Day four -Witch-

The male reaches out with his pale arms and fondles her long dark brown hair. She does not resist....more she enjoys it... Every night same dream, she gasps awake from in cold sweat. Still feeling cold fingers that linger on her body. Alustriel is a witch. Born one, from the pure unbroken bloodline or as they call it a coven.

In this world, she had to hide what she was. Inquisition would have her burned if they knew what she was. And the mark of what she was, is very visible. The darkening on her hands has begun. The day she cast her first spell her finger turned black, like a burned branch covered with the blackness of the burnt and ash. She always wears gloves or carries her hands hidden in her pockets.

Till that day. She came inside one shop littered with books and stuff that no one should put on a display like that and far from it sell it so casually. But it looked more like an antique store or a junk shop. For a common person who would enter. “Good afternoon,” she said hoping to get some attention from the owner. But no response came so she wandered from shelve to shelve looking over books till she found one approved by the Inquisition? Since when did they approve of witchcraft? Descriptions of rituals to enhance the harvest were interspersed with truly serious, difficult rituals for summoning familiars and shadows, and even the dim lighting in the room did not prevent her from carefully examining the patterns of applying runic symbols, finding runes familiar to her in the small details of the pattern.

"Entertaining reading matter?" A husky voice asked

Alustriel almost jumped jerking her head towards the voice. How she didn't feel him at all? A tall, dark figure stood in the aisle behind the counter, hiding in the shadows, but the silhouette was clearly visible - the man leaned his shoulder against the doorway and, folding his arms across his chest, watched her with piqued interest. Her eyes went wide it was him, the pale man from her nightmares. And it seemed that he...how ...how did he summon her here? What is he? A warlock, demon, or witch doctor? Alchemist perhaps?

"How do you have this book? How do you hide all this from the Inquisition? Mages, witches, and elves are killed on the spot" She held his direct gaze, stubbornly for she knew well the moment she would flinch he would devour her. She was enveloped in a thick, herbal smell, and she turned, looking up at the alchemist, who turned out to be a whole head taller than her. Long pale fingers grabbed the book out of her gloved hand. A vibrating voice said: “You can take the.” “She froze, not knowing where to put her eyes because looking at his face up close was too... intimidating. -"I read it a long time ago anyway,” he grinned. For this confession alone he could have been handed over to the Inquisition.

"Show me your hands." He knew even when she never took off her gloves. For the first time in many years, Alustriel felt what it was like to have an ally. They were not friends, just allies - and even though Orochimaru needed their deal for selfish purposes---She came to his shop every day. He was wearing a robe that hid his entire figure, but she could easily imagine that underneath were long, slender legs, a narrow waist, graceful curve of shoulders: the tunic and trousers that he preferred in everyday life left no room for imagination.

And then for the first time, she realized the difference between a boy and a man. The way he held her the way he put her to lay down into the circle he made out of the goat blood. Female in a circle and male on top of her, feeding on the energy made by the peak of human pleasure. He was an incubus visiting her dreams, till he lured her to this point.

“What are you ...doing" Her words were cut off by the moan that he ripped out of her lips as she felt his wet tongue between her legs. His tongue felt impossibly long. The tongue of a dragon or it was of the snake? Orochimaru kissed her down there in the same fashion as if he would kiss her mouth. Pleasure silenced everything her compass of morality long gone when he nestled himself between her thighs and elivered first thrust. A surprised cry escaped from his mouth. So he too felt the pleasure it was not just simple energy gathering?

She raised her hand, gently running over his face, but the pleasure quickly turned into agony. In the next second, he had her pinned. A hissing sound came past his lips as he opened his mouth revealing tow sharp glistering fangs.

"Witch is only sourceable during sexual intercourse" He sank his teeth into her neck, and the cracking sound made her eyes water with tears, she was sure that he would brak her neck or eat her way through it. Searing hot pain burned through her veins...

Hot.....

It's so hot.... The heat...

"Stay Back!"

Power....

It's setting my body ablaze....

And thus the Snake's daughter was born....

Impressions on Jujutsu Kaisen S1-S2

(In no particular order)

(Because I felt like it)

So I got up to date on the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, mostly for lack of something to watch, and found it interesting. Partially because of its popularity (#1 on Crunchyroll in Dec. 2023). S2 is just about complete at this time and as others have remarked, there's a pretty big tone shift between S1 and S2.

As someone who spent their teen and college years enjoying Shounen series like Naruto and Bleach, who used to be much deeper into anime from about 2000-2010, it's interesting to see the way the Shounen genre has "evolved" from what I knew when I was more a part of the teen/early 20s target audience.

(Cut for spoilers beyond this point.)

First of all, it might even be a misnomer to call JJK purely shounen. The tone shift in S2 takes it to some pretty violent places. Places that seem in excess of, say, Naruto's peak violence. That said, I'm not entirely sure JJK deserves the genre of "seinin" exactly, because its plot structure is still pretty grounded in Shounen action/adventure.

Thing is, for all of the increase in violence, I'm not sure the issues the show actually deals with earn it the "seinin" or more "adult" designation just yet. JJK, so far at least, to me seems to struggle with being "about" something more than its premise. For example, the magical powers gained by the girls in Puella Magi Madoka Magica are at least a little bit about the struggles of being a young woman, about growing up, about grief and loss and love. A magical girl "becoming" a witch plays into a larger theme of loss of innocence.

At least as of the end of S2, JJK doesn't exactly have a thing that being a jujutsu sorcerer is actually "about". It's not really a coming of age parallel. It's not really about coming to terms with death (though a lot of death happens). It's still very much about the big fights that are happening. Absorbing Sukuna for Yuji Itadori isn't a metaphor or even lending to a metaphor for anything else except absorbing Sukuna.

This is totally fine by the way! Not everything needs to be "about" something bigger. But, for me at least, the "not being about something bigger" is what's keeping JJK at an A- instead of an A+.

JJK is also strangely lacking in worldbuilding. And I say strangely because it almost feels like it skips the worldbuilding because it's derivatively leaning on the worldbuilding done by other shounen anime. Like, "We don't need to explain how people can randomly jump from tree to tree or hover in the air while fighting, because Naruto already did that. You don't really want us to stop the narrative to explain how Yuji leveled up all these basic magical fighting abilities, right? So don't worry about how he can suddenly do all this stuff."

Literally, Yuji will gain an ability like Black Flash within the course of a single battle. In Bleach or Inuyasha, gaining that sort of ability would take an entire arc and lots of trial and error. So I have mixed feelings about JJK kind of just skipping him struggling to learn Black Flash for any length of time because yeah, that beat can get kind of tiresome in anime. We know they're going to learn the ability, so it's just dragging the process out to make it an entire arc.

But on the other hand, making the gaining of a new ability into an arc lends a certain gravity to the story. A sense of stakes and achievement. Yuji never really struggles to learn any new ability. He picks them up in the course of any given battle (or Sukuna drops in and bails him out).

So in a way, JJK is innovating on the Shounen genre by just skipping a lot of the base level fighting ability arcs and challenges, in order to cut straight through the biggest, most epic battles. There is no little kid level ninja school, our Naruto is fighting Orochimaru-level threats in the middle of S1.

Now, the way the story also innovates on throwing endgame level threats at the hero right away, instead of a bunch of trash to slowly build them up, is by having the bad guys not die in the fight. Bad guys often escape the battle to fight another day. Yes, trash battles happen, but endgame level villains are taking part with surprising regularity for the genre. Aizen from Bleach wasn't showing up for every side character battle that Ichigo fought against him in the lead up to their confrontations. And characters who were defeated didn't really show up again as antagonists, at least not in the Soul Society or Hueco Mondo arcs. They either became allies or they died. So JJK is different in this regard, in a way that's rather refreshing actually.

Now, to go back to worldbuilding, JJK was interesting to me because it started out very authoritative about its genre. It was very paint by numbers standard shounen but so confidently executed that it didn't feel boring. We had lots of shounen genre cliches, like the plucky protagonist with tons of power potential, his dark haired team member who is brooding, the secretly powerful goofy teacher, etc.

But how the JJK universe fits into our world is strangely lacking. Part of it feels purposeful. It's very laser focused on moving the story along. It doesn't really care to answer questions like, "How are these people getting paid?" and "Why is a school tasked with saving the world?" Like, it's basically X-Men rules, so it's fine.

But by contrast, Naruto's ninja villages were an entire ecosystem, we knew how ninjas fit into society and why everyone was doing what they did. We know how Bleach's Soul Society fits into the fabric of the universe. We know how My Hero Academia's world views heroes, a ton of My Hero time is poured into explaining how this world works. JJK... doesn't really bother to say how the world works outside of how it impacts the characters in this moment. It's the thing I find most curiously lacking of all it, and I'm just not quite sure what to make of it.

A few other random thoughts: JJK is fairly refreshing in that it's not totally reductive anime nonsense with regards to women, like having tons of panty shots or whatever. Men still tend to be the most powerful, and it's still a pretty shounen-standard ratio of 2 plot-relevant guys for every 1 woman. But it does view women as people for the most part, so I appreciate that.

But JJK does have some anime nonsense in the sense of people just randomly going "over 9000" with their ability or pulling abilities that no one knew about before that moment out of their ass. I think the show is at its best when it plants its foreshadowing a liiittle further in advance, like when Mahito accidently "touched" Sukuna in that first fight. Everything we needed to know to realize what was going to happen was seeded in advance, and it was a crowning moment of awesome as a result. But besides moments like that, there's a LOT of "Well that didn't work, because I have this secret ability that I'm going to reveal and explain right now!" It's a bit like watching little kids play with action figures in that respect of just randomly having the right tool at the right time.

That said, that sort of "little did you know, I had this secret weapon that easily defeats you that I'm just revealing now!" seems in general more accepted in Japanese storytelling, whereas in Western storytelling the "rule" is more that you need to seed Checkov's gun a lot sooner before you can use it. You can't pull the gun off the mantlepiece to use at the same time you reveal it, it feels cheap. But, since there is a cultural divide between me and the writer, I'm just going to note it as something that pinged me, rather than saying it's good or bad as such. I like foreshadowing that's done further in advance, but that could be a culturally-based preference on my part.

I'm curious where JJK will go next. The violence escalation makes me think either it's going to continue to escalate, or there will be an endgame option to undo all the damage by some magical means at a later date. I'm more than 70/30 thinking it's just going to continue to escalate, but we'll see!

The Odd Similarities between Naruto and Harry Potter

 So I love patterns, but only the ones my brains pick up... so, naturally, instead of something useful I noticed a lot of odd similarities between Naruto ( the original) and Harry Potter. Like a lot... it was disconcerting really... 

Let me just list a few of them. 

The main character looks just like their father with one quality of their mother. Both are orphans and in terms of screen time, daddy dearest gets ten times as much importance with relevant friends and connections born from the dad. Examples being Sirius and Remus, Jiraiya and Kakashi. Both boys are used as a scape goat for a lot of terrible people, and both boys were entirely alone for their youth. Both are marked by their parent's killers, be it Naruto's whisker marks or Harry's Scar.

Both boys make two friends, Sakura and Sasuke and Hermione and Ron at a young age and there is a lot of cross over there as well. Sakura and Hermione are known for their intense intellect and distinctive hair, both are not from a long line of Witches/Ninja and yet both excel when given the chance. Both girls are rude and bossy, though Hermione starts out more useful. Ron and Sasuke are from old lines, both boys look just like the rest of their family and both have self esteem issues to the nth degree. Sasuke and Ron are both poor friends and betray the Main character. 

Then there is Orochimaru and Voldemort, who are almost identical. Both rampant, powerful geniuses that screw everything up, fear death, literally work on immorality by splitting their souls and talking to snakes! Both were tied to the main older leader genius, who in both cases ( Dumbledore and Hiruzen) are really useless at their actual jobs... and neither really care for the main character, using them as a pawn against their enemies. 

Both Harry and Naruto are regularly ignored by the world, mistreated and kind of lazy. Neither really do much on their own, needing others to do most of the work for them until the last stroke. In both cases, their godfathers are sort of useless and see them as more of their parent than they do themselves.

Both Lily and Kushina give their lives, gives of love, are redheaded and are more plot devices than people...which is kind of gross... 

I could really go on, but this would take me hours... Why are they so similar, I mean it is scary how much seems almost borrowed by each story... 

So... yeah!

Okey, listen to me. I had a flash of inspiration today: Naruto into Soul Eater AU! I know I'm not the first one with this idea, but I just had so many ideas for designs and story structure!

So, here are a few basics that I have thought about:

The Kage's are all Shinigami (the world is big, so it's not far-fetched that there are multiple Death Gods running their own schools). This makes Gaara a very young Shinigami (here are the parallels to Death the kid, which I love because in German they have the same dubbing voices).

The Bijuu spirits are demonic weapons that have sought a master after several years or even decades of sealing. Now Naruto must learn to deal with Kurama, even though he did not choose this bond.

Like Black Star, Sasuke is the last descendant of an Assasin clan that was very notorious. Hinata comes from an old family of powerful farsighted weapons. Due to the school's good relationship with this family, Sasuke and Hinata were forced to team up in order to create a strong fighting force and, if possible, the next Deathscythe. I think later in the story they will split up and find new team partners.

Sakura is the rebellious young witch who takes her fate into her own hands and joins the students of the Konoha school. Together they try to minimise the dangerous tensions between witches and humans.

And last but not least, Orochimaru, who I could obviously only mix with Medusa. Somehow they look strangly friendly...

I've got a lot more ideas, so this is definitely not the last post on this AU!

Okay...I know your on break, and you deserve it 100%! You wrote like a million words last year, no exaggeration! but omg, when are you coming back with updates to your fics???

I swear I'm like going through withdrawals! Secrets is my worst addiction!! I never liked Sasuke but you changed my mind on that and i never thought anyone could! I realize now he really was messed up back then, and after everything he went through at that age, and with Orochimaru's curse mark adding to his darkness, of course he went off the deep end!! I'm ashamed I wasn't more compassionate towards him. He lost his whole family, at the hands of his brother, saw his parents bodies and was shown the murder over and over again by his brother, wtf would anyone expect him to do??? He was like 5 or 6 or something right?? Just a baby! He needs to atone, yes but, hating him? Can't do it anymore, makes no sense.

A Cure For Love has become an obsession!!!! I DONT LIKE M/M FANFICTION ESPECUALLY NARUSASU BUT I CANT PUT THIS STORY DOWN!!!! Omg, how the hell did you get me into this???! It should be illegal to be this creative and good at writing! Who said you could write like this???! I actually like SasuNaru now 😭 and Hinata as a badass witch! She bodied a werewolf, vampire and fury all at the same time, omfg she's so awesome!! I cannot wait for the trio between the three of them!! How will those three come together? Sasuke and Hinata are connected through Sasuke's bite now, but what about Naruto? How will he find himself wrapped up in the witch he despises! I need to know!!!! Thats another thing you got me into! Throuples!!! I can totally see NaruHinaSasu as a loving trio, and I love that you don't want make them like obsessed over Hinata only, or have one person left out of the relationship, you adore NaruHina but you also care about SasuHina and NaruSasu. The love will be spread equal and I sooooo love that! I see it already in your Sims 4 posts!! They all love each other, no one is left out, and everyone loves the children no matter who the father is!

I LOVE Butterfly like you have no idea 😭I know people are not liking Naruto's actions right now, neither do I, but i like that you've wrote him being able to do something like that to precious Hina, your not going soft route and making him too nice or too accomadating, it really feels like he doesn't know her at all, which he doesnt! it's easy to hurt and use people you don't know and he's a prime example of that. He's not out to be malicious, but he's careless with her feelings because he doesn't KNOW her at all. People seem to shy away from making a character that flawed but you lean into and I love it! Naruto is setting himselg up for a WORLD of hurt, I can see it already! Knowing you dont' do sad endings, I can safely enjoy this angst and heartache!!

Monster is my heart!!!!! The Boruto series should have gone this route because the plot for the Otsutsuki is out of this world!! It adds so much tension and suspense, and the lovey dovey moments with NaruHina are like a drug I can't stop doing! I'm scared now though! Ino got those worm root things poured into her mouth by Shino and things are getting really weird and I know you warned us that angst is coming (again I'm gonna enjoy it since you don't do sad endings) but now I'm petrified because Hinata has been acting weird all the way up to this point, and I think whatever was done to her by Toneri is about to come fruition! I'm scared for her and for Naruto! That book is an amazing balance of horror, smut, love and angst!!

I'm DYING for more Prey 😭 I love me a dark fic and Naruto is stone cold crazy af and I love ittttttt! I want to see the meeting between him and the woman he's been stalking, his future baby mama, Hinata! How will she deal with his brand of crazy??? Who is Danzo and why is Naruto working with him??? How did Naruto become a killer like that????! I mean I know he was crazy as a teen and he's killed before but now its like his job??! How, what happened?? I needs to know!! And poor Sasuke 😭😭😭😭😭Naruto is a HANDFUL for him to have to deal with all the time!!

All of this was just to say I am dying without your updates 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 take your time on your deserved break but also come back soon!!!!

My break is just about over, sorry about the long wait! My stories have been calling me, especially my throuples thanks to my Sims 4 game 🤭I'm even more convinced now that a NaruHinaSasu dynamic is a special, beautiful dynamic and I cannot wait to finish my other throuple fics as well as add more. I'm very happy you enjoy all my stories to such an extent 😭I work pretty hard on them and am glad that I can create stories that can push a person from their comfort zone and still have them content in a new, unexplored territory! A Cure For Love was my first attempt at M/M action and people seem to enjoy it, shockingly, quite a few people that don't like M/M either but love the story regardless are REALLY into this story😵‍💫 and that still blows my mind! It's nice to see more people coming on board the MMF ship! 🤭It's really diverse in here. There's SasuNaru fans willing to give those two with Hinata a try, there's SasuHina fans willing to make room for Naruto, there's NaruHina fans willing to open their hearts to Sasuke, I love the vibe of that story so much. The community is so nice and amazing!

I'm glad I could change your perspective on Sasuke, he really gets way too much hate and not enough understanding/compassion in my opinion. I've gone through deaths of loved ones before, and that shit eats you up inside, it's like a lifetime disease that chips away at you non-stop, I could not imagine going through it to his extent, I'd lose my damn mind too. Idc what no one says, I love Sasuke and my heart goes out to him 100% and I don't say that lightly. I adore Naruto, and Sasuke shouldn't have put him through what he did, but I also am of the mind of Naruto. Sasuke needed help. He was self destructive and losing himself, and I'm glad Naruto could see that and help him. I wish I had a Naruto, I swear.

I love flawed characters like Naruto in Butterfly. You're right that there's gonna be some heavy angst, but as I said, I don't do sad ends, but I do want to hurt your heart 😇enjoy the pain, you've got three books of it coming up.

Don't even get me started on everything wrong with Boruto 🤦🏾‍♀️such lazy writing imo. It's like they skimmed through Naruto and Shippuden rather than watched it fully. That series is not canon to me, never will be. Monster is my horror baby, and you're right, it's about to get wayyyyy worse. Prepare yourself is all i can say.

Crazy ass Naruto shall be back soon, lol, and all your questions shall be answered over time!

I'll be adding my Enemies to Lovers fic and a chapter of Monster upon my return as those are the two that won the poll, after that, the rest will be updated, judging from what I've written in terms of next chapter for each, I think it'll be A Cure For Love, Secrets, Prey then Butterfly. looked up jpn mermaid myths quick for mermay, instantly hit by an au idea that i will never write because there is no way im doing that much research into the edo period.

but anyway it was said that consuming a mermaids flesh would make you immortal so i was instantly thinking, the uchiha as merpeople that were hunted to near extinction for their flesh (what is it with the cannibalism this week). in some regions it was also said that mermaids had red hair, making me think of the uzumaki, that wouldve succumbed to the same fate. but of course before that miss kushina had a forbidden affair with minato and now theres halfie naruto running around not knowing his origins or that he can change forms. minato was also murdered for trying to keep a mermaid ('s flesh) to himself. naruto grows up shunned for being the son of a traitor.

i guess youd have sasuke sign a dubious contract with the sea witch orochimaru, cliche i know, to become temporarily bipedal and hunt down the people that murdered his family. itachi is not at fault for once but he left sasuke behind to do the exact same thing as sasuke is planning to and sas hasnt seen him in years. sasuke has to return before his x birthday to give his body to orochimaru (so he can consume it for power), or he will die from the poison curse whatever orochimaru has placed on him. sasuke of course doesnt plan to return he just wants revenge and to see his brother one more time. sasuke hasnt wanted to live for a long long time anyway.

and then of course youll have naruto and sasuke meet and clash, then grow close. eventually youd have a scene where naruto is drowning, probably in some convoluted situation after trying to help sasuke, and sasuke isnt fast enough to fish him back up. when sasuke eventually finds the resolve to dive down for narutos body, he instead finds an unconscious blonde merman at the bottom of a trench.

This is a little look about my first fanfic:

My first fanfic is about Anko after Orochimaru's death. Here, Orochimaru and Anko have the same age. These events take place before Naruto.

In this universe, Orochimaru's death can't be reversed. His death is an absolute point in time.

She is in love with him, he doesn't show any sign, but that doesn't mean that he is not. They are closer, but Anko doesn't recognize Orochimaru's experiments and by order of the third hokage, Anko has to kill Orochimaru for the good of the village but... even going back in time, he dies in another way and so on, although she tries infinitely...

Can anko bring her loved one back to life? I will answer it in my fanfic!

A list of OCs I've made for the past few years (OC dump)

Just as the title says, I'm gonna info dump on some OCs I've made since 2019. Also I just want to share my OCs with everyone.

Hikari (Naruto)- First OC I made after I watched Naruto for the first time. She's the fourth member of Team 7 (pretty cliche) and had this thunder-wave themed kekkei genkai. I'm pretty sure Hikari was just my self-insert.

Shizuyo Tsubaki (Demon Slayer)- She's the ice hashira and the cousin of Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Also, she's the lover of Kyojuro Rengoku (cause of the whole fire & ice dynamic y'know.) Originally she was gonna be half demon via her mom but after some consideration I was like, "nah."

Fuyuko Uzui (Also Demon Slayer)- Fuyuko is the newer version of Shizuyo except she's Uzui's younger sister, so yeah.

Misato Kujo (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)- She used to be another OC named Yoshika Kira, the younger sister of Yoshikage Kira. Misato is Jotaro Kujo's twin sister who also had a stand (still trying to make the stand.) Misato is sort of a mix between the "deliquent" and the "popular girl."

Philippa/Phoebe Wittebane (The Owl House)- Philippa is the genderbent clone daughter of Philip Wittebane AKA Emperor Belos. She doesn't interact with Hunter that much because Belos doesn't want the two to rebel against him (yet he makes her go to Hexide in season 1.) As of right now I'm thinking of giving her powers either by Belos making a artificial magic byle sack, or Belos using half of the bones of my deceased Collector OC. This would cause Philippa to gain Belos' curse and maybe the Collector OC's powers. Philippa was originally gonna be a Frankenstein-like character of a human that went to the Boiling Isles before Luz, and a witch that are both dead. She would've been stitched together which cursed magic thread and would sometimes have Belos-like ooze leaking out of said stitches. She would've also worked alongside Hunter as the "silver guard."

The Keeper (Also The Owl House)- The Keeper is the older sister of the Collector who was manipulated into being killed by Belos to make his clone. When the Collector saw Philippa when he was in their physical form, he mistakened Philippa as the Keeper.

Antonina "Nina" Pixis (Attack On Titan)- She's the youngest kid of Dot Pixis who would work in the Survey Corps. Nina would've saved Marco Bott after the Marley gang left him to die (and Nina and Marco would eventually fall in love with each other.) Nina was originally gonna be named "Ilse" (before I found out there was lready a character in the series named Ilse) who was the adoptive sister of Annie, and she was a backup person just in case Annie was dying and someone had to inherit the Female Titan.

Karuta Senju (Naruto)- She's a newer Naruto OC I made. Karuta is the great-granddaughter of Tobirama Senju and the third cousin of Tsunade. Karuta has Tobirama's face markings, her mother's red hair (due to being an Uzumaki), and wood release. After her parents died from the nine tails attack, Orochimaru took her in as his pupil after discovering her wood-release abilities. Karuta would team up with Kabuto Yaksuhi as parthers (with lowkey having a rivals-to-lovers thing going on) in the Chunin Exams. In the Search For Tsunade arc, Tsunade would be saddened and shocked to find out her own third cousin betrayed the land their ancestors created.

Mallie (Splatoon 3)- Mallie is an octoling and the New Agent 3 of Splatoon 3's hero mode. She has selective mutism and only talks to Little Buddy and the rest of the Salmonoids. Mallie uses the Big Swig Roller and refuses to hurt the Salmonoids in Salmon Run.

Theta and Octavia Takowasa (Also Splatoon 3)- Theta and Octavia are the granddaughters of DJ Octavio that go by their musical duo title "Eighth Octave" (Theta- 8 in greek; Octavia- octave.) Just like the Squid Sisters they sing for the octarians but with traditional Japanese, 80s pop, and DJ tunes (basically the octarians' version of 80s Japanese city pop.) After the events of Octo Expansion, they join forces with the New Squidbeak Splatoon as they didn't see the inklings as much of a threat after Splatoon 2's hero mode.

That's all of my OCs so far. I think I worked most on Philipa Wittebane and the least on The Keeper (she's a newer OC.)

four your soul eater au, a cult that works with witches kidnapers Naruto who was a orphans because of the properties of his soul. he was fused with a demon fox Weapon to become an Ultimate Weapon Meister Type. he was later rescued by iruka (a mister) and his at the time weapon mizuki ( a giant shuriken, who would later betray them, and try to give naruto to the snake witch orochimaru).

Naruto actually saved himself, but other than that,,,

The cult is of a mixture of witches that want power and a meister family (the Uchihas) that wants to be witches so they fuck around with dark magic. It's a power play, really, and Sasuke was born into it. He doesn't personally want to be a witch, he just wants to be strong, and part of that is power over others, so his family gave him responsibility of Naruto (and secretly Naruto the responsibility to protect Sasuke at all costs) and Sakura's dad's a witch so she was also born into the cult, she was just farther from the heart of it and she's a bit more observant than Sasuke.

Naruto was taken as an orphan because it was quick, easy and free. There was about a hundred like him, but most didn't make it through getting their weapon, and of those that did, some ran and were killed before they could tell a soul.

Orochimaru wishes he was still part of the cult but he got kicked out because he kept stealing the kids to experiment on himself without so much as an IOU, he's after Sasuke because he's certain a pureblood meister will solve his problems.

Last series I watched: Hunter x Hunter (1999) -- almost done with it! I’ve been enjoying this version much more than I thought I would, thought it does leave a lot to be desired (esp the Greed Island arc OVAs >.>)

Last movie I watched: Ah. Hm. I can’t remember, if we’re talking non-animated movie. Animated movie would be the second HxH movie, The Last Mission. Super enjoyable, I gobbled up all the Hisoka & Kurapika crumbs it offered like my life depended on it XD

Currently working on: ... so much T___T  I’ve got a Winx Valtor/Bloom multichap fic plus six one-shots; a WITCH Phobos/Will post-comic series multichap fic plus a couple of Phobos/Will one-shots set in an alternate canon divergent timeline; a FFXIV post-Endwalker ZenosWoL multichap fic plus seven one-shots (featuring Zenos, WoL, Estinien, and Emet primarily); ten Hakuouki one-shots (Hijikata/Yukimura, but generally including the whole gang); two Hunter x Hunter one-shots (Hisoka & Kurapika; Hisoka, Kurapika, Illumi); eight Naruto one-shots (featuring an OC, Orochimaru, his snake family, etc.). And my Bleach longfic, which I really do want to finish. And now I’m contemplating a post-Shippuden through Boruto-Era Itachi-is-alive fic (: And that’s just the writing lmao. I have at least eighteen more FFXIV drawings and six HxH drawings I have planned out. I’m almost done styling Zenos’ wig, and I’m waiting for more hairspray to arrive so I can restyle Itachi’s bangs (I don’t like them X_X). OH, and maintaining my balcony garden through the summer heat!

(I tend to run around like a chipmunk chipping away at multiple things at once instead of focusing on one and finishing it before working on another, which is probably why I can never get things done and posted on a regular basis XD Though, if my brain would stop shoving new ideas down my throat, that would actually help a ton.)

My Review of GTO - Great Teacher Onizuka

Oh, shit. Only now do I realize that I haven't posted an actual review since October and it's now January 1st. That is unlike me, but I guess there's been a domino effect of things happening one after another like a small vacation out of state, working through the holidays, and just general laziness. Okay, let me get back on track. Let's review, GTO!

Well, this has been a long time coming. This has been seen as one of the greatest animes of all time. I mean, “greatest” is in the title so it would be false advertising.

Eikichi Onizuka is about to become a teacher. He’s 22, a virgin, and an ex-biker gang leader. Perfect qualifications! Onizuka has high ambitions of becoming the greatest teacher of all-time. Hence, the title of this show. Is it for his love of education? No, he just wants a high school waifu. Oh honey, that’s going to get you put right in the slammer. Don’t let this perverted side fool you, Onizuka has a lot of life experience that could set his students on the right path. Unfortunately, Onizuka is put in the roughest class at Holy Forest Academy. Could this be a test for him or is he the right person for the job?

A lot of doubt has been thrown at Onizuka. He has quite the police record including more recent incidents and even more to come as you’ll see throughout this series. In his assistant teaching stint, he did some unorthodox methods of getting through to some students and parents. In the actual teaching interview, Onizuka punched and later body-slammed the vice principal. But, Onizuka wound up as an instructor. A middle school teacher, but a teacher nevertheless. These students are at the threshold of adulthood despite all the things they’ve gone through. I mean, these kids are dealing with shit like bullying, sexual assault, suicide, body issues, and trust issues. Mr. Onizuka might just be the right person for the job to help with these difficult pre-teens/teens.

BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Holy shit, look at all of these castmates on the dub. Everyone here has 2-5 roles in this anime. Shit, early 2000’s dubbing company, hire more people. You know how early this anime dub was? Steven Blum played the titular character and used a fake name for the credits. Wow! Come on, like we aren’t going to know that’s really Spike Speigel voicing this bro. Another amazing sight for this anime is the fact that they got the Papenbrooks to voice a couple of characters. That’s right, Debbie Rothstein and the late Bob Papenbrook. By the looks of it, Bryce wasn’t in this anime. I think this was dubbed prior to his anime debut.

As for the sub…OH SHIT, SEKI-ALERT! Greatest seiyuu in the world, Tomokazu Seki! Yeah, this looks like Toji 2.0. And that makes so much sense because Tomokazu Seki does play Toji. Look at these two and tell me I'm not crazy. Anyways, here’s what you might recognize these folks from.

JAPANESE CAST:

DISLIKED CHARACTER: First things first, I will not hate on any of these students. A lot of these students like Miyabi and Anko (despite being absolute bitches) had some unfortunate things happen to them or to their friends. It’s not really their fault they were dealt a shitty hand in life. Especially when you have educators who you’re supposed to put your faith and trust in and they do something to you so unforgivable that you look upon every educator in a horrible light. Anko and the girls bullying Yoshikawa relentlessly is definitely something I dislike, but I’m going to stay focused on where I was going.

The adults at the school however are fair game. Onizuka and Fuyutsuki are excused here to an extent. Onizuka has his demons and everyone knows it. He does get his point across albeit through unorthodox methods. Though he would totally be fired in real life! And Fuyutsuki has been nothing but kind and patient with her students. But I digress, many of these teachers showcased here are pretty bad. Especially the gym teacher and the English teacher Mr. Sakurada. The gym teacher reminds me too much of the gym teacher from Persona 5 and that’s a big strike. If you know, you know! Sakurada on the other hand, there’s no forgiving with him when he gets involved in trying to steal the third-year class trip money and would just sit there and allow Onizuka’s head be put on the chopping block. Never mind being blackmailed by one of his students, he did Mr. Onizuka dirty here. Now as for Vice Principal Uchiyamada…

And the face he makes before…well, you’ve all seen the memes.

Every episode I tell myself that maybe there’s something deeper to this guy. That there’s some redeeming quality to this man and that he doesn’t deserve to be shit on episode after episode. I know there were a lot of shows and animes that would be mean to the vice principal or have them be the butt of the joke. Mr. Bone from Doug and Guber from Boston Public come to mind. Uchiyamada has definitely been the severe punching bag and butt of the joke in the series. I stopped counting how many times his car got destroyed because of Onizuka. To be fair, some of those were to stop a student from committing suicide. But then you remember his very first scene in this show was of him staring at and later sniffing Miss Fuyutsuki’s ass.

Hell yeah, I’m putting Vice Principal Uchiyamada on here!

…I do wane away from hating this guy later on though.

SHIPPING: You know what? I was sitting here the several months I spent watching this anime thinking that this couple was going to happen. And when I hit the final episode. I’m shocked yet not surprised. I’m just going to crumple up this ship, throw it in the garbage and pretend I never thought what I thought.

PREQUEL: A couple of years prior to the GTO anime, a five-part OVA series was released between 1994 and 1997 showing Onizuka and his friend Ryuuji in their high school days. This was during their middle/high school days where they were known as Onibaku. Just letting you know, nobody has licensed this in the states, it’s not streaming anywhere, there is no English dub, beware of shotty subtitles, and the Japanese cast is different from the television series.

MUSIC: I know everyone goes to the first opening theme by L'Arc~en~Ciel. And you should, it’s a great song. But if you want a toe-tapping earworm, the second opening Hitori no Yoru is the jam.

I swear, I always neglect Porno Graffitti. I need to stop, because they’ve been putting out good-ass bangers for the last 20 years.

ENDING: The final arc just before the finale was the classes taking the big trip to Okinawa. This almost didn’t happen due to one of Onizuka’s students blackmailing one of the teachers to trick Onizuka and steal all the money for the trip. That was an ordeal. But they all made it! This trip showed more of Yoshikawa than I anticipated. Remember this kid? He’s the one that almost offed himself several times throughout the series and has been bullied repeatedly. The bullying continued on this trip. So Onizuka got the bright idea of changing the sleeping arrangements and having them become coed. The end result of having Yoshikawa and his bully Anko share the same room led to an episodes-long coming to terms for Anko having feelings for Yoshikawa despite all the bullying.

Does it bother anybody else that Anko looks and acts too much like Asuka Langly Soryu? What is it with this anime and its characters looking like Evangelion characters? It can’t just be that they came out in the same decade. There’s gotta be like several animators that worked on both anime!

The final two episodes answer the question of who the hell was the teacher before Onizuka. We got our answer when the dude (Mr. Saitou) ends up in the hospital after being stabbed nearly to death. The students loved their teacher. But he wound up in a relationship with another student in the class. And when found out, Saitou promised his class one thing, but turned around and did something else. The whole class felt betrayed by the teacher they once trusted. The end result of this ordeal was that Saitou left Holy Forest Academy and actually wound up working at another school despite what he did at his prior employment. The girl Saitou had an affair with wound up pregnant and later committed suicide. And the entire classroom of students was left with a severe distrust of educators.

It's no doubt that in these last 40 episodes, Onizuka has helped each and everyone of his students in one way or another. For many, they were able to put their faith in a teacher again. But one final holdout was still never going down. And that was Miyabi! She has been trying to get Onizuka fired at every given opportunity. These episodes, she switched gears to another target. One night, she visited Mr. Saitou and stabs him. Miyabi was on the run for most of the day until she was found by Onizuka ready to stab a member of the board of education. Onizuka had a few choice words for this guy. So, the board of education guy was like, “Imma end this man’s career”. The board has given the principal an ultimatum. Miyabi must surrender herself to the police and Onizuka must be terminated for “assaulting” a board member.

Thankfully, the entire school was on Onizuka’s side. Despite everyone risking their own careers to support this guy, it is what it is. Even Vice Principal Uchiyamada! That was pretty surprising as Uchiyamada has been on a crusade since day one to get Onizuka terminated. The principal put her foot down with her decisions concerning Miyabi and Onizuka that it really ruffled the board members’ feathers. I should say so as they are some shady fucks. Murai and the other students do some sleuthing of their own and came across some interesting things. Mr. Saitou was really trying to do the right thing by his students. Miyabi didn’t stab him, Saitou stabbed his own damn self in a suicide attempt. And the school board is pretty much the bad guy in this situation.

It all comes together when Onizuka enters the room, brings the press, and admits to everyone that he stabbed Mr. Saitou. This whole scene was just anarchy that it was hard for anyone to comprehend everything that’s about to go down. The anime just shows Onizuka leaving with the police…and then he tries to escape. All of a sudden, it’s two months later. Fuyutsuki and the principal are wondering if Onizuka will ever return. And at that same time, Onizuka’s on his motorcycle traveling the United States southwest until winding up in California where he’s going to be a teacher at a junior high.

Okay, sure anime! “See you soon”. Yeah, sure. I’ll buy that. THIS ANIME CAME OUT 25 YEARS AGO AND THAT’S STILL THE LAST WE’VE SEEN OF GTO. At least in anime form. The manga went on until 2002.

I’m sure this is another case for me to go to the manga and start digging around for answers if there are any. Yes, I enjoyed this one. Okay, yes. Onizuka is the…great…Shit, I can’t finish that sentence. I’m still on Team Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom. I know both teachers are of different generations and their curriculum was hella different, but I still have to side with Koro-sensei.

I think everyone here wishes they had a teacher like Onizuka. Well…a majority of people. You do have to admit, a lot of the things he did throughout the series would have gotten him fired, arrested, or deported. Going to a home and smashing a wall so that a father and daughter would be closer. That’s one way, but I’m surprised that family wasn’t pressing charges. The raucous behavior he’s had throughout the series. The perversion too! The numerous amounts of times he destroyed the vice principal’s car. And let’s not forget some of the things he did before he entered Holy Forest Academy.

Is there ever hope that this’ll ever see a revival? There’s always hope! Hell, Fruits Basket got a revival and exceeded expectations. And other anime revivals happened to…lesser expectations. Maybe one day, some crazy studio (maybe MAPPA) will do a service to the anime community once again, give us a new cast, have Aniplex pick it up, and have the whole story told. Or, we could just leave it be and have the classic remain a classic.
