YEP. I honestly thought better of him... I mean, I can forgive him for not enjoying a character, I realize most men can't relate to Joseph because of all the "manliness and masculinity" that's so ingrained in society nowadays (at least here in America). The whole "boys don't cry" sort of thing. He is a male character who is shown, you know, actually struggling and having a rough time, and needing help from his partner instead of just being completely unaffected and walking it off all the time (and that's the thing, he is a badass... just not portrayed the same way as Seb for obvious reasons).

But he also didn't understand about 90% of the game's plot. Not even complicated stuff, but like... simple things I felt were pretty obvious. I had to explain most of the game to him.

And he also saw Sebastian as totally not wanting to help Joseph in any way he was able... totally viewing Joseph as more of a burden and Seb being all: "ugggh why do I have to take care of you" kinda thing.

So.. I'm not sure where he's getting this from? He didn't see Seb or Joseph as close at all. I totally sadfaced when he told me all of this. Because I know some pretty straight men who've played this game, and even they can't deny that Joseph and Sebastian seem quite close and have a strong bond.

I was a bit disappointed. And when I talked too much in-depth about the theories and plot, he said that he "was happy with the ending and the game until I made him feel confused and unsure about it."

Um. I think he missed the point though...?
