Choosing to take the state of Lincoln's wellbeing in the epilogue to mean that Grant got better too, btw. That they healed together, that Grant bettered himself for the sake of his son and learned to love and forgive himself with time. That they still get really competitive over bridge and play fifa, that Grant cried at Lincoln's (second EDIT NO THIRD!!!) wedding, that baby monitors are a thing of the past but calls between them are still frequent long after Lincoln has moved out. That they were both alright!

Hello friend!! This is such a cute idea to go along with the soft!Reader series!! (I put aside my final paper for class so I could post this today o_o)
I guess this is kinda a series now so chronologically it goes Soft!Reader post, Ghost getting secretly married post, then this one!
|| Ghost and Soft!Reader with a Child ||
Warnings: cursing, labor mentions, some angst
Tumblr media
Ghost had been on deployment when you found out you were pregnant
You were shocked an unsure of how Ghost was going to react when he found out
but also really excited
Despite the two of you doing video calls whenever he could, you kept it a secret until he got back from deployment
You put the pregnancy test in a small gift box and wait for him to arrive
You are filled with anxiety all day, worried about what his reaction would be
When he comes in, you can already tell he is extremely tired so you don't want to bombard him immediately
So you hug him when he comes through the door, pull up his balaclava, and give him a few soft kisses
He immediately relaxes, happy to be home
You instruct him to go take a shower and he goes without fuss
When he comes back out in a simple black t-shirt and sweats, his wedding band still attached to its chain hanging from his neck, you feel your heart skip a beat
"Sit down," You instruct
"Awful bossy this evening, aye?" He teases, but does it anyway, small smile on his maskless face
"Hush!"
You present the small box to him, biting your lower lip nervously
He raises an eyebrow, large hands coming up over the box as he shifts his eyes between it and you
He opens it gently, staring at the small device for a moment before his eyes widen
"Your...."
Sets the box aside and immediately stands
"Your being serious?"
You simply nod and his eyes shift down to your stomach before he grabs you into a hug
He would be scared and distant at first, he would need time to process
I do think he would be good with kids
Once you two talk it out, he would become completely on board
Ghost is a girl dad, fight me
Would be so nervous when he goes to appointments with you
He Is so used to the good things in his life being taken away,
When he learns its a girl, he becomes slightly uneasy
He's not sure how he's gonna be with a kid period but knowing its a girl? He is terrified
Nonetheless, he finds himself buying things that he thinks you would like for the baby anyway
would hate it if he had to go back onto deployment before the baby is born
You reassure him you'll be fine and he reassures you he will be back for the birth
An ultrasound picture is placed alongside the picture of you in his breast pocket
Eventually tells his team he's going to have a baby and they are in shock, even more so than before
Imagine you go into labor early and he almost misses it
He shows up still in uniform (minus the weapons bc there isn't anyway he is getting into a hospital with all that on) and black grease paint still smudged around his eyes
But, damnit, he's there
Is scared shitless during labor
He doesn't want anything to happen to either of you
But you deliver the baby and it's handed to him and she looks so small in his hands o(*////▽////*)q
Tears fill his eyes and he feels his cold heart thaw a little more
He gets leave for a little while to take care of you and the baby
He doesn't want to leave you two but you reassure him that you know his work is important
You make him promise to always come back to the two of you
The little girl grows up looking up to Ghost a lot and he feels he doesn't deserve it but loves it anyway
Whenever he comes back, he wants to spend as much time with the two of you as possible
He sends her letters that you read to her before bed
She helps you make care package and includes her drawings
A third picture is put into the pocket, one with all three of you
He brags about all of his daughters accomplishments to his teammates
Imagine one day he decides to surprise her at school when he comes back home
So after you drop her off, you go and pick Ghost up
The two of you go to her school and the teacher sends her to the principal's office
Ghost is waiting there with you, uneasy about being around so many people but when he sees his little girl? He is GONE
She comes in and immediately brights, running to her dad
Immediately drops to his knees to hug her when she comes running at him
Hugs her so close, then stands and goes over and grabs you too
He has never been this happy to be home

hihihi soooo. I want this to involve Kaeya, Xiao, and Dottore (heheh) if that’s okay. Pick whoever u want if only one ! But anyways
What if you’re a member of the armed forces (a knight of Favonius, a member of the millelith, and a fatui agent respectively). And you get injured on the job. Like, injured enough to warrant a hospital stay. Pretty *badly* hurt. What are those three doing, yknow? How do they react? Are they helping? How so? That type of stuff
✦ GENSHIN MEN WHEN YOU GET HURT ✦
Thank you for asking, let's find out.
Pairings: Kaeya, Xiao, Dottore x gn! Reader
♤ Summary: You got hurt and need medical assistance.
♤ Warnings: Severe injury (abdominal stab wound, broken arm, various bruises and cuts), slight yummy angst, soft Dottore
♤ A/N: I know this isn't exactly a request but I'm treating it like a request because I wanna get stuff posted. I'm also really not the best at Kaeya, so forgive me in advance if he's fugly. Enjoy!
Kaeya:
As a knight, you know that when an issue arises in Mondstadt, you’re going to stand on the frontlines for your city. It’s what is expected of you, and what you have accepted for yourself. You don’t mind it, your city is important to you. Your job is important to you. It’s actually how you met your boyfriend, Kaeya, who is also very important to you. Perhaps that’s why when the two of you were out fighting off abyss mages to protect a group of civilians, you threw yourself right in front of him as a shard of ice, summoned by a cryo abyss mage, was sent flying straight towards his chest. Instead of his chest, it impaled you in your stomach, right beneath your ribcage.
It takes him a moment to process what just happened, in an instant everything pauses and he’s focused entirely on you. Needless to say, when he sees you fall to your knees, holding your stomach in agony, he practically rips the remaining mages apart and hurries to tend to you.
Thankfully the wound is not horrifically deep, the distance between you and the mage prevented it from flying fast enough, but you are still bleeding from your stomach, which is rather alarming. He hides his panic though, not wanting to upset you further when you’re already injured. He ties his belt tightly around the wound and picks you up, you’ve never been stabbed before so obviously you’re quite concerned with your injury, because of this he chooses to gaslight you while he rushes to get you back to the city. “It’s fine, I’ve seen way worse! You worry too much.”
Kaeya wants to remain by your side when he does finally get you to a doctor, he is quite irritable when he can’t go back with you but ultimately waits, impatiently so. When you’re all patched up he rushes into the room and gives you a tight, slightly painful hug. When you remind him that you’re freshly injured his face falls and a hurried apology leaves his lips.
The two of you spend the rest of the day laughing and teasing each other about the unfortunate incident, Kaeya is glad it’s already something you can laugh about, but he truthfully feels guilty he let that happen to you when it was such an easy fight. He’ll get you whatever you need until you’re fully recovered.
Xiao:
Honestly, Xiao would just prefer if you called his name before you fought anything. Yes, he knows you’re trained. Yes, he knows you’re strong. But he’s an adeptus and he’s willing to protect you. Why won’t you just utilize that and not put yourself at risk? He doesn’t understand. But he doesn’t ask any questions when he’s called by you in your time of need. He teleports straight to your location, where he finds you gravely injured with multiple gashes and bruises on your body, and a small crowd of ruin guards encircling your fallen figure. He quickly stands in front of you, calculates how much time he has based on the severity of your injuries, and then tears them all to shreds.
As he fights he counts each second that passes, thinking about your blood loss. He manages to defeat them in thirty-one seconds, but he was planning on thirty. He teleports back to you, picks you up, and then teleports you to the nearest hospital. You’re too weak at this point to really register anything so he hands you over to the doctors wordlessly and then leaves you there.
When you’re fixed up and a bit more conscious, you quickly call his name and he meekly appears with a bouquet of flowers he’d gathered while you were getting treated. “For the single second that I let you bleed.” He explains his intention behind the small gift. He’s convinced you’ve probably been irritated at him since you got to the hospital, but you are entirely unsure of what he means. Xiao is such a perfectionist when it comes to keeping you safe, but you’re just grateful he came at all. When you take his gift, you express this and he isn’t sure what to make of it, but he doesn’t wish to make it a bigger deal than he already has so he simply nods and then lectures you for nearly an hour about not calling sooner.
Dottore:
When Dottore hears from an associate that you’ve been injured while out on a mission, he is right on it. He doesn’t ask any questions about your condition, he can figure that out when he finds you. And when he does, he is livid. Whatever opponent you faced completely broke your arm! It doesn’t matter if you were already about to receive treatment, he trusts nobody but himself to help you. As a harbinger, what he says goes so he’s going to take care of it.
While he’s fixing your arm he’s asking you questions about who did this to you. He’s disappointed to hear you already managed to defeat them. He was hoping to have the opportunity to make their death so much longer than the merciful quick bullet you gave them. But, at least they aren’t alive anymore.
Once that’s out of the way, he gives you gentle kisses and hushed words of comfort to take care of you. Really, it’s not that big of a deal to a fatui soldier like yourself and you find his reaction dramatic, but he likes taking care of you and he just has to smother you right now so, tough luck I guess.
He makes sure you take it easy for a while, not allowing you to do anything strenuous. If you happen to argue with him about it, he’ll simply order you to stay home and rest. He’s a harbinger, remember?

heyy l love ur all your touchstarved hcs and I was wondering if you could write anything for ais? if you’ve done him already could you do leander? thank youu <3
GENERAL AIS HCS
Tumblr media
gn!reader | OF COURSEE my babygirl & thank u omg IM GLAD U GUYS LIKE THEM !!🫶 i'll probably make a separate leander post + posts for the others too tbh
Tumblr media
you see it in the demo but he's so so happy to see you get along with princess + any other pets 🙁 personally i need a scene where they go to you instead of him and he pretends to be offended.
"after all i've done for you?" he asks before squatting beside you. his eyes flicker over to you before he joins in petting them. "guess i can't blame you, though."
ais teaching them tricks and grinning and saying good job and laughing when they jump on him for a reward. him teaching princess a trick and secretly being very excited to show you because he wants to see your reaction🙁💔
ONE LAST PET NOTE but i need to know what other names he's thought of because he totally looks like he'd give a big scary pet the silliest name ever. peak entertainment for him
if you know any other languages he'd love to learn some phrases!! yes i mean insults for others and nicknames for you. ais loves using them on like,, leander,, who's like What? so he can go "Wouldn't you like to know."
would be very amused if you dyed your hair to match his. calls you a copycat but if you threatened to redye it he'd get more annoying (said lovingly)
does the thing where he leans in really close as if he's gonna kiss you then doesn't. he reaches to grab something behind you and moves away while grinning
he likes listening to you talk about your interests and makes sure to remember important details. casually osmosis's (???) your interests and opinions even if he's never touched it himself
pulling him closer by his clothes or necklaces gets him. Interested.
the pocky game. he takes huge bites and kisses you or gets so incredibly close everyone's just like oh shut up. takes the stick that's a centimeter long between his fingers and goes "i think we got an inch left"
the type of guy who if you wordlessly hugged him would be like "miss me that much?" but have a noticeably firm hold around you because he Is a little worried about why you're hugging him. if you sincerely say yes, his eyes and voice soften when he says "well, good thing i'm here now."
he's confident and totally trusts you but he also finds it incredibly amusing to walk up and kiss you or wrap an arm around your waist if he sees someone try hitting on you. asks "hey, babe, who's this?" while staring right at them. Won't be nice if the person's an ass though
not afraid of pda. you could literally be clinging on to him and he wouldn't mind.
one of the guys who'd carry your silly looking bag without hesitation
you could say "oh try this," about a silly little heart headband and he'd let you put it on as long as he can give You one. "now we match," he says with a grin. take a picture together and set it as his lock screen and he won't change it for ages
looks like a guy who will drape himself on top of you if you're in bed or on the couch. the type of guy who when you say you need to go pee says okay i'll come with you before you shove him
^ likes it when you hold him and just play with his hair or trace things along is back. he plays that game where he tries to guess what you're writing and is ? weirdly good at it ?
if you made a playlist for him he'd listen to it whenever he misses you
also if you have spotify he always checks your profile. you say "i need to know who's liking my playlists" and he's like yeah they must have a crush on you. it's literally him though
sends you shit like this and says you @ me / us / etc because he's annoying and also correct. ais at the peak of the "you want me so bad" jokes would be on top of the world

Epilogue
I know we've already said our farewells but after todays BangtanB Admin 2 talked me into writing another tiny post because vmin. Truly as much as we weren't ready for the OT4 live, we hadn't been ready to get this BB so quickly, to see and hear them say goodbye to each other, or for Tae to quite literally apologise to Jimin for not being able to see him off the next day while Jimin told him he had nothing to be sorry for since he was going first.
Tumblr media
Seeing these two say goodbye to each other, it broke my heart on so many levels. Vmin being vmin aside, they are chingu and so incredibly close with each other, mean so much to each other, and yet because of damn enlistment they got separated. I'm glad though that Namjoon has Tae close to him, just like Namjoon said to Tae himself, and that they'll be able to see each other occasionally and perhaps have meals together, though they aren't training together. And before someone asks why Tae and Namjoon didn't use the buddy system like Jimin and JK did and tries to spin some annoying story in our messages, it's because Namjoon is too old for it.
Another tiny tangent I'd like to go on before I continue is that I implore all of you, and especially shippers of one particular ship, to stop romanticising the enlistment experience and all it entails. Enlistment isn't a fun little trip or vacation, it's an unjust gruelling and extremely hard time for all enlisted men. One of the translators for the English edition of the BTS book was asked by ARMY to translate Namjoon's letter on weverse but he declined to do so and gave a very nuanced and important explanation as to why. Please go and read it here. And before anyone comes (again) into our messages and claims I would speak differently if vmin went together, no I would not. This moment in their lives, the enlistment period, it fucking sucks. Plain and simple. We've seen what can happen with idols during enlistment, just look at Taemin's experience, so really, there is nothing nice and fun and chill about it. Or remember the incident with Seokjin and the nurse, hell knows what could've happened. It's hard and awful and it's unfair that after all that they have done, the members were put into a position where they knew there was no way they could not go, even if they would've been given an exemption because that's the kind of pressure they're under. We've seen how uncomfortable his shaved head made Jimin, how sad and devastated Jimin and JK looked in their final lives and in this BB. So set aside your delulu glasses and look at reality, especially as foreigners. We know nothing so let's not act like we know anything.
Anyway, seeing JK approach Namjoon, pet his head and then Namjoon turn around, his eyes turning all soft and fond as he realised it's JK and then enveloped him in a tight hug...and to think that's the hyung because of which JK even joined BH in the first place. My heart. And Namjoon, too, was sad that he wouldn't be able to see JK off the next day either.
Tumblr media
It was sad that we couldn't see Hobi, Seokjin, and Yoongi but we knew that would be the case from past experience. But it was nice to see JK sitting in the car talking and being obviously sad and then Hobi's hand appeared to pat his head to comfort him and JK closed his eyes to enjoy the moment and calm his emotions. Truly the bond the hyungs and maknaes have is beautiful.
Tumblr media
But with that the Tannies are all gone now and it'll be six months on the dot until Seokjin will be released and come back to us for FESTA 2024. But the members repeatedly said they've prepared lots of exciting things for us so we can look forward to that.
Tumblr media
And with this, we say farewell and we hope to see you again healthy and happy and doing well.
As for our blog, with Admin 2's plans for a BL break, we've started watching Love in the Air since it's a very popular BL. Once we'll finish it, we'll let you know what we think of it.

Chapter Fifteen: The Forum
Alhaitham has the looks and the smarts. He will also be the stand-in CEO for his grandfather's company for a year.
But, he's been mysteriously cursed to turn into a cat every night since his eighteenth birthday… until he meets you, an employee at his grandfather's company, who rescues him as a cat and changes him back with one kiss.
Alhaitham/You

Chapter index at the end of chapter one
When your alarm goes off that morning, Alhaitham and Childe are the first to pop into your mind. Did Childe turn back? Is he okay? Did Alhaitham learn anything new about the curse? You've just finished getting dressed when you hear a loud knock at your door. Once you open it, you see Childe and Alhaitham. Childe's wearing Alhaitham's clothes and seeing him in an aesthetic different from his usual colourful style is a little strange. Alhaitham, on the other hand, looks fine as always.
“Mornin', Ms. Cat Collector."
“Very funny,” you deadpan, letting the men inside. Then, you and Childe give each other a quick hug. “Glad you’re back.”
“Well, I was under good care.”
You look from Childe to your boyfriend. Then, with a slight smile, you say, “I guess you two bonded last night.”
Childe puts a hand over his heart. “It was an emotional moment."
“I told him everything we know so far,” Alhaitham says in his usual calm voice.
You nod and turn to Childe. “Did you talk to Lumine?”
“I sent her a text this morning."
“So… what happened yesterday night?”
“Beats me.” Childe sighs. “I told your CEO boyfriend I was talking with my mom when it happened.”
You glance at Alhaitham, who subtly shakes his head. Guess he didn’t find out what the conversation was about.
“...DId you call your mom back?” you ask. “She called you multiple times yesterday night, didn’t she?”
“It’s nothing important,” Childe says, not looking at you. “Don’t worry about it.” Then, in a cheerier tone, “So, shall we head to work?”
You raise a brow. “Someone's eager.”
“Well, it’s not every day you get a ride with the CEO.”
A short while later, you, Alhaitham, and Childe are in the lobby and are joined by Alhaitham's secretary. As you make your way to the car, you can't ignore this feeling that you're being watched. You stop and turn around, but there's no one in sight.
“Is something wrong?” Alhaitham asks.
"...I think we were being watched." Then, as Alhaitham subtly looks around, you say, "Maybe I'm imagining things."
“Hey!” Childe calls from the car. “What’s the holdup?”
Alhaitham follows you toward the car, occasionally looking over his shoulder. Yet, he sees nothing out of the ordinary.
◆◆◆
Lumine is finishing her design assignment when Childe's message from this morning comes back to haunt her: Sorry, Lulu. I was caught up with something yesterday.
She'd asked if everything was fine. When the only reply she got was a smiley emoji and a thumbs-up, she didn't reply. It's not like he told her what was happening, so she has nothing to say. Lumine remembers what you told her over the phone yesterday night. Childe wouldn't treat someone he's interested in the same as everyone else. Well, Lumine doesn't feel any different from everyone else. She doesn't feel that much different from… you.
Over the years, she'd seen how close you and Childe got. She was sure that Childe had a crush on you, but he would deny it every time she'd asked. While that doesn't matter anymore, Lumine wonders why Childe bothers still hanging out with her when he's already in the workforce. She's a poor graduate student working part-time. There are so many sophisticated women out there.
“Should I be surprised you’re still reading in the same spot where we first met, Lumine?”
She quickly turns around at the familiar male voice. “Kaeya?” Her senior smiles at her, and she smiles back. “What in the world are you doing here?”
Kaeya was in his last year when Lumine entered her first year of graduate school, and they met in this campus library. They both wanted the same book, and he eventually let her have it first.
“I’m here for a seminar.” Kaeya sits in front of her. “I thought of texting you, but why not a surprise visit instead?”
“And what if you didn’t find me?”
“I took a chance. And, I guess luck is on my side today.” Lumine starts putting away her laptop when Kaeya asks, “Are you free right now? I’d like to treat you to coffee.”
Lumine smiles and nods. At least it’ll take her mind off of Childe.
Kaeya takes Lumine to a nearby campus coffee shop, the place where they once had a group study session with mutual friends. Despite Lumine's insistence, Kaeya still paid for their drinks.
"I'm your senior," Kaeya laughs. "I should be treating you, not the other way around."
Once they sit across from each other with their drinks, he says, "This place brings back memories."
“Don’t tell me you miss the poor student life.”
Kaeya shrugs. “Being a student has its pros and cons.”
Lumine sips her drink. “I think it has more cons right now.”
“Something bothering you, little junior?”
“What makes you say that?”
“Well… you don’t look too happy. Call it a hunch, but it seems something’s on your mind.”
Lumine has never opened up to Kaeya about her personal problems. Sure, she sought him out when she was having trouble academically. But she isn’t sure if she wants to open up to him about… boy problems and maybe even her insecurities.
“I’m always happy to lend an ear, Lumine,” Kaeya continues. “Whatever it may be, as long as you’re comfortable talking about it.”
Well, maybe it won't hurt to get a guy’s perspective.
However, just before she can say anything, her phone buzzes. She quickly looks at it and sees a message from Childe: We had Takoyaki at the office today. Reminded me of the ones we had together a few nights ago. Want me to save you some and drop it off for you?
Unbeknownst to Lumine, Kaeya glances from her and then to her phone. He can't see the message, but he takes a guess. “...Is it a guy?”
Lumine quickly looks up and slips her phone inside her pocket. "...He's my sister's friend. And mine too. But I guess I've been getting some mixed signals from him. It's been kinda bothering me since I'm not sure what to think about it."
“Do you like this guy?”
“...I don’t know. But when I’m with him, it feels like it’s going in that direction, and I’m not sure what I really want.”
“I’m just speculating… but maybe both of you are unsure.”
“You think?" Lumine asks. "But, I thought that if a guy likes a girl, it’s rare they would be aloof about it.”
“That’s true. What I just said was thinking from a positive side. You could also think that this guy is keeping his options open.”
Childe wouldn’t do that. Would he?
“How well would you say you know this guy?” Kaeya continues.
“We pretty much grew up together. But he knew my sister first.”
“Ah…”
“But she’s with someone now."
"Could it be that you're unsure because you don't know how he feels? If this guy confessed to you, what would you say?"
As soon as Kaeya sees a faint but visible blush on Lumine's cheeks, he has the answer he needs. But, regardless, he waits for her answer.
“That’s way too sudden. I… I would need time to think about it!”
To her surprise, Kaeya smiles. "Listen, I'm hosting a beach party next weekend. So why don't you come down and have a little fun? Diluc will be running the bar, and you'll see some other friends."
Kaeya pulls out his phone. Soon, Lumine hears her phone buzz. This time, it's a message from Kaeya. He sent her a bright, colourful poster of the evening beach party.
“Bring your sister and Aether along, too.”
A party, huh?
◆◆◆
That afternoon, Alhaitham is pacing around his office with his phone in his hand. His wireless earphones are snug in his ears.
“What do you mean you’re not going to have a say in the company’s next project?” his grandfather asks.
It’s almost time for the leadership team to review the idea submissions for the company’s next big film project. Alhaitham is supposed to be a part of it, but he decided to drop out.
“Ah… is it because she is participating?”
The last thing Alhaitham wants you to think is that he's favouring you because of the relationship. Besides, it's not like your relationship will remain a secret forever. Rumours would spiral out of control if you got chosen and people found out he was part of the judging panel. Alhaitham knows no one can control what other people say, so don't give them a chance to say something you don't want them to.
"Yes. It would put both of us in an uncomfortable and awkward position if people found out that I was on the team that decided the next project."
His grandfather sighs. “That’s true. I suppose people will look back and say you were favouring her if she got chosen.”
“I don't want to give her a hard time.”
“Well, I understand. It’s a logical reason. But, I guess that would mean you’re seeing her with the intention of marrying her.”
“Is that all you can think of?” Alhaitham deadpans. “Marriage?”
“Is it wrong of me to want a grandbaby?”
No. But Alhaitham also has an agenda of his own. “I’m seeing her with the intent of taking this relationship seriously. If we do get married, we’ll let it happen naturally.”
After getting off the phone with his grandfather, Alhaitham heads out of his office and takes the elevator to the lobby. Once he does, he sees Childe, Ayato, Thoma, and a small camera crew. Ayato must've been here for a project. As soon as the men see each other, Ayato waves him over.
“What a nice surprise,” Ayato says.
Once the camera team leaves, Childe says, "Well, the cat crew's all here."
“...I guess you told him everything,” Alhaitham says to Childe.
"Not quite," Ayato says, looking at Childe. "Frankly, I'm still interested in the conversation between you and your mother. That could be the key to why you changed."
Childe crosses his arms. “Since both of you think that’s so important, long story short, my parents are moving back to Snezhnaya. I’m not going with them. If that’s all it takes for someone to turn into a cat, we're all screwed.”
“Oh, wow. What’s everyone doing here?” You’ve just walked into the building with a cup of coffee. “Secret meeting?” you joke.
Alhaitham swears he sees something move out of the corner of his eye. When he looks in that direction, nothing seems out of place. Maybe he imagined it, but then he remembers you mentioning the feeling of being watched this morning.
“Something like that,” Ayato says, playing along. “The Strays are thinking of their next move on what to do with the curse.”
"Didn't think you'd come up with our band name that quickly," Childe says. He nudges Alhaitham. "But this guy ain't a stray. I guess you can say he's already adopted."
Alhaitham looks at him. “I guess I’m the secret member.”
Ayato laughs. "I never expected you to play along, Alhaitham. I guess you have a sense of humour behind your icy facade, after all."
Childe snickers. “He’s definitely a tsundere.”
“Sounds like someone watches too much animation," Alhaitham says.
“What? I’m a proud geek,” Childe huffs.
“Seems like The Strays have good chemistry,” you say, looking at the three bickering men in front of you. “That’s a good sign.”
“Ayato, we should go,” Thoma says. “You have a schedule coming up.”
“Right.” Then, Ayato smiles at the group. “Well, if you’ll excuse me.”
Thoma walks beside Ayato as they leave the building and asks, "It seems like you're getting along well with them."
“I would say so. All of us have a common goal, after all.”
“...But, regarding her, are you… okay?”
Ayato glances at his friend. “...Are you asking if I’m okay being around her?”
Thoma nods. "To be honest, I wanted to ask her to stay away. I was afraid she would bring up bad memories."
Ayato admits there's still a sense of… nostalgia when he looks at you. But you're not her. Besides, he knows he cannot live in the past forever. He needs to move on.
“There’s no need for her to stay away,” Ayato says calmly. Before he gets in the car, he looks Thoma in the eyes. “She is a friend.”
Thoma gives him a small smile and nods.
Back in the building, you and Childe part ways with Alhaitham. However, it doesn’t take long for you to receive a text from him.
Catman: If you sense anything strange, call me.
Anything strange? You suddenly remember the feeling you got this morning. Did Alhaitham sense it just now? After you hit a reply, you notice an uncharacteristically serious expression on Childe’s face. He’s staring at his phone.
“Hey,” you say. He looks at you. “Everything okay?”
Childe slides his phone into his pocket. “Do you know someone named Kaeya?”
It takes you a moment, but the name finally rings a bell. “Oh, yeah. He’s Lumine’s senior. Why?”
“...He invited her to a beach party. She also said that he invited you and Aether, too.”
“And is that something to be all down in the dumps for?” You chuckle. “Hang on a minute… are you… are you jealous, Childe?”
The elevator doors open, and you and Childe step inside just as he points to himself. “Me? Jealous?" He presses for yours and his floor. "I’m not that petty." The doors close. "I’m not your CEO boyfriend who didn’t want his girlfriend to hug a cute, innocent cat.”
You smile. “Well, someone’s defensive.”
After a moment of silence, Childe sighs softly. "Who is this Kaeya guy anyway? I’ve never heard of him, and I’ve been friends with you and Lulu for years.”
"I only met him a few times, so I don't know much about him. But from what I remember, he's a fun guy. He tutored Lumine at one point."
“He tutored her?”
You glance at him. “Yeah… They had a few private sessions.”
“Private sessions?” Childe quickly clears his throat. “Are… are you going to go?”
"A beach party does sound fun. Why don’t you go with Lumine?”
“...It’s an evening party.”
“...Ah.”
A pause.
“Do you think I should tell her? About… the situation, I mean. I don’t want to tell her because I don’t want to risk the secret getting out. I know Lumine can keep a secret, but I'm afraid it might accidentally slip out, you know.”
“Answer me honestly, Childe. Do you like her?”
Childe likes being with Lumine. He enjoys her company just as much as yours. He also likes teasing and messing around with her. However, Childe has never heard Lumine talk about other guys besides Aether, so this is a foreign feeling. But maybe he's bothered by Kaeya's intentions; maybe Childe just wants to look out for her. Whatever it is, Childe admits he feels a little annoyed by Kaeya. Does this mean he likes Lumine in a different way than he likes you?
"If you like her, you should tell her. Or else she will get the wrong idea, and then it'll be too late. I don’t think you want to be a part of The Strays forever.”
The elevator doors open on Childe’s floor.
Childe smiles. “Who knows? Maybe I’m going to be the Professional Bachelor now.”
“Oh, I doubt that.”
Childe gives you a wave and steps out. Then, the doors slide shut.

It's almost time to get off work, and you've been feeling accomplished for what you've done. Your team proposal for the company's project is almost complete. It just needs some finishing touches. You're heading to the lounge to get snacks when you see some employees coming down from the opposite hall. You happen to overhear their conversation.
“Yeah… it’s scary. There’s apparently some people from our company on that forum.”
Forum? What forum?
“Do you think it’s run by some noisy tabloid reporter?”
“I don’t know… but some of the rumours on there turned out to be true!”
Their conversation is now out of their earshot, and you feel a little uneasy. That’s when you hear Alhaitham say your name.
“What brings you here?” you ask, smiling.
“I had a meeting.” He hands you an expensive drink and a snack you recognize from one of those high-end bakeries. Then, he gives you a soft smile. “I thought you might like this on one of your breaks.”
You take it from him. “Why thank you, Mr. CEO. You read my mind.” Then, you say jokingly, “I don’t have to give anything in return, right?”
Alhaitham slides a hand inside his pocket. He has a slightly mischievous smile as he quietly says, "Your love is all I need."
You pretend to gag. “Cliché.” But then, with a smile, you say just as quietly, “I would gladly give you all my love in the world, Mr. CEO.”
Alhaitham is clearly not expecting this flirtatious response, and a faint but visible blush appears on his cheeks. He quickly composes himself, however. Then, his expression turns serious. “The text I sent you earlier today.”
“Ah, right… did something happen?”
“...I thought I saw something. I wouldn’t have thought much of it, but I remembered you told me you felt like you were being watched this morning.”
“...I really hope it’s nothing.” A slight pause. “I overheard something about a forum… apparently there’s some information about people from the company?”
“I’m aware. The most recent incident is what brought it to the leadership’s attention.”
“...What happened?”
“There was a statement that a company employee was stealing funds for illegal activities.”
Your eyes widen. “...Did they have evidence?”
“There was. So, we’re looking into it.”
“Putting it positively, it sounds like this person did the company a favour.”
“It does sound like they did a good deed,” Alhaitham says. “If only there weren’t other information on that site.”
“That doesn’t sound good….”
"We had the security team look into this site, and information, including the private lives of employees, have been leaked. Employees at this company aren't the only ones being targeted."
You raise a brow. “It would be too much for one person. Sounds like it's a group effort. But what are they trying to accomplish? Employees aren’t celebrities.”
“...That’s a good question. But whatever their motives are… not all of them are with good intentions.” Alhaitham almost takes your hand but stops himself in time. “So… be careful.”
You nod. “You as well.”
◆◆◆
“Have you thought about what you want to do after graduation, Lumine?”
Lumine came to seek her professor's help for an assignment that evening when her professor brought up an unexpected question. Well, maybe it isn't that unexpected, considering she's in her last semester. So, it's definitely time she starts thinking about her future plans.
"Sort of… I'm interested in making character designs for games and stuff. So it's a little different than what I'm doing now."
Her professor takes out a colourful poster from her drawer. “Well, you’re in luck. The university’s participating in a regional design competition where your work will be evaluated by renowned companies looking to hire. It’s the latest initiative to help graduates get jobs.”
“A competition?”
“Are you interested?”
Lumine looks down at the poster. She is. But… what if she's not good enough? While she doesn't think she's bad at what she does, she definitely doesn't think she's amazing like her classmates. Lumine describes herself as average. Just talented enough to get by or at least… survive.
"You don't have to answer now," her professor says. "But let me know by the end of the week if you're interested."
Lumine nods and puts the poster and her assignment into her bag.
As she heads for the bus stop, she glances at her phone. Aether had already said he was going to the party. You've also agreed. The only person who hasn't said anything is Childe. It's strange, she thinks. She thought he would jump at the opportunity to attend a party. She never thought he would be silent.
Just as she gets to the bus stop, her phone buzzes, and her heart suddenly beats a little faster. But one look at her phone and her jitteriness turn into an entirely different feeling.
Isn’t this your sister?
It's a text from one of her classmates. When Lumine opens the message, she sees a screenshot of two women. Lumine has to look closely to see which one you are, as you and the other women look like twins.
She looks SO much like Ayato’s ex. Omg.
Ayato’s…ex? Before Lumine can even question or process what’s happening, she sees another message.
Is she dating Ayato?
And then comes another photo. Lumine wasn't there, but she's sure this is taken at the Awards Night with how everyone's dressed and the venue. But this time, it's you and Ayato, with him holding your hand and you looking back.
What is going on?

3x12, Jamie edition, part 4.
Tumblr media
Jamie is basically ruling this game at this point. My wonderful, wonderful boy. All this training. All that development through the seasons. I am so fucking proud of him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know what this reminds me of? "Hey Jamie! JAMIE! 🖕"
Tumblr media
It was what, 1x022? 1x03? When Ted wanted Jamie to be like this and Jamie was like, "Is this a fucking joke? But no one is laughing. I'm not fucking doing this." And now? NOW??? LOOK AT HIM GO!!!!
They fit sooo many callbacks into this ep. I love it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamie in the center of attention again. Jamie celebrating with Sam and the entire team cheering them on. Beard running towards them. I want to grab them all in one huge hug.
Just what, a day or two ago a was begging for them to win, in a post about how important it is for me for Jamie to score? They did it. They fucking did it. ;_; I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ted celebrating with his previous team. Ted celebrating with this team. And look at Jamie. My boy.
Guys. How am I supposed to just let this show go? The thing that Jason created... Tears, just tears. The only piece of media that I was able to consume in 2021 and that got me through that year after my parents died. My goodness, it's everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He. Him. I'm gonna ignore the circumstances bc fuck that. Jamie deserves better.
But while I'm at it, Jamie needs therapy just as much as Roy. With his depression and PTSD it would only be right. Jamie probably needs meds, too. I want him to get better (and remove his abuser from him! Who fucking thought this was a good idea? Who thought to "forgive your abuser" is the right thing to do? I have questions to the writing room.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Knee to knee, kiss already. I can feel so much Brett in this Roy, but I'm glad the boys are having fun together and seem to genuinely be very good friends.
Ooh, you make me live Whatever this world can give to me It's you, you're all I see Ooh, you make me live now, honey
That kind of thing. :) Now I can make edits, hehe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamie being good friends with Rebecca? Are you kidding me? This is perfect. The height difference so that he has to tip toe :')
Also, Keeley in sneakers instead of high heels is such a wonderful development. Hell yeah, babe! Let your feet rest!
Tumblr media
Roy was turning so for a second I thought he was going to join the hug and hug Jamie from behind. *deep sigh* Almost a kiss this season, almost a romantic hug. If only.
Tumblr media
Soft boy. :') Such uncharacteristic, unusual look but yeah :')
Tumblr media
So you can canonize this but not RJ and/or RJK? Really? Where did all the talk about Roy and Jamie being the best couple of the show go? Phil? Phil, I have questions.
But hey, for better or for worse, by weird feeling of Roy, Jamie, and Keeley all staying single seems to be working? Sure, they showed them all together, we can take it any way we like it. But I definitely see it more like Roy x Jamie at best and Keeley is focusing on her work. Roy and Jamie are sitting next to each other, very, VERY close & Keeley is a bit away from them. Hugging Phoebe :') She still loves that girl, obviously.
Lots to process, but if it IS the end of the show, I can basically make anything I want out of this. Which is still better than what they could've done, for which I'm still a tiny bit grateful. Didn't ruin it completely and thanks for that.
This isn't final thoughts, just some after the first watch. Gotta think on it and sleep on it and live for like a week on it.

Characters: thoma
Genre: sagau, no gendered pronouns
TW: fear
1.6k words
AN: The Thoma centered fic I promised! (Ignore the fact that it's in the wrong series)
AN: I hate posting on mobile
Thoma watched you with your head down, clutching your little bag. When reached out his hand to help you, you practically jumped away from him. You held yourself like a kicked puppy, unlike how confident you were with the Arataki Gang. You wore a mask, just like Shinobu.
    “So, you go by Goldie?"
You nodded. “Itto started, now everyone calls me that.”
"My name's Thoma. I work for the Kamisato clan, I'll help show you around. I see you've got a mask, where'd you get it?"
"Shinobi gave it to me." Your eyes crinkled as you traced the grooves of the design.
“It's beautiful." It was, the pattern swirling around your cheeks. "Do you always wear it?”
“Yes, unless I’m with the gang.” Several emotions swept over your face, not giving him time to decode any of them.
    “May I ask why?”
You laughed bitterly. “Same reason anyone wears a mask. So others can’t recognize me.”
He backtracked quickly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to intrude.”
“No, it’s alright. I’m just … nervous.” You tugged the edge of your kimono.
    “Is there any particular reason?”
“I try my best to stay away from large groups of people, for safety reasons."
“And now you’ll be staying at the Kamisato estate.” Thoma said, thinking. “I’ll see what I can do.”
    “Thank you. You seem trustworthy.”
Warmth flooded his body as he processed your words. Why was such a simple phrase making him feel like this? He gathered himself quickly. "I'm glad you think so."
"So, when will I start work?"
"Tomorrow. Today's for getting used to the place."
"Ok."
There was silence for a moment before Thoma spoke. "Do you like animals?" You looked at him and he quickly clarified. "Dogs and cats, I mean."
You nodded. "Yeah, why?"
He scratched his neck nervously. "Well if you want, tomorrow we could head to town. There's a place with tons of furry animals, we could feed them."
"Do you have time?"
"No need to worry about that, I'll figure it out."
"Alright, I'll take you up on your offer." You relaxed and smiled.
You saw the Kamisato Estate up ahead. The guards caught your attention.
"Halt. Thoma, who are you with." The guard towered above you and Thoma.
"A new servant. They've been cleared by Ayato, so there's no need to worry."
"Ayato doesn't do the clearances" He glared at you and you subconsciously shuffled closer to Thoma.
He noticed and placed himself between you and the other man. "They're a special case. If you like, you could always bring it up with Lord Ayato." You marveled at his ability to stay calm.
"Alright, alright. You're free to go." He stepped aside. You could feel his stare boring into you back as you and Thoma passed. You sighed. This felt like the sort of thing that would be a problem in the future.
"Mora for your thoughts?"
"Just don't like soldiers. They make me nervous." You hugged your bag closer to your chest.
Thoma made a mental note to tell the butler to assign a shift away from the guards. Plus your mask…based on what you've told him you probably wouldn't have a chance to take it off if you had a roommate. Maybe he could get you a separate room, though the only free rooms in the estate were tiny-
"So where will I be staying?"
"I'm working on it right now. What's the most important to you?"
"A separate place to sleep."
"Alright. Does it matter how big it is?"
"No, I really don't care."
"Ok. There's a free room here." He led you to the servants quarters and showed you the room.
It was bare and dusty and barely had enough space to lay a futon, but it was a room all to yourself. "This'll work, thank you!"
He looked at you in surprise. "Is this really enough?" You nodded. "Alright then, I'll start cleaning then."
You shook your head. "No, you have enough work already. I'll do it. Just show me where the cleaning supplies are."
He did and you started cleaning. He came by half an hour later.
"Are you sure you don't need any help, I'm taking a break right now."
You wiped the sweat off your face with your free hand as you stopped scrubbing the floor. "Exactly, a break! Go eat, get tea, or something." You scolded. "You don't need to work all the time, you know? You do so much already."
"You think so?" He tried to keep his voice calm despite his flustered state, and it worked enough, you didn't notice.
"Of course! Everyone knows how hard working you are. Or they're stupid." This was common knowledge, right? You looked up to see Thoma blushing bright red. "Are you ok?"
He turned away and scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, I just… don't get this much praise often."
You bit back a grin. "People don't tell you that you're a miracle worker? That you hold this whole place together? That you have a cute smile?"
"Wait, what was the last one?" He turned even redder. "You're just messing with me!"
You laughed. "A little, but it's all true."
He sighed. "Are you always like this?"
"No, You're just easy to tease. Plus, you deserve to have your ego fed a little."
You politely ignored his lack of a reply, instead continuing to clean. "Where are the extra futons?"
"Just down to the hall." He left. He probably had work to do, or maybe he had taken your advice and gotten some food.
You wiped the floor dry and stood back to check your handiwork. The room was sparkling clean now, you noted with pride.
"Excuse me." You moved out of the way to see someone with their arms wrapped around the futon in front of them. Thoma's head peeked out from behind the futon. "Where do you want me to put this?"
"I asked you where it was, not to bring it here!"
"Oh, sorry. Do you want me to bring it back?"
"No, you just didn't need to do it for me."
"I wanted to." He smiled boyishly.
"Thank you. Just drop it where ever"
He placed it gently and pushed it against the back wall. "Is here good?"
You nodded. "Thanks a lot."
"No problem." He pulls out a timepiece. "Break's over, see you later."
You waved. "Sorry for wasting your break."
"You didn't. I like talking with you."
The knock at the door woke you the next morning. You stretched, feeling well rested. The futons in the Kamisato Estate were much softer than the Arataki Gang's. You pulled on your mask and opened the door to see Thoma standing outside holding a parcel.
"Here's your uniform. Did you sleep well?"
"Yep!" You smiled, your eyes crinkling above your mask. "So what will I be doing?"
"Breakfast is in thirty minutes, and you'll be shadowing me today. Then, we can see where you'd fit in best."
"Ok, I'll get dressed. Could you stay for a bit? I'm still not used to Inazuman clothing."
"Of course! Just call me in when you need help."
You closed the door and unfolded the garment. It was much more complicated than the simple outfit the gang had given you. You succeeded in pulling it on, but couldn't figure out how to tie it. "Thoma…"
"Need help? I'm coming in." He closed the door behind him before standing in front of you. "So, what can I help with?"
You showed him the issue and he started adjusting it. He circled around you, straightening the neck, crossing the collar, reaching into the fabric to tie the knots, clearly used to this sort of thing. His gaze was respectfully focused only on his work, ignoring your body. He stepped back to take a look at his work.
"You look great!" He smiled.
"Thanks."
"Now let's head down before we miss breakfast." He led you through a maze of halls to the kitchen. Servants who were already eating looked up from the food when you arrived. "This is the new hire, Goldie."
You waved nervously.
"Izumi, Chiyo, can we sit here?" He gestured at the chairs next to the two girls and they nodded.
You sat, taking a protein of fish, soup, and rice.
"You're cute!" One of the girls said. "Are you shy?" She tapped your mask.
"Maybe he's on the run, using his mask to hide from the Tenryo commission." The other giggles.
Your eyes widened in surprise.
"Chiyo stop, you're scaring him!" The first girl- Izumi- chided, swatting Chiyo's arm.
You buried your head in your bowl to hide your face. You ate quickly, trying to ignore their joking comments. The end of breakfast was called and you followed Thoma out.
"How do you like being teased?" He asked jokingly.
You just groaned in reply.
As you followed him around it quickly became clear that you were a jack of all trades. You learned everything easily, the tools always cooperative. You even learned to dress Ayaka, with her beautifully complicated kimono.
"We can put you anywhere, really." Thoma said, his hand to his chin. He suddenly grabbed his head.
"What's wrong?"
"Headache." He groaned.
"You had it this whole day, didn't you?" His little sighs throughout the day showed his pain.
"Yes." He didn't even argue. Good.
"I'll make tea." You walked off, not even giving him the opportunity to talk back. You returned moments later with a steaming cup of tea. "Drink up."
He took it, expecting something bitter, but the tea was mellow and sweet. His headache melted away, and he felt more relaxed than he had in weeks. He hummed his approval. "Where did you get the herbs for this?"
You gestured vaguely towards the courtyard. "They're just lying around."
"If it's not too much trouble, could you make this for me tomorrow?"
"Of course! You've helped me so much, it's the least I could do to pay you back." The sun caught your hair as you smiled and you looked angelic, at least to Thoma.

Doctor Who: Redacted
So, more than a year after the release of this audio series, I've decided to give it a go. I've listened to the trailer and so far it's great! I'll give each episode a review and publish it all when I'll have listened to the whole piece.
If you don't wanna get spoiled, you might want to skip the ep by ep review straight to the end of the post to read my overall opinion on the series.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Episode One: SOS
The episodes are pretty short, so I felt like this one went very quickly. Nothing much happens however there's already so much mystery and interrogations, I'm already hooked! There's also quite an important amount of background development for at least one the main characters. I find it really easy to like them from this first episode only since they are written and acted so naturally. I already love Cleo, whom I guess is the main character. Shawna and Abby are just a lovely little funny duet that works really well, and oh my god, Shawna's clearly in love with Abby, I can't wait to hear more about that.
I liked that L.I.N.D.A. was mentioned since the setting is really similar to this iconic story and it kind of makes it canon that the L.I.N.D.A. organisation survived the Love and Monsters events.
Also, oh my my my, I LOVE Rani I can't wait to hear more of her in the next episodes, I didn't know she was in this!
Episode 2: Hysteria
Oh this one was great as well! Certainly not as good as the first one in terms of character work, but there's a lot happening!
The references to the previous events from the TV show are great but also so frightening because you can really see the consequences of these events on the lives of the direct witnesses. I guess the two characters we met so far are the ones we see in the actual episodes (that journalist girl in Partners in Crime and that doctor who gets interviewed at the end of Smith and Jones). The latter one's story is pretty sad, I wish I could have given him a hug :(
Can't wait to hear the next one!
Episode 3: Lost
Oooooh some answers! But more questions...
It's really getting a lot more mysterious and I'm completely involved in the plot!
I don't have much more to say at this point, let's see what Episode 4 brings!
Episode 4: Angels
Yay! A whole episode referencing Blink! The return of Larry! With clothes hopefully this time!
Apparently he's not married to Sally, as the end of Blink pointed towards a romance between the two characters, but that's fine.
He said the Doctor's turning against them. What does it meeeaaaaan???
It's great to have the girls altogether in one place, even though now they seem to be in a bad position... I'm turning on the next one right away, I need to know what happens next!
Episode 5: Interrogation
I'm glad it was just UNIT because now we got to have Kate again and that is GREAT!
Also, Cleo is such a badass, she slayed this whole episode.
The tension kept going up throughout every interrogation until the climax, and just when you thought the episode couldn't be more interesting than it already was, this enigmatic guy comes in and makes Cleo speak out her bad bitch speech.
Episode 6: Recruits
A lot happens in there! Finally the Doctor appears briefly, the team is arguing, what is going ON???
The soft reveal about Cleo's father means he met the Doctor, maybe he's someone we know from the show, or a victim of one of the events from the show.
Too many questions!
Can't wait for episode 7!
Episode 7: Requiem
Oh the Doctor's finally back.
So much happens but at the same time so little does. There's only three episodes left, we've barely heard the Doctor, we have no answers...
I don't know if it gets me hooked or frustrated but I need more! All I know is that time flies by when I'm listening to this, the dialogues are superb, amazing writing and direction. It kind of makes me want to read Dawson's books!
Episode 8: Ghosts
This one was proper scary! So Requiem was Madam Vastra? I'm kind of sad they couldn't get Neve McIntosh to come back for the part but it helped not spoiling the reveal to me so that's a win I guess.
I know that there's a second series but I kind of hope the story gets wrapped up by the end of this one so that it makes a whole. We'll see!
Episode 9: Rescue
WE KNOW MORE
Actually we don't know a lot but we do know more. It's great!
I was NOT expecting Cleo to be Redacted and it's really an interesting twist that may give the finale a lot of work to do.
I can't wait to here about it!
Episode 10: Salvation
Oh the finale was so good, I didn't expect such a satisfying ending.
Cleo not joining the Tardis makes a lot of sense because she has a lot to deal with at home, she has to reconnect with her mother and learn to forgive her and herself for what they did to each other, it's not an adequate moment to fly off in the universe.
I'm glad I could finally hear 13 a bit more, and she was as great as always.
Abby and Shawna!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!! I wasn't sure their relationship was going to end up this way so I'm happy for them!
Great end, I love it!

Fanart by @dykepaldi
How lucky were we to have this last year! And to think I only caught up with this now! It's a wonderful piece of free media from the Whoniverse in a very well known format for the fans, but directed in such a fresh brilliant modern way! It's important to mention how important this piece is to the LGBTQIA+ community, because the main director and producer, the main writer and the members of the main cast are all part of our community. I, as a cis gay man, am not represented (I think) in this play, but it was still so emotional to me to see such bold and open trans and sapphic representation. I love that for our community and in hard times like these, it's great to be reminded that safe spaces exist. And if like for me, your safe space is just anything Doctor Who related, you know that despite the bigotry you may find around you, Doctor Who is there and cares about you.
Storywise, it's clearly written by fans, for fans, and they meddle, they play with the TV show's events, I love it, I absolutely adore it. Some parts of the story feel more hard-hitting than others do, but the overall arc is just brilliant.
It's a timing coincidence that I started listening to this less than a week before the release of the second series but honestly I'm not sure if I'll give it a go considering how Ella Watts was kicked out of the production without a word and being replaced by James Goss (whom I love) who certainly does not have a hard time finding his voice in the Whoniverse. I don't understand this decision and I'm really disappointed. Watts apparently responded with class and dignity but I'll have to say that the BBC are kind of backstabbing her after she created the whole project that was so successful in the end. Just... not cool...
I like Goss' works so maybe I'll listen to it some day, but I think I need to process the info first.
To end on a much more positive note: listen to this. You need no knowledge of any other spin off or eu stuff, and it's free on the BBC app worldwide. You're in for a great time if you haven't listened to it already.

Hello!! Glad to see new people in the fandoms (just saw the post abt GOT and house of the dragon)
Can I please request a soft scenario with Jon snow? He's angsty about being a bastard and the reader comforts him with hugs and kisses, saying how important he is to her and in general, that he's doing great and him being a bastard doesn't matter. Just fluff, seeing him happy is just so heartwarming idk
If you accept the request, thank you and know that i appreciate your work <3
Hello there! <3 Soooo happy you requested for Jon! I feel like we're in desperate need of more Jon content. This got a bit longer than I planned it to be but I hope you like it! Last year (when I first got introduced to GOT) I told myself I wouldn't write for the fandom because the characters were too complex but yelp, here I am.
Tags/Warnings: Angst, secret marriage, reader is referred to as a noble lady but you can imagine what house she belongs to. There might be some inconsistencies since it's been a year since I last saw the show so my bad!
The door slowly creaks open. The night had long ago fallen in Castle Black. Jon could barely make out the silhouette of the beautiful woman laying on the bed. He closes the door with a soft thud and his cloak falls to the floor.
There's a dark gloom over his face as he makes his way towards the bed - the one he'd often find empty up until a few months ago. Now, a beautiful young woman lays in it most of the nights, but not all, it was too much of a risk to have anyone suspicious of their marriage.
Jon pulls a chair over to her side of the bed, and he sits down. At first, he doesn't say anything as he doesn't want to disturb his wife's much needed rest, and also because Jon himself has no idea of what to say.
As if sensing her husband's troubled mind, (Y/N) rolls over in bed and looks at Jon with tired eyes and a sleepy smile, going as far as reaching for his hand to pull him into bed - when her invitation is left hanging, she realises something is wrong. "What's the matter, my love?"
The question is left out in the open for a few seconds before Jon looks away at the fireplace, as if pondering whether he should sleep off his feelings or admit them to his lady wife.
"I know that you're tired - but I need to talk to you, (Y/N). It's about our marriage." Jon begins, his tone heavy with worry.
The young woman slowly sits up and rubs off the sleep off of her eyes. "What about our marriage?"
"What I meant to say is..." Another pause, one that sends (Y/N)'s heart racing. He seems a bit anxious about what he's about to say - but he also seems resolute about doing so. That doesn't stop him from looking away. "You deserve better. A better...husband."
There it is, the truth. His wife's gaze hardens in worry, mind racing over everything they've been through so far. It didn't take her too long to put two and two together, and her gaze softened as did her voice.
"Because you're a bastard?" (Y/N) asks a question with the answer already in mind.
"Because you're a noble lady, (Y/N)," A forced smile plays in the corners of Jon's lips as he says this. He's always wondered how he managed to marry her at all, due to their differences. He looks down at the floor for a few long moments, his heart heavy. "And I am a bastard."
A soft sigh leaves her, "Jon..." She takes his head in her hands, gently cupping his cheeks. "You know I couldn't care less about your bastard status."
"I know, (Y/N)," He looks up at her as (Y/N) takes his face in her hands and cups his cheeks. He smiles at her - but this time it's not forced, but a genuine smile that's laced with both sadness and admiration. "I know. I just... I'm putting you at risk. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. You could easily marry into a proper house with a good lord."
(Y/N) shakes her head in disbelief, as she has done the last time they had this discussion - which was the day they secretly married.
"Are you forgetting I am also married to you? I knew the risks when we said our vows." Her voice is stern, but her gaze is full of understanding and love. "We will be alright."
"Do you really believe that, (Y/N?" Jon asks quietly - though there's a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "I broke my vows for us. You're a noble who married a bastard of the Night's Watch - if the truth comes out one day-"
"I don't care what the realm thinks of our relationship." (Y/N) looks into his eyes, "No one will hurt you as long as I'm around." (Y/N)'s thumbs caress the sides of his cheek. "What brought up all this, hmm?"
Jon meets (Y/N)'s eyes, and he takes a deep breath. If he could - if the world was kind - he'd lean against his wife's touch and never leave. No more Night's Watch, no more wars, no more fighting... just her.
"I married you. You're a nobleborn, and I'm just a bastard. When I look at you..." Jon takes another deep breath, his voice a bit heavier with emotion. "...you make me wish that I was better."
"You think you're just a bastard?" There's a hint of sorrow in her voice as she repeats Jon's words. The lady was well aware of Jon's thoughts about being a bastard and also his tendency to pretend he had made his peace with it, but she knew the man she married. Hells, she might even know him better than she knows herself.
"Isn't that what I am?" Jon asks quietly. He looks at (Y/N) again as if he was looking for reassurance. "I'm not a Stark, not by name. I don't have any titles, like all of the other men in this world. I don't have a family name - just Snow. I'm just a bastard (Y/N)."
She sighs with a frown in her features. (Y/N) hates when she hears her husband speaking so low of himself, something she's been trying hard to correct.
Jon avoids her gaze altogether as he continues to speak. Though he can admit he feels like there's been a weight taken off of his shoulders as he does so. "Eddard raised me with many ideals - honour, honesty, loyalty. He taught me the customs of the North and about the history of our family. But he never talked about being a... well, a bastard, my love. He never told me how to deal with it... how to be a... to know that you don't belong."
"Mmm." (Y/N) hums, acknowledging his words. She pushes a few strands of his hair out of his face. "And yet you're far more honourable than any of them." Another smile plays in her lips, "I would take you over any trueborn man any day."
Jon's heart flutters at her words, yet he continues to look down at the floor, shaking his head in what could be resignation. "You can be honest with me, my love. You can tell me that you've always wanted a trueborn husband and not a bastard of the North."
"All I want is you." (Y/N) replies, "You're the one I want to wake up with," She rests her forehead against his, "Is that too much to ask for?'
Jon's eyes are filled with remorse as he gains the courage to finally look at his wife's face and takes in her features as a breath of fresh air. If the world was truly just and fair, he would deserve her. He just wished that the pain he had to go through in this world - the pain of feeling like he had to prove himself over and over again - would go away. He wished that he could truly be better so that he could one day be the man that (Y/N) deserves to be married to.
"Now, why don't you come to bed? Tomorrow I'll make you a family cake recipe." (Y/N) adds with a playful smile as she pats the side next to her in bed.
His wife's smile is enough to convince Jon, as it had always been. It was with a smile that he fell in love with her, and it was also with a smile that she convinced him to marry her. Jon climbs into the bed and wraps an arm around her.
"Yes, I would love that."
Jon has been a part of the Night's Watch for years - but it's only here, now, that he finally feels at home for the first time ever since he arrived at the Wall. If the Gods are fair, Jon and (Y/N) will go live to her family's homestead, far, far away from the problems of the Seven Kingdoms.

I love your posts about Jewish representation on TV and it reminded me of another post I saw by someone else who talked about how there’s a movie coming soon to Amazon that’s based on a book (it’s called Red and White & Royal Blue), and how the only Jewish character from the book was the only character to not be cast authentically in the movie because the actress and her family and openly and proudly Christian. I don’t think the character herself was canonically very religious, she goes home for Hanukkah, but she was written as Jewish ethnically. The blog I read it on talked about how it’s Jew erased because they didn’t cast someone Jewish and you can’t play another ethnicity (especially a minority one) and because the character doesn’t really do anything Judaism related, no one will even know she was supposed to be Jewish. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on it?
Hi Nonnie! And just lemme give you the BIGGEST hug! I thought this was fascinating. I'm so glad that you enjoy my posts about Jewish representation on TV and in film, they're obviously really important to me on a very personal level. IDK if this'll make you happy to hear, but I plan on writing at least two more posts about Jewish rep, one on OUaT and one on Friends. All in the context of my theory regarding Jewish rep. Here’s my thoughts on your ask...
What you're asking about can be referred to as the question of "Jewface." It's a term that has existed since the late 19th century, when non-Jews started portraying caricatures of Jews, often while wearing fake enlarged noses, fake long beards, ragged clothes and speaking with a thick Yiddish accent. By 1909, mainstream American Jewry had already decried this custom. But recently, this term has been brought up again, in 2021 Sarah Silverman wanted to talk about the way Jewish roles often go to non-Jewish actors.
I have to admit that as a general understanding seemed to take over that white people should not be cast in the role of POC for several reasons, Jews were left out of that discussion, so I think Sarah was absolutely right in bringing it up, as are you to ask about the casting of this Jewish character in RW&RB. The thing is, Jews ARE an ethno-religion. That means that we're not like Christians or Muslims, who are only bound together by a shared religion, Jews are also bound by shared ancestry. We're not the only ones, BTW! Another prominent ethno-religion is the Druze. Now, the Druze are far more strict than the Jews, they cannot marry any non-Druze and no one can convert to the Druze religion. Judaism isn't as strict: Jews can marry non-Jews, and people can convert to Judaism. However, for most of Jewish history, not that many people converted to Judaism. It was due to more than one reason:
Many non-Jews never got a chance to know Jews and Judaism, so there would be no reason for them consider converting.
Judaism on its part is against trying to convert non-Jews to Judaism (we believe that if someone converts, that means their soul was always Jewish, they were always meant to be a part of the Jewish people. But for that, conversion has to be an act of free will and not the result of a campaign of persuasion).
Jews were persecuted to such a degree, they suffered discrimination in every walk of life you can think of, they were lied about, demonized, repeatedly attacked, too often even massacred, so why would you want to be a Jew? Even if you did get to know Jews and Judaism and decided you liked this, the price to pay for being Jewish was just too great. This was an obstacle to conversion as well as to simply marrying Jews.
This is why for the most part, non-Jews did not convert to Judaism. At the same time, Jews sought to marry other Jews in order to pass on the Jewish identity, faith, values, traditions, culture, language, etc. As one lady explained it to me some years ago, "If you truly believe that a certain set of values is full of good, that your religion is true and enriching, and that your culture is beautiful, why wouldn't you want your kids to have all that as well? And the best way of ensuring that inheritance was by marrying and having kids with another Jew."
That means that to a great degree, the People of Israel (notice, this is what Jews call themselves in the Bible: not the Religion of Israel, the People of Israel, עם ישראל) did remain one people, one nation. Even the exceptional people who did convert to Judaism, they also married into the Jewish people, and their kids married Jews as well, and so did their grandchildren, and so the descendants of converts still shared that same common Jewish ancestry.
And all of this together was probably critical to the survival of Jewish identity. Take for example the Philistines. They were a seafaring people (most likely Greek and originating in the island of Crete based on the pottery they left behind) who invaded the Land of Israel from the west and settled along the southern part of Israel's coast. When the Babylonian empire invaded and occupied the Land of Israel roughly 2600 years ago, the Philistines were expelled to Babylon together with the Jews. But where the Jews maintained their identity long enough for the Persian empire under Cyrus the Great to defeat the Babylonians and allow the return of exiled populations to their homelands, the Philistines disappeared from the pages of history. Historians believe it's most likely that as a small minority, they inter-married with the majority, the Babylonians, to the point where they lost their culture, their language, their faith, and as a result, their distinct identity, and that's why there's no record of them after the expulsion to Babylon.
Now back to the question of casting, while Jews all over the world share common ancestry, we don't necessarily all look the same. The Middle East is actually a place where facial features and skin tones have always been very diverse, and that's what the Jews are, Middle Eastern. Add to that some degree of inter-marriage with convert Jews, and the result is that there really is no one look that all Jews share. So the question of casting, I don't think it's best tackled through that prism. I think it's more about the way the ethnic part of the ethno-religious identity of Jews should be acknowledged. About feeling like we matter, and that casting directors take Jewish identity into account, just like they do when they cast for a black character or an Indian one or a Native American. I also think having this conversation would allow us to talk about how the idea of Jewish facial features HAS BEEN demonized along the centuries (precisely that idea of the "Jewish nose" that was used in ugly antisemitic caricatures, or the idea of Jews having darker complexions than the average European).
Lastly, I know some people might point out that Jews get to be cast as non-Jews, so supposedly this shouldn't prevent non-Jews from being cast as Jews. Well, other actors who are POC are sometimes cast in roles originally intended for white people. An example is the 2018 show Troy: Fall of a City which cast a black Achilles, even though he was Greek (and specifically described as having fair features, as the ancient Greeks believed that was a sign of being favored by the gods). As much as such a casting might stir a discussion, at no point would we assume this means it would be okay to cast a white person in a movie about Martin Luther King Jr.!
Which brings me to another point, the question of which Jewish roles are played by Jews and which are not. This is something that I thought of being a gay woman. I know that a lot of gay actors, once they come out and are publicly perceived as gay, they get type cast as gay. It doesn't matter whether they look gay. It doesn't matter that prior to coming out, they could get lots of straight roles. Once they're identified as gay, there's a world of roles they're not going to get anymore, especially as a romantic lead or an action hero. It's a part of why many gay actors choose not to come out, even if they're okay doing so on every other level.
I'll just stop the analyzing of gay roles for a second to mention that this was true for Jews for a really long time as well. Yes, they were cast in non-Jewish roles, but they had to change their names and make sure no one would know they're actually Jewish. For example, beloved comedian Danny Kay was actually born David Daniel Kaminsky. Kirk Douglas, the movie legend? Born Issue Danielovitch Demsky. Winona Ryder? She was born Winona Horowitz. Natalie Hershlag? You know her as Natalie Portman.
At the same time as openly gay actors are limited to (mostly minor) gay roles, there are MAJOR gay roles in the entertainment industry, the ones that will have prestige attached to them, and those are almost always played by actors who are publicly known as straight. Think of Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain, Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers Club or Armie Hammer in Call Me By Your Name. They're all men that the public knows as straight. Now, I think straight people should be able to play gay and learn some empathy for gay people through that, that gay people should get to play straight and not be punished through the loss of work opportunities for being open about being queer, and I also think that when it's all mixed up, that can also prevent the bullying of an actor for taking on a gay role to the point they're forced to come out (by accepting that it's okay to be queer, straight, questioning, gay-but-before-realization, and take on a gay role). BUT I do think we have to talk about the Big Gay Roles being cast almost exclusively by straight actors. We should put studios and execs, not actors, on the spot, and ask them for more Big Gay Roles and for more diverse casting in those roles, and we should def not badger a teenager for being cast in a gay role.
Along the same line, I was asking myself about Big Jewish Roles. TBH, over the years, there haven't been many, give or take mostly Holocaust movies. But now in recent years, we have the non-Jewish Rachel Brosnahan in the lead role as a Jewish woman in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, until that show was canned we had the non-Jewish Kathryn Hahn set to star as the Jewish Joan Rivers, the non-Jewish Daniel Craig was cast as the lead in the movie Defiance which told the real story of Tuvia Bielsky leading a group of Jewish partisans and saving the lives of roughly 1200 Jews during the Holocaust. These are just some examples off the top of my head, there are many more. So yeah, I'd like more Big Jewish Roles and more actual Jews cast in them.
In conclusion, I think Jewish actors being cast in Jewish roles should, at the very least, be talked about because it does matter and it does help explain a part of Jewish identity, and I also think we need more Jewish stories with Big Jewish Roles, and I think it does very much matter that those be cast (at least predominantly if not exclusively) with Jewish actors.
Thank you so much for being interested! And I am so sorry for the length... But I really didn't know how to do this subject justice in less words. xoxox

Taiora - Hugging them from behind.
Is it ok to ask for Sora to be the one hugging Taichi?
+ smirking in a way that suggests more requested by @xnananko
Thank you for the request Anon, and for letting me know that you wanted Sora to be the one to initiate the hug. Though I'll be honest, when I first saw the notification of the ask, I could only read the first part and I'd already decided that Sora would be the one hugging so I'm glad our thoughts matched up 💖
This fic is set in a post adventure canon divergent au aka no 02/tri/kizuna/epilogue etc 😌
Hope you guys like reading it, posting something Taiora related after 7 months 😅

Taichi would be lying to himself if he said that he had remembered Sora’s birthday correctly.
In fact, in the week leading up to it, he kept thinking he was forgetting something important but couldn’t put a finger on it. Until he arrived at school that morning and passed by Sora’s classroom, almost doing a double take noticing the crowd that had gathered inside. He’d always known that she was the kind of girl who made friends with people easily, but it was when he saw seniors and juniors alike handing her little packages and wishing her enthusiastically did Taichi realise, that maybe he didn’t know Sora all that well after all. He’d quickly made his way back to his own classroom, a little grateful that they weren’t in the same class this year and he could take this time to think about how he was going to make it up to her.
A distant memory of a failed gift from his childhood appeared in Taichi’s mind, how when he’d assumed what was better for Sora without asking her how she felt, it left her feeling upset with him during a crucial Digimon attack. He reminded himself to not make a mistake like that again, lest a wormhole opened up above their school and dropped more evil Digimon which Sora might refuse to fight against together with him.
All jokes aside, Taichi knew that he had to act and act fast. He texted Koushiro casually, asking him if he’d gotten anything for Sora at school, trying to make it seem like that he just wanted to check whether it was better to hand over the gift later, outside of school. His friend replied almost instantly, stating that he’d handed his gift to the birthday girl right at the school entrance this morning. Taichi tried his best not to curse under his breath, he’d seen a glimpse of Mimi’s pastel hair in Sora’s classroom, so he knew there was no point in asking the chirpy brunette. So as a last resort, he turned in his seat and came face to face with his best friend.
“You forgot Sora’s birthday,” Yamato muttered dryly, not looking up from the book he was reading, as if this conversation didn’t deserve that honour.
“Yeah.” Taichi accepted his fault, knowing that there was no point in trying to hide the truth from someone as observant as Yamato.
“And?” Yamato turned the page of the book he was reading and still did not seem as invested enough in this problem as Taichi would like him to be.
“Did you get her anything?”
“I’m dating her best friend, Taichi, so of course we got her a gift. As a matter of fact, we handed it over to her yesterday itself.” Yamato stated this as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, and it was Taichi’s fault that he hadn’t figured it out yet.
“And you didn’t think of reminding me?” Taichi asked, exasperated by his best friend’s cold behaviour.
“What am I? Your assistant?”
“No, I’d like to think you’re my best friend, but apparently not.” Taichi gritted his teeth and turned away from Yamato, letting his head drop on his desk with a loud thud that scared some of his classmates seated around him.
“Just go to the convenience store during lunch and buy her some chocolates.” Yamato offered in a much softer tone than before, maybe the best friend comment seemed to get to him.
“It’s Sora! I can’t just buy her cheap chocolates for her birthday.”
As much as he wanted to hide his guilt and frustration with himself, it was hard to keep the emotions in when he felt so helpless. With his current track record of gifting stupid stuff to Sora, he wanted to make sure that this time around he’d get her something she would truly like. Of course, to do that he should’ve strived to remember her birthday correctly in the first place. However, Taichi still felt that if he had time on his side, he could make up for this blunder and walk up to Sora with the perfect gift in his hand. Maybe Yamato had figured his intentions out too, because he heard his friend sigh loudly behind him.
“I’ll help you in avoiding her today,” Yamato said.“Just make sure you go buy a gift after school and hand it over to her in the evening.”
“You’d do that for me?” Taichi raised his head and looked at Yamato with shining eyes.
“Yes. I am your best friend right?” Yamato smirked as he turned his attention back to his book.
It seemed that Yamato and Mimi were addicted to texting each other in between classes, which is how his best friend was able to figure out Sora’s schedule for the day, and that made hiding from her a very simple task for Taichi. He managed to keep his profile low the entire day, only stepping out from the comfort of his classroom when it was time for his afternoon soccer practice. But he wasn’t worried about getting caught then since most of the school would’ve emptied by the time his practice was over and Yamato had mentioned something about Sora making plans with Mimi for the evening.
And that’s why, as practice went on and Taichi completely immersed himself in the sport, he let his guard down, ruining all the effort he’d put into staying under the radar during school hours.
He stood gulping down water from his sipper at the edge of the soccer field. Their Coach had wrapped up practice with a few words of advice and while most of his teammates were heading back to the locker room, he considered if he should stay back for about thirty minutes to work on his weak points. He’d already figured out what he would buy for Sora, so he knew he wouldn’t take too much time in getting the gift to her, which should free up some extra time for soccer right now. The sun had only just begun to set and Taichi viewed the orange hue that had started to spread across the skyline with a hint of confusion.
Before he could reach a decision, however, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist.
Taichi felt his whole body tremble as a familiar and sweet, flowery scent reached him along with the warmth that spread across his back as someone pressed themselves against it. He was frozen to the spot and colour rushed into his cheeks when he looked down and noticed the slender arms that now rested comfortably around his waist. The dimmed rays of sunlight made the beige coloured skin shine like bronze, making his fingers twitch with an ache to trace his name slowly across her arm.
“Gotcha!” A soft giggle reached his ears as he felt a chin rest upon his shoulder.
Taichi tried his best to not jump as an electric sensation ran across his body through his ears, the part where Sora’s breath had tickled against his skin still buzzing. His heart began to beat fast when the fact that Sora’s chest was now touching his back registered in his panic stricken mind.
Deep down he didn’t mind the proximity, especially when Sora had been the one to initiate it.
He was used to letting his hand brush past hers or bumping his shoulder with hers when they walked side by side. He didn’t try to hold himself back when he sat next to her, letting his knee rest by hers, letting his head fall onto her shoulder for a quick nap. He never hesitated to take her hand into his own when they walked through crowded streets or ran to get to school on time. However, Sora had never done anything like this before, sure she played along with him when he tried it, but in those few moments when he expected this of her, she’d shy away by averting her gaze or moving further apart.
Something about today must really be different for Sora to suddenly hug him from behind like this.
With all the willpower he could muster, Taichi pried her hands away from his body carefully and took a few step forwards, so he could turn around and face her with a nervous smile.
“Happy Birthday.”
“Thank you.” She returned his smile in full, cherry eyes filled with excitement as she looked at him.
“You’re quite the popular girl today, huh?” Taichi joked, an attempt to hide the anxiousness of being caught before he had the time to get her a gift.
“Is that why you didn’t come to see me all day today?” Sora folded her arms across her chest, tilting her head as she passed him a confused look.
“Yeah.” He lied, swallowing the nervous gulp in his throat with great difficulty, “Almost couldn’t find you, what with your ladies in waiting forming a wall around you.”
Sora narrowed her eyes at him, he could see the gears in her mind turning as she dissected his words and behaviour. He squirmed under her gaze, finding it difficult to hold his ground, he looked up at the sky instead and started to whistle in a low tune. If Sora hadn’t figured out he was trying to hide something from her till now, he knew that this would’ve definitely given him away. As expected, in the next moment she shook her head and sighed tiredly.
“You forgot it was my birthday today, didn’t you?”
“No, I did not! I totally remembered, you just looked so busy-”
“Oh, Taichi please don’t lie to me today.” She interrupted him with a raised hand and he hated how disappointed she sounded. This was the exact opposite of how he’d expected their conversation to go once he finally decided to face her today.
“Just admit that you forgot, I won’t be mad at you,” Sora said, letting her hands drop to her side so she could fidget with the hem of her uniform skirt.
“I didn’t forget.” Taichi reasserted, though he had no idea from where he was getting the guts to lie so confidently. “I...I even- I even prepared an amazing gift for you.”
Since he’d already dug a hole for himself with the first lie, Taichi decided that he might as well dig a little deeper. Looking at the sudden spark of interest that spread across Sora’s face, he felt more motivated to keep going with the plan he’d just come up with a few seconds ago, despite how utterly crazy and reckless it was.
“Really?” She asked him, eyes wide with hope as she stared at him.
“Yeah. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I should get you this year.” Taichi cleared his throat and took a step forward, reducing the distance between them slightly, “But nothing I saw seemed like the perfect gift that I know you deserve, so I came up with something else. Something...something I couldn’t have given you in front of everyone else.”
The sun had pretty much disappeared against the tall skyscrapers of Tokyo, which left the sky drenched in deep shades of purples and oranges. The violet hues danced off of Sora’s auburn hair, surrounding her with a reddish glow that made it hard for Taichi to look away from. Her bright eyes were fixed on him, anticipation bubbling through them as a pink tint spread across her cheeks. What he was about to do next scared him slightly, but looking at her right now, when she was surrounded by a mesmerising radiance that beckoned Taichi to come closer, he knew that he was taking the right step.
This might not be the gift he’d originally thought of, but it was still a perfect gift nonetheless.
With that thought, Taichi took another step forward to close the distance between them.
He cupped Sora’s chin in his hand and tilted her face upwards, pressing his lips to hers gently. He smiled against her lips when he felt both her hands clutch onto his t-shirt as he leaned deeper into the kiss. A soft moan reached his ears when he used his tongue to caress her lips, tasting her orange-flavoured lip balm. He raised his other hand and traced his fingers across her cheek, feeling her soft skin at his fingertips just so he could remind himself that this wasn’t a dream, but he really was standing on the school soccer field and kissing Sora.
The thought jolted awake his rational side and Taichi pulled away from the kiss abruptly, darting his head around to check if they were being watched. He sighed with relief when he noticed that the lights were out in the school building and the field was completely deserted as well. When he turned his attention back to Sora, he saw that she was still clinging to his chest as pouted up at him.
“So..uh..yeah, happy birthday,” Taichi murmured as he avoided looking at her eyes, feeling the repercussion of his bold move flood to his cheeks in the form of a hot flush.
“Hm. I wouldn’t consider it a happy birthday yet,” Sora said as her lips curved upwards and she let her gaze drop to his lips.
“Uh, I don’t understand-”
“Come on, Taichi,” Sora smirked at him as she stood on her toes so she could lean closer towards him. A mischievous glint danced across her dark, rosy eyes as her smile and low tone suggested more than what her innocent words let on, “You can still give me a better gift than that, right?”
Taichi held his breath for a moment, waiting to see if Sora would laugh and push him away, claiming that she was just joking. But when her eyes stayed fixed on his face and her hands continued to hold onto his chest tightly, he allowed himself to grin as he snaked one arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
“The birthday girl’s wish is my command.”

bc it's like. and i was GOING to talk to you about the religion aspect of it because it is also partly a letter to God where i am like bro fuck me why is everything so hard; but also like. u know that already i could talk myself into the ground about that already so like yeah. i never posted this one bc it explicitly mentioned my age in a way that i Do Not have the heard to change and also i am emotionally fragile about it and it was probably one of the last songs i wrote before the one i made for tater last year... and it's SO SAD man. it started out as a poem about me hating summer now and the fact that i hated hating summer now because it used to be my favorite season, but then every single thing that made me love the season got taken away from me--the place i was in when i got to experience it, the people i got to be with, the friends and the family and the spending time with all of those people who were so important to me--and then it kind of slowly turned into me going why is everything that i am fucked up how do you even wait for me when i'm like this why must time pass and why does the hurt only get worse. and there's like no real point to me talking about this song i do not think i am going anywhere with this but it is SO IMPRESSIVE how badly i did not want to listen to it until like. over a year later. and now every time i listen to it it's wild because i always get to have the fun realization that this fits literally any breakdown i could have that would have me listening to sad music like goddamn it is it a versatile little fucker of a song.
but also it is interesting because there are parts in there that i've grown a little about and i can look back and be glad that i have moved on from it. it's like a little marker fr like one day when i'm like fifty i can look back on this song and be like haha fuck you life i won. so i'm kind of just. drifting along waiting for that i think
FJFJRJR ALL OF THIS IS SO REAL DUDE IM

important* Tim Drake comics liveblog
*important in that these were recommended on a different tumblr post if i wanted to understand tim's character and see all the important events in his life
I'm gonna be reading: Lonely Place of Dying, Robin (1993) vol. 1 and 2, Batman Knightfall, Batman Prodigal, and Young Justice (1998)
No Man's Land and Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul were also recommended, but I've already read those so im not gonna do them
(i should probably also mention I've seen a Bunch of screenshots and explanations for how Tim met Dick and Bruce, so there probably won't be a lot for Lonely Place of Dying)
anyway here we gooo
-
Lonely Place of Dying
aww Tim's just a lil stalker boy. lil baby boy. A lil surprised the 'following batman and robin around at night since he was 9' was really just a fanon thing and not canon
lmao Tim didn't even tell Dick his name while they were at the circus
i love seeing lil baby boy tim though, he is so much happier and having a good time and different than how he was in Red Robin (note for anyone who cares: the first Tim Drake comic/the first comic I read period was Red Robin so seeing him here is wild)
-
Robin (1993) vol. 1
okay learning about how Tim's parents actually are makes me understand why some ppl dislike how they're portrayed in fanon; they don't seem that bad
they were basically always fighting/arguing around Tim & even when Tim wasn't around they were fighting too & when they go off traveling on business they sent Tim to boarding school, but he's alone on his vacation days/weeks (he was on vacation week when he met dick and then alfred and bruce)
ohh this thing about ransom payments
Tumblr media
Jack made a rule about not paying randoms and it extends to Jack himself and his wife Janet (or so I'm assuming)
meaning it would probably extend to Tim too?
Tumblr media
I get that it's a slippery slope, but I'm also just :thinking emoji: (side note: this is probably good material for an angst fic)
Tumblr media
oooooo
so mayyybe they would've changed the policy if Tim was kidnapped for ransom? or is it just because they were kidnapped that Jack is saying this? hmmm
Tumblr media
THAT'S KINDA DARK, TIM.
(also more angst fic material 👀)
Tumblr media
the panel! the one that shows Janet, at least, regrets not spending as much time with Tim! or maybe she regrets arguing with jack as much? or both
I've seen this panel float around tumblr before and now i've got more context!
also, was not expecting moneyspider to show up so early lmao
also also im glad the whole 'tim is really good with computers / hacking even before coming to join bruce' is canon (referring to Lonely Place of Dying)
plus the whole 'knowing karate and how to judo flip someone before bruce' being canon too (referring to Lonely Place of ying)
also he's just such a nice and excitable boy wth, i love baby tim
Tumblr media
ANARKY BABY
idk why, maybe bc of the unterworld stuff in red robin, but i like Lonnie
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AUGH
found Lonnie, took him down, feeling good about his win, and then Bruce comes in with bloody bandages like 'i have bad news' akjfdshgadf qwq
OH, SO THE COMPANY DID PAY THE RANSOM?
jack was happy to see batman show up & janet actually warned batman about a dude coming up behind him w/an axe they really aint like their fanon counterparts are they
ARE- NO WHY WOULD YOU DRINK THAT
okay i cant be super mad bc how would they expect it to be poisoned, (and also I knew beforehand that they were gonna get poisoned) but omgggg im kinda mad about that
Tumblr media
awww tim and bruce hug (i mean sad times, but aww hug)

I’m watching rebels for the first time (thanks to your account!) and was particularly struck by the episode after Jedi Knight, Dume. Each of the surviving Ghost crew members arguably represented one of the five stages of grief:
• Sabine was Anger- pretty straightforward as she threw her helmet and yelled
• Ezra was Denial- he said Kanan was "gone", not “dead" and it took him until after the temple was destroyed to realize/accept that Kanan was in fact beyond the world of the living/physical realm
• Zeb was Bargaining- I took his hug to mean "of course this is really sad, and we can fully grieve later, but we still have a job to do"
• Hera, of course, was Sadness- via the tear sliding down her cheek
• and Chopper, who was Acceptance. He was calm and held Hera's hand as she started to cry.
Not only did we get that beautiful masterpiece of an opening scene, but the whole episode was about each of them trying to deal with the loss of Kanan. I’ve never really seen characters grieve for an extended amount of time before, even in the Clone Wars (in which plenty of major characters either died or lost something important to them). It seems like it was a first for Star Wars, and as a result it's probably one of my favorite episodes from S4, it means a lot to me. Sorry this isn’t a question, I just wanted to thank you for posting about Rebels because I might never have watched it if it wasn’t for you and it just connects and resonates with me more than any other Star Wars tv show I’ve seen. Anyways I just wanted to share my thoughts and see if you had anything to add!
Hi anon! First off, wow, it's so thrilling to hear that you got into Rebels because of little old me. I hope you enjoy your stay in the fandom.
Second, love the analysis of "Dume". I'd argue that Zeb is more Anger (from him continuing to pummel Ruhk after he's already down) but Hera, Sabine, and Ezra are all spot on. Ezra especially struggles to come to terms with Kanan's death and has to be needled and prodded and almost bullied into opening up about it by the Loth-Wolves (much like how Kanan had to confront Sabine in "Trials of the Darksaber").
The commitment to showing the fallout and grieving process is one of the reasons I'm a lot more accepting of Kanan's death than other character deaths. Like, I still think they could have found a way to write him out without killing him, but once they made the decision they committed to it, they let the characters grieve (over several episodes even!) they didn't just use it for cheap drama and forget about it (Han's death in TFA) or fake you out all "Ha ha just kidding" in a show of wasted drama (Chewbacca and Threepio's "deaths" in TROS). It had an effect and an impact on the plot, on the other characters, it meant something to the story. And yeah, it actually is... pretty rare that shows stop to grieve for a lost character.
I respect that a lot, even if it wouldn't have been my preferred narrative decision. The effort ultimately makes me okay with it.
Anyway, glad to have you in fandom, and thanks for sharing your thoughts!

cheek squish anon for the ask game
definitely steve & nancy & barb's scene in tkaa when he goes to tell nancy about his powers. just. the energy. the pacing, the gesturing. the rambling. this scene lives in my head as though i saw it visually in the show itself, it's just such a good use of the space in nancy's room! and then my favourite part of barb's sass (there's a black eye in yours and it's coming up fast) and then excitement (i'm not the only one!) overlapping with steve's increasingly frantic disbelief (people don't have psychic powers! this is crazy!!) and Then the "do you love me?" "i've barely known you for-" "good, that's good" - it's just. UGH. so many things in here. also also the fact that steve initially said that he's helping mike also because he could use brownie points with nancy but then when she asks he's like it's not important, or him starting to go "don't act like" and then quickly amending his wording to "you don't have to act like" so it isn't a command bc he still doesn't know how his powers work and he's already terrified enough that he influenced nancy into going out with him,
okay, this got away from me re:the specific context of visualizing a scene but it's my favourite okay sue me
(Slightly shamefaced admission: I took down this askmeme post shortly after putting it up, and I had to reblog it again because I got this incredibly lovely ask in response to it very very shortly after I took the initial post down. Perhaps I should let this teach me to be more patient, lol. Or less embarrassed about reblogging askmemes.)
There's a concept in live theatre called, iirc, 'stage work'. It refers to naturalistic, unchoreographed movement that actors do onstage to avoid standing around like mannequins, staring at the person who's delivering their lines. It can involve props - sometimes the set designer/props manager will provide props specifically to encourage stage work for a particular scene - it keeps (especially) low-energy, talky scenes visually interesting, and it can, of course, be a good way to show and develop character. (If your character is fidgeting and toying with every knickknack in reach, that's a very different character - or mood - than the one who's standing stock-still in the middle of the room, hugging their own elbows.)
All of this is to say that the pacing, the gesturing, the rambling, all of it was on purpose and I am so so glad to know that it worked! I really wanted to catch this feeling that Steve's just absolutely vibrating but doesn't have a good excuse to haul off and start bouncing around yelling about how this is crazy, this is crazy, this is crazy yet, and it sounds from what you've said here like that came across.
Also I have at least three (3) feelings about "King" Steve "The Hair" Harrington The Persona versus Steve "Dingus" "almost painfully earnest" "hopeless romantic" Harrington the person and the friction that sometimes does and sometimes doesn't exist between the two, and one or two of those feelings mmmmmmay have snuck out in that scene. The unspoken things in this show about personas and public versus private faces and the secrets people keep from others and from themselves and the fear of the truth of one's self are absolutely fucking fascinating.
But. Yeah. Thank you!
