Would definitely be the kind of guy to be totally oblivious at first, it’s almost comitic

For instance, as you two would be making your way down the street to get lunch at a local restaurant, you were feeling more and more anxious. You didn’t know why, it was just a restaurant, after all, but still. The feeling felt like a blanket of dread was wieghing down on you, making it harder and harder to breath.

Your pace slowed, body shaking as you held your arms close to your chest, eyes darting around very second.

Hajime looked back at you and tilted his head.

“Is everything alright? You look a bit… pale.”

“I-I think… I’m having a panic attack…”

You held your head, your thoughts moving so hard it felt like you were going to explode.

And now realizing what was happening, Hajime starts panicking. He can’t help it, okay? He just doesn’t know what to do!

“I-I, uh, do you need a hug? Do you… um, oh, what to do, what to do!!”

He would honestly really appreciate it if you told him what you need. But, if your not in the right headspace to think or if you can’t talk while panicking, he’ll try his best.

He’ll say…

“It okay, nothing can hurt you here. Everything’s okay. We can go back to my house if you want? Uh, is that weird? I-I’m sorry, we can go to your place if you want.”

You slowly nod in response, pressing yourself against him, causing him to let out a small gasp in response. You could feel his body tense at the touch. He cleared his throat and asked…

“So…. Uh, your place or my place?”

“Yours…”

Your voice was barely a whisper, but loud enough for Hajime to hear it.

“Okay, then. It’s not too far from here. Are you… able to walk?”

You only squeezed him tighter in response, the feelings of anxiety rushing back to you at the mention of moving.

“Ack! T-that’s… too tight..” Hajime’s voice sounded strained and caught in his throat. “I-if you can’t move right now, then we can wait here a bit… just, please let me breath…” he looked down sympathetically at you as you nuzzled your face against his chest. He paused for a minute before saying…

“Don’t worry, I’m here for you. Always will.”

Would have a small internal panic attack, scared that his luck finally ran out, before shaking his head to dislodge his thoughts and hurrying to your side to see what he could do.

For example, when you two were cuddling out at his house while you both read a book together, the sentence one of the characters said brought back some…. Unwanted memories. The stinging feelings in your heart seemed to only escalate as you continued reading. Nagito looked over at you curiously. You heart seemed to be beating a lot faster the normal and you had a weird look in your eyes.

“Is everything alright, my hope? You seem a bit off.”

Realizing what he said, he chuckled.

“Ah, forgive me for being to bold, it’s probably none of my business. But… if something is wrong, you have to tell me, okay?”

“Nothing’s wrong, I just… I just have to use the bathroom. I’ll be right back.”

Nagito nodded in response, his eyes locked onto yours as you left. Nagito immediately closed the book and opened his phone to check one of the apps he downloaded. He used the app to keep track of your period, and according to it, I shouldn’t be happening until a week or two. So… what could have gotten you so fearful?

Meanwhile, you quickly closed the bathroom door behind you, leaning over the sink to stare back at yourself in the mirror. You wrapped your arms around your body tightly, feeling your breathing begin to quicken. Oh no oh no oh no, why’d ones this have to be happening now?!

You flinched as you heard a knock on the door.

“I know something is wrong, so please can I come in?”

In response to the voice you fell to the ground and inched away from the door, tucking your head in your arms.

“G-Go away! Please, don’t see me like this!”

If Nagito wasn’t worried before, he sure as hell was now. Ignoring what you said, he opened the door and gasped slightly at the slight of your crumpled, sobbing body on the ground.

“My… hope…?”

He quickly rushes to your side, pulling you into his arms. Your body tensed at the feeling of being enveloped in his arms.

“I’m here, my beloved, I’m here for you always. Now, can you match my breathing for a couple seconds?”

You nodded against his shoulder.

After breathing slowly in and out for a few seconds, and with the feeling of Nagito slowly petting your hair, you felt yourself beginning to calm back down.

“There, that’s better. You did amazing, so amazing. But… please, I know it’s none of my business, but what caused you to react like this. Did I do something? If so, you can punish me a harshly as you’d like.”

“It’s… it’s a long story… it doesn’t matter now though, it’s no big deal.”

“It if wasn’t a big deal, then it wouldn’t be affecting you like this. But, you can tell me whenever you feel ready, right now I just want to do everything I can to make you feel better.”

Nagito paused for a second.

“Why not i give you a nice, warm bath, and after that we can watch your favorite movie and eat some ice cream?”

Your eyes lit up at the suggestion.

“Mhm… please.”

Would panic, just like The other two boys up here, but would seem a lot angrier for some reason. He also would kinda need to be told what you wanted to do whenever you were having a panic attack. Would probably put a hit on anyone who even looked at you while he tried to think of ways to calm you down.

For example, Fuyuhiko was waiting for you to return home from work while on the phone with one of his underlings, when suddenly he heard the door open. He quickly sis she had to leave and hung up, immediately walking towards you.

“What took you so long? Had me waiting foreve-“

He cut himself off when you saw a distant look in your eyes. You body also seemed to be… trembling?

“… are you okay?“

All you could do was continue to space out, the feelings slowly clouding your mind, chasing your o begin to sob.

“The fuck?! Did something fucking happen?!”

He immediately ran up to you and tried to lift up your chin to get a clear look into your eyes. He felt his heart drop at the look of pure fear he was met with and the slightest outline of a bruise on your cheek.

You yelped as his expression instantly went dark and borderline blood thirsty.

He pulled you close to his body, leaning his head close to your ear? Lowering his vice to a low whisper as to not make you more scared then you were right now.

“Tell me. Who did this to you? What stupid piece of disgusting horse shit dared lay their hands on you? Just give me a name and I’ll solve everything for you. I’ll make sure their lives and their families lives are completely destroyed for touching my beautiful partner’s face. “

After a couple sniffles, you eventually told him the names of the people who jumped you on the streets and threatened you that they would kill Fuyuhiko if you tried to fight back. You were luck to be able to run away before it actually got messy, but you still had a couple bruises. You were too nervous to tell him because you were scared they would actually try to kill him.

He only chuckled, a low and slightly psychotic chuckle.

“Baby, you know who I am, right? I’m literally the heir to the Yakusa clan, if anyone should be scared, it’s those lowlifes. Aghh… they will pay for this.”

You gasped as you felt his grip around you tighten, the rage practically radiating off of his body. Even though you were still nervous for Fuyuhiko, you always knew that he would go down without a fight.

And a fight there would be.

Later that night, while you were nestled down on the couch, Fuyuhiko in the kitchen ‘taking a call’ the news suddenly switched on.

“Now live, we just got in a couple reports of three men in their 30’s to 40’s have now been reported missing. The police has been sent to their homes, but no pet her info has come out yet. Stay tuned as we investigate this sudden abduction.”

Shuichi

Whether someone is an Ultimate Flirt or not Shuichi will easily get embarrassed by any advances you make.

Every little pick up line, compliment, or well timed dirty jokes makes his cheeks burn red with embarrassment as he struggles to find his words again.

He doesn’t have a lot of confidence but he can’t deny that it’s somewhat pleasant being the target of the Ultimate Flirt’s affections.

He isn’t very hard to get to so he’d probably fall for you rather quickly.

Kaito

Given how easy it is for Kaito to read people he’d have an easy time seeing your intentions, not that he minded them though.

Having someone flirt and compliment you all the time was nice in a way.

Getting Kaito embarrassed however proves rather difficult. He isn’t embarrassed by most things so rather than shy away like Shuichi he’ll proudly flirt back, enjoying all the attention.

He normally prefers to be the one to act first but he’d find that he’s falling for you before he’d even realize it.

Hiyoko

Hiyoko despite being rather mean falls to compliments. With a blush on her cheeks she may tell you you’re gross or annoying but don’t be fooled by her mean act!

She melts at all the attention you give her and will only demand more once she gets used to it.

Just don’t let her catch you giving anyone even an ounce of the attention you give her or else you’ll face her true wrath. She’s jealous and gets rather clingy quickly.

She falls almost instantly for you and your suaveness so you may as well savor the sweet moments you get with a sour girl like Hiyoko.

Rantaro

Rantaro isn’t typically a big fan of romance or flirting but he is rather used to being the target of other peoples’ affections.

He doesn’t get horribly embarrassed too often by your smooth lines or incessant flirting but you do get him at times when he doesn’t expect it.

Normally he just awkwardly laughs as he tries to forget the blush on his face but there’s no way you’re forgetting what it looks like once you’ve seen it once.

He may be difficult to get through with romance but for the Ultimate Flirt there’s little challenge.

He’d fall for you with time just as the others would. It may be more of a wait but even then Rantaro can’t say no to you.

Nagito

Nagito as much as he’s a fan of Ultimates would be confused as to why you’re flirting with him.

He would at first be the biggest pain, often trying to redirect your attention to someone far more “worthy” but once he’d realize that you aren’t leaving would go along with whatever you say.

He’s a difficult target. He doesn’t get embarrassed easily and rarely accepts the compliments you give him.

However, just as it’d be with Rantaro you’d get to him eventually.

All that buttering him up wouldn’t be for naught as he finds his heart pittering and pattering whenever you’re near in due time.

Byakuya

While Nagito and Rantaro are difficult targets in their own right, Byakuya is even worse.

Trying to flirt with Byakuya is like picking the hardest difficulty in a videogame you’ve never played before.

He’s quick to shut down advances and tries to avoid you any chance he gets but even the Byakuya Togami has a weakness.

Compliments. The more you give the happier he is, especially if you acknowledge how hard he’s worked to earn what he has.

It may be a grueling task to get him blush at your words but you’re not the Ultimate Flirt for nothing. If anyone can get Byakuya to fall for them it’s you without a doubt!

Fuyuhiko

Fuyuhiko wasn’t used to many genuine compliments nor flirting. Normally people were scared of him given his reputation as the Ultimate Yakuza but you were different.

You don’t show fear. All you do is flirt and flirt and well to be frank it confused the hell out of him at first.

Even despite this though, it’s super easy to get a reaction out of him. He blushes easily even if he gets mad from certain comments you make in public.

He’d fall rather easily for you given how hard it is to get close to others.

Mahiru

As much as it’s nice to hear so many sweet lines, Mahiru can’t help but get exasperated with how often you say embarrassing things.

Nearly anything you say makes her turn red as a tomato as she utters how embnarassing you’re being.

But as long as you don’t get her annoyed too much she’d be a rather easy target to subdue with your immense amount of charm.

Whether she’d like it or not she’d end up being unable to get you off of her mind as she falls for you more and more each day that goes by.

In terms of just Sal, he’d love the fighting games like Tekken, Mortal Combat, Smash Bros. So he’d challenge both of em to those types of games. Can’t say that I would tho, solely because I haven’t played the first two and the third not in a long time.

Still, some of these games might still be ones I haven’t watched or played.

Games I’d recommend for Fuyu: Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Inside (cuz I’m evil), Resident Evil, the Yakuza series.

All of those have thrills and all but one you get to shoot people/things. I’d say video games may be a healthy way for Fuyuhiko to try and curb his anger. Then again something relaxing like Unravel might be good for him too, so I might rec something like that.

Games I’d recommend for Kaz: Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Ratchet & Clank, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot.

All of those platforming titles are fun and silly at times. Kaz would hate any horror and would probably get anxious while playing something like uncharted. So games like those I could see him really enjoying ❤️ He also would enjoy things like Rocket League, some of the other games you can play with friends.

DRAKEN. he’s that calm and collected while dealing with mikey 24/7? and you think he’s sober doing it. no chance. he probably smokes every other day. like 3 times a week. but would probably smoke 2 or 3 on a good day. he prefers blunts just bc, he’s unfairly good at rolling. like if he rolls for u, it’s gonna go down like heaven. is already more calm then he normally is and gets really giddy. like kinda just sits with a smile and lidded eyes the whole time.

BAJI he has allll that energy and attitude and listens to “baji-san! baji-san! baji- san!! all day, but doesn’t smoke? yeah okay bozo. mf does it literally every day, like shit lemme join. also would light up while in public walking around like it isn’t illegal. he sets cars on fire mf doesn’t care. definitely another blunt r joint guy. did a bong with chifuyu and got sent straight to sleep. convinced fuyu he now has asthma after that time. we got ourselves a muncher here ppl. will eat anything in sight. also gets sleepy sometimes. also questions everything. including how tf draken survived getting stabbed. also laughs too much. like calm down.

HAKKAI does it cause taka-chan does. he did at the start now probably does it more than him. but he also only does it with people, unless he wants a late night one then will do it himself. probably like 4 times a week. prefers joints but can’t roll for the sake of his life so gets someone else to for him. loves doing it with baji r fuyu jc they’re so funny to be around. eats his whole body weight in chocolate or ramen. HE TURNS INTO A WHORE!!!! thinks about all that shit sm when he’s high.

MIKEY found shinichiro’s stash and proceeds to investigate it with draken. that’s how they got introduced to it. doesn’t do it that often but only does it with kenchin. blunt r bong kinda guy. questions life then cries laughing in the same minute. feasts on snacks only. FEASTS!!!!

NAHOYA you.. you’re going to tell me. HE. Baji, he's badly wounded right now. He confronted the men from the other gang that had disrespected Mikey, and he got beat up, pretty badly. It's so bad we needed to take him to the hospital. I can't really tell you not to panic or worry, but please try to stay as calm as you can. We got him. We'll look after him until you can come.

So there you are contemplating whether you should be relieved that you had read it right away or maybe you should've just read it after the exams so that you wouldn't feel like just fleeing right now. You never answered an exam so fast in your life.

After what seems like an eternity, the papers are finally submitted and you're dismissed. You fled the classroom in a flash, not even bothering to put your stuff back in your bag properly.

You power walked to the hospital, your heart pounding hard through your chest as if it's about to jump out. On your way there, there is nothing on your mind but Baji being in a fucked up state right now, because they don't usually have to be taken to the hospital. Even if they're all messed up they never really get patched up in the hospital, so Baji being admitted to the hospital means he's just NOT OKAY. He might just be in a gruesome state.

"You better be fucking okay or I'll beat you up even more." You mumbled through gritted teeth, sniffling, holding back the tears threatening to fall.

When you finally got to the hospital and got that hospital scent, shivers ran down your spine. You hate hospitals.

When you got to the floor he's in you saw the members all waiting outside the emergency room.

"Y/n!" Emma called, ushering you.

"He's in there right now. He's in really bad shape, I'm gonna be honest with you. He could barely breathe on his own when we saw him. But thankfully, we got to him quickly so we were able to get him here right away. You okay?" Mikey filled you in, holding you by the shoulders. You looked back at him, nodding, not really showing much emotions because honestly you're lost right now. You don't know which emotion to feel.

He could barely breathe. That played in your mind nonstop, making you just want to drop down to the floor and weep. But you can't be a weeping mess when he's fighting for his life inside. You have to be strong, so you can punch him in the face when you get to him. How stupid to confront those men by himself.

You looked around the guys, some of them giving you worried looks in which you returned with a weak smile, nodding at them to assure them you're fine. You're fucking not. You're far from it.

Your eyes fell on Chifuyu who's sitting on the ground, head hanging low. He's the only one who didn't greet you, when usually he'd be the first one to do so. You walked to him and sat beside him on the floor.

"Are you okay?" You asked the blonde who's literally burning holes on the ground by how intense he's looking at it.

His features softened when he heard you. He slowly looked at you, giving you a defeated look. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect and help him. I should've been there with him. I didn't know." He said, almost choking as he fought the tears.

You brought your hand to his head, caressing it lightly. “Nobody knew, so don't beat yourself up for it. Let’s be strong and beat him together when he’s better, then let's share peyoung noodles by ourselves, how about that?” Chifuyu instantly lit up, nodding his head like an excited puppy who’s owner just came home.

You guys waited for hours, which felt like an eternity. Some guys were eventually dismissed by Mikey though they didn't want to leave, since you guys were cramming the waiting area.

You just sat there in silence, not being your usual loud and talkative self. I mean, how could you? That very stupid, hard headed guy who you love so much is in the emergency room in whatever fucked up state he's in.

"Who are the relatives of Keisuke Baji?" A doctor finally came out, looking around the room.

All of you stood up, looking at the doctor expectantly. The group made way for Mikey, Chifuyu, and you to step up to the doctor. "We all are." Mikey answered for all of you.

"Well" The doctor cleared his throat. "He was in such a bad condition when you admitted him, which is why it took quite some time to tend to him. There was a moment when he couldn't breath by himself and his pulse was too weak."

Every single one of you looked down, Emma and some men including Chifuyu started tearing up. There's really nothing you can hear but the doctor flipping through the pages on his board and their sniffling.

"H-how is he now?" You found the courage to speak up. Your voice never sounded so low, so weak, and fragile. Lord knows you're more than ready to have a breakdown right now. But you just have to find out this instant how he's doing, because one more moment of not knowing might just make your head explode.

"He's not in the best condition." The doctor announced. If your heart had already sunk earlier, now your heart feels as if it's just been shattered.

"He's got bruises all over his body as well as broken bones. He's probably not gonna be able to move or do very physical activities for quite some time. But he's a lucky guy. Though bruised up and fractured, we didn't see any serious problems that might put his health at risk, and that's because you were able to admit him here right away. He just needs to rest up and let his wounds and injuries heal."

There it is, the rainbow after the storm, the light at the end of the tunnel.

A breath all of you unknowingly had been holding was released all at once. The sad cries are now replaced with happy ones. You engulfed Chifuyu in a warm hug, keeping him up for his legs had given up on him. You eventually felt a tap on your shoulder, and when you looked back it was Mikey.

"Doctor said we can go check on him now. You should go." He smiled at you and you gave him back a smile, understanding what he's trying to say.

"Fuyu, wanna come with me?" You looked back at Chifuyu just as you were about to enter Baji's room.

"You should go" Chifuyu gave you a knowing smile. You smiled weakly at all of them and they returned it with nods of encouragement and reassurances.

You took a deep breath, trying to clear your mind before entering fully.

There he lies, whole body, from head to toe wrapped in gauze. If this were any other occasion that isn't serious you would have probably even joked that he looked like a mummy.

He instantly felt your presence so he whipped his head towards your direction, briefly forgetting that he's in no good state so he ended up wincing from the sore neck.

"Take it easy there" You made your way to him, voice filled with concern.

He just gave you one of his strong stares, almost like a glare, not saying a word.

"A-are you feeling much better--"

"I am, stop worrying." He said in an almost annoyed tone, turning his head to the side to avoid your gaze. Which confused you. Why's he acting this way? Is he in any position to even act this way?

"What's the problem, Baji?" You asked as calmly as you can because the last thing you want is to fight him in his current situation.

He clicked his tongue, confirming that he was annoyed. "Just leave me alone" He said in a very dismissive way that really made you stare at him in shock.

You didn't move. You don't even feel like you're breathing. You just looked at him trying to decipher the situation in front of you, trying to decipher him.

All the emotions you’ve been trying hard to control have just sprung free, not giving you any more chance to control them. You’re starting to get so overwhelmed that you didn't even realize that tears are falling down your eyes. You only realized it yourself when you heard your own sob escape your lips.

Baji looked at you in a flash when he heard that sound. A sound he's never heard from you before. When he looked at you, you were dropping to your knees as you sobbed uncontrollably.

This is the first time he's seeing you cry and he hates it already.

All the attitude, annoyance, and frustrations he has was suddenly washed away with panic. He tried propping himself up but he physically just can't. The sound of your sobs is so painful that it feels as though he's being stabbed in the heart.

"Y-Y/n, w-why-- I-I" He stuttered, unable to speak properly.

You looked up at him from the ground, vision cloudy because of the tears pooling on your eyes. "D-don't ask me to leave you alone, Baji. Not wh-when I felt like I was g-gonna die when I found out y-you're hurt." You sobbed harder. "I was w-worried sick, Baji! When I found out about you being beaten up there's nothing else I want to do but be where you are and save you. I wanted to leave everything earlier, it took everything in me to not storm out of the classroom to get to you. My fucking world COLLAPSED, I was scared as shit, just imagining you fucking beaten black and blue. Imagining you heaving for fucking air while you lay on the cold, hard concrete fucking broke my heart. I was shattered completely because there's a small voice in my head that says I can lose you. AND I DON'T WANT TO FUCKING LOSE YOU. You're the only one I've ever loved like this, so If I were to lose you how am I going to continue living? I don't want to be in a lifetime without you in it, because then I'd just be existing, not living." You looked into his eyes, tears still falling from yours. He's also got tears running down his cheeks as he laid flat on the bed, can't really do anything because his body wouldn't let him. All he could do was cry out as he felt the guilt creep up his chest, swallowing his heart whole.

No words were said nor exchanged for a while after that. The only sound to be heard in the room are both of your small sobs, sniffling, and the beeps from the monitors connected to him.

“Come here.” Was the first thing he said when he managed to calm down a bit.

You slowly looked up from the floor, wiping your tears as you blink the remaining tears on your eyes away. He just looked down at you waiting for you. You didn’t ask anymore, you just stood up and walked to the side of his bed, towering over him.

He patted his chest looking at you with guilt. You didn’t put up a fight and gently laid your head on his chest, carefully wrapping your arms on his torso. This is what you’ve been meaning to do ever since you laid eyes on him. This is what you’ve been wanting to feel, his warmth and his beating heart giving you the reassurance that he’s right here.

“I-I’m very sorry” He breathed out, voice shaky. “I shouldn’t have acted like that, it was very immature. I just hate worrying people and I saw it all over your face when you came in. But what I hate even more is seeing you cry, and knowing that it’s because of me broke me even more. I’m so sorry for worrying you, for making you feel helpless, and for making you cry. I love you.”

You just sobbed on his chest, nuzzling more onto them as he wrapped one of his arms around your torso and the other to your head. Feeling his gentle breathing and the beat of his heart under you instantly washed all your worries away.

“I love you too.” You said, lifting your head, kissing the hand he has on your head before resting your chin on his chest so you can look at him. “Don’t do that shit again, Baji. You’re in a gang for a reason, you have like a hundred other guys with you so you should’ve asked for their help or talked to them about it first. I know you got offended on behalf of Mikey but I'm pretty sure he didn’t want you ending up in this state for him. This is seriously a stupid stunt. You even made Fuyu cry, you jerk!” You fully stood up, hitting him lightly on the chest. Light but hard enough for it to hurt, because you want that shit to hurt.

“OWWW!” He yelled. You just rolled your eyes at him, but then brushed some hair out of his face.

“I’m serious, don’t do that again.” You said, looking deeply into his deep dark eyes. He nodded at you leaning on your hand that’s still brushing his hair. “Promise?”

He tugged on your hand and connected your lips. Your lips danced slowly yet passionately. Everything else that he can’t put into words you completely felt through the kiss. “Promise” He breathed out. You gave him a warm smile and stood up straight.

“You better keep that promise because if you don’t expect me to beat you up, and I know Chifuyu wouldn’t think twice helping me”

“You guys are mean” He pouted.

“And you’re stupid” You retorted. Before the conversation could turn into a full blown argument, Chifuyu’s head popped inside the room.

“BAJI-SANNNNN~ Nice to see you’re still intact, considering you’re a dumbass.” Chifuyu chirped, standing beside you making you laugh.

“So everyone’s really gonna slap it to me that I’m stupid huh?” Baji groaned.

“Oh for sure. You’ll probably even get an actual slap from Mikey, maybe even a kick, who knows?” Chifuyu shrugged while lifting a plastic bag. “Y/n, look what I got!” He said fishing out the content inside. You snickered when you figured out what it was and you gave Baji a devilish look.

✨PEYOUNG NOODLES✨

“You know how we plan to share one after we beat him up when he’s all good? Well since it’ll take time for us to beat him up, might as well eat now since he did exhaust us” Chifuyu grinned and you pat his head, giving him a proud parent look.

“Good call, Fuyu! Let’s eat!” You chirped.

“You guys aren’t seriously going to eat that in front of me right?” Baji gave you and Chifuyu a desperate look but you two just shrugged.

“ITADAKIMASU!!!” You and Chifuyu exclaimed, digging into your shared peyoung noodles.

“I’d rather be beaten up by those guys again than endure this torture. You spawns of the devil!” Baji groaned.

BnHA Chapter 302: As the Todoroki Turns

Previously on BnHA:

Today on BnHA: We have a very fun chapter in which (1) Shouto grows up lonely on account of his parents being worried that his siblings will literally try to kill him, (2) Natsu and Fuyu grow up neglected on account of not being special and/or self-destructive enough to attract attention, (3) we get to revisit all of that exciting spousal abuse from chapter 39, and (4) Touya burns to death right on cue, pretty much exactly like we expected it to happen. Thankfully since this is a shounen manga, Horikoshi finds some hope in all this misery as the Todoroki family rallies together, with Shouto getting his long-overdue credit for being a perfect sweet angel who put up with all of this shit for sixteen years and somehow came out of it strong and kind and empathetic and determined. Anyway, so that flashback was a barrel of laughs. But now that it’s over, we can put all of that angst behind us, and move on to... well I guess, probably, more angst. Look, we’re short on variety at the moment. Bear with it.

A+ parenting move there. “ho boy, our eldest just tried to murder our youngest, now what? hmm how about we isolate our youngest from all human contact”

though in their defense, we probably shouldn’t have expected this rabidly strength-obsessed fire man and his wife who was groomed since childhood to obey her family’s whims to have any idea of how to raise stable, well-adjusted offspring

SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS

this is a perfect example of Enji’s tragically self-revolving viewpoint right here. just because being a hero is your entire world doesn’t mean you can just excuse yourself from anything outside of that and act like it’s out of your control. “alas, all I care about is hero stuff and my son can’t be a hero, we are doomed to inhabit two different worlds” no you jackass, it’s called having more than one hobby?? figuring out how to spend some time with your son that doesn’t involve training?? the same exact thing you were telling him to do last week, while ignoring that you’ve never done that yourself in your life??

that said, yet again we have that complexity though because it’s obvious that Enji at least on some level is aware of his own flaws, even though he seems unwilling or unable to confront them. honestly, from what we’ve seen so far, Enji’s obsession with surpassing All Might might be more accurately called an addiction. he literally can’t let go of it even though he’s fully aware of how it’s slowly destroying his life. and so in the same way that a lifelong smoker or alcoholic might tell their child to stay away from cigarettes and booze, Enji tells Touya not to follow down the same path as him, even though he himself doesn’t know how to leave that path. so yes, it’s hypocritical as fuck, but there’s also an element of helplessness there as well because Enji literally doesn’t know how not to be like this

though all the same he sure could stand to put in more than just a token effort. but it is what it is, and we already know how much he’ll come to regret it

and meanwhile Baby Shouto has frozen his sleep bubble with his quirk lmao. so I guess his quirk did come in early. that’s a recipe for chaos right there

once again Shouto is ruining every single dramatic panel in this flashback

this was so dark and intense... and then I spotted the lil bubs in the corner. Horikoshi please control yourself

“some hero you are, running away” and then all of a sudden, “FIVE YEARS LATER” lol what. OKAY THEN

(ETA: love the confirmation that eight-year-old Natsu comes from the Iida school of puberty and is basically a fully grown man, and meanwhile Touya comes from the hobbit school of puberty and has been perpetually eight for the past five years.)

“HEY BIG BRO WANNA COME RECREATE AN ICONIC FLASHBACK SCENE WITH US. WE’VE GOT THE SOCCER BALL RIGHT HERE, BUT HURRY UP OR WE’LL BE TOO LATE FOR SHOUTO TO WALK ON BY AND STOP TO LOOK”

lol and that’s literally the next three panels. but Horikoshi did add this extra bit after Endeavor starts to drag Shouto away

seriously Enji what the hell did you expect was going to happen here. “Touya went nuts and tried to kill his little brother out of jealousy, so let’s make it clearer than ever that Shouto is the important child and all the other children are just rejects. this will definitely not make the problem 100x worse, and will surely lead to Touya giving up and living a happy life, having been emotionally abandoned by the person he admired more than anyone.” good for you pal you figured it all out. no need for that plan b, “we all just go to therapy”

anyway so he’s telling Shouto he can’t play because he needs more endurance training. and meanwhile Touya’s patented Todoroki Drama Genes are going through puberty as well

definitely the face of a happy, emotionally stable child who’s not still plotting to murder his younger brother in his sleep

“WELL ACTUALLY MAKESTE” lol I stand corrected??

apparently during the five year interim Touya actually stopped blaming Shouto and realized Enji was the one at fault. good for him! a bit inconsistent, given what we know happens later, but I assume we’ll get to that in good time

anyway. “yeah man I agree that dad sucks, but it’s the middle of the night and I’m only eight and you’ve been monologuing for the past two hours bro”

the manga is making my jokes for me, only better. fine then

looks like someone’s still miffed about that disagreement he had with his baby sister back when she was like four

“Fuyu doesn’t get properly riled up like I want her to so ranting to her is annoying.” okay but having been in Fuyu’s shoes, it really is just a different way of coping, and I can guarantee she’s not as fine with the whole situation as Touya might think. but making your peace with something is often a decision that’s made for emotional self-preservation reasons. and I sure as hell don’t fault her for trying to shut out a situation that she had no control over, and trying to make the best of it, and scrape together as normal a childhood as she could manage

and now in Touya’s defense as well, that is of course easier said than done, and I’m sure if there was a “push this button and instantly get over all of the trauma in your life” switch readily available for Touya then he would have pushed it too. unfortunately it’s not always that simple

so now Rei is pleading with Touya not to go train up on his little emo hill again, but it doesn’t seem like much has changed since he was eight

I don’t think he gives two figs about being a hero; he just wants his father to look at him again with pride. fucking hell, stop doing this to me you damn Todorokis

guh, they keep telling him the same thing over and over again

even if we hadn’t already known he was gonna go melt his jawbone off soon, I wouldn’t have expected a line like that to go over well

yep. fuck

that Todoroki puberty angst, though. nothing else quite like it

“you have a part in this too, Mom” ooooooh man

okay but look, he’s not entirely wrong. like, I’m not saying any of this is Rei’s fault at all! she’s in an impossible situation where she’s afraid to stand up to Enji (who by this point has shown that he’s willing to physically attack her if things get too heated, which is terrifying), and doesn’t really have anywhere to turn for support. her parents aren’t helping much if at all, and Japan in general is just a terrible country to be in when you’re in a domestic abuse situation. everyone’s expected to put on a brave face and deal with their problems all on their own in private. Rei is basically completely isolated at this point, and she doesn’t know what else to do, and so she’s just trying to keep the situation as stable as possible for the kids

but on the other hand, “for the kids” is also where that argument starts to break down a bit, because at this point Shouto is also being physically abused by his father, and the other kids are continuing to be neglected (emotionally if not physically), as they have been for years. so the situation really isn’t stable at all for them. and as a kid, what you end up learning in that type of situation is that you can’t rely on either parent. not the abusive one, certainly, but also not the other one who can’t protect you from any of it. even if they love you and they’re trying, they’re just as helpless as you. Rei is struggling to deal with all of this with one hand tied behind her back, and I get it, and I’m not blaming her at all. but all the same, particularly given that she’s (understandably) putting almost all her focus on Shouto, the end result is that the other kids have basically been left to fend for themselves

so yeah! a shitty situation all around. and one of those cases where it’s not really anyone’s fault (aside from Enji’s), but I can understand the resentment Touya is feeling all the same. and I’m so glad Horikoshi is acknowledging this, because it’s something I probably would have been too uncomfortable to bring up otherwise. as it is it’s still an incredibly heavy subject, and one that I probably have too many personal feelings about

anyway, so once again the whole “we’ll try talking to him and then just shrug our shoulders when it doesn’t work” parenting strategy doesn’t really pan out for the Todoroki fam

sob this boy is Anakin Skywalkering before our very eyes. all that’s missing is AFO to come and start whispering in his ear. any minute now...

“anyway so then he got taller and his fire changed from red to blue”

guess we’re getting pretty close then huh. this is the part of the flashback that I really don’t want to see, but also unfortunately the part that I’m most curious about :/

oh thank god, they decided it was getting too intense and cut away back to the present to narrate this next (final?) part

get ready to cue up that Alicia Keys. THIS BOY IS ON FIREEEEEEE

yeah I think that’s one thing we can mostly all agree on. neither of them had any clue what the fuck they were doing pretty much at any point. though I will say that the hypocrisy of him being all “WHY DIDN’T YOU STOP HIM” followed by him IMMEDIATELY DOING THE EXACT SAME THING is a bit rich

(ETA: and he still has this problem, doesn’t he? he froze up when Ending snatched Natsuo, and again when Dabi was attacking Shouto. he’s so afraid of doing the wrong thing that he ends up not doing anything, which of course is exactly what led to Touya’s death. damn Enji I guess you’ve still got some additional character development to unlock.)

and of course neither of them could possibly have known how badly it was going to turn out. like, the consequences here were WAY disproportionate even for the shittiest of parenting. no one expects “I didn’t know how to talk to my son” to snowball into “my son burned to death and then somehow came back as a villain and murdered thirty people”

ohhhhhhhh fuck me

LITERALLY INCINERATED THE ENTIRE HILLSIDE. fuck. and I am so not ready for the scene of Enji finding the remains of his jawbone afterwards. at least we were spared anything super-graphic (for now at least)

I feel like the timeline here is off, btw?? wasn’t Touya’s death supposed to happen after Rei got hospitalized? this might be the first actual retcon of the entire flashback. although I think it makes more sense this way tbh

I do appreciate that ten years later Enji is finally reflecting on the fact that if he’d just given up his stupid obsession he could have stopped his family from crumbling apart. that probably sounds sarcastic as fuck, but it’s not. there are countless jerks out there who would have still managed to find a way to blame literally everyone and everything under the sun except for themselves. at least he finally figured out how to take responsibility, even if it came too late to stop his son from dying and being radicalized into a villain terrorist organization

and speaking of, it seems to me we’re missing a third and final part to this little tale of woe, and one which only Touya himself will be able to shed any light on. so we’ll see how that goes

oh man seeing the other kids blaming themselves even though none of it was their fault hits hard af. Rei wasn’t kidding when she said they’d been bearing that burden of guilt far longer than Enji

SHOUTO I SWEAR TO GOD IF THE NEXT PANEL IS YOU APOLOGIZING FOR BEING BORN, I WILL... WELL I’LL BE VERY SAD, I GUESS. SO DON’T DO IT

imagine that. talking things out with your child before they make a rash decision. looks like the Todorokis’ parenting skills are finally leveling up

holy shit. this is the most quintessential moment of father/son Todoroki bonding in the entire series. for me it even tops the “nice scar” scene lol. Enji sobbing at the fact that he still has a chance to set things right. and Shouto offering his hand in what is actually the most mature and selfless gesture I’ve ever seen, and being all “we’ll stop him together” to his dad who he hates, but also doesn’t really entirely hate anymore. and all of that is incredibly moving... BUT ALSO HE STILL REFUSES TO MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH HIM AND HE WOULD LIKE HIM TO STOP BEING SO FUCKING DRAMATIC ALREADY IF YOU DON’T MIND. “WHEN YOU’RE DONE CRYING...” fkjldsk

Hajime, Nagito, and Fuyuhiko with an S/O who’s scared of spiders

Hajime

You shivered as you felt the fear upon you. "BABE!!! COME HERE PLEASE!!!" You shouted as you crawl to the corner end of the bed, ready to jump away if the spider reached you. "BABE!! PLEASE!! COME QUICKLY!!!!" You tried to find something to smack it with, so you decided to grab the bedside lamp.

After school, you and Hajime decided to chill in his house. And so here you were, scrolling through your phone, laying on his bed while waiting for him. He's currently cooking food for the both of you after a tiring day at school.

You were just humming a tune, feeling happy because it has been a while since you both hang out! But that happiness has come to a stop due to a predicament...

There was a spider. Near the door and nearing the bed.

Hajime barged into the room, holding a pan, ready to smack the living shit out of someone. "Babe, I'm here. What's wrong? What happened? Is there a burglar or something? Are you okay?" He bombarded you with questions, slightly panicking. "THE-THERES A-A SPIDER O-OVER THERE..!" You managed to stutter out as you pointed the lamp, that you were holding, towards the spider.

He looked at where you were pointing and sighed. "I thought it was something serious! Don't worry babe, I'll go get a cup and try to get it out," He chuckled as he attempted to go get a cup. "NO! PLEASE STAY! IT'S COMING TOWARDS ME! KILL IT RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!" He scratched his head and then just nodded in response. He was gripping on the pan so that he can hit and kill the spider right away.

He slowly approached it, looking at you seriously. 'Are you ready?' He mouthed in which you nodded. He was about to hit it but then it jumped on his shoulder which made him scream and jumped up and down. You also screamed and hid yourself in the blankets.

The spider left without either of you noticing while the both of you kept on screaming and panicking.

Nagito

It was just a normal day, or so you thought.

You were preparing yourself as you've got a date somewhere with your boyfriend, Nagito. It's been a while since you both hang out like this, since you've both been busy with things.

'Huh, Nagito's pretty early today,' You thought as you heard him calling your name outside, followed by a knock.

"I missed you so much, my love!" He immediately greeted once you opened the door. "I missed you too, Nagito! But um, can you wait for a bit? I'm a little slow when it comes to preparing," You chuckled, inviting him inside. "Ah, sorry, my hope! I shouldn't have gone early... I'm sorry you have to rush yourself for a sc-" "Nonono, baby, don't finish that sentence! I love you, alright? And I really don't mind that you're early!" You hugged him, "Now, I'll be quick, alright? Go make yourself at home!"

You quickly ran up to your room and did your thing. After you finished, you looked at yourself in the mirror, checking if you forgot something. You were supposed to grab your purse/bag on your bed until you saw it. A spider. A big one too.

You were stuck in place, afraid to move as if you did, it might run towards you, and you're definitely not dealing with that! IT'S ALREADY MOVING SLOWLY TOWARDS YOU OH GOD

So you thought of something that might help you. "N-NAGITO!!!!!!" You cried loudly, hoping he would be able to help you with this 'problem'. You heard shuffling and falling (?) when your loving boyfriend finally burst through the door.

"My hope? Are you okay? Are you hurt? What happened?" He immediately ran towards you and holds you, seeing your scared, semi-frozen state. "I-i'm fine... It's just that... S-spider..." You stuttered, eyes never leaving the unwanted insect that lays on your purse/bag.

Nagito followed your line of sight, chuckling as he scooped the spider with his bare hands... HE SCOOPED THE SPIDER WITH HIS BARE HANDS? WHAT?

"You mean this little guy?"

You watched as he set the spider out through your window, the smile never leaving his beautiful face. "Well, it's gone now, my hope! Ah, I'm gonna go wash my hands..."

"Please... How the hell did you manage to hold that spider?" You leaned on the doorway of the bathroom, watching Nagito wash his hands as he smiled at you softly through the mirror. "I don't really know, S/O, but it's gone now! You don't have to worry about it anymore! Ah, do you want me to wash your purse/bag as well?"

"O-oh! No need, babe! Anyways, are you ready for the date? I think we should just go and leave this house... Maybe more spiders reside somewhere... here..." You shivered at the thought as Nagito held your hand (with his now clean hands), leading you outside your house.

Needless to say, despite that spider incident, all went well with your date!

Fuyuhiko

It was the day of your anniversary. You and Fuyuhiko thought to go have dinner on his private yacht. Well, it was his idea to do it on his yacht while you only wanted to have dinner on a fancy restaurant or something. He said that he'll pick you up at night. So you prepared yourself. You wore the the best clothes that you had and made sure you smelled expensive.

It was almost time for him to come and as if on cue, the doorbell rang when you finished. You were about to answer but you completely forgot fixing you hair so you went in front of the mirror and was about to fix it. But you were stuck frozen upon what you saw...

There's a spider. Right in front of you. On the mirror.

You couldn't move because of fear and could only shout for Fuyuhiko. "B-BABE!!! FUYU!!! PLEASE COME INSIDE A-AND COME UPSTAIRS!!! RIGHT NOW!!" You shouted as loud as you could while being stuck in place, looking at the spider while it also probably looks back straight at you.

You heard loud and fast footsteps coming from your back and shouting. "S/O?! S/O?! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" "I-INSIDE M-MY RO-OM!! PLEASE HURRY!!!" Fuyuhiko then rushes towards your room then holds both of your shoulders. He then dragged you backwards outside of your room and took cover while holding out a gun. Where'd he get that, no one will know ig

He then whistled to which made Peko dash inside your room to scan the room. "Are you okay? What happened? Did someone tried to kidnap you? Or assassinate you? Tell me who it was." Fuyuhiko bombarded you with questions while you try to process what's happening. You were still shocked and afraid because of one event after the other. You took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. You then explained to him what happened.

He burst into fits of laughter because of it.

"Are you shitting me? A fucking spider? C'mon S/O, it's just a little bug. Why are you afraid of it?" He continued laughing while you pouted. "Fuck you! Some people are afraid of them, okay?! I know I'm not the only one!" You defended yourself while he kept on laughing.

As you scolded and continued shouting at your boyfriend, Peko then came out, holding her sword, staring at it and not paying attention to the both of you. You were both confused because of how she was behaving. "Um... Peko? What happened?" She suddenly snapped out of it and looked at Fuyu and you. "Oh, young master. There were no threats at the area. I scouted them just like what you said."

"Oh, it's fine, Peko. It was a misunderstanding, you see S/O here was ac-" he was about to chuckle when he suddenly saw a spider at the tip of Peko's sword. He was completely frozen and couldn't finish his sentence. "P-peko? Wha-what the f-fuck is tha-that?"

"Oh this? I saw it on the mirror. I thought it was cute so I tried to catch it, but to my surprise, it actually went and jumped on my sword."

"Co-cool, can you uh. Please make it go away now. Like right now. Now, now. Now!" You were confused as to why Fuyu was acting this way when you realize something. "Peko, can you please come here for a sec? I wanna ask you something..." Even though you were scared shitless, you still tried to remain calm. Fuyu then looked at you then at Peko with terror in his eyes. He slowly backed away as Peko approached both of you. As she approached you, the spider suddenly jumped off the sword and came running towards you. You were about to scream when you felt a sudden tug on your wrist. You looked at who was pulling you and saw Fuyu running for his life and shouting "PEKO!!! PLEASE MAKE IT FUCKING STAY AWAAAYYYY!!!!!"

The both of you rushed towards the car while Peko was confused, holding the spider due to what happened. Though it became a disaster, the date went well but you kept on teasing Fuyu the whole night and Peko made a new pet! You and Fuyuhiko wasn't fond of him though but if it makes her happy then you both let her be.

Am I really just gonna toss all my ideas into the void like this? yeah....

ANYWAY Komahina Camping Trip

The DR2 cast has to go on a Camping Trip on a brand new island. Except there are only twelve tents for the class of sixteen.

So Komaeda suggests that everyone draws straws to see who has to share a tent. Komaeda, Kazuichi, Mikan, and Mahiru all get the short end of the stick and are left without tents.

Komaeda graciously offers to just sleep outside so no one has to sleep with him but Hajime stomps that idea flat because he doesn’t want him sleeping outside so Komaeda bunks with him. How lucky :)

Kazuichi ends up BEGGING Fuyuhiko to let him stay because he refuses to bunk with Teruteru for obvious reasons, he refuses to bunk with Gundham for simping reasons, he can’t sleep with Byakuya because he won’t let him and Nekomaru would probably crush him in his sleep. After whining about it for like two hours Fuyu caves.

Mikan ends up getting adopted by Ibuki almost immediately and she has no way out of it despite her very obvious fluster

If Mikan got adopted then Mahiru gets sacrificed. Hiyoko basically volunteered Mahiru for her tent mate and that’s that. No arguments or she’ll scream loud enough to ruin everyone’s ears.

Now onto the komahina.

The shtick here is that Hinata is actually a really wild sleeper. He tosses and turns and kicks and flails his arms around. What awful luck for our Hope man :(

Anyway this goes on for a while, Komaeda looking more and more beaten up at breakfast until Sonia finally brings it up on like the third day when he comes to the campfire with a very visible red mark on his face.

Komaeda ends up trying to shrug it off but Chiaki points out he recoiled from her touch almost violently yesterday when she brushed against his side and asked if he had a bruise there as well.

Fuyuhiko asks if he’s being bullied or something and Akane basically jumps up and declares that she’ll beat the snot out of whoever’s been bullying him but everyone figures it’s mostly because she just wants a brawl. Komaeda makes everything worse clears everything up by simply going “Oh, it’s just Hinata-Kun”

Everyone’s super confused and Hajime immediately begins protesting until he actually clears it up by saying “Hinata-Kun is a very wild sleeper is all” Hajime is extremely flustered and tries to chastise him for not saying so sooner but he’s not really taking it very seriously.

Teruteru offers to let Komaeda sleep with him but he is extremely quick to shut down the offer saying “It’s what trash like him deserves” typical Komaeda but Hajime feels sort of guilty.

Even if he’s a bit odd at times Komaeda is always so polite and kind to him so he tries working something out. He spends the day doing his chores with Nanami to try to see if there’s anything he could do to not attack poor Komaeda in his sleep and she suggests sleeping with a pillow or something to hug so his arms and legs are occupied.

He tries it out but Komaeda asks him what he’s up to. He explains his plan to him but Komaeda immediately pulls the pillow out of his grasp, telling him he’ll wind up with a crick in his neck if he sleeps like that. Hajime, now frustrated asks what he’s supposed to sleep with then, and Komaeda offers himself.

“You can’t hurt me if you’re too busy hugging me Hinata-Kun”

Ahhh...Hajime can’t really refute that logic but sleeping with another guy like that is...aaaaand Komaeda is already settled against him. Great. Hajime is too tired to argue and just flops back down to sleep.

Surprisingly when he wakes up, Komaeda is cuddled into his chest and he’s got an arm around him. He also hasn’t budged at all.

And so I get to run wild with my one of my favorite tropes, “sleeping in the same bed”!

Of course they get used to sleeping with one another and the story ends with them continuing to do it when they get back to their cottages because I love my obvious mutual pinning

Imma answer for both!

♉️- Well, truth is we live in a manor/mansion. And we have many servants. Most of our meals are made for us- mostly fancy Japanese dishes. And it would heavily depend on what we’re doing for the day whether or not we eat together. Though there are a few exceptions to making things. Fuyu enjoys baking and it’s something all of us do together at times. Especially in the mornings, where usually we’ll make cinnamon rolls or karinto for each other to enjoy during the day. I’d imagine that all three of us love this little ritual, as if we’re all separated it’d remind us of each other. I also think there’s times where one of us chooses to make something for a special occasion like birthdays or anniversaries.

For Fuyuhiko

I’ve seen people say that Fuyu is extroverted, but they’re completely wrong. Fuyu may not be afraid to speak out/be that shy, but he is very introverted. He doesn’t open up well to people at all, and he tends to enjoy his alone time. Though to him, being with Sal/me doesn’t make any difference. It’s rare that he wants to be away from him/me.

For Kazuichi

Like me I think Kaz is both. Meaning I think he gets energy from socialization, while also getting drained from it. It may be an autism thing, as I’m not sure he even realizes he’s drained from it and needs some time in his workshop or something to recharge. Also like me lol.

♒️- lol this is something I’ve never considered. Us playing a board or card game. Anyway-

For Fuyuhiko

I think Fuyu is averagely competitive. He would enjoy winning and he would try to, as he’s a really good strategist and probably better then me and Kaz at this sort of thing. I think he might let me/Sal win on purpose, especially if he knew I/he was going through something. There’s no way he’d just let Kaz win tho. They’re always teasing each other and bickering in a old couple way.

For Kazuichi

I think he’s pretty much the same tbh. Tho he will be butthurt about losing, and that’s more of a drive to be competitive than the thrill of winning- if that makes sense. He doesn’t love winning he just hates losing, whereas Fuyu likes it when he wins. Hope that makes sense lol. I/Sal could def manipulate Kaz into letting me win, but for the most part he’d want everything to be fair and square. Like Fuyu tho- he’s not letting Fuyu win easily.

Fuyuhiko

Lol of course he has Kokichi convo cuz shared English voice actor (also just realised... both are short characters OMG). Kokichi is pushing his buttons, and Fuyu falls for it COMPLETELY. Also, “Boss Baby”. Wonder how that sounded in Japan, lol.

Lol Yasuhiro actually brings up his trouble with the Yakuza, and tries to flatter Fuyuhiko into getting help. Yeah, it doesn’t exactly work.

Talking to Peko at night, who’s off playing games with Chiaki. She needs to quit the “young master” habit, tho.

Going to Mahiru for advice on talking about photography cuz he has a relative into it? Why do I have a feeling it’s his sister, too?

Komaeda passing on the sports festival cuz it looked too normal for him, but ends up going and dragged along by Fuyu anyway lol.

He gives Kyoko some yakisoba, surprised she’d just be wandering around, but realises she’s enjoying herself in her own way. Kyoko is also surprised she’s approached by him, presumably because she’s a detective and he’s a Yakuza.

OMG Byakuya is offended at being offered food from a food stand, and Fuyu’s all “you’re lucky this is just school and not a Yakuza stand”, while Byakuya’s all “HMPH AS IF I’D LOSE TO YOU”. I love the implication that the Togami Corporation and Kuzuryu Clan would go to war just because two Hope’s Peak students aren’t able to swallow their pride around each other. XD

Oof Fuyu mentions his sister around Rantaro, which makes him go all soft and all “u should really cherish your sister”. Almost a bonding moment, but Fuyu of course wouldn’t let his guard down, even if despite the talk of her being a pain Rantaro could tell he really loves her.

Yasuhiro trying to get on his good side again, but he just pisses him off again. He was basically trying to make Fuyu not have anything done to him lol.

Mahiru... trolling Fuyuhiko? Now that I didn’t expect to see. First she tries to act all stern and remind him to not ditch the Christmas party even if they both know he’s coming. Then she calls his smile childlike, and when he gets angry she even says not to lose it like a child, which really catches him, lol. Kind of a nice side of Mahiru I didn’t expect to see.

Peko mentions she wants to be by his side but affirms it’s what she genuinely wants and isn’t just being a tool, heh.

Peko

Heh, both Peko and Ryoma are cat lovers. Peko’s sad the cat they saw probably ran from her, tho. Kirumi offers to help find it though, and Ryoma joins in. Peko is told to get Gundham and Shuichi to help.

Kyoko and Peko watching their classmates play sport. They try to have some awkward banter before going quiet, lol.

Kaito asks her to cheer at sports so she cheers... very quietly.

Tenko is so gay she can’t handle a stage full of girls. Peko tries to calm her... but she gets nervous too after being called a performer.

Peko catches Junko’s face and recognises it’s different to Mukuro’s, oops.

Mukuro relates to her camera shyness and helps her escape the attention of photographers, heh.

Ibuki is hyped for next Christmas, but more importantly she makes sure Peko agrees to have everyone see each other again.

Peko hangs out with Gonta and Gundham, animal lover gang. Gonta implies he relies on the hamsters to help understand Gundham too?

Akane

Heh, Akane saw one of Himiko’s magic shows with her siblings and they all loved them. Himiko is happy to hear of course, but of course she’s still insistent on IT’S MAGIC.

Impostor is an... eating coach? Food buddy? Well it’s something there I guess. XD

Byakuya walks in after a chat with Impostor and she’s confused, lol.

Aoi is a fellow food buddy too it seems, Akane actually tells her to just eat as much as she wants and not worry about herself. :P

Nekomaru says they have to make a formal agreement to continue working together after school ends, but hey it all works out, they just seem glad they can still work and support each other.

Akane and Teruteru seem to get along well, not surprised. One loves cooking, one loves eating. I’m amazed at how... restrained Teruteru seems around her, though.

Akane still duking it out with Sakura, and she seems to be slowly getting better overtime. Sakura seems to enjoy having her around too, mentioning she likes her fighting spirit.

Nekomaru

Lol his sprite shakes on his intro.

Nekomaru actually met Sakura before before Hope’s Peak, interesting. Something about training in the mountains? He will continue to support her if she needs it to.

Monomi asks Nekomaru to become stronger to stop putting up with Monokuma’s abuse, but somehow it derails into whether Monokuma’s even her sister or not, lol.

Holy shit a Tenko interaction, this was legit interesting. Tenko ends up being legitimately torn - she stubbornly refuses help because Nekomaru’s male, but she seems to realise that if she doesn’t, Neo-Aikido will stagnate. Nekomaru just wants to help her out, but she’s making it all complicated. They’re both such hams too.

Nekomaru and Gonta get along pretty well. Friendship I never knew I wanted to see but glad I now have.

Taka and Nekomaru seem to enjoy and respect each other, I can see that TBH.

Nekomaru does “it” to Sakura. That is all.

More Nekomaru and Gonta bonding. :) Also Gonta has a friend who plays rugby apparently? But yeah, guess Gonta’s gonna learn some rugby with Nekomaru.

Nekomaru chats with Taka, but Taka’s all “GYM CLOTHES ARE NOT WELCOME IN A SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT”. Nekomaru mentions it’s for spontaneous Akane training, to which Taka responds by saying said training is... yeah.

Hmm, wonder if Nekomaru and Kaito could ever talk about training. Something for DRS perhaps.

Kazuichi

Great, his mind already wanders to dirty places with Chihiro.

Well the Keebo interaction sure was something. Keebo goes from being disturbed at how Kaz is trying to pull him apart, to incredibly flattered and grateful that he finds him interesting... then back to freaking out cuz Kaz still wants to pick him apart to analyse him.

Miu seems to want his attention, heh. Like, she’s actually pretty mild with the insults and even sorta backhandedly complimenting him. Maybe she sees a fellow mechanic and horndog and thinks he might be a good match. :P Of course, Kazuichi is too much of a SIMP for Sonia to even consider her as an option, welp.

Monokuma cockblocking Kazuichi. I have never been so happy to see Monokuma in my entire life. Okay he seems to be causing general disorder, but I’ll take what I can get.

Oh great, more Sonia SIMPing. At least she appears when Gundham is there and she only acknowledges Kazuichi when she’s pretty much forced to, lol.

Byakuya insults the stand he’s at, and Kaz takes it as long as it’s not about MISS SONIA. Sigh.

Kaz talks to Miu again. One again, Miu’s all boasting about how hot she is and Kaz isn’t buying it. He’s kinda happy to see her around though, it helps him stop worrying about graduation for a bit. TBH I weirdly kinda crackship them? I see a weird relationship possibly sparking here. XD

Keebo is sad his class didn’t organise a party like Kaz’s... but Kaz actually says he could try asking everyone anyway? Keebo’s insecure but Kaz actually has good advice and says just go for it and if it’s too hard to talk to everyone specifically, just get someone to help. be prepared this is long and i have a tendency to Ramble and when i say this is the Real Self Indulgent Shit i rly mean it!!

ok so essentially

technically it's like. ok well it could just work in really any setting but it works BEST in medieval / space opera (star wars) and there are specific uhh ways it slots into the star wars universe because u know. go big or go home? it DOES have elements of chinese and japanese culture (mainly in the fashion of the upper castes) but mostly bc u know. Space Colonisation

so ESSENTIALLY there's This Guy and his name is sepehr fainn but he prefers to go by "blue" (or "sek" in kahali, his mother tongue, which also means blue) which is partially bc 1) when he was in the kahali military, he had blue-lacquered armor and 2) he dyes his hair THEE most obnoxious shade of blue to ever exist. i make a lot of picrews of him but it's difficult because he has a lot of non-euro features bc he's the space equivalent of half-korean, half-egyptian and has VERY curly hair so it's usually shaved short on the sides and back and in lots of long, skinny braids on the top and let me tell you. the true test of a picrew's range is whether or not you can make that hairstyle!

long story short, the space opera bullshit wip is blue as the general of the fifth systems army of the GAR because i wanted to write a jedi oc and i wanted to write clone ocs and in the name of efficiency i did both in one go (and also there's no one cited as the leader of the 5th systems army and it's described as a skeleton army and u know what that is the PERFECT setup for this guy)

long story LONG--bullet point backstory bc i don't talk nearly enough abt this guy 8)

- has the most massive mommy issues in existence

- short king (5'7)

- ex-assassin, ex-soldier. see kahal USED to operate in castes (for a couple centuries spanning the time between the two kahali civil wars) and blue was born into the military caste. kahali soldiers operate on the basis of quality over quantity and are essentially highly trained assassins from birth but this is Not a good process

- so blue is born with the force (this is rare in the military caste; kahali does have force wielders, but they almost solely belong to the elite upper caste)

- his mom sends him to the jedi temple in coruscant to learn how best to utilize the force. while there, blue learns about the power of love and friendship, returns to kahal at the young and tender age of 17, and proceeds to overthrow the state with his friends

- returns to coruscant to finish his training, serves as the liaison (along with a few others) between the republic and kahal, which largely remains neutral but has a VERY strong anti-slavery + anti-colonialism stance because Old History Reasons

- general of the 421st and his second is clone commander shrike :)

- other ocs that are kahali that i've probably talked about: kalausi kakudsi, arichizi alttari, mahasim mahsati, formosa fuyue, hassaleh hezeri (blue's padawan!), zhelan nox, adeth del, and the endless parade of leithar nenzes (blue's best friend is 27)

- fun fact! most upper caste names (the long ones) are the names of stars / constellations in other languages :)
