Circa 1831 fashion plate, V&A collection.

His waist is nearly as small as hers; his hands almost as delicate. Her riding costume has the traditional masculine elements like a stock and buttoned shirt, the veil on her top hat is for protection from the sun and for keeping debris off her face. (The skirt is extra long to provide coverage while riding, 1830s and 1820s hemlines are typically above the ankle).

People talk about male and female silhouettes of the 19th century mirroring each other, but it's mostly a thing in the Romantic Era of the 1820s and 1830s.
