he was gazing at the back of your head for quite some time now, though he couldn’t resist it. he tried looking away a few times, but whenever his eyes wandered around your colorful room, they somehow ended up looking at you once more. sometimes at your head, and some other times at your beautiful butt which he just couldn’t get enough of. the thing he loved the most however was your gorgeous face, the one that a look if concentration on it right now.

music was softly playing in the background, though jude knew that you weren’t this calm internally. ever since he got you concert tickets for your favorite k-pop group, you have become a ball of energy, counting down the days til d-day.

jude was laying on top of your bedsheets, arms crossed behind his back as he sighed out loud for the third time in the past five minutes. yes, he loved you for being so passionate about something, but the thought of you dolling up for some other guys just didn’t sit right with him.

“babe.“ your sweet voice pulled him out of his inner monologue, now facing him as you moved closer to his body. “how does it look?”

jude didn’t know what to focus on exactly, your face? your pretty eyes that had some sparkly things around them? maybe your soft lips, which just screamed at him to come closer and cover them with his own?

so, he just told you what he always does, what he always thinks, “you look stunnin’, baby.”

smiling, you lean down to kiss his forehead before moving back to the mirror to fix some last things around your make up.

“we should leave in ten minutes, yeah? heard the traffic is crazy.”

nodding, jude got out of your hed and moved behind you, hands resting on your hips as he continued to look at your face through the mirror.

“we should stay-“

“no. we talked about this, babe. you even know their songs now, don let that go to waste.” you turn around in his hold, your own hands gliding up and down his torso. you plant a soft kiss against his neck, hearing him sigh made you smirk.

ha, got him.

everything after that went quite smoothly. the car ride was actually really fun, with you blaring song after song from your favorite group, loudly singing and screaming along the lyrics. your excitement even got jude excited, and he caught himself silently mouthing some of the lyrics with you. all because of your smile and general influence on him.

you guys arrived just on time for the last fee free parking spaces near the arena. and since he -obviously- got you VIP tickets, you guys could enter the arena without any issues, even having enough time to buy some merch.

your indecisiveness got jude feeling a bit impatient, he admits. he doesn’t even know why, but seeing you struggling to pick one of the members special item brew jealousy in him in ways he hasn’t felt before.

as if sensing his impatience, you quickly choose everything as fast as you could, paying for your own stuff even jude wanted to oppose. you even got him a light stick, making him smile from one ear to the other.

“babe,” he began, you however interrupted him with a quick kiss in the kips before telling him to move to your seats.

and after that everything just felt like a fever dream. the members of your group came on stage, making you scream out your lungs.

every song got you dancing and jumping on the spot, dragging jude up from his seat to join you.

every sad song made tears string from your eyes, causing jude to wipe them away with an enamored smile painting his lips.

whenever a love song came on, your eyes couldn’t help bit focus on jude, who was just as lovingly looking at you as you were at him. and in that exact moment both of found immense comfort laying between the both of you.

every single thing throughout the entire concert felt so different to you guys, and when it ended it felt like it never happened to begin with.

with adrenaline and giddiness pumping through your veins, you and jude made your way back to your car, but not before taking pictures together in front the arena and a few fans of his.

“i jus’ know that people will be talking about this.” he spike up on the way back home.

this time you were the one driving, not trusting your boyfriends tired eyes to focus on the road entirely.

“about what, bub?”

leaning against the window, judes eyes focused on your side profile, your eyes still had a sparkle in them, your face was flushed and your hair messy. but you looked so fucking beautiful to him in that moment that his hand made its way to your neck, thumb brushing against the side of it.

“don’t know,” he shrugged, “that i was here, i guess.”

“here, means being a good boyfriend that makes his partner happy?” you ask him, already understanding what he was saying.

thinking about your words, jude released a relieved sigh, “yeah, you’re right. did you have a great time, love?”

“it was probably the second best day in my life, babe. thank you so much for being a part of this amazing experience.”

“the second only?”

laughing, you nodded, “the best day of my life was meeting you in that cute yellow jersey, you looked so lost and tired. it made me fall for you immediately.”

“i was a cute yute back then, i know.” he smirks, grabbing your hand to bring it up to his lips. after planting a kiss on your knuckles, he continues to play with your fingers on his lap, “it was a great concert, though.”

“i knew you’d like it!”

A crime of passion has been committed, and Stray Kids is on the case—143, that is. Whodunnit, you ask? We caught up with the group ahead of the release of their latest mini-album, MAXIDENT, to chat about matters of the heart, their sold-out UNVEIL shows, and producing music on the road. And if you’ve ever wondered what a movie night with Stray Kids would be like, we’ve got you covered there, too. Check out our full interview below!

Tell us about your new mini-album MAXIDENT and your experiences writing and composing music while on tour. 

Bang Chan: Like the title of the album, Stray Kids have come across a case that they’ve never encountered before. A MAXIDENT has occurred with the birth of Stray Kids’ first love title song! Writing tracks and demos while on tour has always been fun. Different sceneries and environments definitely help out with the inspiration for new projects.

HAN: This new album showcases the growth of the more mature sides of Stray Kids. Being able to visit and experience so many different places while on tour has definitely brought us many inspirations for projects.

Each of you performed so many individual songs and covers (i.e., ‘Streetlight,’ ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit,’ ‘Youngblood’) throughout your tour—which were your favorites to perform? 

Lee Know: I had a lot of fun singing and dancing to J.Y. Park’s ‘Honey.’ 

Seungmin: My most memorable moment was when I sang Justin Bieber’s ‘Off My Face’! I was so happy that I was able to sing for fans with a live band. I also sang a lot of other Justin Bieber songs, and especially because these are songs I love, I was happy to sing. 

Give us your TMI! Share one out-of-the-ordinary thing you did this week that no one else knows. 

Changbin: I had an arm-wrestling fight with the members, and I was the final winner. As expected—I am powerful! 

I.N: I bought konjac black bean noodles!

Congratulations on your UNVEIL 11 shows at KSPO! What were your expectations going into the concerts, and how did they compare to the real thing? 

Hyunjin: It felt like a dream to perform at the KSPO Dome. I didn’t expect so many STAY to come, but thanks to the many STAY who came, I had so much fun performing. 

Felix: Not only was it a goal but also a gift from STAY, who came to watch our concert at the KSPO Dome. The KSPO Dome was filled with a lot of STAY, making it not only memorable but enjoyable to see fans. We were able to ride on new carts to see STAY on the second floor, which was also memorable.

I.N: I was looking forward to performing so much, but the actual concert exceeded my expectations. I had tons of fun. I felt so, so proud to see the happiness in STAY’s eyes; this made me vow to myself that I will make STAY even happier in the future. 

We’ve seen a lot of heart imagery during this comeback, from the music video to the album art. Can you tell us a little about that choice and what those hearts represent? 

Bang Chan: Having love is a concept that is a MAXIDENT to us; we thought using hearts in a hectic turn of events was essential. “Love” might be a word that has a lovely and warm image, but to make it suit the Stray Kids color, we mixed things around to match the mood that we were aiming for.

Changbin: The reason why we use heart imagery is that this album contains our first love-themed title track. Also, the heart monsters that appear in the music video will spark STAY’s curiosity!

A crime has been committed, and you’re on the case—which of your members are on the hunt, and who committed the crime? 

HAN: I think the suspect would be I.N because he is so lovable. The thoughtful ones of the group, Hyunjin, and Seungmin, will be the ones on the hunt.

Seungmin: The suspect is Lee Know, and I will be the one in charge of going after him and examining the site!!!!!

Lightning round! You’re hosting a movie night for STAYs. What’s your snack of choice, your favorite pajamas, and the movie you’re watching? 

Lee Know: I want to watch a scary movie together. Without a doubt, the snack will be popcorn—caramel flavored. I want to wear the pajamas that I always wear. 

Hyunjin: A sweet romance movie, popcorn and soda, and cute pajamas.

Felix: While watching The Avengers, I hope everyone wears pajamas with long sleeves and eat caramel butter popcorn!

there are concepts from dancing that he starts to utilize on the field.

while memorizing steps isn’t for him, he really enjoys doing just dance. it’s a competition that way, winner gets a wish from the loser.

he’s really impressed, though he won’t express it out loud.

and that is because, rin... can’t really dance.

his body programmed itself to know football and football only, so he finds dancing very impressive.

the striker somehow finds you even more alluring than you already are, a silent pride fills his chest.

he catches himself humming the songs you dance to, they’re in a private playlist of his. it’s hidden, and he has to be alone to listen to it.

imagine the shit the other blue lock boys would give him for listening to TWICE, his image would be ruined. (in his opinion, he’d rather not hear shidou yap about it.)

you know about it though, it’s incredibly cute. his airpods disconnected, you heard cupid by FIFTY FIFTY play from his phone as he showered.

when he came out, a knowing look glossed your face- rin could practically hear your thoughts.

you yapping about it was okay, he’d much rather you than the antennae freak. (rin would probably return the broken nose to his teammate if it were the case.)

i was homeschooled all through out primary school, and attended an accelerated course for middle & high school making me a hs graduate at 15 (at this point im a genius in every dr)

in my childhood i had a lot of hobbies and things i do professionally (parental coercion LMAO) like artistic gymnastics, piano, violin, contemporary & traditional dance. my hobbies were swimming, badminton and mixed martial arts (silat, taekwondo etc)

big hit was on the brink of bankruptcy while debuting bts so my group and bts suffered on our early days. in 2016 bts gained interest in korea which follows cosmic’s slow popularity growth. however, cosmic focused more in the western market and finally hit the charts after our comeback in December of 2016 (after zero wins since debut) while bts won the first daesang in 2016 and got tremendous hate, cosmic won their song of the year & hit the billboard chart and stayed first for a few weeks. also getting tremendous hate from k netz, not believing a rookie girl group managed to secure billboard for their first win.

the next year my group decided on each solo comebacks, where other member success domestically my solo album went back to the billboards charts for weeks gaining cosmic its international popularity along with bts. in the end of the year bts won best group in pop while my album won best solo after that bts and cosmic soars in popularity both domestically and internationally.

It was interesting to say, how most boys from NRC were excited for the performance that was about to take place tonight.

It's been planned for quite a while.

From what he heard,a few groups of girls will perform here,maybe if Leona would have paid more attention he would've known more,but he just didn't bother.

After all not every day does the night raven college allow girls to join them,even for a night.

You laugh quietly, "It's been a pretty long day," you smile ,looking at the boy who appeared almost out of thin air, "So yeah,I'm quite tired." Saying that ,you resist another yawn.

Of course Leona sees that. He chuckles, shaking his head amused.

"So why'd you come here?" The two of you start quietly walking,not even realizing yet.

"I mean,I like what I'm doing. Me and my friends dream of becoming something,it may sound silly to be honest." You leave out another sighed laugh, rubbing the back of your neck.

"I can see it happening,you didn't do too bad out there." He winks, showing his canines while smiling.

You must admit, this stranger, that's most likely a student here is pretty handsome.

You smile at his words. This boy has his way with words,you'll give him that.

"Thanks,oh ,by the way." Leona's eyes dart back at you, "What's your name?I'm sorry I didn't ask earlier I just got really caught up in the conversation and I'm just sleepy and all."

He smiles , finding you amusing.

"So,you study here?" The lion's eyes close, starting to feel tired himself.

"Yep, have been for a while." He shrugs,more curious to know about you.

"What bout you?" One of his eyes lazily opens,resting on your face. He's curious off what you think.

"I study at Witches college for girls,it's not too far from here." You smile,so you study to be a witch hm? A witch pop star,how interesting.

"Is that so? How's it there?" The conversation goes on like this, Leona learning net things about you.

He likes your company,unlike the usual people he surrounds himself with ,you're peaceful to be around.

Leona also shares a few things about himself, you now know he's older than you. From what he told you ,the boy was held back a year or so.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s 2019 debut album, The Dream Chapter: STAR, entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 140. The following year, minisode 1: Blue Hour hit 25, and 2021’s The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE went up to number five, representing a steep jump. After their 2022 release minisode 2: Thursday's Child rose one slot higher to number four, they released their fifth mini album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, on January 27, and it was then that the group finally topped the chart. The albums charted thanks to first-week sales totaling 39,000 copies (The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE), 65,500 copies (minisode 2: Thursday's Child) and 152,000 copies (The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION). TOMORROW X TOGETHER has risen each year as though progressively climbing a set of stairs, improving upon previous sales each time.

The reason for their steady growth can be worked out by looking at each album’s performance on the Billboard 200 following the second week of their releases. The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION was number three in its second week and then 10 and 12 in its third its fourth weeks, respectively. TOMORROW X TOGETHER has become one of only two K-pop boy bands to have stayed within the Billboard 200 top 10 for three consecutive weeks. The other group, of course, is BTS. Just like people keep on buying BTS albums even after the week they’re released ever since the group became popular in the United States, the same is true about TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Although it covers performance outside the US too, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s performance on Spotify’s Daily Top Song Global chart gives an even clearer picture of how the group is growing. A look at the chart shows the lead single of The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE, “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” (feat. Seori), charted at number 89, and the album’s B-side, “Anti-Romantic,” charted at 127. When minisode 2: Thursday's Child was released the following year, every track made it to the chart, including the lead single, “Good Boy Gone Bad,” at number 81. “Sugar Rush Ride,” the lead single for their most recent album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, entered 43 places higher, debuting at number 38, while three other tracks off the album were in the top 100 and the remaining song was number 112. Going off the steady album sales figures, we can see that more and more people are listening to TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s songs, and some of them become big enough fans to buy the group’s follow-up albums. 

Min YeSl, head of the BIGHIT MUSIC marketing team, placed particular meaning on the fact that the song “Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock)” off The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION is “going viral on TikTok all by itself.” The song is neither the lead single off the album nor is it all in English, but it entered the Spotify Viral Chart for the week of February 20 this year at number 47. Even though there was no marketing push behind the song, user-generated content related to “Tinnitus” became popular and interest in the song continued well after its release. “It’s mostly dance videos,” Min explained, “and there’s lots of reaction videos like, ‘I didn’t know this was K-pop,’ and, ‘I lied about it being a K-pop song and played it for my friends/family.’” Two years ago, “Anti-Romantic” was also popular on TikTok and played a major role in promoting TOMORROW X TOGETHER to the world. While the lead singles go to elaborate lengths to capture TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s identity through the outfits, music videos and performances, songs like “Anti-Romantic” and “Tinnitus” are tracks that make the group’s music more approachable, creating a larger entry point into the world of TOMORROW X TOGETHER for listeners around the globe. Min pointed out that one of the reasons “Tinnitus” has been so popular is the “Afrobeats genre.” Kim Yoo Young, a representative at the HYBE 360 Overseas Distribution Business Team, explained that “Afrobeats is becoming very popular in the market, to the point that Billboardrecently created a separate chart for the genre.” TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music is based on the subgenres of pop that are popular at a given moment, and is steadily appealing to more and more people. Min also stressed that the group’s music has “continually found commonality within the North American music market, such as through collaborations with salem ilese, iaan dior and Coi Leray.”

“The people in charge of album distribution in the US also said TOMORROW X TOGETHER is ‘all over TikTok’ and they’re ‘basically TikTok kings,’” Kim’s explained, showing how TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s songs were able to reach overseas listeners, including those in the US. Music written around global trends spreads on TikTok and other platforms that have a strong influence on the music industry through various video challenges. Although this is one of the main avenues for music to become popular lately, TOMORROW X TOGETHER is different because they are particularly active on TikTok themselves. TOMORROW X TOGETHER has more than 20 million followers on the app and member YEONJUN is famous from his strong presence on the platform alone. TOMORROW X TOGETHER is there on TikTok interacting with the app’s representative Generation Z user base, and the group releases the kind of songs Gen Z are into right now and want to do challenges based off of. This may be why TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who was called the “next big thing” by the media when they first debuted, has become “a voice for today’s” generation and the “it band.” According to the Korea Customs Service, the US is the third-largest importer of K-pop music. As of 2019, statistics showed that 40.8% of K-pop listeners in the US had been consuming K-pop for more than five years. “There are few artists in the US who can sell more than 100,000 physical albums,” Kim said, “so it’s an opportunity for people in the US pop music industry to start getting interested in K-pop.” Park Yun Joo, head of the HYBE AIC3 team in charge of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s global promotions and PR, explained that, in the US market at the moment, “K-pop is no longer just a niche because the larger public beyond the fandom is coming to listen to K-pop little by little.” BTS formed their fandom, ARMY, in the early days of the group’s entry into the US market, helping make K-pop more widely known in the country, and later became the most successful artist in the music industry—not only in the realm of K-pop, but in the whole world. As a result, Kim said, “Now there are K-pop corners everywhere in offline music stores, including Target, Walmart, Barnes & Noble and indie stores across the US. There are more and more stores that only have K-pop in places with a large population that consume K-pop, such as New York and LA especially.” In this new era, TOMORROW X TOGETHER is growing its fanbase by continuously and gradually approaching not only longtime K-pop fans but also those who found out about K-pop through BTS. This might explain why TOMORROW X TOGETHER is increasingly appearing in major media in the US, starting with their appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live, live performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Late Late Show with James Corden, and making it out to the red carpet at the AMAs (American Music Awards). The group is making K-pop’s ever-growing realm their own, with music, messages and a social media presence that all resonate with Gen Z around the world.

After attracting more and more attention to themselves in the US with their albums, songs, TikTok and appearances on talk shows and at awards ceremonies, TOMORROW X TOGETHER brought everything to fruition at Chicago’s famous music festival Lollapalooza last July. Their performance at the fest, which attracted attention even before the show when they became the first K-pop group to be in a main time slot, was proof positive of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s popularity in the US. During the show, the audience broke into song, singing “Anti-Romantic” together, and even though the festival isn’t set up for typical K-pop fan participation, a considerable number of the audience were holding up their light sticks. “Industry officials on the scene said things like, ‘It was really attention-grabbing—I think the group will be even bigger next year,’” Park recalled. The resounding response to TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s performances like the one at Lollapalooza have stirred up even more buzz and only solidified their popularity further. Speaking to social media posts, Min said that “TXT ranked third in the amount of buzz after j-hope and BTS while Lollapalooza was going on.” In other words, the performance not only helped “in terms of awareness for local media and industry people,” but also served as a chance to “unite and solidify the fandom.” She also pointed out that “sales of old albums increased after the tour and Lollapalooza.” Clearly, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s amazing performances alongside a live band have made people who were already somewhat interested in TOMORROW X TOGETHER into proper fans. Since their debut, the group has made steady inroads with the American public, proving with their onstage skills what makes them the “it band.” And the popularity the group has created for themselves throughout the entire process led to them appearing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on ABC. Park pegged their appearance on the show as another important moment for TOMORROW X TOGETHER, saying, “The New Year and Thanksgiving season is a major season not just for music fans but for everyone. minisode 2: Thursday's Child was number 192 on the Billboard World Albums Artists year-end chart in 2022, making it the only K-pop album to chart after BTS’s Proof. According to the US Year-End Music Report for 2022 released by Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), minisode 2 sold 227,000 physical albums, placing it third in the US in terms of album sales. Although the album also came in at number four on the Billboard 200 with 65,500 copies sold in its first week, the report shows that it continued to perform well in the long run. minisode 2 was released in May last year but continued to chart on the Billboard 200 until after Lollapalooza for a total of 14 weeks. In addition, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION has topped the 200 since its first week on the chart and continues to be popular. “The album did very well in its second week,” Min said, “and I think this is an indicator proving how popular the album is.” Steady performance well into their albums’ release periods and their continued sales growth proves the steady climb TOMORROW X TOGETHER is making, and The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION’s number one on the Billboard 200 is evidence of the group’s popularity. It’s been the case throughout TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s history: The group started out young and embarrassed by the horns growing on their heads. As for my takes, they are a bit shifted here and there but I'll do my best to make it fun!

Jinwoo: Freelance Singer

A freelance singer (who plays bass) that had a lot of trouble getting into the spotlight depsite working his ass off everyday to the point where he would have a sore throat and his fingers would go numb, one day caught the attention of Ashborn and his manager Kandiru. He made the guy go extremly viral and, a few days after meeting him again as a waiter (a side job that Jinwoo had bc singing wouldnt pay the bills) he asked if he wanted some help to get himself into the spotlight and presented him to a lesser known, but insanely rich, songwriter: Yoo Jinho. Kandiru didnt understand why Ashborn liked the boy, but after hearing some original music that Jinwoo and Jinho made, it all began to make sense. I think his genre would be a range of Indie rock, Pop rock, R&B soul and Hip Hop Rap. I think his low voice would be good for those kinds of genres, kinda like a mix of Ado or NF.

Haein: Anonymous K pop Artist

Her voice could fill quite a lot roles within the music industry so she never had a genre that defined her. With her connections during her time as sports icon, she managed to make a name for herself as "that annonymous Kpop artist". Her dances always tended to go viral despite no one knowing how she looks like (she puts on a mask bc she likes her privacy and even if she was a sport star no one areally makes the link connections since she had ended that career a long time ago to pursue her own music dreams) and some of her songs have been on the best anime seasons so far. Her hidding her face (and also her body by wearing extravagant metal cosplays) was also something unusual in the Kpop industry famous for showing one's appearacne to earn more fans. And though many placed rumors that she was ugly, it didnt stop people from liking her songs at all.

Juhee: Country Girl

She is not that well known but her songs do go popular with a lot of elderly people nowadays, especially since her folklore and country music brings a sense of familiarity and warmth that not many songs in the manistream tend to have nowadays. She writes her own scripts and was the one to teach Jinwoo about music and bass when she was starting out. They still keep in contact afterwards even as Jinwoo keeps getting more and more busy with all the tours he has to make. Cottage core lesbians always place her songs on their playlists.

Jongin and Yoonho: Musical Rivals

Two men who grew up in very different livelyhoods but had a fascination with broadway musicals all the way until university. Yoonho likes the more traditional approach and is usually more known through his theater and opera acts while Jongin's fame grew by doing musical covers on Youtube and voicing characters on shows that often included singing (think of it like Hazbin hotel, disney movies, pich perfect, glee). They both respect each other but absolutely trie to throw as much shade and salt towards each other on twitter as possible.

The fans dont know degration and isnults is what each other are into, which is how more often than not they end up in fandom wars as well.

Somewhere out there, a producer is thinking whenevr or not her should make a live action movie and have them both kiss at the end.

Thomas Andre: Country Rock

This man own whatever his weird but amazing genre it is. Man does not know the limits of what decency is. Hes gotten canceled so many times, is a troll with his songs, once made a song with a bunny suit on knowing no one could talk shit about it or else they would get folded like a tortilla. His career as a singer over rides the criminal and boxer careers he had when he was young. He makes like, two songs per year, goes into hideout, and then comes back with two banger songs before going back into hideout again. The drums are his thing, which Laura tends to buy a lot of since he keeps breaking them a lot of the times due to his excitement.

He also wrote some gospel music for his mom.

No one knows this but he has fallen in love with opera.

Esil Radiru: Universal Idol

No one knows how this girl came to be but her rock and electronic music always light up bars and discos around the world, she has a way with her music and has managed to become so popular in such a short ammount of time that many have thought she might have made a deal with the devil himself. The reality is that she just has really good marketing and her parents are rich.

Liu Zhigang: China's Most Famous Actor and Singer

From a young age he's wanted to become a singer and put all of his effort into being one. He cares a lot about his looks, especially his hair, most of the fanbase adores him for being so unique in that sense as well. His extroverted attitude, his unapologetic way of talking and singing in as many donhuas as possible is what draws so many fangirls to him.

Disclaimer: the story was born based on me mashing up two things I'm obsessed about (Kpop and Anime), so please bear with my weeb + kboo ass in the writings if many stuffs doesn't really make sense. Also, this was huge excuse for me to see them wearing SOPA and Hanlim school uniform ;w;

Profile

Momo (18) is a 3rd grade SOPA student, and an idol trainee, who's recently terminated her contract with her previous agency as they kept delaying her debut after she trained for 5 years and ended up didn't include her into their new girl group lineup. She choose to focusing back on studying to enter a university, while still wishing for her dream to perform on a stage become true sooner or later.

Toshiro (16) is in his 1st grade in Hanlim, a music prodigy and an aspiring producer who loves to work alone, both for his practical music assignment at school or even his personal project due to his idealism. He didn't grow much friendships before meeting Momo and the music crew.

Brief Story

Toshiro receive an invitation from his school senior, Renji, to join a newly made independent label he's being part of as a producer, after knowing his music genre preference and ability. Toshiro a bit hesitant to join first, but after Renji mentioned the one of the figures who formed the label, Toshiro decided to consider it, with intention of joining.

The two teenagers met when Toshiro was on his way to a meeting when his bus passes SOPA high school. On the other hand, Momo just finished a school errand that cause her to went home later than usual.

Toshiro gave her an empty seat - unconsciously - when she actually just laid her eyes towards him - due to his combination of white hair and charismatic yet child-like visual - in awe. She choose to sit on the given space at the end.

Both of them thought it will only be one time encounter, until Momo accidentally left her planner on her seat and Toshiro noticed it right away. The incident makes him had no other choices but to chase her and return the item, despite he's fully aware it will cause him coming late to the meeting, for some reason.

Toshiro manage to catch her by pulling her backpack backward abruptly, which makes Momo both shocked and furious by his rudeness. Toshiro return the planner and Momo took it with a quick thanks. She then asked further if he saw any content from the planner - since the cover were transparent - which he immediately decline. Before he get a chance to about to ask back, she already permit herself to attend an academy.

Toshiro manage to attend right in time for the meeting, and even pass the production trial test from the crew's leader, Shinji. Later that day, after the meeting, one of the crew member, Rangiku, shows excitement because their upcoming sixth and last member would be a girl. Toshiro shows no interest, but overheard the information that the last member is on the same age with Renji, so Toshiro expected the member is two years older than himself.

Two days later, he's surprised to spot Momo on his label building, and Shinji revealed she's the hidden last member. He later mentioned one of their first big project is to debuting Momo, and Toshiro will be in charge of the song production, with Shinji and Rangiku as his supervisors.

Months have passed. Momo and Toshiro grew closer as the producer and the future artist in the same label. One night, Toshiro, who just finish his recent work from studio, found Momo still dancing in the practice room. They both took a walk for coffees, where Momo shares her struggles with Toshiro being a great listener to her. She finally told him why she was mad toward Toshiro during their first meeting and even accused him for peeking through her planner, as there's a contract termination letter inside it. Later she express her thoughts of leaving the entertainment industry forever if this time she failed again. Toshiro reassure her that she'll do well, and confess about how she's been his muse ever since they worked together, hence he wished she didn't stop chasing her dream. Momo was touched to hear it, and felt grateful to ever met not only a genius, but unexpectedly kind-hearted producer like him in such a harsh industry.

They maintain their relationship platonically, but that blooming time still greets them after all. They date each other some times after Momo debut (which she had graduated from highschool), but they only revealed their relationship to public after Toshiro's graduation, because the crew kept getting involved in several magazine pictorials after each of them make their own releases and held fanmeeting tour left and right. The photoshoot team also keep putting HH in the same model unit, that fans starting to ship them. Knowing this, they later saw it as a green light to confirm it to the public.

Fun fact = I've been clowning myself with the doodle above as I just found out the real life SOPA and Hanlim school were located on opposite edges of Seoul city respectively. Therefore, it's impossible for them to go to school in the morning together. But then, this mistake just create a cuter scenario;

Toshiro ((MOST LIKELY)) would travel all the way from Songpa district to Guro district and wait for Momo in front of her school gate. Then, they would walk to the bus station with joined hands while Momo expose a huge amount of PDA/aegyo toward Toshiro despite she's being the older one //laughs//

For a meantime, this is what I have in my head. I can't promise anyone to continue the story and explain further details that I missed, but if I ever have something in mind about this AU again, I will upload it randomly haha. GIRL MONTAGE is an eight member girl group that debuted on MARCH 18, 2018 under GARDEN LABS. they debuted with the song GIRL'S CAPITALISM with mixed reviews from netizens. the song didn't get popular until 2023, FIVE YEARS after the group's debut.

despite their underrated status as a girl group when debuting, GIRL MONTAGE would slowly begin to gain popularity throughout their rookie year. however, their slow gain in popularity would come to a halt when member ROSIE would announce that she would be leaving the group in DECEMBER 2018. losing one of their most popular members without any explanation, many netizens would voice their concern as Garden Labs never officially explained what happened.

however, despite losing a member, GIRL MONTAGE would continue forward until MARCH 2019 when the group would be surrounded in a scandal. a twitter account would claim that former member Rosie had left the group not due to personal reasons, but instead because of "bullying among the members and staff" which immediately caused a witch hunt on the remaining members by netizens. this would force the group to go on a YEAR LONG HIATUS.

in late 2020, the group would eventually comeback; however, not without backlash from the previous scandal. the group would continue to make comebacks and slowly gain more popularity thanks to all the girls' solo careers. everything for the group would seem to be going well until JULY 2022, when Garden Labs announced that member LONDON had passed away. this sudden news of her passing would shock everyone in the k-pop community along with the members who would once again go on a SIX-MONTH HIATUS in order to mourn their passed member.

it wouldn't be until FEBRUARY 2023, that leader and main producer of the group ARA would announce that she and the other members of GIRL MONTAGE had filed a lawsuit against Garden Labs due to mismanagement and not protecting their artist. the court would rule in favor of the eight members and their contracts with Garden Labs would be terminated. this would put the group on an indefinite hiatus.

in SEPTEMBER 2023, Ara would announce that she and ARTEMIS had made their own label L'S MUSIC and that the rest of the members had joined them under this new label.

Im Gyuri was born in Busan, South Korea on September 14, 1998 to office worker parents. She has an older sister who's an art teacher. From a young age, Gyuri had been in love with music. Often singing, dancing, and even putting on small shows for her family when she was younger. It wouldn't be until middle school did she begin to explore music as a career option when her sister gifted her a piano for her thirteenth birthday.

From there, she would begin recording herself playing both covers and original songs and uploading them to youtube under the name ARA. Gyuri would begin to skip school in order to audition to entertainment companies and practicing her singing and dancing. When she was sixteen, Gyuri would be accepted into Garden Labs originally as a producer, but would be put into the trainee system.

For the next four years, Gyuri would train under Garden Labs before she would officially debut under the company as the Leader, Lead Vocalist, and Main Producer for the group in 2018. Along producing 90% of the songs for Girl Montage, Gyuri has also produced for a number of other artist in both K-Pop and the west. When producing she goes by the producer name PRICE X.

Harlow Janet was born in New York City, New York on October 1, 1998 to a hotel owner father and boutique owner mother. Growing up, Harlow lived in the luxury hotel her father owned with her parents. Despite the lack of her father's presence, Harlow would grow up as a happy child who had a love for dance. Artemis Song was born in London, England on February 14, 1999 to a professor father and writer mother. She is an only child. Artemis grew up as a social butterfly, not afraid to talk to anyone. She also had a natural talent for singing with her parents letting her compete in several singing competitions. It wouldn't be until her and her parents traveled to Korea to visit family that she would be scouted by several different companies after participating on the TV show "Sing It!" which also introduced her to the Korean public who all immediately fell in love with her and her personality.

This would continue until her brother went off to college.

When she was in middle school, Yulli would attend an art school and would compete in multiple art shows, place first most of the time. London Kang was born in Stockholm, Sweden on June 12, 1998 to a actor father and an actress mother. She has an older sister and brother. Growing up, London was always in the spotlight thanks to her famous parents. London, herself, would also begin acting at a young age, appearing in several commercials and even became a regular on the Korean drama "Happy Ways."

However, London would realize that she didn't want to act anymore and would instead want to pursue a career as an idol. Rosa Jung was born in Seoul, South Korea on April 1, 1997 to convenience store worker parents. She has two younger brothers and a sister. Growing up, Rosa had to take care of her younger brother while her parents worked. Compared to her former group members, Rosa grew up in a struggling household where her parents worked day and nightshifts in order to provide for themselves.

When she was in middle school, Rosa took a likening to idols and was inspired by idols like BoA and Girl's Generation. Rosa would pass her audition at Garden Lab's and be one of the last trainees to join the group that would eventually become Girl Montage. In 2018, Rosa would debut under the stage name "Rosie" and was the group's Main Dancer and Lead Vocalist. She was also quickly seen as one of the most popular members.

However, her idol dream soon changed as Rosa seen her popularity and began bullying the other members for not being as successful as her. This would cause a huge rift between Rosa and the other members to the point that she began hating all of them. It's funny you should ask that! I actually have a few songs that I feel sum up the character's personalities pretty well.

Garret's song would have to be From the Start by Laufey. (I also head canon that it's his voice singing that cover.) As for music genre I feel like his tastes are a bit more classic. He likes smooth jazz, classical, and Frank Sinatra.

Marcelo's Song would have to be Ella Baila Sola by Eslabon Armado y Peso Pluma . In terms of music genre, he listens to anything that's trending, popular, and remotely latin. Though his absolute favorite genre is Bachata. He grew up listening to it thanks to his family and it has a special place in his heart. He also adores dancing to it and would be ecstatic to teach you how to dance.

Camilla's song was difficult to figure out, but for now I'd have to say it's Jenny (I Wanna Ruin Our Friendship) by Studio Killers . As for genre's she really listens to anything and everything. I would say her current obsession would have to be k-pop, but she isn't a stan of a specific group, at least not yet.

Rita's song would be Labour by Paris Paloma. Music wise, she would probably be a huge fan of studying/ambience/kpop cafe playlists. Just something she can put on in the background while she reads.

Teagan's song is a little on the nose, but I can't help but think of Love me, Love me, Love me by Kikuo. As for music, They're really into techno and high beat/intensity rave music. That being said, they'll also include a lot of popular songs into their dj sets so it's a bit more enjoyable for the rest of the party goers.
