OC Sparrow Hawk Art Doll

He stands about 22 inches high and is fully posable with ball and socket armature.

His glass eyes glow in the dark and his fur has feathers layered in parts.

His face, hands and feet were sculpted by me out of polymer clay and cosclay.

His hands feature a joint at the wrist, locked by a pin.

His tail is extra long and has wire so it’s also fully Posable.

About Sparrow Hawk:

Sparrow Hawk is a Phoenix and Griffon hybrid. He’s a warlock and the items on his belt are magical implements.

His eyes glow blue when he’s using magic or when he’s mad.

He uses the jewels across his body on his hands and forehead to help him use and focus his power.

Sparrow Hawk is a serious bad ass, but that doesn’t stop him from being a kind and devoted babysitter/body guard.

Sparrow Hawks vibe, lore and name are inspired by the character Sparrowhawk (Ged) in the Studio Ghibli movie, Tales from Earthsea.

This is Phoenix of Flame Renewed, an exercise in softer layering techniques.

I used the Caran d'Ache colored pencils here, so I had to layer colors in a lot of soft, light layers in order to get nice gradients and to preserve luminosity. It was an enjoyable experiment, and I need to get these guys back out on the table for some more experiments one of these days.

There are also two small amethysts.
