Artists often find it hard to get a warm welcome in galleries. Gallerists are primarily at art fairs to make money. Understandably, they might get annoyed when artists try to talk to them during these busy times. The investment for a booth is far from minor. However, to an extent, this rejection also happens in art galleries. Is it the only business where the sellers don't welcome the makers? Does the artist have a responsibility in this situation?
