I am new to astrology and I saw u mention Keery has good placements and I was wondering if Quinn also had good placements

(I have 0 clue what placements mean what but also secondary question, someone told me that if your rising sign matches someone moon sign it is more compatability for you two? Is that an accurate read?)

I don't believe in "good or bad" when it comes to astrology, but there are placements that I personally would be more drawn to or compatible with, and that had a lot to do with the Keery post you saw.

Let's do Joe Q! If I had been on the ball yesterday, we could've done it for his birthday, but alas. Let me start by saying that a Natal Chart or "birth chart" is a map of the sky at the moment you were born. In this case, we do not have a birth time for JQ, so there is plenty about him that shall remain a mystery (in true Aquarius fashion)

In other words, we do not know his Ascendant or "rising" as you mentioned in your ask. BUT we can get an idea of his "big 5" which is Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars placements. Also, there is soooo much more to delve into than what I am about to type, but I'd be here all day, honestly.

Sun in Aquarius - The Sun represents your sense of self and the "gift" that you have to give to the world. Aquarians are lovingly known as the weirdos of the zodiac. They are unique and curious and interested more in ideas than "what is known".

Moon in Cancer - The Moon is the mother, is represents our deeper, emotional needs, personal life, and unconscious desires (knee jerk reactions to the world around you). Someone with this placement would be very nurturing and sensitive, needing a comfortable, reliable home life in order to be productive. Upsets of the heart or at home will affect them intensely. They "feel" everything, even the emotions of the people around them, which can be very exhausting.

Mercury in Aquarius - Mercury represents our cognitive thought and our communication style. The most unpredictable things will come out of their mouths, you have to be an interesting person, open to ideas, if you want to stay in conversation with them. Their brain works in a futuristic way enabling them to have insights that are ahead of their time.

Venus in Aquarius - Venus represents our love style, how we express our love and what we are attracted to in others. Friendship is a huge love language for this placement, if you can be their friend, you have their heart. They are attracted to intelligent, quirky individuals who are on the fringe and don't follow social norms. You have to appeal to their brain before you will ever get to them sexually. Not to say that they won't be drawn to someone physically beautiful but looks are not as important to them.

Mars in Capricorn - Mars represents our physical body & energy, what drives us and gets us out of bed in the morning, and our more baseline sexual desires. Mars in this placement would be driven by duty and a desire to feel useful, a natural workhorse. A career is very important, and a lot of energy is channeled there. Resilient and loyal. Intimacy with them would involve a lot of trust; they have plenty of discipline to wait for the right person.

End notes: Joseph has what we call an Aquarius Stellium meaning, he has three or more planets in Aquarius. Short version is that he is very Aquarius and will naturally exhibit the traits of this sign. Aquarians are loners and need plenty of time away from people to recharge their batteries and think. They also have a way of feeling like they never "fit in" anywhere, no matter how welcomed they are.

And to answer your question about Rising/Moon compatibility, there is some truth to that. The Moon craves connection and emotional understanding, so if someone has their Rising or Sun in your Moon sign, and exhibits those traits, you will naturally be drawn to them. But "attraction" as in something more chemical or sexual has more to do with your Venus/Mars placements.

The first full moon of the year is here! Buckle up kids, this moon is full of passion and drama. There’s other big energies going on around it heightening the drama so let’s get into it.

The energies of the moon shift from the nurturing Mom feel of Cancer to the fun, creative and childlike Leo energies. As soon as the moon moves into Leo though it opposes Pluto in Aquarius. This gives the mood a sobering feel that pulls the unavoidable truths out for us to face. It sets a tone of transformation and change right before the moon opposes the sun, which is the full moon.

The sun, the seat of our focus and personality heads off with our emotional body. This creates a lot of energy that invites us to connect with our heart and be courageous. We’re getting in touch with our truest self in a most dramatic way. With Pluto along its side, deep truth will be revealed. We will come face to face with our darker side so we can fully learn to accept and love every good bad and ugly part of ourselves.
