HYDRATION ;
you need to be hydrating properly. hydration not only is rly good for ur skin (keeps it plump and glowy) but its also good for ur overall body health in general (cleans out ur body). so drink lots and lots of water. plus walking around with a cute water bottle is actually such an adorable accessory and lowkey a look...
SLEEP + SKINCARE ;
sleep 8-10 hours a day and if ur feeling extra princessy sleep for 12 hours or take naps throughout the day bcuz beauty sleep is real!! and for skincare i rly rly recommend korean skincare. and ofc keep skincare SIMPLE and be consistent. plus when u dont sleep ur skin will look dull.
and a hot tip...from me to you, in the morning as soon as u wake up have a glass of lukewarm water and before bed drink a cup of spearmint/peppermint tea. also another good drink for skincare is chlorophyll. i drink a 16oz of chlorophyll a day or sometimes i'll just have a little chlorophyll shot and its good for ur skin.
MOISTURE ;
when u get out of the shower apply lotion onto slightly damp skin, not completely dry skin. also if u have, use a body oil before the body lotion. i like to use body butter (i use the coco-shea butter and it makes me glow like no OTHER) additionally we wanna protect our skin from the sun so make sure to use sunscreen on ur face and body every single day.

RADIATE ;
your most glowy and radiant when u have a smile on ur face. nothing radiates like a genuine smile. when ur energy is radiant, then you'll radiate so make sure to do things that make you happy. prioritize ur healing and ur self and you'll GLOWW.
SHIMMER ;
you can create a shimmer effect on urself by using body glitter on key points like ur collarbones. use highlighter on ur nose too <3 we shimmer not only with glitter but also jewelry. invest in cute accessorizes like bracelets, nail gems, rings etc.
SHINE ;
lets talk about ur inner health cuz that plays a huge role in looking glowy and like a goddess. take ur vitamins/supplements. i recommend collagen for hair skin and nails and other vitamins like vitamin C and E. take ur wellness shots and dont eat garbage.

ana tips to stay as safe and healthy as possible <3
**important to note that I’m not encouraging this behavior in any way but if you’re going to persue unhealthy wl then harm reduction is important**
1) take multivitamins EVERYDAY and stay hydrated
2) if you’re down with the flu or any other sickness please increase your cal intake to aid in the recovery process
3) if you notice negative side effects like hair loss, excessive bruising, joint pain, etc take more vitamins i.e. hair, skin, and nails, joint vitamins, iron supplements
4) if you’re feeling faint/dizzy/nauseous constantly please eat something and maybe consider raising your cal intake for at least a few days
5) avoid hot temperatures, hot showers, working out, etc if you think you may faint to avoid any injuries, embarrassment, etc
6) don’t stay at a super low cal intake for extended periods of time (under 500 cals)
7) if you’re fasting and start to experience heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, spotted vision break your fast immediately it’s not worth it
8) never NEVER dry fast!!!!!
9) avoid excessive caffeine intake it can cause headaches, nausea, heart palpitations, etc and it doesn’t curb your appetite enough to risk that
10) if you’re feeling dehydrated but feel like you cant drink more water try a hydration multiplier like liquid iv
11) make sure you’re using your cals for healthy choices at least try to eat a fruit or vegetable once a day
12) make sure you’re getting enough protein it will aid in wl while also keeping you healthy
13) don’t excessively purge or avoid it all together the health problems it causes are nothing to play around with
14) don’t abuse laxatives it fucks up your stomach badddd
15) don’t push yourself too hard the goal is to lose weight not death 😘

retinol, every night. start with a gentle one. I find the resurfacing retinol from Cerave very good. been using for 2 months and I never wear foundation anymore.
SPF, EVERYDAY, EVEN WHEN YOU'RE NOT LEAVING THE HOUSE.
cut out carbs and fried foods and sugar.
protein dense diet.
drink lots of water and try to reduce alcohol consumption.
talk daily walks, for an hour or more.
take Vitamin D supplements and Magnesium.

🤍 Jia starts her mornings drinking a cup of water or coffee on an empty stomach, this can help to boost your metabolism and detox your body. I would recommend to drink water rather than coffee, since this could have some negative side effects.
Next step is to say some affirmations in front of the mirror, saying affirmations like 'I look so pretty today' or 'my skin looks so healthy' or simply being kinder to ourselves can ease stress, allow us to face difficulty more courageously, and feel more content and confident!
Now it's time for skincare, Jia emphasizes on having a healthy skincare, for this you will need to create a routine based on your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, normal or acne prone) and your skin concerns (black heads, bumps, irritation, scars, etc.), please make sure to consult a professional before using anything on your face! Now Jia usually cleanses her face with a foam cleanser and then use toner, a moisturizing ampule, moisturizer and sunscreen! She makes sure to apply the products on her neck too.
After skincare it's time to get dressed, while we wait for the products to absorb! Jia is a really fashionable girl, make sure to have fun with the textures, shapes and color combinations to make the best outfit and boost it using accessories like hats or sunglasses, don't forget to get a matching bag and shoes too!

🦢 Jia recommends to work out at least for 20 minutes per day! She usually does simple waist or legs exercises while standing up looking at her phone or watching TV.
Also she goes to Pilates classes so you can try to do a 20 minute Pilates workout video like this one.

🩰 To boost your self-esteem Jia says that we have to at least take 2 days of the week (Saturday and Sunday) on really taking care and spend time with ourselves.
First detangle your hair using a hairbrush, then hop on the shower and use shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask to treat your hair. Then wash your body using a shower gel and a body scrub. Jia uses a soothing gel, thermal water and a body lotion to moisturize her body after shower, she massages the products on her skin to relax her muscles. After 30 minutes, she dries her hair with cold air. After, you can trim your split ends or take care of your nails if necessary.
As a part of self-care, do chores like doing laundry or washing the dishes so you can start relaxing on a tidy place (you can also light an scented candle). Also, Jia takes her vitamins for her hair and overall health.
Now it's time to enjoy our hobbies! Having hobbies help us with both our physical and mental health, plus having our alone time makes us more comfortable with ourselves and help with self -discovery, Jia haves a good set of hobbies that she spends most of her time doing like oil painting, doing DIYs, watching dramas like insider, taking care of her dogs, cooking and baking, playing video games and golf!

🌷 Finally, Jia spends her night taking care of her skin! First she washes her hands, the uses a cleansing oil or milk, then she uses makeup remover on her eyes if the cleanser didn't take off her eyeliner for example, then she uses a foam cleanser and toner to finish cleanse her skin. After she uses a hydrating mist and ampule, a dermatologic treatment, sheet mask, lip balm and moisturizer (remember to apply it on the neck too!) after she uses a gua sha to massage her face.
as a part of skincare, make sure to sleep at least 8 hours everyday and drink enough water to wake up with perfect skin!

Starting off with some miscellaneous advice: Coconut oil is the most versatile ingredient – for your hair, skin, nails, and even down there. Find your signature scent (apply it to your clothes instead of your skin whenever possible). Sugar scrubs are the answer to most flakiness or bumps on your skin. B vitamins, vitamin D, and omega-3s are essential to healthy hair, skin, and nails.

Hair:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe.
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage.
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist).
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag.
Skin:
Always use a disposable cloth when washing your face: Regular towels store bacteria and can cause breakouts too easily. These facial wipes from Amazon are my holy grail.
Wear sunscreen daily: Yes, even when you spend all day indoors. UV rays can interact with your skin through windows, too.
Niacinamide, Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid, & Tea Tree Oil are among the few skincare ingredients almost everyone should consider incorporating into their skincare routine.
Learn the correct order to apply the products in your skincare routine: Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Spot Treatment, Moisturizer, Sunscreen (or Retinol/Skin Oil at night).
Remember: From a dermatologist's perspective, your face starts (or ends) at your nipples. So, ensure you're cleansing, exfoliating, and applying sunscreen daily to your neck, chest, and décolletage to keep your skin smooth, youthful, and well-hydrated.
Vaseline is a great (affordable) alternative to traditional eye creams.
Sugar scrub your facial hair for a more gentle alternative to waxing (Combine sugar, lemon, and water). Laser hair removal, especially under your arms and your arms/legs is life-changing.
Follow up a warm shower with a dry brush and coconut oil for smoother, firmer skin.
Always apply a hydrating lip balm, mask, or Vaseline, hand cream, and moisturizer to your feet before going to sleep.
Layer complementary scents. Ensure the scents of body wash, lotion, and perfume work well together and don't clash.
Makeup:
Learn your skin undertones and educate yourself on color theory (I can share a post on this on the Post+ feed if you want some more educational content on these types of topics – I write about them for a living!).
Test any foundation, concealer, or face powder on your wrists, too.
Don't forget to color-match your bronze and blush: They can appear orange or muddy if you don't find a product with the correct shade or undertones for your skin type.
Invest in products that go on your face, brow products, and eyeliners. Great mascaras and lip products are easy to find at a drugstore or relatively cheap (I suggest Covergirl and d NYX, respectively).
Apply concealer in a triangle; don't dot it around your eyes for better coverage.
If you have oily skin (or it's humid outside), apply powder before your liquid/cream products. Set them again with a light powder to lock the color in.
Apply mascara from tip to base for the best lashes of your life: One coat on the tip, another from middle to tip, and the last coat from base to tip.
In a pinch, use a fragrance-free moisturizer and a q-tip to remove excess makeup (no more raccoon eyes).
Use a light nude or white eyeshadow underneath your brow to make them appear more defined.
Apply face powder under your eyes to help the eyeliner on your waterline last longer.
Create a simple daily makeup routine formula: 1 skin coverage (foundation/concealer), 1 skin color (a favorite blush or bronzer), brows, mascara, an eye-definer (eyeliner or shadow), and a signature "your lips but better" lip shade (1-2 shades deeper or lighter than your natural lip color): This formula provides you the basics, so you never have an excuse not to put yourself together for the day (5-10 minute routine here).
Discover your day-to-night hero product: Always keep a slightly deeper lipstick, a smoky eyeshadow, or liquid liner in your bag to transition your day look into the evening with one portable product.

SNACKS
-IF BIG HUNGRY
- Get 1 and 1/2 pound of ground chicken -if still hungry, get another one- can put in low fat tortilla, add cheese, spinach, ect.
-IF SMALL HUNGRY
-Must be Greek yogurt, MAX three times a day, because one time you had too many and your tummy hurt and you kept doing it and your mom said you had to stop -can add fruit and chia seeds-if small hungry but you have already consumed 3 yogurts, then handful of nut -if still hungry, but not enough for ground chicken, enter post-yogurt, pre chicken gathering, aka squirrel mode- squirrel mode until you are hungry enough for big chicken
-EVERYTIME YOU NEED GAS FOR YOUR CAR
-Go into gas station, find refrigerator, find healthy section-Grab packet of two wet hard-boiled eggs, preferably with salt, if no salt, you can get packet of salt from the little table -If sad at gas station, get breakfast sandwich, look at eggs, 50% chance to get eggs, you will know if you want them or not, but even if not, look at them-Every second wednesday, when driving back from therapy, get muffin - not every wednesday get muffin, but always get eggs- look around to see if in sweet or salty mood, then go get the eggs-protein chips
-POST WORKOUT
-Once a week, after workout, treat time-usually a bagel- Asiago bagel, egg, bellpepper, ham, Chipotle mayo, and chedder cheese-can also be breakfast sandwich or muffin-rarely, can be a restaurant you haven't tried, go and get treat
-LATE NIGHTS, AKA YOURE HUNGRY BIT YOURE SUPPOSED TO HO TO BED
-after 9-10, past dinner, back in breakfast sphere- Eggs, turkey bacon, breakfast bites, fruits, ect-make eggs-either scrambled with spinach or cheese, can be with or without a wrap with meat - can also be an omlette- omlette is made with thyme and garlic pepper, NO SALT-can pair with turkey bacon, or finish with yogurt-can justify a 4th yogurt this late-tummy will hurt
-SKINCARE
-every morning and night-apply gentle foaming cleanser -must be specific to you, must work for your skin- once or twice a week, use exfoliating cleanser-for night specifically -apply retinol serum one every 2-3 days-apply 25 hrs peptide moisturizer, not too much, can cause breakout-use a Vaseline like substance on cracked or dry spots, including lips-for morning specifically -use vitamin c serum, paying extra attention to the space under your eyes and any discolored patches-after, use green tea face mask to release toxins, refreshing but unreliable and unsustainable
-DAILY SUPPLEMENTS-step one, two multi viramine gummies-Allegra, for anti inflammatory benefits and allegies-orange flavored vitamin c gummies-2 for 500 milligrams, 4, if on trip, for 1000 milligrams-difficult to overdose on vitamin c-take 1 fish oil pill to cognitive function and slipperyness-last one, a peach vitamin d gummy (best flavor)-if experiencing difficulties with nails and/or hair, or are without assessment to biotin shampoo, use biotin gummies for nails and hair-people will say that multivitamins and vitamins in general, are a scam unless you are vitamin deficit-scientifically, they are right, however, they taste gummy good

You step out of your large shower cavern, water still dripping from your body, and you find Mat sitting patiently on a bench you have in your large ensuite. The sound of the shower door closing has his head snapping up in your direction. He watches as you towel off and slip on your robe, mouth watering at the sight of you.
Before you can walk to the counter, he reaches out to pull you in between his legs. His hands rest peacefully on your hips. You smile at the puppy eyes he’s giving you, carding your hands through his hair to get a sigh out of him. He slowly makes his way to the ties of your robe, fiddling with the material.
“No funny business, mister,” you tut, tapping your finger on his lips.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” his last word comes out in a moan as you pull on the small strands of hair at the nape of his neck.
“I need to film the video for Vogue and you’re trouble,” you whisper.
Mat doesn’t respond, he just pulls on the ties of your robe, revealing your naked body. You smirk at the way he ogles at you. Even after carrying his 3 babies, you’re still the prettiest woman he’s ever known. He presses kisses along your stomach, nipping at the supple flesh of your boobs. He glides his nails along your side, creating goosebumps in their wake, and you have to grip his shoulders to stop yourself from falling to the ground.
You scratch the stubble on his jaw, the result of not shaving for a few days, and angle his head back so you can kiss his waiting lips. You can feel your body sinking into his touch, so much that you straddle his lap, wanting to be closer to him.
“I thought you said no funny business,” Mat says, quickly silencing your rebuttal by letting his tongue dance with yours.
Immediately pulling away, resulting in him letting out a disgruntled groan, you get up from his lap and tie your robe again.
“You’re right! I need to film this video, and you need to get the kids and yourself ready. I love you. Tonight, you can have me all you want,” you say to him.
“Yes ma’am,” he kisses the back of your neck before exiting the ensuite.
You pull out all your skincare products, plus makeup, hair tools, and perfume. You tousle your wet hair, giving it life instead of just looking flat. Two deep breaths and you turn on the camera, setting a 5 second timer before it starts recording.
“Hello lovelies. Y/n Barzal here, and I’m going to show my routine for a date night!” You talk to the camera.
“So, usually for date nights I keep my makeup simple. I use less eye makeup and focus more on my lips. However, tonight my husband and I are attending a YSL event and we’re turning it into our own little date, so my makeup will be a little more than simple.”
You grab two hair clips to pin your hair back, and go into your skincare routine.
“First, skincare. I already washed my face in the shower, so we’ll move right into my next step which is eye serum. Technically the next step would be a toner, but I don’t use one. Ever since having kids, my skin isn’t the same as it used to be when I was younger, so I feel like a toner doesn’t work well for me. I also should be using an eye cream as I’m getting older, but I just don’t feel like I need it at the moment. The eye serum does what I need it to do, which is to lighten my dark eyes. It’s the Mudmasky: vitamin-infused serum,” you say while applying the serum under your eyes.
“Next I use vaseline. I use it for my dry spots, and you might wonder why I don’t use a face oil, but vaseline just works best for me. It always has. For the most part my skin has always been fairly good. I do breakout every now and then, but it’s mostly hormonal,” you explain, reaching for your next product when you hear the ensuite door open.
“Mommy,” Nolan whispers, knowing that you are busy.
“Hi, my love. Is everything okay?”
He makes his way to you, arms lifting up so you can carry him. He’s already 4 but he’ll always be your little baby.
“Miss you,” he whispers into your neck.
“My baby, want to stay with me?” You ask, rubbing his back and smiling when he nods his head.
“Sorry for the little interruption, guys. My little man missed me. I hope you all don’t mind a guest. The next step is moisturizer! I use Saturday Skin’s carrot moisturizer,” you show the product and expertly open it and apply it while also holding Nolan.
“This is a sport. Younger me would have a panic attack at the thought of multitasking. 4 years of being a mother has trained me so well,” you laugh.
“Baby?” Mat calls for your attention.
“Yeah?”
“Is Nolan awake?”
“Hmm…” you look at Nolan who still has his face hiding in your neck and pretend you can’t feel his eyelashes fluttering against your skin every time he blinks. “I don’t think so. Why don’t I wake him up?” You say out loud, beginning to tickle his sides. He starts squirming and squealing.
“Daddy! Help!” He reaches out for Mat.
Mat brings him in his arms, once again shirtless in a Vogue video. Your heart flutters at the sight of Nolan holding on tightly to his daddy, he presses a kiss to his cheek the moment he’s in his hold.
“You were cuddling with mama, little man? I wish I could cuddle with her, too,” Mat says and you playfully roll your eyes.
“Hi, Vogue!” Mat greets the camera.
“My man loves being shirtless for the camera, apparently. It’s his inner model,” you tease him, reaching your arms out for him just like Nolan did.
“Not funny when you have your hands all-“ he gets cut off by you throwing your arms around him, letting his face rest in your neck.
The camera gets a perfect shot of his hand caressing your back before falling to your ass to squeeze it.
“Give mommy kisses before we leave,” Mat instructs Nolan. Nolan just looks at you with so much love, hands holding your cheeks so he can press a small kiss to your lips.
When they leave you turn back to the camera with a content smile on your face.
“I love being a mother and a wife!” You squeal.
“Okay! Next step: face massage with my jade roller. I love this step because it’s so soothing for me. I learned about this through a makeup artist I was working with a few years ago.”
You continue to go on with the rest of your skincare, styling your hair in a quick updo. You change out of your robe, about to start your makeup when Mat comes in again. This time with Sloane and Angel in his arms.
“Sloane is hungry and I got to get the boys dressed. I tried to lay her in the crib, but she isn’t having it,” Mat says.
“Is my girl hungry? My precious baby! Mama will feed you. It’s okay, hotshot, I got her. I love you,” you respond, squeezing Sloane in your arms and squeezing Angel’s cheek.
“I love you.”
“Sorry again. When you’re a mom, family always comes first! That being said, it’s time for makeup!
I’m not using any foundation or concealer only because my skin is in a good state, and I don’t want it to suffocate. I will start with applying gel to my eyebrows; the NYX brow glue is my go to,” you say to the camera as it gets another view of you getting ready with only one hand available. You expertly carry her in one arm while that hand flexes oddly to hold her bottle to her mouth.
“I’m going to curl my lashes off camera because I just can't do it through the viewfinder,” you announce, stepping away.
Since you’re away from the camera, you take the time to finish feeding Sloane, knowing that the big pause will be edited out of the video.
“Mommy!”
“Mama!”
You smile when you hear both your boys, their loud footsteps that you can hear Mat chastising them about.
“Don’t be so loud, mama is busy,” Mat tells them.
“It’s fine! I’m taking a little break,” you assure him.
Their little bodies crash into your legs, but they’re so little it’s like getting hit with a pillow.
“Look,” Nolan says, pointing at his spiderman shirt that Angel is also wearing.
“Oh my goodness. You’re matching with AJ. I love you guys so much. You look so cute, mister,” you say, kissing his cheeks.
“Mama!” AJ yells to get your attention.
“I know, bubs. I love you, too. Come give mommy kisses.”
He waddles over, giving you the messiest kiss, but you can’t complain.
“Bev is here,” Mat lets you know.
Beverly, your best friend, is going to watch your kids for you, so you can have the rare night out with Mat.
Once you make sure everything is packed in their backpacks and give them so many kisses, you resume back in your spot in front of the camera.
You feel Mat’s hands sneak around your waist, stopping you from turning the camera on.
“Don’t start yet,” he says.
“Why?”
“I want a kiss, one that shouldn’t be on camera,” he whispers in your ear, sending chills down your spine. His lips press on your neck, nipping the sensitive skin. His hands start to fondle your boobs over your sweatshirt.
“Baby, we can’t do this. Not right now,” you mutter, turning around to press your lips to his.
“You’re killing me,” he groans.
“Your incoming beard is killing me. It’s so sexy on you.”
“I’m about to shave it right now.”
You pout up at him.
“Can I at least shave it for you?”
“Of course, pretty girl,” you blush furiously, still feeling like that girl with a high school crush.
You sit on the counter and he stands between your legs, handing you the shaver before he puts on the shaving cream. You’re so careful with your movements, not wanting to cut his pretty face. Every now and then you’ll catch each other's eyes, and he’ll let his hands fiddle with the band of your small boxer shorts.
“All done, baby,” you help clean and dry his face, tossing your arms around his neck so you can brush your lips on the freshly shaven skin.
“Thank you. Can I join you for the video?”
“Of course!”
He pulls you into his arms, your back against his-still shirtless-chest, and his head leaning on your shoulder when you return to the front of the camera.
“I’m back! Back to the scheduled program, we have mascara. I will be using the Too Faced: Better Than Sex Foreplay mascara primer and mascara. Oh, and we have a special guest! My husband, Mathew Barzal,” you speak, turning your head to connect your lips in a sweet kiss.
“Off camera, Y/n shaved my face and she’s an expert,” Mat tells the camera.
“I am an expert; I have years of experience,” you smirk.
As you’re applying your mascara you can feel his eyes on you, so you turn to see him looking at you with infatuation.
“I can watch you put makeup on, take your makeup off anytime. You’re just so mesmerizing,” he declares. Your heart flips at his remark.
“Stop, you’re making me blush! Guys, Mat is trying to make me flustered,” you say with a laugh when he starts lightly tickling you.
“Instead of eyeshadow, I’m using eyeliner and smudging it out to give a bit of a smokey eye look,” you explain and show how you do it.
“Next up is blush! I will be using Rare Beauty’s liquid blush in shade bliss.”
“I like this color,” he compliments.
“Thank you, barzy.”
“After the blush, it’s time for lipstick, the best part!”
“It’s not the best part. Once the lipstick goes on I can’t kiss her,” Mat says to the camera and you playfully glare at him.
“That’s so not true. You know that I still kiss you even after I put lipstick on,” you retort.
“Anyways, I use a NYX lip liner in espresso, and since we’re going to a YSL event I will use their candy glaze in shade 14. It’s one of my favorite lip combos.”
“I love the candy glaze. Her lips are so glossy for so long. This isn’t an ad by the way.”
You giggle at Mat’s little speech.
“See! Isn't it so pretty?” You exclaim!
Mat rests his arm over your shoulders, and you decide to give him a lipstick kiss that you apparently deprive him of. He doesn’t even see it coming, you grab his jaw and pull his face closer to yours to slot your lips with his. You can literally feel him melt into you.
“Ahem… it’s kiss proof, so even better,” you say out of breath, and Mat is just awestruck.
“I want to show you guys my outfit because I actually love it so much. Oh! This is the necklace I’m wearing tonight,” you grab the camera and show the silver heart pendant that you’ll be wearing.
“Let’s go to my closet so I can show you the dress! Hey, hotshot, you coming?” You ask Mat who’s still dazed. He snaps out of it, hurriedly catching up to you.
“Here’s a little look at my closet, maybe one day I can film a tour for you all.”
You set the camera on one of the counters in your closet, and show off your dress for the night.
“It’s simple but still has a little flair to it! I will be wearing some YSL sunglasses and heels and will top it off with their Black Opium perfume. If you can, you guys need to buy that scent, it’s amazing.”
“It does smell really good- especially on Y/n,” Mat agrees, once again making you blush.
“Thank you all for watching! I hope you find something helpful in this video. Now, I got to go, there’s a tie that needs to be tied on Mat’s neck, and a fun date night waiting for us. I love you all, bye!”
You click the camera off, turning around to throw yourself in Mat’s arms.
“I’m cold,” you whine, mouth pressed onto his jaw.
His hands gravitate to the backs of your thighs, lifting you up so you can wrap your legs around his waist.
“Let me warm you up,” he says softly, lips already kissing your neck.
“We cannot be late tonight,” you warn him, already feeling your resolve crumbling.
“We can be fashionably late,” his lips wrap around your earlobe. You moan out and your hips start to move, your heat desperate for friction.
“We really shouldn’t,” you mutter.
“Want me to stop?”
“Hell no,” you say surely, lips colliding with his and your tongue ready to tangle with his.

My lovely friends, this is a friendly evidence-based post pertaining to the risk reduction of a few well-known health effects of 4n4 and mia. Including: Amenorrhea (loss of regular menstrual period), anaemia, digestive upset, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, general well-being, and osteoporosis. It is quite a long post, but please let me know if there’s any other information you would like me to cover. 💕
🪐 Vitamins and Supplements:
• A-Z Multivitamin. Is beneficial for supplementation. For example, Vitamin C is a vitally important vitamin for the body’s connective tissues, including the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth, cellular formation and maturation, resistance to infection, and an increased ability to heal. Additionally, B12 contributes to an adequately functioning nervous system, bone marrow, and intestinal tract. It also acts to increase metabolism of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Finally vitamin B2 when combined with Vitamin A promotes good vision and healthy skin, as well as assists in metabolising proteins and fats at a cellular level.
• Calcium and Vitamin D. Seek a preparation which offers 1000mg of calcium and 10-20mcg (400-800 iu) of vitamin D. Vitamin D increases the bodies efficacy during the absorption, retention, and metabolising of calcium. Calcium of course being vital for bone integrity and imperative for the prevention of osteopenia/osteoporosis.
• Iron. An appropriate iron intake will restore the functionality of red blood cells, allowing the proper oxygen transportation around the body, increase focus, energy, athletic performance, and sleep. Having a sufficient iron store will alleviate some commonly experienced symptoms of low iron including fatigue, dizziness, pallor, and shortness of breath. It may also reduce the sensation of cold hands and feet.
• Potassium and Zinc. A lack of zinc impairs the ability to smell and taste. Connecting this impairment to nose blindness. For example, a lack of a sense of smell and taste may impair one’s own ability to detect their own bad breath, BO, and other unpleasant smells that others may be able to detect.
• Omega 3’s - Fish oil, Krill oil, Hemp oil, or Flaxseed oil. Improper dietary intake, or supplementation of omega 3 fatty acids will result in areas of epidermal (skin) dryness, hyperkeratosis, and hyperpigmentation. As well as the formation large scales expose underlying tissue, which are easily infected. The hair becomes sparse, dry, lusterless, and brittle, with a reddish tinge. Furthermore, nails become brittle and dull, tear production reduces, the tears are also significantly less oily leading to increased evaporation contributing to chronically dry, red, and itchy eyes.
If oil supplements are scary for you to intake due to calorie fears (there is only approx 25 calories in 2 average fish oil capsules). There are dietary sources of omega 3 that are relatively low calorie including chia seeds, edamame, and seaweed. However they provide little amounts in comparison to supplementation or traditional dietary sources such as fish, avocado, oils etc.
However this should also be considered when deciding whether to supplement omega 3’s - they stimulate the secretion of leptin, a hormone that decreases appetite and promotes the burning of fat. Through the enabling of conversion of dietary fats into body cells for burning as fuel.
🍄 Dietary Intake
•Bone broth (or vegetable broth if meat is not apart of your diet ☺️) I cannot stress how great bone broth is! Extremely low calorie, but incredibly nutrient-dense. It also acts to decrease the inflammation within the gut that many of us will experience due to our dietary habits. Including conditions such as constipation, gastroparesis, liver disease, bloating, abdominal pain, and stomach ulceration.
Bone broth also contains large amounts of protein, collagen, iron, vitamins A and K, fatty acids, selenium, zinc, and manganese. Protein being the most satiating macronutrient can decrease hunger and associated discomfort. Collagen and the variety of micronutrients within the bone broth contributes to joint and bone health. Bone broth will also contribute to hydration.
•Nutrient-dense foods including blueberries l are among the best sources of anthocyanins (antioxidants) that promote brain health and reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Additionally, red tomatoes and red capsicum (Peppers). Tomatoes are the richest source of lycopene, which is a type of carotenoid found in red fruits that has powerful antioxidant effect that may help protect against heart disease and certain types of cancer.
•Fibre is imperative for smooth gastrointestinal function, including regular bowel movements. Fibre is of course typically found in whole fruits and vegetables, beans/lentils, and whole grains. Low calorie fibre sources include: red kidney beans, carrot, and chickpeas. Psyllium, chia seeds are also good sources of fibre. Fibre supplants such as Metamucil may also aid to increase fibre intake. An adequate intake of fibre may reduce the dependence of laxative for bowel movements. Prolonged use of laxatives may create a dependency on them to even have a bowel movement.
🥥 Adequate Hydration
• The best way to ensure adequate hydration is simply by consuming enough water during the day. However, if plain water consumption is difficult, fluid intake will also suffice. Including fluid such as teas, flavoured/enhanced water, diet soft drinks, juices, etc. The optimal fluids to consume in addition to, or instead of simple water to ensure adequate hydration is mineral water, coconut water, or diet electrolyte replacements (Powerade/Gatorade, Pedialyte, Hydralyte). Correct hydration and electrolyte intake will reduce headaches, constipation, and muscle cramps/weakness.
❤️ Reproductive Health
•Amenorrhea is a common experience for those of us with a uterus. However it is imperative to understand that you are more than likely still ovulating despite the lack of a regular menstrual period. Therefore, contraception must still be used. Amenorrhea may be alleviated through dietary supplementation and small changes to the diet to include more micronutrients, but it may not be completely fixed unless there is an increase to body fat percentages.

Health: Misconceptions with Anemia and "Iron Deficiency"
Iron Absorption & Utilization
Simply taking iron supplements often doesn't cure anemia.
Proper absorption and utilization of iron involve many processes.
1/3 of the population has trouble absorbing and utilizing iron; it's considered the most common nutritional disorder in the world.
Anemia is usually about iron dysregulation, not deficiency.
Iron supplements or injections tend to circulate excessively, potentially causing toxicity.
Iron overload strains the iron recycling system and the liver.
Liver plays a key role in regulating iron uptake.
Iron doesn't regulate itself; it's copper-dependent.
Copper is essential for ceruloplasmin, a protein that mobilizes iron from tissues into the blood. Without copper, iron accumulates in tissue leading to inflammation and tissue damage which can develop into others issues like heart or liver disease and diabetes with increased risk of infection and cancer.
Retinol (Vitamin A) enhances iron absorption and influences genes regulating iron metabolism.
Iron Testing
CBC can detect anemia but it can't necessarily tell you the cause.
Serum ferritin doesn't give a true measure of iron stores.
Approximately 70% of iron is found in hemoglobin, around 20-25% is stored as ferritin and hemosiderin in tissues, about 5% is in myoglobin and enzymes, and roughly 0.1% as serum iron.
For accurate assessment, consider all containers of iron including hemoglobin, serum iron, and ferritin, as well as non-iron markers such as zinc, copper, and vitamins A & D.
The only direct way to measure iron stores is to keep removing blood until anemia sets in, then account for the iron deficit and dietary iron consumed during this time.
Sources (meat, liver, and seafood)
Copper: liver, nuts, molasses, oats, bee pollen, shellfish, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, acerola cherry powder, shilajit.
Retinol (Vitamin A): liver, other organ meats, egg yolk, seafood, fish liver oils, dairy products.
Other Insights
Phytates in plants can hinder non-heme iron absorption but vitamin C helps to counteract these inhibitory effects.
Over-supplementing with zinc can cause copper deficiency since copper and zinc need to be in balance.
There are many causes of anemia beyond "iron deficiency", such as vitamin B12 deficiency.
The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded in 1934 to George Whipple, George Minot, and William Murphy for their discoveries related to liver therapy in cases of anemia.
Other studies have supported incorporating beef liver (which contains copper, iron, zinc, vitamin A and D) into the diet.
The key is to have food that isn't concentrated on a certain vitamin or mineral but provides a mixture of what we need in a way that our body can properly absorb without inhibiting effects.
Men are naturally higher in iron than women and women are naturally higher in copper than men (estrogen levels contribute to the production of copper).
Female menstruation is why iron deficiency anemia is more common among women.
Signs of anemia include fatigue, pale complexion, blurred vision, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, cold hands and feet, scanty menstruation, numbness, insomnia, poor memory, dry skin, brittle nails, vertical ridges on nails, muscle twitches, shortness of breath, chest pain, headache, swollen or sore tongue, unusual cravings, restless legs.

How’d you get your nails to grow so long and healthy?
so, sorry in advance, this is gonna be a bit long.
First thing would be to avoid acrylics and other nail extensions that involve filing the nail bed. That fucks up your nails so much, even if your nail tech says it doesn't, it really does, they can become extremely weak. And I'm saying this from personal experience, I've only ever gotten acrylics once and it took me about a year and a half, perhaps more, after that and a lot of patience to get back to where my natural nails were before that. And the only way out once you've done that is cutting and starting from 0.
I think press ons are fine as long as you or your nail tech are really careful with how you do them. I mention this mostly because I understand how frustrating it can be to wait for your nails to grow, so press ons can help with that frustration without messing up your nails in the same way extensions do.
Oiling your nails helps a lot too, I use coconut oil on my nails, but I know jojoba oil is also really good.
The shape is kind of important as well, in my experience square shaped nails are more likely to break, I think it puts more stress on the nails, so I like to go for a nice almond shape as soon as they get long enough to shape.
I'm very careful with my manicuring, I change my nail polish multiple times a week and I can't guarantee mine is the best way to do it, but this is what works for me:
- I always start with removing the nail polish, washing my hands and cleaning my nails and then oiling them all over (and on the back of the nail) for at least 30 minutes before wiping off the oil;
- then I apply a base coat and mine is supposed to help keep the nails strong and help them grow (I don't know how much of that is true, but it works for me). Overall start with a good base coat.
- next is my colour, I apply no less than 3 coats of colour, every single time, no matter how sheer or how pigmented. I also don't use gel varnish, I use one that's a two step kind, so there's the colour -step 1- and the top coat -step 2-, the top coat helps it dry (it dries so quickly!! And stays shiny the whole time). *
- I'd keep your manicuring to 5 to 7 layers, 5 works just fine for me (1 of base coat, 3 of colour, 1 of the top coat). It gives me some security with using my hands (adding a little strength to my nails, because of the amount of layers, so it kind of protects them a bit from impact) and it lasts a decent amount of time. **
Oiling your nails at least once a day. I do it before I go to bed and it helps a bunch because I don't like the feeling of the oil on my skin.
Now, taking a "from the inside to the outside" approach:
if you can, check which vitamins your body might be needing, that might be in the way of your nails growing and making them weak. My body is always low on iron, vitamin d and vitamin c, so I've been adding them to my diet through supplements. If you can't be specific like that (I mostly am, because I have to see my endocrinologist for my diabetes regularly and he always asks for blood tests), there are supplements that are more general for nail and hair growth.
I hate saying this, but my diet has also been significantly better along with exercising, so that might have contributed to it.*** Which is to say:
eat some veggies if you can, drink your water, you know, keep it simple so it doesn't become overwhelming and don't restrict yourself (that can be a slippery slope), baby steps are already good enough.
Oh, also avoid opening things with your nails, like soda cans etc, use a spoon or something like that.
Also, if you can, leave your cuticles alone.

*this two step situation is slightly pricier than classic/regular polish, but way way way cheaper than nail extensions and even gel. So overall, maybe more steps, but also cheaper and I really enjoy having a "me time" doing my nails and use it as self care, so I think it's fun.
**I don't do my layers too thick, so they don't look weird, just enough to cover the nail.
*** I didn't start exercising and eating better for the nails, I'm just aware that that might have helped.

i love & live for your nailposting so i have to ask — do you have any tips on cuticle care??? i find that mine grow SUPER quickly and i constantly have to trim them back with cuticle clippers but i feel like they never…. Look Nice™️.
first of all THANK YOU and the 10 other ppl who like my nailposting. second, it's hard to give specific tips w/o knowing anything about your Bod, but general tips that are always applicable are just like. push them back frequently, esp when they're soft like right after your hands have gotten wet, or you've moisturized. also def recommend using a cuticle oil every once in awhile, daily if possible! you can homebrew a cuticle oil by just using jojoba and vitamin E, if you wanna be a little cheap abt it and/or you're sensitive to fragrances, Like Moi. (premade cuticle oil is generally Scented.) using cuticle nippers and trimming them is sick and I also do it every once in awhile, but keeping them Pushed Back and Not Dry is the first line of defense, I think! if you're snipping really often, though, it can actually make the regrowth a little Worse. edit: I ALMOST FORGOT about doing cuticle cleanup with a dissolvent. they make lots of kinds, I have a sally hansen one, it comes in a little blue bottle. For the dead skin that's actually climbing up the nail plate and sticking to it, you'd apply this stuff for a minute or so, and then scrape off the (newly softened) dead skin with a little orangewood stick/cuticle pusher.

Morning Meditation and Cleansing (1 hour):
-Collect fresh hand towels and walk to the natural spring in the center of the garden. Strip down to smallclothes/pants, wash briefly in the cold, natural waters.
-Begin the day from then on with a meditation session amidst the lush garden, different from trancing. This is to strengthen and organize the mind.
-Perform a yoga routine to stretch his muscles and improve flexibility.
Hair Care Ritual (1 hour):
-Gather fresh herbs and flowers from his garden known for their nourishing properties, such as lavender, rosemary, and chamomile.
-Brew a concoction of herbal tea and let it cool to room temperature. Use a combination of previously dried herbs as well as fresh because they have different effects and properties.
-Wash his hair with the herbal tea mixture, gently massaging his scalp to stimulate blood flow and promote hair growth!
-Apply a homemade hair mask made from a blend of oils, and honey to nourish and hydrate his locks.
-Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow his hair to air dry in the warm Feywild sunlight, ensuring it remains soft and shiny.
Skincare and Body Care (1 hour):
-Prepare a luxurious bath infused with fragrant flower petals, soothing essential oils, and natural salts.
-Cleanse his skin with a gentle homemade soap crafted from botanical ingredients like aloe vera, calendula, and oatmeal- or other combinations depending on the day and his mood.
-Exfoliate his body using a homemade sugar or salt scrub to slough away dead skin cells and reveal radiant, smooth skin.
-Apply a nourishing body oil or lotion made from oils, plant based butters, and vitamin E to moisturize and protect his skin.
-Perform a face care routine seperate from his body care as it requires different ingredients and methods!
-Trim and file his nails, push back cuticles, apply mineral oils to strength the nail bed, remove any dirt of dead skin, ensuring they are clean and well-groomed.

Morning Skincare:
Gentle facial cleanser & water
Vitamin C serum + hyaluronic acid
Facial moisturizer
Sunscreen designed for your face (at least SPF 50 – I think that this La Roche Posay SPF 60 choice is the best option for the money)
Apply sunscreen to your hands, neck, and any parts that will be exposed to the sun (Don't forget to use an SPF lip balm, too!)
Nighttime Skincare:
Remove any makeup (I love these Simple makeup wipes!)
Gentle cleanser
Toner/serums (only use AHAs like glycolic acid or lactic acid and retinol/retinoids at night, using them during the day can increase chances of sunburning)
Facial moisturizer (can be heavier than the one you use during the day, especially in the winter or if you have dry skin)
Spot treatments (if needed)
Eye cream
Skincare Extras:
Exfoliate your face 2-3 times/week (I love the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads but the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser is a great drugstore option!)
Always use disposable cloths instead of a regular towel on your face to reduce bacteria, breakouts, or infections (I love the Clean Skin Club ones!)
Exfoliate your body 2-3 times a week using a dry brush or a scrub (I love the CeraVe Salicylic Acid Body Cleanser, but my favorite is the OUAI Sugar Scrub) and follow it up with a hydrating body moisturizer
Always exfoliate and moisturize before shaving, waxing, or other body hair removal treatments (look up the timeframes for the type of hair removal you choose)
Scrub under your nails daily with antibacterial soap & water and a nail brush
Vaseline is a versatile staple item that can be used as an affordable alternative to an eye cream, cuticle oil, lip balm, or hand cream, and can be used to treat any dry, cracked, or rough patches on the skin
Use a hand lotion and moisturizer on your feet with socks every night before bed
Aloe vera and coconut oil are great skincare staples to keep on hand to soothe burns, irritation, or inflamed skin
Haircare Tips:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist)
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag
Use dryer sheets to minimize hair frizz and water or Vaseline to slick back fly-aways
Other Hygiene Tips:
Brush teeth, floss, & skincare (2x/day); Get a water pick, too, if you can!
Use a toothbrush cover at all times; Close the toilet seat before flushing
Wash your body towels at least once a week
Wash your pillowcases weekly and sheets at least once every 2 weeks
Throw out and replace your mascara every 2-3 months
Change your underwear and socks daily or more after sweating/working out
For those who menstruate, change your pad or tampon every 3-4 hours
Vulva owners: Use a fragrance-free soap on the outside, only water to clean the inside – no fancy wipes or douching. Wipe front to back!
Wear cotton underwear whenever possible; Find a fabric that breathes
Have a similar buttocks cleansing routine that you do for your face to prevent embarrassing zits or acne
Don't shave between waxes; Use tweezers if necessary a few days after your hair removal treatment
Always wash your hands before touching your face

Serums can be a game-changer in maintaining youthful and radiant hands. Look for a serum specifically formulated for hands, packed with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or vitamin C to boost hydration and combat signs of aging.
After Cleansing: Once your hands are cleansed and exfoliated, take a small amount of your preferred kawaii hand serum onto your fingertips. Dot the serum onto the back of one hand, then gently massage it into both hands using upward motions, focusing on areas that may show signs of aging or dryness.
