The late afternoon sun covered your bedroom in a warm glow. The widows were open, allowing the sound of people talking below to float inside along with the summer breeze. It felt like heaven and no one could blame you for turning your 30-minute nap into a 2-hour ordeal. Even Naruto stayed away from your room, knowing that you rarely slept. At one point, after realizing you would be sleeping for longer than 30 minutes, he took off to go train.
You didn't know this, of course, so when you awoke to the sound of footsteps you assumed it was him. The door to your room opened and you fought back a sigh, maybe he was just checking to see if you were still asleep. It was silent for a minute and you assumed that he had left, but then you felt your bed dip.
"Naruto" you grumbled, shoving your face into your pillow in annoyance "There's money in my bag, if you're hungry go get some ramen" There was no answer, only silence. If you didn't have a half asleep brain, you would have registered that the person was staring intently at you.
"Naruto" you huffed out.
A hand touched your shoulder, and the size of it made your eyes shoot open. This was not Naruto.
Your gasp of fright sounded out, head shooting up from your pillow as you flew from the bed. Your hands shook as you took in the grinning Sannin on your bed, and if you weren't scared half to death you would have been happy to see him.
"Morning sleeping beauty"
You sighed, hand clutching your chest as you fought back the fear and adrenaline. "What the hell Jiraiya, you scared the shit out of me!" His laugh bounced around the room, and you wondered if the people below could hear the ordeal that had just happened. Your cheeks heated up in embarrassment knowing Kakashi would be ashamed of you for letting your guard down. "I just wanted to surprise my favorite girl"
Your eyes narrowed, lip jutting out in a pout as you crossed your arms. "I thought I was your only girl" your words echoed in the room and his shit-eating grin didn't make you feel better. However, how he looked at you told you not to worry about that. You were the only one he wanted. "Come here" his arms opened, urging you to come into them. Your heart was still pounding but you shuffled back towards the bed and him regardless. "Does Naruto know you're home?" you whispered as you climbed onto the bed, slowly moving towards the large man on the other side of the king-size bed. Apparently, you weren't going fast enough, because he was grabbing you the second you were within arms reach.
"Jiraiya" you groaned as your face was shoved into his chest. "I missed you so much" he muttered, body sliding down so you both were laying down once more. He sighed happily, the smell of you surrounding him in a sort of comfort he lost every time he left the village. You rolled your eyes but cuddled into him. "I'm not happy you woke me up, I was having a good dream" you muttered into his shirt, eyes fluttering closed as you tried to remember what the dream was about. You knew it was about the man under you, but it was more domestic.
He hummed, hand going down to grab the blanket. Soon, you felt the blanket being pulled over you both as Jiraiya pulled you deeper into his embrace. "What was the dream?"
You smiled lovingly, finally remembering what it was about. "We were married and had a family... Stupid I know"
Jiraiya's eyebrows furrowed, "Stupid? Why is that stupid?"
You snorted in laughter, Jiraiya? Getting married? Having kids? What a stupid thought. Silenced filled the space but you didn't take in the tension growing. "Do you want that, Y/n?"
Your eyes shot open once more, not from the question, but the sincerity of it. "You don't want-"
"I'm asking YOU if you want that... Do you?"
You sighed to yourself, for the year that you had been dating him, marriage and the like had never been brought up, but you wanted it. Yearned for it actually. "I do" you breathed out, eyes trained on your fingers as they anxiously fiddled with the opening of his shirt. "Which one first?"
Your eyes flicked up to his face in confusion. "Marriage always comes first" you stated firmly. It was the same thing you preached to Naruto. He didn't say anything, only looked down at you blankly. You grew embarrassed, this was so stupid...
"Well, there goes my plan..."
"What-"
Jiraiya stood up, causing you to hit the bed in shock. Thinking he was leaving caused your heart to lurch in your throat. "I- We don't have to do any of that! It was just a dream- What the hell are you doing?"
He had pulled out a box, stopping your nervous ramble in its tracks. "I was going to propose to you somewhere nice. Take you out and the like. But I don't know if I should let you go another second thinking I don't want the same thing you want" He was nervous, despite you telling him that you wanted this. He bounced on his feet before handing you the box. None of this felt formal, but you liked that in a way. Jiraiya wasn't formal. He was spontaneous and never followed protocols on these things.
Your mouth dropped in shock as you opened the box. The ring was beautiful, you could tell it cost him a lot of money. "So... Do you want to make your dream come true?"
Your gaze shot to his very nervous one, causing you to smile. "I don't know... Should I marry a creep who watched me sleep?"
"Y/n" he grumbled out, your soft giggle only caused his chest to tighten more. Plucking the ring from the box, you slid it on your ring finger before examining it in the golden rays of the sun.
"Y/n..."
"Of course, I'll marry you, you idiot"
He raced back to you, scooping you up in a hug as he once more sat beside you in the bed. He placed kisses all over your face and neck, muttering praises and "I love you's" as if his life depended on it. You could feel the way his heart pounded under your fingers, but it soon relaxed as his body melted into yours. "Does Naruto know?" you questioned, causing Jiraiya to laugh lightly.
"The little shit helped me pick it
Your jaw dropped, pushing him away from your neck so you could get a better look at him. "That's why he asked me about my ring size?! He told me it was for an assignment!" Jiraiya chuckled at that, technically it was an assignment, but it was for him... Not the school.
His hand cupped your cheek, a smirk falling into a soft and loving smile. "You're so beautiful"
Once more, your cheeks heated up and it traveled down your neck, "Jiraiya" you groaned out as you tried to avert your gaze from his. The feelings flowing from him were strong and intoxicating, he loved you. If you didn't believe it before, there was no denying it now.
He leaned in, capturing your lips softly with his. The world grew silent around you as you melted into him, hands gripping his shoulders as you tried to hold on for dear life.
"HEY!! Did she say yes Pervy Sage?!"
You broke apart, throwing a glare at the blonde in the doorway. He shot a toothy grin back at you before racing towards you two. You let out a shriek as he jumped onto the bed. Jiraiya shook his head as Naruto tackled you specifically into a bone-crushing hug, causing the two of you to fly back onto the bed below. "Do you like the ring?! I helped him pick it out, I was the one that got the size for him as well. Sorry about lying to you. But in my defense, if I didn't get it to him he was going to stop training-"
"Yes Naruto, I know" you giggled as you brushed a hand through his hair "And yes, I love the ring, now can you please get off of me, you're heavy now"
His eyes beamed with his smile at the thought of you loving the ring, but he didn't move off of you and instead turned to give the Sannin a high five, "I TOLD YOU SHE'D LOVE IT. SHE LOVES THINGS LIKE THAT"
You let out an exaggerated gasp legs flailing as you tried to push the teen off of you. Jiraiya took pity on you and moved to haul naruto off of you. "You're going to crush her you know?" Naruto looked in shock as Jiraiya successfully moved him off of you and onto the floor. You sat up finally, hand rubbing your face in slight annoyance. "Mom, you can't even lift me like that anymore!"
Your eyes narrowed at him. At only 14, he didn't quite know when to shut up. "You must be getting weak"
A gasp flew from your lips, fingers gripping the pillow beside you and flinging it at him "OUT" his boyish giggle sounded out as he evaded your throw, but you weren't done. Grabbing the pillow behind Jiraiya, you moved to get in a better position to whip it at him. "Careful" Jiraiya hissed as you went a little too close to the edge of the bed. The pillow slammed into the wall beside the door where Naruto ran out of.
"I'll get you-" your own gasp cut you off as you flew off the bed.
A strong arm caught you just in time, your face being mere centimeters from the floor. "My goodness, you two act like children when fighting" Jiraiya grumbled, hauling you back up onto the bed. You smiled sheepishly at him, it didn't matter how old Naruto would be, you'd always fight with him like you were brother and sister. "Your relationship with him is confusing in a way. You act like a mom most times, but when you argue? Whew, there isn't an ounce of mom in you then"
You rolled your eyes at his words but knew they were true. "Being just the mom figure isn't fun you know... And I was a kid raising a kid so can you blame me?"
Silence filled the space between you two, and you tried to look out the open door listening to see if Naruto was still in the apartment. "He went for ramen and to continue training. Heard him leave as you threw the second pillow" You nodded a this before moving to face him once more, but you didn't expect him to be so close.
"So am I going to have to be the mean parent when it comes to disciplining our kids?"
Your breath caught in your throat at his joking words, causing him to cock his head at you "What, you didn't think I'd let that part of your dream go, did you?". He leaned in closer, lips brushing yours in a teasing manner. "Do we really have to wait till we are officially married... Or can we start practicing now?"
Your breath was shaky as you leaned in to try and capture his lips, but he kept evading them. "Jiraiya" you grumbled, unhappy with the teasing that was happening. He smirked but didn't give you want you wanted, he needed to hear it.
"Do you want a baby now? Because I'll give you one now"
Your moan nearly made his composure break. "Stop teasing me... You know I want that-"
"But you have to ask nicely" he cooed, hands coming up to cup your face, forcing you to look at him and not his lips. Your eyes began to droop, the thought of carrying his child was filling you with desire. Muttering the words would surely seal your fate, and there would be no going back. But that's what you wanted... "Can I please have a baby?"
Once the last word left your lips, you found yourself on your back with Jiraiya hovering over you. Oh ya, you were in trouble now, because he'd give you what you wanted and he wouldn't stop until you were satisfied.
"Anything for you... My sleeping beauty"

Gods, she looked beautiful. All in white and soft florals - you couldn’t believe it really, little Hinata who would faint every time Naruto so much as looked at her would now standing beside him as his wife. He scrubbed up well, Naruto, you had gone with him and Iruka to get his wedding outfit fitted and insisted he get his hair cut for the day too. You’d never be his mother, just as Iruka would never be his father. But you two had tried, you had been the one to feed the screeching blonde baby his 3am bottles in between ANBU missions and eventually had taught alongside Iruka in the Academy. Seeing him now, with the sweet girl who’d bring you lilacs every day as a gift with a shy nod, having said their vows and exchanged rings, you had never been more thankful for sacrifices made along the way.
You also felt old. Even though you were only 27.
The reception began in earnest, guests greeting the beaming couple and Iruka standing beside Hinata’s father thanking passers by.
Having taught all of the kids in the academy, being close to Naruto and soon becoming Lady Fifth’s right hand woman beside Shizune - these kids felt just like yours. You’d mopped up their blood, dried their tears as anyone would for their kids.
You had spent so much time with them, made them take their medicine, trained with them, studied with them, mediated petty arguments (Ino and Sakura) and mended broken hearts with them. Of course, there was also the other reason.
The 6ft, silver haired reason standing in the corner. Your best friend since childhood, your Shinobi partner, your partner in crime and the love of your life.
Not that the last part came to light until about 3 months ago, when before the final battle arrived you woke up realising you might die tomorrow. He might die tomorrow. Life was too short, you’d lost too many people to forsake this chance - even though his fear of losing people he loved, and your fear of losing your other half was what kept that unspoken gap between you all these years. How you came to get together after almost 25 years of pining was a story for another day, however, because today was Hinata and Naruto’s day.
You could see Sakura, in the distance - she’d intercepted a messenger bird and pulled the scroll from its foot, and you saw her smile. Only one person can make your Sakura smile like that. Sasuke. On his journey of atonement, who knows where - but still thinking of Naruto, and Sakura. His friends. His family.
Sai stood hand in hand with Ino, a genuine smile on his face and love in both their eyes. A blushing, wait, blushing Temari stood beside Shikamaru - when did that happen? You all knew it was coming, but didn’t know it had happened. Tsunade caught your eye and winked, raising a glass of champagne in your direction. Shino and Kiba were monitoring Rock Lee and Gai who were causing mild havoc and Choji was at the Hor D’Ouvres already. TenTen stood near Kurenai and Mirai. So many loved ones, but too many missing. Neji should be here for this. Jiraiya would be so proud.
You watch the Kazekage make conversation with Kakashi who looks absolutely miserable among so many people, and you decide to save him. You grab Sai as you walk towards the Hokage and Gaara of the Desert.
“Lord Kazekage, thank you again so much for attending today. It means very much to Naruto to have you here with him today. Hinata too, although I suppose I can just call them the Uzumaki’s now! I believe you were speaking about a memorial portrait for your office, Lord Kazakage? Sai here is our finest artist, perhaps you could speak on the matter?” You interject, with levels of diplomacy you only gathered watching Tsunade daily.
“Indeed, I’m grateful to be here to witness a dear friend’s happy day. Sai, would you speak with me about…” Gaara speaks, wandering away with Sai beside him. An odd pair, one you knew would be busy making incredibly strange conversation for some time.
You glance at Kakashi, a wry smile on your face.
“Better?” You snicker, taking your place beside him.
“Infinitely. The second Naruto can string a sentence together without saying ‘Believe it!’ I’m giving him the hat. I hate all this talking.” He grumbles.
“Even to me?” You act offended.
He just gives you that adorable eye smile, lips quirking under his mask.
“Never to you.” He says, voice quieter, softer.
“You really do look very handsome today, Lord Sixth.” You smile, fixing the lapels of his jacket. He rolls his eyes.
“Not even half worthy of standing beside you, sweetheart. Y’look beautiful today, everyday but today - that’s something else.” He smirks.
“Oh hush you, you told me how nice I looked for 15 minutes this morning.” You huff.
“I believe I showed you how nice I thought you looked too, 3 times before we left the apartment.” He snickered, knowing the images of your tangled limbs in the bedsheets making you almost late would infiltrate your mind again, causing a flush across your cheeks.
“Kashi, gods, we were already nearly late - we can’t go sneaking off to a broom closet now and that’s how this will go if you keep talking like that.” You glance at the sky, trying to clear your mind.
You both laugh at the scene in front of you as Gai and Rock begin doing various exercises and TenTen just rolls her eyes. Everyone looks so beautiful, so happy. The aura of calm and peace surrounding everyone is a reminder of why you came back from the war with many new scars. It was worth it. Seeing these kids, who really deserved a better world - actually living it was more than any of you dreamed.
“Did you see Shikamaru and Temari hooked up?” You elbow your boyfriend.
“Finally. I thought his lazy ass would never do anything about it.” He snorted.
“Bets on it was all Temari.” You respond and he shakes your hand to seal the deal.
“Sakura got a message from Sasuke too.” He chimes in.
“Sai asked me to help pick a ring for Ino too.” You remember shopping with him, in awe of how much of a romantic this boy turned out to be.
There’s silence for a moment between you both.
“Who do you think will be next?” Kakashi asks you.
“For what?”
“To get married.”
“Temari and Shikamaru probably. Ino will want to plan a wedding properly, and I think we’re still a while off Sakura and Sasuke. Who knows, maybe Gai will find his partner in the grand spirit of youth?” You respond.
He huffs a laugh, but doesn’t reply.
“Why, was that not who you thought?” You question him.
“Nah.” He shrugs.
“Who do you think will get married next then?” You poke his cheek.
“Us.” He looks at you, unfazed.
You blink.
And blink again.
He just stares at you.
“Is that a proposal, Lord Sixth?” You think he’s joking, so you play along.
“I suppose so.” He nods.
Oh my god, he’s being serious.
“Kashi - are you - do you mean that?” You ask, breathless and grasp his hand.
“You used to say you didn’t want a fancy proposal. Just for someone to say they want to marry you. I want to marry you. The rings at home.” His smile is soft, imperceptible to anyone but you.
You turn to face him, smile bright and lash line glistening with tears.
“You busy tomorrow, Hatake?” You ask, a laugh interrupting.
“Shikamaru can take care of business, you got plans?”
“Wanna get married?”
He just smiles, and glances around to make sure nobodies watching before slipping his mask down and pressing a kiss to the corner of your lips.
“It’s a date.” His voice is wavering slightly.
“Let’s keep it quiet. It’s not our day. Hinata and Naruto leave for their honeymoon tonight.” You whisper to him.
“Tomorrow we’ll ask Gai and Kurenai to meet us at the courthouse. It can be just us four. Then I’ll take Mrs. Hatake home.” He nods, and your heart seizes at the sound of you being Mrs. Hatake within 24 hours.
“I love you, ‘Kashi.”
“I love you too, sweetheart.” He says, pressing a masked kiss to your inner wrist.
“SAKURAAAAA-CHAN! LOOK AT KAKASHI-SENSEI AND Y/N-SENSEI! THEY ARE SO CUTE!” Ino’s voice echoes.
“Some things never change.” You laugh as Kakashi grimaces.

You were a child he found in the middle of nowhere abandoned by your parents. In the middle of nowhere with multiple scratches on your hands and legs from tripping among the tree roots unable to see what was in front of your legs as you kept on calling for your parents.
You didn't know that you were walking deeper and deeper in the forest, you don't know when you stepped into a certain snake’s territory who took notice of you because of your calls for your parent.
“Hn… what are you doing here?”
“I am lost… I cant find my parents…”
Sasuke actually did see your parents, horrible people as he listened to them whisper of abandoning you to the beast that lurked in the forest. He didn't care to listen to their reasons finding that they would make fine meals for a while, they didn't know that they would enter their own doom first.
He was rather full by the time he stumbled into you. So instead of eating you, he thought he would just keep you for a bit... just for a while.
When he feels hungry, you would be right beside him.
Never would he imagine that he would grow attached to a little child like you. So quickly the fear and distrust in your eyes turn to curiosity towards his kind. What was he supposed to do with you?
He let you rest in his lair, yet as days passed and he became hungry he would not touch even a hair of yours preferring to seek food in the forest the wild boars and other creatures.
You were tiny, was his excuse for being unable to eat you that boars were much more bigger than you and could actually make him full, unlike your small frame.
Instead, he was the one bringing you food, the fruits and vegetation he had no interest in which you quietly ate. He tried to give you fish or meat a few times, yet you would only hesitantly look at him confused as to what you should do with a live fish. It only later did he understand that you can't eat raw at least not like that when the rabbit’s legs twitched a few times on the floor right in front of you.
You refused to give the rabbit for a while, unable to watch him eat the poor thing alive when it was a harmless creature. Sasuke had to wait till nightfall when you were sleeping to take the bunny and have his dinner.
The shock and betrayal in your eyes were amusing when you finally realized what happened to the bunny when you woke up. Watery eyes, you glared at him you weren't so naive to think that the bunny ran away Sasuke wasn't so kind as to eat his live meals away from you.
But somehow you always stuck close to him, always happy whenever you received the slightest affection from him. When you realized what the two finger poke Sasuke sometimes does on your forehead means whenever he leaves the cave and you grab him by the hand. You were scared that he would abandon you just like your parent did, it was his way of showing affection.
Not that he would ever admit it.
When he saw your feet cut from the sharp rocks of the forest he forced you to stay in one place and went out to get leather bringing it to make some shoes for you to use. It wasn't the best but they worked in protecting your feet.
Sometimes Sasuke would let you follow him, getting fruits or water, when you would again pull his hand he would just grab you by the waist and head out. Sometimes placing you on his shoulder he let you grab the fruits in the trees, holding you tightly yet not enough to break your ribs as you wanted to grab the water this time from the river. He never said it but he was a little scared that you might be taken away from the current.
He got used to it, he had grown so attached to you. So when one day when he just came back from a hunt he could not find you in the cave, yet he could smell… smell something else here… humans and blood.
He forgot about everything with only you in mind he left the cave. You have to be safe, you must.
He would be angry at you if you died.
The screams and cries that were all too familiar to him made him speed up, he was closed.
He killed many that day right in front of you, as you called out his name begging his help. He didn't care about the blood that wasn't his splattered on his body and drenched his hands as he harshly grabbed you pulling you to him. He could hear your heartbeat, your cries as your that touched his shoulder… warm.
You belonged to him, and no one is going to take you away. Tell would have to kill him first but he would never let that happen. That was the day when he started becoming more controlling, and observant of what you do. He will keep you close and safe from the world and not even you would have any say.

I've been rewatching Naruto lately and it made me have a dream about this girlie and decided to turn her into my oc. Her name is Ira and she's a very sweet genjutsu user. Backstory under the cut! Don't expand if you don't want to read it and are only here for the art.
Ira was born in the Land of Sound (Oto no Kuni), she has little recollection of her clan, not even remembering her own family name. The only thing she knows is that her parents and relatives were one of the many murdered during the conquering of the now Otogakure. Being an orphan for as long as she can remember, people started thinking she was maybe a lost member of the Uzumaki clan thanks to her red hair, and that rumour led to her being targeted by many people, but the only one that managed to catch this very elusive and cunning child was Orochimaru. Ira became an experiment, multiple attempts to push her body beyond it's limits happened and some of Orochimaru's biggest failures of modifications were attributed to her lack of constitution and chackra. The girl quickly proved to not be an Uzumaki afterall, but that did not stop the research. One of the many attempts Orochimaru had made to improve the girl was the creation of an "artificial" sharingan, which of course, failed, turning her visually impaired and with useless red eyes. The only experiment somewhat sucessful was her vocal cords. Orochimaru had noticed the girl would often sing to calm herself down while in captivity, so a enhancer was put in her throat. With this new ability, she could perform a powerful genjutsu that eventually helped her escape the snake's laboratory. Whilst trying to find a safe place to rest and maybe forget what happened to her all throughout her childhood, she ended up meeting a disguised Konoha kunoichi by the name of Ema, who took her in during her time in the Land of Sound and taught Ira all she knew about being a ninja. Her peaceful life however, was short lived. One day while foraging, Ira watched as shinobi descended upon Ema, taking her life and forcing Ira to use her voice genjutsu. Thanks to Ira's still weak constitution and low chackra reserve, the genjutsu wasn't fully effective, one of the shinobi managing to break away from it and going to slash her neck. At that moment, Ema's training kicked in and Ira avoided the fatal blow, instead having her face torn by a kunai cheek to cheek. She passed out due to the shock, the ninjas deciding to leave her to bleed to death, but the girl proved more resilient than one would believe. She woke up, now scarred with a forever open mouth and a mother figure lost. She took Ema's shirt, necklace, sword and bandana (removing the symbol of Konoha) and promised to grow strong enough to earn Ema's attire. Ira became a sort of legend in Otogakure, not many people even believing "The Death Song Shinobi" was real, but after the Fourth Shinobi War, she became less shy about her efforts and got more involved in the reconstruction of the village as a proper shinobi one. She is now the sensei of many genin of the sound and proudly wears Ema's attire as she peforms her duty.
Ira is the same age as the old shinobi of Konoha (Kakashi, Iruka, Kurenai, Guy...). She tried to avoid getting caught in any of the wars and battles that happened during her younger years, although she did travel to the places where battles were ocurring. She spent less time on the battlefield and more time helping civilians relocate into safety and finding food for any refugees she came across. A real "Robin Hood" type ninja, 'till this day she refuses to put an identification symbol on her bandana believing that "little does it matter where i come from, a person in need won't look at your head when you offer a helping hand." She thinks Konoha is a swell place, afterall, they were the ones that raised and approved of Ema as a shinobi. She has met the retired rokudaime, and thinks he's way too calm for a former leader. Ira often tries to get a reaction out of him by attacking his pride, but he does not seem to take her very seriously, which drives her INSANE.
Ira is very serious while on duty, but quickly lights up once she is on her break. In Otogakure, she is often called "The Two-Faced Ninja" for how suddenly her behavior changes when next to her students. From a serious, matter-of-fact shinobi, to a cool, cringey, grandma figure. Although she works in the renovation of the Hidden Village of Sound, she has managed to avoid ever dealing with Orochimaru, claiming that it is best for everyone's sake if she never sees his face again. "It takes a lot of concentration out of me to not let my song affect my allies, and let's just say that if i have him in front of me, i won't care for who i harm with my voice." Ira wants what's best for the village, longing to see her land as how Ema used to describe it before the conquering. She wants people to thrive and for no child to ever have to live the way she has lived thanks to wars she didn't understand.
She is the sensei of many genin, but her favorite group is Kirima, Mitura and Keiga (i'll probably draw them in the future), which are the same age as Boruto's group.

Ryuga Backstory + Story
There is no backstory in the anime, only for the Manga. Since these two are different People assume you cant use them together. But i found that they not only work together but could explain some things which were not explained in the anime. So this is a Headcanon which will only use the source material and logic ( to fill in the blanks which were not given ) to give Ryuga a backstory ( No rewrites of the given Plot in the anime ).
Given facts of the Manga:
There is a Dragon Clan who act like the Uchiha Clan from Naruto ( same looks, Traditions, Power related to blood, a clan head who has to keep the line pure and be the strongest, etc. ). Ryuga is a ancient king of this clan, over 100 but no time given. He was always destined for L Drago. He slept for a long time until Doji and Ryuto woke him. No explanation how he got to sleep. Sakyo is from the same line as Ryuga and the next dragon Emperor, but considered an Halfling. His father nor any other relatives before him where Halflings. This is actually hindering him from reaching full dragon Power. No explanation why this was allowed to happen when blood purity was this important to power and for the clan until this moment. Sakyo met Ryuga after he had Dragoon. Ryuga and Ryuto actually got along for a moment.
Given facts from the anime / Manga:
L Drago had created the dark power by absorbing the negativity of humans. He was used by many evil People who were not related to Ryuga. He was locked away after his influence kept coming into the way of Coma village. Ryuga used lightning L Drago for the first Time. Ryuga changed Character between all 3 Seasons. His opinion of Doji changed as well. ( worked with him, called him crazy, hated him ). Ryuga has special Powers. There is no mention or working together of the Dragon Clan. Sakyo got his Dragoon from a legendary Blader with hints of Ryuga.
How everything fits together:
Before the Sleep:
L Drago came from the Sky with the Power of absorption, which includes emotion. He bonded to a human who would become influenced with Dragon Power and the founder of the Dragon Clan. L Drago used his influence to get more Dragons to come for these Clan Members and change them too. After a while the Human died and the L Drago couldn’t bond with any other member. He would remain as a Symbol and during the years the clan grow, still help but miss his Person. Ryuga ,who was an reincarnation of the Founder, was born and L Drago publicly showed he wanted to bond with him. It couldn’t work right away since Ryuga was still a child and should wait until he is older and stronger before taking L Drago power on. Some evil People were afraid of the Power the Clan would get and decided to trick Ryuga into a trap and lock him up. After that they attacked the clan and stole L Drago, but were smart enough not to use him. They left to `the other side of the world` to keep as much distance between them and the Clan.
During the Sleep:
L Drago didnt want to lose his Human again so he started to drain live energy out of his captors and give it to Ryuga. They started to slowly die one after the other until another evil Person, who didnt know about the Dragon Clan, saw this power and stole L Drago for himself. He was the first Person to use L Drago after the Founder. L Drago couldn’t teleport yet and would stop spinning before ever reaching Ryuga. So he decided to let this Person keep using him and try to influence him into moving where he wanted to go. At the same time he kept draining Power to keep Ryuga alive. His Plan was to show enough power so that his users would get replaced ,after he drained them and to influence them until he was close enough to Ryuga that he didnt need them anymore. During that he excedently drained the evil emotion as well, until he was overran with them. He started taking more and more lives he didnt need and lost his memory’s. But still gave the now corrupted Power to Ryuga and kept on going into his direction ( Instinct ). Pegasus stopped him before he arrived, but he had enough live forced stored to continue keeping Ryuga alive until Doji found him.
Doji / Fusion before Battle Bladers:
He found a corrupted Ryuga with the Help of Ryuto and the knowledge of the Clan. Ryuga couldn’t understand the language, lost his memory’s and immediately collapsed after his releasing. Doji saw this opportunity ( that Ryuga wouldn’t ask for the Clan and would have to relay on someone ) and decided he wouldnt share Ryuga with the Clan. He attacked Ryuto and the Rest and made sure nobody would follow him. This is why the Dragon Clan didnt work with Doji. Ryuga mentality was that ne needed Doji but had no normal emotion left to actually build a bond with him. It was mutually using of each other only. Than Ryuga located L Drago and with both corrupted, not understanding their bond, they made each other worse.
Battle Bladers Preparation until end:
The clan knows where Ryuga is but saw that this is not the King they wanted to get back. So they kept their distance. After Ryuga left they wanted to leave him alone. The reason why Ryuga killed Doji was nothing personal. Doji lost his usefulness and Ryuga was incapable to build an actual bond with him. So there was no reason not to get the one thing he cared about from Doji, which was Power.
Ryuga gets Meteo L Dragon:
When Ryuga freed L Drago of the darkness his Memory’s came back. He reverted into a Person who knows a lot and was raised to lead his Clan. However he had no time to actually progress what that means for him know, nor did he know what happened to the clan. His opinion on Doji changed in retrospect. Ryuga was under the darkness power for wanting to destroy the earth. Doji always had this Plan. In Ryugas eyes Doji was crazy and not someone he wants to work with again but he didnt hate him.
After the Spiral Force:
Not only did Ryuga prove to the world ( Dragon Clan ) he was no longer insane, he also wanted to confront his past now ( had some experience in fixing his mistakes with Gingka and Tsubasa ). He traveled to one of the Clan Gaathering Places and found out he was not alone. He was asked to retake his place as the head but he had to refuse. Ryuga was not of this time and would not make a good leader because of it. This caused a Problem since the last Clan Head died without getting a pure blooded child, like it was normally tradition. Usually the head is protected until his decendance is guaranteed. However since they saw Ryuga they just assumed the Head would be replaced anyway so they led him go without protection and he died. He wanted to go since he loved a different wife and had a child somewhere. Ryuga is against getting a child of his own but promises that he can look out for this Halfling and they should do the same. During his travels he locks halfhearted for the child and more specific for other clan members. He wants to fight strong bladers so they are the perfect opponent. He also now knows his Purpose. He is the technically still the Clan Leader and should prove to the rest of the clan as well as the world how strong he is. His obsession of Power comes from his reasoning that the Dragon Emperor is still a thing and as such he has an obligation to prove his power. He traveled to the Vulcan a dragon was supposed to live in to see if it was really true. Or to be more specific it a clan Member was there. He stayed a little since it was a good training place until the Star Fragment happened. From there on he had stronger opponents to beat and prove his power to. After all he has to stand for his Clan and for his Titel now. His Mission is to destroy.
Metal Fury:
Ryuga has reason to go after power and prove himself to nemesis. This doesn’t envolve the Clan who are still locking for the child. He hates Doji because the Clan told him about what Doji did to them. After he lost to Rago he not only was reminded of his Promise ( he should already have fulfilled the moment Kanta damaged L Dragon ), but he had a duty to protect his clan / save the world. He gave Kenta his power and teleported back to the clan.
Immedently After Fury:
Ryuga is now a humbled Person. He has an obligation to Protect the clan but knows now that Power alone doesn’t make him a good Protector. He needs to relie on others ( This probably was hard for him since the trap in the beginning was probably made based on his trust ). This Trust did evolve thanks to Kenta journey and the clan healing him. The clan inform Ryuga of all infos and of the child they found named Sakyo. Ryuga is still to beat to meet the kid himself but used L Drago to call a new Dragon Bey into existing just like the Founder did all those years ago. He ordered Kenta, who was told Ryuga is still alive, to bring this bey to Sakyo. The clan friends will take care of Sakyo learning of his power and destiny. Should he prove he is able to become the head, even as Halfling, he will be allowed to become fully part of the clan. Ryuga meanwhile will heal and with his new understanding will evolve L Drago Destructor into L Drago Guardian.
Before Zero G:
Ryuga is fully healed and travels alone and visits other members from time to time. When he sensed Sakyo is nearby he fights and talks to him. Sakyo understands his destiny now better than ever.
Conclusion:
This facts of the Manga actually fit rather well into the Anime. What do you guys think. Did i miss anything which could ruin or evolve this Backstory further.

Lay Down Your Arms
“Sasuke,” Naruto mused. “Where are you now?” His feet felt heavy and the blizzard around him whipped his face, making it feel raw. “Don’t you give up on me…” He huffed a painful breath, clutching his chest. “I’m…coming…”
His vision blurred and he stumbled in the thick blanket of snow that came up to the knees of his orange pants. “How are you feeling right now?” He thought. “Does it hurt you as much as it does me?”
The storm surrounding him was the worst he’d ever seen. Was it a jutsu? It felt as if someone was trying to keep him from Sasuke. He wouldn’t let them.
“Itachi…you got your revenge on him. You lived for that revenge, but,” he recalled the man who claimed to be Madara Uchiha and his story about Sasuke’s brother. “If that was true. If he really was just following orders…your revenge…it must have left you feeling so…empty.”
Naruto hadn’t noticed but his fingers and toes had lost feeling long ago.  Paradoxically, he’d removed his tan snow cloak a while back because his shivering had stopped as well. “Now, I hear you want revenge on The Leaf. Is that true?” He struggled to take a step in the heavy snow so he channeled a chakra stream to his feet to keep him on top of it; it was shaky at best, but he wouldn’t let that get to him. “I’ll just have to ask you when I find you. Afterall, you’ve pissed a lot of people off y’know?” He let out a short bitter laugh and lost his footing, falling onto the surface of the snow with a grunt.
His arms shook when he attempted to raise himself and he noticed his fingers looked a little blue against the snow. His heart ached again, and he fell once more; this time he rolled onto his side. “The Land of Lightning, Gaara, Granny, the other Great Nations, even Sakura,” he contemplated each in vivid detail as he struggled to breathe. “They all want you…dead…”
He closed his eyes, thinking it would only be for a moment, but he didn’t know how cold he was, nor could he sense his slowing heart. “I don’t want to lose you,” he ruminated in the darkness of his mind. Before he knew it, he’d slipped away into unconsciousness, his body reflexively gasping for breath.
When he woke, it had been over a week. He was laying on the ground of a fangtooth enclave somewhere still in The Land of Iron. There was a fire burning about three meters from him.
He moaned, feeling a horrible stinging in his limbs when he tried to move them, “Hrmhgh…what the… what’s going on?”
“You’re awake? About damn time, loser,” said a voice much deeper than his own.
“Huhn?”
“You are there aren’t you?”
Naruto moved his head slowly in the direction of the voice. Who he saw caught him off guard. The form sulking in the shadows of the fire was all too familiar. From the midnight blue disorderly growing hair, to the red clouded cloak, to the cold dark eyes peering back at him, there was no mistaking it. “Sasuke?” He barely managed to vocalize.
“Hn. You’ve seen better days,” Sasuke teased his former teammate half-heartedly. In truth, Naruto was looking terrible. Sasuke had stumbled across his nearly frozen body coincidentally. Ironically, it was Naruto’s discarded cloak that had led the Uchiha to him. For over a week, Sasuke had watched over him. He had dragged his rigid form back to a makeshift shelter, kept him warm, and nursed his frostbite as best as he could, but a part of Sasuke didn’t believe that Naruto would ever wake. He’d been healing, but his body was wasting away without food.
Naruto was awake though and he was eager to chat. Ignoring the pain in his limbs, he rocketed up, nearly screaming, “Ah! Sasuke! Wh-where’s Kakashi Sensei and Sakura?”
“How should I know?”
“Huh? You don’t…” A wave of dizziness came over the blond and he wavered.
Sasuke caught him. “Take it easy, idiot,” he warned, handing Naruto a bamboo canteen.
Naruto drank. He hadn’t realized how thirsty he was. When he was sated, the canteen was empty and he began to talk again, “I know the truth about Itachi.”
Sasuke tensed, moving away from Naruto who barely remained upright. “What you’ve been doing,” Naruto continued. “I get it, Sasuke.”
Sasuke sucked his teeth. “Naruto, you couldn’t possibly get it.”
This conversation repeated itself over and over. Each day they were trapped, Naruto got a little closer to sharing his feelings with Sasuke and each day his body grew weaker. Naruto swore to save Sasuke from revenge and the chaos caused by it, but stubbornly, Sasuke denied Naruto at every turn. He was worried however, that whatever jutsu had trapped them and was blocking anyone from finding them would kill them before Naruto could come close to saving him.
The wind howled for days more. The two survived on melting snow for water although the both of them were getting thin. Naruto tried once more to connect with Sasuke, “Y’know, Sasuke, one bad move and I coulda been like you.” Sasuke shifted; though his back was turned to Naruto, he was listening. “Back in the day…the whole village hated me because of the Ninetails that’s inside of me and I hated them right back. I thought about getting revenge on everyone too. I almost gave in.” Naruto grabbed at his stomach and groaned, interrupting his thought, “Man am I starvin’!”
He wasn’t lying. Naruto couldn’t hold a conversation without bringing up food anymore. Sasuke was starving too.
“Where was I?” Naruto rolled onto his back spreading his weak arms out on the cool ground. “Oh right! I sure feel better knowing that you’re here with me y’know? We’re more similar than yer given credit. Just a couple o’ brats dealing with way more stuff than we should have to. Guess that’s why I wanna talk to you so much. I feel sort of giddy because I feel like we can finally start to understand each other. I guess Sasuke, in that way…reaching you has been my goal.”
After all that talking, Naruto was tired again. “Hey,” he whispered. “No matter what happens…I’m really glad that I got to know you…”
Sasuke sighed in relief when he heard the signature snore of his talkative friend. He’d hate to admit it, but he was getting to him. If he’d stayed awake, he’d probably have lied to him; he’d have told him something cryptic and threatening. He was grateful for not having to. If they were really going to die there, then the last thing Sasuke wanted was to shatter the bond the idiot was trying to reform on his deathbed.
He considered if it would be a fitting end for the both of them, but his mind screamed, “No!” Then, he drew his blade and did the unthinkable. He turned it on himself.
When Naruto woke up next, it was to the scent of something like pork cooking on the fire. Sasuke stoked the flames with only his right arm. It looked painful.
“No way. You caught something?!” Exclaimed Naruto, drooling. He noticed Sasuke having a hard time serving though so he went at it on his own. “Ya didn’t get hurt hunting did ya? Hehehe! This looks great!”
“Shut up and eat. Idiot,” Sasuke ordered, refusing to explain any further. The two’s paths would not end in that cave. Sasuke had made sure of that. He flinched, feeling a ghost pain where his left arm once was while watching Naruto tear graciously into what he had prepared for him. He too would have to eat to survive. At least that way he would be able to chew over what Naruto had told him and decide his next steps.
I'm late! I'm late! To a very important date! *Catching up!*

I'm really late and I apologize if you are already tired of talking about this, you don't need to answer but I would like to know your opinion on this questions I have, the first time Kakashi told Sasuke to give up on revenge, is he telling him to forget everything? to stop looking for Itachi?, does he want him to learn to forget and move forward?. I ask because one of the anons brought up the topic today and I want to clear this doubt once and for all, since with each debate I get more dizzy. I just want to understand what Kakashi means by that, because I took it as a calm scene but I'm surprised that so many people hate the characters involved (depending on the side you take) because of that scene
Kakashi was not telling Sasuke to forget about everything, or even to forget about Itachi.
If Kakashi legit believed Revenge was 100% bad all the time he would not have
Gone with Shikamaru, Ino and Choji to avenge Asuma’s death.
Waited almost a year to sit Sasuke down and tell him to ‘forget about revenge’
Kakashi see’s revenge eating at Sasuke and destroying everything he has gained. All the bonds he has bleeding away or being cut right off by sasuke because revenge is so important it overshadow’s everything
When Sasuke turned his anger to Naruto and fought him using a jutsu that Kakashi taught him, which is a jutsu that 9/10 times is used to KILL, Revenge no longer just became something Sasuke wanted
It was his only goal and he was willing to destroy everything to achieve it.
Sasuke at the formation of Team Seven wanted revenge but was still aboe to build healthy bonds, seek bonds, and work with other’s. He was not trying to distance himself and sever every bond.
Before he saw his brother again Sasuke
Was the first of team seven to reach out a hand and try to work as a team.
Refused to run away when Kakashi was captured in a water prison and worked out a plan (wordlessly might i add) with Naruto to get his Sensei free
Fought to protect his friends against Orochimaru and Gaara
Jumped in front of an attack meant for Naruto and risked dying without achieving revenge to keep his friend safe
After he met Itachi again and was defeated in .5 seconds revenge became his only focus and he was willing to cut through the friends he had made to achieve it.
The biggest difference is Sasuke before he was Itachi again was looked at Naruto and said he wanted to fight him (during the chunin exams) as a friendly challenge. After he saw Itachi he woke up, looked at Baruto, and said he wanted to fight with anger and a bit of resentment. He especially showed resentment at Naruto’s growth with the rasangan when he saw what it did to the water tower.
Sasuke went from supportive teammate to being so obsessed with strength and his revenge that he was willing to hit Naruto with an attack that could 100% kill and he knows it can.
Kakashi put his foot down when it became apparent that Sasuke’s revenge was eating away at him and destroying the kid who was making friends and bonding.
Sasuke was starting to find some small amount of healing and suddenly that was stripped away and he wanted to achieve revenge at any cost (including going to Orochimaru fully knowing they just wanted to take over his body)
Kakashi isn’t saying ‘forget everything’ he’s trying to pull Sasuke back so he doesn’t destroy himself in desperation to achieve his revenge.
He wants to save Sasuke from the path he see’s him going down (he is unfortunately not in a position to do that mostly due to outside forces (Orochimaru and Itachi mostly) but also to his own restrictions as a character) and realizes to do that Sasuke needs to let go if the revenge he seeks.
That’s not saying ‘forget the ones you lost’
Or even ‘forget you pain’
But to set revenge aside for his own good. To put it aside so it is no longer his only focus and remember that there is more than what we have lost in our lifetimes. Living in the past only hurts (Kakashi knows this from his own inability to move past what he has lost and his own perceived mistakes) and destroys you slowly.

Obaa-Chan VS Uselessness
Tumblr media
Sakura Haruno is and was a character who divided the Naruto Fandom. The most common argument against her was that she was useless. Now what one shall do if you are reborn as her? Our elderly MC for sure will do anything, do not be her!
Or:
An 85-year-old granny and Naruto Fan gets reborn into the Shinobi world as Sakura Haruno. Rejected canon and modeled herself after Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer.
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: The new Sakura
Maybe God or whoever put me in this position had a bit of mercy on me.
First I didn’t wake up Sakura, now my parents, after I screamed about my situation and second I woke up early enough in the morning, to get breakfast and go shopping for some Ninja Gear.
What Sakura owned differed from my style and Mitsuri Kanroji's; I needed to buy a new wardrobe.
Also let me tell you it was so strange being treated like a kid again, like a daughter, after three decades. I lost my parents sadly one after another in a short time.
Kizashi and Mebuki were nice people, without question, but I yearned for my parents since I was young again.
For the moment I ignored the feeling and looked around the clothing store I was in to find my new ninja gear.
Sakura's red battle dress, which I wore, would land in the trash soon.
I didn’t find 100% Mitsuri clothes, but the outfit had the colours of her uniform. A simple T-shirt with white sleeves, mesh armour under and pants in the same cooler. I also wore black fingerless gloves, the Ninja shoes stayed the same and I put my headband sideways on my hips.
Tumblr media
Happy but a lot Ryo poorer I made my way to the Ninja Academy.
It’s a shame I woke up here when Team 7 got started. How should I get my Kenjutsu good enough before we reach the Wave Arc?
Zabuza and Haku are a headache just waiting for me.
I could bemoan my destiny or just wing it and I decided to just wing it.
I knew what was gonna happen, this was a huge advantage already.
No stress.
Let’s get this day over and tomorrow the Bell Test and then let’s see if I could start my Kenjutsu and testing if Breathing Styles worked here.
Thanks to Sakura’s memories I inherited, how else would I have found the clothing store, I reached the Academy without problems.
I slipped into the classroom sitting down on the first free seat I saw. No way, would I stand with the fangirls, worshipping Sasuke.
Slowly the classroom filled and since I didn’t want to sit between Naruto and Sasuke, Ino snatched the place.
She looked so smug.
I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. Even heard hearing the cries of unfairness from the nameless fangirls.
Finally, Iruka-Sensei arrived and the class calmed down. He gave us all a proud and happy smile.
“Starting today, you are all official ninjas, but…You all are still new Genin…”
I started to zoom out since I knew his whole speech and waited when he started calling for the Teams.
And here it comes…
“Next the 7th group, Uzumaki Naruto. Haruno Sakura-”
Happy Naruto jumped up from his seat, shouting a yeah and searched the classroom for me.
“Sakura-Chan! Sakura-Chan! Hey! We are in a team!”, he hollered.
Most expected me to be disappointed, I saw it in their looks, but I’m not this Sakura. I’m my version of Sakura.
So I just gave him a nod.
That everybody was shocked was the understatement of the century. Ino looked at me as if I lost my marbles and Naruto was confused, yet smiled happily.
His happy smile fell as Iruka-Sensei called for the last name.
“Uchiha Sasuke!”
Like a balloon that lost air Naruto grumbled down on his seat, bemoening his destiny.
Ino again searched my eyes, sure waiting that I rubbed it under her nose that I was with Sasuke, I just deadpanned.
This freaked her out more and I could swerve she cursed quietly.
I had to fight a snort.
This could be so much fun to mess with these youngsters. I may be again 13 years old, but I’m still old in mind.
I may have found another hobby.
After Naruto complains about being with Sasuke in a Team and Iruka-Sensei lectures him we are dismissed till our Jonin-Senseis show up to pick us up.
If hellhounds were after her Ino runs up my seat, hissing: “What the hell, forehead?!”
I'm just deadpan.
“If you wanna complain about being in a team with Shikamaru and Choji while I’m with Sasuke take it up with Iruka-Sensei.”
“This is not…Sakura what’s wrong with you? You dress differently and what have you done with your hair? You aren’t yourself!”
Cool as a cucumber I stand up and put my hands in my pantspocket.
“Ino. We are Ninjas now. In the eyes of the village, we are adults. It’s time to grow up.”
Dramatically I leave the classroom, leaving a flabbergasted Ino behind.
I don’t get far enough since Naruto catches up to me.
“Sakura-Chan!”, he yells. The boy needs to learn to keep his voice down. “Let’s eat together since we’re in the same group now.”
For a moment I wondered if we should invite Sasuke, but knowing the Uchiha he wouldn’t come surely. Another time we will try to bond with him.
So I said simply to Naruto: “Sure. Ichiraku Ramen sounds good?”
The joy on his face is so bright he could light up a whole town with it.
Wish I had a camera to take a pic and give it to Hinata. She would surely appreciate it.
He takes my arm and drags me to the Ramen Shop.
Lunch with Naruto is… interesting. The boy really talks about nothing and all. Reminds me of my youngest grandchild, my little Haru.
Like with him, I want to coo at Naruto and just pinch his adorable whisker cheeks, but I can stop myself.
It would be too weird.
Also, I’m trying to make clear to Naruto that I never want to that him.
I quite literally said: “Naruto, this is not a date and never will I date you. I’m simply not interested, but we can be friends.”
He seemed sad, yet happy that I wanted to be his friend.
Let’s hope it got to his thick skull and his crush on Sakura will die in the next few episodes…I should probably say weeks.
This is my life now, not an anime.
Ichiraku’s Ramen was so good, that I will definitely come here to eat.
With thank you’s to Teuchi and Ayame we make our way back to the academy.
Nothing really exciting happens after we sit down by Sasuke. The Uchiha did give me a suspicious look, but I just gave him a friendly nod and talked with Naruto about how good our lunch was.
Slowly but surely the Jonin Senseis came to pick up their teams, and then Iruka-Sensei left too, so we, Team 7, were all alone in the classroom.
I knew we would be waiting for a long time so I got out a notebook and began to draw.
In my old life, I worked as an illustrator for children's books.
I always liked drawing, I even learned to draw in Kishimoto’s Style.
Maybe, in my younger days, I have drawn some NaruHina doujinshi, hust.
Anyway, I was drawing a scene with a mother who had her little girl sitting on her lap, both smiling loving at each other as Naruto shrieked: “He is late!”
“Just sit down and stop looking out the door. It will not make our Sensei appear faster.”, I told him, starting to shade.
“How can I when our sensei is the only one late?! All the other groups went somewhere with their sensei and Iruke-Sensei went already home.”
“We know Naruto, but it doesn’t change anything.”
I don't look up from my drawing while Naruto starts to set up his prank for Kakshi. Sasuke tells him that a Jonin would never fall for such a prank and that’s when I look up and see our dear Sensei Kakashi walk in as the eraser hits him on the head.
I snorted loudly, Naruto laughed, while Sasuke was just disappointed in the Jonin.
“How should I say this…”, musses Kakashi. “My first impression of your guys is…I hate you.”
Sasuke and Naruto frown, while I just deadpan.
We follow Kakshi to the roof.
Time to introduce us to each other.
I let it play out like in the canon timeline and Kakashi starts: “I’m Hatake Kakashi. I have no intention of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dream…I have a few hobbies.”
“What a letdown.”, I whisper to Naruto and Sasuke. “He only told us his name.”
Naruto nods in agreement.
It’s also now his turn.
“I’m Uzumaki Naruto. I like cup ramen. But I like the ramen at Ichiraku that Iruka-Sensei bought for me even more. I hate the three minutes that I have to wait after I put the hot water. My hobby is to eat and compare cup ramen! And my dream is to become greater than the Hokages. I’m going to make all the villagers recognise my existence.”
Kakashi-Sensei tells me now to go.
“I’m Haruno Sakura. I like travelling and learning new things. What I hate is ignorance and blindless hate. My hobbies include drawing, collecting mangas and knitting. My dream is to become a powerful kunoichi and show all chauvinistic pigs how strong a woman can be! Also, I would like to illustrate stories for children and one day have a family. I want to adopt.”
The looks I earn are priceless.
Kakashi-Sensei seems utterly surprised, but approving, Sasuke frowns deepens and Naruto grins at me. I saw how for a short moment he was teary-eyed as I said I wanted to adopt in the future. Surely he thought about how he wished someone had adopted him.
Poor baby.
I will tell Hinata to give you a lot of kisses and hugs.
Now it’s our avenger turn.
“My name is Uchiha Sasuke. There are many things that I hate, and there aren’t a lot of things that I like. Also, I have an ambition that I have no intention to leave as just a dream. The revival of my clan, and killing a certain man.”
Another poor baby.
I wish I could tell him that Itachi isn’t the bad guy here, but an enormous asshole named Danzo.
Maybe if I somehow find proof…maybe I could avoid Itachi's death and Sasuke's intention to off Kohana.
If we had Itachi and Sasuke in the war with us it would give us an edge towards Obito, Madara, Black Zetsu and Kaguya.
Wait…if I destroy the Gedo Mazo and Black Zetsu before all this can happen then we could really get a happy end here.
Many unnecessary deaths, like Neji, could be avoided.
But how in the nine circles of hell should I pull this off?
I was so busy with my own plans, that I nearly didn’t hear how Kakshi explained to us the survival training and the fail rate of over 66.6%.
Oh, time to mess now with him a little.
“It means we have a 33.3% chance of passing, this are good enough odds in my book.”, I proclaim confidently.
This lifts my teammate's spirit up, while Kakshi I could swerve pouts a bit.
With a warning to us not to eat anything or we will puke, he leaves.
Well, first-day masterd, second day, the Bell Test in progress.

Hey jelly🐈 here again!
I like the idea of whumptober! That sounds fun to participate in. I enjoy doing kinktober but it's more the writing exercise for me than anything. I like to stick to kinks I enjoy and I mostly write y/n and reader content anyway so I don't get too involved in the ships. I'm curious about the horror themed content you had thought up. I'm huge into halloween and horror.
😘 you really are a sweet person. I look forward to when you reply to my asks. I'm a coward for not just messaging you but I guess I've always been an anxious mess. I'm scared of rejection a lot. I'm afraid if you knew who I was, you'd probably make fun of me. But that's not an attack on you, I'm just an anxious person and I think everyone is going to make fun of me.
Hope your day goes so well and that you find money on the ground! Cause finding money on the ground is such a good feeling ❤ you deserve nothing but the best
oh, my sweet little jelly, you do not have to defend your decision to remain anonymous to me. some of my mutuals could tell you i am in their inbox constantly, but never with my name attached.
idk why, i just like it better that way myself. <3
and i think *no one likes me* always, even the people who say they do. i recently had a fun mental health day where i left all my group chats and naruto servers on discord for this reason.
i am a Grade-A Certified Disaster Person, lmao.
can i tell you the last time i found money on the ground was a long time ago, but it was at a pop up market in a park near my house. and it was four hundred dollar bills!!!! (i know right, who the fuck carries that on themlajsdf;lasjdfsad anyway.)
i just sort of stood there for a long time holding this money and looking at my partner wondering what to do. because you can't just say, "did somebody drop $400?" because i'm pretty sure several people who did not drop it would say they did, you know?
we were in front of this stand selling antique camera stuff (i have a collection but it's all from my family, so i wasn't actually buying anything it was all waaaayyyy too expensive) and i just sort of stepped off to the side.
i told my partner to keep an eye out for anyone who looked like they had lost something and a few minutes later there was a man with his son who seemed so panicked. they were scanning the ground and turning around and you could just tell, you know?
so i walked over and asked if they were missing something and the dad said yes and then i asked him what he was missing and he said he'd dropped $400. so i gave it back to him and maaaannnn the relieved look on his face, he was so grateful and listen, i won't lie, i was disappointed i didn't get to keep that money because that's a big deal for me--and would have been even more so at the time--but it was a cool moment.
and then, while we were leaving the park a few minutes later, he ran up behind me and gave me $20 as a thank you! so i did sort of find money even though i didn't keep what i actually found, ahaha.
anyway. this probably reads as one of those "that didn't happen" stories you see on social media or whatever, but that's fine because it did happen and it's a nice memory so i thought i would share.
i dreamt last night that i went back to college (well sort of it was like a weird robot island but apparently that was college? idk dreams are weird, man) and i was studying makeup fx which was always a passion of mine i wish i had pursued more.
maybe it's a sign i really do need to get back to loving halloween somehow.

I've had a really strange dream tonight that woke me up and left me wondering for like half an hour before falling back to sleep.
In my dream I was like reading a Naruto Manga, I know that it was a manga because I saw the panels in my dream and not like a movie or anything. And I suppose it was during blank period. There was a boy who lost an arm during the war, and he befriended Sakura, and he got like a prosthetic arm, and it looked like the puppets that Kankuro or Sasori use. And by getting this arm, he got the ability to be a ninja as he learned to mold chakra to use that arm, and he was quickly becoming really powerful and this is where it gets really weird:
One day, Sakura finds him, with his feet cut off. She is able to reattach them with medical ninjutsu, and she asks the boy why he did that to himself, and he said that his prosthetic arm made him strong, and he thought he'd get stronger when more of his body parts were artificial like his arm. A few days later she finds him again with his feet cut off, and now he threw the feet to the river, so Sakura can't reattach them, and he gets puppet prosthetic legs too.
And then the dream gets a bit blurry as I started to feel uncomfortable already apparently, but it ended like the boy completely turned himself into a puppet just like Sasori but other than him somehow died doing so, and it was pretty bloody in my dream and I then woke up.
I really don't know what to think about dreams like this. I tend to have really graphic dreams that I remember very well and that leave me wondering for a while usually. I heard that writing down your dreams can help. It's really not like they are real nightmares. It's more like watching a horror movie or something like that. But sometimes I wonder where dreams like this come from.
I always had a difficult relationship towards people losing limbs as both my grandfathers were amputees because of complications with diabetes, and I was way too young to understand and probably was a little traumatized by watching my grandpa put on his prosthetic leg when I was three. So I still dream a lot about losing limbs. It's probably one of my greatest fears that it would happen to me or a loved one.
I just thought I'd write it down here, maybe some of you find it just as interesting as me. You can also give me your weird dream if you like. I'm really interested in how people dream! Maybe I'll post more of my weird dreams here in the future, too. My boyfriend once said, I should become a horror movie author based on my dreams xD

9Chapter 4
Hinata had lost someone close to her heart before, had seen so many people she cared for disappear, had seen many of them fight for their lives almost on the brink of death right in front of her. But none of that would compare to the moment she had to watch her two children go through the same experience for the first time in their lives.
Boruto and Himawari had gone to look for their father before she could even manage to move. The last time she heard about them, she was informed that they had completely separated themselves from the others. Her children were beyond inconsolable. She had no idea where they went, and she had no idea where she was going herself.
Her feet dragged her heavily across the woods, her breath caught painfully in her throat. Could be the crying, or the fatigue, she didn't know anymore. Sometimes she would stop when it felt like the world was suddenly spinning, but then it would become steady, then she would just have to go farther again.
Everything felt like a nightmare she needed to wake up from. None of it could be real.
The memory she had from earlier this morning flooded her mind.
000
She woke up to Naruto cooking, surprisingly, cursing to himself almost comically as flames burst from the frying pan. He tossed the pan and its contents entirely into the sink, only producing more smoke in the process.
"What are you doing?" Hinata asked, chuckling to herself, as Naruto removed the pot holder from his hands with disgust written all over in his face.
Naruto jumped in surprise. "Hinata! You're awake! Wait, wait. I was just cleaning up..." The groggy Hokage panicked, quickly grabbing the pan from the sink with his bare hand, only to toss it again and curse it under his breath for being too hot.
"Let me handle it," Hinata said, grinning as she opened the faucet and the exhaust fan to clear the smoke out.
"I'm sorry," Naruto grumbled, his eyes cast on the floor. "I only made a mess, didn't I?"
Hinata smiled at him. "It's okay. Why are you up so early anyway, Hokage-sama?" she asked playfully, trying to cheer Naruto up. "Got a lot to do at the office?"
"Huh? No, no. I just... Well, you remember I came home kinda early than usual last night and got a lot of rest and... you know. I just figured I'll make you breakfast for once," Naruto sighed. "You always do it for me."
"Of course I'll always do it for you," Hinata said, gently touching Naruto's nose. "Breakfast is the only time I can make sure you don't substitute your meal for ramen."
Naruto laughed, cupping his hands softly against Hinata's cheeks. "I love you, Hinata," he whispered.
"I love you too even if you don't know how to prepare anything else besides ramen," she whispered back.
"Eh, I'll try again! I promise! Maybe tomorrow... yes, tomorrow morning will be great. What would you want for breakfast?" Naruto asked, a smile displayed widely across his face.
000
That was just this morning, wasn't it? How then did it come to this?
And then she heard it, she heard her daughter screaming from a distance. It was a cry that pierced sharply through the air. Hinata broke into a sprint.
"Daddy!" Himawari was kneeling on the ground, begging for her father to wake up when Hinata arrived. There, sprawled on the dirt, was his husband, his body limp and his chest still. Way too still.
She ran toward him and lifted his head. Her fingers travelled from his cheek to his neck. Trembling, she lifted her fingers again and placed it against his wrist. None. Almost completely hesitating, she activated her byakugan and confirmed what she had been fearing. Her husband's heart had stopped beating.
Sakura was the second to arrive on the scene. Drenched in tears with her whole body shaking, the pink-haired medic collapsed beside her teammate's body. Her mind raced, her fingers digging into her own leg in frustration. How the hell do you save a jinchuriki with his tailed beast completely gone and nowhere to be found?
As if to answer her question, thunder echoed loudly above them and lightning flashed, rain suddenly plummeting heavily over them.
Boruto was the third to arrive. His knees gave way the moment he saw the lifeless body beside his mother. He wanted to scream but no voice left him. He wanted to move but his body froze. There he remained motionless and helpless, completely drenched and covered in mud.
Sasuke was the fourth to arrive. He watched as Sakura yelled something to him but he couldn't understand a thing. Everything around him seemed to have stilled and quieted.
"Sasuke… Sasuke! The nine-tail's chakra, even just a little… please," Sakura's voice gradually filled his sense, pleading, asking him to locate what had completely disappeared. Sasuke only stared, completely stunned at her request. Sakura knew what it meant.
'No,' she mouthed disbelievingly to him, tears falling freely from her eyes. "Hinata, breathe for him," Sasuke heard Sakura say. He watched helplessly as Hinata crawled over her husband's mutilated body, closing her lips with his. Naruto's chest rose as Hinata breathed air into his lungs. By then, several people had already arrived but no one moved.
Sakura had been in this situation before, but the first time it happened she knew exactly what she had to do. This time, she didn't, but she still had to do something. There was absolutely no way she would let him die. If he had pulled it off during the war, then he would pull it off tonight. There was no way in hell Sakura would stop until she saw, with her very own eyes, Naruto wake up with a clueless look on his face. No way, Naruto. Not now. Your family needs you. She lifted two fingers before her hand glowed with healing chakra. She tore Naruto's orange sweatshirt and swiftly made an incision at the side of his chest. She heard Boruto gasp.
Sasuke knelt behind Boruto, pulling his student toward himself as the young man began to thrash around helplessly on the ground. He could hear his student's suppressed whimper. Sasuke carefully lowered Boruto's headband down to his eyes so he wouldn't see more, as Sakura shoved her hand into Naruto's chest to manually pump his heart.*
Behind Hinata, Sarada approached Himawari, pulling her into a hug. The younger kunoichi hid her face, burying her face into Sarada as the older girl tried to calm her down. Hima continued to call for her father over and over, begging him to wake up.
"We have to bring him to the hospital," Sakura told the medics in the area, her voice cracked as she tried to withhold a sob. "Call Tsunade… please, I don't know what to do," Sakura was starting to break down. A group of medics responded to her command.
"Sasuke, the perpetrator," Shikamaru approached the raven-haired man who was still consoling a writhing Boruto. "We fear he is getting ready to leave."
Sasuke felt Boruto begin to fight back against his resistance, driving his fist angrily toward the ground. "They have to pay for this," Bolt hissed between gritted teeth. Before Sasuke could react, Bolt had gotten up and had begun to storm out. He grabbed his student by the arm.
"I'll make sure they get caught, Boruto" he said firmly, tightening his grip on his student's arm. "Stay with your family. Stay by Naruto's side," he added, while watching the medics insert a tube down Naruto's throat. Sakura continued to pump their teammate's heart with her bare hand. "I'll be at the hospital as soon as I can."
As his father was placed on a stretcher, Boruto relented and Sasuke took off by himself.
The operating room was filled with all the different noises which Sakura had already grown accustomed to. Today, however, it irritated her to the core. The ventilator whirred while the cardiac monitor beeped every time she squeezed his heart, its rhythmic beeping slowing as her hand grew tired against her will.
"Bullshit," she snapped, ripping the wires away from Naruto's chest. Her hand was starting to hurt - it had been forty-eight minutes since she started the cardiac massage. She didn't care how tired it made her, she would use both hands if she had to, but each time she squeezed, a bit of her remaining hope gradually slipped away. She placed her free hand on Naruto's forehead, pulling off the tape placed over his eyes. She lifted his eyelid with her thumb. Fixed and dilated. Sakura placed a kiss on her friend's eyelid as it closed. Pull off a miracle, please. She watched as the other medics tried to mend his other injuries.
"Tsunade-sama said she is on her way," the medic entering the operating room informed Sakura.
"Has she said anything else?" she asked.
"No."
Sakura's heart sank.
Sasuke strode hastily into the hospital, heading straight for the operating room. He stopped at the sight of Naruto's family sitting quietly in the waiting room. Hinata was leaning her head to the side against the wall, her hands tightly gripping Naruto's clothes on her lap. The silence was deafening. At the sight of his father, Sarada stood up. They locked eye contact for a moment before he walked past her, heading toward the entrance of the operating room. He pushed the door but it didn't budge –
"Papa," Sarada called out. "Mama instructed no one enters, except the Fifth Hokage."
Sasuke paused, before placing his palm against the door. After channeling enough chakra, the doors violently caved in.
"Sasuke," Sakura muttered, watching as her husband walked toward the other side of the operating table, only to see what had been keeping the cardiac monitor beeping. Their teammate's eyes had been taped shut and a tube was fixed in the corner of his mouth. His skin was as pale as the sheet that hung over his head. It took a while for Sasuke to process the sight before him before he stared right back at Sakura. Neither of them said a word. He brought his hand near Naruto's face.
"Snap out of this, Naruto," he said, poking his friend's head lightly. There was no response. "There's still one thing that can be done, Sakura," Sasuke said.
"Two, actually," Sakura responded. Sasuke looked at her. "Kisho Tensei," Sakura blatantly said, not bothering to explain any further.
"Save it. I've already lived a life that's way better than I ever deserved," Sasuke said decisively, placing his hands together to conjure a hand seal. Kakashi had been watching from outside the moment Sasuke entered the operating room.
"The Rinne Tensei, will you, really - ?" Kakashi asked, stepping into the O.R. just in time to stop Sasuke. The Uchiha froze at the former Hokage's question; he looked at Naruto. "Yes, why wouldn't I?" he snapped.
"What about your family? Your clan?" their former teacher asked. Sakura's eyes shifted from Kakashi down to Naruto, her free hand stroking the blonde's nose and eyes, as tears slid down her cheeks.
"Sakura and I have once talked about this. Told her I owed my life to him, and that in owing it to him I also owed it to the village," Sasuke's gaze fixed on his wife. "She never said anything against it. And Sarada…" he paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "She will understand. I told her as much as she needed to know about mine and Naruto's past. Made her realize my world no longer revolved around myself and my clan. She's a smart kid. She will understand what I'm meant to do."
"It crossed your mind, then - that a situation like this might occur. It occurred to him too, you know," Kakashi said, his overall composed demeanor slowly collapsing under the weight of his own emotions. "And he approached me." Sasuke glanced at him, not quite grasping what Kakashi was telling him. "Asked me to help him find a way to… counter the Outer Path if used to revive him, just in case."
"That's not true!" Sasuke yelled, his insides burning in rage at what his former teacher was telling him. He placed his hands together and conjured the hand seal. Nothing happened.
Sasuke stared at Naruto in disbelief before turning to Kakashi, "How?!"
"I've been revived by the Rinne Tensei once, by Nagato. After studying it for a long time, we found out it can't be used on the same person twice. Allogeneic bone marrow transplant. It gives Naruto my DNA," the Sixth Hokage explained, his voice faltering at the weight of his former student's glare.
"Sakura," the voice of the Fifth Hokage resounded across the room. She stopped right by the entrance, her eyes resting on Naruto's unmoving form. "The nine-tails was released, wasn't it?" No one answered. The silence was enough for a confirmation.
"I can still do something, though," Sakura blurted out. She looked at Tsunade; she would know what she was talking about.
"I'm sorry Sakura," Tsunade's voice broke into a sob. She walked slowly toward her former apprentice, watching her student's hand move inside Naruto's chest. "There's really nothing you can do now."
Sakura ignored her, "But I can, I've learned it with Suna's permission, Lady Tsunade. If Sasuke can't - " Sakura paused. Sasuke tensed up. "I can try." Sakura raised his hand over Naruto's body and both hands glowed from green to blue. Tsunade placed her hand over Sakura's, suppressing the chakra.
"Suna also gave Naruto and I a seal to counter it," Tsunade said, now placing both hands over Sakura's arms. "Naruto never wanted you to use it."
Sakura refused to move her hands. "No, please," she choked.
"You've done enough, Sakura." The Fifth Hokage gently stroked Sakura on the shoulder. "You have to let him go now." A heart wrenching sound escaped Sakura's lips as she withdrew, her hands quickly losing their glow.
As the cardiac monitor flat lined, producing a long steady sound, Tsunade pulled Sakura into a hug, the younger woman's body trembling strongly against her mentor's embrace.
Hinata entered the cold room, her arms still holding Naruto's clothes tightly against her chest. She peaked, first into the door, and then she peaked at his face before sitting beside where he lay. He only looked like he was just sleeping. But Hinata knew he wasn't. She kissed him on the cheek. There were still so many things she wanted to say, so many things she wanted to tell him, but she kept her mouth shut, her hand weakly ruffling his hair.
He's not going to hear me now anyway.
Hinata stood up. She could no longer bear seeing him that way. With her remaining strength, she leaned over his body, embracing him one last time. She remained that way as her senses took it all in – the way he looked, the calmness in his face, the peacefulness in his presence, his scent, the touch of his skin.
His warmth, however, it had long gone.
Her lips touched his for the last time before she straightened up and placed the sheet over his face. She exited the room.
As soon as Hinata saw that the corridor was empty and that her children were nowhere in sight, she sank to the floor and let all her sorrows spill from her.
Kakashi watched as his former student cradled his remaining arm against his chest. It was bloodied and broken in different places. But his student didn't care. As long as he could still strike something, he would. Sasuke landed another blow on a boulder, disintegrating it instantly upon contact. Sasuke knew Kakashi was there but he didn't say anything. The former Hokage figured Sasuke needed his presence.
Sasuke targeted the ground beneath him next, his bone producing a loud crack on impact. The raven-haired man winced. He'd barely made a sound as he cradled his arm again. Soon, however, he began to wail.
Kakashi turned his back, overwhelmed by the familiar feeling of grief and guilt. Silently, the Sixth Hokage wished the Rinne Tensei never brought him back.

Chapter 7: Tea with sasuke
Yuri Yuki
Last time…..
. Reverting back to how he dealt with rouges, Sasuke moved away from the door, keeping sakura in his line of sight as he went. Slowly Sasuke backed into the kitchen, sitting down at the table near the stove, sakura seeing that Sasuke was away from the door, entered.
Closing the door behind her sakura had to sigh. This was the first time she had been in Sasuke's company since he was dragged back to the village unconscious and half dead by Naruto and Sai. It was about a year ago when she was so deep in anbu, that she had lost contact with almost everything and everyone, except naruto and kakashi, the later kept contact by force often times dragging Sai along. There was word out in the village that one of the last Uchiha was spotted near cloud, and leave it to naruto to beg for a mission to retrieve him; Tsunade consented allowing naruto this one last chance to retrieve him before he was marked in the bingo books. It just so happened that Sasuke's team, hebi, habi, something or other, had some kind of dangerous mission, resulting in great weakness, thus allowing naruto and sai to take one of the last remaining Uchiha alive into custody.
She couldn't recall most of it, because at the time, she was so deep in anbu, simply trying to stay alive required a lot of her attention, least of all a useless traitor. Now thinking back on it, she had been in anbu for awhile, she had joined at twenty or was it twenty-two, jeez it was getting hard to recall her age, thinking back to it; She had woken up in the hospital; most of that time was fuzzy, because she had been in and out of it. She woke up about three months later after that dreadful mission, in pain with horrible cotton mouth, and a spotty memory. When she asked about yugi, she didn't get an answer, she was simply told that "he is out of the village, by his own desire, for performing a kinjutsu , he want be coming back" it was odd, seeing as Tsunade had let her and naruto off the hook for much worse. After she had been released, she begged naruto to tell her where he had gone, kakashi, and even sai; but they would all look away from her and refuse to tell her anything. That was when she had made up her mind to join anbu, not only would she have a better chance of finding yugi, she could also take revenge on Itachi for this whole mess, it was a twofold sword, the answer to both her problems. Half way through her first year in anbu, yugi showed his self to her, he wouldn't tell her much, or why he had left, but he made her swear not to tell anyone that she had seen or talked to him, least he never talk to her again; or worse, she locked up, he never said where, why, or what for thou. It was odd, and a bit strange, but he wouldn't budge on the subject, he did promise her thou, that if and when she meet Itachi again, for better or worse, he would tell her everything that was going on.
For four years she had been in anbu testing her metal, training to get better, faster, stronger; but with it came a heavy price, her sanity. There were things she had to do, horrible things, which left her wondering if she was still human, if she was still alive. And with the constant promise of death with each close call, with each dead team mate, she started paying more and more attention to her training, forgetting about friends and family, but the close calls got fewer, the dead team mates less, she thrived on those things, thus she turned more of her time over to training, forgetting anything but survival, and fighting. For anbu was like a daily war, day in and day out, thinking if it was going to be your last day, your last moment on earth. Hoping that you where better trained, stronger, and faster than the enemy. But it wasn't so bad, you had friends, comrades to look out for you, it took the pressure away somewhat, made the stress easier to bear.
Then the monster known as anbu tosses you for a loop, turning everything up side down, breaking what little grounded sanity you had left. You are assigned an S rank mission to steal an object of great importance, hidden in the bowls of another village. So you pick out people you trust, a good buddy, a fast friend, the person you went through training with, to help you on your mission. Everything goes to plan, you get in, and get out, and on the way home side step a few battles, running home for your life, trusting your partner has your back. Then it hits you, bitterly in the back, a shuriken. You scan the area for the hidden Nin, there are none; you look back only to find your partner has a katana pointed in your direction. And it breaks your heart, you try reasoning with him, but it doesn't work, all that is left is to fight. And you fight, you fight bitterly, but you're afraid, you don't want to die, and at the last second as the blade swings toward your neck, fight or flight takes over, and you kill them.
Gazing down at the blood on your hands, you try to wipe it off; you try to deny it, anything to stop the pain. So you lock your emotions away then and there, you don't feel the pain, you don't feel anything really, so your training takes over, telling you what to do, it feels right, okay, so you go with it, because you can't go wrong with what you were told to do. Upon reporting that the mission was a success, you learn that the person you trusted with your life; sold that trust for a small scrap of money, paper and metal. That is when anbu finally takes everything, and you lose your trust in people, you lose hope that there is some good that can be found in them, you have lost your sanity. Knowing the only thing you can trust is your training, it want let you down, it will not deny you, so you fall head long into it, and everything makes sense again, and so now that is your world, it's what makes sense, it's what keeps you alive, it- "would you like some tea sakura?" starting back into the present, out of her dark thoughts sakura is a bit startled to find Sasuke standing near the stove, putting a tea kettle on to boil. It was unnerving to think she was so far into her dark thoughts that she hadn't noticed Sasuke move out of his chair, she must have been getting carless. That was the only reason sakura could think of, as to why she blanked out with an active criminal in the house.
Shifting her eyes back toward Sasuke, she watched as he made the tea, with slow and deliberate moves, all most as if he was doing it for her sake. Grunting at the stupidity of it all, sakura neared the table and pulled a chair out to sit down, it wasn't like she would drink it any way, her anbu training wouldn't let her, but she would play nice, if only for naruto's welfare. Sasuke hearing the grunt looked over his shoulder to find sakura taking a seat at his kitchen table, he was a bit surprised to see her do it, considering not a moment before she looked like she would have rather killed him instead. Turning back to the stove to finish up the tea, he had to wonder what happened to her to make her change so much. He had turned his conversations with naruto into the area of sakura before, but both he and that sai person refused to talk about it, often times changing the subject themselves, it was enough to stir his curiosity in the matter. Glancing back over his shoulder, he saw sakura staring at him, not a curious stare, or a thinking stare of remembrance, it was watching. She was cataloging his movements, her eyes trailing after the movements of his hands, yet at the same time still looking at him as a whole, like she was afraid he would attack any second.
It reminded him of someone in his past as a child doing the same thing, but Sasuke couldn't quite recall who it was exactly. But one thing was for sure, sakura was acting like a rouge nin, from the way she refused to enter the door with his self near it, to the way she was watching his every move like a hawk, not dropping her guard for a second around him; it was quite interesting. Liking the idea of solving the mystery that was sakura, Sasuke beside that he wouldn't be as board in his prison as he though, keeping sakura in sight out of the edge of his range of vision, Sasuke made a move for a plain brown sugar packet with no markings. Sure he knew it was sugar, also the recent residents to his home also knew, but sakura didn't know, and in their lay his fun. Palming the packet over to his left hand, noticing that he had caught sakura's undivided attention, he proceeded finishing up the tea, adding the packet of sugar to sakura's cup. Now would be a great chance for him to gage her reactions, to see exactly what he was dealing with in this "new" sakura. Reaching under the sink Sasuke pulled out a tray and loaded the tea, and tea supplies upon it, then headed over to the table that held his new puzzle.
"Here, I didn't put anything into it, because I don't know how you take your tea." Stated Sasuke as he gently sat her cup in front of her, sakura could only stare at the cup, did he really think her that stupid, that dumb, not to notice what he had did, she saw what he had did, but it was of little concern, for she wasn't going to drink it in the first place. But it was quite interesting to see what Sasuke wanted to do, besides naruto could get his self up, he was a grown man after all. Looking back at Sasuke, she saw that he was waiting on her to try the tea, well when in doubt, rely on anbu training. So sakura started to fix her tea as if she would drink it, adding sugar and milk, picking up the spoon she stirred it all together, and then sat it back down to wait, now it was a waiting game.
Sasuke having seen sakura fix her tea as if she was going to drink, was a bit perplexed when she sat the spoon back down, and didn't touch her tea again. She was just staring at him, it was a bit unnerving, but only slightly so. "I see you haven't touched your tea, is it not to your liking?" Sasuke looked on as skura looked at him then back to her tea, then to him once more only to sake her head "no" it was quite ironic, when they where children she did all the talking, so much so that it often hurt his ears, now it was him making all the noise, and she hadn't uttered a word yet. "I see…perhaps you would like a bit more in your cup?" picking up the tea kettle to pour some more into her cup, Sasuke was blocked by sakura sliding her palm over the top of her tea cup, a polite yet quite way to refuse more tea. It was something you learned as a child in a clan where politics were vital and used daily. But to know that sakura knew them also so only added to the puzzle that was her, and the questions where mounting.
Sakura seeing that Sasuke was trying his best to get her to drink, only made her more on guard of what he was trying to pull. When he went to pour more tea into her cup, she blocked it without thought. That was her anbu training, act first, questions it later, but later was now, and a multitude of scenarios ran through her head. Like what if there was a counter agent in the pot that activated hers? What if it caused a reaction? The reaction might cause a gas to accrue, knocking her out, or possibly killing her? Her training's first reaction was correct; best not add anything else to the tea already in her cup, and best by far still not to drink it.

Kakashi raises naruto thing p2
Prev Next
Kakashi's next mission was going to be a quick one. He could tell that the Sandaime was still babying him. An assassination of a local lord who had delusions of becoming a god. When his team made camp he slunk off instead of keeping watch as he usually did. He went a fair distance away. Far enough that his team shouldn’t hear anything that they shouldn’t, but close enough that Kakashi could respond if something went wrong.
He settled on the boughs of an oak and took off his Anbu mask, tying it to his hip. He summoned Bull to him. He appeared with Naruto in his back pack. The dog flopped over on the branch with a soft wuff. Kakashi took the baby from him. Free hand petting Bull’s head.
“Thank you for looking after him. You can go if you want.”
But, Bull didn’t leave. He just shut his eyes and made himself at home. Kakashi shifted over, so he was now braced on Bull’s side. Peering down at the bundle in his arms. Naruto’s eyelashes fluttered as he woke up. His eyes were just as blue as they started. Kakashi thought that baby’s eyes darken as they aged up. That’s how it worked with puppies anyways. Naruto smiled up at him.
“What are you smiling for? Don’t you know that both your parents are dead and now you are stuck with me?” He grumbled.
“Ka!” Naruto cheered. Sticking his little hand out.
Kakashi let him wrap his tiny fingers around his pinky. Had he ever been this tiny? It didn’t feel possible. Some days it felt like he had popped out the ground a fully formed ninja. Naruto dragged his finger up to his mouth and started chewing on it. It wasn’t painful. He didn’t have teeth yet, but Kakashi didn’t particularly want to be covered in saliva. He tried to free his hand and Naruto immediately screwed up his face; a tell tale sign that he was about to cry.
Sighing, Kakashi let him have the finger back.
“You better not tell Pakkun I lost to a baby, Bull.”
Bull let out a rumbling chuckle and his wagging tail shook the branch they were on. Yeah. He was totally going to tell the entire pack. So much for loyalty.
Clearing his throat, Kakashi began to recite the beginning of A tale of a Gusty Ninja. “A brave ninja in a land far away took up his sword and set out for adventure…”
Naruto closely watched his face as he listened. He hoped he liked it. The book was something Sensei had gotten for him. Kakashi found that he rather liked carrying a book around. He could hide his face behind it, so it was like a double mask. And, besides people rarely bothered him when he had his nose buried in a book. It was peaceful.
The only problem was that he couldn’t be seen carrying a book around in Anbu uniform. It was too identifying of a feature. But he had a photographic memory and he could repeat it at will.
It wasn’t until after he got through the prologue that he realized that they had company. Kakashi went abruptly silent. His eyes scanning the trees for the threat. A Fire country owl hooted, four times. Kakashi let his chakra settle down from the half formed lightning jutsu he twisted it into.
Anbu Crane appeared on the tree next to them. He gave them a little wave.
“Sorry. You don’t normally go that far from camp and when you didn’t come back I got worried.”
“It’s alright.” Kakashi said. Frustration making him hunch over Naruto. “Will I be censured for letting you see my face now or when we return?”
Crane tilted his head. He hopped onto the branch above theirs, removing his mask in a swift motion.
Kakashi stared up at him. He was a Hyuuga. His hair was cropped short to his head, and he had a strip of cloth covering his forehead, so he was probably a branch member.
“There.” Crane said, satisfied. “Now it’s just a meet and greet instead of an accident. You’re allowed to reveal your face to your teammates if you want to.”
“Oh. That’s not in the handbook.”
“It’s an unofficial rule.” Crane leaned over the branch, watching Naruto chew on Kakashi’s finger.
“He’s certainly an energetic little guy, isn’t he? When he starts crawling you are going to be in hell.” He chuckled.
“I’ll just get a leash for him until he has enough sense not to get into trouble.” Kakashi said.
“A leash!” Crane snorted. “That’s more of an Inuzuka thing.”
“It’ll be a Kakashi thing too. Depending on how bothersome it gets.”
“Hey, kiddo wanna see a magic trick?” Crane said to Naruto. Snapping his fingers to get the baby’s attention. “Watch this.”
Crane took his Anbu mask and covered his face with it.
“Ah!” Naruto gasped.
“Where did I go?” He lowered his mask. “Here I am!”
Naruto broke out into hysterical giggles. The sound muffled around Kakashi’s finger.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Playing peekaboo. Kids love that stuff. I used to do it all the time for my cousin when he was little.”
Crane tucked his arm under his head. “You know Hound you don’t have to let him bite you. You can buy stuff for that. Pacifiers and such. Just don’t get one from Iron Country. They have funny ideas of what’s safe to go in their paints.”
“People are making stuff designed for babies that’s dangerous to them?” Kakashi asked.
“Yeah. Crazy world, isn’t it?”
~!~
After the mission he went home and took a nice, long, hot shower. Then he went out to look for baby stuff. But when he got there he had a bout of anxiety over his potential purchases. What if this one was made in Iron Country and the seller was trying to pass off tainted goods for a quick buck? He discreetly sniffed the ducky bib on the table. He didn’t smell anything off, but Kakashi didn’t feel confident that he could identify a threat he never smelled before.
He needed an expert.
~!~
Kakashi was much more polite the next time he knocked on the Uchiha’s clan head’s door. But that didn’t stop Mikoto from glaring at him when he opened the door.
“You’re late.” She said.
“I am? I don’t remember agreeing to come back here.” He said, bewildered.
“It was implied. So what are we doing today? Anything in particular?”
“I need to buy things for Naruto and I don’t know what’s safe.”
She nodded her head. “Alright. Let me get Sasuke and we can go.”
“Uh. Actually I thought you could tell me what brands to buy!” He called at her retreating back.
Mikoto didn’t make him wait for long. She pulled her hair up into a bun and had some sort of contraption that strapped her youngest to her front. Leaving both her hands free to form jutsu. Kakashi was immensely jealous. What was that thing and where did he get one??? Forget a pacifier he needed that ASAP.
“Where’s your bundle of joy at?” She asked.
“He’s at my apartment.”
Truth was that Kakashi didn’t want to bring Naruto with him when he went to check out the market. Crane hadn’t been very descriptive of the nature of the threat. Maybe it could be airborne under the right circumstances.
The market was still busy when they got there. Throngs of people milling about while merchants harked their wares. Kakashi wrinkled his nose. The primary scent in the air was of the various imported spices. It was rather pungent and could lead to him getting nose blind, if he wasn’t careful.
“Come on. There’s a lovely store over here that caters to clan members. You’ll find it to be more to your needs than these civilian storefronts.” Mikoto guided him away from the crowd over to an out of the way place.
Kakashi dithered over the selection of goods on display. There was a lot more here than a pacifier and he wasn’t sure how much of this stuff he needed. Mikoto eyed him.
“Why don’t I go over everything a new parent would need and you get anything you don’t have already?” She suggested.
She went over each item telling him what its purpose was and why people get it. Mikoto didn’t say anything when he bought everything she pointed out. Including the clothes. The only thing he didn’t get was the crib and that’s because Naruto slept with him. That crib thing was a waste of time.
The purchase he was most excited about was was the child harness like Mikoto’s he got! Now, he too, could carry a baby around and be a full threat. The leather was dyed a soft blue and ninja dalmatians played across the shoulder straps. He loved it. Kakashi bought so much stuff that he had to make an earth clone to carry it all back home. He sent it off while he accompanied Mikoto shopping for her next meal.
“After you finish dropping off your supplies you should come bring Naruto over for dinner.” She compared two different eggplants. Selecting the one that was longer and skinner.
“Hai, hai.” Kakashi uttered. Planning on ditching her the first chance he got.
That was too much socialization for him. He needed to decompress.
As they moved through the crowd he noticed something was off. The civilians were glaring at Mikoto. Everywhere she went conversations died and they stared at her. When she left they started again, but with a furious, ugly undertone threaded through. It reminded him of the time running up before his father’s death. The next man who looked a little too long at her got a genjutsu weaved around his minuscule chakra. The next step he’ll take will end up with him on the floor. It was a simple genjutsu. One that altered the balance. It was very hard to sense.
Mikoto smacked him upside his head. Breaking his concentration. “Don’t commit crimes in front of me. Did you forget that my husband is the captain of the police force?”
“But!” Kakashi protested.
“But nothing! I knew what I was getting into when I decided to help you. Let me deal with the consequences. Oh. And Kakashi for that little stunt you aren’t getting any dessert after dinner.”
He scowled and stomped after her. As if he wanted some dumb fruit from a dinner he wasn't going to go to. But he hadn’t known that their anger was related to her spending time with him. What exactly was going on with the Uchiha Clan?
~!~
Gai was scaling the hokage mountain with only his hands when Kakashi found him.
“Gah!” Cried Naruto from where he was strapped to Kakashi’s chest. He had to take off his flak jacket in order to make the harness fit, but it shouldn't matter. Kakashi usually killed his opponents before they could attack him. The extra armor was more decorative than anything.
“I know. He is blinding, isn’t he? I’ll try not to get too close to him.” He muttered.
“My rival!” Gai beamed. “If I cannot climb this mountain before you I’ll run around the village 50 times.” He started scuttling up the mountain at a surprising speed despite only using his hands.
Kakashi snorted. As if he would lose to him even with his lead. He jumped up, running along the face of the Nidaime. It had been close, but Kakashi pulled into the lead when he leapt over the Nidaime’s nose instead of going around like Gai did.
“Ah! My hip rival you have bested me again. I need to train even harder.”
“Wait Gai, before you go I have something I want to ask you.” Kakashi rushed out before he could leave. The man was impossible to stop when he really got going.
“You don’t have to ask me! I already know.” Gai said striking a pose. “I will of course raise your child in the event that you perish defending our village. Never fear.”
“Oh— I. Thanks.” Kakashi said, awkwardly. He hadn’t actually thought what would happen to Naruto if he died. He’d figured that his summons would take care of him until Naruto could reverse summon himself out of the summoning realm. But if he wasn’t with them when Kakashi died he’d be trapped alone as the contract severed their connection to this world. Kakashi was touched by Gai’s dedication, but he didn’t know if it was possible for him to take in Naruto. The council would probably dump the baby into an orphanage. Kakashi decided to ask how Mikoto how he could make Gai his guardian preference.
“Seriously, Gai thank you, but that’s not why I am here. I wanted to know about the situation regarding the Uchiha clan.”
Gai went deadly serious. He pursed his lips. “Oh I see…. My dear rival I’m surprised you don’t already know, but you’ve always been a bit antisocial.”
“Get to the point.”
“Well, there has been rumors going around that the person behind the Kyuubi attack was an Uchiha.”
Kakashi went cold. “What the hell! I was there. It wasn’t an Uchiha. The only thing I could smell was an odd vegetal scent. Uchiha don’t smell like that.”
Gai made a complicated gesture. “Yes, but the fires swept through there after you left with your youthful charge. The Anbu in charge of keeping the crime scene pristine were mysteriously injured, so the Inuzuka didn’t have a chance to confirm it for themselves. The mystery has made everyone speculative. And when a rumor cropped up about the Uchiha being able to control the tailed beasts it got out of hand.”
“And now if I try to dispel it I’ll make things worse, because it’ll look like I am covering for them after they helped me. Damn.” Kakashi shifted Naruto up, so he'd stop digging his little feet into his guts.
“Exactly.” Gai gave him a thumbs up. “It’s a most unyouthful situation you’ve found yourself in.”
“Mikoto didn’t say anything to me about this. If I had known I wouldn’t have troubled her. This is my fault.” Kakashi stared down at his hands.
He really was a burden on the people around him. If Kakashi was a little bit quicker, more clever, he wouldn’t be alone now. He’d have saved Obito, Rin… even Sensei. Kakashi doubled over. Suddenly, missing Minato-sensei so much he couldn’t breath. Sorry, I’m so fucking sorry Sensei, Kakashi thought. I’m ruining your son and I don’t have a clue how to fix this mess. You’d have known. You were always smarter than me.
"Ka." Naruto whimpered. Kakashi gently stroked his head.
"Don't cry. Everything's alright."
Gai patted Kakashi on the back. “The rumors started before you spent time with the Uchiha clan, my rival. Don’t blame yourself. I’m sure the reason why she didn’t tell you isn’t because she doesn’t trust you. Mikoto-sama was good friends with Kushina before her passing. I’m sure she wants to protect her friend’s legacy in her own way.”
Kakashi scowled at him. “I’m already protecting Naruto. He’s safe with me.”
“I was talking about yourself! As Kushina’s only student you must hold a special place in her heart.”
“What are you talking about? I was Minato-sensei’s student. Not Kushina’s.” He said, irritated.
Gai put his hands on his hips. “She was the one who taught you sealing, wasn’t she?”
“Well yes, but that’s just because Sensei’s style was too hard for me to understand. Kushina had more digestible explanations.”
“So you were her sealing student!”
Kakashi hadn’t thought of it that way. He figured she had taught him as a favor to Sensei not because she wanted to. He wished he had called her Kushina-sensei at least once while she was alive. What would she have done? Would she have been mad? Glad? It was a pointless thing to think about since he’ll never know, because she’s dead now. He wondered if Mikoto saw it the same way. He doubted it.
“Regardless I am a jounin not a genin. I can handle myself. If she doesn’t want me involved too bad. I owe her and I won’t watch the civilians tear them apart.”
“That’s the spirit my rival, but what are you going to do?”
“The only thing I can do. Figure out where the rumors are coming from.”
~!~
Kushina flounced into Sensei’s apartment. The scent of ramen clinging to her. “What are you doing Kakashi? Studying?” She dumped her keys onto the counter.
“Sensei gave me a book to memorize.” He snapped. Perched on the lumpy couch like a gargoyle.
He could remember them just fine, but that didn't turn into understanding. Kakashi was used to being a genius. He didn't do this. He never struggled.
She leaned over his shoulder. Eyes flicking over the pages. “You aren’t going to learn anything like that!” She scoffed, and ripped the book from his hands.
“Hey—” Kakashi twisted round in his seat.
“Let me show you.” Kushina took up his brush and pulled his sealing paper over. With a few flicks of her wrist a new seal was formed.
“Okay, so what does it do?”
“I don’t know.” He growled. “You threw away my sealing book I need to decipher it.”
“You don’t need that old thing Kakashi. Feel it.” She said, dragging his hand onto the seal.
Kakashi traced the ink. Feeling an odd buzz in his fingertips. “Uh— it’s something to do with disguises. Like a genjutsu, but more solid. It’s not the whole body. It’s more specialized.” He went over a part again feeling he was close to figuring it out. “It only changes one thing. The hair, I think. It turns the hair pink?”
He looked up at Kushina to await her judgment. A gigantic grin split her face. “You were close! It’s red.” She took a small mirror out of her bag and held it up to his face. “Tada~”
His hair was now a bright red. The same shade as Kushina’s.
“You also missed that it’s contact triggered.” She laughed. “It lasts a week, so you better figure out a counterseal fast if you don’t want people to think you’re my son.” She tousled his hair with a soft smile.
With a jerk Kakashi woke up. Sweat soaked. The clock told him it was 3 am. He dragged himself into the bathroom. Flicking on his shower, so nobody would hear him when he started crying.

hii sparrow🎊 its gonna be a dumb question but i wonder what u think about it so; in chuunin arc ino hugges sasuke and sasuke doing nothing except looking bad to her but when sakura do the same thing hes just annoys, pushes her and says her to not to do it again. so what do you think about it? why didn't he say to her not do it again or push ino too? and can u pls compare sasuke's that kind of reactions to everbody vs naruto, thanks and sorry if i write something wrong🥲
I think it has to do with the fact that there are so many people around him and he didn't want to push a girl and insult her???
Tumblr media
Here, Ino is hugging him in front of many people...
And it's the same here with Karin as well...
Tumblr media
=
=
Whereas when he is alone with either Karin or Sakura, he just puts his distance.
Tumblr media
“I am alright Sakura, you can let go..”
[[I don’t count that time when Sakura hugged Sasuke in the Hospital when he just woke up from coma]]
Tumblr media
“Don’t Pull me”
Technically, he is not alone. Naruto is right there. But he seems to be lost in his own thoughts.
Tumblr media
“Go away!! Don’t hug me!!”
Tumblr media
“Would you back off?”
Tumblr media
“Let me go... I’ll walk by myself...”
Tumblr media
“You gotta go too...”
If Sasuke were a real Tsundere as they say, he should be reacting just opposite to how he was reacting in the above panels.
Like acting as if he hates being approached by Sakura in front of other people but shows great interest when he is alone with her.
With Naruto,
Tumblr media
Whether Sasuke is alone with him or standing among the crowd,
Tumblr media
He just doesn't mind if it is from Naruto and
Tumblr media
He won't hesitate to show as well.

Tumblr media
Two days. The Fourth Great Ninja War had only lasted two days, but it felt like a lifetime. Maybe because of everything that happened leading up to the war. It was hard to picture it all now, the smaller battles, the trainings, even the way your friendships had been built up over the last few months. The war only lasted two days, but it was years in the making.
And now it was over. Lives were lost and the world was forever changed, but somehow good had triumphed the way it did in all the books and movies.
Well, not somehow.
Winning the war was a team effort, every person in every village had done their part, even gave their lives, but you knew what you’d always known.
None of it would have been possible without Naruto.
Ever since you’d met him when you were both twelve years old, you knew there was something different, something special about Naruto Uzumaki. By the time you’d met, everyone else was starting to figure it out too, but you knew right away. You couldn’t have imagined just how special, how important, Naruto would be to the world, but you’d had no doubt in your mind right off the bat that Naruto was going to do great things.
When Naruto asked you to be his girlfriend when you were both sixteen, you felt like the luckiest girl in the world. You couldn’t believe that Naruto wanted it to be you by his side as he took on the world. That spot next to him had always been occupied by you anyways. You wouldn’t have known how to step aside if he were to love someone else.
But it was you he loved. Things had moved so fast between the two of you. One day you were best friends and by that night, you were his girlfriend, falling asleep in his arms and kissing him goodnight. You’d already lived together at that point; it already felt like you and Naruto were spending your life together.
It wasn’t even a full week later that Naruto had let the “L” word slip. The two of you were at the training grounds, but you hadn’t been in the mood to train. You went with Naruto since he wanted to work on target practice, but you had decided to sit back in the shade, writing in your notebook as you leaned against a tree.
“Did you see that!?” Naruto had called. You glanced up from your book to see that he’d hit the bullseye dead on, and he was grinning excitedly at you.
“Good job, Naruto. But you always hit the bullseye.” You gave a small laugh, glancing back down at your notebook. You missed the pout on Naruto’s face.
What Naruto had been asking you if you saw was the backflip he’d done as he threw the kunai--he had to challenge himself after all. But you were hardly paying attention to him, too caught up in your writing. Well that wasn’t going to stand.
A moment later, you felt wind past your hair as a thud came from the tree above you. You looked at the tree to see a kunai lodged in the trunk just over your head before looking back at Naruto to see a smug smirk.
“Naruto!” You snapped, closing your book. “Are you crazy!?”
He giggled like a child, rubbing the back of his head. “Like you said, I always hit my mark. I wasn’t gonna hit you!” But you were already on your feet, charging him and tackling him to the ground. Naruto’s back hit the floor with a thud, and you could hear the air escape him. Straddling him, you placed your hands on his chest and stared down at him.
“Did you really need my attention that badly?” You asked him curiously, tilting your head. Naruto was looking at you with those wide, beautiful blue eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. He stared at you so intensely, so earnestly, that it made you blush. “What?” You muttered, glancing away in embarrassment.
Naruto sat up, wrapping an arm around your waist to keep you close to him on his lap. Slowly, you turned your head back to look at him, captivated by all that was Naruto. You were feeling more shy than you ever had before, but Naruto looked and felt as sure as ever as he took you in. “I love you is all.” He grinned at you, leaving a big kiss on your cheek.
There wasn’t a doubt in your mind that you were fully, completely, totally wrapped up in Naruto. You didn’t think you’d ever get free, and you knew for a fact that you never wanted to.
It was later that night that Naruto took your virginity. It was slow and sweet and awkward and clumsy--everything a girl could hope for for her first time. Naruto kissed you everywhere his lips could touch, his eyes took in every inch of your body. You don’t think you’d ever been so nervous in your life.
But it was Naruto, and like everything else, he made you feel brave. You couldn’t help but wonder how he knew what to do so effortlessly. You had no idea how anxious the whole thing made Naruto because he was so attentive to your needs.
Naruto would later admit to you sheepishly that he’d done a lot of research to make sure he didn’t hurt you. He took it slow when his fingers pressed inside you for the first time, pumping and curling experimentally as he listened to your body to know when he was doing it right.
His thumb clumsily circled your clit as he slid inside you slowly, taking his time despite the urge to just sheathe himself completely. Your fingers gripped his shoulders as you rocked into him despite the pinching pain. And then, suddenly, it didn’t hurt anymore, and your stomach began to flutter. It didn’t last long, with Naruto spilling inside you sooner than he would have liked, but you felt satisfied, on cloud nine, nonetheless.
You couldn’t figure out if it was a blessing or a curse the way your and Naruto’s relationship progressed so quickly, because as soon as everything seemed perfect with the two of you, everything else began to change.
Naruto took the world by storm just like you always knew he would, and the two of you were separated more and more. You wanted to be with him at every point, but you were both ninjas with different roles. You did your best to keep focused, but you missed Naruto terribly when he was gone, and you always feared that he would forget about you. He was quickly gaining the respect of not just the village, but the whole world, just like he’d always wanted. Now that he had everyone else’s attention, would yours matter to him as much?
But when Jiraya died, Naruto wanted nothing more than to be in your arms. There was no one else that could have brought him back from the brink, that darkness that had seemed so overwhelming. You weren’t there in his fight with Pein, you couldn’t be, but he wished you were.
When he meets Minato, finds out that the Fourth Hokage is his father, he can’t help but tell him about you, how despite how miserable and alone so much his childhood had been, he’d do it all over again as long as it led him to you. And his father tells him how happy he is, that if he and Naruto’s mother couldn’t be there for him, that at least you had found Naruto.
And Naruto smiles at that, because you did find him, right when he needed you. He’s confident that in any time or place, any lifetime, you would find him again. And he would find you.
When Naruto meets his mother, it goes much the same. He learns how Kushina and Minato fell in love, a story he never would have imagined he would get to hear. Kushina doesn’t miss his blush when she tells him to find someone like her, and he tells her that he already has. Shyly, Naruto tells his mom about you, how you were his constant, and how much he loves you. It brings them both to tears, because neither of them ever imagined they would have this moment.
And Naruto can’t wait to tell you about it all, but your time together is so few and far between, and you spend most of it in each other’s arms. Every time you touch him again, the relief in you is almost violent, because every time one of you leaves, you’re not sure if you’ll see each other again.
Many lives are lost in the time leading up to the end of the war, but by some miracle of the universe, you and Naruto are left standing. Even so, as he and Sasuke laid barely on the brink of consciousness, both short one arm as Sakura cried over them, you kept your space. It was a scene you knew Naruto had been dreaming about for years, his one real wish to have Sasuke back.
So you’re happy, excited, relieved for Naruto to have his best friend home, but you’re scared too, terrified, really, of what this will mean for your relationship. Now that Naruto has the one thing he’d been dreaming about for years, would that change the way he felt about you?
You’d had enough foresight to buy birthday presents for Naruto early before any stores became a casualty to the battle. With so much destroyed, Naruto couldn’t believe it when he woke up in the hospital surrounded by balloons and streamers, and of course you. “Happy birthday, Naruto.” You smiled from your seat by his bed. And Naruto wasn’t ashamed by the fact that he was crying, because you loved him, and you were here, and even if one day he lost everything else in the world, he had you.
In the days that follow the war, Naruto hears stories of what everyone had experienced in the Infinite Tsukuyomi. He wonders what he would have seen had he been trapped inside. Sasuke being home was a given, and now it was reality. He didn’t have to dream.
He knew for a fact that you would have been in it. And he would be with you forever. That was his dream, what he wanted even more than becoming Hokage one day. He couldn’t imagine his life without you, and he hated how much time he had had to spend away from you for the past months. He never wanted to have to go a day without you again.
It’s only a week that Naruto was in the hospital. Tsunade wanted to keep him in for longer, but Naruto couldn’t stand to spend another night not laying in bed with you. Which meant that he was almost completely bedridden for another week after he came home, with you waiting on him hand and foot.
“You did this on purpose,” you teased him, helping him sit up as you fed him ramen. “You just wanted to make me take care of you.” Naruto just grinned at you in response.
“Having a beautiful girl feeding me ramen? That’s like, the ultimate fantasy!”
You still thought it was too soon, but Naruto was up and moving by week three, eager to get back to training. “You’ve missed all the cool things I’ve learned, too. I have to show you.” Naruto bragged.
Poking the stub that was his right arm, you laughed. “Better let Tsunade fix this then, if you want to show me anything new.”
Naruto pouted. “But I’ll have to be in the hospital overnight…” He protested. You gave him a soft peck, rolling your eyes at him.
“I think we can survive one more night apart.” You made a move to pull back, but he secured his arm around your waist, kissing you again.
“Just one more night?”
~
Naruto had gone in the night before to get his new arm. He’d pouted and tantrumed and tried to put it off, but finally told Tsuande he was ready.
“It’s just one more night,” you’d promised him as you said goodbye, wrapping your arms around him.
He kissed your head. “Fine. But promise me something?” he asked. You nodded, looking up at him.
“Of course,”
“Meet me tomorrow on the hokage heads at six?”
So that’s where you were heading now. The sun was beginning to set, lighting the sky up with beautiful hues of purples, oranges, and pinks. You smiled as you climbed the stairs thinking of all the days twelve year old you and Naruto had spent sitting up here, talking about your dreams. You were so young then, neither of you had the foresight to imagine you would be where you were now.
As you got to the top of the mountain, your heart leaped seeing the setup Naruto had waiting for you. A blanket was laid out on the ground, surrounded by lit candles. Plush pillows filled the blankets for comfort as well as glasses of sparkling champagne with your favorite dessert.
He stood there waiting for you with his bandaged hand, and you realized you’d never seen anything as beautiful as Naruto, and you found yourself running to him, jumping into his arms and kissing him deeply as you wrapped your legs around him.
Laughing, he kissed you back, holding you to him tightly. “I missed you too,” he laughed when you pulled away.
You beamed at him, and it made his breath hitch. You were so gorgeous. Never in his wildest dreams would he have imagined that someone would look at him the way you do, and his eyes started to well up realizing just how lucky he was to have you.
As he set you down, you gave a small laugh. “Naruto, are you crying?” You asked him, reaching up to touch his cheek.
He scratched the back of his head as he stared down at you. “I can’t help it… I just love you so much…” You smiled at him, but he wasn’t done yet.
“Ya know, all that time we spent apart, I thought of you almost every second. Even when I got to talk to my mom and dad… I just wanted to tell them about you…” He took your hands in his, looking at you with a level of admiration that made you blush.
“And, ya know, I know you think it was silly that I didn’t want to go get my new arm cause I didn’t want to spend the night at the hospital, but I just don’t want to have to be away from you again. Not ever.”
You looked at Naruto almost curiously as butterflies fluttered in your stomach. “I’m not going anywhere,” you assured him.
Naruto gave a soft smile, so different from his usual animated grin. “I know,” he said quietly as he began to drop down to his knee. Your jaw dropped as one hand went to cover your mouth.
“N-naruto… What are you doing?” You asked.
“I love you. So much. And for so long, since we were twelve.” He said, looking up at you. “I never really realized how much I was missing all my life until you came into it. And it was all worth it, all my loneliness, all that time I spent feeling like an outsider… Because when you came into my life, all that pain turned into so much happiness, I thought my heart would burst. I didn’t know I could survive being so happy after being so alone for so long.”
Tears were falling freely from both of your eyes. You didn’t know when you’d started crying, but now you couldn’t stop.
“We’ve all been through so much in such a short amount of time… I could’ve lost it all. I could’ve lost you. But I didn’t, and I’m so lucky I didn’t.” Naruto continued, smiling through his tears. You tried to quiet your sobs so you could hear him better. “And it’s because of that,” He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small box. “That I want to make sure I get to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you forever. Will you marry me?”
Disbelief. You couldn’t believe this wasn’t your imagination, that this was really happening. “Naruto… We’re only seventeen, we’ve been dating for like a year!” You laughed, and he just grinned confidently.
“I know,” he told you. “I know we’re young, but I know that I love you, and I know that I want to be with you forever. I’m ready. What do you say?”
He almost dropped the ring because you were on him in a second, tackling him to the floor, peppering his face with kisses. “Yes,” you cried between kisses. “Yes of course! I love you. I love you so much.”
“Wait, the ring!” Naruto laughed, waving around the box. “I spent a lot of money on this, ya know! You should at least look at it!” But you just kept on kissing him.
“I’d marry you with a paper ring,” you told him before pressing your lips to his. “Any time, any place. As long as I get to be with you.”
Naruto wiped at his cheeks, staring at you through his blurry eyes. Every time he thought he couldn’t get any happier, you proved him wrong.
He finally was able to grab your hand and slide the ring on it. “Now you’re never gonna get rid of me.” He told you before giving you another kiss.
“Promise?” You asked him with shining eyes?
Naruto couldn’t understand it. How had he ever gotten so lucky?
“Promise.”
