"We could have been... us." - August 2023

I've drawn my fair share of heartbreaking kisses, but I've never been sadder while drawing a kiss, ever, in my life. On a completely different note, I had a lot of trouble balancing the shadows and the lights; I couldn't find the right colour for the background until I ended up using a bright new golden pencil; I had so much fun drawing Crowley's hair and I hated Aziraphale's white curls; I don't really care about any of this, though. I needed to make it to elaborate the pain.

Haven't been drawing as much in the last week, BUT, I had an absolutely lovely time reconnecting with my coloured pencils! It's so nice to slow down. Colouring these was meditative. 10/10 am gonna do again. One benefit of not having a FT in-studio job is that I am finding more time to tap back into traditional art, so I think next time maybe I'll do a marker piece! Maybe render out tiny versions of the BOTW/TOTK meals 🤔
