I’ve been kinda thinking this for a while because I know the dpxdc fandom likes thin as a bean and shouldn’t be capable of lifting Superman so easily, buff as a Viking, and as small but so much curves like his mom, Danny Fenton/Phantom.
And I love them all. For various reasons.
But I just thought about something really hard for a second.
Danny died at 14.
He died being small, and young. He became ecto-contaminated in a way so much more different from Vlad who had been blasted in the face by the smallest portion of ecto-portal that infected and corrupted into his skin.
This is in comparison to Danny who literally had a dimension rip open on top and inside of him.
To me, Vlad basically got the equivalent of a mini bomb exploding in his face and came out of it with severe third degree burns that translated into Ghost Acne.
And then we look at it again from their Ghost’s.
Danny’s ghost is that of a 14 year old boy who died in a cold portal in his parents basement.
Vlad who got blasted in college, was a twig and yet his ghost form is buff and aged just like his aged human body.
If he ‘died’ when he got hit by the mini-portal than his ghost would mimic the form he died in.
But he isn’t.
Instead we get Two different spectrums of a ghostly appearance for two halfa’s.
Ghosts who are meant to form as how they had been during the time of their death. Ghosts who will always be at their core the person they died as, the identity of those last seconds before death took them.
That’s the point of ghosts.
The only time it changes is if there are external third factors.
Such as Aragon’s Necklace. Or being able to use something of the living to ‘change shape’ as the Lunch Lady, or stretch yourself into a giant like Walker, and the greatest exception being Amorpho who HAS no identity to begin with. More than likely a thought that was made but never given anything further, and thus his jealousy with identity. Either that or he died never making a solid identity that could carry on into death, thus making him faceless because he didn’t even know who he truly was at that time of death.
Even Spectra is different! She’s more of a poltergeist-demon than an actual Ghost from the way she does things and even from how she looks in ghost form.
So with that, who is actually Human-Ghost and who just happens to be Ghost adjacent enough to get powers?
Danny is a real Halfa and Vlad is just mimicking one.
Now for the Dan, evil-phantom, of the fandom.
Dan is just BUFF.
He’s an adult. He GREW.
But it wasn’t due to Danny.
It was due to whatever he took from Vlad/Plasmius.
To me, Plasmius was just the ecto that resided in Vlad. All that anger and resentment that gave birth to itself from Vlad’s own anger at what he went through with the mini-portal. It was ecto that was residing in him, ecto from the Infinite Realms itself that was made INTO an idea and then given form.
Ecto that lived, Venom-style, in Vlad.
An idea that grew up with Vlad BECAUSE Vlad was growing up himself. He wasn’t thinking of himself as that scrawny college student anymore. He was becoming an adult so of course the ecto would mimic that idea of Vlad and make Plasmius older too.
Plasmius was a fairy tale that Vlad made up, and that’s why Dan was able to rip that part out of Vlad like it was it’s own true ghost. But it wasn’t, and so it collapsed without its person to control it. At least until Dan dove into the ecto and took the ideas that were there and intertwined himself with it.
Those YEARS of ideas isn’t so easily brushed away either, and even less so when Danny and Vlad had believed that Plasmius was Vlad’s ghost, a halfa just like Danny. So of course Dan would believe in the idea that he took/ate Vlad’s ghost. And that idea would spread because ecto is just another form of power and vitality. So of course that ecto should change Dan.
And then it did.
It changed his colors first and then eventually his physical form.
Thus we have Buff older Dan.
Now back to Danny.
With all that, this means that Phantom is never going to age.
Because Danny did die that day. He died, and only came back because the dimensional rip of ecto from the Infinite Realms tied his ghost neatly into his human body. The human body that just died.
He isn’t alive, his ghost that is tied to the body is simply puppeteering it. And as the Infinite Realms is literally all of time and space throughout every single multiverse in existence, it’s not too far of a shot to say that it could snatch that very moment, that heartbeat Danny craves restlessly, the heartbeat just before he truly died entirely.
Danny is a moment in time.
So his ghost will never age. And neither will his body.
Basically, Danny is forever an eternal 14 year old twig and he will be so very mad about it.

How to Adopt Your Clone Pt. 5
Previous
To say that Danny was panicking was the understatement of the century. Panicking was too light of a word for what he was feeling. It was more like catastrophizing. Honestly he thought he felt true panic and horror when his parents the Fentons caught and vivisected him as Phantom a few weeks earlier. Yet standing outside of the operating room with Ellie’s core in it he realizes that it wasn’t even close to what he was feeling right now. The feeling of her melting in his arms wasn’t something he would ever forget, no matter how hard he tries.
Panic wasn’t the only thing he was feeling at that moment either. Guilt clung to him like Johnny’s shadow clung to him. All he could think is that he should have noticed something sooner. That if he had done his rounds of making sure the Fruitloop wasn’t being loopy instead of healing that this wouldn’t have happened. Even with his internal voice, that sounded a lot like Jazz, telling him otherwise. It would tell him that the only one at fault here was the Fruitloop and that he couldn’t blame himself for taking care of himself. If he had done his rounds in that state his insides would have just fallen out. But his core would just scream louder. He had failed his Obsession of Protection and it wouldn’t let him forget that.
“Great One,” Frostbite says, entering the room while simultaneously gaining Danny’s attention.
“Frostbite!” Danny exclaimed, rushing to the yeti, “How is she? Is she-is she going to make it?”
Frostbite gives the young king a soft smile, “Young Ellie will make it but,” Frostbite frowns, “there are some complications.
Danny gulps, shakingly asking, “What kind of complications?”
The tribe leader pulled out a photo from the folder in his claws.
“This,” Frostbite began, “is Ellie’s core.”
The photo Frostbite presented showed a glowing sphere with a large crack going through it.
“As you can see her core has been cracked. This is due to the large psychological damage that Plasmius caused and Spectra amplified.
“The psychological damage?” Danny questions, “Like how my vivisection scar is taking longer to heal than normal because of how it affected me mentally?”
The ice giant nodded solemnly. “We are beings of emotion. Our physical forms are a projection of how we mentally see ourselves. It is one of the reasons it is so hard to damage us with just physical attacks. On the other hand mental and emotional attacks affect us much more, to the point that we assume physical wounds that can take much longer to heal. It is one of the reasons that ghosts like Spectra are so dangerous.”
Danny’s face falls, “Then what does that mean for starlight?”
Frostbite frowns, “It means a lot of things but most preventingly it will affect her age and need for a parent bond.
“Age? Parent bond?” Danny echoes.
“As you know, young Ellie’s physical age is different from her actual age due to Plasmius’ experiments. When one retreats into their core it is for protection and when they reform it is either to their ‘true’ form or one for protection. This will be two-fold for young Ellie. To protect her she will reform in her ‘true’ form which will be closer to her actual age.”
“How in the Ancients is being younger protect you?!” Danny asked incredulously.
“Parents,” Frostbite replied patiently.
Seeing that Danny was still confused by his explanation Frostbite continued, “The main way young are protected is through their parents. Being a young child will bring potential parents to protect them from threats by appealing to their protective instinct.”
“It is also likely that the young one will mentally regress her memories.”
Danny asks with a scratchy voice, “She will lose her memories?”
“Yes and no. She will likely repress her memories to protect herself but will regain them in time when she will better be able to handle them.”
Danny stuffs his face in his hands, trying to push away the tears and feeling of failure. That this was all his fault. If he had been smarter, faster then-
“Great One?”
Danny takes a breath he doesn’t need and tries to focus on the task at hand.
“I’m fine. Just tell me what I can do to help.”
The yeti frowns but abides by the young king’s request.
“A parent bond forms in two ways, blood or, most commonly in the Realms, adoption. For young Ellie I would suggest you being the one to form the bond as you are related by blood and already have a strong bond.”
Danny stills, shocked. He had never really considered himself for the position with his age. But the more he thought about it the more he liked the option. There weren’t many he would trust with starlight, so why not do it himself. Not to mention if he is Ellie’s parent he can help her integrate in both the living and infinite Realms. He would have to leave the Fenton house, it wouldn’t be safe for her. He was already planning on getting emancipation anyway with the help of Jazz after they caught him as Phantom. He would just have to speed up the process. Oh! And he would need to get a job! Not to mention the paperwork and a safe place to stay. There was so much to be done!
“Wait,” Danny says, coming to a realization, “What does Ellie think of this?”
As much as Danny would love to adopt Ellie right then and there, the most important thing was what Ellie wanted. He wasn’t going to take that choice away, especially not with what just happened with the Fruitloop.
“For any bond to form the relationship must be recuperated. As such even though young Ellie won’t be corporal she will have a choice to accept or reject the bond,” Frostbite replied.
Danny straightens, “Then I’ll do it.”
To be continued . . .

Something that has been on my mind for a while but I haven’t seen get talked about at all:
In The Ultimate Enemy, I don’t think Vlad was a reliable narrator.
In the episode, Vlad explains that Danny was grief-stricken after the death of his family and friends, and he undergoes a procedure (performed by Vlad) to remove his emotions?? Vlad removes Danny's ghost half, which in turn uses the gauntlets to remove Vlad's ghost half, and Phantom fuses with Plasmius to create Dan/Dark Danny.
There are a few things I find interesting here.
Danny has been split before and found no issue.
During Identity Crisis, Danny's ghost and human forms get separated through the ghost catcher, resulting in Super Danny. Super Danny is a full-time superhero whose only purpose in life is to heroically save lives and protect the citizens of Amity Park.
Now compare this to the version of Phantom we're served during TUE. This version of Phantom seems so angry and vengeful, the antithesis of what we know Danny to be. Danny asked to have part of himself ripped out, and then lashed out when Vlad followed through.
I think Vlad exaggerated Danny's reaction here. Vlad is evil, and I believe he attributes this to his ghost self rather than accepting it as an inherent part of his person, so he assumes Danny is the same way. He doesn't realise that, like the Dairy King says, "not all ghosts are evil". Thus, he hyperbolizes the events that took place to make it seem as though it was Danny's inherently evil ghost half that ruined everything, not Vlad's own actions.
2. Danny wants his feelings to be ripped out.
Sure, Danny is a teen who just had his entire life pulled out from under him. Asking to have his human emotions removed might be something a 14 year old would ask for in the wake of the deaths of all the people he loves.
But to actually go through with it?
Ever since they met Danny has been wary of every action Vlad has taken. He knows exactly what Vlad's motives are, he knows the man is greedy and violent and relentless, he knows that Vlad is not someone that can be trusted. So why would he trust him with something like this?
This also leans into Phantom attacking him. If this part was true and Danny's ghost half did attack Vlad upon being separated, it stands to reason that maybe the procedure wasn't entirely consensual, and Phantom was acting out of self-preservation rather than just attacking because ghosts are evil.
3. Vlad is willing to rip Danny's feelings out.
Danny is grieving. I might understand him wanting this, but why did Vlad go through with it? The premise of the procedure is ridiculous at best, and I'm sure he knew how risky it was.
Instead of seeking help for this grieving and traumatised teenager, he used a strange invention to rip out Phantom, as if that would solve literally anything.
4. Phantom fuses with Plasmius.
Now, this is incredibly interesting, because they don't fuse by some weird coincidence or accident; Phantom separates Vlad from his ghost half, drops the gauntlets on the floor, turns intangible, and overshadows Plasmius while he's passed out on the ground.
What in the actual hell would the motivation be for this? I seriously cannot think of a single reason he would. Is it power? Phantom is plenty powerful on his own. Plasmius only really has the upper hand when it comes to duplicating himself, and even that is a skill Danny knows he can practice, so why do they fuse???
5. Phantom fuses with Plasmius 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Putting this separate from the other fusion part because I do what I want.
How does it work when a ghost fuses with another ghost? Phantom and Plasmius are never shown as having any sort of conflict, which is out of character considering their entire relationship is based in conflict. How do they suddenly get along when they share a single body?
Moreover, when they fuse, they take on a form that looks like Phantom, but with some of Plasmius's more ghostly features (forked tongue, green skin, etc.) even though it was Phantom taking over Plasmius's body. To me, it would make more sense, if these events were true, for the pair to look like Plasmius, but with a few Phantom-esque features.
That is, of course, unless that isn't what really happened...
6. Vlad cowers in fear during this.
As we've seen in the show, Vlad is not a cowardly man. He's cunning, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He will never portray himself as weak unless he stands to gain from it.
So why do we get a clear shot of him absolutely terrified of the scene unfolding in front of him?
Perhaps it could be because he's suddenly powerless while in the presence of a powerful and malicious ghost. This explanation could make sense. Except then how did he survive? Especially given that...
7. Danny was killed by Dark Danny.
I don't know if that really does justice to what happened. Danny is seen cowering on the floor while the ghost stands over him menacingly. Vlad narrates that some things are better left unsaid, but the next thing we see is the mansion blowing up. Obviously, the implication here is that Danny was killed by the ghost, and then the whole place was destroyed.
Now, strangely enough, my first question is about how Danny was conscious during this ordeal. The whole series of events couldn't have taken more than a few minutes from start to finish, but even though we see Danny strapped down, gas pumping into his lungs to keep him unconscious for the procedure, he's suddenly awake, aware, and free from his restraints.
There is no way Danny would've been alert enough to act the way he did in the short clip that was shown.
8. The ghost let Vlad live.
This makes no sense to me either. The Phantom/Plasmius fusion killed Danny, but allowed Vlad to live, even though both were in the lab.
Okay, maybe Vlad's ghost half wasn't willing to kill his human half out of some leftover sense of self-preservation.
But wouldn't Danny's ghost half have the same instinct? Doubly so since he's so hellbent on protecting humans?
And not only did he not kill Vlad outright, but Vlad was also not killed during the explosion, which implies he got out beforehand. This could have only happened if the ghost allowed him to escape, since I have no doubt it would have noticed if Vlad tried to make a quick getaway while it was distracted.
Why would the ghost kill Danny with no remorse, but not ensure Vlad also perished?
So, what really happened?
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. The true events could be any number of things. Maybe Vlad did the procedure for his own gain rather than to help rid Danny of his emotions. It could be to try and mold him into the perfect son while he's grieving and easy to manipulate. It could be that he was trying to separate Phantom to implant into a half-baked clone. I'm not entirely sure.
But what I do know is that what we're shown in The Ultimate Enemy is definitely not what really happened, and Vlad, for one reason or another, is manipulating the narrative to make himself look like a good person and a victim, all while painting Danny to be the reason the world is under attack.

Could you give us some headcanons you have for Dan pls? I love how you write him and I get !!! Whenever you post something
Oh no problem at all and thank you for the compliments (>ᴗ•)
One or two of these are expanded and refined from other headcanons I was asked in the past.
Some Dan Headcanons
• He is not a true "fusion" of Danny and Vlad's ghost halves. He could technically be considered an entirely new ghost created by accident, and picked up on some of Danny and Vlad's qualities. Since it looked like Phantom tried to overshadow Plasmius, whether for short term or longterm is unknown. It seemed like they were not compatible since they were only halves of a whole and "cancelled" each other out. What was left of them made way for Dan to form.
• Dan is a class of his own when it comes to ghost categories and power. Human-ghost hybrids are a complete anomaly that walk a fine line between life and death. With that balance in mind, it makes them far stronger than the average ghost. With the combined capabilities of Danny and Vlad, Dan is the most powerful ghost to date, rivalling that of even Pariah Dark.
• Trauma runs deep in him. It's only his immense power and sheer will that he hasn't broken (yet).
• Touch starved. Very touch starved. Dan wants to feel comfortable enough to experience gentle touches, caresses, all the works. He just finds it... hard.
• Bisexual as fuck.
• Finds it difficult to say "I love you" to his partner(s). His mind just doesn't click with it. Something too unsettlingly vulnerable for him and he hates appearing weak. Fortunately, he is able to express it in other ways that don't require him to actually say the words.
• This man fucks. A lot. Not the same as non-sexual touching, but it's the next best alternative. He loves it. He never forces himself onto others, he wants it to be an enjoyable experience.
• The biggest flirt, he loves teasing and poking at his targets of affection and watch them get all flustered and blushing.
• He still enjoys some human stuff. He won't actively engage in it if anyone's looking, though.
• Thinks the cape makes him look cooler, and bigger.
• One should consider it a privilege that Dan deemed to trust them. Break that... it's game over for you.

-----
Vlad's vision was starting to get fuzzy. He grabbed a bottle of eye drops and squeezed a couple drops into each eye before continuing to type up his notes and calculations.
It had been a very long day. Calling on Valerie to catch and bring Danielle to him, delivering the twenty-sixth clone to Maddie and Jack via ghost portal, collecting Danielle's mid-morph DNA when she arrived, orchestrating a showdown with Danny and Valerie so they could stabilize Danielle's ecto-DNA and rescue her, allowing Valerie to see him transform into his Plasmius alter ego because Maddie wanted to see if she and Danny would form an alliance—he was simply exhausted.
He was in his main cloning lab now, in a remote location far outside Amity Park. He kept glancing at his ghost portal, wishing he could use it to get to his home mansion and turn in for the night.
But he had work to finish first. Maddie was counting on him to begin cloning Danielle as soon as possible.
So he stretched his back and then hunched over his desk again to type some more.
And then Danny Phantom phased in through the wall. Vlad jumped up in response, his heart pounding.
This wasn't planned. Maddie hadn't somehow sent Danny here without telling him, had she?
"Daniel!" Vlad glanced over at a few screens showing live security camera footage all around this particular property, but he couldn't remember seeing any movement. Had he been so engrossed in his work that he didn't even notice Danny was here? "I didn't see you—I guess I wasn't paying attention—"
Danny landed on the floor and remained in ghost form, his gloved fists clenching as he stared at Vlad, panting. He looked to be on the verge of tears.
"Daniel?" Vlad frowned and approached him. "Is everything all right, little badger?"
"No," said Danny. "Everything is not all right."
Vlad waited, studying Danny's every movement closely. Danny pulled in a deep, shaky breath and lifted his chin, puffing out his chest slightly, but Vlad could see just how much he was breaking up inside.
"What have you been doing?" demanded Danny, his voice not as strong as his stance. "Those bodies I found." He pointed off to the side. "They're clones, aren't they? Clones of me."
Vlad's stomach sank, because he knew exactly what was in that direction Danny was pointing to: the fenced-in plot where he was keeping the dead clones for further study according to Maddie's instructions. The graveyard, as he often called it, though Maddie preferred to call it the clone body farm.
"Why do you have so many dead clones out there?" Danny looked over Vlad's shoulder and marched up to one of the screens, pointing to one that displayed a shot of the graveyard with a night vision filter. "There! It's right there. You can't pretend it's not true."
Vlad sighed. "Daniel—"
"What have you been doing to them?" Danny turned back to Vlad. "To me?"
Vlad thought for a very long moment. Normally he would call up Maddie and ask for her input, but there was no time for that now. He had to decide on his own the most convincing lie to tell Danny.
"I suppose there's no use hiding it anymore," he said slowly, carefully. "I've been cloning you for…experimental purposes. I am a scientist, as you know. Ghost research has always been my passion."
"But me?" Danny's eyes edged with tears. "I thought you wanted to clone me to—to be your son, not so you could experiment on me and kill me."
"Daniel, please listen—"
"And what kind of experiment is this?" Danny pointed to the graveyard footage. "What are you doing with all these dead clones now?"
"I am studying how they decompose," said Vlad. "I have prepared them in different ways and left them in various environments to study the different phases of decay for each. Some have been embalmed, some have not. Some are frozen, others are in an indoor location protected from the elements, but most are out above ground in that fenced-in area you came across."
"Some? Most?" Danny's eyes flashed. "Exactly how many are there, Vlad?"
Vlad coughed, stalling for a quick second as he debated lying or not. "Twenty-five," he said eventually, deciding to be at least partly truthful. There were in fact twenty-five clone bodies here on his property.
"Twenty-five," Danny echoed. He crossed his arms and glared at Vlad. "Prove it. Prove that's all there is."
Vlad cocked a brow. "Prove it? And how do you want me to do that?"
Danny looked around. "Your computer." He marched over to Vlad's computer. "I know you keep notes about these things. Show me your notes for the clones."
Vlad's gut knotted. "Daniel, I don't think—"
"Now, Vlad," spat Danny. "Show me right now before I destroy this whole lab."
"Daniel, please, this equipment is very expensive."
"You're rich."
"Well, yes, but—"
"And you've been using it to torture and kill me twenty-five times. There is no way I'm letting you do it a twenty-sixth."
They stared each other down for a moment. Vlad considered transforming right then, knocking Danny out and returning him to Maddie to ask what was to be done with him now.
But Danny had gotten so strong over the past couple years, and Vlad knew he had no defense if Danny chose to unleash that ghastly wail of his.
And even if he could knock Danny out before he used his wail, Maddie would be furious if he harmed Danny without her permission, especially if he caused any significant or irreversible injuries.
With a big sigh, Vlad surrendered. Perhaps if he controlled what Danny saw in his notes, it would be fine. He just had to figure out some way to explain this to Danny, some way that Maddie would be pleased with.
Because if Maddie lost her access to the clones, Vlad didn't like to think about what she might do in retaliation.
He was already logged in to his account as he clicked to open the document containing details about the various clones. He typed in a password to open the protected file and kept a firm grip on the mouse as he scrolled through the information. Each clone description had a large red status indicator that read DECEASED.
"Clones 1 through 25," said Vlad. "See? That's all there is. And if you'd like, you can count the bodies on my property for yourself to make sure they're all here."
"Wait a minute." Danny seized the mouse with a quick jerk and scrolled to the end of the document, revealing the information for the twenty-sixth clone with a green status indicator that read ALIVE.
"Twenty-six," Danny murmured. "Where is he?" Danny pointed to the ALIVE status and glared at Vlad. "I knew you were lying. Where is clone 26?"
Vlad groaned and pressed two fingers to the bridge of his nose. Shit, shit, shit.
"Is he here?" Danny looked around wildly. "What have you been doing to him?"
"Daniel—"
"Tell me where he is right now."
"Daniel, he's not here."
"Liar. You're always lying. Tell me where he is or I will tear this place apart until I find him."
"Daniel, I'm not lying. The twenty-sixth clone is not here."
"Then where is he?" Danny rounded on him with hard eyes. "Don't try to tell me you don't know. I know you know."
"Yes," said Vlad quietly. "I do."
"Where?"
Vlad tapped the screen, pointing out the description written for clone 26. "He's been delivered, Daniel. I delivered him myself earlier this afternoon, before the whole ordeal with Danielle."
Danny gawked at the description for a moment. "Where? Where did you deliver him? And to who?"
Vlad did not respond.
"To the Guys in White?" Danny gritted his teeth. "Have you been selling clones of me to the Guys in White so they can experiment on me?"
"No," said Vlad. "Although I certainly could've charged them a fortune for clones of Danny Phantom. But she was very much against that idea."
"She?" Danny's voice rose in pitch. "Who are you talking about?"
Vlad pressed his lips into a very thin line, knowing that there was no lie he could make up to fix this now. Even if he invented a name, Danny would not rest until he found out exactly where clone 26 went, and he'd be looking for all subsequent clones from then on.
Vlad always knew that the truth couldn't be kept from Danny forever. He just hadn't expected to be the one to tell him, certainly not this soon.
"Vlad." Danny was now shaking, his eyes clouding with tears. "Who did you deliver clone 26 to?"
Vlad couldn't bring himself to speak just yet. Danny turned back to the screen and clicked around until he found a text box labeled Instructions for clone 25. Vlad watched all the muscles in Danny's body tense and shiver as he read the text: Vocal cords were surgically removed, take care when handling and store in buffered formalin solution. Further special requests from Maddie include—
Danny gasped and stepped back, his hand clawing at his throat. He turned to Vlad, eyes wide with speechless horror.
Vlad looked down at the floor and shook his head.
"Clone 26 has been delivered to your mother," said Vlad.
Danny didn't even breathe in the silence that followed, a silence that sounded strangled, deafeningly mute.
"Cloning you was never my idea," continued Vlad. "Your mother asked me to clone you."
"No." Danny staggered backward a couple steps. "No. You're lying. She wouldn't do that. Why are you lying about this? Tell me the truth, Vlad."
"That is the truth, my boy," said Vlad, keeping a very serious face. "This was all her plan, all her design. I just did whatever she asked of me."
"What are you talking about? What design?" demanded Danny, sounding desperately pathetic.
"Daniel." Vlad gestured toward the lab door. "Perhaps we should go out to my sitting room. I can make us some tea—"
"No." Danny shook his head. "I don't want tea. Tell me here, tell me right now."
"Daniel—"
"I'm not leaving."
Vlad sighed. "Then perhaps you should take a seat in my desk chair there. You really should be sitting down for this."
"Quit stalling," Danny hissed. He leaned over a lab table, gripping the edge. "I don't need to sit. Just tell me what is going on."
Vlad tried to make eye contact, but Danny kept his eyes on the table. He never raised them as Vlad told him everything, about his parents being fully aware that Vlad was also a ghost hybrid, his mother's subsequent desire to create her own half-ghost specimen, how his mother then rigged the portal to give Danny his own ghost powers, how she, Jack, and Vlad were all behind the scenes of every ghost fight, every injury, every sleepless night and skipped class and guilty excuse for every absence and forgotten chore.
Vlad ended by revealing his mother's desire to dissect Danny, how she paid Vlad to clone him over and over so she could conduct the most torturous experiments on him while never actually harming her real son. And now she wanted clones of Danielle for a whole new line of experimentation.
Danny never said a word, never even moved. But Vlad could see him shaking, his tremors getting more and more violent and erratic as the narrative continued. And by the end, Vlad could hear him hyperventilating.
"Daniel?" Vlad spoke very gently now, extending a hand in his direction to calm him down. "Daniel, are you all right?"
Danny stumbled away from the lab table he had been leaning on. He staggered a few steps, his glowing green eyes unfocused with some maddening vision only he could see.
Then he collapsed to the floor on his knees and started screaming.
The sound waves destroyed everything, picking up a ghostly frequency that tore through the machines and computers, an eerie dissonance that flipped over tables, shattered beakers and flasks.
Vlad was thrown into a wall, breaking right through the plasterboard and cracking his leg against a stud. He could feel the frequency piercing his eardrums as Danny's ghostly wail continued.
And for a moment, he was sure he was going to die.
He had felt Danny's ghostly wail before but never like this. Danny's deep agony was almost palpable in this blaring siren of betrayal and despair. The pain sank beneath Vlad's skin and etched into his bones.
And when Danny's wail at last stopped and dissolved into sobs, the lab was completely devastated, including the ghost portal which was sparking uselessly. Vlad weakly lifted his head to look around. Danny was now on his knees in human form, his hands covering his face as he continued crying.
Vlad's head fell back against the floor as he allowed himself to pass out. And when he woke again, Danny was gone.
Vlad moaned as he pushed himself up, crawling through the ruined remains of his lab as he tried to locate his phone. But when he found it, it was shattered and splintered beyond use.
Vlad chortled and tossed the phone aside, lying on his back and staring up at the ceiling. His entire body throbbed with pain.
"Maddie is going to kill me," he muttered before passing out again.

Listen, listen, what if in the middle of the recovery in the hospital Vlad would lack of money and NOT try to steal them, but decided to go "ghost life" (ye, technically he's still halfa but go to his weak human form when he's beaten or needs to have some sleep)? Danny wouldn't know for long time why that ghost is so interested in him and why he can't scent Vlad or his scent is totally different than other ghosts, it would a plot twist of Vlad being halfa, too. I don't think Plasmius would try to seduce Maddie. Revenge from Jack? Yes.
Do you think Vlad would have more ghost friends (like a popular hc of Skulker+Ember+Technus+Spectra+Vlad) or still stay same miserable way?
That's a fascinating alternate universe scenario! Instead of staying in the human world and robbing his way to wealth and power, Vlad flees to the Ghost Zone and tries to eke out an existence there. We already saw in Masters of All Time that his ghost half doesn't suffer (at least not visually) from the effects of the ecto-acne, so maybe it hurt less to be in his ghost form, and that was the impetus for him to flee to the Ghost Zone. It's something to think about.
I honestly don't see Vlad making any actual friends in the human world or the ghost realm. He likes having pawns and minions, people he can use, often ruthlessly*. (See: the townsfolk he overshadowed to vote him in for mayor in Eye for an Eye.) He works with Skulker and employs the vultures and ectopusses to do his dirty work, but he isn't actually friends with them. All he seems to care about is their use to him. He has no desire for friendship or companionship with other people or ghosts who aren't Maddie and/or Danny. And if he can't have what he truly wants, he'll accept no substitutes. It's all or nothing when it comes to Vlad.
*Of course, this could be a defense mechanism; Vlad has been hurt emotionally and physically. He's been traumatized, had his heart broken, he feels betrayed, and perhaps he's afraid to let anyone in now. Deep down, he's so tender, so desperate to love and be loved (see: Maternal Instincts and Kindred Spirits) that he has to guard himself well, otherwise his next heartache might destroy him. He's like a crab: tough exterior but extremely vulnerable on the inside.
I imagine he views ghosts like Ember and Technus and Spectra as incompetent or beneath him. Canon examples: in Torrent of Terror, he only helps free Vortex so he can manipulate him, and when he loses the means of controlling him, he lays on the charm to save his own skin (and then jets, leaving Danny to clean up his dirty work). Same with the Fright Night and Pariah Dark in Reign Storm. He wouldn't deign to actually befriend these ghosts, and he certainly doesn't respect them. To him they're merely obstacles to be overcome, threats to be neutralized. Upon his arrival to the Ghost Zone, I bet he set up a lair somewhere especially hidden and worked on developing his powers until he could easily wallop his competition—and maybe that's how he ended up recruiting Skulker and the vultures, by holding the threat of destruction over their heads.
As for Danny, I'm sure he would be stunned and intrigued to find another ghost hybrid like himself, and if this first meeting were to happen organically in the Ghost Zone, it would put Vlad in a position of power. He could lie to Danny, make up any tragic backstory he wanted, and Danny would have no reason to doubt him; after all, in this universe, Vlad Masters disappeared from the hospital and was never heard from again. Vlad could prey on the boy's curiosity, luring him in with either good or nefarious intentions, and if he played his cards just right, Danny would soon become his first true and loyal friend in 20+ years, and together they could go on to conquer the Ghost Zone.
With a crown on his head and a companion at his side—not to mention the fear and obedience of the inhabitants of the Ghost Zone—Vlad would at last have everything he ever wanted: love, power, and an eternity to enjoy both.

Ghost Puberty
As Danny had gotten to something called Ghost Puberty, from what he understood from Frostbite. FrostBite:"It would have radically changes on his Human and Ghostly bodies. It could be manners, personality and even your Body. I mean look at Plasmius and his changes."
Danny was interested what kind of changes he would get as his power started to fully develop, he just hoped he would not end like Vlad. At least stay with a human look just slightly messier Hair and Longer Fangs, his eyes had the biggest changes as his neon green eyes turned a bright, brilliant human green. And his control over Ice was now much higher the even before, but his skin while the same tone, seemed to be almost translucent in the light. And he had a Aura of pure coldness 🥶 like you have deep winter even in Summer.
Muscles had built up too under his clothes and even as human his skin had become more dense as had gained weight too he is almost 100kg/220 Pounds! Frostbite told him not just his skin had gone more dense but his muscles, organs and bones too. Tucker said it was like he had a weak form of Busoshoku Haki from that anime One Piece.
It was kind of Funny that Dash could not lift him up anymore. And Sam and Tucker told him his natural scent was all musk with a distinctly neutral, watery freshness.
But the ones that truly noticed his changes were Amity Park and the School.
The teacher were saying nothing as Danny started to get A+ in every test. As they noticed he did not even noticed his changes of notes. Lancer told the other teachers, it would be best to not say anything, it looked like he was gone from the start of his puberty and all is getting back to normal.
The School Girls were talking all the new physical and mental thins on him mean He is a VAMPIRE! I mean the Fentons would notice if he was a Ghost after all. And his tiny Fangs mean just that. And the ones that touched him know he was cold to touch
Dash and the other had stoped to Bully, Danny and his friends as they noticed the could barely move him and his touch alone hurted them. Dash had terrible bruises on the place Fenton grabed him, he could barely play Football and he does not want to know what would have happen if Fenton had pressed his arm.
The Fentons were not thinking fully and thought it was just a normal Fenton Puberty, I mean look at Jack he too is huge, So it is no problem that Danny had this growth spurt.
While it was true, Amity Park was still not sure what to think of his fast growth spurt even as he ended being around 6'6”/almost 2m in height as the years were going.
Edit:"Wrong prompt. Was not the crossover.

You wanna know what would be really great. If Vlad’s ghost form suddenly got a redesign to symbolize his change from Glitch in Time.
I thought about this yesterday by coincidence That reminds me of how @mfdragon Good Vlad's AU has Vlad changing his ¨fire core¨ that came from the rage that consumed him for over the years and ,when he lets it go, his core transforms into its true form, which is an electric core and his form changes a bit as result.
I agree with this headcanon. Since ghosts are driven by emotion it would make a lot of sense for Vlad's ghost form to change not that he wants to make amends. I wonder what other intepretations fans have of how Plasmius would like if his form changed after A Glitch in Time

More DP x DC au prompts:
_ Amity's Exception: If you listen to DISTRACTIBLE Podcast featuring Markiplier, Bob and Wade on Spotify or YouTube, then you would have heard the episode with the Aladdin exception. So it's a similar concept, where the only people that can really help amity are either magicians or the non-meta batfamily.
_I'm a monster and I'll make you suffer: Danny is tired, tired of all the hate he gets, from the town he is trying to protect, from the GIW who want to eradicate his species, from his bullies and Vlad, from Sam and Tucker voicing their opinions on ghosts and not letting him think for himself and definitely from his crazed up ghost-hunting parents. One day, a big battle happens between him and another ghost that result in a misunderstanding, that they can both agree it was a mistake, but the fentons show up and start spewing bias nonsense about ghost kind. Sam publicly tries to defend the ghost, but ultimatly is bribed by her parents to confirm the fentons bias. Danny vehemently denies their facts and says he is not a monster, though they firmly believe he is one. Unknowingly, Circe or Klarion is in town and decides to cause some chaos. (Ghost have an funky reaction to magic.)
Circe or Klarion hits Danny with a spell at the same time as the fentons shoots their ghost revealer weapon and the whole town watches as their hero mutates into an eldritch creature. At first Danny screeches in pain as his form shifts, his face melts off to show his now space like skin, four more sets of eyes appear on his face all fully the neon green, his fangs become more pronounce and elongated, he slowly grows another set of arms with claws, a tail, two pairs of wings and a set of horns on his head, all matching his space skin. He is also quite bigger in this form and all his scars are visible. Suddenly the former phantom screeches, paralyzing all around him with fear as he books it out of town. (Sidenote that screech was so powerful, he was able to close the Portal to amity including Masters one in amity as he was the one to introduce ectoplasm to amity park.)
After Eldritch Phantom leaves, only the fentons are really happy before realizing their son is gone, so when Jazz and Danny's friends explain what really happened and where Danny is, they are shocked to discover that they sent their boy away, they decide they are going to find Danny and help him get back to normal before figuring out how to support his new changes. (Not great! Jack and Maddie, but they care for their son.)
Meanwhile, Vlad is searching for Danny with Skulker hoping to manipulate him into joining his side and curing his new form. To his surprise, Danny's new form is too much too handle and is forced to retreat. (Danny is definitely stronger than Vlad, due to the exposure of pure ectoplasm and the size of the portal. Keep in mind, Danny's brain is similar to a wild aggressive animal now, and while Danny struggled as a human ghost, he has no problem curb-stomping Plasmius now.)
Somehow this gets on JL or YJ radar and are forced to confront E! Danny. It's a difficult battle for whoever is fighting him, till the resident feeling reader attempt to read E! Danny's mind. All the team hear is <Pain... Fear... Sorrow... Anger...Betrayal...Too Young to Suffer... Alone... Child..> and that's what clues themselves in on something different about this foe. They are able to calm him down somewhat.
At the same time, the Fentons and Jasmine have clued onto Danny's signature and are approaching him. Danny sees them and starts to freak out more thinking they were here to end him. Jasmine is the only one safe enough to practically be beside eldritch! Danny and he won't panic. The team asks who the fentons are and they reply that they are the boy turned beast's parents. They somehow are able to get E! Danny to the watchtower where the resident magicians are able to craft bracelets that will hide Danny's new true form, while his parents try to figure out how to reverse the effects of their invention on Danny. ( They don't realize magic was involved, so it did not work.)
When Danny is able to speak again, his parents profusely try to apologize for hurting him, but it's a little too late. Danny gives them an ultimatum: Either destroy or move their life's work and focus more on the family, with more scientific proof of their theories or lose both Jasmine and himself forever. It's because Danny explains to them that Jazz and himself shouldn't have been to be the responsible ones in the family at a young age, that Jazz shouldn't have taken the role of Mom to take care of Danny, that they should notice when he comes injured by bullies and not assume it's ghost and listen to them for christ sake. That Danny and Jazz's lives are permanently damaged by literally growing up with unstable and untested chemicals and guns around them.
Route A: They agree to the demands, are forced to attend family counseling with the kids and rework their entire world views.
Route B: They disagree, thinking they know better than their kids. The fentons are sentenced to jail for child endangerment, child abuse, needing mental help among many others and all their asset are frozen and given to their kids.
If Vlad even tries to adopt Danny and Jazz, it will get denied because the JL know who Danny is and he has told them all about Vlad and his methods, the GIW and the Anti-Ecto Acts, so even if Vlad looks in his direction, it's automatic engage on site.

I can't stop thinking about Dark Danny in your Ghost Vision AU.
Imagine, after Danny's ghost separates Vlad and his ghost, Vlad finally sees how people saw his ghost form, but doesn’t understand this, since he always believed that Vlad Plasmius was handsome.
And then he sees what Danny's ghost really looks like, he sees two scary ghosts merge into one. And then Danny sees this ghost. And he also doesn't understand why this ghost is so scary.
I think Dark Danny's true appearance combines the features of Danny Phantom and Vlad Plasmius, but other than that, he has two sets of the Lichtenberg scars on his face, one is green, from Danny Phantom, and the other is red, which he had in the episode during the process of merging Vlad Plasmius and Danny Phantom
I'm loving where your mind is going, that's some quality horror/angst!

Danny Phantom Randomness (Vlad Vs Dracula)
Tumblr media
(Note: This is concept art from an cancelled Don Bluth animated film about Dracula we were robbed of which makes me sad. Just wanted to put that out there even though it’s slightly unrelated to the topic at hand.)
Ok, so I’m sure that collectively as a fandom we all know that Vlad was loosely based off Dracula, aka Vlad The Impaler. And according to the wiki page, “Plasmius is more vampiric than Masters, as this was the producer's original intention, although it was rebuked by Nickelodeon, who considered it too "occult." But again, no matter how much they tried to deny it Danny Phantom IS a show about ghosts, supernatural creatures, and various different popular characters from well-known urban myths and legends. Honestly, I wish there had been more of them besides Pandora and Wulf the werewolf...
Anyways, there’s plenty of fanfics out there that do go the extra mile to make Vlad a vampire who drinks ectoplasm and stuff like that but what if he was actually RELATED to the original vampire by the same name as him and that’s why his ghost form looks the way it does? What if vampires were real too just like ghosts since they technically fit into a similar category as half-ghosts because they’re the undead...?
I just think it would be funny to see Vlad meet Dracula, aka the source of his name-sake, only to be treated like a child by an immortal being that can’t be overshadowed and can pretty much do everything he can but better. Dracula has superhuman strength, teleportation, the power of flight, can possess people (even hypnotize which Vlad can’t do in the show at least since that would make it way too easy to take over Maddie and Danny’s minds), and regeneration to name a few that’s the same as a lot of ghosts. That said, Dracula has the usual weaknesses of any vampire like his powers are weaker during the day, holy water and silver burns him (think of these as Blood Blossom equivalents), and his “obsession” is an unquenchable thirst for blood.
I’d love for this Dracula to specifically be like the Dracula Untold version who was ruthless to ultimately save his family and his people. He loved his wife and son more than anything which would be nice to see as a tie in to Vlad’s feelings for Maddie and Danny. Of course, Dracula would have none of his poor-pitiful-me act and call Vlad a disgrace to their bloodline.
Dracula would encourage Vlad to find his one true love who will only have eyes for him from the bottom of her heart, not pine over someone who has chosen another since he has known a love that transcends death because every century or so Dracula searches for the reincarnation of his beloved. And if she has married another he’ll protect her from afar knowing that she does not always remember him when they meet  again and he basically has to prove his devotion all over again like a 50-First Dates sort of deal otherwise whenever she’s single.
As for Danny, it’d be a similar scolding. Dracula would point out how fighting a child is unbecoming of him, especially if he views this boy as a son. Therefore, Vlad should be helping him, not making his life harder because Danny has already faced more horrific battles than any 14 year old boy should.
"It's not a child's place to defend his country." ~ Dracula Untold
Hopefully something Dracula said will resonate with Vlad because if not, its hard to say if they share the power of immortality too and the old vampire has better things to do with his free time. I dunno, I’m probably rambling but it was a fun idea in my head so I had to share it. Especially since I have drawn Vlad in a costume inspired by the classic vampire along with the Phantom of the Opera which I couldn’t stop thinking about when I discovered that little piece of Don Bluth history above about Dracula getting a redemption arc. And I’m a big fan of redemption arcs for our favorite fruitloop too!

~~~~~~
Jack stared at the mansion as the GAV idled, hesitating with his hand on the key in the ignition. It was the day after he’d learned the truth about Vlad, and now it was time to confront him. Some part of him wondered if he should let Danny know what he was doing, but he was at school. It was time for the adults to talk anyway.
With a sense of finality, Jack turned the key and pulled it out, turning the vehicle off and jumping out of it. He double checked his suit, making sure he had multiple weapons, along with two personal ghost shields. Vlad Masters would be able to get through them, yes, but it would still keep his ecto attacks from hitting or his Plasmius form from getting too close.
Confident he had enough weapons to at least escape to the GAV, Jack held his head high as he marched towards Vlad’s front door. He knocked before he had the chance to second guess himself again.
He didn’t have to wait long before he heard the sound of the lock disengaging and Vlad opened the door, clad in a red robe, his white hair hanging loosely around his face.
“Jack. What a…pleasant…surprise.” Vlad said, schooling his expression into one of mild interest.
“Wish I could say the same,” Jack said as he body checked Vlad out of his way, crossing the threshold and closing the door behind him.
“What the butter puffs, Jack?” Vlad huffed in annoyance.
“You and I are going to have a talk,” Jack said, glaring at Vlad, pulling himself up to his full height.
Vlad at least had the common courtesy to look concerned. “Whatever about, my old friend?”
“Cut the bullshit, Vlad. I know.”
“You know what?” He asked, rolling his eyes.
“I figured it out. You blame me, don’t you?”
“Jack, I’m afraid I don’t -“
“Stop messing with me, Plasmius!” Jack shouted. “I know what you are, I know who you are! But what I don’t understand is why? You reviewed the math, Maddie reviewed the chemical compositions. We all messed up! Yet you blame me? And decide to beat my son bloody because of something that happened before he was even born?”
The faux friendliness fell from Vlad’s face, settling into a scowl. “Jack, stop talking nonsense.”
Jack grunted in frustration and walked past Vlad, to the living room just beyond the foyer.
The other man groaned and began to speak but Jack cut him off.
“Why didn’t you tell me? I get Danny, he was afraid. But you? Why hide it?”
Vlad narrowed his eyes accusingly at Jack. “You never visited. Five years in that hospital and neither of you ever came to see me.”
“We tried!” Jack said, stunned. “We tried for weeks to see you but you were under quarantine. And then you were better but accepting no visitors and then you were discharged and never talked to us. We thought you hated us. We thought you’d forgiven us when you invited us to the reunion."
Vlad’s face twisted in anger. “Forgiven you? You’re even dumber than I thought you were, Jack. You killed me! Your negligence cost me my life! But I made it better, didn’t I? Turned your fuck up into a gift. Created Plasmius, created an empire of wealth for myself. I may have given the ghost a name, but you’re the one who created this!” He shouted and then black rings were around his waist, so similar and yet so strikingly different than Danny’s, and Jack could only watch while his chest ached in shame. “How does it feel to have created not just one monster, but two? Remember when we contemplated the idea of hybridism in college? All the things we could do and learn from a thing like that, before we laughed it off as a joke because how could such a freak of nature ever exist? I’ve been trying to kill you for twenty years, Jack! And now your ridiculous child can’t even keep a secret?”
Jack listened to Vlad’s rant, the heavy blanket of guilt pressing further into him the longer he talked. Plasmius breathed angrily, his red eyes burning into Jack with rage Jack had never known Vlad able to possess.
A canyon of silence stretched between them. Jack fidgeted, running his hand through his hair as he tried to gather his thoughts and break it.
“Danny didn’t tell me. I figured it out - figured out both of you. He doesn’t know I know.”
“Wow, a rare moment of Jack Fenton brilliance,” Plasmius said, mockery and anger dripping from his tone like venom.
“Why am I here?” Jack asked.
“You practically break into my house and you’re asking me why you’re here?” Vlad asked, the shift from fury to bewilderment so instantaneous it was nearly amusing.
“Not here as in your house. Here, in general. Alive. Breathing.” He asked cautiously, wondering how much of the Vlad he had known was left in his friend.
Tumblr media
“Daniel is quite protective,” he growled. “Constantly interferes with my plans and saves everyone. Even for people who’d kill him.”
“He’s also only fifteen. He hasn’t even been de-“ Jack choked on the word “-dead for two years. And I’m only human.” Vlad was silent as he processed Jack’s question, so Jack continued, his voice tired. “You’re one of the richest men in the world. I’m oblivious, but not that oblivious. You could’ve hired someone to murder me and make it look like an accident. But I’m still here.”
Jack felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, crushing him into dust even as Plasmius came for him, hands outstretched. He vaguely remembered the weapons he’d brought with him as Vlad grabbed him by the neck and slammed him against the wall, but he suddenly found he didn’t care to use them, even as he grabbed at Vlad’s wrists and struggled for air.
At least Vlad wasn’t as cold as Danny.
“Maybe I wanted to do it with my own hands,” Vlad hissed, lifting Jack off his feet. Jack clawed at Vlad’s hands, desperate to be let down. “Maybe I needed to make sure you hurt as much as I did, suffer as much as I did! And now you offer yourself up to me on a platter!”
Jack couldn’t speak, becoming lightheaded as Vlad continued to strangle him. Looking into Vlad’s red, pupil-less eyes full of rage and pain, Jack began to wonder if he’d made a mistake, if the friend he’d known really had become someone capable of murder, when doubt and regret crossed Vlad’s face.
“Fuck!” Vlad shouted, releasing Jack from his grip. Jack fell to the floor two feet beneath him, collapsed onto his hands and knees as he breathed in the beautiful, cool air around him. “Fuck!” He repeated, blasting some of the furniture around them into pieces with his pink ecto rays. Plasmius floated down to the floor, and Jack wasn't sure if the tears forming in the ghost’s eyes were from anger or grief.
“Damn you, Jack Fenton,” Vlad hissed. “You and your perfect life, with the woman I love and the kids I always wanted! Why do you get everything? Why do you get to be happier than me? Why can’t I kill you?”
“‘Perfect life?’” Jack asked, his voice still a little breathless as he pushed himself to his feet. “You think my life is perfect? You can have it! Along with every mistake I’ve ever made! I killed you, my best friend! I killed my son. I’ve hunted him, hurt him! I only know now because I found a goodbye video he filmed in case I killed him again! I’ve pushed my daughter away. I’m terrified my wife is going to try to kill our son!”
Tears fell as all the pain he’d masked since the video tumbled out, finally able to let out everything he’d kept within. “Do you want your son’s blood on your hands? Do you want to remember all the dreams you had of torturing him? Do you want to know he spent almost two years afraid you wouldn’t love him enough to not dissect him?”
The room began to blur as tears clouded his vision, as he cried so hard his chest burned. “Do you want to learn that someone else did do that to him? And he still feared you too much to come for help, that he stitched up his own vivisection wound? Because if you want all of that, you can have it! All the guilt, all the pain, all the things I’ve broken. Do you still want my perfect life? Because I don’t!”
The two men looked at each other as Jack finished his breakdown, before a bitter laugh escaped Vlad. “Ironic. Of the two of us, I’m the one who wants to kill, yet you’re the one with blood on your hands.”
All the energy Jack had previously had vanished, and he sagged against the same wall he’d been pinned to. “I have to live with my mistakes. So believe me when I say living is worse, when I have to face my mistakes every day. Maybe that’ll make you feel better, Vlad.”
“Hmph,” Vlad said, black rings sweeping across him again, turning him back to Masters. “That does bring me some happiness.”
“Wonderful,” Jack said dryly, looking around at the mess - and lack of intact furniture. He sighed, sliding to the floor, exhausted after letting out all the shame he’d buried so deep.
Awkward silence settled between the two.
“I’m sorry, Vlad.”
~~~~~~
Danny yawned as his friends bickered, poking at the food in front of him. It was nice, to be back here with them. It’d been a few days since they’d found out - he’d told them on Monday afternoon and it was now Friday - and his fear had largely faded away. He’d been so worried they’d be okay with it and then realize that he was a freak, a monster, and grow afraid of him, that they’d out him to the town and the government. But they’d accepted him back with open arms, even insisting on joining him on patrol (once he showed them how to use a blaster and told them in no uncertain terms that if it got too dangerous, they needed to run).
He felt Tucker elbow him gently. “Yo, you good? You’re playing with your food instead of eating again.” Tucker asked.
“You’ve been doing that a lot. Do you just… not eat as much anymore?” Sam added, dropping her voice at the end.
The urge to lie bubbled up against his lips, but he forced it down. He kept having to remind himself that he didn’t need to lie anymore, not to these two. “Not recently,” he admitted. “I’ve been losing my appetite the past three or four weeks. It had actually increased for a long time after the accident, but now I’m just not hungry.”
Sam pursed her lips thoughtfully. “So around the time your dad started helping you?”
Danny paused as he thought back, though he also felt an odd stirring in his core. Sam and Tucker had listened to every story he told with rapt attention and it made him feel… loved?… that Sam had remembered a detail that small. “Uh, yeah, actually you’re right. Weird. I wonder if it’s related, but how would it be?”
“Okay, don’t freak out,” Sam said and Danny was struck by how unhelpful that sentence was as his initial reaction was to freak out. “I have an idea.”
Danny glanced at Tucker to see if he had any clue what Sam was talking about, but he just shrugged. He didn’t miss the way Tucker’s eyes lingered on him a little longer than necessary before Tucker returned his attention to Sam. This wasn't the first time he had noticed those glances and everytime he did, he had to bury the fear it was Tucker doubting him. He couldn’t explain how he knew that wasn’t it, but somehow he just… knew. Besides, he didn’t… entirely mind them.
“So, you know how some ghosts can sense and feed off emotions?” Sam asked, leaning forward to whisper.
“Uh, yeah?” Danny said with a frown, Spectra coming to mind. He’d told them about his encounters with her, but that was the only feeder ghost he knew of.
“Well, I’ve been doing some reading,” Sam said, patting at her backpack, “and it looks like that’s a common trait. Let me ask - has your appetite dropped even more since telling Tucker and me about you?”
Tucker took a deep breath at Danny’s side, while Danny forgot how to breathe, both realizing what she was saying at the same time. Danny’s eyes widened as he realized Sam was right. He did have another dip in appetite after Sam and Tucker had re-entered his life.
“I’m gonna take that as a yes,” she said, pulling a book - A Goth’s Guide to Ghosts: The Symbiotic Relationship of the Dying and the Dead - out and flipping through it, looking for a specific page. She set the book down, turning it so he and Tucker could read it, pointing at the title of the chapter.
“Emotions and their Nutritional Value?” Tucker read aloud.
Sam nodded, then pointed to a passage further down. “Look here.”
Danny pulled the book closer to him. “‘While most ghosts feed on the negative emotions of people - one of the reasons why ghosts like to hang around the standard goth - some have been theorized to find more sustenance on the emotions of the happy. Therefore, when first attempting to contact your ghostly suitor, it is imperative to ensure the ghost can get appropriate energy from you and your emotions.’”
“Is this a book about keeping ghosts as pets?” Tucker asked, eyes continuing to scan the page.
Danny felt like cement had been poured down his throat. He couldn’t eat human emotions. He couldn’t.
“Honestly, I don’t know, some parts read like the ghost is the pet and others like the human is,” Sam shrugged. “But it has some good information, and that wasn’t the point I was making.”
“You think Danny can eat our emotions?” Tucker said, brows furrowed in confusion.
Danny could barely hear the conversation over his heart thudding against his rib cage, the sound of whooshing blood loud in his ears. He was human. Human. Sure, he’d come to terms with being half ghost (and therefore half dead), but he still felt more human than ghost. If he could eat emotions and not need real food, was he becoming more ghostly?
Was his ghost half overpowering his human half?
“I think so,” Sam confirmed, her voice sounding so far away. "His dad and the two of us? I think he’s sensing, I don’t know… companionship? Safety?”
“Love?” Tucker questioned. Sam nodded, opening her mouth to say something else, but Tucker had realized Danny’s silence wasn’t thoughtfulness - it was panic. “Danny?” he said, shaking Danny’s shoulder gently.
“I can’t,” Danny said hoarsely, shaking his head, refusing to accept it even if he knew it was true.
“Danny, it’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with it.” Tucker said gently.
“You aren’t hurting us. The book talks about how it isn’t harmful to humans. We didn't even notice it was happening until now. Spectra sought pain and depression, that’s why she was dangerous.” Sam agreed, reaching across the table and patting the back of one of Danny’s hands.
“How can you be okay with this?” Danny choked out. “You guys, my dad. I’m a freak of nature and you all act like it’s fine. I don’t understand.”
“We’re your friends and your dad’s, well, your dad. It’s fine because it’s you,” Sam said.
“So no more moping about being weird, ‘cuz everyone at this table is a freak,” Tucker added with a laugh and pulled a reluctant smile from Danny. “You’re our friend and we’re not going anywhere. Besides!” Tucker continued, pulling Danny’s plate of spaghetti from in front of him. “Now I get more free food!”
The smile felt weird on his face as he glanced between his two friends. “You’re sure? You still… want to be around me?” He asked. Even though they’d said so many times, he still struggled to believe it.
“You’re the one who can eat our emotions,” Tucker said as if it was the most normal thing in the world. “Are we lying?”
“Or are we just happy to be around you?” Sam added.
Danny hesitated, then closed his eyes and focused on… something. Something within him - like his core but not. There, he could feel it, feel them. Joy, respect, loyalty floated within him, though they were definitely not his own emotions. Shockingly, though, love - romantic love - was one of the brightest and strongest he sensed. He couldn’t tell how he knew, but when he opened his eyes and stared at Tucker in shock, he knew it was Tucker the love was coming from, even before Tucker gave him a shy smile.
Well. That explained the lingering glances recently.
“You’re telling the truth.” Danny said, smiling at Tucker before he turned to look at Sam. That was a conversation for just the two of them, for when they were alone.
“Told you so,” Tucker and Sam said at the same time, pulling a genuine laugh from him.
Two months ago, Danny had been convinced he’d spend the rest of his life suffering alone, especially after his time with the Guys in White (a story he hadn’t told Sam and Tucker and never planned to).
For so long, Danny had accepted his existence was to suffer, to be bled and broken and bruised over and over, to serve his penance for opening the portal, alone and in agony until he died again. He’d accepted his friends’ hatred, his family’s disdain for one half of him and their disappointment in the other. He’d decided that while his life wasn’t worth fighting for, everyone else’s was, no one else deserved to die for his mistake.
But as he nonchalantly placed his hand on the bench near Tucker’s and their fingers entwined, as Sam changed topics as though this entire conversation hadn’t been impossible, as he remembered everything his father had done for him… he decided that, maybe, just maybe, he was worth fighting for, too.

Little DP x TFP fic I’ve been thinking about
Unicron wasn’t sure what he was expecting of his creations. He watched his eldest, the first thing on the wretched little world that had formed around him that was truely by his hand.
Plasmius, a human not dead but not alive he had seen the opportunity in the portal opening and took it to reforge this pathetic animal into his own warrior not unlike his brother had when creating his Primes. His first creation’s power grew slowly as he mastered each new skill as it was presented and Unicron slowly whispered instructions into his ear but as he watched him, Unicron could not help but see the flaws, how Plasmius never seemed to grow in his desires beyond wealth and an old grudge over some human femme he had wished to mate with. No matter the fire he placed within, the nova core where his soul had been, the fangs he gave him to rip out the throats of his enemies or the killer instinct he had watched hone it was always the same. To watch him stagnant disgusted Unicron. So much so he abandoned his creation to his own devices after a time of watching him become nothing of note in his eyes.
His second creation was younger than the first when Unicron chosen him. He had considered what had gone wrong with Plasmius and was intent to learn with his second creation, no longer glowing bright with a fire’s power, nor did he give his second creation a chance to adapt to new abilities. He had been too slow with Plasmius, Unicron had decided and it had led to the stagnation he so loathed to see in something he gave so much fire to. He letter the powers come in quickly one after another but did not show him the true vacuum of space, the absolute zero he had locked away in his core this was something he had to find on his own. And the phantom did not disappoint him in his mastery of his abilities, he fought fiercely and without hesitation for the town he had claimed as his own domain, of this Unicron was very proud. He had heard the whispers of the dead and restless spirits that so often visited his world speaking how his phantom was stronger than even their own king. He was Proud, until he realized that his Phantom had bested the king, and lead an army to siege the castle only to let the power slip through his fingers, that he had no interest in ruling over the dead or living. He only wished to protect he felt disgusted at the thought. And in that moment suddenly everything about his phantom was a reminder of of thing he hated, someone he hated Primus.
Everything his youngest did after besting Pariah Dark reminded him of Primus, and how he loathed his brother still.
And to make matters worse Plasmius and Phantom took it along themselves to be in constant conflict. Where phantom was cold as the vacuum of space, Plasmius burned with the heart of a supernova; where Plasmius was careful and cunning, Phantom was quick and brash; where phantom would do everything he could to protect those around him despite knowing they would not do the same, Plasmius at the very least was enough like him to be able to see the humans around him for what they truly were, tools to achieve his ends. He realized he had not craved away enough of the humanity with Phantom, so intent on making every change happen quickly that had left pieces of the soul behind, something that had ruined his phantom from the very beginning and only now looking at the barest shreds of a souls still left within it was steadfast and stead enough to withstand the coldness of space itself. unfortunate.
In the end his creations both disappointed him as he was forced to watch them battle one another not unlike himself and his brother. Equally and oppositely matched and doomed to go in forever unless something changed. The heat of supernova and empty coldness of space given bodies to battle again and again and again.
He had nothing better to do in his half sleep state as he lay beneath the earth unable to move and needing rifts between the worlds of the living and the dead to harness even a fraction of his power to make his creations. So he watched them. He watched them make every last mistake he and Primus did while they fought one another and he watched them do it so many times. Until the inevitable happened.
Plasmius created a being to help him like a bad parody of Megatronus in Unicron’s eyes the like femme was the splitting image of Phantom but she was nothing like him.
She was nothing like space, but she was every thing like the sea this world’s seas. She was cold like the depths at times, lightless and suffocating and crushing with hardly any life along the bottoms of the deepest trenches or she was boiling hot like the volcanic vents, Rock solid like a glacier, but also as free flowing as the current.
She was odd compared to everything else on this planet. She did not die and yet she was not alive. She was not of humanity nor of the spirits. A child of no world. He was done watching what had come from his hand, he had seen more than enough but this little creature that was always changing, and who’s power was anyone’s to guess.
He would keep an eye on her.

Never Poke My Child
[Danny wants peace from Vlad's childish games and their fights.
Clockwork cannot always be there to save the day but he will do anything for Daniel and knows just a thing to make Vladimir stop his chase after Ghost child.
Walker owns him after all]
                              _______________________________
"Why that fruitloop…" Danny grits his teeth getting Ecto blast by Vlad Plasmius a.k.a Vlad Masters whose first Half Ghost and human just like him.
 "Have you changed your mind, little badger?" Plasmius asks, floating above him. "You know I hate doing this to you"
 "You know my answer will always be 'NO' to you" Danny replied, getting up from the ground and rubbing his shoulder where Vlad shot him. "Why are you so obsessed with me anyway? I thought you were after my mum? Even though I am glad you are no longer after her"
 "As much as I love Maddie, which I still do! You are my top priority…"
 "Great, I feel special"
 Plasmius landed on the ground and grinned. "Does that mean you will be my son?"
 Danny hums fake thinking and taps his foot. "Hm…how about…NOOO!!!" He shouts, scaring the shit out of the older ghost and blowing him away using a Ghostly wail.
 They were fighting outside the Casper High school building, it was weird how no one had noticed them yet except Sam and Tucker who watched their fight and worried for their friend.
 "We have to do something!"
 "What can we do? If it was technology I would have been hacked and I can't call Police to help us, can we?"
 Sam's eyes wide and look at Tucker. "That's it! Call Clockwork now!"
 Tucker immediately pulls out his phone and calls Master of time.
 The phone was specifically made by Technus that can help make a call in the Ghost Zone and the Human world with ease.
 Danny and Sam find out Tucker was friends with Technus because of their shared love for Technology.
 It didn't surprise them because Tucker never leaves his PDA like it's his baby and always plays with it.
 "The number you try to reach is out of reach, please don't try later because I don't have time for the boy scouts, Good day" The call cut off before Tucker would speak and look at Sam with a dumbfounded expression.
 "What did he say?"
 "He…said hi?"
 "Huh?"
                                      _________________________
 ‘Honestly, what do they think I am? Knight in shining armor?’ Clockwork thought as he watched the mirror where Daniel and Vladimir were fighting with each other.
 He cannot always interfere and saves the day.
 Although he can bend rules and teach Vladimir a lesson that he will never forget.
 Yes, maybe he should.
Nonetheless, he stays there and watches over the time stream. His time hasn’t come yet and he is always on time.
Clockwork adult form changes to child form and Old form. Ah, he sometimes can’t control his forms.
 “Now…How should I approach this?” He mumbled to himself. “So many choices…”
                                     _______________________
 It has been 5 weeks since Danny fought with Vlad, He just hopes Vlad doesn’t decide to pop out of nowhere and attacks him again. His surprise visit always leaves him in buries and annoyance.
 Currently, the group is visiting Nasty Burger after their Ghost hunt and avoiding Dash’s group who wants to bully Danny because it’s his fault he got a ‘C’ on his history test.
“I don’t even understand how that is my fault! I didn’t overshadow him and make him fail the test!” Danny says in frustration and anger.
“Did you?” Tucker and Sam ask at the same time looking at him.
“No! Why would I? I have a lot of work on my plate and fighting with ghosts…Plus ever since the Pointdexter accident I decided to never bully again…I almost became Dash in a way…” Danny replied.
 “You learn the lesson”
 “True, in a hard way…”
“Cheer up, Danny! One large meat in buns will clear all your troubles away! In fact, why don’t you come to my house? Mum will be making steak tonight”
Before Danny would say a word, his ghost sense went off, and groaned. “Great…Trouble”
 All three look up at the sky where they see none other than Vlad in his Ghost form Plasmius flying and ready to fight.
 Danny looks around to see no one and glares at the Halfa Ghost. “Don’t make me sue you, fruit loop! Attacking a minor and stalker is illegal!”
 “It’s the Father’s job to look out for his children”
 “NOT YOUR CHILD!!”
 Plasmins shrugs. “Deny as much as you want”
 Danny throws his bag at Tucker and takes a stance. “I am going Ghost!”
 Plasmins smirks seeing the transformation and raises his hand ready to blast him. After Transformation Danny Fenton turns into Danny Phantom, he flies toward him in speed and dodges the Ecto-Blast then slams himself into Plasmins.
 “I AM GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT, FRUIT LOOP!!”
 “TRY IT, LITTLE BADGER!!”
 “Gosh, they do fight like a father and son duo” Tucker commented dumbfounded.
 “Don’t let Vlad hear you saying this…” Sam says already feeling tired and watching the fight. “I don’t get it…Why is he so obsessed with Danny? Why not go after his mother?”
 Tucker funnily looked at her. “Do you want him to?”
 Sam made a sick face and shook her head. “Nope”
 Suddenly a portal opens, and Clockwork flies out of it in his child form and looks at the fight with an unreadable expression.
 “Hey, it’s Clockwork!” Tucker exclaims in surprise and is startled.
 Clockwork changes to his adult form and looks at the two children with a calm smile. “Hello Samantha and Tucker”
 “Here to stop the fight?”
 “In a way, yes”
 “Dude, why did you ignore my call the first time?”
 “I was busy” Clockwork lied easily. “Besides it isn’t my time”
Sam frowned. “What do you mean?”
They heard Danny scream and land on the ground beside them. Danny sat up and rubs his head. “A little help would be nice guys…” Danny says rubbing his head and his ghost senses went off. His eyes widen and see Clockwork floating on his side. Danny gets up and looks alert. “What are you doing here? Did something happen? Did Dan escape? Is there Timeline about to get destroyed because of me again!?”
Clockwork put his hand on his shoulder and shook his head. “I am here to give Vladimir a taste of his own medicine”
“Huh?” Danny looks confused. “What do you mean?”
“Give up already, little badger? I just-“ Plasminus froze seeing Clockwork and frowns. “What are you doing here?”
Clockwork adult form changes to old form and grins. “Duck”
Plasminus looked confused by that and yelped, getting hit from behind. Danny, Sam, and Tucker’s jaws drop seeing the attacker was none other than Walker himself along with some guards.
“Vlad Plasminus, you are under arrest!” Walker says proudly and arm crossed behind his back.
“For what?” Plasminus asks after he composes himself and looks at Wadern with a deadpan. “I didn’t do any crime!”
Walker pulls out a rule book and opens it. “Section -0991 Crime 69 ‘Assault the underage minor’ The sentence…” He shut the book and pointed his finger at him. “10,000 YEARS!!!!”
“WHAT!?!?”
Danny unconsciously turns back to his human form and looks at Clockwork. “Oh my god…you sue him for me? To Walker!?”
“I had a much more fitting lesson for him…But I found this situation very amusing besides Wadern owns me” Clockwork says grinning madly. “Now he won’t bother you for a while”
 “Oh yeah…He can’t get out of Ghost Jail” Tucker said, finding this amusing as well.
“If he was in Human jail he could have gotten out easily but how will he get out of Ghost Jail…” Sam laughs. “Money won’t save him from Walker himself!”
Danny couldn’t hold himself back and hugged Clockwork. “THANK YOU!!!”
Clockwork hugs him back. “No one can touch you while I am around, Daniel”
“W-WAIT! THIS IS A MISTAKE! I AM NOT-“
“GET HIM, BOYS! DON’T LET HIM ESCAPE!”
“STOP IN THE NAME OF LAW!!”
Plasmins flies out of there like a rocket and Walker follows after him along with the squad while Danny, Clockwork, Sam, and Tucker laugh at Vlad’s dismay.

Lost on Tumblr.com
(this one takes place in a ten years later AU where they become world renowned ghost hunters, @sobredunia you got the goods AU wise, hope you don't mind thats its basically a shit post in writing form)
Did the trio have any social media accounts anymore after becoming world renowned?
Absolutely.
Did anyone find their social media accounts?
Never.
Cause they hid on Tumblr.com.
Yes, it's true, they're stupid enough to head to Tumblr.com.
But who can blame them, its amazing there.
Virtually zero harassment, great community, horny fucktards are easy to filter out, nice people and the lack of wordcount limit is also helpful as well for Sam.
No one can even tell that they're the trio, well, actually, thats a lie.
Dannys the fool who made two blogs, one where he's way to open about being Phantom (no one believes him) and another just for trans related stuff.
Tucker and Sam decided to be a bit smarter than Danny.
Sam has a blog that supplies top tier shitposts and memes, and occasionally mixes in a few angsty fanarts and fanfics for whatever she loves at the moment, its great cause no one can predict whats next, she even gets gut wrenching all caps tags in reblogs.
Tucker... Tucker is Tucker, he's taking pictures of the best, most humorous and most graphically atrocious license plates in Amity Park, he has at least five on his blog with 69, and he even has The Wisconsin Ghosts license plate as well.
The only problem with hiding out on Tumblr.com is that its where they entrapped Technus, so they have to keep an eye on him as well, but he's brushed off as a bot shockingly enough by the common folk of Tumblr.com.
The facts don't change.
They chose to use Tumblr.com and if Vlad Plasmius buys out Twitter, then all the fans and harassers from Twitter.com will be forced to migrate.
They an only pray to the ancients that doesn't happen.
