shotaro. i think most of the criticism is coming from the fact that he just looked anxious and unable to throw himself into the choreo and when comparing him to taeyong (who again just -- idk he’s unexplainable) his performance does fall a little flat. imo the rap was okay, his tone is actually somewhat similar to ty. i really think that most of the hate is stemming from the execution of the choreo rather than the rap. HOWEVER... calling him “stiff as a board” and commenting “cap” emojis does absolutely nothing except spread unnecessary hate. sungchans position is NOT as a dancer. he is only listed as a rapper. shotaro, however, is listed as both a dancer and a rapper. not to say that these listings are the end all be all of a member’s position, but because they are so new they are a decent representation of what SM thought their strengths were. we would love our idols to be aces at everything, but they are human and humans have their strengths and weaknesses. compared to taeyong, and also shotaro, sungchan does not have the technical ability nor the confidence while dancing. I’d like to believe that anyone who analyzes their performances and takes an objective view can understand where i am coming from.
tldr: you are placing unrealistic expectations on a rookie who’s main position is NOT main dancer. you are asking him to fill the shoes of arguably one of the most charismatic and talented rappers, leaders, and centers of 4th gen kpop... as a ROOKIE. his performance is most likely going to show cracks of being relatively new to the stage. its okay to acknowledge that, but don’t be fucking rude when discussing his performance.
// the amount of posts i’ve seen calling sungchan “untalented” “stiff as a board” just im so fucking over it. yes, his performance had its weaknesses but name-calling and just straight up hate does nothing to help a performer and just ruins everyone’s mental. you can bet your ass that every single one of these boys has worked their ass off, given up unimaginable things, and faced challenges to get where they are today. not to mention that (in particular the case of sungchan and shotaro) these boys are young. the other youngest/newest members have had about 2 years (yangyang, xiaojun, hendery) to become accustomed to the criticism and also hatred that comes with being in the spotlight. sungchan is less than a MONTH older than me. shotaro is just a year older than me. my best friend is legit older than both of these boys. idk your age but think about yourself at their age, or where u think you’ll be at their age. they have accomplished SO much and are so young. they’re 19 and 20 and in an internationally recognized band. we know that a lot of these boys (and idols) do read our comments. i don’t care how much media training you’ve received, how strong your mental is, getting called untalented and being hated on is going to take a toll on your mental. along with that, what is the NEED? to spread hate? to show that “huhu, im such a big deal that all these people are responding to me”. like, legit wtf do u gain from this?
// when you are a performer you do open yourself up to criticism, it is part of the job. but criticism and hate are two very different things. to get where nct is today, every single member has to be humble enough to accept guidance AND constructive criticism. we all know how much the boys value nctizens opinions and take them into account when performing. when you are a performer like that you also have to criticize your own work. no matter what profession you are in, no matter what you do, you analyze ur own work and attempt to make it better. i can all but assure u that shotaro and sungchan (and all the boys) know their strengths and weaknesses, know when a specific move, performance, or other area of their ability is not up to par (or they just want to improve which is imperative to success in the music industry)
just be a decent human being. put urself in all of the boy’s shoes and think “hmm how would i feel if some stranger on the internet said this about me” before you make hateful statements.
again, there is nothing wrong with having a discussion and understanding that humans have strengths and weaknesses, but don’t just put someone down because u feel like it.
//
in case you aren’t convinced to be a decent person, have a more logical (?) approach -- not that u should have to shown a dissertation to be a decent human but i digress.
(think about how many other songs the rest of rap line has to perform, logistically, who else are you going have cover the entierty of boss and 7th sense.)
rap line is: taeyong, mark, lucas, hendery, jeno, jaemin, yangyang, shotaro, sungchan, and jisung (?).
everyone except lucas and hendery (and jisung but bb was injured :( ) covered ty’s part in some aspect. in fact, people not in the friggin rap line helped cover some of ty’s rap (johnny, jaehyun, haechan im looking at you) and other members covered dancing and center parts when they were asked to.
mark is in just as many tracks as ty and was RUNNING around to get to the next song this entire concert. you can legit see his outfit change with jackets and hats. he filled in for ty in kick it (group effort but u get the point) but in 7th sense just to the way that the song works and the dance etc etc, you can’t have mark doing his part as well as ty’s without it falling flat and taking a huge toll on mark. same with boss, marks filling just as big a role as ty and like, legit how do u give this boy mOre lines than he already has. (u can see that sm did a similar thing with jeno and jaemin in the beginning of maw, jeno covers the first part and then jaemin the rest of the song because jaemin can’t leave an open space at the vEry beginning of the song) (10/21 total performances)
lucas isn’t in as many as say mark but he is in boss and make a wish (boss being very hard for him to cover ty’s part, and jeno and jaemin covered maw. if i’m being completely honest i don’t think lucas has the same tone or technical ability to fit into ty’s parts in the songs as much as say - sungchan on a pure technical and tone pov (6/21 total performances)
hendery, similar to lucas isn’t in an absurd amount of tracks but still enough to tire a guy out lol. because of him performing full choreos in other songs it doesn’t make sense for him to learn a completely new choreo while simultaneously having to memorize and practice the others songs. also, in a similar vein of lucas, i just don’t think hendery is the first choice when choosing someone to cover ty’s parts (dont kill me hendery and lucas stans lol) (6/21 total performances)
jeno while jeno isn’t in the sheer number of performances as other members, he does end up covering ty’s starting part in maw (see reasoning for jaemin above). this by proxy means he covers the maw part in resonance. while he does a fantastic job covering the starting part, asking him to learn the entirety of boss or 7th sense would be a fuckton of work. u can legit see him yEEt himself out of camera view after his part - not to mention again that he had an hour to practice lol (6/21 total performances) 7/21 covering
jaemin - first off u can literally see jaemin’s energy fall throughout the final song the boy is so tired by aneyway... it makes total sense for him to cover maw as he already knows the choreo and it take less effort than learning an entirely new song. also, when ur comparing popularity/center time between jeno and jaemin vs. hendery (even lucas sometimes) they simply have more, and when u aRe in the center u have to expend more energy becAuse u are holding the performance together (6/21 performances)
yangyang let me get my yangyang simping out of the way, but this boy is so fucking talented and his rap deserves more praise. lightbulb compared to other songs ty is in, is a more melodic and emotional based song. there is no choreo, therefore the person covering the rap just has to focus on the rap itself rather than the rap AND the choreo. imo this was the best possible choice for someone to cover ty’s part in lightbulb (6/21 total) 7/21 covering ty’s part
shotaro shotaro is only in 4/21 performances. it simply makes sense for the rap line member with the fewest songs to perform to learn a a full choreo. as stated above, 7th sense is the more technically difficult of the songs that required learning and covering a full part. assigning shotaro (the dance line member) to the more challenging choreo is just the easy choice -- especially if ya’ll gonna come for sungchan’s dancing skills, give the damn song to shotaro smh (4/21 performances) 5 when covering 7th sense
sungchan tied with shotaro for the fewest performances (just by nature of being the newest members) in the same way that it makes sense for shotaro to learn a full choreo, it makes sense for sungchan. reasoning for the assigned songs above. (4/21 total performacnes) 5 with boss
// the songs where they didn’t have a designated member cover most/all of taeyong’s parts were in the 127 songs as well as in baby don’t stop (ten and taeyong duet). 127 is the most veteran of the nct subgroups, and is in general just more accustomed to filling in parts (ie winwin - screw u sm lol). they have johnny who trained as a rapper who can fill in, jaehyun, haechan, and yuta have all proven that they can cover rap with more a sing-rap style and mark can take/cover parts when it is logistically possible.
// in 127′s songs although ty does often take center and many lines, in general 127 is just a more well rounded group. (don’t come for my ass). in the same way that dream has an undeniable chemistry, 127 is the same way. when you work with the same group of people for an extended period of time without many (if any) changes you just build better chemistry. in nct u taeyong takes more of the spotlight just due to his charisma and raw power. think about it. which performance suffered more due to taeyong’s absence: touch / kick it or make a wish / boss / 7th sense.
also: because 127 is a fixed unit all the boys know the choreo and have consistently performed it at concerts allowing for member to step in where they know they are comfortable without the amount of discussion it might otherwise take in a rotational group
// take a second to think about a certain performance without taeyong in it. it may just be me, but i think 127 fare much better without their leader than any rotational group without taeyong very (firmly ?) bolstering the performance in the center. (taeyong doesn’t hold all these titles for nothing, he is truly another breed)
// in baby don’t stop they didn’t even attempt to cover taeyong’s absence. idk if that was ten putting his foot down and saying that he didn’t want someone covering the part or if it was more of a choice based on marketing and fanservice. baby don’t stop is truly ten and taeyong’s song and idk if even pairing 10 with a dancer with ty’s vocal in the backtrack would have received positive feedback.
//
if you have somehow made it this far props to you lol. a rant that started because i wanted to defend sungchan has turned into a long analysis of members... whoops.
tldr: just be a decent human being. everyone in nct is human. a talented, multifaceted, human with strengths and weaknesses. being a nctizen doesn’t mean not being proud, disappointed, happy, or any other emotion about the boys. but it does mean treating the boys and other fans with respect.

Tumblr media
“What do you mean by, ‘Don’t be pissed.’?! You decide to eat my ramen and fake your death for 2 years?!” This wasn’t real. Hyuck stood in front of one of his best friends, Na Jaemin. Or an alternative name, ‘Missing Dumbass’. “What can I say, I knew you would remember me if I left with something of yours.” Jae smiled with a shrug of his shoulders as he opened his friend’s fridge.
“I mean. Duh. Welcome back and all but why is the first thing you properly greet, the ‘fridge’?” Hyuck asked as he walked over and tried closing the door that hid all of his treasure: food. “You literally just scolded me like a child and you’re mad at ME for not giving you a nice warm hug?!” Jaemin’s words bounced off of deaf ears. “and for your information, Donghyuck-ah...I’m hungry?” Jaemin looked puzzled as he started to raid the cabinets. “It’s 4 AM.” “I haven’t eaten yet.” Jaemin was now being chased by Hyuck around the small kitchen.
Jaemin made a game as he opened a cabinet to have Hyuck close it right after. Another one. Another. Another. “Want me to be a mother? I will get my belt in a seco- put my spatula down!”
~~
No one knew this was coming, honestly. Donghyuck had gotten comfortable in his onsie and already logged out of his games, getting ready for a nice long sleep. Then...banging.
“I swear to God, Renjun. If you make me check under your bed one more ti-” Then he was met face to face with...a face he once knew very well. A blue mop of hair laid on top of the boy’s head. A jersey thrown on top of a dark hoodie with baggy jeans and skate shoes. Definitely not what Hyuck imagined Jaemin looking like after going missing for 2 years.
“Uh.” Hyuck stalled, the hall light dimmed for the rest of the world who was asleep. “You got food?” Jae pushed past him and directly to the kitchen, not even bothering to take his shoes off. “Bread or something?” “Hello?” Jaemin acted so normal in the most abnormal situation.
“Where the hell have you been?” Hyuck looked at the time, 3:52 AM blinked on the oven. “The club. Sorry to worry you, Mom.” Jae started to get a pan out and filled it with water. “Where do you keep the noodles?” He started opening the cabinets and drawers restlessly. “I’m out...Going to pick up more later- Are you drunk?” “No. Do you have anything?” “Not really.” Jae just stood in the middle of the small kitchen to throw his head up to the ceiling and whine.
“I can go run to the store if you need me to.” Hyuck grabbed his keys that laid on the counter top. “No, it’s fine. I’m fine.” “No you’re not. You show up with BLUE hair and you tell me, ‘I’m fine.’?” Hyuck stood with one hand on his hip, the other pointing to his taller friend.
Jaemin just looked around. “And don’t forget how pissed I am about what you did before you decided to run off and be little mr. independent.” Donghyuck’s nagging had definitely developed after not hearing it for the past years. “Ew. You’re turning into me, stop.” “Well someone had to hold it together for the kids.” An eye roll was earned from Jaemin.
“Everyday Jaemin. I pay the bills, I do the grocery shopping, teaching my classes to come home to dishes overflowing from the sink and the chicken hasn’t been thawed...the rice hasn’t been washed. I drive Jisung to school-” “His classes are across the street from his apartment-” “Don’t patronize me.” Donghyuck slapped the top of his friend’s head, a finger pointed in the hungry boy’s face.
“Don’t be pissed.” Jae pushed his friend’s finger out of his face. That was the last straw.
~~
“Which one?” Donghyuck asked as he watched Jaemin scan the options of instant meals from the 7-11 shelves. “Oooo. This one.” He picked up a nice-looking meal and automatically took off towards the ice cream. He grabbed an arm full as Hyuck could physically hear his wallet weep.
“Anything else?” He asked out of politeness. “Yeah. You get something.” Jaemin motioned to the whole store with a flick of his head. “No thanks. I’m not really in the mood to eat.” Hyuck shook his head as he walked closer to the check-out. The grumbling in his stomach made him bite his inner lip.
Jaemin let all of the merchandise fall onto the counter without a care as a candy bar was added to the top. “Is this all?” The cashier asked the man in the onsie with a wallet in the line of vision. Donghyuck nodded with a small sigh as he saw the total a couple dollars under his current life-savings.
He didn’t think. Just swiped.
Jaemin walked out happily munching on a random ice cream. “Are you sure you don't want one?” He asked as he held the bag up to his friend’s face. Hyuck could only shake his head no as they made the walk back to the apartment.
“Thank you for paying.” Jaemin minded his manners and it fell onto deaf ears again.
The rest of the walk was silent as the early morning air nipped at both of their cheeks.
Jae made himself at home on the couch as Donghyuck locked the door. He walked in to see Jae with his feet up and TV remote in hand. “I’m going to get ready.” Hyuck sighed as he walked into his bedroom.
He began changing when he heard the front door open. In panic, he raced out of the room to see if Jaemin was still here. He was, but now a shocked and semi-petrified Jisung stood in the entry way.
“Jae-Jaemin?” Jisung asked and Jaemin looked over to see Hyuck too tired for any of this. “I’m the ghost of Jaemin.” Jae moved his hands in a weird way which had Jisung reeling towards him to pull his hair.
“Ow.” “You are real!” Jisung shouted which made a shrill of pain go through Hyuck’s brain.
“And I’m going to finish getting ready.” Donghyuck removed himself to finish preparing himself for the day. A fatigued headache made home in his head as he grabbed his glasses and empty wallet.
“Can we go to 7-11 for breakfast?” Jisung asked and Hyuck wanted to scream. “I don’t think that’s an option for today, Jwi.” He patted the taller boy’s back. Jisung nodded and grabbed his bag. “Are you still going to be here when I get back?” The youngest boy’s eyes could make anyone cry but the question just hit a little too hard.
“Uh.” Jaemin looked down to his lap. “Yeah.” His smile was faltering but it seemed somewhat genuine. Jisung didn’t know better and walked out of the door to go to school. Donghyuck followed but made sure to look at his close friend on the couch.
“We want you back around. But, if you don’t think it’s time yet. The door is where you left it.” And with that, he was driving Jisung to school.
~~
“Today...” Donghyuck looked out into the eyes of his students. “I have to grade. So you are dismissed.” The students jumped up and ran out of the classroom in a cheer. The fact is that Hyuck hadn’t gotten sleep in 48 hours and he was sparking. He had settled down to TRY and grade but found himself slipping.
He picked up his pen and started reading over the papers with ease.

“Donghyuck-ah.” Next thing you know, Hyuck actually woke up and looked down to see the papers un-graded. Taeyong and Mark stood before him and he quickly rose to his feet to bow. “I apologize for falling asleep.” “No matter to that now. We have a problem.” Mark spoke and Hyuck thought his heart skipped a beat.
“Follow us.”
He didn’t miss a beat as he followed his leaders down the hall of the academic buildings. Things were quiet...almost too quiet.
~~
He was just here...why did he leave again?
LEE DONGHYUCK - “Haechan” 35.1796° N, 129.0756° E MISSION TITLE:  Retrieval  POSITION: Shooter ; Post ; Retrieving Party
Jaemin had run off again. The Junior Forces felt different again. It only felt normal for a day then...hurting replaced the feeling of being complete once again. “I miss Jaemin.” Jisung muttered as he sat in-between Chenle and Hyuck. “We’re going to get him back. Don’t worry.” Chenle tried his best to comfort his friend.
Yet, Hyuck was trying not to pass out in the seat. Tiredness turned into sickness. Hungry and cold as the glass holding his head up kept rattling.
I didn’t mean for him to leave again
Mark pulled up to the coordinates and Donghyuck was the first to get out. It’s not that he cared the most...he felt like he was obligated to bring back his brother. It wasn’t the same without him.
Everyone was shocked to see that they were at cliffs that overlooked the sea. Just grass...grass...edge.
They all looked at each other before slowly stalking towards the side of the drop-off. They looked down to see Jaemin laying on a lower ledge. Hands under his head and his feet swinging to the beat of the music coming out of his phone.
“Ja-” Jisung was cut off by Jeno throwing a hand over his mouth. “Don’t scare him off.” Jeno warned and the younger stayed quiet. Tear streaks illuminated Jaemin’s face as the sun was beginning to make way for the moon.
“I got this.” Hyuck spoke and broke through the wall of boys; the gun being put back into the holster on his leg. He hopped back into the car and instructed Lele to drive to the nearest 7-11.
In and out. Ramen and iced coffee. When he got back he saw the rest of the boys just silently lounging on the grass. Jisung was sleeping on Renjun’s legs as the sun was going down more. “Did he move?” Hyuck asked as Mark trailed by him. “No. But he was yelling a little while ago. Something about dying?” Mark questioned and Hyuck didn’t need to hear anymore.
[ suggestion : listen to And I’m here by Kim Kyung Hee or Puzzle Piece by Nct Dream while reading ]
He didn’t waste time in jumping down the small cliff onto the next landing. Jaemin didn’t even acknowledge his brother as he stared into the sunset.
They both stared into the setting sky painted with vibrant colors of red and oranges. Hyuck sighed in relief as he finally sat down. He took Jae’s hand and put the cold coffee can into it. “They had your favorite.” Donghyuck bumped his elbow lightly. “And I got the ramen you like. It was on sale so I got you two.” Hyuck held both up in his hands.
The sniffles brought his attention up to his blue-headed friend. The boys who looked over the edge were shocked at what happened next. Donghyuck threw his arms around his friend, bringing Jaemin’s head to his chest. The sobs broke all of their hearts and made Hyuck become misty-eyed himself.
“We’re here for you. I promise.” Hyuck nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat. “We.” The first tear fell as he tried to take a deep breath. “We just want you safe. We want you home.” As both the boys were crying and holding one another, the others couldn’t help but getting choked up.
“I didn't mean to be away for so long. But I got- I got hurt and I didn't want to ask,” Jae sat up and tried to take a deep breath. “I didn’t wan-want to ask for help.” He caught sight of the boys who listened intently. “I wanted to pick up Jisung from school but-but I got up and hurt my back again and wanted to run away again.” He confessed as he looked to the sleepy Jisung who had tears in his eyes.
“And I’m still hurt. I don’t know why I came back-” “Hey. Enough of that.” Hyuck rubbed his friend’s back soothingly. “And I realized I drained your bank account when I came back. And I feel,” The sobs ceased for a deep breath, “horrible.” Hyuck brought him in for another hug. “I’m just glad you came home.” He reassured the boy in front of him.
“We want you home. Even if you need another 2 years to recover, Jae. That’s okay.” Mark piped in and the boys hummed their understanding. “This. This isn’t healthy.” Renjun hopped down to the ledge where Hyuck and Jaemin sat. He took a seat on the other side of Jae and gave a sad smile.
“We’re not us when you’re not around. You’re like...” Renjun was at a loss for words. “Our missing puzzle piece.”  Jeno finished and everyone turned to him where his arm was strung around Chenle’s shoulders.
“Please come home.” Lele added quietly and Jae thought for a moment. “...I...” He started but lost his words as quickly as they came.
He faced towards the sunset again and folded his legs under him. He was never good with words and they all understood that. It was okay.
He was okay.
“The sun is about to set.” He whispered and all the boys came onto the tiny cliff to surround their long lost friend in a warm huddle. Someone’s hand was rubbing Jae’s back lovingly, but no one knew who as the tangle of love wrapped them all up with each other.
Once the sun finally fell below the sea, they still sat there. “I’m ready to go home.” Jae choked and he was helped up and off of the cliff back to the car. Hyuck’s arm was thrown over the taller boy’s shoulder.
Jaemin got the window seat as they drove all the way back to Seoul. The rest of the boys dozed off into la-la land as Mark drove silently. Hyuck stayed awake to look over the group while Jaemin watched as the rain poured down on the windows. The city lights were streaked memories of being on the run.
Donghyuck’s head started bobbing up and down halfway through the drive. He was losing his battle with staying awake for the rest of the trip. Jaemin took note as he guided Hyuck’s head to lay on his shoulder.
“Thank you.” Was all that the boy could mutter. “And one more thing, Jae.” He took the strength he had left to look up at the boy. “If you ever kill yourself. I’m gonna kill you.” Jaemin looked confused as he made sure all of the other boys were sleeping.
Jisung was curled up next to Chenle, Renjun was holding onto Jeno as they both snored softly. Jae looked back to Hyuck. “What are you talking about?” He asked and Hyuck was already half-asleep on his shoulder.
“Mark said you were yelling on the cliff. Something about dying.” Hyuck said groggily taking out his phone and earbuds. “Oh. My phone died in the middle of my playlist.” Jae chuckled and had no time to react before an earbud was being shoved into his ear.
“Good. ‘Cause I was gonna beat you up when I woke up.” Music was turned on and Hyuck curled up into Jaemin’s side one last time.
Jae would make eye contact with Mark through the rearview mirror every now and again, flashing a smile that all the boys missed very much.
Yet, Jae found himself being distracted with looking out the window every time he felt a rush or serenity. He hummed some of the songs before passing out against the window himself.
They all slept feeling full and complete with one another.
They got their missing puzzle piece.

If The Moon Tells You Something | Taeyong
summary: if the moon tells you something, believe it.
words: 4.1k+
category: jack frost au, rise of the guardians references and easter eggs, taeyong is a cutie, also inspired by my ocs raven, bc i love him
Tumblr media
Fairy lights are strung across your headboard. They keep slipping off of the left corner, though, because your window is wide open. Winter hasn't been kind to your university's campus at all. Snow has been pelting the ground since the early morning.
Wind howls through the open window, rattling the pane and sending your thin, white curtains to billow out.
"This is ridiculous," you mutter. You head toward the pane and struggle to push it down, wondering why your house has to be so old; so finicky in extreme weather. Soon, your upper body is shivering from you leaning outside to brush away some of the heavy snow that had accumulated around the pane.
You can see the edge of your roof from your uncomfortable stretching. Snow falls onto your face as if it had been kicked off, so you wonder if there's an owl or a squirrel trying to make a small home for the night.
Instead, a boy peaks over. He smiles.
You shriek and back into your room, scraping your back on the wooden pane. "Ow," you bemoan quietly.
Hesitantly, you peak back out and are startled once again to see that the boy has — assumedly — jumped down to the awning just under your window. "Hello!" He greets, as if he is nothing but a casual passerby on the streets.
His dark locks are covered in white frost, and his lips are a blueish-purple. His eyelashes seem to be completely covered with icy snow. When he blinks at you, some of the melted ice trails from his eyelashes down his pale cheeks.
To you, he looks ethereal. Almost too beautiful to be human. It unnerves you, even more than him showing up unannounced in the middle of the night. "What— Who are you?"
He smiles, teeth sparkling. The air turns white when he talks. "I'm Taeyong."
You furrow your brows. "Are you trying to be Jack Frost or something? Because I'm pretty sure he doesn't scare people just before they're going to sleep!"
Taeyong is sitting cross-legged beneath your window. His elbows are perched on the sill and his chin is rested upon his palms. "Jack Frost is just a pseudonym. Like John Doe. I've been out all night doing icicle runs."
"What are icicle runs?"
"It's where I run across everyone's roof and leave icicles in my wake. It's a vital part of winter, you know." He says it so seriously, and his brown eyes glint with nothing but sincerity.
"So the legends are real?" you manage to breathe out, teeth beginning to chatter.
He laughs, and it sounds to be the warmest thing about him. "Am I going to start nipping at your nose? Maybe." He reaches out and pokes your nose.
You scrunch up your face as the chilliness spreads throughout your body. "Why don't you go bother someone else?"
Taeyong pauses. He looks almost sad. "Not many people can see me, you know? Usually just children. Really smart children who believe in myths adults struggle so hard to understand. Maybe the belief has never outgrown you."
You blink. "Maybe not."
"So I'm bothering you for now." The corners of his eyes crinkle.
You think of your assignment. An art piece on something you strongly believe in. Something abstract and realistic at the same time. Something that makes people think. Something that makes people believe what you do.
Usually, you'd be up to your chest in anxiety over such a large project, especially with it being due over winter break. However, you're snowed in this winter break, with no flights going in or out for a few days. You and your family decided it would be smart to refund the tickets and try for spring break instead.
The thought of spending the holidays alone, without your family, breaks your heart.
All this to say that you're nearly done with your project, since there's nothing better to do besides wallow around in your dorm or snoop through your absent roommates secret candy stash.
You're a bit at odds right now, wondering if the boy in front of you is real, or merely a fatigue-induced mirage crafted up from your extensive research on mythical legends and other things the majority of people tend to believe — at least to an extent.
"I'm real," the boy says. He drops into your dorm, and as soon as his bare feet hit the linoleum, a thin sheet of ice ripples across your floor, breaking apart like lightening bolts. It almost looks as if your floor is now a frozen lake, cracking to reveal the cold depths beneath. "At least, to you."
"So you're just a figment of my imagination?" You rubs your eyes. Once, twice. Then you blink. "You're still here."
"I'm not a figment of anything," he laughs. His eyes crinkle at the sides and there's a certain purity that seems to escape him in that moment. "I'm a guardian. I'm real. But only people who believe can see me."
"I didn't know I believed that much," you mumble to yourself.
A chill creeps down your spine, making you jolt in shock. You spin around, and Taeyong is just behind you, his pointer finger pressed between your shoulder blades.
"This is crazy," he whispers, more to himself than to you. "Not many people believe in Jack Frost, you know. Especially not adults."
"I'm barely an adult," you compensate. "I'm a college student. It's not like I have no wonder left in me."
Taeyong cocks his head to the side. Then he grins. His lip draw upwards into a wide, joyful expression. His eyebrows knit together, and you notice very briefly, that his eyes shine a certain hue of blue in the light. "Wonder. What a wonderful thing, huh?"
"I suppose."
Taeyong leaps back outside, and that's when you notice he isn't standing on anything. He's flying; floating in mid air with no foothold or handle anywhere.
You rush to the window and lean out, eyelids squinted as you try to catch a glimpse of him before the wind takes him away.
For a moment, you notice that he now has a staff in his hand. A long, hooked staff that resembles a gnarled tree branch of some sort. He holds it up, points it at the sky, and then he's gone.
And in his place, snowflakes fall.
-
"Do you believe in Jack Frost?" You ask your professor the next day. You're sitting with the old man outside on one of the many picnic tables around the campus. He's enjoying his own peaceful lunch break.
You, however, have nothing to do, and this is his last day of work until after winter break is over. You're beginning to think last night was just a strange dream, and you need someone to back you up. Therefore, your art professor.
He's one of those jolly old men who look like a mix between a mad scientist and Santa Claus. Professor Joyce, for instance, has a short white beard and bushy eyebrows that just nearly cover his friendly brown eyes. Currently, he is wearing khaki shorts and hiking boots, leaving his calves exposed to the harsh incoming winter. He's munching on carrot sticks, pondering your question with a ruddy smile. "Why? Has someone nipped at your nose?"
"Not exactly," you say, struggling to laugh at the joke that has him in mild stitches. "It's just... he's in Christmas songs, and he has like, ten movies named after him. I just wonder where the legend came from, and if it's real."
"I suppose all legends are real as long as there is belief. Who is to say that what exists in your head is not just as real as what is right in front of you? The entire system of belief begins with faith; the ability to believe what isn't seen."
"Yes, but say you did see something. Something most people don't believe in. How do you know that it wasn't a dream?"
"What did you see?" Professor Joyce narrows his eyes at you.
"Nothing," you speak quickly. "Nothing. I'm sure of it."
You wish him happy holidays, and let the man finish his lunch in peace. On your walk back to the dorm, you realize just how empty the campus is once students begin to return home. Only a few classes are left before break officially begins tomorrow, and only a few people are staying over break.
You wish you had followed your roommates lead and took your flight a week early. Lots of students had done that, after reading the weather reports and deciding it was smarter to simply miss a few classes rather than miss their entire winter break.
But no, you were dumb enough to think the storm would simply cease rather than get worse. Now you're stuck on campus looking like a fool, while only a few others mill around, matching your dismal mood.
You walk up the steps to your dorm building. The steps are coated in a thin sheen of ice, and the moment your sneaker sole steps on the last step, you slip and fall backwards. You close your eyes and brace for the impact of steps against your back, when you fall into someone's arms instead. Someone's very thin, cold arms.
"Woah there, better watch your step."
You jolt, jump out of the boy's arms and turn around. "Taeyong?" Hesitantly, you reach out and touch his hoodie-clad chest, surprised to feel solid muscle beneath it. You had half-expected your hand to fall right through.
"Questioning your beliefs again?" His voice is quiet; there's small smile on his face that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "I'm real, y'know."
You ignore him and continue to head towards your dorm. However, instead of taking the hint, Taeyong walks alongside you, steps spritely. Once you reach your door and stop, taking out your keycard, he stops too, and leans against his staff, simply watching you. "How interesting," he murmurs.
You avoid his gaze and push into your room. "What?"
"You don't want to believe in me, yet you do. That's not usually how it works."
"I don't believe in Jack Frost," you say. You notice the way the light dims behind his kind eyes, and for a moment you wish you could take it back. "But you're here. You're in front of me, and I can't say you aren't real, because it's obvious you are."
Taeyong raises his eyebrows. "I suppose. But I'm only visible to you because you believed beforehand. So you're lying to me."
"I'm not," you say. "I don't believe in fairytales."
"Hmm," Taeyong hums. He skips towards your desk and finds your laptop, open to your last researching topic before you went to take a walk. "The Legend of Jack Frost. You believe in me."
His sing-song voice irritates you only mildly. "I don't," you insist. "I'm studying you. It's for... its for an art project."
"An art project," Taeyong settles his arms across his chest. "So I'm your muse then."
"No," you say.
"Of a sorts."
"Of a sorts," you grit out. "But I was just looking you up after last night. I wasn't planning on you returning."
"And why not?" Taeyong pouts, leaning against his staff again. "You're the only one who believes in me for, like, miles. I want to hang out with you."
"Well, I have work to do, so if you're staying, stay quietly."
"I will!" Taeyong leaps onto your roommates bed and crosses his legs. Frost trails across the mattress and up the headboard. It creeps up the wall and covers the poster of your roommate's celebrity crush. "I promise."
"Okay." You resolve that even if he is just a figment of your imagination, you should still work on your project. You pull up your design page and begin brainstorming. There are many things you believe in, but none strong enough to convince others to believe as well. Nothing comes to mind, so you sit in front of your laptop screen, chewing on the end of your stylus.
You shiver.
"Sorry," Taeyong finally speaks up. "That's the unfortunate side of being my friend: it's always cold."
You grab your blanket off of your bed and wrap it around your shoulders, eyeing the small man as he sits still, just as you asked. He looks preoccupied, touching each polaroid on your roommate's wall and turning it to frost. You wonder briefly how much lasting damage that will have on the picture. But, then again, if he isn't real, then the pictures are fine. "Who said we were friends?"
"Aren't we?" Taeyong smiles lazily. "You believe in me, and I'm starting to believe in you. That's what friends do."
"You're "starting" to believe in me?" You make air quotes. "Why wouldn't you believe in me? I'm a human. I'm real."
"I'm real," Taeyong says simply. "I'm immortal, but I'm real."
"You're not in my history book," you say.
"You're not in mine," Taeyong sticks his tongue out childishly. "But I'm in that book."
He points to the shelf on your wall. There's a book there, one given to you by your great aunt, a long time ago. It's a book passed down through generations, with legends from different cultures. Saint Nicholas, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, The Boogeyman, The Tooth Fairy, and of course, Jack Frost. Other myths like yetis and leprechauns and the fae... anything children tend to believe in.
Anything you believe in. Or, used to believe in. Things that seem so childish when spoken aloud. Because you can't go out for drinks and discuss fairy circles. You can't leave cookies out for Santa when your roommate will laugh at you for it. You can't hide a tooth under your pillow out of fear that one morning it might still be there.
"That's from when I was a child," you say. "It's more for nostalgia than anything else."
Taeyong hums and drifts over to it, leaving a chill in his wake. He grasps the book and opens it up, He begins to leaf through it. "Usually, one who doesn't believe doesn't write notes on the things they don't believe in."
You feel your neck heat up as Taeyong trails his finger down your notes. "Why, just last year, you stuck your wisdom teeth beneath your pillow. Why would you do that if you don't believe?"
"I–" You take time to answer. "I'm not supposed to–"
"Not supposed to believe? Not supposed to have fun?" Taeyong looks concerned, closing the book and leaning in close. His face is just in front of yours, and his breath is cold against your cheeks. "Why not?"
You shrug and look away. "I don't know. It's different when you become an adult. People look at you weird if you believe in stuff like that."
"What about angels and demons and ghosts and gods?" Taeyong says, "Don't adults believe in them?"
"Those are different." You sit at your desk and put your head in your hands. "Those aren't just debate topics. They bring hope of an afterlife; of something more meaningful than life itself."
"And we don't?" Taeyong sits on your desk and closes your laptop. He leans onto his palm and circles the rim of your mug. "We don't bring hope?"
"Not to adults. Not when you start thinking about what life really means."
"What about to you?" Taeyong asks. His eyes are blown out, brown in color, but that familiar icy blue returns, creeping into his irises. He finally blinks, and frost drifts down his cheeks. "Do we bring hope to you?"
You suck in a breath and stare at him. "Yes. You do."
-
Taeyong doesn't return for two days, and you truly start to think he's found someone else who believes much more than you. You imagine that your heart, or soul, or wherever the belief is stored, is rather dim compared to the schoolchildren across town.
You stay on your bed, tossing a stress ball into the air and catching it, over and over again. The wind howls outside, rattling your window into opening, but you're too sad to close it. Christmas Eve is only a week away, and all flights in and out are still cancelled. The snow isn't letting up either, so you don't even want to risk walking out of your dorm.
You sigh and close your eyes. "I can't believe I'm saying this," you whisper into the empty room. "But Jack Frost, if you're near, could you come visit me?"
The wind whistles louder, and your window slams shut.
You jolt up, eyeing the window. "What the–"
"You called?" Taeyong is the in your doorway, leaning on his staff. He has a sort of shit-eating grin on his face. "I knew it wouldn't take long before you missed me."
You avoid his eyes and pick at the hem of your sweater sleeves. "I'm just... lonely here. That's all. I don't miss you, per se."
"I think you missed me." Taeyong says. His eyes shine with mirth and just as the room gets colder, you feel warmth flood your veins.
You don't deny it. "Come distract me from my project. I'm too upset to do anything productive."
You fall back down onto your bed, scooting sideways until your shoulder is pressing against the wall.
Taeyong lays down beside you. He conjures up a snowball, and begins to throw it up in the air, in the same speed that you throw your stress ball. "Distract you, huh?"
"Yeah. Anything."
"Hmm, should I tell you about me? How I came to be?"
"Yes, please," you set the stress ball down and turn on your side. You focus on Taeyong's side profile: his sharp jawline and the boyish slope of his nose. His eyelashes are still covered in frost, in an ethereal way that makes you think of snowflakes against a windowpane.
"My name is Jack Frost. How do I know that? The moon told me so. But that was all he ever told me. And that was a long, long time ago..."
-
Taeyong leaves after his story, but he comes around every so often after that, if just to tell you hello and ask about your project. You're still stumped, but it's easier to feel creative when he's around, so you mostly doodle sketches of him.
He continues his story every night, adding on as he remembers. You illustrate his stories, drawing rough sketches of the way he describes the elves and the easter bunny.
With each night your wonder grows, and you end up begging him to stay, if just to finish the story sooner.
Taeyong finally does finish it, the day before Christmas Eve, and you've hung onto every word. "So Pitch was defeated?"
"Yeah," Taeyong says. "I mean, as long as there is fear, he'll exist. But as long as there is belief, so will we."
He smiles at you, and you wonder if he's always been this handsome.
-
Christmas Eve is spent FaceTiming your family, and leaving them hints about what you've bought them. You even watch a movie with them through the screen, and you feel a lot better than you did before. They reassure you that Christmas in Springtime is most definitely a thing, and not something they made up on the spot.
You feel a bit better about spending Christmas alone.
Well, not alone. Realistically, all the other students who got snowed in will more than likely gather in the cafeteria tomorrow for cold pizza and a small gift exchange with the professors that also stayed over.
But you'll feel alone. No one you know is snowed in, and you've still got your project to complete.
You know exactly what you want to believe in now, even if your professor or peers might laugh at you.
With the radio playing a low hum of holiday music, you begin to sketch a rough outline of your project onto your tablet screen.
Your window rattles again.
You smile to yourself. "Come in, Taeyong."
You feel him before you see him by the cold frost that creeps across the windowpane and over to your feet, uncovered by your blanket. You shiver, and Taeyong finally makes himself known.
He stands beside your chair, watching you work. "It's me," His voice brightens. He leans down until his chest brushes against your shoulder.
Warmth spreads through your body just as quickly as the cold chill his skin brings. His chilly breath brushes against the shell of your ear, and you do your best not to let it distract you as you show him your project. "Yeah."
"Why?" Taeyong's voice has a sudden softness to it you haven't heard before.
"Because..." You trail off, wondering if its appropriate to tell an immortal guardian that you have a crush on him. It most certainly is, but Taeyong's eyes are a beautiful mix of brown and blue, and his eyelashes are a pretty cream color, mesmerizing as they fall against his opaque skin. "Because you're what I believe in most."
With Taeyong so close, you can hear his breath catch in his throat. "You admitted it," he whispers. "Like, properly."
"No sense telling myself any different," you conclude.
Taeyong doesn't answer; doesn't move, so you turn your head to check his reaction.
You heart lurches in your chest when you realize hes already looking at you. Your nose bumps against his. A chill spreads across your face, opposing Taeyong's cheeks, now rosy with a sort of frost bitten warmth one receives after coming into the house after a long day of playing in the snow.
You focus on his eyes. The reflection of the fairy lights behind the two of you flicker in his eyes, along with an emotion you can't name.
It disappears just as quickly, and it's replaced by a sort of serene glow. His gaze drifts down your face, landing on your lips. You bite your bottom lip nervously, and he watches action.
His hand, on your shoulder suddenly, like he's just decided he needs to steady himself. "I've never felt this warm before," he whispers.
"Does it hurt?" your lips brush against his, and there’s a jolt down your spine from how cold his lips are.
"Not really," he says, eyes closing. "It's nice. It makes me feel close to you. I want to be close to you."
His voice gets softer as he continues; the vulnerability fills your heart with affection.
"Taeyong," you hum, "you can kiss me."
Something like an expression of thanks escapes Taeyong's lips in the form of a sigh. He kisses you, lips cold and chapped against your smooth ones.
His hand stays on your shoulder, but it drifts slowly towards your neck. His nimble fingers play against the seam of your collar, and every time he accidentally grazes you skin, he pushes closer. Closer, until his chest is flushed against yours and your desk chair rolls back, breaking the two of you apart in a fit of laughter.
"Taeyong." You stand up and rest your palm against his chest. "Come here."
Taeyong nods, eyes on you the entire time while you turn him and push him towards the bed. He sits on the end almost obediently and looks up at you, eyes starry and wide.
You move your body between his spread legs and cup his face. You let the pad of your thumb brush across his jaw, cold and smooth. "You're really pretty," you say.
Taeyong blinks up at you. His lips, pale and purple, curl up into a smile. His eyebrows furrow, like he's unsure. "Really?"
You want to tell him that he's a snowflake personified. He's the sunlight on a patch of snow and the way a child lights up when a snowball in thrown. He's the cheer of a snow day and the cold nip at your shoulders when you open the front door.
You can't say it, not right now, so you bend down and kiss him again, allowing your mouth to melt against his.
His cold fingers grip the bottom of your shirt. He tugs you down: closer, closer, closer until the two of you are lying down, legs tangled together.
Taeyong stops to lean his forehead against yours, breath chalky in the warm air of the dorm. "I think I can hold off the snow long enough for you to fly over."
"What?" you sit up. "Taeyong, really? You'd do that?"
Taeyong nods, still lying down. He's smiling up at you, like you're something magnificent in a light he's never seen before. In reality you are just you, and there's a painting of him in the background, more beautiful then he's ever perceived himself to be. "As long as you promise to come back, where I — and a few extra weeks of winter — will be waiting."

Daddy's Bad Girl
Tumblr media
Requested by: @skittlez-area512
Warning: Some smut
Word Count: 1.3k
A/N: Be gentle, I'm finally trying to get back into the groove of writing!
Your relationship with Mark was new, the two of you only dating for about 6 months. You were happy and you trusted Mark, you really did. It was the skanky women who constantly surrounded him that always had you on edge. Whenever you and Mark went out to a party, or dinner with friends, wherever it would be, a flock of women would usually surround him. After a few minutes of bathing in the compliments from them, he would ask them to leave him alone so he could enjoy his night with you, his girlfriend. You had never voiced your concerns to him about the constant attention, unsure of how to even bring it up. You were constantly dealing with an internal battle on whether or not you really should say anything, so you always ended up leaving it alone. Until tonight. Although, you had meant it in a joking manner, a part of you still had some seriousness to it. After you had finished your makeup and your hair, you had gotten dressed in a little black dress, paired with some red pumps. You walked out of your closet as Mark was putting on some cologne before the two of you left. He looked good. He knew and you knew it, and you just knew he would be surrounded at Jackson's party, no where was safe. "You look good." He smiles as the two of you sit in the back of the cab. "Thanks babe." You smile, as Mark begins checking his phone to tell Jackson the two of you were on your way. "You know" you begin as the two of you walk up the steps to Jackson's house. "You look really good too. I'll be fighting for your attention with all those other girls all night" you partially joke. "Ha, I know. Luckily I don't have to deal with that with you and other guys." He says with a sigh of relief. What the actual fuck? "What is that supposed to mean" you snap. "I just mean that I'm lucky guys don't approach you. That's all" he defends himself. "Yeah because I don't allow it." You say, rolling your eyes. "Sure" he laughs as he walks into Jackson's house with you angrily trailing behind. As the two of you walk in, the bass of the music hits you hard, the house reeks like sweat and liquor, but you're too mad to even comment on it. As Mark wanders off to a group of strangers, you decide against following him, instead making your way to the kitchen where you're sure there will be an ample amount of booze for you to consume to forget your slight distaste for your boyfriend at the moment. As you stand by the table, deciding on which drink you wanted to begin with, you started feeling like you were being watched. Turning around, you're met with the eyes of an extremely handsome man, who was most definitely staring at you. As your eye's catch his, he lifts his lip slightly, giving you a small smirk and a nod before speaking to someone beside him. You don't respond, instead just turn back to the liquor table and pour yourself a drink before heading back into the living room. As you guessed, Mark was nowhere to be found, probably lost in a sea of women, so you stood by the wall, sipping your drink while bobbing your head to the music. "I've never seen you here before." Someone yells into your ear. Turning your head you're met with the face of the same man from in the kitchen. "That's because I've never been here before" you say with a straight face, eyes still searching for Mark. "I'm Taeyong." He introduces himself. "Y/N" you reply with a small smile. "Would you like to dance, Y/N?" Taeyong asks. Before you could decline, you remembered Mark's words as the two of you walked into the party. He was lucky he didn't have to deal with you and other guys. He was, until he would have to deal with it tonight. "Sure." You respond, placing your red solo cup onto the nearest table. Taeyong grabs onto your hand, pulling you to the middle of the living room where others are dancing. He doesn't hesitate to put his hands on your hips as you partially grind onto him. You knew you shouldn't have done this, being petty in a relationship wasn't very healthy, but if Mark could bask in the glory and attention of multiple other women without you saying anything, then he could deal with you dancing with someone, if he even took a few minutes to try and find you that is. After a few minutes, you stopped searching for Mark and began enjoying yourself. Your body got lost in the beat, lost in Taeyong's rhythm as his hands roamed up and down your sides. You knew Mark was now watching, which was the only reason you allowed Taeyong to move his hands. You could feel the burn of his stare as you continued to move your hips, a small smirk playing on your lips. When you finally opened your eyes, you were directly met with the angry eyes of Mark. You could see his fists clenched as well as his jaw as he watched you dance with another man. You smiled at him, and that seemed to set him off. He stormed towards you, grabbing onto your wrist tightly to drag you away. Once in the hallway, he opened the door to a bathroom, pushing you inside. "What the fuck was that?" He snapped through his clenched jaw. "I was just dancing with a new friend. You seemed pretty busy with all your admirers, so.." you said with a shrug of your shoulders. "You're mine." He growls. "Am I?" You ask. "Yes, you are. Which means you don't dance with other men." "Well the way you leave me to talk to other girls, makes me think you're not that serious" you whisper. "Should I prove it to you?" He asks, cocking his head to the side as he moves closer to you. "Mhm?" "Yes" you whisper, looking into his now dark eyes. Mark leans his head down, harshly pressing his lips to yours. He swiftly slides his tongue into your mouth, deepening the kiss. Mark moves his hands to your waist, picking you up to set you down on the counter, moving his body in between your legs. "You" he begins to say in between kisses on your neck. "Are." "Mine." He finishes, looking you in the eyes. His hands pull your legs open more, causing the bottom of your dress to ride up, exposing your lack of panties.   "This better be for me, baby" he growls. Mark takes you from the counter, swiftly placing you on the floor before bending you over the counter, spreading your legs wide. "I'll show you who you belong too" he growls. As your head lays flat on the cool cabinet, you hear the sound of Mark undoing the zipper to his jeans before shimmying them down his legs to allow his thick, delicious cock to spring free. "Maybe this will help you to remember to keep your ass off other mens cocks." He whispers into your ear as he lines himself up with your entrance before thrusting himself into you. Mark loves quickly to pick up his pace, harshly thrusting his cock in and out of you, making you cry out. He reaches his hand up, gathering as much hair as he can before yanking it back, pulling you up against him. His thrusts never falter as he slips his other hand into your dress, teasing your perky nipples. "Fuck baby" he pants into your ear. "I bet you wanna cum, don't you?" He growls. "Yes, yes, please" you cry out. Mark chuckles as he moves his hand down your front, and in between your lips. He takes one finger sliding against your clit before taking his hand away, lightly chuckling. "You've been a bad girl for daddy, you don't get to cum yet baby"

Athena's POV
Sixty.
That's how many seconds I have before I have to step off this metal circle. It's all the time they give us to survey our surroundings. I look around to see the other tributes scattered randomly, all facing towards the cornucopia. Heart thumping, I spot Jaemin on the complete opposite end.
There are supplies almost an arm-length away from me, however everyone knows that the most useful supplies is placed in the mouth of the Cornucopia. Almost beckoning for me to take one, knifes are displayed on the walls.
Thirty Seconds.
I'm counting down in my head. Should I grab the book bag in front of me in case there's a weapon in it? But then, by the time I get to the Cornucopia, others will already be waiting for me with their fresh pick. However, if I'm quick enough I could get them while their backs are turned.
Twenty seconds.
Breathe. I look around to see no other than Haechan placed exactly to my right. That's a huge problem. No matter what I choose, he's going to be right on my trail. But the bag is so close!
Bag or Cornucopia?
Fifteen seconds.
My eyes dart, back and forth trying to come up with a decision. Then, suddenly I question how I will even be able to find Jaemin during the chaos, if he decides to ditch me and run away to the lake. He wouldn't, right?
I look him in the eyes and discreetly nod towards the Cornucopia, praying he gets the message. Or that he even saw it, considering he's about 20 tributes away from me.
Now back to the bag situation.
10 seconds. Big, yellow letters appear on a screen in the Cornucopia, counting down.
Back and forth, I struggle to come up with a quick decision on which I should do first. However, when I look over to my left, over two tributes away is Renjun. Noticing my visible distress, he shakes his head at me.
"Don't." He mouths.
I get into running position and keep my eyes on the knifes. Guess I'll give up on the backpack. Although, since Renjun is officially my competition now, should I trust his input?
Is this a secret plan between the three of them to collectively slash me to bits?
5 seconds.
Fine, I've made up my mind. Okay, Huang Renjun, I'll forget the dumb fucking bag.
3 seconds.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Breathe you fucking moron, before you pass out.
2 seconds.
Then, I hear it, the gong. My body takes over and I'm sprinting as fast as I can. I'm so close now, I can practically already feel the blades in my hands. My lungs are burning, but I don't care.
I reach out and grab several, random knifes from the wall. However, once I turn around, my whole body collides with the sharp wall behind me. A boy from District 5 has his bare hands around my throat, making me drop the knifes.
Pivoting my body to the right, I strike his arm with my left palm. Once he falls forward, I use the same arm to lock around his neck. Squeezing as hard as I can, I grab whatever I can from the wall with my free hand and thrust it into the side of his neck.
Blood violently seeps in squirts from the wound onto me, as I release him from my hold. I grab my dropped weapons and a backpack by my ankle. When I look up, I am greeted by absolute madness.
Lee Jeno is standing over a young girl from District 3 with an axe stuck in the middle of her head. Meanwhile,  Renjun has just slashed open the District 8 boy's neck. Too occupied, they don't even notice me running past them. However, I feel someone leap on my back, causing me to crash face-first into the ground. I use all my strength to roll the large boy off of me, before stunning him with a sharp and painful punch to the nose. Wasting no time, I jab a knife into his throat, before pulling it out to keep.
Jaemin.
I desperately try to look for the blond boy, but he's nowhere to be found. There's beginning to be less people, meaning the Careers will spot me if I stick around much longer. While they're occupied with hacking away at the poor tributes, I decided to immediately follow Taeyong's advice of collecting water. It's important that I get there before Renjun does the same. I sprint through trees, trying to achieve a safe distance.
Once I've gotten away far enough to no longer hear the deafening screams of the dying children, I could softly hear the sound of moving water masked under the chirping birds.  At this moment, I can't help but feel jealous of them. They have no idea what's truly happening beneath them.  Stuck in their own little world, safe from harm's way in the trees. Even if something where to happen to them, they have wings to fly away with. I guess, they remind me of the people from the Capitol.
As the sound of water gets louder, I make sure to tread quietly. The Careers can't be far, and right now I'm alone and vulnerable. God, I wish Jaemin was here right now.
Noticing the dirt become muddier as I walk near the sound, I know I should be extremely close by now.
Snap.
Alerted, I quietly crouch behind a tree. Knife ready, I wait until the crunching of leaves get close enough, before I jump out and tackle the noisy perpetrator to the floor.
They put up a good fight too, attempting to push me off their back. During our wrestling, I notice them looking around frantically, probably looking for their weapon since they dropped it during the tackle.
Suddenly, the head becomes locked in one direction. Following his gaze, I see a trident laying on the forest floor.
A trident?
They notice me pause, throwing me backwards into the ground. My head smacks backwards against it, my eyes shutting in pain.
Once they open, I am face-to-face with the sharp prongs of the trident.
Cowering backwards, I frantically say, "Jaemin! It's me."
Once he realizes, the alerted look on his face fades away into one of concern, "Athena, are you okay?"
Jaemin chucks his weapon to the side and thoroughly looks over my face and body for injuries.
"It's not my blood," I assure him, "Ran into some people at the Cornucopia."
"It's literally everywhere. Here, follow me to the lake, so you can wash it off." He gently pulled me up off the ground.
Grabbing his trident in one hand and my own hand in his other, he leads me to the lake. We crouch down by the waterside. My hands scooping up some water to cure the dryness in my throat. Then, I began scrubbing off the blood from my face and body.
"What happened out there? I couldn't find you at the Cornucopia." He asked, curious.
I watch the blood fading away into nothing in the river, as I speak, "I made it to the center. The guy from District 5 tried to choke me out right away. Then, after I started looking for you, I got tackled by a guy I couldn't see."
Frowning at the now clear water, "Honestly, for a second, I thought you left without me, when I couldn't find you there."
"I wouldn't leave you. We're in this till the end, okay?" Jaemin promises.
"Til the end, then," I agree, "What happened to you?"
"I only got to this," He held up his trident, "before Haechan is launching at me with bow and arrows. He kept chasing me, and before I know it I ended up far behind the back of the Cornucopia. That's where I spotted this lake from. He kept calling out for me, but eventually I guess he just gave up. That's when I decided to leave and set out to find you."
Taking in his words, I point out, "It sounds a lot like they were trying to purposely separate us, so they could kill us easier. Don't you think?"
"It makes sense, " He suddenly laughed, "it's funny though, we almost killed each other for them."
"I'm sorry for tackling you like that." I apologized.
"It's fine. Is your head okay?" Jaemin softly patted the back off my head.
"It is now." I bat my eyelashes, playing it up for the cameras. Looking around, I notice some  flowers sticking up through the water, surrounded by Lilly pads.
"What are these?" He curiously picked one from the water.
"They're pond lilies. They're good for infections and burns. Plus anti-inflammatory too." I remember what Taeyong taught me.
"Hm, so smart," He smiles down at me, before tucking the flower behind my ear, "and pretty too."
I don't hide the way my cheeks flush. Just like they did last night, when I was with Renjun.
Distracting myself from the thought, I decide to look throw the bright orange back pack I picked up after killing the District 5 guy. While rummaging through it, I found a pack of crackers, a pack of dried beef strips, a bottle of iodine, a box of wooden matches, a bit of coiled wire, glasses, and an empty black water bottle.
Grabbing the bottle, I began to fill it up with water for later. Then, I place it back in the backpack along with some of the knifes I've been holding onto. While doing so, Jaemin proceeds to try on the glasses.
"Wow, these really do suck. I can still see the sun." He murmurs, looking around.
"Then, they're probably supposed to be used during night. That'll be useful for hunting. Speaking of hunting, you hungry?" I ask, feeling my stomach rumble at the first mention of food.
"Yeah, let's go."
Renjun's POV
Jeno, Haechan, and I had decided to turn the Cornucopia into our own little camp. We had  all the supplies we could ever need. I mean, sure, there's about ten bodies just laying around, but home sweet home, right?
However, right now it wasn't feeling too sweet.
"What the fuck happened out there, Haechan? The plan was whoever was closest to her would kill her as soon as she stepped off the platform. You were the closest." complained an irritated Jeno.
I don't feel guilty that Haechan is unknowingly taking the hit for me. In fact, I was the one who stopped her from getting that bag and immediately dying by the bare hands of Haechan. I'm not sure what made me do it. I keep telling myself that maybe I was thinking about her being defenseless and unable to put up a fair fight would be unfair.
Or maybe I'm just pussy-whipped after last night, I don't know. My hand subconsciously goes to the hidden mark she left near my collarbone. Although I can't see it, I can feel the slight pain as my fingers pass over it. A reminder of last night.
Ripping my hand away, I try to tune back into the argument to avoid popping up a boner, while on live national-fucking-television.
"She was just too fast. I was sure that huge dude from District 5 was going to finish her off for me," Haechan suddenly remembered something, "Besides I was the one who made sure they were separated like our Plan B said to do."
I guess he's right. If we were able to kill them, we were going to do our best to separate them. Without Athena, Jaemin probably couldn’t survive, since District 4 is entirely a beach district. That fish boy probably has no idea how to survive for a week in the woods.
On the other hand, Athena, for some reason, needs him just as much. The three of us had debated on the reason why. Maybe she’s using him for his fame and sponsors? Although, she had received a lot of positive attention based on her own charms. She didn’t need him for that.
That’s what led us to the conclusion that she had a little girl crush on him. The thought makes me sick. I thought the Lee Athena I grew up with, would never waste her time on a guy like him.
As the sky becomes dark, I wondering what they’re doing now. Are they dead? Or still all alone? I can imagine Athena, hiding in a tree all by herself, frightened and scared. A little part of me wonders what would happened if she joined the Careers. Would she be here right now sitting next to me? Listening to these annoying boys bicker with each other.
Where are you, Lee Athena?
Maybe they found each-other. Maybe they’re looking up at the same sky right now.
I can see it. Them huddling close together, blaming it on their need to keep warm for the night. His arms wrapped around her, tightly. Her head resting against his check, watching the stars.
God, it makes me sick.

Jiwon and her team arrived two days later, in the morning.
“Thank you so much for coming so fast. Let’s all sit down and we’ll tell you why you’re here. We brought our trainees in on this too.”, Taeyong explained. Him and Jiwon had known each other since they were little kids, they both grew up in the Mafia.
“Your trainees? Wow, you’re really serious about this, aren’t you?” Jiwon was surprised. Taeyong usually liked to wait until the trainees were ready. He didn’t like taking chances on people he didn’t fully trust. So hearing that the trainees were in on it too had to mean that this particular mission was more than important to him and his members.
Everybody gathered around a large table. Taeyong nodded at Haechan, and he presented all the information they had.
“Two days ago we discovered that one of our team members, Sicheng, went missing. Well, he left. But he didn’t tell anybody. We think that Ten recruited him to a new group of the Mafia. They broke five known criminals out of prisons and mental institutions to complete the group. Since then, we have not had eyes on any of them. They went completely off the grid.” He continued talking for a bit, and distributed a printed version of all the facts they had.
Jiwon furrowed her eyebrows.
“So why are you looking for him? I don’t mean to be rude, but if he left you why want him back? He betrayed you. I wouldn’t want him back, I would want to kill him. He has crucial information on all of you. You still trust him with all of that?”
Jaehyun seemed angered by what he heard, and he stood up rapidly.
“You don’t know who you’re talking about, so shut up. Taeyong brought you in as assistance, and nothing more.”
Jiwon raised her eyebrows, and stood up as well.
“I am here as a favour to an old friend. Watch your tone with me, or you’ll regret it.”
“Guys, please. Sit down, both of you. We’re not on different teams here, we have to come together as one. Please.” Taeyong sighed and got up himself.
“I get that it might be hard to understand why we want everybody working on this and why we want him back. First and foremost we want to assure that he’s safe. Him joining them is just one of many possibilities. He could’ve been lied to as well, we don’t know that for sure, okay? On another note. Renjun, Chenle. If you’ve received any messages from Ten or his friends then you should speak now. Right now. We won’t be mad at you, we just want to know that we can trust you. It’s very possible that Ten will try to recruit you two too.”
Renjun shook his head, and looked at Chenle. The young boy was shy, and he shook his head as he looked down to his hands that he had placed in his own lap.
“Good. That said, if he tries to contact you, don’t shoot him down immediately. It might be one of the best chances we have of setting up a meeting with him, okay?”
Taeyong wasn’t entirely okay with having them here, but it was already too late. They were in on the mission, it was a done deal. He couldn’t pull them back out now.
They went on to discuss a few possibilities on how to locate their targets without letting them know they were looking for them.
Seonghyeon noticed that Xiuying was blushing. At first she just thought she had seen wrong, but then she saw Jeno winking at Xiuying from across the table. She balled her hands into fists, and when Izumi gave her a questioning look, she nodded her head in Jenos direction, and then in Xiuyings direction. Izumi quickly understood.
“We’re gonna give the boys a little peptalk once we’re done here, aren’t we?”, Izumi asked with a smile on her face. Seonghyeon merely nodded.
People began to clear out of the room. Seonghyeon let Jiwon and Taeyong pass her, and waited until all the girls except for Izumi got out of the room. The boys left in the room were mostly trainees, but Mark and Haechan were there too.
“Is there a problem?”, Jaemin asked when Seonghyeon blocked the door. She shook her head.
“No, everything is great. I just want to make sure we’re all on the same page when we’re working together here. This is not some fun little vacation we’re spending together. I get that you all don’t see a lot of women, but that’s for good reason. If you don’t want me to hurt you then keep it in your pants. Seriously.”
Jaemin raised his eyebrows in disbelief.
“Oh come on. We’re not thirteen, we’re grown-ups.”
With a swift motion, Seonghyeon had Jaemin pinned to the wall, her arm pressed lightly on his throat.
“Watch it. I eat boys like you for breakfast.”
When she let him go, Jaemin coughed and seemed a lot less cocky than just seconds ago.
“Now that we get each other, you can go.”, Izumi spoke and stepped away from the doorway. The boys avoided eye contact with either of them, and almost all of them cleared out. The two youngest boys sat down on the sofa though, and they seemed to have a rather agitated whisper-shouted discussion. Izumi looked at Seonghyeon, and they both went over to Chenle and Jisung.
“Everything okay over here?”, Izumi asked with a soft voice, attempting to get them to open up.
“O-oh, it’s nothing.”, Chenle mumbled, but he yelped when Jisung rammed his elbow into Chenles side.
“Fine.. A few days ago I got a weird message. It just said a bunch of coordinates and a time. I didn’t want to say anything when Taeyong asked because I didn’t go there and I didn’t want to waste his time.” Chenle was red, out of embarrassment and because he was nervous that the girls would scold him.
Izumi placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Hey, look at me. It’s okay that you didn’t say anything, you hear me? I think that it’s worth telling Taeyong though. Maybe we can go check out the place that was texted to you.”
Chenle looked at Izumi shyly and nodded. His cheeks were burning red.
“O-okay. That sounds alright. Taeyong isn’t gonna be mad is he?” Chenle truly respected Taeyong. He was just unsure of himself and he didn’t get the hang of everything yet.
“I don’t think so. He’s very grateful that you’re a part of this, I’m sure. don’t worry about it too much. I heard that we’re gonna have lunch, you two should head to the kitchen.”
Izumi gave them a reassuring smile, and they went off to the kitchen.
“I will never understand how you never lose your patience.”, Seonghyeon noted, making Izumi laugh.
“Just because you don’t have any patience to begin with.”

The next few days I’ve been thinking about my maybe small...Okay BIG crush on Jaehyun. Deciding it was time to open up to my friends about my feelings towards Jaehyun on our Friday night hang outs.
~Friday Night~
“Lucas! What did I say about chicken talk” I said pointing my finger at him like a mother scolding her child. Lucas sat there with a pout on his face.
“Sorry” he said looking down at the ground
“KIDS COME EAT FOOD IS HERE” Kun said after shutting the door. All of us quickly ran to the kitchen as fast as we could and started stuffing our faces.
“So Y/N, how are you and Jaehyun doing” Sicheng said raising his right brow
“Fine, he took me out to ice cream and we watched the sunrise together”
“How do you feel about him” Sicheng asked
“Honestly, I’m not sure, but I guess I can give him a chance”
“OMG finally, You’ve literally had the fattest crush on Taeyong for the longest time” Lucas said standing up from how excited he was
“yeah what made you change your mind? What about Taeyong?” Jungwoo said
“Ehh Taeyong is way too out of my league, it’s not like I’ll get the courage to even ask him out anyways”
“You barely figured that out now?” Lucas said
“Shut it big mouth, besides Jae is way easier to talk to and I heard Taeyong started to date someone anyways, but that’s enough about me, Jungwoo, spill the beans I know you’ve been talking to someone”
“what do you mean” Jungwoo said as a blush creeps onto his cheeks “I’m not talking to anyone”
“you know what I mean, I see you smiling at your phone a lot, so spill”
 “we’re just friends..”
“friends my ass, I hear you facetiming with them in the middle of buttass night” Lucas says
“shut up big mouth let Jungwoo speak” Kun said getting closer to hear the tea “spill the beans Jungwoo, whose making you all giggly huh?”
“you guys are annoying just eat your stupid food” Jungwoo said
Jungwoo didn’t end up telling us about who he was talking to, but I honestly think it’s that one kid in his English class. Lily think?
As weeks went by, as Jaehyun and I began to get closer. He would randomly call me to show me the new song he learned on the violin, which he just started to learn and may I say, he was not the best at it but, he tried and that's that mattered. He started walk me to class, even if his class is across campus, he would even sit in my class with me till I told him to leave.
It was obvious to his friends and my friends, heck even everyone at school, that we both liked each other, but none of our friends forced us to get into a relationship quickly as they knew we both wanted to take things slow. My friends grew fond of Jaehyun’s friends, and as Lucas said, and I quote “the more crackheadness the better”.
It was a Thursday evening, Johnny, Jaehyun, Kun, and I were waiting for Doyoung, Jungwoo, Lucas, and Sicheng to finish up their last class of the day. We all were at the lunch area sitting at one of the tables and chatting.
“can they just ditch, I’m so hungry” I whined while holding my stomach and leaning onto Jaehyun’s arm. He chuckled a bit and lifted his arm to pat my head.
“they’re so disgustingly cute, I honestly don’t know if I want to vomit or coo” Johnny said to Kun, who was next to him.
“Honestly, I’d vomit on them” Kun said
“hey! you’re rude” I said pouting
“you’re not a nice either, so I wouldn’t be talking” Lucas says as he walks up to our table with Sicheng, Jungwoo, and Doyoung.
“finally, I felt like I was going to die without some sushi in my stomach” I said while standing up and grabbing Lucas’s arm and pulling towards where his car is. “can we go now, that spicy tuna roll is waiting to get in my tummy”
Everyone laughed a bit and split into two cars, Johnny (the driver), Sicheng, Doyoung, and Jungwoo, while Jaehyun, Kun, Lucas and I were in another car.
Lucas was driving Kun sat in the passenger’s seat while Jaehyun and I were in the back playing around on each others phones. He was showing me this video he thought was funny. He was smiling at his phone, his cute dimple popping out. Honestly, I wasn’t even paying attention to the video, I was admiring him. I was happy, the happiest I been in my life. I had a great group of friends, and someone who I see myself with in the future. I was so happy that I didn’t know that I started crying till Jaehyun spoke up.
“oh my god YN are you okay? why are you crying? was it the video? I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have showed you” Jaehyun said and started to wipe my tears with the sleaves of his hoodie
I laughed a little “I’m fine, I just got emotional for a second”
Lucas snorted “because of a monkey video”
“No you fucking asshat, I just...I don’t know I just feel really happy. I just thought about how lucky I was to have all” I said beginning to tear up again
“shh Y/N don't cry, you’ll reveal your ugly crying face to Jaehyun” Lucas said
“fuck you” I said
“I love you too” Lucas said smiling and quickly throwing me a fingerheart in the rearview mirror.
“I’m happy to have you too Y/N” Kun said looking back and smiling at me
I smiled and looked up at Jaehyun, I was staring at me and smiling as well. Nothing was said between us as he pulled me to his side and hugged me.
When we got to the sushi place we were quickly got seated, Jaehyun to my left and Lucas to my right. Kun to the right of Lucas. On the other side was Johnny, Sicheng, Jungwoo, and Doyoung (in that order HHH). Lucas told everyone about what happened in the car. Everyone was laughing and smiling telling me they loved me too. I got embarrassed and hid myself in Jaehyun’s side. I can feel him shaking, as he’s laughing along with everyone
“I fucking hate all of you” I said but was muffled by Jaehyun’s hoodie
“Stop hiding in your boyfriend’s hoodie, the food is coming” Lucas said poking my side
I squirmed and lifted my face “I hate you especially” I said pouting at Lucas. Blushing at the thought of Jaehyun being my boyfriend, obviously it wasn’t official...yet..I hope..
“mhmm that's not what you said in the car. Thank you” Lucas said as the waitress placed his plate in front of him
I smiled at the waitress and said my thanks as well. I stuffed a piece into my mouth and tried to look mad, but that obviously didn’t last.
The whole time we were laughing and telling jokes, yes Lucas got into an argument with Doyoung about the chicken and the egg thing. As everyone finished their food, I leaned back into Jaehyun, who was on his phone texting his mom, and watched Lucas and Doyoung argue. I laughed when Johnny entered the argument as well. Jaehyun put his phone down on the table and put his arm around my shoulder.
“you okay?” he whispered to me. I didn’t say anything as I looked up at him and nodded. He smiled and turn towards the three arguing. He would randomly disagree with one of them and blurt out his own opinion to piss them off. After about 10 mins, Kun decided to break it up and said we should all start heading home. I held Jaehyun’s hand, swinging it back and forth, as we walk out the restaurant and to the cars. I frown up at Jaehyun realizing he had to ride home with Johnny and Doyoung, since they lived together.
“Stop frowning” Jaehyun said chuckling “I’ll call you later when you get home”
“okay” I said softly
Saying our goodbyes to the boys, the rest of us got into the car and dropping Kun and Sicheng off on our way home.
When we got home I texted Jaehyun and went straight to bathroom to get ready for bed. I was about ready to pass out after doing my night routine till I got a facetime call from Jaehyun. We talked for a few hours till eventually we both knocked out and fell asleep while on call.
Fuck I really liked this guy

Like you tell them that your a virgin (idk if that makes sense)
Ohh okay I get it now, thank you so much for your request ❤️
Taeil;
You and Taeil had been together for a while and he started bringing up the topic slowly. This was one of those times. And you were afraid to tel him that you were a virgin, for what ever reason. “Is something on your mind?” He’d ask, sensing that you were thinking about something. You decided just to tell him, as he already knew something was up. “Don’t get me wrong, I do really want to. But, I’m a virgin...so I guess I’m just a bit scared?” You confessed, and his mood softened. “Don’t think that I am rushing you. I understand completely, and when you’re ready is when we’ll do it.”
Johnny;
I’m almost completely positive that Johnny isn’t a virgin. I think he has a decent grasp on his actions in bed. However, you on the other hand did not. In fact you were still a virgin. Knowing that Johnny wasn’t kind of made you insecure in a way. “Oh gosh, don’t be insecure about that. I don’t have the experience in the world trust me.” He’d chuckle. “We can still learn together.”
Taeyong;
Taeyong actually was too, but you always thought that he wasn’t. You always wanted to have sex with Taeyong, but you didn’t know how to approach him about it. “You know you could’ve just asked me, you didn’t have to text me.” Taeyong would chuckle. “Well yeah I guess, it’s just...I’ve never done this before. I didn’t know how to go about any of this.” You sighed. “That’s okay, we can just take it slow, don’t be overwhelmed.
Yuta;
Yuta wanted to for a while, and so did you 100%. But, you were just afraid, most of your friends explained that it hurt the first time. And just the thought of pain made you scared to even try. Yuta kisses your neck as he was on top of you. “Wait.” You said, pushing him off. “What’s wrong?” He’d asked, afraid that he crossed a boundary. “I-is it gonna hurt?” You questioned, your voice just above a shaky whisper. He knew already what that question meant. “I will be so gentle with you, I promise that.” He told you, kissing your hand.
Doyoung;
Doyoung had it on his mind for just a bit, and he wanted to get your opinion on it. You were a bit nervous to have the conversation since you were a virgin, and didn’t know how he’d react to it. “Did you think I would be mad?” Doyoung chuckled a bit looking at you. “I don’t know, I was just embarrassed.” You laughed a bit yourself. “That doesn’t even matter to me, I just want you to be comfortable.”
Jaehyun;
To be honest, you were kind of glad that you were a virgin. So that jaehyun of course could be your first time, and you were sure that it would be great. “Jaehyun, what if I said I was a virgin?” You asked, sitting beside him. He was amused at your random fact, smiling softly at you. “Then it would be okay.” If answered, to which you nodded. “Okay, then what if I said I wanted you to take it?” You asked. “Well, if you’re comfortable with that I can make something happen.” He winked playfully.
Winwin;
Winwin was a virgin himself, and didn’t know you to tell YOU that he was. He felt less manly if he told you, since he thought you had experience. “So I’ve been thinking win.” You said, cuddling closer to him. Winwin looked down at you, stroking your hair as he gave you all of his attention. “Since I’m a virgin, I want you to take it.” You’d say, looking up at him. “You’re a virgin too!?” Winwin would ask, eyes wide in shock. “You’re a virgin?”
Jungwoo;
You and jungwoo were really nervous beginning the intimate part of your relationship. You guys hadn’t really talked about it much, mostly just that you both wanted it. “Have you done this before?” You asked him, as you both sat in your room. “No, I haven’t.” Jungwoo replied softly. “Me either.” I sighed a sigh of relief, that you weren’t the only one. “We can do this together then huh?” Jungwoo smiled. “Yeah.” You smiled.
Mark;
You and mark had planned on doing it that night. Though the both of you just sat lying side by side on his bed, looking up at the cealing. “Am I supposed to start?” Mark asked. “Oh, I’m not sure.” You chuckled nervously. “Hold on,” he said, sitting up on his elbows looking over at you. “Are you a virgin?” He asked, surprised. “Yeah.” You nodded. “Oh, I didn’t know. I thought you had experience.” He said, blushing.
Haechan;
“I’m excited for the day.” Haechan smirked, kissing your cheek. “What day?” You asked, looking back at him. “THE day.” He winked. You chuckled at his eagerness. “I’m not sure why.” You giggled. “I don’t even know what I’m doing.” You shrugged. “You’re a virgin?” He asked, surprised. “Yes.” You replied. “Oh, me too.” He smiled. “I know baby.” You playfully rolled your eyes, pecking his lips.
