#add tubbo and ranboo to to really up the trauma
Text
writing some Manberg Tubbo hcs for @best-vice-evr/@las-nevadas-business because I'm bored
warning; discussions of various types of abuse, alcohol, trauma, subconscious victim blaming (very specific), unhealthy behaviors, and overall a not very healthy situation.
I'll add more if I missed anything, but I think that covers most of it.
1. He sits out in the hallways most nights, waiting for the noise to stop. It's more to confirm that Quackity ended up asleep and resting.
2. Tubbo has a habit of taking on more than he can handle, to try and lighten things for Quackity. It usually works, so he never really stopped.
3. on the nights that Tubbo can't sleep at all, which are a majority of them, he ends up trying to fix up the messes Schlatt leaves behind. It always ends before dawn though, not wanting to risk waking the older ram up.
4. Tubbo knows a lot of medical information to better suit what injuries Quackity has, to ensure that the avian is receiving the proper treatment.
5. The only gift Tubbo received from Schlatt in the Manberg era of things was a locket with a picture of Tommy in his L’Manburg uniform in it. He still wears it around most days.
6. on the nights Tubbo went to visit pogtopia, he would only leave if Quackity came with him. It was more of a safety thing.
7. In the Las Nevadas era of things, Tubbo genuinely believes his experience in the Manberg era wasn't scarring in comparison to what Quackity’s experiences were like.
8. Tubbo likes using the ‘:]’ and ‘:[’ and all its variants like Quackity, but he also uses the emoticons —(◍•ᴗ•◍)— like Schlatt.
9. Tubbo has more of Quackity's genetics and generally takes after Big Q, with the exception of a few things from Schlatt. (Like his Ram traits, and the way he acts when he's overly stressed out.)
10. Tubbo genuinely didn't know what a healthy, stable marriage was meant to look like until he met Ranboo. And as a bonus; he was terrible at hiding that he liked them. He was also awful at hiding that he liked Tommy.
11. Tubbo's a light sleeper, he always has been and always will be. It's just how he is.
12. Tubbo very frequently makes sure that Quackity is intaking a healthy portion of food every day, always setting aside a bit of his own meal to give to Quackity. It eventually ended up in him having disordered eating habits. (He'd do it all over again, because it meant that Quackity actually took care of himself. And that was all he wanted.)
13. Tubbo's known about Quackity's cannibalistic habits since a few nights before the funeral for Schlatt was held. To keep the peace, he never said anything about it — but he's known.
14. Tubbo regularly visits Schlatt's grave, bringing him dried out flowers and small trinkets. He hates what their life was like with Schlatt in Manburg, but a small part of Tubbo misses him. It hurts a bit more every time, but Glatt is making things better.
15. Tubbo is mostly sober, occasionally taking a few sips of something alcoholic. He’s almost always sober any other time though.
16. Tubbo's a bit of a collector, taking trinkets and anything he deems ‘pretty.’ Most trinkets are in his bedroom, but a few are in his workshop too.
17. Speaking of his workshop, Tubbo spends a lot of time in there — mostly because of his projects, but as mentioned in headcanon two, it's also a habit to try and take on more than he can handle.
18. The official cover of the song ‘fries’ from the show Adventure Time is the way Tubbo invisions his relationship with Schlatt. Something more soft and bittersweet, rather than the mistreatment and hurt it actually was.
19. THE ONLY HC I'M WRITING FOR POST–RANBOO’S DEATH: Tubbo planted an entire garden of pretty flowers (mostly alliums and white flowers) after the passing of his beloved partner, and takes Michael to visit the garden every night before bed.
20. Tubbo tended to stay away from Schlatt unless the older was entirely sober, mostly because he wanted Schlatt's attention and he wanted to be positive that it was REAL. Like, Tubbo understood that the loving attention wasn't ever as genuine as it was when Schlatt was entirely and fully sober.
21. Speaking of — Tubbo slowly started to become more and more comfortable around Glatt, until eventually they had a pretty wholesome relationship. Especially since Glatt has shown that he can, and will, act better than Schlatt ever could.
22. whenever Tubbo gets really silly, he acts like a little kid with a ton of stimming (usually flailing his hands, stamping his feet onto the floor like hooves, and doing silly little spins)
23. Tubbo has been taking care of others more than himself since the very first month Schlatt was drunk almost daily. He never really learned to put himself first — he still has a ton of issues with it.
24. Tubbo was in denial of being trans for awhile, not wanting to accept the fact that he was just a bit different. After a long talk with Quackity though, he calmed down, and started to accept it. (My silly boy :[..
25. Anytime an adult is drunk, mostly Quackity or Glatt, Tubbo tends to avoid them. Alcohol still makes him uncomfortable for the most part.

Does tubbo have a role in this au? If so, in what chapter will we see him? Since Tommy has no idea how big the world actually is, and then he sees it on a map, does he think the world is flat? What about his backstory? Did he get bullied back at the colony? If he did, maybe he flinches whenever someone raises their hand. Do the crafts ask where he came from? If so, what's his excuse? Do they believe his lie, or are they suspicious? How do colony's work in this world? Is the reason he was so small to begin something to do with his size shifting ability? What if he meets one of the old borrowers from the colony? What would his relationship have been with Tommy? Nice to him, pitying him, or bullying him. What would their reaction be to him size shifting? I want to know everything.
sorry if I'm asking too much, you don't have too answer everything. Have some cookies as an apology 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

So for now the main characters are just sbi. I may add other characters if I can think of how it ties in with the story but for now just them. (Although Tubbo and Ranboo are mentioned in this somewhere so you never know)
This is canon. Yep definitely canon. Im going to say in a previous house he saw a map on a table once and heard it was the world. But doesn’t realise it’s obviously not to scale but def thinks the world is flat. He has a very heated argument about this with the twins and refuse to think otherwise without proof.
Constantly. As I said he’s different. The borrowers of this colony really did not like that he was different and they made sure to remind him of that. They’d either outright ignore him or deliberately make him do the worst jobs possible. Some borrowers (especially the ones around his age at the time) would deliberately go out of their way and hurt him for fun. So yes. Tommy in the beginning flinches a lot when he thinks he’s about to get hurt or someone moves to fast. Takes a long time for him to not be so tense about it but everyone is very patient about it and understanding when he semi outlines the abuse. The trauma of it all still a bit too fresh in his mid for detail
Yep of course they ask where he comes from! The Crafts wanna know who they need to go beat up. But I’m not gonna say if Tommy does or doesn’t say yet. Mainly because I’m not sure. But if he hadn’t yet, he’d tell them after the reveal properly.
Colonies in this world work a lot like the one in the 1997 The Borrowers movie in terms of how they have civilisation set up. There’s traders and stores and all sorts of things but they’re spaced out heavily and more built in underground caves then sewers. It’s more common for borrowers to live in forests and such then towns, but they have tunnels connecting places everywhere. This is how Tommy went from living in the smack bang middle of nowhere in the forest to living as an innie borrower in a house. Most borrowers know of the tunnels so a lot of innie borrowers are actually traders in a sorts that they’ll live in houses and bring back the ‘exotic human Bean’ things to trade in the colonies. Tommys parents however we’re not born in a colony, tho they knew of them, and lived mainly outside. But they were not very kind people and when Tommy was born, it just became more obvious to them that their child was different and so rather than waste supplies on a child they now didn’t want, they abandoned him.
Yes. Tommy being smaller than everyone else is because of his sizeshifter abilities. Sizeshifters born are kind of stunted in height. It’s part of how you can identify them. They’re also just a lot thinner and more lanky in appearance because they have the ability to change size and this somewhat allows them to do that. (Or I think it’s just funny to describe Tommy as lanky) but yeah even as they get older, they’re just a lot weaker physically too which would be fine because their shifting sort of makes up for that aspect. So while Tommy is an inch shorter then everyone else his age in the colony, if he knew he could size shift, he wouldn’t have been hindered as much.
If Tommy ever met someone from the old colony again, I think he’d probably just run out of the walls to find Wil, Phil or Techno. I think itd probably be one of his bullies that hurt him the most and Tommy would just go into panic attack mode and run for his life while probably being chased by them. He’d then run screaming into the room for someone while the bully still pursues them, and then of course he shifts. They’d be terrified and book it back to the walls and get away as fast as possible, while Tommy receives comfort cuddles.
Tommy is just scared child that runs from danger. He needs therapy.
You can never ask too many questions. Ask me more! I need the distraction. Thank you for the cookies ✨anon✨! Have some more lollipops 🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭

i’m gonna be real with you, i’ve saw like maybe two or three origins streams ;-; ooo, i would like to hear about them whenever if you’d like!! and if you don’t want them to to public or anything, you can always dm if you want to! gosh, i love headcanons, feel free to come to me and tell me about them anytime you wanna :D
poetry is so nice. i used to write poetry sometimes when i was in really bad moments of mental health stuff, so most of my poetry is really triggering probably. i totally understand you with feeling like characters are living and breathing people, i feel that so much. i had an oc who i adored some years ago and haven’t touched on her since those years ago. unfortunate, i miss her so much (her name is june btw). i miss writing, it’s one of the only things i’ve ever truly shared and created because i used to be good at it, but now i think i’ve lost a lot of that. the last thing i wrote was a short c!ranboo poem that i posted a few months ago (i think). and i completely get you, makes total sense. i think writing in that way is really nice
oh? that’s cool then! i don’t know if you remember, but someone asked you a bit ago what names you’d pick for cs!tubbo if his name wasn’t tubbo, and i can’t remember if that was on anon or not (i think it was, and that was me actually. so we have cs!tubbo and cs!ranboo, haha. mhm, i get you, but i wanted to! because the fic is genuinely so fucking incredible and i wanted to add to the lovely community for it, but turns out it was a guy in my brain. i haven’t seen her in a while…. she’s incredibly mentally ill so she’s weary of being around. but if i see them anytime soon, i’ll let him know you said that. i’m sure they would appreciate that. oh no, she’s fine with it. one of the names he goes by actually is mare, because of you, so i’m very positive they’re comfortable with being associated with you and everything? also please let me know if her using a name of yours makes you uncomfortable, he wouldn’t like to make you uncomfortable :]
HELLO I AM SO SORRY I AM REPLYING SO LATE hope you are well <3
i don't have all the energy atm to explain my full headcanons but basically i had a fic AU set in a modern, non-fantastical universe where the osmp cast lived in this smaller quaint town and eventually o!Ranboo left to move into the city after a natural disaster event happened in the other town and caused her some trauma. her relationships are generally strained but are better with some people than others but inevitably she is able to find her way home. there's more to it than that but that was my idea hehe
poetry is so so so fucking healing seriously, and honestly like! any kind of writing is so important to keep regardless of whether it fits on this metric of "good/bad", like. it's coming from the heart and your experiences and these characters that you connect to (june sounds lovely by the way, <3) and that's what's most important. i've had to give myself a lot of grace with cough syrup about whether or not i was writing it perfectly because, yeah, the first couple of chapters are objectively on the shittier end compared to the rest of the fic. but what matters is that it conveyed what i wanted it to, and it gave me a way to spend that summer, and it meant a lot to me.
i hope this isn't uncomfortable to say but the fact that your csranboo uses the name mare because of me makes me like, tear up a little. and yes, i remember that anon! i find it so interesting how many people have asked me about alternate names i'd give the characters for purposes of fictives because to be entirely honest i am so ungodly shitty with names that every time i flounder LMAO, but it's very sweet that people ask me haha . also tell your cstubbo i say hello as well , there are many brain guys in this community too and i think that's realy neat honestly

Finally, finally I have some time to procrastinate write some more stars anaysis!
My theory is that they're not going to get out of the solar system, basically (slight exaggeration, I just don't think they'll get very far if they do leave the planet's surface). I have no doubt that Tommy and Wilbur are technically able to get off of the planet. It would be really hard, but they say themselves, it was impossible to get off Eldinvegr. Yet they did so. I believe that Tommy and Wilbur are ingenuitive enough to leave.
My theory is based off of their loose ends, and what exactly happened when they escaped Eldingvegr. They left a lot behind. Niki is the biggest one; she's the person that they (mainly Wilbur) can point to and say "I miss her. I want her back. She was something good about Eldingvegr." But there are messier ties that they still have - Tubbo, for one. Tommy probably has some very complicated feelings about Tubbo, and he might have things that he wish he could say to him. But other things as well. The simple fact that Eldingvegr is home.
They were able to leave Eldingvegr, but they still want to go back, at some point. Only reason they haven't is because they'll literally be killed if they do.
They have loose ends on Zephys IV, too
Jack, Aimsey, Ranboo, Phil, Technoblade. The first two being more like Niki with the last three more like Tubbo in terms of how it would feel to lose them. While there is no cultural element tying the boys there like there is with Eldingvegr, Zephys IV means a lot to them. I just think about all those books Wilbur has been reading. Then I think about little bird and I just can't see them leaving for good
There's also the meta perspective of how story structure plays into this, but I think I've gone on enough
I just felt the need to explain that I believe in Tommy and Wilbur's ability to escape. I don't believe that under these conditions, where they're not being chased out, when they're trying to flee people who are technically welcoming them, they can bare to continue on into the great unknown, alone, besides each other.
And if they do have the guts to leave? Well, props to them, and that would be an incredibly interesting final arc as well. You've surprised me in your writing before, and I think you could pull anything off
Seeing them try to leave is going to be incredibly interesting, and probably heartbreaking. As you pointed out in my last ask, they're basically flashing back to the moment they left Eldingvegr. That's got to add to the emotional distress because of PTSD. Everything's gonna culminate - I'm really, really excited for it
Gonna talk about Ranboo and Jack in my next ask!
- 🔥
ooooo very good points all around, yes there are loose ends on both eldingvegr and zephys iv. but also, they COULD do it.
the thing is, they aren't planning on leaving zephys iv permanently. at least, that's not what they're thinking right now. tommy especially just needs to be out from under techno's thumb so he can think about what he actually wants to do, and wilbur is in a similar position. neither one of them can properly think through their options regarding the negotiations with so many complicated emotions spinning around their heads, which rise up every time they see phil and techno. what they both want more than anything is just time away from the two to try and think things through. but they're panicking because of their past trauma, so the only way they can think they can achieve this is by escaping again.
it'll definitely be heartbreaking I can promise you that :)

tubbo's reaction to ranboo talking to him on stream triggered me so badly. maybe this is my bias and trauma talking so sorry if i'm being dramatic, but i had a stalker ex who would do shit like that after i cut contact and blocked them everywhere. they'd use mutual friends as a lure or to find out what i was doing then arrange plans to be at a certain place themselves so i couldn't completely avoid them, or basically unexpectedly turn up in situations where i didn't expect them and try and initiate contact in public because i wouldn't talk to them in private.
it leaves you feeling scared and isolated because nobody understands how bad it is when the other person is 'harmless' and not violent. it's all 'they're just trying to be nice' or 'they don't understand what they're doing' but it feels so threatening you start to feel like you're crazy. it's like a chinese water torture on your mental health the little insignificant incidences add up. then you're the asshole for having boundaries.
anon i'm really sorry that you had to go through that. i don't want to diminish your experience in any way, but i think it's unlikely that this is a stalking situation going on. i agree that is was a little worrying to see tubbo react so strongly to ranboo being in the vc, however i think it was mostly a combination of him 1) not wanting to be there in the first place, 2) being overwhelmed by what tommy was doing and all the other random new people in the vc, and 3) being surprised by ranboo in the vc. of course ranboo was probably a factor in him deciding to leave the vc, but i don't think it was the only reason. i agree tho that he probably feels pretty stuck rn cause a lot of his friends are still very friendly with ranboo as well

i trust your judgement so much, any agere fic recommendations from other writers? i'm done with all of yours and i need more mcyt age regression content ajdhgads
AHHHH OKAY OKAY I GOT YOU
first of all, go read basically everything by Cypherr, the other 'big' mcyt agere writer in this fandom if you haven't already. His stuff is all really cool and many of his stories directly inspired some of my fics (their 'four's a family' inspired 'the feeling of family', etc etc). Now, I'll go through my bookmarks to find you some oneshots and fics I like
1. Stubborn Baby by Secretblog1212. It's a regressor!ranboo (my favorite, lots of these will be w/him included. and also lots of tommy/sbi stuff.) and cg!tubbo fic. Secretblog1212 is also a really good writer, they used to write Ethan Nestor agere stuff and I was really excited when we started talking, I'd recommend scrolling through everything they have since I love a lot of their fics, including their older Ethan Nestor stuff if you're interested.
2. a well of gentleness by anonymous. there are so many good agere fics (*cough* one hand to keep you warm *cough*) made by people who'd rather not reveal who they are- it's crazy. This is a really vibey SBI fic
3. trust by anonymous. again w/the anonymous authors, I love this cg!techno and little!tommy fic. <3
4. hearth by anonymous. little!tommy who doesn't *know* that he's been regressing until a very gentle cg!wilbur brings it up
5. "my scent is comforting? the hoodie stealing makes sense now." by strawberrymoolk. this is a multi-chaptered fic w/a secret regressor!tubbo (it won't be a secret for long) and eventual cg!ranboo, it's uncompleted.
6. Bad Day Build Up by Secretblog1212. look at my writing friend being talented again, little!ranboo who's had a bad day w/cg!tubbo who has to deal w/it. except he's good at calming him down and its nice <3
7. Discord Calls AU by Sleepy_Kitten, both works in this regressors!bench trio au are adorable and I love it w/all by heart
8. Safe and Innocent by BloopyBunny. secret regressor!tommy and cg!wilbur who's good at making him feel small, need I say more? But also tommy's really brutal on himself and deal with anxiety and trauma so just read the warnings before you read.
9. my silver lining by anonymous. regressor!ranboo tells tubbo about his coping skill
10. Little Boys deserve Big Hugs by awoof_o. I didn't bookmark this one and vaguely remembered one moment from it and had to go on a wild goose chase/fbi-level investigation to find this fic so that I could reread it. That should give you an idea of how good it is. It's secret regressor!tommy and cg!wilbur and also techno and phil come in near the end.
Okay! There's ten fics I liked enough to keep in my bookmarks to go back too, I have school but I may reblog and add on later! For now, enjoy these and let me know what you think. Make sure to comment to support your favorite agere creators! <3

ok so- c!tommy. we are all aware he’s traumatized, and experiences ptsd from being in traumatic experiences, this is basically fact.  while i’d like to talk how c!tommy experiences ptsd, i’d like to bring up a thing i haven’t seen mentioned a lot when it comes to c!tommy and his trauma- c-ptsd.  also known as complex-ptsd.   it occurs when someone experiences something traumatizing for a period of time.
Tumblr media
[image description: A screenshot of text with the words “CPTSD stands for Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is a mental health condition in which a person might experience intense PTSD symptoms that coincide with other mental issues. CPTSD occurs in people who have been subjected to on going traumatizing experiences”. end description]
which, as we know, the exile arc fits the description of “ongoing traumatizing experiences” pretty fucking well.  the exile was basically just two weeks of trauma.  for a lot of reasons too, there was dream abusing tommy, tommy being isolated, tommys own depression/suicidal thoughts/bad mindset in general.   this would all be considered a ongoing traumatizing experience(s).
ptsd is very similar to c-ptsd in how it develops, but ptsd occurs after one singular traumatizing event . (by the way, the event doesnt have to be life or death, it could be something like witnessing or hearing about a shocking event!!!)
symptoms of c-ptsd overlap with ptsd a good lot of the time, due to them both being trauma disorders.  however, there are a few differences.  here r some symptoms of c-ptsd, alot of which are ptsd symptoms that alot ofpeople with c-ptsd experience as well
reliving the traumatic experience
avoiding certain situations
changes in beliefs and feelings about yourself and others
hyperarousal (jitteriness, being on alert, etc)
somatic symptoms (physical symptoms with no underlying cause)
lack of emotional regulation
change in consciousness
negative self-perception
difficulty with relationships
distorted reception of abuser
loss of system of meanings
now, i’ll go over which of these fit our boy c!tommy, and how they fit for some of them atleast.  i will only be talking about the things that are a result from c-ptsd, but also c-ptsd works where it coincides with other mental illnesses a person has so.  its also important to note that within a person these symptoms might not stay the same over time, and not everyone who has c-ptsd or ptsd is going to experience it the same.   (so not talking abt how pain affects him after dying in the prison, though that is a clear sign of ptsd)
reliving the traumatic experience
tommy’s done this with exile a few times, when revisiting logstedshire, when he saw the craters in logstedshire, when visiting dream in prison, when during the disc finale dream dug the hole and told him to put his armour in, etc etc, he’s even described himself as being trembly in the fingers near plain biomes, while visting logsted he mentioned how shaky it made him to be there, and when he visited logsted one time he had an immediate reaction to seeing a hole in the ground that came off as him reliving it. flashbacks come in from sensations during a traumatic event, like sight, feeling, emotion, etc, etc.  it seems like with these he’s experiencing more of a reliving the emotions kind of thing.
avoiding certain situations
i was originally not gonna include this one, but thinking about it, he kind of does in a way.   this symptom also includes keeping yourself preoccupied to avoid thinking about it, which is something c!tommy seems to do alot.  with focusing on building the hotel, and doing tasks, or grinding for supplies instead of actually thinking about it.
changes in beliefs and feelings about yourself and others
c!tommy uh. does this a lot.  a lot of it stems from how during exile tommy was isolated and made to believe no one cared for him, and even if that wasn’t true c!tommy never really got much closure on that.  hes not really trusting ppl that b4 were really close to him, tubbo n ranboo for example
lack of emotional regulation
this can also be described as uncontrollable feelings.  this is the one i’ve wanted to talk about the most i think- because this is really fits c!tommy.  he tends to lash out alot, for example burning the flower c!ranboo gave him, there are a bunch more examples of this that include him yelling at others, that one time when he spleefed c!jack
negative self-perception
yeah.  theres a few examples of this one, the one that first comes to mind is that time during the green festival where he was talking about how he was worse than everyone he didn’t wanna be (including his abuser, c!dream...) .  theres now when he was building his tower by the prison when he was saying he couldn’t use the cobble because it was too him, and people didnt like the cobble. alot of this i think comes from c!dream making him feel basically worthless in exile :(
difficulty with relationships
Yeah. um.  Alot for this one!!! The first to come to mind is c!tubbo.  c!tommy and c!tubbos relationship is very very wonky, especially considering recent events with tommy feeling like he is being replaced with c!ranboo.  (which he isnt by the way! he just feels as though, which is a valid feeling for him to have :]) .  another person that comes to mind is c!ranboo.  he’s even mentioned how his and ranboos relationship goes back and forth quite alot.  its not very surprising to see that he has difficulty with relationships especially considering a lot of the reason that the exile affected him so badly was because he felt so alone and was so isolated from his friends.  another thing that comes to mind, is when he made c!sam sign that contract promising hat he’d be his best friend and protect him.  theres most likely way more that can be said here, but this is the first stuff that comes to mind.
distorted reception of abuser
um... yeah.  this one.  this can also be described as , “ becoming preoccupied with the relationship between you and your abuser. It can also include preoccupation with revenge or giving your abuser complete power over your life. “  which is um.  yeah.  c!tommy.  he’s mentioned how whenever he’s around c!dream he feels like hes conditioned to be his friend (which. yea . he was .).  right after he left logstedshire this was very very prominent, he was the biggest c!dream apologist around (/j), saying things like “dream didnt do anything wrong” and even explaining how he wasnt sure about things when it comes to c!dream, that his mind became flip floppy whenever he thought about him.   right now, hes focused on getting back at c!dream, not fully for revenge, mainly for his friends and how he doesnt want c!dream to go around killing and reviving everyone, but the point still stands.  (this all makes me extra sad because he had gone to the prison the second time in the first place to get closure :(( )
loss of system of meanings
Systems of meaning refer to your religion or beliefs about the world.  This can also refer to getting a strong sense of hopelessness or despair about the world, which as of late mainly c!tommy seems to have.  mainly referencing in his stream where he visited dreams bunker, he was asking what the point was of finding things that made him happy if dream was just going to get out the prison and destroy it.  theres also a few things that also go with this, in one stream while he burnt down ponks lemon tree for sam nook he said  "thats still decaying, but yknow, arent we all." and that one time when he gave that hotel invitation to c!techno he was like “ahahha we could die tomorrow anyway”
-
its also important to note that, “Any type of long-term trauma, over several months or years, can lead to CPTSD. However, it seems to appear frequently in people who’ve been abused by someone who was supposed to be their caregiver or protector. “ Which is.. fairly accurate in c!tommy’s situation.  c!dream might’ve not been a caregiver or protector necessarily but he was still someone that was looking after him yknow?
there are most likely more things than what i layed out that show that c!tommy most likely also has cptsd, however this is just the stuff that i thought up :] add to the post if you’d like to!
(also this isn’t saying that c!tommy doesnt have ptsd, he had both ptsd and c-ptsd. also i am not an expert about ptsd, cptsd, or mental health in general, if i got any information wrong let me know)

Sure, we could say that Tommy is physically normal after revival,
But that's no fun.
So, how about this:
People weren't made to been revived. Bringing the dead back has consequences.
When Tommy came back, he wasn't the same, and I'm not just talking about trauma.
His body is much more fragile, and is more zombie-like than human. He has phantom pains now, and any recent wounds rot really fast. Healing potions hurt him and potions of harming heal him. He's truly undead in every way except mentally. Being revived has more or less shoved his spirit back into a corpse.
This is another reason why he's afraid of pain, because witnessing his body rot away adds onto the trauma.
Scars litter his body, both old and new.
Even with Ranboo, Tubbo, and Puffy's support, he retreats into his head and dirt shack. He refuses to leave the space, terrified of everything.
But... when he meets Michael, something protective takes hold. Here is a child free of the traumas he and others have faced. Not only that, but Michael looks at Tommy and doesn't run and hide. He loves his big brother Tommy.
Tubbo and Ranboo watched the progress that Tommy has made since meeting their son. They've watched Tommy hide away from everything, afraid of even being touched, to going on walks with Michael and running around with the kid. With Michael, Tommy allows physical contact. He gives the kid piggy back rides, he reads out loud while Michael sits in his lap, and they've even napped together, with Michael curled into Tommy's body.
Sometimes, even if he doesn't get hurt, his scars rot away when not taken care of for a period of time. Tubbo has taken to treating Tommy when this happens, and even makes the boy do check-ups. Michael loves to help, playing doctor with Tommy. He's not disgusted by the rot like others are, and maybe that has something to do with them both being zombies of sort.
Even if Tommy is still scared of the world, he makes progress everyday. His support system are there for him.
And then something bad happens.
It was just a picnic with the four of them, and Michael had wondered off. Tommy left to look while Tubbo and Ranboo relax. None of them were particularly worried. Next thing they know, there's an explosion and loud squeals of fear. The two of them race towards the distressed sounds, only to find a creeper hole and a curled up figure at the bottom. Tommy was unconscious, injured, and curled around Michael. Luckily Michael didn't have a scratch on him, but thats because Tommy took the hit.
Tubbo, who always caries potions of harming for both his undead son and best friend, is quick to tend to Tommy while Ranboo calms their distressed child. While most of the burns and rot heals, Tommy took a lot of damage to his head— more specifically, his right eye. Tubbo would've gagged if he wasn't already used to gruesome injuries. He's learned to numb himself as a child soldier.
Tommy remains unconscious for a few days, and he stays at Tubbo's home in Snowchester. Michael sits by his bed, worried for his uncle. Tubbo assures the piglin child that Tommy was strong and would be up in no time.
The first thing Tommy sees when he wakes up is Tubbo, as Michael was long asleep after he'd been promised that Tommy would be looked after.
"Tubso...?"
Happy that his best friend was awake, Tubbo had pulled Tommy into a hug, though it was gentler than the normal bone-crushing embraces. "You scared us! What were you thinking!?"
Returning the hug as best as he could, Tommy answered: "I saw the creeper and acted, Big Man. What kind of big brother would I be if Michael got hurt?"
Apparantly, they weren't quiet enough, because both are alerted to the sound of small hoof-steps. Smiling, Tommy invites the kid into the bed, who immediately snorts happily and curls up into his side. And in that moment, Tubbo wants to cry tears of joy— he saw the way Tommy looked down at his son, and was reminded of how Wilbur used to look at Tommy and Fundy. Just the sheer amount of love... and Tommy wasn't even aware of his own expression.
When Tommy catches Tubbo's staring, he rolls his eyes and scoots himself and Michael over. "Get in here already, Big Man. Its late and I'm exhausted." With no further invitation needed, Tubbo climbs in and presses against Tommy's other side. That's how Ranboo found them in the morning (he took pictures so that none of them would ever forget.)
A few days after that, they take the bandages off Tommy's head and reveal his eye— just a socket now. Trying to make the best of the situation, Tommy cracks a smile and looks at Michael: "Looks like we're matching, Big M,"
Surprisingly, the creeper explosion didn't set Tommy back in progress. In fact, a little bit of the old Tommy was coming back to him after the experience. He started venturing out more, though not without armor anymore. He also finally moved out of that cruddy dirt shack and moved into Snowchester.
Tommy wore an eyepatch most of the time nowadays, not wanting people to stare at his socket. He only took it off around people he felt safe around. Those being Puffy, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Michael. He still got the odd looks at the eyepatch from people who didn't know, but those that did never commented on it.
With the mansion nearly complete, Ranboo decided that he wanted to move some of his stuff in. While he still lived in his cabin by Techno, he also wanted to stay with Tubbo and Michael. So the compromise was that he'd live in both homes. With that settled, Tommy promised to help Ranboo move some of his things over.
Now, this was the first time since right before the "final confrontation" with Dream that he's seen Techno and Phil. Of course, they'd heard he was locked in the prison, and there was a rumor going around that he died, but neither realy knew what he went through.
So of course Techno starts a fight with Tommy about being on his property.
Of course Tommy's stubbornness gets the best of him and he immediately starts arguing back. Ranboo watches the train wreck that is Techno and Tommy's relationship. Phil stands behind Techno, only jumping in to agree with his friend.
"And whats even with the eyepatch? It looks so stupid!"
Snarling, Tommy clenches his fists. "You wanna know whats with the eyepatch? Fine." He rips it off to reveal the rotting socket. It was about time for the weekly checkup anyways, but he wanted to help Ranboo first.
Shocked silence falls over the two anarchists, and Tommy feels a sense of satisfaction.
"...I– Tommy?" Phil was at a loss for words.
"It turns out being revived from the dead isn't all sunshine and flowers. But, I guess neither is being beat to death by your abuser either, innit."
They were already carrying everything that Ranboo wanted to take with him, do with that, Tommy starts to head back for the nether portal.
Suddenly pulled from his shock, Techno reaches for Tommy, wanting– no, needing an explanation. The voices in his head were all confused on how to feel, and he felt much the same. "Theseus–"
Ranboo grabs Techno's wrist before he could touch Tommy. Ranboo, who had talked about having the backbone of a chocolate eclair, had a look in his eyes. Something dangerous and protective that made Techno back off. "Do not touch him." Ranboo had hissed before realizing what he did and getting flustered. "He, uh– he doesn't like being touch..." Ranboo mumbles before hurrying after Tommy.
Techno and Phil are left to wonder what happened to a boy once so full of life. The thought that they were partially of fault for this weighed heavy on them.
---
I didn't really go back and proof read this, it was mostly just a single stream of consciousness over the past couple hours of writing.

fuck it imma dump aroace c!tommy on y’all, this is gonna be a long one...
gonna take a break from focusing on twitter for the moment and talk about a hc that’s going around the mcyt fandom but isn’t quite popular enough yet imo. original idea certainly isn’t mine but instead of “it just makes sense” i’ve compiled SO MUCH to make it all add up perfectly!!
he's a very unstable and insecure character, yeah? so he doesn't want people to know things about him that probably aren't "normal" - Especially since there are so fucking many romantic relationships on the dream smp, i guess it's kinda expected of him since ranboo and tubbo got together so openly. but he's aroace, so if he does get into a relationship he won't feel any real romantic or physical attraction and he won't be happy. to cover this, this explains why his whole entire bit is all "i love women and girls and i am very straight but also since twitter is canon i might jokingly be lesbian actually and i very much get lots of pussy and i have sex with girls every night and GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS" blah blah blah. it's so abnormal and strange that it's just a poor attempt at a cover-up, which only kinda works because everyone else obviously knows it's a cover-up but they are just stumped at what for?? he's afraid that since he's so hated on the server already, if he fails to conform to their expectations he'll just be cast out even more. obviously that wouldn't happen, but considering how young he is and how much trauma he's been through, it's reasonable (and actually very normal) for his brain to just shut down all logical thinking and water it all down to "act in a way so as to survive."
but then it doesn’t even stop there - last night i saw someone point out that THOSE cat/mellohi discs are green and purple, which perfectly go hand-in-hand with the colors of the aro and ace flags that aren’t on the grayscale. and i FLIPPED. OUT. because honestly?? obviously there was more to it than just this, but i like to think that at least part of the reason why people failed to grasp his obsession/connection with those discs that he ruined relationships with others over was due to the comfort he found in those colors, almost as if it’s subtle pride “merch” for himself that didn’t raise any questions in that direction.
and THEN i realized that the allium flower is one single item consisting of both purple and green, so as the number one allium duo enthusiast, i just had to bring ranboo into it somehow, which actually came really easily because i knew just what to do: while ranboo is trying his best to make amends with tommy for whatever reason he’s so hostile to the enderboy for (which tommy refuses to disclose; nothing’s ever confused ranboo more), he does what he does best and simply wants to be there for him during whatever he’s doing through - but while doing so, he accidentally puts too much pressure on tommy to spill it all and kinda forces his little secret about being “broken” out of him completely by accident. ranboo feels bad of course, so he makes it clear that said secret is safe with him (he won’t even tell tubbo without permission, and that is very important to tommy because he doesn’t wanna potentially lose his best friend more than he already has) and that being aroace does Not, in fact, make him broken. ranboo picks an allium from the flower forest nearby and gives it to him the next day, their unspoken symbol of trust and acceptance between each other now.
and honestly? if that’s not enough allium duo bonding content for you? i can keep going! to me, c!ranboo is VERY MUCH heavily-coded to be nonbinary (unaligned but not agender imo, i haven’t decided on that yet) and biromantic-asexual. so he tells tommy this that at least for one half of his orientation, he is not alone, and not only that, but he finds comfort in the neopronouns end/ends and voi/void - he just hasn’t told anyone except tubbo beforehand because he’s afraid of receiving judgement as well. and so, they’re in this safe little lonely box together. :]
sooooo yeah, that just about does it for now! i’ll keep adding as i see fit because i love writing this stuff sososo much and projecting lgbt identities onto characters is so deeply important and personal to me <3

How Hollywood Would Ruin The Dream SMP (Pt. 1/??)
I’ve seen many takes on how the Dream SMP would be ruined if it ever became a Netflix show, so I decided to make my own! (THIS IS PARTIALLY HEAVILY BASED ON @wooteena, @tokenducks, & @clairedreems‘s LISTS [some points are direct quotes from their lists], SO PLEASE CHECK THEIR POSTS OUT FIRST!)
The discs wouldn’t have any sentimental value and would just be used for a petty, never-ending conflict between Tommy and Dream
Niki would be that one female character everyone has a crush on
Other than that she’ll only exist to be Wilbur’s love interest
This will be an important arc in the old L’Manberg days
Technoblade would have no redeeming qualities
Wouldn’t go in-depth on his morals because “the protagonist [Tommy] has to be right”
He’d probably be the “edgy lone wolf” that the audience is expected to simp over
Philza would either be the wise mentor who’s really just a dick to everyone for no reason other than pure entertainment or a straight-up dilf
Bad would be all dark and edgy because he’s a demon and lose his kind and innocent personality
Sam would be seen as this mysterious, looming figure that everyone is intimidated by and lose his caring, “gentle giant” personality
Eret’s usage of all pronouns would be ignored
Eret would be either straight or gay
If she’s gay, she would have all the stereotypical characteristics of a gay man (very feminine, always flirting with other male characters, making comments about his sexuality and attraction to prove to the audience that yes, he’s gay, etc.)
Them being gay would ultimately end up being their entire personality
They would probably get no redemption arc/their redemption arc would be them dying for another character
Eret’s castle would probably look evil and menacing rather than a celebration of pride
Quackity would be the comic relief character with no development
He’d be a drug dealer to endorse the stereotypes about Mexicans rather than to poke fun at them satirically
He’d probably only join L’Manberg after Schlatt dies because he has nothing better to do
Karl would lose his soft and bubbly personality and instead be the biggest playboy despite being on the ace spectrum (which would be scrapped as well)
Tommy’s trauma from exile would just disappear as soon as he joins Techno
Tommy would get a love interest at the end of his story
Bonus: He briefly develops a crush on Drista or Lani 🤮🤮
All the LGBTQ+ relationships would either be nonexistent or treated as jokes
Karlnapity would either be made just to demonize poly relationships or not exist at all
Niki wouldn’t date Puffy because she’ll always pine over Wilbur
DREAMNOTFOUND QUEERBAIT
Or they’d make George a female
Fem!George wouldn’t show up to events because Dream keeps her away from the battles to keep her safe but instead of it being done in a “he cares about her 🥺” way it’s done in a “wow he treats her like a child who cannot defend herself” way [direct quote from @tokenducks’s post] [as are some other points]
Schlatt and Quackity would actually get married but be hella toxic and the show would try to convince the audience that it’s normal (*cough* early 2010s Nickelodeon shows *cough*)
Awful Bad x Puffy x Skeppy/Fem!Skeppy love triangle
Ranboo’s mental issues would be demonized and paint him as dangerous and shady
Ranboo would get a villain arc
Tubbo would be a naive baby and all his choices will be chalked up to that instead of the fact that he’s a kid
Fundy’s tragic character arc will be infantilized and his relationship with Wilbur will be heavily romanticized as “aww he’s got daddy issues uwu 🥺”
Same with Sapnap’s character
E.g. He’ll feel betrayed when he finds out Dream doesn’t care about him but won’t really do anything about it
Or he’ll just kinda just be there and not have much plot relevance
Niki will finally get her own arc about coming to terms with Wilbur’s death but it will ultimately end with her ending up with Jack Manifold
The show won’t have the blurred morality theme that makes every individual character interesting and will instead paint all the characters as either right or wrong
Alyssa will be that one female character whose entire personality is being a strong independent woman (even though she was only around for the early days of the SMP before any real lore happened) and will disappear before the disc saga and never brought up again
Quackity, Fundy, and/or Ranboo would be killed off/not get a happy ending
Callahan, Ponk, and Antfrost will not exist
Mexican Dream will exist but will unironically be played by a white guy
The only characters that will pretty much stay the same are Punz and Purpled, only they’ll be less likeable and Purpled will be aged up
In the end, it would be revealed that Dream has some tragic backstory that made him the way he is and will immediately be let off the hook because “yeah he was an awful person who did awful things but he has a sad past so it’s fine 😭”
The show will be cancelled mid-season 3 because either the writers will feel that the plot’s taking too different of a turn or they’ll get sued for ripping off Stranger Things
There will probably be a part 2 (I didn’t even get started on Wilbur’s character) but it’ll help if you leave suggestions of your own so I can add them to the next part!
[also don’t forget to check out @wooteena, @tokenducks, and @clairedreems’s posts!]

Dream SMP Recap (April 7/2021) - Banquet Invitations
The Eggpire is busy with preparations for the coming feast. After discussing with the Egg, Antfrost and Bad have decided that it would be best for the Egg’s reputation to clean up the Blood Vines over the server.
They go around, offering invitations to a few important guests...
---
VOD LINKS:
Ponk
Nihachu
Foolish
Philza
Wilbur
Ranboo
Badboyhalo
Captain Puffy
---
- Ponk continues to work on his project, and plays an audio sneak peek of his upcoming story:
“Who is Ponk? A question that holds many answers, none quite right, yet all showing a glimpse into a grander truth.
To sum: he is a traitor. Corrupted by a lust for power, and the burden of uncountable betrayals. To others, he is a life-giver and trusted ally. In many ways, he is all these things, within the ever-shifting alliances and world-changing events that occur within the SMP. Ponk is always there in the forefront, influential in ways both obvious and subtle.
But before all this, before the reign of the Egg, or the massacre at Manberg, he stood as one of the founding seven. These tales I will share with you today are those of the bygone times...before two Lemon Trees burned away his heart. Before his once-friend took his arm. A time even before he wore a mask.
Now gather close, and listen to these old man’s words, and let us delve deep into the legends that have brought us to where we are today...”
- “Tip Tup” visits the Arctic to see Phil and finds out that Avondeten has died. He is heartbroken. Top Ten Tip Tup Trauma Moments.
- Tip Tup and Phil hold a funeral for Avondeten. Tip Tup hired Fundy to give a funeral speech in Dutch
- After the solemn speech, Tip Tup chows down on Avondeten. Rest in peace.
- Tip Tup and Phil get a rabbit and talk to Ranboo.
- Tip Tup is an endocrinologist.
- Tubbo arrives. That’s a Top Ten Tip Tup Tubbo Moment.
- Tip Tup blips out of existence. He is no longer in tip top Tip Tup shape.
- Tubbo is in a hole. They attempt to get him out with no luck.
- Tubbo makes noises.
- They push Tubbo out of the hole with water and Tubbo gets into a boat with Ranboo and spins around. Tubboat.
- They find a baby slime. Tubbo names it Squishy Fuck.
- Phil, Ranboo and Tubbo hang out in the Arctic. Tubbo tells Phil about his Soviet radiation horror dreams.
- Bad makes plans to give out invitations to people for the Red Banquet.
- As they prepare for the feast, Bad and the Eggpire have been trying to clean up the server. The Egg has a poor reputation. They discussed it with the Egg and decided that they were coming across too intense, so they have been making peace and cleaning up some of the Blood Vines as a sign of good faith. The Egg has given them permission.
- He demonstrates this by removing a vine.
- Antfrost comes over. They notice that Foolish and Sam are online.
- They remove the Blood Vine off of the flower shop. The Egg approves.
- They head down to the spider spawner and the Egg Room. Bad explains that they may have been been a little too hard on people.
- Antfrost shows him the Red Banquet decorations. Bad says they may have to clean up a bit in the Egg Room.
- At the end of the Red Banquet, everyone will come away loving the Egg. Everyone will be happy.
- The Egg doesn’t mind that it was covered in a colorful shell. It’s like putting on new shoes.
- The banquet is going to be “mind-changing!” So much fun! They head back up to find Sam, thinking he might be at the prison.
- They go over to the prison. The Egg just wants to get along with everybody. The Egg doesn’t hate; it appreciates.
- They meet Sam at the prison entrance and say hello. Sam is holding a clock. Bad and Ant invite him to the banquet. It’ll be fun -- they’ll chill, they’ll party, maybe have some bacon. They tell Sam the party will be held underground near the Egg.
- Sam is skeptical, but Bad says that the Egg wants to say sorry and make things right. Sam starts to come around to it.
- They hand him a block of redstone as a temporary invite. They don’t have proper physical invites at the moment, but Sam says he’s down to go to the banquet.
It’s a “burying the hatchet” type deal. Sam thinks he would like that.
- He hands the two of them several books and quills, explaining that he confiscated them from Dream and they can have them.
- They’ll bury the hatchet in the ground and turn over a new leaf.
- A baby zombie on a chicken runs over. Sam swiftly kills it.
Sam: “There, now no one had time to get attached.”
- Sam says he has a lot of work to do, and he’ll see them soon.
- Next, Bad and Ant decide to reach out to Foolish. They meet with him at Snowchester.
- They’re there on the Egg’s behalf, and would like to extend to Foolish a heartfelt apology for stepping overboard, and they’re there to bury the hatchet, say sorry and give him an invitation to a party.
- Foolish points out that they celebrated Tommy dying in his hotel room. Bad and Ant want to let bygones be bygones and apologize for going too far. The Egg has recognized that it has done wrong.
- Foolish says that while he doesn’t quite accept their apology yet, but he’ll give them one final chance. Bad says they just want to turn over a new egg.
- Foolish says that if anything happens, he will not hesitate to split the Egg open with a lightning bolt. Bad assures him that there will be no surprises, just dancing, partying and food. It’ll be a fun feast.
They give him a temporary invitation.
- Bad and Ant leave. Bad accidentally calls Antfrost “Skeppy” in a slip of the tongue and then explains that he was just thinking about Skeppy, whether to invite him too.
- They wonder if Puffy is available.
- They clear out some more Blood Vines. There’s just been a misunderstanding, and everyone’s making the Egg to be some kind of monster when really, the Egg just wants what’s best for the server.
- Puffy logs on and they speak with her at her house, inviting her to the banquet too. They say it’ll take place down by the Egg. They explain to her that they just want to make amends and bury the hatchet.
- Puffy says she’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Bad hands her a temporary invite.
- The food will be to die for! Not literally, though, of course...
- Puffy says she’ll be there. They’ll talk to her later.
- They leave. Bad is excited for the banquet.
“I promise that everybody who shows up...is not going to be the same when they leave."
(The lore section of the stream is over)
- Bad and Antfrost play around with Drista’s staircase and notice all the pranks on Bad’s mansion
- Fundy logs on and goes AFK on the Prime Path. Bad and Ant get the idea to prank him by pushing him towards the museum. They dig a hole down to bedrock and push him in, then fill in the hole and return to the surface, leaving him down there.
- Fundy appears on the surface while they’re not looking, appearing to still be AFK, and the two are perplexed. They do it a second time.
- They get suspicious and start digging down as they notice Fundy’s nametag isn’t showing. They reach the bedrock and Fundy is nowhere to be seen. They return to the surface only to find Fundy has reappeared there again.
- They dig a new shallow hole and put Fundy in it, only for Fundy to move again while they’re not looking.
- Ranboo logs on and comes over and covers the hole with grass. Out of sight, out of mind.
- Bad boxes Fundy in with blocks with signs on them so that if Fundy breaks the blocks, they’ll be able to tell.
- They check a couple times, but it seems to have worked, and Fundy moves no longer. They decide it must be lag.
- Bad goes to watch the Sad-ist animation but then Fundy reappears on the surface while they’re not looking again, and all of the blocks and signs seem to be intact.
- They put Fundy in the hole again and Bad adds more signs.
- Bad reacts to the Sad-ist animatic with the video playing in the corner of the screen so that he doesn’t look away from Fundy.
- The first time, the volume on the video is too loud, so Bad tabs out to set it up again. Antfrost was supposed to watch Fundy, but when Bad tabs back in Fundy has appeared right in front of him.
- Bad boxes Fundy in again with diorite and stands on top of it so that he’d hear if Fundy broke any blocks and reacts to the animatic a second time.
- Though blocks can be heard breaking during Bad’s second watch, when Bad tabs back in to check on Fundy, Fundy is still there. Antfrost left, though.
- Bad opens the box. Was that torch always there?
- He covers the box back up and goes to end stream, satisfied. But before he does, he checks one more time. The torch is gone.
- The next time he looks, there are two torches.
- Bad stands on top and breaks the roof. Fundy’s head has turned to stare straight at him, unmoving.
- Bad repeatedly places and breaks the block. Fundy’s head moves to look at him whenever the block is broken.
- Bad breaks the block one final time. Fundy turns his head slowly to look at Bad for a moment before logging off and disappearing.
- Bad runs away to end stream.

au//// When someone’s causes you emotional damage or trauma, thin flowers raise from your skin. Most people have, on average, three groups. The people of the DSMP typically have a few more than the average. However, Tommy has significantly more, and people don’t realise.
Tommy’s first set of flowers raise when he’s only seven years old. Phil neglected him for his oldest brother, leaving Wilbur to raise him. The group of five flowers raise when Phil misses his seventh birthday in favor of going on an adventure with Techno. The flowers are green and white, and cover his upper thigh, raised slightly from the skin, the marks being tender and feeling slightly like a petal. He doesn’t tell Wilbur, even as his brother holds him while he cries. He knows what the flowers mean, and he doesn’t want Wilbur to feel even worse for him. Even when wearing shorts, the flowers aren’t visible.
(A small flower is added to the group of five on his thigh when he leaves for the Dream SMP, Wilbur promising to come and meet him soon, while Phil and Techno don’t say anything. The flower hurts a little more when it grows in, and the green petals have a mixture of pink swirled in. He still doesn’t tell anyone)
Tommy’s second set of flowers is smaller, during the Disc Saga with Dream. Two flowers raise from the skin along his shoulder blade, both a shade of green usually associated with the admin he’s at war with. He didn’t feel too hurt by the war, but he felt enough of it. He understood though, even if Dream had invited him to his land, Tommy guesses he was just too much to handle. But Tubbo kept him grounded, so he didn’t back down from the war. They were his discs anyways. The sleeve of his shirt covers the flowers; he keeps it a secret.
Tommy’s third set of flowers bloom when Eret betrayed them for the Dream Team. Six flowers bloom across his chest, hurting while they raise. He had liked Eret, he had thought they were friends. Now he can barely look at the guy without remembering the feeling of betrayal, the words “It was never meant to be” ringing in his ears as he remembers Dream killing him and taking his first life (a new green flower is added to his shoulder blade). He trades his red and white shirt in for a bigger size, so the flowers don’t show through the shirt.
Tommy’s fourth set of flowers grow when Sapnap kills Henry. It hurt more than when Sapnap killed Harold, because Henry’s death was intentional. He liked Sapnap at one point, but they had an unsteady friendship. Henry’s death caused a single cream coloured flower to raise at the skin on the right side of his ribcage, creating a constant reminder of the death of his pet.
Tommy loses sight of when the flowers start to bloom after that. He stops remembering which grew in chronological order, and instead only remembering why they grew in the first place.
More neon green flowers raise across both shoulders as Dream continues to mess with him, sometimes the colour of his discs showing up at the ends of the petals. He adds length to his sleeves, and makes the neckline of his shirt a little higher. It’s okay, no one needs to know. He’s not weak, he’s not sensitive (he knows the amount of flowers he already has say otherwise).
The flowers from Eret hurt less as time moves, the king redeeming himself slightly. The flowers don’t fade, he doesn’t think he ever will, but the pain is almost completely gone.
(When he comes across the Final Control Room with Techno, the pain comes back. It doesn’t leave for a week.)
Schlatt causes a grey flower to raise on the back of his neck. He was Tommy’s idol, and he really thought they were, or could be, friends. But his and Wilbur’s exile proved otherwise. His hair covers the flower easily; he doesn’t have to try hard to hide it.
Quackity’s betrayal of L’manburg for Schlatt makes two small blue flowers bloom right above Schlatt’s grey one. It hurts but is almost completely forgotten when Quackity joins them in Pogtopia later.
He gains five brown and yellow flowers from Wilbur during Pogtopia, covering the left half of his stomach. Four more are added when he blows up L’manburg, one more is added when he sees his brother begging his father to kill him. A huge green and white flower is added to those on his thigh. He doesn’t wear shorts anymore to keep it hidden. All of them cause him pain.
Techno causes four pink flowers to run down his right arm. His brother told him to die and spawned withers. It hurt a lot, but he continued to hide. The flowers were thinner than the others, and he starts wearing a white long sleeved shirt underneath his iconic red and white tee. It hides them perfectly. No one questions the new fashion choice.
Seven yellow and black stripped flowers bloom across his heart when Tubbo exiles him. His best friend exiled him and sent him away for a mistake that he didn’t mean to make. The prank had gotten out of hand.
In Logstedshire, the green flowers across his shoulder blade multiply and grow darker, and he has to ask Ranboo to get him the red and white hoodie he has stored in his home, back in L’manburg. He prepared for this, he knew he was going to be covered in flowers one day. People just didn’t like him. Ranboo doesn’t ask why, he doesn’t see the dark green flowers through the white shirt sleeve.
Dream finds out about his flowers. He’s the first one to ever find out. Dream manipulates and gaslights and abuses him, and he almost jumps into the lava so many times. When Dream blows up Logstedshire, no new flowers are added, but the preexisting ones burn. He almost jumps off the pillar he made. (He doesn’t).
When he finds Technoblade’s cabin, he starts to heal. His flowers hurt less and less as the days go by, but they never leave. They never fade.
But then Dream blames him for blowing up the community house, and he and Tubbo fight after Tubbo gets his disc from the enderchest. A new black and yellow flower is added to the bunch over his heart.
Then he chooses Tubbo over Techno. His best friend over his brother. Both have caused flowers but Tubbo was always there. He doesn’t feel like he’s betrayed Techno; he never agreed to L’manburg getting blown up. And Techno sides with Dream, causing more pink flowers to be added to his arm. He understands though, he did chose the opposite side. It doesn’t matter if his brother was the first one to hurt him.
Fundy and Niki both cause flowers; Niki’s two purple and Fundy’s two orange ones intertwining with each other on his ankles. Niki burned down L’mantree and Fundy sabotaged their war supplies. It’s okay though; they might want him dead but he fucked up in the past. He understands their hatred of him.
Other miscellaneous flowers are spotted across him, and his gives up on trying to remember who all hurt him. His skin is painted with thin petals of all colors, from so many people.
When L’manburg’s been blown up for the last time, Dream’s TNT running out and Techno’s withers being dead, and Phil standing with the two of them looking at their work, Tommy is tired. He struggles to breathe normally, but he doesn’t cry. He’s past that.
Dream looks at him, his mask lifted up just barely enough to see the smug smile on his face. Tommy looks down, looks at the destruction. He’s so tired.
“How many were added?” Dream asks. Tommy knows what he means. Tommy doesn’t respond.
Everyone is listening, just like they did at the community house. They’re confused, but they let it play out, not intervening. They never do.
Tubbo moves closer to Tommy as Dream does. Techno and Phil just watch with the rest.
“I asked a question.” His voice makes Tommy shiver and represss memories of Logsted. “How many flowers were added since I last saw?”
Tommy’s reply is simple: a shrug and a quiet “too many”.
Dream moves before Tubbo has a chance to stop him, and Tommy doesn’t try and defend himself. Dream’s axe slashes at Tommy’s hoodie, cutting away the fabric and revealing the flowers that cover his arms and stomach and shoulders and back. The axe cuts at Tommy’s jeans, the denim peeling slightly and showing a sliver of flowers at his thighs and ankles.
No one knows what to do, no one knows what to say, as Dream reveals the pain of the sixteen year old. None of them have as many flowers as that. A lot of them have more than three bundles, but no where near as many as those on Tommy’s skin.
Tommy just closes his eyes, and breathes in. He turns around and walks away, hearing Dream’s laugh coat the silence in the destruction of the broken country. It’s not until he’s at the stairs of the Prime Path that he hears yelling, everyone accusing others and shouting for revenge at Dream.
Tommy doesn’t notice when he gets to the bench, he doesn’t notice when he sits down and watches the sunset. He only becomes aware of reality once more when he feels Tubbo’s presence behind him.
They don’t say anything. They don’t need to. The silence is comforting.

Hey i saw a post of yours about Niki and i was wondering what's your opinions on the characters in the syndicate
i'm just really interested in different peoples opinions about these things sorry
that's fine, don't worry lol,
(all below is /rp unless stated otherwise)
the syndicate as a whole i think is very ironically oppressive - the four richest individuals on the server, who command power through wealth and fear rather than respect, teaching people that they should live in a system that they believe is free, in which the members of the syndicate would sit at the top of the natural food chain, and the people they're talking to about their ideas of freedom would not thrive (due to a lack of skill, respect, resources etc).
individual members:
techno is very complex, because i'm conflicted as to whether or not i think he's fully aware that he'd sit at the top of the food chain in an anarchist society and knows he'd thrive over others (because of the dog eat dog comment he made to the badlands boys) or if he genuinely believes that anarchy will free everyone. i think overall his perspective as a character is very sheltered, and i don't think he understands the perspectives of others who may want order and believe that institutions, nations and government could be beneficial to their lives. i think he also misses a lot of context, such as how the original l'manberg was a truly special place - not perfect - but it wasn't oppressive (because it wasn't scared of losing it's power), it didn't force anyone to do anything, and it was built on a foundation of trust that only began to fall apart when eret betrayed them (aka when someone intervened.)
phil's another complex one, because his radicalisation is based a lot on grief and past experiences, but again it is still radicalisation, and a lot of it again seems sheltered. once again i think his character could benefit from the context of how l'manberg was before the elections and how beneficial it was for it's members. i also think he'd be the one to benefit the most from knowing how snowchester properly operates and how tubbo is technically it's leader. i think communication between phil and tubbo specifically could really be an eye opener for his character as to how anarchy isn't beneficial for everyone, and how government/nations aren't inherently oppressive. i see phil as a little more empathetic than techno, especially concerning the difference between phil and ranboo's dynamic vs techno and ranboo's dynamic (in which ranboo is still somewhat fearful of techno - still waiting on ranboo's reaction to learning about techno taking tubbo's second life), and so i hope if that conversation ever comes about, phil can be somewhat understanding that tubbo thrives best in nations because people like him and jack are fearful of powerful individuals because all they've done is cause them grief and take from them, and that doomsday taught them not about anarchy, but about how they should fear the powerful.
ranboo as a character, and this might in part be due to how young he is and his memory issues, is extremely naive. his solutions to problems read about as well as 'i think the thing that would help the most is world peace'. he's very well known for his ideas of not picking sides, and cc!ranboo is very open and admits that his character is a hypocrite in the sense that he may not know at some points that he's choosing a side that can hurt his friends. i think he's definitely naive for believing that the syndicate is capable of stopping conflicts, and i want to see if at some point he's thrown between two sides and his ideas of not picking a side and picking the obvious right side (either ideologically, or it's the one that protects his friends/innocent people) conflict. i also would like to see him build trust with other characters, especially with tommy, because i think the two could benefit from helping each other out with their dream trauma specifically, and because i think tommy's the person who best fits the criteria to help ranboo with the fourth book (not exactly the most morally pure but getting better/still somewhat a good person who stands up to bullshit, unaffiliated with any groups, can keep secrets).
niki i've been very openly critical about as a character, mainly because in stories i operate under the idea that if a character can be omitted from a retelling of the overall story, it shouldn't be there, but this is a roleplay series so that fallacy doesn't really work. she doesn't add much to the syndicate other than my annoyance of it to be honest. her views towards new l'manberg are hypocritical and somewhat aggravating, especially since she left it fairly quickly for someone who fought to get it back in pogtopia - she technically left on two occasions when she made her secret city during tubbo's presidency, and when she left with fundy to found drywaters. she had no reason to be mad at l'manberg as she had no affiliations with it. i also don't really like her 'healing arc', because her version of healing is also 'villain niki', which i fucking despise, because it reads as if her version of healing is turning on her friends and dictating how they should live as if she's not entitled and as if she knows better. genuinely, and i know this may sound overly negative, i don't find any redeeming qualities in her character, and cc!niki needs to either decide whether or not her character is angry and vengeful against people who never wronged her, or soft and kind and healing, because to me those two archetypes conflict a lot. she's the one type of traitor that the fandom subconsciously doesn't even recognise as a traitor, and has decided she doesn't need to redeem herself for how she treated tommy and how she treated her friends in l'manberg.
i see the syndicate overall as a villainous group, which, you can argue all day about how 'there are no good or evil people in the dream smp they're all morally grey' all day, but there are, and even the creators acknowledge it. pretty much all cc's acknowledge the alignment charts, people refer to their character's arcs as villain arcs or hero arcs etc. this doesn't mean that i hate the syndicate, it just means that i see them as morally and functionally in the wrong in comparison to groups like snowchester (and honestly, i think rooting for the heroes has become kind of underrated at this point. i'm a sucker for happy worlds that are good; built on compromise and understanding, what can i say?)
sorry if i seem overly critical about them, i don't mean to (so i won't maintag it), but i hope this explains my perspective a little!

Headcanon/idea/theory for ageing on dsmp
People age depending on their mental states. If they feel like they haven't aged or need to not have aged, they don't. In reverse, if they feel like they need to get older NOW they age at a more rapid rate. Otherwise they age at a normal rate where 1 bio year is the same as 1 temporal year.
Onto evidence/implications. This is the most fun with Tubbo, Tommy, Fundy, and Wilbur.
Fundy is interesting as despite being Wilbur's son and born during the revolutionary era, he is typically shown and considered to be an adult, or at least older than the 17 yr olds. With my aging concept, this could have occurred due to Fundy feeling as though he needed to be an adult in part due to his relationship with his father. Wilbur tends to be absent in Fundys life. As such, the fox forced himself to literally grow up too fast in an attempt to be more useful to his father and also in order to be able to take care of himself. Minds would likely age slower than bodies, being part of the reason Fundy threw himself under the care of those in power, first Shlatt, and now Quackity with little to no realization that this decision would have negative effects on both him. After all these people are not in this relationship to take care of Fundy, but to use him or work with him. Think a literal child in an adults body.
Tubbo and Tommy are the opposite, adults trapped in a younger body. Most agree that the pair were child soldiers in both the revolution and the pogtopia events. These events are still very much defining their lives and what came after. They never grew past these events, literally and metaphorically. Age regression is a known response to trauma, this would be a form of it. It would also explain why Tommy had his 17th bday. He had started to put the past behind him so was able to grow past it literally as well.
Some may be looking at Tubbo and going what do you mean Soren? He isn't stuck in the revolution or pogtopia. Well, think again. He was executed during pogtopia, and due to his conversation with Ranboo I do not think he is as past it as he may seem. Add onto that, he was functionally forced in to a high stress job immediately following the traumatic events of the 16th. Events during said job just traumatized him more, leading him to build a literal nuclear arsenal to protect himself even after the fall of lmanburg and imprisonment of Dream.
Before we look at Wilbur, let's look at how this would cause aging to appear in such a society. Depending on the situation, rapid aging would be either rewarded or seen as the sign of trauma it really is. In the time Fundy was aging, it was probably rewarded, compounding the issue.
Slowed or halted aging on the other hand, would probably be looked down on as it proves that they cannot move beyond a certain point in there lives. Despite the obvious indication it is, I doubt it would often cause those aging too slow to receive proper help, particularly when it happens to children and teens. After all, 'life is not as hard for children and teens.' /sarcastic
With that in mind, let's look at Wilbur. Wilbur has given out ages that have been entirely disproven or ignored. Using my idea of aging, these are the ages that the stated characters SHOULD be in the absence of age manipulation as a result of the traumatic events. And Wilbur himself…. Despite revivebur theoretically being 50ish he very much does not act it. He also very clearly has not moved past the events of pogtopia. As such I believe his age has halted just as much as Tommy and Tubbo, but he refuses to admit it. He refuses to admit he has a problem even when he is staring at it in the mirror. This expanded to his view of the others of the server. He cannot face that the others have a clear problem bc that means facing that something truelly bad happened and needs to be faced. Fundys rapid age was accepted and praised bc it helped him. For the same reason, he will use Tommy's bio age to manipulate him while also refusing to admit that it is evidence that Tommy has not been processing what he has been through.
And just because I like angst, let's look at Tommy's exile sentence though this age. 'exile till 18' would change to mean 'exile until you grow up, grow past your issues' without offering the proper help. Rather than being 2 year, it would become indefinite as exile worsened Tommy's mental state, perpetuating his inability to grow up rather than helping it.
Honestly could keep going, but I am writing this on my phone in a moving car so I'm am going to stop before I hit a no service zone. Please respond with any theories or questions you have around this idea
