Poltergeist Riley

The term “poltergeist” in this story mostly refers to spirits that have been consumed by their negative emotions, and their forms have become warped from the stress, leading them to look monstrous. The way a poltergeist looks varies between each spirit, but in some way the design references their death. And if a spirit enters this form too often, they can get stuck like that, so far gone that there isn’t anything that can be done for them anymore. Poltergeists are far stronger than common spirits. And lastly, poltergeists behaviors are shaped around the negative emotion manipulating the spirit.

With Riley, their poltergeist form is more like liquid, as they drowned. The main controlling emotion for them is their depression and their loneliness. So as a poltergeist, they tend to cling to the living, and unintentionally ends up sucking them dry

Drugs that were given to your ancestors to keep them inebriated, inoculated, enslaved. Drugs that stripped them of their ability to not just be free, but to imagine a.world in which they were free. So,.why is one person's purpose greater than another's? Why are some people struck down while others live? Why are you, Rue Bennett, sitting here when other 17-year-olds, 17-year-olds who are better, who are kinder, who are more respectful than you, aren't sitting here, I don't know. That's the mystery. But here we are. So what now?

Ghost Gang plot

The story starts with Anabelle moving into an old house with her family. She spends the whole time whining about how she never wanted to move and struggles to fit into the neighborhood. Her parents tell her to try to make some friends. She begrudgingly heads outside and she ends up overhearing some kids talking about the house she’s moved into. They’re whispering about how someone has moved into “that” house, and are talking about the supposed hauntings. Anabelle becomes curious about the house now, wondering if it actually is haunted. After some investigation, she finally meets the ghost in her house. It’s a young spirit that goes by the name Riley. The two become fast friends, and Anabelle is all too excited about having a friend with ghost powers. And of course she uses this power for evil, and has fun messing with the town residents. Unfortunately the fun is short lived when a grim reaper shows up at Anabelle’s doorstep (who she’s dubbed “Grim”). It seems he’s come to spoil her fun. This begins Anabelle and Grim’s back-and-forths with each other about her and Riley’s friendship. Throughout the rest of the story, Anabelle and her friends have to deal with various ghosts and figure out how to help them move on. Unfortunately, not all is as it seems as a dangerous spirit begins to awaken in the background.

Chad is immediately taken with a lovely widow trying to start a new life with her father and young son. He even goes so far as to risk his position with the rangers to make sure her father is able to stake his claim.
