The egg war event happened, each team fighting to protect an egg statue with combined accessories that matched according to the groups the eggs were already in:

Blue: Chayanne, Leo

Red: Ramon, Dapper, Tallulah

Green: Richas, Pomme

You see what’s wrong here?

Richas and Pomme were matched with the Savannah, Red’s biome. Green fought for them instead.

Ramon, Dapper & Tallulah were matched with Green’s biome, the Jungle. Red fought for them instead.

All the other teams’ eggs swapped… except Chayanne and Leo stayed matched with the Snow, Blue’s biome. Blue was the only one that stayed the same?

Dapper’s hat in the maze upon activation of Protocol AB, Dapper sending a message to his dad, who is on Blue team, insisting that he needs to win… Blue’s egg statue remaining unchanged despite the others switching- Blue is the outlier in every single situation.

Everybody’s always talking about the biblical imagery in Goncharov but I haven’t seen anybody talk about the allusions to Greek mythology like !!! Goncharov looking at Katya through the mirror when she threatens to shoot him, not making direct eye contact - Perseus and Medusa’ poisonous vision. When Sofia is leading Katya in the tunnels, not looking as they talk, but she turns around and Katya is gone - Orpheus turns and Eurydice vanishes. That unnamed taxi driver is paid two coins by Goncharov right before That Scene - he’s literally Charon, transporting the ‘dead’. Guys the whole boat scene is an allusion to the River Styx. The theme of time and the human hubris to defy it and the seemingly divine punishment of that ambition. Tell me I’m not the only one seeing this.

I’m convinced that Chev and Mitsunari would be besties.

I almost wanted to be like “that’s the entire post”, but nah I’ll elaborate.

Mitsunari is immune to harsh words discouraging interactions. Maybe this would irritate Chev at first, but it’s a necessary first step for their friendship.

They are both brilliant, and any discussions they’d have on strategies and/or sharing of worldly knowledge would be well received on both ends.

They both love reading and are happiest when doing so in a calm, quiet environment. Chev mentions in the bond screen that MC should read practical books now and then, and hoo boy, does Mitsunari have him covered. They could vibe silently in Chev’s library for hours.

Mitsunari is a pretty great fighter, too, which I’m sure Chev would appreciate.

I think they would have great conversations together as they both are more practical than emotional. So… they’d be more comfortable? I guess? They wouldn’t worry so much about stepping on each other’s toes.

Ah, and Chev would be able to read that Mitsunari is a good, pure person which would alleviate any stress from lack of trust.

Some things I like to read in fanfiction because @grey-sides put up a post and I was like, “yes. Yes to all of this”

I like when Steve is maybe getting a little too flirty, or he’s in over his head with Billy but he’s not ready to admit that to himself. To himself he has a million justifications. Licking the dramatic irony off the plate like a heathen.

I like when Billy makes connections to the party besides Max and El. Maybe he shows Lucas some basketball stuff, or offers an olive branch to Will. I have a soft spot for him connecting with Mike, who is probably the most difficult of the party. Billy knows about being difficult.

I like when someone adds texture to Billy’s home life. Like yes, it’s sad, but what else does it feel like. What does it feel like when Billy and Susan are alone together on a Friday afternoon? Where does Billy carve out a tiny amount of safety? I love when someone hits you with that gut punch over something so small, like the sound of a key in a lock.

I love when Billy and Steve’s dialogue starts clicking up and it hits you that they are the only ones who get each other. They’ve both been on top in the same way, they get each other the way maybe no one else can. Everyone distinguishes themselves around Steve that they’re “not” like him. That they’re smarter or better or kinder. Even Steve’s best friend. And here’s this guy who wanted to be like him, knew what it was like to be king of the party, lived that life. That Billy sees Steve as an equal.

I love when they touch for the first time, it’s always a MOMENT, capital M, with trembling feelings. Or when they watch the other person touch themselves, brush their hair back or whatever. One thing the harringrove fandom nails is that these are two guys who are so aware of themselves and how they present, and how aware they are of each other. It’s not mental, it’s physical and it’s so great.
