Ooooh, requests open 👀. Might we, PLEASE AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH❣️ get some general romantic n/sfw hcs for Ra's Al Ghul/Demon's Head, Hal Jordan/Green Lantern and Komand'r/Blackfire (or not if she's difficult for you)

Ooh, some new characters to write for ok! Full disclosure my only real interpretation of Blackfire is her animated Teen Titans version so...ye lol. I mainly know DC characters from the DCAU and the Arkham games so that's the well I'm drawing from

Hal is an interesting yandere considering his willpower being his ultimate source of power. A guy like that wouldn't let his obsession interfere with his duty as a Green Lantern...right? Well, only a little. Darling becomes his Lois Lane that he always tries to find time for and always shows up to save them if they're in danger.

He'd use any resources as a high-ranking Corps member to keep Darling safe after they're endangered for the first time. He'll allow them his room on the Watchtower, meaning they're surrounded by the strongest heroes on earth whenever he's away on missions. He always shows up with gifts and intergalactic souvenirs to apologize for being apart (though he keeps tabs on them with cameras and a tracker whenever he's gone)

He manages to hold his desires back for a long time, and the few times he does waver he insists on not making it about himself; he'll push and push their boundaries if they aren't reciprocating, and then give them oral while jerking himself off. If he makes it about their pleasure, then he feels it's slightly less terrible than making it about himself. Still, he always apologizes after he does this and insists on caring for them afterwards.

Komand'r is a possessive, manipulative, powerful yandere. If she sees something or someone she wants, she takes it. And as a Tamaranian, when she feels she feels DEEPLY. A slight attraction becomes an obsession, and a flicker of jealousy will easily get violent and out of hand.

If she can't use her silver tongue to seduce them and charm them, she's got no issue incapacitating them or even holding them down with her strength to claim them. She's also the type who would destroy her Darling's current relationship or any potential rival by kidnapping them both and making their s/o watch while she fucks them over and over. See? She knows Darling's body and takes much better care of them.

She'd also let the s/o live to see her take them away, only killing them if they tried to steal Darling away: the more violently, the better. Her Darling should love her, but she'll settle for fear if it means they realize they belong to her and nothing can take them away from her.

I can see Ra's going for a Darling that is a skilled fighter or assassin like him, or a Darling that is his opposite. What little we know of Talia's mother suggests she wasn't an assassin like Ra's and died unable to defend herself, and I think he'd find someone with a gentle nature attractive and comforting when his world is filled with death and ruthlessness. Either way, they're someone he wants to make heirs with and believes they're perfect for that role.

Even if they ARE a formidable opponent, he'll find a way to subdue and keep them imprisoned. He's the world's greatest assassin after all, and he genuinely thinks keeping them with him is for their benefit just as much as his. He's not used to protecting, and the best way he can do it is to keep them close. And unlike Melisande, who died before he could perfect the Lazarus Pit, he'll revive his Darling should he fail to keep them safe. He never lets a target get away.

He'll immobilize and restrain them in bed if he has to, but he really wouldn't want to if he could avoid it. The many years in the Pit have made him very obsessive, meaning he's a very...passionate...lover. He'll make them come undone around his fingers, his tongue, and his cock multiple times until they're almost unconscious. He's also much more affectionate in private than around other members of the League of Assassins; in public he'll brush a finger over their bottom lip, run his hand through their hair, but in private he'll passionately kiss them, massage their shoulders, etc.

NOW! YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND!!!

The Buster Sword clashed with your Supercharger Lance, creating a storm of sparks between both you and Cloud while you and him sparred with The Highwind behind the both of you, docked on the ground for the group to take a bit of a break and for Cid to do a critical bit of maintenance on it with the semi-reluctant help of Vincent and the others.

Off to the side, Barett, Red, Tifa, and Aerith were in the middle of preparing food for the group that was kindly provided by You, Cloud, and Yuffie.

Speaking of Yuffie, the little thief was also hanging around the cooking group, though she was mostly pestering them with questions while trying to sneak bites of the ingredients, especially the dough Barret was making for the Cookies Marlene had always loved and the special dish Tifa was making with the help of Aerith who was chopping the vegetables that would serve as the sides and Red who was serving as the flame while he took a nap.

Alas, Yuffie’s attempts to get into either were thwarted by Barret lightly flicking her on the head or Tifa slapping her hand with a set of tongs.

This was an important dish for Tifa after all, and after being slapped on the hand for the twelfth time, Yuffie decided to ask her a few questions in order to distract her.

They were, of course, ineffective at distracting her.

However, the answers she gave most definitely did distract Yuffie.

Especially when she asked “Where did you guys even find someone who can go toe to toe with a SOLDIER like Cloud?”

Barret let out a groan and Aerith let out a chuckle as Tifa got a glint in her eye.

“Now why’d you have to go and ask something like that?” Barret groaned

“Well then Yuffie, if you must know, our resident Lancer kind of just… walked into Seventh Heaven one day from the desert, massive lance and all, before ordering a cup of clean water, a burger of whatever would be easiest to make, some kebabs and a single cookie.

“Wait a minute… isn’t that what you guys are cooking right now?” Yuffie asked, enraptured by the story.

“Correct, Tifa here has a question she wants to ask, but that's neither here nor there, I want to hear about their… What did Cloud call it? Supercharger Lance and Powerslave Engine?” Aerith asked as she continued to clean the vegetables, cut them, place them on sticks, and then grill the kebabs.

This is when Barrett decided to pipe up.

“I’ll admit, I don’t know all that much about it, just that it was a part of some sort of experiment involving using summoning Materia to power weaponry. Hell, up until we met that crazy fool I thought it was just some bedtime story to be told to anyone who got too uppity with Shin Ra, that they would ship you off somewhere and have you use one of those ticking time bombs on a stick against anyone they didn’t like. Yet there is one of those weapons right over there, apparently it isn’t as much of a myth as I thought.”

“Ooh! What was that experiment called!?” Yuffie asked, completely invested now.

“If memory serves, Project Dragoon. And let me tell you, I can definitely see why after the first time I saw that lance really go into action!” Barrett stated before beginning to recount the tale of the Airbuster.

“We had our backs to the wall, some mean bastard of a Robot was sicced on us by Shinra himself-” Barrett stated as the entire group, even the sleeping Red said in unison.

“May he burn in hell eternally.”

“-It wasn’t looking pretty, not because we couldn’t handle the bot but because we were running out of time on our bomb. Then the Dragoon there decided to pull out that limit break of theirs.” Barret stated, his memory returning to that moment which would forever be something he would remember.

“Retracting heat shields, activating turbines, injecting fuel… LIMIT BREAK: POWERSLAVE SUPERCHARGER!!!” you shouted as you raised your lance which was beginning to hum and spin as the blackened and soot covered metal slid open in places, revealing a blood red materia crystal about the size of Barrett's shoulder within that let out an infernal heat upon the battlefield.

Then… it began to scream like a banshee, the moisture in the air vaporizing, the materia flaring to life and your lance beginning to spin faster and faster, as if it was getting up to the right speed for something, like an engine readying for take off.

Little did they know, that was an accurate descriptor of what was about to happen.

You grabbed the Supercharger Lance tight in your hands as the revolutions of the metal finally came up to speed and then… you were gone

BOOM!

The arm of the robot flew off as you cratered into the metal wall before pushing off and disappearing.

BOOM!

The second arm was destroyed and you appeared on the catwalk before vanishing.

BOOM!

Its lower right half exploded and you appeared behind it.

BOOM

Its lower left was gone in a flash and you were in the sky behind Barrett, Cloud, and Tifa.

Then finally.

BOOM!

A molten hole appeared in the core of the mechanical monster, you directly behind it, Lance glowing red and melting the metal catwalk just from being in contact with it.

“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT AND WHY DIDN’T YOU DO IT SOONER!!!” Barrett shouted in equal parts amazement and frustration.

“A Powerslave engine?” Cloud muttered to himself in shock.

“After that, all hell broke loose and we lost track of Cloud, not to mention we had to carry that crazy idiot and their damn near flaming lance back to Seventh Heaven.” Barrett muttered irritatedly.

“After that came the whole Don Corneo debacle.” Aerith chimed in.

“Who is-” Yuffie began before Barrett, Tifa, and Aerith all shouted in unison.

“NO!”

“Alright, alright, alright jeez!” Yuffie quietly muttered before asking “What happened next?

“Next… the plate fell…” Tifa mournfully stated as her mind wandered back to just after, when everyone brought her back up, both to save Aerith and to show Shin Ra they wouldn’t die so easily.

“Well then… better get ready old man… CAUSE AVALANCHE IS COMING FOR YOUR ASS!!!” Barrett shouted, raising his gun to the tower.

“We’ll be taking Aerith off your hands as well!” Cloud shouted as he took his sword and pointed it at the tower just like Barrett and his gun.

You smirked as you picked up your Lance and followed suit, offering your hand to Tifa who took it and was pulled up as you shouted “You're gonna be paying from out of the grave to fix all of this! Aerith, Sector Seven, The Slums, all of it!”

After a moment, Tifa followed everyone else's lead and raised her closed fist at the tower and shouted “Mako, The Planet, The People, ALL OF IT!!! WE REFUSE TO BE YOUR TOOLS ANY LONGER!!!”

After that, they spent the next hour or so parroting back their adventures and all the hijinks that took place during them.

And over that Time, Yuffie noticed something, whenever Tifa would talk about you, she would get a certain look in her eye, her face would start to turn a tad pink around the cheeks and she would always say things in a certain way… if Yuffie had to describe it, she would call it an admiring tone.

Then, finally, after dinner when Tifa asked you to come somewhere private with her and then the two of you returned, hand in hand looking extremely happy it hit the ninja.

The reason Tifa went through making this meal.

The reason she would talk so fondly about when you had her back or she had yours.

The reason she held you in high regard as a person, and a fighter.

It was because Tifa Lockhart had a crush.

A crush she just acted on.

We’re talking about Perfuma again? Ooh, please tell me you watch the 80s episode with her! I wanna know what you thought, because I LOVED it!

Thanks for the ask! Long post! TLDR Perfuma is a very good character, the original She-ra is badass, the original is so much funnier than the reboot, the original characters have so much personality! I also like how more characters get more use and how both sides are competent! 10/10!

I'm watching it rn so I'll do a live reaction! Hope that's ok! I'll just be putting my thoughts down here while I'm watching the episode! Ok, starting off Shadow Weaver's voice is um...interesting, that's one of the few things the reboot improved upon. Same with Hordak's voice, they like make a weird noise every second it kinda sounds like a wheeze or a snort? It's no big deal though, I still like the voices. I'm only about a minute in and it's already funnier than the reboot- Okay why are the villains actually competent here- The villains in the reboot are so stupid but here they're actually competent. Good job original she-ra! Also, I love how Shadow Weaver made Hordak believe it was his plan. Mermista has a personality besides being snarky!? Wow! Perfuma is so pretty wth- 5 minutes in and it has way more personality than Horde Prime could dream of! Ok, She-ra's original design is so pretty- Bow has a use!? Oh my god! He's more than just the black best friend stereotype! The princesses are competent as well? Wow! I love Perfuma's voice! Also, I like how she's autistic-coded, I can definitely see it, she also broke out of her cell on her own! Go girl! Also I fucking love Hordak, he's such a funny character. Yes he's annoyed by Perfuma but he's supposed to be a villain. Unlike the reboot where the HEROS are the ableist ones. This episode continues to be hilarious, how is it so much funnier than the reboot despite being so much older- I laughed more at this episode than I did the entire show- She-ra is so fucking cool oml- I love the way she-ra called Hordak Hordikins to annoy him. Yeah it's very good! I'd probably rate it 10/10! It's a very good, funny episode!

Ooh, the Dickpoll. Dick like Tim is cursed with having a bunch of acceptable writers who also tend to have a huge gaping flaw.

Marv Wolfman: can I get spicy here? I don't really like Wolfman. Yes yes, foundational to creating Nightwing, he IS NTT - but I don't particularly enjoy NTT. I like the OTT lineup. He's also dealing with the fact a lot of his content is now 30-40 years old. Plus, when they DID give him a Nightwing run, it was the most retrospective thing ignoring almost everything that had happened to Dick since he was returned to the Bat office in 1993-1994.

Chuck Dixon: I don't think Chuck is Dick's best writer. I think he is way too heavy handed with the 'be my own man, Bruce' narrative most of the time. Despite this he also wrote Robin #13, and Dick and Bruce's conversation there, especially "That's the way it is between fathers and sons" is peak perfect Bruce and Dick. He set up pretty much everything about what is now treated by the fandom as Nightwing's 'default' situation - Blüdhaven and a good chunk of the associated rogues gallery. Also he's the architect of well-written Dick/Babs so I love him for that.

Devin Grayson: Devin shouldn't actually be allowed to write Dick as his primary writer because she loves him too much and has elaborate headcanons that contradict what other writers have written. That said, she's actually a solid writer and her runs tend to be much better when she's got other characters around to spread her attention between. She wrote Transference in Gotham Knights, after all! She wrote "Like Riding a Bike" about Dick and Donna in Batman Chronicles! Also as I've said before, part of the issue with her Nightwing run is she got royally screwed over by War Games and then Nightwing Year One right as she was trying to land the bleakest part of a whump run, and never recovered from it.

Jay Faerber: he's...fine? I think the only bit anyone seriously cares about is the Who is Donna Troy storyline.

Judd Winick: Oooh Winick. He likes writing Dick more broken than I enjoy Dick. Also I hold a grudge against him for his Batman & Robin story, when I was desperately hoping someone other than Tomasi would write bearable Dick and Damian interactions in their own title and instead we got a random Jason Todd story.

Peter Tomasi: Tomasi's run on Nightwing, particularly Freefall, has the best understanding of Dick as a character that anyone has ever written in a book titled 'Nightwing'. Fight me. Also he had the only good run on Batman & Robin 2009, a truly cursed book, blighted only by the fact nobody stopped to check basic facts about Aaron Langstrom.

Grant Morrison: uh. um. I guess Morrison was in the loop for the Dick and Tim storyline in Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul, even though pretty much all of it happened in books they weren't writing? Bottom of my list. Seriously, Paul Dini's Streets of Gotham did most of the heavy lifting initially with making Reborn Batman!Dick appealing.

Scott Snyder: Dick's characterisation in both The Black Mirror and Gates of Gotham is actually really good! He brought some really good 'team leader Dick Grayson' energy to the Batfam during a period they needed it, and he gave us back Dick and Cass having a functional relationship together.

Anyone I think was overlooked here? Hmmm. Not notably, but I'll shout out Scott Beatty, whose Dick in his Gotham Knights run was always consistently entertaining, and who collabed with Dixon for a bunch of things I think have great Dick in them (Joker's Last Laugh, Batgirl Year One, Robin Year One).

Warning: I think I will always ask that the femreader be Osiris's daughter. But well, she and Seth due to a certain circumstance, the next day the reader wakes up in Seth's body and later finds out that Seth is in her body. And they will have to stay like this for a week, and then they will return to their bodies, which will happen throughout that week hehe.

It may seem strange but I'm curious to know what would happen if Seth ends up swapping bodies with someone, and I was also inspired by a Chinese anime.

Ra was feeling mischievous after creating a spell that could switch two souls into the others bother and decided to use it on both Seth and you to see how you two would react and see if there needed to be any changes to it or not plus she was feeling bored and mischievous so why not.

You and Seth weren’t expecting to see the opposite of what you’re used to see in the morning after you two woke up, you two see if you were still asleep and this was a dream but it all came back negative on the predicament you two were in this fine morning.

Yep, you and Seth switched bodies somehow, you both didn’t know how you did this or who did this if it was possible in the first place.

You had to explain this to your family as you both know it’s going to be hard if you even tried to act like the other what with you both having different personalities and hobbies along with habits that can make others aware that Seth isn’t himself like usual and vise versa with you.

Isis had a good laugh at Seth’s part of the predicament before starting to find a way to reverse this or figure out how long this will last along with figuring out who did it. Osiris didn’t say much but wished you two luck in this predicament. Nephthys gave her sympathy and said that she will help all that she can to make sure you two were comfortable.

Horus and Anubis also joined in with Nephthys on helping you two buy Anubis teased Seth which earned a smack on the head from Seth who was in your body Horus also scolded Anubis as this was a odd predicament you two were in and that they don’t know if it was temporary or permanent so they shouldn’t tease Seth or you about something that was out of your control.

Seth and you decide to mostly stay in and take this opportunity to learn about the other in more ways than one, once a week had passed you both found each other back in your original bodies and surprisingly you also found out that you were pregnant too which make you joke and tease on how Seth would have been a great mother if the spell lasted longer than a week.

Let’s just say this won’t be the last time ra will use that spell on you two since it had brung her much amusement than she thought it would bring.

How: while on a ‘friendship’ date.

Friendship dates are like a running joke between you two, kind of? Mostly it’s just a fun way for you to relax and unwind, to take a break from the stressful rush of idol life and be yourselves without the heavy expectation of your idol personalities hanging over your head.

Sometimes you’ll invite some friends to tag along, like Mika or Ritsu. Usually though, it’s just you and Arashi.

Normally you would go to a cozy café? But since this is a special occasion, you want to be prepared.

Most likely, you would probably take her to a fancy-ish restaurant (you want it to be as date-like as possible but also not too fancy since you don’t want to overwhelm her! Plus, this was supposed to be a way for you two to unwind in the first place, you don’t want to cause her any undue stress.) and treat her like a proper lady. Pull out a chair for her, compliment her, pay for her food, the works.

At the end, you tell her you have something to say. She’s waiting, looking all concerned and gorgeous.

Ooh boy. Deep breath.

She’s kind of a little insecure that she’s maybe ‘too much’ at times? And it can be off putting to some people?

So when you told her you had something important to say, and you looked so nervous and scared she was kind of worried that it was gonna be something bad?

Like, maybe you wouldn’t want to be friends anymore…

Which would be awful, sure, but she’d understand! Really! She wouldn’t even fault you for it, since she definitely understands growing out of friendships.

But of course, you have to surpass all her expectations. Not even in her wildest fantasies did she imagine something like this.

(And no, this is not because of your big fat crush on him, it’s just because he’s so sweet and kind you can’t help but enjoy talking to him.)

Mitsuru’s complaining, though good-naturedly, because you vetoed his idea of wearing car-themed outfits for their next Live and Nazuna agreed with you wholeheartedly.

“That’s not fair, nii-chan has to take your side because he’s in love with you!”

I’m sorry, what?

Fucking. What.

You…have no idea how to respond. Because? You were not expecting this?

Nazuna’s frozen in place. Just…

Staring. At you.

Error 404. Nazuna.exe has stopped working.

And you’re a little worried, to be honest.

Nazuna looks like he’s on the verge of either tears or a mental breakdown and honestly you would not even blame him. His face is flushed and blotchy red.

You ask him if he’s okay. He says nothing, which, yeah. Stupid question. Being outed to the person you potentially are in love with is…an awkward situation, to say the least.

You don’t want to stress him out more, but you kind of want to know because if it’s a joke, playing with both of your feelings like this is. So not okay.

You ask him if what Mitsuru says was true.

He looks at you nervously–because if you don’t return his feelings that’s fine but if this messes up your friendship beyond repair he has no idea what he would do–and asks what you would do if he said yes.

You just giggle, relieved. It seems too good to be true, but you know Nazuna is nothing if not honest, especially with his feelings.

He looks a little apprehensive at first, but your next words seem to assuage whatever fears are plaguing him:

“That’s great because I love you too, silly!”

☆—SAKUMA RITSU

Who confesses first: Ritsu! Kind of…

How: before he falls asleep.

You and Ritsu are relaxing in the garden. His head is on your lap and you're casually playing with his hair as you scroll through Whole Hands.

You're smiling at the barrage of online game notifications Sazanami-senpai and Makoto-kun have sent you when Ritsu tugs on your sleeve to get your attention.

You ignore him, because he can get a bit possessive at times. It’s not even a romantic thing, he just has a tendency to gatekeep the things–and people!–he cares about. It’s cute, but it can also be pretty annoying, especially when you want to spend time with other people who aren’t Ritsu, so you’ve had to get proficient in the art of ignoring him lest you fall prey to his whims.

He doesn’t give up, though.

He keeps whining and pouting, and it’s really adorable. He’s like a little grumpy, needy kitten, but you must stay focused!

Finally, he seems to come to some sort of solution because he snuggles closer into your stomach and smiles deviously at you.

“Hey~ I’m in love with you.”

You don’t register it at first–you’re distracted by the adorable pictures of Daikichi Akehoshi’s spamming in the StarPro groupchat to the despair of both Isara and Midori-kun–but when you do, you’re flabbergasted.

Your screen tumbles from your hands and you’re left gaping unattractively at the boy curled in your lap.

What the everloving fuck?!

You try to shake him awake, because? Confirmation would be appreciated. Did you hear that right? Did he, Sakuma Ritsu of Knights, actually tell you he’s in love with you!?

It seems he’s taking revenge on you for your previous transgressions, because he doesn’t stir, not even when you shake him vigorously.

Ritsu, whyyyy?

But you huff a laugh in the end, because you guess he wouldn’t be your Ritsu if he wasn’t so difficult.

“I’m in love with you too, I guess…”

You don’t notice but he’s wearing a pleased smile after he wakes up, and it stays on his face for a while.

You definitely notice when he plants a kiss on your lips as you drop him off at his dorm. And for the second time that day, you’re left a flustered mess, all because of one stupidly annoying (yet endearing) vampire.

☆—SUOU TSUKASA

Who confesses first: Tsukasa!

How: after a live!

It’s another successful Live, and Tsukasa…he’s just so exhilarated. Like, he’s riding the high of the adrenaline rush and his heart is beating so fucking fast.

And when you come up to him to greet him backstage, you’re all like, you were incredible up there Suou-kun! You looked so cool on the stage, I had so much fun watching you!

And he’s used to compliments from people, of course he is. He’s the leader of Knights, one of the big three of Yumenosaki Academy. This is par for the course for him.

But there’s something different about the way you look at him, eyes sparkling so brightly. His heart begins to race and it’s got nothing to do with the Live.

You’re rambling on about something or the other but he can’t think of anything except how gorgeous you look right now.

And before he knows it, his mouth is opening, seemingly of its own accord.

“You’re beautiful…may I kiss you?”

Cue Leo and Arashi in the background going, “Oooooooooh~”

You’re gaping. Face flushed, arms hanging limp, you’re just. Shocked.

Tsukasa’s blushing too, but he’s still going strong. Hand outstretched, he waits patiently for your brain to reboot.

Of course, you say yes, because who wouldn’t?!

It’s a chaste little peck, just a slight brushing of lips, but when you pull back his face is redder than his hair.

You giggle and ask him if that kiss was enough for him. He flushes even more and begins stammering.

It’s adorable. Obviously, he wants to kiss you more (and you want to kiss him more as well!) but he’s a little too awkward to tell you that, so you decide to take the lead.

“Well, that’s not enough for me. I think we should definitely kiss more!”

He nods rapidly, eyes wide. He’s going to die. Cause of death: overloaded by your absolute fucking adorableness. RIP Suou Tsukasa, you will be missed. We’ll get Leo to write your eulogy.

Only Sena’s timely intervention prevents him from fainting right there and then.

“I’ll be waiting for you, Tsukasa~kun!”

Trips over his own feet when he hears you say his name.

Oh my fucking god.

Leo’s just fucking cackling at this point, while Arashi’s like, wow Tsukasa-chan is such a charmer~!

Poor baby.

He still gets to kiss you lots later, though, so it was worth all the embarrassment in his opinion.

Do you, or anyone actually, know where/when the '-bowl' sufix started being used in Fandom? Because I can't find any kind of origin, and surprisingly Fanlore doesn't have a article about it (as far as I checked maybe I didn't search well?). I just found and know that it's used for kinda old and relatively new fandoms, thanks to a two-year-old Reddit post.

For anyone who doesn't get/know about the '-bowl' sufix: is basically an All × One thing. For example, if you encounter 'Dekubowl' this means that Deku, the character, is shipped with everyone or that at least everyone else have a crush with Deku.

I can only think of the 'Super Bowl' (just as one comment in that Reddit post suggest) for its origin, but when we talk about Fandom culture we never know. It could have originated from anything no-related to the Super Bowl, LOL.

Ooh, interesting. I've never heard of this in my life, and I have no idea what a -bowl suffix is supposed to mean, even if I guess it has to do with the super bowl.

It's not surprising Fanlore doesn't have this if it's coming from BNHA or somewhere similar. Fanlore is fantastic on the history of Western "Media Fandom", zines, K/S, etc. It's much weaker in areas that OTW early adopters haven't spent as much time in.

You should write the -bowl article yourself!

I went into AO3's tag search and looked for 'bowl'. I found 1311 tags, 90 of them canonicals.

I'm seeing a ton of references to the Super Bowl, dust bowl AUs, pet play with pet food bowls, Dream in the fishbowl, unending uses like "I'm crying into my bowl of cereal as I write this", "bowl of honey nut feelios", "bowl of pornflakes", "me shaking the food bowl of sbi wilbur-centric angst: come get y'all's juice", etc., and plenty of references to YOI katusdon bowls. Lots of fandoms and episodes have 'bowl' in their titles.

Zeroing in on more related things, I'm seeing BNHA over and over and not much else...

EXCEPT!

Fruit bowls!

I see scattered references to "let's add him into that whole fruit bowl" and "the whole fruit bowl is here" and so on. Some of them are crack fic where everyone is a banana, but a lot of them seem to be a metaphor for "everything together".

Okay, I just spent far too much time trying to categorize tags. Out of the 'bowl' ones, about a third appear to be this kind of sense (counting by number of tags, not number of works).

Game of Thrones has a bunch, but they refer (as far as I know) to which characters will hypothetically kill each other and emerge victorious, not to group shipping.

Some tags I found, like 'edelbowl' sounded more like a group ship than an X/everyone. I also found a scattering of tags that were like 'all of them in a bowl together', which is probably related.

But mainly, what I found is that this is from BNHA and it's recent.

The other fandoms where I found it were:

That's giving me a very distinctive picture of a fan who's probably in their 20s or 30s, mostly like anime and some video games, and is not the type that edits Fanlore.

There's nothing actually old here: it's recent anime and stuff that is still a megafandom, like Naruto.

I'm seeing a scattering of 'dekubowl' from 2017 and then other character tags taking off in like 2019. This is definitely a recent trend in terminology, at least on AO3.

Okay but I’m writing a fanfic and would like your take on it: Danny and Damian sibling au but Danny is like a year or 2 older and was disposed of as a baby cause Ra’s was like “ew a girl” or whatever maybe baby Danny was sick or smth (trans Danny supremacy)- blah blah Talia is NOT killing her firstborn so she sends le babe to an old “colleague” which is Maddie :3 anyways Damian and Danny never meet until when Danny’s 15 he goes on this field trip to Gotham they get a tour of Gotham Academy Dami and Danny meet but don’t recognize each other and it’s like a slightly slow-burn identity reveal? Really only one part cause Danny messes up in front of Red Hood or Nightwing in the early chapters lol

I like this a lot! I love trans Danny appearing in Ras's way and ruining his plans like,

Danny and Dani "haunt" Ras everytime he's in Gotham. Thier mom is cool though. Danny and Damian both just stare critically at eachother like, "There's something about you..."

Nightwing would be like, "Ooh, new baby brother!"

Red Hood would try to protect him from Bruce and his adoption tendencies, especially since Danny is around the age hood died at. Also he's happy cause he has an excuse to do this whenever someone even mildly inconveniences Danny:

Trickstar is like the unofficial "main" group of enstars and tbh i dislike their music but they're a cute little unit. best friends. love mao btw. mao is also ritsu's childhood friend and also they're kinda gayasses together. RYUSEITAI is based off of like, superhero shows :) their whole gimmick is being superheros and their music is very upbeat and fun :) silly little guys. Double Face died. yeah they're dead. ANYWAY. mama and kohaku kill people. that's it. did i forget to mention that kohaku was raised to be an assassin and kills people? yeah. that 15 year old has killed. anyway df died and mama is going on hiatus and kohaku is just kinda there.

Silly fanfic idea

Hordak, Entrapta and Catra go to a school to teach kids what NOT to do when they see old Horde weaponry lying around after the war. It goes just as good as you think it would with those three trying to do a presentation.

It's part of their community service.

Oh, dear, so it's like those recovery of land-mine programs and such? Like, teaching kids if you find a mine or an old grenade, DO NOT TOUCH IT and "Don't play in this field" and so forth? (I don't know if the Horde ever used anything as horrible and real-lifey as land-mines, though. Maybe some kind of G-rated "stun-mines" - but still something they want kids to stay away from). And "Don't play on the tanks like those people in Elberon who made one into a confetti-canon, THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS and they could have all gotten hurt!" Hordak takes it very, very seriously. He takes everything seriously. He also feels like he MUST ATONE. Occasionally, however, since he had the program of training kids to be soldiers and was an engineered soldier, himself, he'll accidentally lapse into instructing kids how to USE the weapons they find laying around, and oh, dear, other clones who help manage the kids just lapse into that, too! They're showing them the various settings on an arm-mounted canon and the kids are all "COOL! BADASS!" - but those canons are actually relatively safe because they're keyed into clone genetic-signature and cybernetics, so Etherian children who don't have internal hardware cannot use them, but they can easily, TOO EASILY persuade said clones to demonstrate by blowing up things. Someone blows up Principal Castaspella's office. She's okay. Catra is kind of non-chalant about it. It's not like these weren't the things she was trained to use ever since she learned to walk. Hordak has a gak! moment when she describes some of the stuff the Horde-children were not supposed to do around the Fright Zone and did anyway. She, Adora and Lonnie used to play Hot Potato with the Stun Grenades. She and Adora used to have contests of how far they could throw them off their moonset-watching spot. Hordak's ear twitches because he had no idea that the cadets were managing to get into the grenade stashes and wasting Horde resources. Entrapta gets into the SCIENCE! of it all. "And this is how, exactly, a laser-blast can disrupt a mammal's entire nervous system!" "Oooh, ooh, this war-bot has been modified to melt through solid steel! For infiltration missions!" And, while she's trying to atone and teach SAFETY, by the end of the day, an entire class of kindergartners is building weapons-grade mini-robots. There is now a robot-army demanding cookies. Queen Glimmer's head is about to explode. Adora has transformed into She-Ra. Bow is crying. "Community Service" did not go as planned. (I'm a little "buh" on fanfic writing lately, so @sometipsygnostalgic - or anyone else who does silly comics in this fandom - here's your sign if you're bored).

if i could name my brain, what wld i name it: WHAT SORT OF QUESRIONS ARE THESE 😭😭 good lord. id name it the fucking universe. i had this thing when i was younger where i started this universe and kept building characters upon characters until there were hundreds and i knew each of their intricate storylines and id act them out and it was actually bad bc i couldn’t focus on anything else for literal years (there you go, big moons secret - not rlly a secret, i’ve said it before) so yes. there is an entire universe up in my brain probably.

where do you want to travel the most: i wanna go to the south of france + tokyo + venice, but i heard it’s not all that. my fav places that i’ve been to are vietnam and america which r two very different places and i adored them - vietnam more for the food and culture and surroundings, american more bc of family + tourist attractions + theme parks. so. maybe one of those wins.
