For batjoke is it on every version of Batman or a special version ?
Ooh, this is actually a very complex question! In most versions where Batman and Joker appear together, they share a complex relationship complete with flirtation, tension, and subtext. The really unhinged things take place in comics and in games, but there is some good stuff in the movies and a TV show, too, so I'll cover everything briefly.
In comics, it's repeatedly stated that Joker is in love with Batman; Batman is also said to love Joker. They are married in one of AU universes; they lose any purpose when they think the other is dead; everyone criticizes them for their unhealthy, destructive obsession with each other, but they can't stop. The problem is that there is like a million comics, many of which take place in different continuity, and it's impossible to cover them all even if you want.
The Batjokes-heavy games are Arkham Origins, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight (chronologically). If you don't want to play them, you could watch the excerpts on YouTube. Here's a great example, 3 minutes that basically reflect the essence of Batjokes:
youtube
Another game is Batman: Telltale, which also has Batjokes.
Now, as for movies… If you want to get a feel of the dynamic between Batman and Joker, you could watch the 5-minute ending of the animated film The Killing Joke.
youtube
It struck me deeply because Batman went through the movie being cold and serious, not smiling once. Joker did horrifying things to his friends here, yet in the end, Batman urges Joker to let him help him. Joker considers it and refuses, but with obvious regret, and then he tells a joke, and Batman bursts out laughing. He then leans close and touches Joker as he keeps laughing with abandon. This is a beautiful scene, it underlines the complexity of their dynamic, and the joke itself speaks volumes.
The Dark Knight movie is the most well-known and it inspired tons of Batjokes. I wouldn't say it has much of it, but it still teases a fascinating dynamic, and it's a brilliant movie by itself. Here's a scene of Batman and Joker having their first lengthy conversation.
youtube
There is Gotham TV show. It features young Bruce and young Joker who is called Jeremiah. Their relationship starts out late, at the end of S4, and everything is rushed because the show was cancelled prematurely, but it still wraps everything up and it has brilliant moments. A great fan-edit about that version of Joker, with some Batjokes teasing (Joker is presented both as pretty and as disfigured after the acid bath - it's the same person).
youtube
There is a Batjokes-focused fan-edit here, but it has some spoilers.
The latest Batman movie of 2022 teased a great Batjokes dynamic. Here's the scene:
youtube
From more light-hearted stuff, there is a Lego Batman movie. I was hesitant to watch it at first, but I liked it and it has probably the most explicit romantic Batjokes :D
Harley Quinn animated series (2019) has some great Batjokes moments, too. Like, in E1 alone, Joker has to choose between saving Batman and his own girlfriend, and he chooses Batman; in E2, he's jealous and keeps claiming Batman is his, and so on.
This has gotten much longer than I expected :D

Bruce Wayne’s financial history (minus the Batman expenses)
DISCLAIMER: THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE OTHER BIG AND OR UNNECESSARY USELESS PURCHASES!!!!
For example, in The New Batman Adventures episode 10, Bruce Wayne goes to an auction with Tim Drake. He ends up buying a rare magical artifact for his friend for one million dollars. Or another time like in Gotham the TV series season 4 episode 3, Bruce buys a knife for Two Million dollars. This also does not include any of his Batman expenses. Only Bruce Wayne’s purchases. Because I know the Bat-cave, the Bat-mobile, the Bat-computer, the Bat-suit, the bat-gadgets, etc, blah, blah, blah, all had to have costed a pretty penny. It would take forever to track down all of his expenses.
”How many companies does Bruce Wayne own?”
He owns six companies, not including any co-companies. He owns:
Wayne Enterprises (along with other Wayne companies)
Bruce Wayne has many companies under the Wayne name. Such as:
Wayne Biotech
Wayne Industries
Wayne Aerospace
Wayne Shipping
Wayne Foundation
Wayne Medical
Wayne Steel
Wayne Botanical
Wayne foods
Wayne Corp
Wayne Automotive
Wayne Pharmaceuticals
The Daily Planet
Yes, Batman actually gives Superman his salary. Bruce bought the ownership over the Daily Planet. Why? I dunno. He just did.
A Disco Club
In the Gotham TV show season 4 episode 7, Bruce Wayne has bought a disco club when they refused him entry.
A Hotel
Bruce bought a hotel in the movie Batman Begins because the two women Bruce was with wanted to swim in the pool but the manager asked them to leave so Bruce bought the hotel to change its rules.
A Bank
In The Justice League 2017 movie, Bruce bought a bank to pay off Clark’s debt.
Clark Kent : "Thank you, Bruce" is not enough for what you did.
Bruce Wayne : I just undid a mistake, that's all.
Clark Kent : How did you get the house back from the bank?
Bruce Wayne : I bought the bank.
A Record company
In the 1970’s Batman comic issue (Batman #222) Bruce Wayne invests in a record label known as Eden Records.
Questions:
“How rich is Bruce Wayne?”
This is a tricky question. The thing is, there isn’t really a set-in-stone answer. It depends on the comic, the writer, etc. but from what I have found, Bruce Wayne’s net worth is $80 billion dollars in Batman #93 (2018). Wayne Enterprises is estimated to be worth at around $31.3 billion dollars, and I’ll have to assume the rest is from his other smaller companies and or his investments that have been proven to be profitable and successful.
“How did Bruce Wayne get so rich?”
He was rich even before he was even born. His wealth comes from his long line of family. When Bruce’s great, great, great grandfather bought property back when Gotham was more of a small town and less of a busy city. This real estate fortune grew rapidly overtime and was passed onto Bruce’s great grandfather, Alan Wayne. Alan was the one who developed the railroads as well as the shipping ports and chemical plants in Gotham city. And this all happened during the Industrial Revolution. Bruce’s grandfather, Patrick Wayne, then inherited the companies that Alan had built. Patrick then created the Wayne Corporation, AKA Waynecorp after the Great Depression and the company expanded into technology. They then supplied the American army with aircraft’s and ships during the pacific war. Then this company was passed onto Bruce’s father, Thomas Wayne, who built Gotham’s monorail, and then Bruce eventually inherited it himself.

Hey can I please request some dating headcanons for The riddle aka Edward like how would he be with a s/o?
Sure thing, love!
Part 2 is >>HERE<<
🫀REQUESTS ARE OPEN🫀
Dating the Riddler - Headcanons
Tumblr media
'Stalker turns boyfriend' material
Made a shrine dedicated to you the same day you met for the first time
Shows it to you later on as proof of his undying love
Let's just rip the bandaid off: comes off a bit incel-ish
He's insecure, has a fear of abandonment, and has both anger and trust issues
And that means he's about as clingy and obsessive as one can get
Eddie just wants to be loved unconditionally but cannot comprehend (yet) what it means to be loved at all
Easily jumps to conclusions
If you don't text/call him back immediately, he's already thinking you're cheating on him or you want to break up
Which, obviously, isn't true
He can't comprehend why you'd fall in love with him
You know that one bit from Imagine Dragons' Polaroid?
You are the pay raise Always a touch out of view And I am the colour of boom
Eddie thinks you're too good for him in every way, shape and form. Like a beggar that found a Kalahari diamond
This could melt into him subconsciously sabotaging himself or the relationship in the early stages
Because of that, he's convinced that one day you'll see it too and leave him, so any men you know and aren't related to are suspicious to him
Too anxious to make the first move BUT:
He's the first one to say "i love you" but it's blurted out on accident
Eddie's very observant and shows his love through small, seemingly insignificant acts
Let's take a pan of brownies for example. Whatever piece you prefer (side/corner/centre), he'd leave it for you no questions asked
You're not allowed to leave the house alone after dark
Additionally, he always wants to know where you are, with whom and what you're doing
He's chronically online, so his knowledge about relationships comes from social media, porn and TV
You'll have to straighten a few things out
At first, he keeps his Riddler alter-ego a secret but then he learns that you share similar if not identical views about Gotham
Then he proudly presents his work believing it's going to impress you (it did)
Listening to niche indie music together
He boasts about you to anyone who's willing to listen
Doing Wordle over breakfast
He's ready to cry and scream and kick his feet when you call him 'babe' or 'baby'
Holds you tight or doesn't
Regularly bawls his eyes out at how nice domestic life with you is
Always puts you first, in everything
Reads out loud to you
Likes to lay with his head on your stomach
Treats you like an actual deity who shouldn't have to come in contact with the filth of mortals (him being the merciful exception)
Needs a lot of verbal reassurance that you DO love him, that you ARE attracted to him
Rarely speaks out about how he feels about you or how you make him feel. That bit is left for when he has Riddler's mask on and the confidence it gives him
You often try to explain to him that the mask itself doesn't magically give him courage out of thin air. It's already somewhere inside him
He can't believe that although wants to
He won't explicitly say it but he yearns to be babied
You're more than willing to give it to him
Always has time for you
Very warm, comforting hugs
Takes him A LOT of time to open up
He's just afraid of getting hurt, you know?
But love is patient, so you never made him feel bad about needing more time to earn his trust
Swoons at any attention he can get from you
Wearing his clothes does something to him - pokes at an obsessive beast sitting deep inside him
Definitely throws tantrums if you don't spend enough time with him
He wants to be your #1 like you are to him
Eddie physically cannot get angry at you. You're so idealized in his mind that whatever wrongdoing you commit was actually the fault of the circumstances or other people.
Always complimenting you and singing praises
Big on PDA but gets a bit shy about it
He's also incapable of denying you anything, so be careful what you wish for! You might just get it
His manhunt for corruption only gets more intense after getting together with you
Because now it's not only about him but also about you - the very person Gotham could never deserve to be the home to
Eddie gets worked up quickly but you know how to calm him down
You occasionally appear on his streams but on accident
Like bringing him coffee while he's working-streaming, so his followers just see you from the waist down and hear your voice
The audience is, as always, divided. Some like you, some don't
Those that don't are further divided into two groups: the ambivalent ones and the 'haters'. Whoever falls into the second group, openly hating your existence for whatever reason, gets mysteriously doxxed, falls victim to an unfortunate accident or simply disappears in the middle of the night
There are multiple Reddit threads speculating who you really are
[Eddie anonymously posts theories/investigations to throw people off]
Those that do like you, however, get a bit too invested
If a masked guy is watching/following you it's most probably Riddler's devoted fan keeping an eye on his idol's beloved. Eddie never confirmed nor denied whether he had something to do with it...
You always carry glass wipes with you
When you're upset, he has a hard time deciding between lashing out at whoever/whatever upset you or staying with you
You're the only thing he can think about while in Arkham
Probably rants about you to Joker
He can't be a complete loser if he has you, right?

In Gotham News today, Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face was taken into custody again last night by Batman and Black Bat after an attempted bank robbery on Miagani Island. Witnesses say Two-Face and his gang members put up a tough fight. Video evidence shows Black Bat breaking Two-Face’s jaw in an attempt to put him down nonlethally. More on the story at seven with a doctor from Gotham General giving how much time recovery will take for—
She shut the TV off and put the remote down, sighing as she started refolding the towels she had previously been doing before the news had come on. Jason leaned on the back of the couch, rolling over until he was sitting at the end, slouching down. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but anytime Two-Face comes on TV, you always shut it off. And it’s only with Two-Face, never any other supervillain we beatdown and take into custody.”
Without looking up from the towels, she simply said, “I know.”
Jason watched her. “What happened between you and Harvey Dent, ma? We’ve seen the pictures in the hallway. You, dad, and him used to be conjoined at the hips.”
“It’s in the past, Jason. There’s no need to dredge up old memories.”
“Ma, c’mon, this is me we’re talking about.”
“Jason, nothing happened between Harvey and I—”
“Mama, I know you better than any of my siblings. And I know you’re bullshitting me right now. You go see the fucker almost every month and spend at least two hours talking with him. You’re seriously gonna bullshit me that nothing ever happened between you two?”
She glared at him. “Watch your mouth, young man or I’ll wash your mouth out with Dawn dish soap.”
He raised his hands in surrender. “Look, if you don’t wanna talk about it, I get it, really, but it seems like you just get more and more depressed about it every time you see him.”
“I know,” she murmured, setting the towel aside and she laid her hands on her lap; with a sigh, she started, “Your dad, me, and Harvey have known each other since we were in elementary school. When Bruce went to the school for boys, I went with him because I begged my parents to let me come. I knew Bruce needed back up.”
Jason snorted. “You and an entire school of boys? Can’t imagine that went well.”
“It didn’t. The three of us got into fights with boys who wouldn’t leave me alone almost all the time.” She smiled. “It…immediately became a friendship between us three like none other. Wherever I went, they went. Wherever they went, I went. You couldn’t find us apart from each other…”
“Until…?”
“Until your dad went away to train and I…stayed with Harvey.”
Jason connected the dots. “The two of you got together.”
She smiled off down the hallway, a gentle sort of happiness he’d only seen her wear around his dad. “Harvey used to wake me up in the morning by rolling on top of me and smothering me in ‘I love you’s’ until we laughed so hard, we would cry.” She swallowed thickly. “We dated for almost seven years.”
“Why’d it end?” he asked.
“Harvey went to law school, I moved to Coast to work. It was an amicable split. We were still friends, just different life paths. She cleared her throat. “And then your dad got back and then I came home…the two of us just sort of…connected. With your dad…everything just fell into place.”
“Was Harvey supportive?”
“Absolutely,” she huffed with laughter. “He swore up and down he was going to be my maid of honor and your dad’s best man even if he had to sew a wedding dress and suit together and occasionally walk on either side of us.” Jason snorted and she couldn’t help but laugh too. “He was at our wedding. He walked me down the aisle to your dad.”
Jason saw the way her expression began to turn with grief. “And then as Batman began to grow in Gotham…the attack happened.”
“Yes,” she whispered, looking at her hands. “I…had never felt such heartache in my life as watching Harvey split right down the seam into Two-Face.”
“You loved him.”
“I still do,” she answered clearly, gazing at him with tears in her eyes. “Harvey was the only other man besides your dad that I’ve ever loved. That I’ve ever shared everything with. My heart breaks for him all the time. I know that it isn’t Harvey doing those things, it’s Two-Face.” She looked away. “And I hate that I can’t stop loving him at times. If I could let him go, I would, but…”
“You know that Harvey’s in there and that he still needs you.”
“Yes.”
“Does dad know how you feel about Harvey?”
“Of course. I’ve never hidden anything from him. At times…I know he feels the same about Harvey too.” She sniffled and wiped her eyes. “Don’t get me wrong, Jay, I love your dad. I married him because he’s my soulmate. But if it came down to saving either him or Harvey from certain death, I’d choose your dad, but the fact is that it would take me down to the last second to do it.”
Jason shuffled the towels out of the way and wrapped his arms around her, gently resting his chin on top of her head. “You’re a good woman, mama.”
“I’m not as good as I could be, baby boy,” she answered tearfully. “I should be better.”
“Nah,” he murmured. “You’re the best as they come.” Jason gently squeezed her. “And for the record, Harvey knows how much you care about him, mama.”
“I hope so,” she said, and patted his thigh. “Let me up though, I gotta go start dinner.”
“Nope,” Jason retorted, hugging her tighter. “We’re gonna chill here for a hot second and feel better.”
She laughed and rested her head on his shoulder. “Thank you, baby boy.”
“Always, mama.”

A quick guide to recent Harvey Dent media for new fans (aka Misha stans)
So you've recently become interested in the character of Harvey Dent. Who can say why. Maybe you're interested in getting into comics and he happens to be the one character that's caught your fancy. Maybe you're here because you've been watching this recent TV show and are curious to know more about this one adult guy in the main cast. He seems like a cool guy! Though let's be honest. You're probably a Misha stan who got into Gotham Knights because your boi is in it. Regardless of why you're here, maybe you're looking at this character and wondering what's come out with him lately and if you should check it out! So here! For your viewing/reading pleasure, a quick run-down on Harvey's most recent appearances and where you can expect to see him!
This post is very long, so strap in kiddos!
Gotham Knights
You're likely here because you've been watching this one, so I'll keep this brief. In this latest TV show, Batman has died and was revealed to be Bruce Wayne. A bunch of kids are the top suspects and are being accused by Gotham District Attorney, Harvey Dent. The kids now need to work together to prove their innocence and find the real killer.
I don't plan on watching this show, but Harvey Dent is being played by Misha Collins of Supernatural fame in this one, and it promises to really dive into Harvey's backstory. As of writing this, only the first episode is out, but what we have so far looks entertaining and has been well received by the Misha stans at least. Reviews more generally do seem pretty lukewarm on it though. I can't speak to its quality, but hopefully it's a promising start to what will hopefully be a good portrayal of the character! Who knows what'll happen!?

The Harley Quinn Show
This show is currently in between seasons, and I don't know when it's coming back. It's a show that focuses on Harley Quinn as she tries to become a top villain in Gotham. The first season is her trying to gain respect from the Legion of Doom after breaking up with the Joker. The second season is based off of the "No Man's Land" event that happened in the Batman and related comics in the 90's or something in which the American government decided to give up on Gotham after a disaster, and so Gotham's top kingpins took over the city. Season 2 focuses on Harley's efforts to kill off each of the 5 villains (The Penguin, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, and Bane) that have risen to power in Gotham. Season 3 sees Harley not really wanting to pursue villainy anymore as she starts being in a relationship with Poison Ivy.
It's a fun show. Pretty funny, incredibly violent, and very gay! If you want to see a sympathetic Two-Face, this is NOT the place to find it! In this series, Two-Face sticks pretty true to his name and is a lying, backstabbing asshole through and through! But hey! The fact that he isn't dead yet when they've had every opportunity to kill him off could mean that they might have something fun planned for him in the future! Hard to say though. In any case, here's his latest appearance in the show as of the writing of this:
youtube
The Joker's wife almost takes a tire iron to his face and I love that for her lol. Two-Face a supreme asshole in this show. But he definitely does have lots of chances to be pretty funny. I think that he still has potential for development and storylines, but thus far he's been pretty one-note. It feels like a DAMN SHAME to not use Two-Face more given the direction that this show is taking, so I have hopes that they'll do something interesting with him soon. (Harley became Bruce's therapist and so the show may take a turn for more interpersonal character drama with psychology thrown in over superhero junk. Feels like a wasted opportunity to not capitalize on Harvey's storied mental health issues for that!) But for now, he's a great antagonist to Harley (and everyone, really), fun to watch for how much of an asshole he is, but isn't much more than that.
Task Force Z
So you've heard of the Suicide Squad before, right? Basically a lot of supervillains join a government taskforce to go on missions that no one else would take. They do the kind of dirty work that superheroes could do, but for whatever reason don't. And the villains that participate in this program get lessened sentences in exchange for their service on these missions. Yeah. So take that... But now it's with zombies. Undead Suicide Squad!
So in this comic, Two-Face recruits Jason Todd (who was formerly one of Batman's Robins but who now has the superhero identity of the Red Hood) to be the field leader of this special undead Suicide Squad taskforce. They have a way of bringing people back from the dead, so instead of getting lessened prison time, the supervillains participating in this program get another chance at life.
I've only read the first issue of this series so far, but I do honestly like what I've read so far. The series is over now, and it's recently been collected into 2 volumes, so it should be pretty easy to find to buy if you so wish! (I've also found both volumes at my local library too!) When it comes to Harvey in this series, honestly, the relationship between him and Jason seems to be a big highlight! Which honestly makes sense. They're both men who have made a lot of mistakes and want to be better. Both have violent pasts, have killed people, and struggle with being on the side of the angels, but are doing what they can to do what's right. If they work together, maybe they can finally be the good guys! Also Jason Todd is probably Harvey's favorite Robin since he's Robin #2, let's be honest. Too bad they're terrible at their jobs! The impression that I get is that their team is constantly dying because Harvey and Jason are both dumbasses and bad at their jobs. Thankfully they can bring their team back to life pretty easily, but they keep sucking at their jobs! The vibe I get from Harvey and Jason's relationship in this series is basically...
Harvey: Are you winning, son!? :D Jason: I fucking hate you, Dent! Harvey: ... I guess that's an improvement over, 'asshole' ... Little steps...
But hey. They're trying their best lol.
Here's the first thing with Harvey in it that I saw in the Task Force Z tag:
Tumblr media
[Source]
(You see in the next panel that Harvey got Jason orange juice. Isn't Harvey such a dad!?) And honestly, if that doesn't make you smile just a little, this series probably isn't for you.
Honestly, this series just seems to be having fun with it and a good time. It doesn't seem to take itself very seriously, and that's perfectly good with me! If that's good with you, maybe check it out!
Batman: the Audio Adventures
So this is a podcast. It's currently on a break as of the writing of this. Season 2 came out, and at the end of season 2, it said that it would be returning in part 2 so like... On the one hand, it ended on a cliffhanger. On the other AHHHHHHHHHHH! So I hear that a part 2 is coming out but WHEN!? If you decide to pick this one up, just know that more is supposed to be coming, we just don't know when.
So the story for this... It's Batman but a podcast. What more needs to be said? But it is a very quality podcast! I've listened to a decent number of podcasts in my time, and this may just be the best podcast I've had the pleasure of listening to! It's funny, it's dramatic, it's well-acted, it has spectacular music, it's moody, the characters are well-written... It's just a delight all around! It's on the same level of quality as audio dramas that I've actually had to pay money to listen to, but for free on Spotify or YouTube or other places you get podcasts! And this may contain my favorite iteration of Two-Face and Harvey Dent.
The Audio Adventures somehow manages to make Harvey a character that you're simultaneously afraid of and afraid for! Harvey and his Associate are horrifically violent, and yet you can't help but to feel bad for Harvey. To my knowledge, they really capture the OCD experience well. You can really feel how much their compulsions control Harvey and how much he wishes he didn't have to be like this. His life is fully out of his control and he well and truly can't help himself. And his Associate just isn't helping. This is an iteration of Two-Face in which he has Dissociative Identity Disorder, has him be a villain, and yet somehow manages to not inherently demonize DID. Harvey's Associate is a welcome addition to the cast, and for once isn't someone that they're trying to get rid of! Harvey is simply tragic in this podcast, but is also immensely intelligent, and the way he bounces off of his Associate is just captivating to listen to.
If you like BruHarvey, or just want to see a piece of media that really zooms in on the tragedy of his character, this is a great one to go with! In terms of BruHarvey, there are some moments in season 2 that are choice. Just. Chef's kiss!
Here's a monologue that Harvey and his Associate have together about shoulder angels and devils. It doesn't have much of anything to do with what Harvey's going through in this season, but it does capture their characters well.
tumblr_video
They are absolutely unhinged, and I gotta say that I love that about them <3
The Doom that Came to Gotham
This animated film came out like... Within this last month. I haven't gotten the chance to watch it yet and I don't know that I will because it contains a LOT of upsetting things! It's Batman, but with eldritch horror! This is an Elseworld's story. This film is basically an H.P. Lovecraft-style AU for Batman. So it takes place sometime in the 1920's, and Harvey Dent is running for Mayor of Gotham. And then lots of terrible things happen and before you know it, demons from another dimension are going through a flesh portal to Gotham to kill everyone. This is NOT a happy story from what I've heard!
If you want to see Harvey just... Suffering SO much, then this is the film for you! Congrats! Apparently it also has a handful of good BruHarvey moments in it though, so at least have that.
For a preview... Here! Just have Harvey crying! I feel like that's a pretty appropriate preview!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Batman (comic series)
So... In the current Batman comic book arc, Bruce Wayne has apparently gotten himself sent to an alternate universe where Batman was never really a thing (Bruce died young or something). And so now Gotham is controlled by a cabal of villains, led by Red Mask, Catwoman, and others including a drugged up and YOLKED Judge-esque Harvey Dent! Sounds like Gotham has become a pretty crappy police state that uses the Scarecrow's Fear Toxin and a police force drugged up on Bane Venom to keep people in line and send dissenters to the sewer. Bruce meets up with the local resistance and becomes Batman for them... Also Commissioner Gordon is a talking skeleton for some reason... >.>
I don't read the Batman comic series, so I can't personally speak to the quality of this current arc, but I've heard that it's been good! From multiple sources! Just not in regards to Harvey lol! Honestly, this Harvey looks a bit... Boring. Interesting idea, but the execution is looking kinda... Ehhhhh. Speaking of execution, in this, Harvey really isn't Two-Face. He seems to be taking after an idea that Batman: the Animated Series introduced of a Judge vigilante that murders people that he deems as guilty of crimes! :D I like the Judge and want to see them do more interesting things with him! Too bad that this might not be it... >.< But hey! If you want a 'roided up Harvey... For some reason... Here you go!
Tumblr media
[Source]
An image of Bruce choking Harvey out because this is what their friendship is all about. u.u (Also Bruce calling Harvey a big boy just tickles me!)
Also Harvey does seem to recognize Bruce in this universe and is quite bothered by how a man has seemingly come back from the dead to kick his ass! So there is some implication here that Harvey and Bruce were still friends of some kind in this universe.
I'm not reading this one, but hey! If this AU idea sounds interesting to you, go ahead and check it out!
Detective Comics
So last but certainly not least, you have the comic series for which the company is named. Now this I actually have been reading! And let me just say, it's quality! Great stuff going on here! Basically they decided to make an Opera-esque Batman story. This current arc is titled, "Gotham Nocturne" and to put the story in as simple of a manner as I can... So the Arkhams (who built Arkham Asylum) descended from the Orgham family which are very powerful foreign dignitaries of some sort. The Orghams have come to Gotham City to gentrify the place to their liking so that they can rule over it unopposed. They are doing this through mind control brain demons, sentient songs, and are just generally trying to burn Gotham City to the ground right now, especially the poorer neighborhoods. Also Bruce is feeling old and has a bat demon from another dimension living in his brain right now. Also Harvey's been GREAT in this story so far!
So when you get a comic book, there will sometimes be a second, shorter story packed in with the main story that you bought the comic for towards the back of the book hence the term "Back-Up Features". Often these stories are unrelated to the main one, but in this case, the stories they've been telling in these back-up features relates to the events of the main one. And so Harvey and Two-Face got their own little story in the back-up features... And that story was excellent! Basically, Harvey has been forced into serving the Orghams against his will and is not very happy about it at all. He has no choice. If he tries to resist the Orghams, the brain demon that they gave him would melt his brain. But Two-Face is not effected by this brain demon and can do whatever he wants... Now if only Harvey would let him have control of the body... This story does a great job of unpacking Harvey and Two-Face's tense history together, and really gets at the heart of their conflict which ultimately culminates in them deciding to try and work together instead of against each other. And honestly, it's simply a wonderful story that addresses their plurality and shows that Harvey and Two-Face are important to each other and in fact need one another! In this story, their plurality isn't an issue that needs to be cured. It's a blessing in disguise and allows them to do things that no one else could! It's a deeply plural story that simply could not be told with a singlet and is everything that I want out of a Two-Face story! You can tell that this story cares deeply for plural people and wants to do them justice! It's a story that rejects the idea that Harvey should strive to live his life as close to a singlet as he can and embraces his plurality, saying that Two-Face isn't someone who deserves to be eradicated, but rather is a person that deserves to be understood and loved as much as any other human being!

This story has so much LOVE for plural people and the individuals that they share their system with. And I genuinely hope that they feel it. It's wonderful and a Two-Face story like none other that has been created thus far for him... And that's a damn shame. It's a shame that there aren't more stories like this. And therefore it's a story that you should read! And this is just the back-up story! There's more good stuff in the main story! Two-Face killed a goddamn werewolf in the main story! :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Source] (That guy he shoots is a werewolf, trust me.)
And we're still in only the FIRST act of this Batman opera! We have a LONG way to go until the end of this story, and it promises to be incredible if the quality keeps up!
Sadly, Harvey may have departed from the story for now. After Two-Face saved Batman in the images above, and got Bruce fixed up a bit, Two-Face basically threatened Batman, telling him to leave them alone and that if he tries curing Harvey ever again, that he'll torture and kill everyone Bruce loves and then himself, and then he exited stage left. But hopefully he'll turn up again in the story! I hope he does at least! If he doesn't I'll be real sad and upset!
-
And so there you have it! Some of Harvey Dent's most recent appearances and where you can find some of the most recent stories he's in! Even if you don't end up checking any of these out, hey! At least now you know where you can look into the character a little more and know a little of what's going on in the Batman universe right now!

Gotham Knights Characters in Comics: A Guide For Non-Comic Readers
Are you a Gotham Knights viewer curious about what your new faves are like in the source material? Well, you're in luck, because I love to talk about them!
I'll preface this by saying that while I haven't actually sat down and watched the show, I have read the full episode transcripts. Additionally, if you're wondering where Turner, Cressida, or Rebecca and/or Brody March are in this post, they're original characters for the show and have no comic book counterparts.
(characters are in no particular order)
Carrie Kelley/Robin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Carrie originates from Frank Miller's 1986 graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns. TDKR takes place in a (non-canonical) not-too-distant future where Batman has retired after the death of Jason Todd (the second Robin; his death happened in main continuity too, Bruce just responded... differently to it), but takes the cape back up for... reasons. I haven't actually read this comic despite how influential it is (basically every hyper-macho, weirdly-militarized, violence-glorifying take on Batman owes its existence to this comic, which should tell you why I haven't read it). Anyway, Carrie is Batman's Robin when he comes out of Bat-Retirement. She doesn't have too much going on to my knowledge, but is notable for being the first female Robin and for her use of a slingshot. In the sequel comic The Dark Knight Strikes Again, Carrie uses a different costume and the name Catgirl. Yes, really.
The Mutant Gang and its leader (though idk about the name Vernon Wagner since, again, haven't read it) are also taken straight from this comic. Including the part where they don't look like mutants and just look like weird punks wearing Cyclops visors.
Navia Robinson's Carrie is great, I really like her design and her performance.
Duela Doe (Duela Dent)/Joker's Daughter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh boy, Duela. She made her first appearance in 1976, where she initially claimed to be the daughter of various villains such as Scarecrow and Riddler before finally revealing that her father is Two-Face (according to one of the writers, this was because Harvey was the only villain who it had already been established was married; he has an estranged wife named Gilda). At some point she started using the name Harlequin (note that this was before Harley Quinn was introduced) and was a member of the Teen Titans for a bit. This Duela is definitely the most normal—she's just a bit odd (the whole Joker's Daughter thing was just to spite Harvey for abandoning her because she wasn't a twin).
One reboot (Crisis on Infinite Earths) later, Duela's parentage is once again a mystery, though she still uses the "Joker's daughter" theme. One of her most notable appearances is in the Titans East arc of the 2000s Teen Titans run, where she is a member of the villainous Titans team assembled by Deathstroke (aka Slade from the Teen Titans cartoon, they just didn't want to say "death" on kids' TV). Eventually she gets bored and switches sides to fight alongside the heroic Titans.
Some time later, it's revealed that Duela is actually from an alternate universe and because of this she's killed by a Monitor (genuinely do not know what the Monitors' deal is but they have something to do with the universe/multiverse). Later on in the same big event (Countdown) we find out that the universe she was from is Earth-3, where characters who are normally good guys are bad guys and vice versa (for instance, instead of Batman there's the villainous Owlman). Her parents are the Jokester (Earth-3's heroic Joker) and Three-Face (Evelyn Dent, Harvey's heroic Earth-3 counterpart who is a lady for some reason).
Yet another reboot later (the New 52, noted for its many... questionable decisions), Duela is now just some girl with major issues and an obsession with the Joker. She also wears his severed face as a mask. Yyyyyeah, you can pretty much ignore this version.
The Gotham Knights version seems to be going with Duela actually being Joker's daughter, since she describes her background in such detail and she seems troubled enough by it that I doubt she made it all up. I'm interested to see what direction they go with her, at any rate!
Harper Row (Bluebird) and Cullen Row
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harper and Cullen get to share a section. Do Not Separate Them etc.
Comics Harper and Cullen's mom, Miranda, was murdered rather than having walked out on them (though I get why they changed this, as it ties in to the story of another character who probably won't be on the show—Cassandra Cain, who's currently on Batwheels and DC has this weird thing about characters appearing in more than one show at once). Since their shitty alcoholic dad was in and out of jail, Harper ended up having to be the one to take care of herself and Cullen. Eventually she applied for emancipation and they both moved out.
Harper is very good with machinery, and she provides for herself and Cullen by working as a professional electrical engineer. Harper was inspired to become Bluebird when Batman saved her and Cullen from some homophobic assholes (specifically they were targeting Cullen for being gay, though Harper is also bi. They never say if Cullen is trans or not). After this she and Cullen became fixated on Batman and his exploits (well, more so than the average Gothamite is), and eventually Harper went out fighting crime as Bluebird. Bluebird mostly uses gadgets she made herself, including a big taser gun. She's currently in college and volunteering at a clinic.
Cullen... doesn't do all that much. Tyler DiChiara noted in an interview that as much as he likes comics Cullen, he doesn't like how passive he is and he's excited to show him stand up for himself more. I definitely see that in the show and I'm totally here for it!
Stephanie Brown (Spoiler/Robin/Batgirl)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No, that's not a spoiler warning, she actually uses the name Spoiler.
I'll be honest, Steph is one of the main reasons I made this post, just 'cause the show version is such a far cry from her comics iteration (and not in a good way) that I felt almost duty-bound to try and set the record straight. I'm all for new interpretations of characters, but this goes beyond that into "in name only" territory.
So, what is comics Stephanie like? Well...
Stephanie Brown is the daughter of Arthur Brown, a failed game show host better known as the C-list supervillain Cluemaster (basically a lamer knock-off of the Riddler). Growing up with a criminal father (who alternated between being in jail and being an abusive prick when he was home) and a mother who, albeit loving, was limited in her ability to take care of her due to her drug addiction, Steph had to be tough. When her dad broke out of jail and was a fair bit more competent than normal, she decided she'd had enough and tried to stop him as Spoiler (because she "spoiled" her father's plans, you see). The first time she met Robin (specifically Tim Drake, the third Robin) she hit him with a brick. That must have been a good first impression, because they actually dated for a while. There's a story arc where Steph finds out she's pregnant (from a shitty ex-boyfriend, NOT Tim) and ends up giving her baby up for adoption. When Tim couldn't be Robin for a bit (his still-alive father Jack found out he was Robin and grounded him), Stephanie showed up to the Batcave in her own homemade Robin costume and basically declared herself Batman's Robin. When Bruce fired her from the position (for really dumb reasons), in an attempt to prove herself she tried to carry out one of Batman's plans to stomp out organized crime in Gotham. However, Steph made a mistake (part of the plan involved one of Bruce's fake identities but she didn't know it was one of his fake identities and thought it was an actual person) and ended up accidentally starting a huge gang war. In the midst of this gang war, she was kidnapped and tortured by Black Mask (the one Ewan McGregor played in the Birds of Prey movie, yes), and when he eventually let her go and she got to a hospital, she ended up succumbing to her injuries and dying. Messed up!
Some time later it turns out she actually faked her death and was in hiding for a while. She's given the Batgirl mantle by the aforementioned Cassandra Cain (who was Batgirl at the time) but after the New 52 she's Spoiler again (currently she's like, both? it's weird).
The big issue I have with her portrayal in Gotham Knights is with her background. Steph not only being a rich girl, but a big part of her story involving her being a rich girl, is missing the point SO hard in my opinion. A lot of who Stephanie is is because of her lower-class background (much like her fellow dead Robin, Jason Todd, who Bruce would compare her to a lot while she was Robin). She's someone who's had to fight for everything she has, that's like the whole point of her character! She and Harper were actually roommates in the comics for a bit.
Harvey Dent/Two-Face
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(first image is regular ol' Harvey, second image is him as Two-Face. There are a lot of variations on 2F's design, but pretty much all of them fit the description of "at least reasonably handsome-looking normal guy face on the left, messed-up scarred face with a glaring eye and constant snarl on the right".)
Here we get to the part I imagine a lot of you were waiting for. There are people who could explain this better than I (maniac-reboggles, for one), but I'm including my own attempt for the sake of completeness.
As he's existed since 1942, there's a lot of different ways Harvey's backstory has been told. The Incident that makes him into Two-Face has been pretty consistent since day one, but what happens before then varies more. In modern comics, though, it's generally something like this:
Harvey Dent grew up with an abusive father who kept a lucky coin that he would flip to decide whether or not he would beat his son. (This is where the DID comes from; childhood trauma is pretty much a prerequisite for the disorder as far as we know.) As an adult, Harvey is a close friend of Bruce Wayne (just to be clear Bruce and Harvey have had Gay Undertones for a long time, it's nothing new) and the youngest District Attorney in Gotham's history. Since this is Gotham, the justice system is corrupt as hell, but Harvey is doing his best to straighten things out and trying to root out corruption, earning him the nickname of Gotham's "White Knight". Things go bad when, while prosecuting mob boss Sal Maroni, Maroni (or sometimes one of his lackeys) throws sulfuric acid in Harvey's face, horribly scarring him. This is the last straw for Harvey psychologically--this incident has proven to him that the legal system is beyond hope. Taking inspiration from his father, Harvey reinvents himself as Two-Face, making decisions using a coin that has one clean side and one scratched-up, "scarred" side. (Originally it was that he'd either do a good deed or a bad deed, and sometimes it's still that, but other times it's more between "evil" and "less evil"). In more recent comics Harvey's alter (referred to by different names depending on the continuity; most often Two-Face is the name of the alter, but in BTAS he's "Big Bad Harv" and in at least one continuity he is referred to as Harvey's "associate") is depicted as a "protector" (which is more realistic to DID- people don't just have "evil" alters unlike what some movies would have you believe) who just happens to be rather ruthless in his methods.
Bruce is forever upset at what happened to his friend, and is often depicted as wanting to help him get his life back together and go straight; sometimes Harvey even agrees to that, but due to the nature of comic books he always goes back to villainy eventually. Sigh...
Lincoln March
Tumblr media
This is....Mmmm.
I haven't read the comic arcs with him in them, but in the Court of Owls arc, Lincoln March (which is apparently an alias) is seemingly a cool guy who supports Bruce in his endeavors to make Gotham better, he wants to run for mayor, a real stand-up guy. He even seems to want to assist Batman against the Court of Owls.
Buuuuut it turns out he's actually working with them. But they like, betrayed him or something, and also he claims that he's actually Bruce's secret twin brother, Thomas Wayne Jr.? It's left ambiguous if this is true or not.
(I mentioned before that Rebecca and Brody were made up for the show--for clarity, comics Lincoln is single.)
I don't know what direction they're gonna go with Lincoln in the show but I have to hope it isn't as dumb as the comics. But who knows, it could be way better, or it could be even dumber. We'll see!

Fem February: Black Canary
Ahh, DC Comics, my forever home, it feels like, where fandom is concerned.
And specifically my beloved, the incomparable Dinah Lance aka Black Canary? WHOO HOO.
Black Canary has been through many changes, and I may have given away the answer by naming 'Dinah Lance' instead of 'Dinah Drake', as to who my favorite is. Even still, WHICH Dinah Lance is my favorite?
Justice League: Year One may have come LATE on the scene, but it codified the Justice League Origins that had been in play since Crisis had concluded. Wonder Woman had not been a founding member of the League — Black Canary was.
This Black Canary is short (5'4" was her most often given height), young (at 19 she was the youngest founder), dealing with mommy issues (seriously, Crisis's changes set Mama Canary up to be a difficult stumbling block in Baby Canary's growth), and she was the 'well the JSA did it this way' voice on the team.
This particular version did not contradict the one I'd been following even longer, the one fleshed out by Mike Grell. But ASP! HE MUTILATED HER?!
Yes. Grell stripped the Canary of her voice, put her at death's door, and then, over the course of 75 issues, showed her growing into a new kind of tough while putting her through hell at Oliver Queen's side. The reason I still prefer The Longbow Hunters concept for Dinah is that she OVERCAME GRAVE ODDS and is still committed to being the best damn vigilante she can be.
That said, I keep the pre-Crisis story of her being Roy's savior. I don't see a conflict there. I keep the Gotham-born, grew up on the West Coast implied by mixing the canons she's present in. And, most of all, these make a wonderful cocktail shaker that delivers the penultimate Black Canary:
Birds of Prey Black Canary.
All of Justice League, all of Green Arrow's solo book, even her mostly-panned solo miniseries evolve into the woman that takes Oracle's offer to fly under the radar and kick ass, take names, and make the world a little safer. I faithfully followed the original miniseries and one shots, then the first series of the book through so many artist and writer changes with absolute delight and glee. She was older, she was jaded, she held her ground, she was selfless when it mattered, she cared…
Just. Everything I needed in a woman that was at one point in time considered to be in the top ten of DCU's martial artists. (Richard Dragon, Cassandra Cain, and Shiva are all considered better than her. For a time, the jury was out on if she or Connor Hawke was the better, and Tim Drake was up in here during that era. In at least one issue, Batman says she is better than he is.)
I love, adore, and worship the woman that Dinah Lance was between Crisis and Identity Crisis, considering her my end-all, be-all favorite of that character.
(Honorable mentions to the animated TimmVerse Canary, but TimmVerse got a LOT of my faves perfectly. And the spin they took in the Birds TV show was intriguing, but there, it was Mama Canary that stole my heart with her brief appearances.)

Digital Detective Exchange - First Batch!
Since the month is now halfway over and we are swiftly approaching our reveal date (Jan. 31st!), we thought it was time to share with you the first batch of our Secret Santa aka Digital Detective Exchange!
Currently, all of these works are anonymous, so if you're curious about who the creators are, be sure to check them out at the end of the month!
A full list can be found at the collection page! Please also make sure to check the additional tags and warnings yourself - they are not listed here. Thank you <3
Feathers and Bones | Fic - Dick & Jason | NR | 4.3k | for Gen (That_Hippie_Chick on AO3)
“Where’s your bike?” Jason interrupted. “We can head back to the cave together.”
Well, that was…confusing, among other things. Dick just managed to stop himself from blurting out any of his surprise - at the fact Jason was going back to the cave at all and at the fact he wanted to go together - and say instead, “Sorry, no can do. I’ve got a few other things lined up for tonight.”
Or: When an injured Dick refuses to go back to the cave, Jason takes matters into his own hands. They have more arguments than breakthroughs, but it's a start.
Bandage | Art - Tim, Dami, Cass, Steph | G | for @kgraces
Winner Takes All | Fic - Batkids | G | 1.4k | for @kuna-mart
Bruce is at work and Alfred is on vacation, leaving the kids at home. So naturally a prank war must occur.
an unfortunate glimpse of one Jason Todd experiencing Emotions | Fic - Joyfire | T | 1.5k | for @blackroseaki38
Normally, Jason wouldn't take off patrolling for long when he'd broken a bone. He’d take a week to rest and heal up a bit, use the time to strategize his next moves. He’d probably sit around sulking about whichever loser rogue managed to get the jump on him enough to injure him, torturing himself with gross bland foods and mind-numbing reality TV.
But not this time. Maybe Jason was a little hasty earlier, because there are some good things about his life.
Namely his two roommates-slash-best-friends-slash-embarrassing-crushes.
Home (is where the hearth is) | Fic - Batfam | T | 5.3k | for @huilian
What makes a house a home? Some would say it’s the habit of coming back to it, some would say it’s the presence of your belonging. Some would say it’s the warm smell of a loved one cooking for you.
Or: five times Batfam members made food for each other in the late hours of night.
Rescue (Revenge) | Fic - Tim & Jason | G | 2.8k | for @valkirinii
Tim goes undercover to take down a dangerous gang, unknowingly putting himself in grave danger, only to come face to face with Gotham's newest crime lord, the Red Hood.
imitation, the sincerest form of flattery | Fic - Steph & Jason | T | 6.2k | for @blogofabookworm
Stephanie might be the only sidekick to not end up adopted and she might feel like coming back from apparent death wrecked her claim to being part of the family but she's fine. (Jason doesn't agree but he's taking the slow approach. He knows that you can't make someone agree that it is as easy as going home.)
When Bruce Wayne is in danger and people start wondering why Batman isn't coming to his rescue, Stephanie Brown has a plan just crazy enough to work.
my addicted heart shakes when you are gone | Fic - Tim & his parents | M | 1.2k | for @mynameisactuallyten
Tim is addicted to his parents love, and it wrecks him every time they leave.
Burning Questions | Fic - Dick, Steph, Jason | T | 5.8k | for @writergeek
“I don’t mean to complain or anything, but how do you keep up with this, Nightwing?”
Batgirl stood next to him on the rooftop, her arms resting on her thighs as she struggled to catch her breath. Only fire-forged stubbornness kept Dick from showing his own exhaustion quite as publicly.
“Not to burst your bubble… but it’s really not this bad, usually.”
“They must have heard about our visit. A warm welcome for the Gotham trash.” Jason’s voice was riddled with static, his looming shadow only the idea of a silhouette a couple of houses away.
It was supposed to be a normal night out in Blüdhaven with his siblings. 'Supposed to' being the operative word.
The Princes of Gotham | Fic - Dick & Jason | T | 1.5k so far | for @sassydefendorflower
Prince Richard knows two things:
He hates the man who destroyed his eye Prince Jason died three years ago
Jason Todd knows two things:
He hates his brother, Richard Richard killed him three years ago
Keep up, Richard | Art - Dick and Slade | T | for @withthekeyisking-writer
Slade wont give Dick a brake.
Happy Holidays stranger.
I Mustache if Something is Different | Art - Dick & Jason | G | for @nelson-and-murdock
Jason squinted at the baldcap that was handed to him. "This doesn't even match my skin." He said.
"It matches Alfred's, though, and that's the goal, Little Wing." Dick replied, focused on the mirror as he fluffed up his eyebrows.
Dress up time at Wayne Manor ft Dick and Jason wearing Different™️ costumes Fanart.

Birds of Prey (minus Harley Quinn)
[All images are owned by DC Comics and Warner Bros Discovery. Please don’t sue or paralyze me]
youtube
(Thanks to The World’s Finest)
It’s absolutely incredible that Bat-mania, that was always low-key A Thing since Batman's debut in the 1930s (but kicked into high gear in 1989 thanks to a little film starring Michael Keaton) is still going on (despite Joel Schumacher’s best efforts) It’s to the point that pretty much any DC film (and a number of TV shows) that doesn’t feature the Dark Knight is all but doomed.
This may have been the issue with 2002’s Birds of Prey, based on the comic of the same name. The show takes place in Gotham some years after Batman stopped being A Thing, but there is still Scum and Villainy in Gotham (or New Gotham) to deal with, so a new team was formed to deal with them.
The team is led by Barbara Gordon…
Tumblr media
…AKA Batgirl…or at least she was until a scene ripped right from The Killing Joke graphic novel…
youtube
(Thanks to jbaltiero)
The Joker’s bullet shattered Barbera’s spine, leaving her a paraplegic. Still wanting to make a difference, she asked Bruce Wayne to set her us with a state-of-the-art computer system, which she used to hack into the city’s computer and surveillance network, allowing her to gain information on the underworld and rechristened herself…
Tumblr media
...Oracle
The second member is the team takes her origin from her pre-Crisis years rather than post-Crisis.
Tumblr media
The Huntress AKA Helena Kyle, daughter of Batman and Catwoman. When the Joker murders Selina Kyle, Barbera takes in Helena and trains her to be her partner on the street.
Finally we come to the final member of the team…
Tumblr media
Dinah Lance is the daughter of the Black Canary. She has psychic abilities but little in the way of fighting abilities. As such, she’s usually held in reserve (or in danger)
The trio work to do what Batman did years ago, dealing with the Thug Of The Week.
However, as this was essentially a Batman series without Batman, plus for the most part there was no overarching storyline, the series only lasted half a season. Which is a shame, since the series had potential, even if the hardcore fans (like myself) may have had issues with the series taking too many liberties with DC canon.
However, the series was given a (sort of) proper sendoff 17 years later…

(Thanks to TV Promos)
If you would like to watch the series, it's available on Tubi or behind your favorite paywall.
If you would like to see an episode reviewed, let me know!

E. NIGMA: PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR
A TV show in eight episodes about Batman's most cunning villain of his rogue gallery: the Riddler! Eddie Nigma has finally decided to go straight and serve the public good with his impressive intellect — for a price. Mysteries and challenges abound in Gotham City, but will they keep Nigma away from his old life of crime?
S01E01: THE WONDERS OF CATHAY
Eddie Nigma is tasked by the Gotham Museum of finding the culprits behind the robbery of the newest exhibition of recently acquired ancient Chinese artefacts. Things get complicated when he finds the thieves dead – and their heart missing. The only clue seems to be the shattered pieces of a Shang dynasty vessel. Soon however, Nigma has a more pressing matter: a string of attacks involving a fox-like creature who devours the hearts of its male victims. Could it be that a broken vase has unleashed something wicked in Gotham City?
S01E02: THIRTEEN ANGRY MEN
D. A. Saratoga quietly hires Nigma when her trial against murderous starlet Mindy “Baby Doll” Logan is disrupted by the death of a juror in a closed room with eleven other people. Is this a machination from the angelic-looking Logan or is this much more personal?
S01E03: THE BLACK CAT
A wealthy businessman hires Eddie to protect a famous artwork by Théophile-Alexandre Steinlein during its exposition in an art gallery. What should have been easy money becomes a headache when Nigma finds himself face-to-face with an old friend with nine lives…
S01E04: AMOR VINCIT OMNIA
Mabel’s childhood friend hires Nigma to investigate the disappearance of her fellow successful showgirl Narjisse Lamar. The detective soon finds himself entangled in a deadly love triangle with rising mob boss Gianny Pisanello…and Jonathan Crane, aka the Scarecrow.
S01E05: L'APPEL DU VIDE
When a newly commercialized antidepressant turns out to have devastating side effects, it is up to Eddie Nigma to make sure Helms Pharma’s parent company doesn’t get to sweep the scandal under the rug until they can sell their stocks. But when said parent company is none other than Wayne Enterprises, can the detective truly match with the prince of Gotham?
S01E06: I AM VENGEANCE
When Nigma receives a single lock of hair and an ominous riddle, strange events and nightmares start befalling him. It soon appears the hair is from teenage oil heiress Ethel Declan, who got killed twenty years ago during a botched heist by the Riddler. Things go from worrying to creepy when Eddie becomes plagued by visions of the dead girl. Is her vengeful spirit back from the dead or is someone else seeking revenge?
S01E07: SARATOGA'S DEVIL
Commissioner Gordon reluctantly asks for Nigma’s help when D.A. Saratoga goes missing, leaving behind only a trail of coded messages. The man has always maintained his innocence…until his death ten years ago. Eddie must dig out the past if he wants to save Saratoga in time and uncovers who truly is the Astrologer.
S01E08: STAR-CROSSED LOVERS
Donna Troy hires Eddie Nigma to investigate what is happening in Joliemont clinic, where her childhood friend Dick Grayson is being treated after a suicide attempt. Troy believes Wayne is covering her friend’s death up to steal the money left by the Hayley Circus. The truth seems much darker when Nigma discovers famed mercenary Deathstroke has seemingly kidnapped the young man. Yet the detective cannot help but feel that not is all what it seems, especially when he finally understands that Dick Grayson is none other than Nightwing… Deathstroke’s longtime nemesis.

Harley Quinn problems (Tv wise)
Sooo...looking at this season. Well for me the problem is still the series. Not so... look not gonna apologize if I offend someone. I'm literally allowed to have an opinion on the show/writing etc.
So as season 4 ep 7. The show itself is average. Not the best but also not the worse. The series as a whole has some funny haha moments. Butttt it kinda tries to hard to be "woke". But that being said its a hella lot more entertaining than Velma's spinoff.
But its not without problems. One of which... is how the heroes are portrayed. Yes I know its comedy/satire/and also I know this is aimed for the villains. But they have the heroes featured in here. And their role ranges from comedic to down right incompetent at their job. Thats not to say I expected them to be gods/or perfect. No I can see some of the antics the show put the heroes in as real. Batman having issues at communicating with Gordon (season 1). When Batman got jumped by Ivy and Harley on live TV, and most of the heroes either just watched or in Superman's case just shrugged. Cause yeah they've been at it long enough to say "heh he's fine".
Even both Batman and Nightwing had trouble accepting help/change. Nightwing having freak outs cause he didn't get it perfect (season 2) and yeah definitely found it believable that he had a fit over losing his weapons. I can even believe that Wonder Woman fell for a Harley disguise as a fellow amazon.
Then the writing takes biggggg drastic turns. Batman/and heroes did nothing when Joker killed a celebrity on live TV. Amazons came to Ivy's wedding, thats not odd. Whats odd is technically they're in Wonder Woman's alignment aka considered good. So when the villains are killing the police they just do nothing.
Heck Batman spiraled over a breakup and brought back the dead. Did Alfred stop him? No. Did Nightwing or the Justice League? I mean zombies are hard to ignore. When Nightwing's murdered they literally DO nothing. They come to a funeral and go home.
Any other variation they would have stuck their nose into Bat business and offered Batgirl comfort/aid or an ATTEMPT of helping. Batman is literally in jail and NO ONE hero wise is questioning/attempting to help? Batman didn't even attempt to come to funeral. And you can't say "its jail". They let Alfred out. And importantly the show went on the "the rich are given better privileges" . So its not out of logic that Batman should quit djaying and attempt to look for what was like his second son's murderer.
Alfred is literally spiraling/suddenly clinging to being near Bruce and none of the Batfamily tried to stop or help him. I just am puzzled since the season before. Alfred seemed to be given a change as a character doing the hero thing while Bruce is in a coma. How did that go from being a hero to "can't be 5 minutes away from him". I mean yesh why didn't Superman even attempt to ask "Alfred why are you in an orange jumpsuit?".
Another problem is how they're treating Gordon. Again I know comedy/satire etc. I don't even mind if Gordon's very flawed. Season 1, yeah pretty much described him. Freakin' tired from the job. But as the series goes on they kick him always to a lower point. As I said I don't mind him flawed I can believe he was a shitty dad. Being a cop/and literally being in gotham. Its just kinda believable that became his focus instead of Barbara(daughter not wife). Butttt I wanna say it was season 2. I thought they were give him some development and turn his life around. But season 3-4 just kept kicking him lower and lower. And at some point making him the punching joke was a little too sad to watch.
I was hoping he would get his life together and he would have a Lupin/Zenigata kinda thing.
Third is sometimes the villains. Heh sometimes. Trying to think, uh sometimes it feels like they go a little too hard to make them evil. I dunno season 4 with the Legion constantly killing staff. I mean the starfish things killed a dude for stepping on their toes. I'm "a little overkill?". Even a few times they do it just cause they want to. I dunno hard to explain just feels like its not needed. They are literally fighting good guys. We don't need it so obvious sometimes. The other part in regards to villain is Joker himself.
He's... mixed for me. Particularly how he's been given a new girlfriend and "loves" those kids. I dunno for YEARS and I do mean years I've heard fans complain about how Joker treated Harley. So just because they're ripping off Venture Bro vibes they feel Joker deserves a happy ending with a wife and kids? I .... I dunno. And no I don't care if it humanizes him. He's literally suppose to be the most evil character, and we're suppose to suddenly like him cause he's got kids.
Just nope. Not feeling it. The show is not Venture bros and hasn't gotten to that level in my opinion. So Joker can not pull a "Red Death". Because from recent eps he's and his story have no merit to it. Joker goes evil and his girlfriend is okay with it.... but from what the show is giving his girlfriend isn't evil. A bit aggressive if she's physically threatened but I wouldn't deem her evil. She wants her children as far as I can tell to be good.
If the show had shown her aggravated for her lifetime of being good. Even and I hate to say it, show her even snapping at work as a nurse. Fine I could believe it. But she's suddenly okay with her children encouraging murders. And wanting to murder a person who is rude to her at the checkout line oO. By all accounts she should be arguing with Joker, telling him she doesn't want her children to be sadistic killers. She should even want compromise.
Heck Red Death is the best example. He's evil at work but separates it from his homelife. His little girl isn't evil. A bit bullyish? But she acts like a normal child. His wife wasn't evil and treated his arching like work. She even wanted a compromise to cut down his work. And he was trying to by becoming a guild member. Thats more entertaining then whatever the hell Joker is.
Anything else... uh dunno. I mean the rest of the show/season is kinda of predictable. Harley/Ivy having conflict due to jobs. Gotta work it out and I think they will. The clone thing is probably different. Uhh kinda wonder what Nora Freeze's deal is. I know she was a villain's wife but she's not very evil. Just there. Sometimes selfish but thats it.

GK (tv show) has Stephanie Brown, Carrie Kelly (Robin), Harper Row (Bluebird) and Duela Dent (atm her real father is supposed to be the Joker but it might turn out to be Two Face). the main boy is a new character called Turner (not from the comics) who is supposed to be Bruce Wayne's adopted son (he's dull af, tho.) the main villains are the Court of Owls and (looks like eventually) Harvey Dent/Two Face (in this version he's not been scarred yet, he's Gotham's district attorney trying to solve Batman's murder.) the last episode was great, it featured Joe Chill (played by Doug Bradley, aka Pinhead from Hellraiser!) #GothamKnights
They use Carrie as Robin?? 😯😯
Never thought she'd be used again in any dc media ☺☺ nice

Can I just say - I am so interested in what it would be like if Duke Thomas was introduced pre-Flashpoint.
[get ready for. a lot of background info]
Because like, everything post-Flashpoint is weird as hell, for me at least. Jason and Tim are close? (I know everyone wants them to be [including me], but they’re not.) The Bat-Family being an actual functioning family working in the same city? Barbara being Batgirl? Cassandra as Orphan of all things?
If Duke were introduced just before Flashpoint, say, when Bruce is off starting Batman Inc. and there are two Batman’s, and then Flashpoint never happened?
I believe the most recent Batman comic pre-Flashpoint was Gates of Gotham, during which Cassandra, Tim, Dick, and Damian team up (Damian and Cassandra’s first meeting).
At this point, Tim is back in Gotham with Tamara Fox and the Neon Knights initiative, getting back into the swing of things, faking Lucius Fox’s death, getting fake-shot and becoming fake-crippled for a year on live TV, Dick is Batman working with Damian’s Robin, Stephanie’s Batgirl, and Alfred. Alfred, Damian, and Dick live in Wayne Tower, I believe. Jason (very murderous) was recently a patient in Arkham Asylum and later, a prisoner at Gotham Penitentiary and has just rescued his kid sidekick Scarlet. Helena Bertinelli is working with Dinah Lance and Barbara in the Birds of Prey.
Barbara is an assistant professor at Gotham University and she and Jim Gordon have recently fought Jim’s son and her cousin, James Jr, a psychopath killer. Cassandra is in Hong Kong, having taken the name Black Bat, using Bruce’s name idea and a suit Tim made for her, working as a member of Batman Inc. As far as we know, Bruce and Tim are the only people actually speaking to her. Bruce Wayne just publicly revealed that he has been funding Batman for years and starts Batman Inc. (Batman Inc. is basically Bruce [and/or Bruce!Batman] recruiting a bunch of vigilantes from different countries to act as the “Batman” of that city). At this point, Bruce and Damian aren’t working together. Bruce loves Damian as much as any father, but that does not mean that they mesh.
(Also, if we are working with True Canon!Bruce, AKA abusive!Bruce, then this is a good time for Duke to become a member of the Bat-Family, in terms of Bruce’s mental health and the fact that he’s out of Gotham so much.)
(And just for the full Background Knowledge, the Teen Titans team consists of Cassie Sandsmark, AKA the leader, Lorena Marquez, Jaime Reyes, Amy Allen, Christopher Freeman, M’gann M’orzz, Rose Wilson, Virgil Hawkins, Tim Drake-Wayne, Raven, Bart Allen, Kiran Singh, Mas y Menos, Roy Harper, and powerless Eddie Bloomberg. Damian has just quit the team, saying that one Robin is enough.)
This is the Bat-Family Duke comes into, one where everyone is kind of disjointed and Helena is the only normal person ever. (Barbara is usually also normal but she just fought her psycho cousin-brother, so no.) In fact, Duke would probably be recruited by Damian (who showed no qualms about taking in Colin Wilkes without consulting anybody). Stephanie probably wouldn’t have a problem with him, Dick and Barbara might, and who even knows what Tim thinks at any point in time?
Imagine being a newly-discovered metahuman with parents dead to the Joker just trying to train and protect the city in its daylight hours, having to deal with suddenly social media-savvy Red Hood, whose trying to turn public opinion against you while also running about wreaking havoc, weirdos like Professor Pyg, Harley Quinn who is no longer dating Joker but still a criminal, and the nerves of not knowing how the Head Honcho (AKA Bruce Wayne) will react to you.
I think he would probably work with the Birds of Prey a lot and I imagine having a team up with Tim at one point, which I think would be completely hilarious. (Him meeting Jason, on the other hand.)
