ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HEAD OF OBA
THE BENIN KINGDOM
THE LOOTED TREASURES BY THE BRITISH EMPIRE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BLACK HISTORY IS DEEPER THAN SLAVE TRADE
The head sculptures of the Oba of Benin, also known as the Benin Bronzes, are a collection of intricate bronze and brass sculptures created by the Edo people of Nigeria. These sculptures typically depict the reigning Oba (king) of the Benin Empire and were produced over several centuries, with some dating back to the 13th century.
They are renowned for their artistic and historical significance, representing the cultural heritage and power of the Benin Kingdom. These sculptures often portray the Oba wearing coral beaded regalia, symbolizing his divine status and authority.
Many of these artifacts were taken from Benin during the late 19th century by British colonial forces, and they are now scattered in museums and private collections worldwide. There have been ongoing discussions and negotiations regarding their repatriation to Nigeria to restore their cultural heritage.
The head sculptures of the Oba of Benin remain a testament to the rich artistic and historical legacy of the Edo people and the Benin Kingdom.
HOW THE BRITISH STOLE FROM THE EDO TRIBE
1. British Punitive Expedition: In 1897, a British expedition, led by British officials and soldiers, was sent to the Benin Kingdom (in what is now Nigeria) with the stated objective of punishing the Oba of Benin, Oba Ovonramwen, for resisting British influence and trade in the region.
2. Sacking of the Royal Palace: During the expedition, the British forces entered the royal palace in Benin City, where many of these intricate bronze and brass sculptures were housed. The palace was looted, and numerous artifacts, including the Benin Bronzes, were taken.
3. Confiscation and Dispersal: The looted artifacts were then confiscated by the British authorities and later distributed to various individuals, museums, and institutions. Many of these artworks ended up in European museums and private collections.
The theft of the Benin Bronzes remains a contentious issue, as these artworks are considered cultural treasures of the Edo people and Nigeria as a whole. There have been ongoing discussions and demands for the repatriation of these artifacts to Nigeria, which has gained momentum in recent years as part of broader efforts to address historical injustices related to colonial-era looting.
The head sculptures of the Oba of Benin, like many traditional African artworks, hold deep symbolic significance within the context of the Benin Kingdom and its culture. Here are some of the key symbols and meanings associated with these sculptures:
1. Royal Authority: The Oba's head sculptures symbolize the authority and divine status of the reigning monarch, who was regarded as a sacred figure in Benin society. The elaborate regalia, such as coral beads and headdresses, worn by the Oba in these sculptures signifies his royal and spiritual power.
2. Ancestral Connections: The sculptures often depict the Oba with distinctive facial scarification patterns and detailed facial features. These features can represent specific ancestors or dynastic connections, emphasizing the Oba's lineage and connection to past rulers.
3. Historical Record: The sculptures also serve as historical records, documenting the appearance and regalia of the Oba during their reigns. This provides valuable insights into the history and evolution of the Benin Kingdom over the centuries.
4. Spiritual Protection: Some sculptures may incorporate elements like beads and cowrie shells, which were believed to have protective and spiritual qualities. These elements were worn by the Oba not only for their aesthetic value but also for their symbolic protection.
5. Cultural Identity: Beyond their specific symbolic meanings, the head sculptures are integral to the cultural identity of the Edo people and the Benin Kingdom. They represent the rich artistic traditions and heritage of the kingdom and its rulers.
It's important to note that the symbolism of these sculptures is deeply rooted in the cultural and historical context of the Benin Kingdom, and their interpretation can vary among different individuals and communities.

Hello again dearest Nathalie, I hope you are doing well. Some time ago I asked how the whole glittering in the sun worked and in your answer you mentioned that every vampire looks different in sunlight. You, for example, mentioned that Caius has a pearlescent look to him and now I've been wondering for a while what the other volturi would look like. Could you make like a list with pictures of what it would look like or if that is too much work (which I totally understand, so no pressure at all) just a list without pictures? I hope you have a good day/week/month :) <3
• — 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢 & 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐦
Ah yes, I remember this question quite fondly.
It was difficult for me to find pictures that truly spoke to how I imagine their glow, so for now I have decided to answer it in written form. Volterran-Wine does in fact own a large crystal selection she has studied to find the right answers.
Tumblr media
𝐀𝐫𝐨: The first you would see is a greenish hue, like oxidised copper. There would still be those hints of warmth however, with a discreet sheen of sparkle.
𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐮𝐬: He almost has a pearlescent finish to his skin and there’s a slight reddish hue when he enters certain types of light.
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬: They say he once shone more brightly in the sun, but now vampires compare this kings skin to dulled brass
𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚:  This queen shifts beautifully like the darkest garnet, with a glitter-like shift that leaves those around her spellbound when they see it.
𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐚: Many have compared her skin to the glint of steal, speckled with red like a bloodstone when the sun hits her just right.
𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐦𝐞: Once upon a time she resembled an opalite with a pinkish hue, now few remembers how vibrant of a sparkle Didyme once had.
𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢: Our resident tracker resembles a bronze statue in it's prime, almost bordering on a golden hue, not unlike the crystal tigers eye.
𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱: The way Felix shines in the sunlight is the same way a great mountain glimmers in a bronzed and golden glow if there are copper minerals deep within the earth. It is warm and inviting.
𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞: Her glow is very particular, it is soft and almost has a translucent quality to it. The best way I can describe it is that Jane looks like living and breathing selenite.
𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐜: Seeing as though him and Jane share a lot of the same genetic makeup, they are quite similar. However, Alec has a slight blue-ish tint to his glow as well.
𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐢: This woman looks like an Opalite, come to life with a rosy hue beneath it all. Among the Volturi she is also one of the vampires who do in fact have a certain glitter to their skin.
𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚: She is one of the few that partially glitter, though she gleams more if you ask those around her. If you look at Renata for too long it is like a duochrome of sienna and burnt orange.
𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧: Under the correct lighting Corin is like a pearl, but most of the time she looks like the iridescence you find inside of shells,
𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐚: She looks like a marble statue come to life, the softest glow you will ever see.
𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐧: Some say that Afton nearly looks like a silver statue when he moves under the sunlight, it is almost blinding with a soft blue-ish hue.
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨: He has this quality about his skin that is like smoky quartz, you expect it to be quite dark and dull-but the shifts in colorur is just out of this world. His tattoos almost seem to take up a life of their own when he steps under direct sunlight as well.

A culinary arts/Art double major with many cats and many names. Often stays away from the gentry and human alike but has made contact with the gentry before, offering milk and honey in exchange for her dreams. Many self-done paintings of things, among them a crumbled tower and a waterfall. Autistic with a very delicate sense of touch. How does she fare at Elsewhere, darling Archivist.
The first time you found your way Underhill, you took the trees of brass and bronze and gold as statues, a cold facsimile of life that would be laughable if it weren’t so beautiful. But November rolls around, and the color drains from the world as if someone has pulled the plug on a bath. You are left with silver bark and iron grey skies and a carpet of copper leaves. A world that seems at times almost inorganic in its austerity; forged rather than grown. It is some time before you find your way back to the Autumn Court, but you often find yourself thinking of the jewelled forest, and the love that went into it - not as a replica of life, but as a portrait of autumn’s final days. When next you walk below those unmoving boughs, it is with a reverence that sets you apart from your peers, who arrive brash and bright and still flush with summer’s warmth.

A Karushuu Pirate x Prince AU
@akabane-yum if you see this, no you didn’t.
In a world where royal lineage clashes with pirate rebellion, two unlikely souls are entangled in a web of fate. As ancient feuds simmer and alliances teeter on the brink of collapse, a prince and a pirate must navigate treacherous waters of love, loyalty and longing. Bound by destiny yet torn apart by circumstance, their story unfolds amidst a backdrop of adventure, danger and forbidden desire.
In a tale as old as time, Gakushuu Asano, a scion of a royal lineage, and Karma Akabane, born into the infamous ranks of a pirate clan, found themselves locked in a generations-old feud. Initially, their animosity towards each other ran deep, both harbouring a visceral disdain that seemed insurmountable. However, fate intervened one fateful day when their paths converged at a bustling port on a remote island.
Bound by a fragile truce enforced by the island's formidable locals, the families of Gakushuu and Karma were compelled to set aside their longstanding grievances. The imminent threat of the islanders' prowess in combat loomed large, serving as a deterrent against any acts of aggression between the warring factions.
It was amidst this uneasy peace that Gakushuu's perception of Karma underwent a profound transformation. Observing the pirate's striking resemblance to his father, the prince found himself inexplicably drawn to Karma's rugged charm and rebellious spirit. There was an undeniable allure to Karma's rough-edged exterior—a magnetism that stirred within Gakushuu an unexpected and tumultuous attraction.
Karma Akabane, the son of the most powerful pirate captain known to roam the seven seas, at the mere age of 19, embodies the definitive pirate aesthetic with the weather-beaten tricorn hat, tilted daringly to one side, and decorated with a crimson feather. His once-pristine white shirt, now bearing the marks of countless battles, is adorned with faded embroidery and ragged sleeves, while a leather vest, weathered and worn, boasts brass buttons etched with intricate sea monster designs.
Burgundy trousers, rolled up at the cuffs, and a midnight-coloured coat with gleaming gold trim complete his ensemble. Multiple belts and sashes cinch his waist, each laden with pouches containing the tools and treasures of a true pirate, while beaded necklaces strung with seashells, pearls, and ancient coins adorn his neck. His fingers glitter with rings bearing emblems and gemstones, a symbol of his status and prowess.
Karma's bronzed, weathered skin, long crimson red hair cascading like molten gold, kohl-smudged eyes gleaming with mischief, and a grin revealing teeth as sharp as cutlasses, speak of a life lived on the edge of danger and adventure, with scars as souvenirs of battles fought and won, displaying strength and tenacity in the face of trouble.
As Gakushuu watches, he sees Karma's father laughing with him, playfully taking back the tricorn hat he had placed on Karma's head, revealing beneath it a bandana, a symbol of their legacy of piracy that runs deep within their bloodline.

One morning, Gakushuu spotted Karma snatching a handful of fruits from a stall before darting out of sight behind the nearby booths. He decided to follow him up until he couldn’t see him anymore. The streets were crowded so it was hard to see.
Suddenly someone grabbed him by the arm, pulling him somewhere. Gakushuu was ready to fight back, but the person put their hand on his mouth to keep him quiet.
It was Karma, who was calmly grinning and eating the stolen apple with one hand and with the other, he held Gakushuu in place.
As Gakushuu's eyes widened in surprise, Karma's mischievous grin only grew wider. The two boys stood in a hidden alleyway, away from the bustling streets of the port. Gakushuu's heart raced, unsure of what Karma had planned.
"Shh," Karma whispered, removing his hand from Gakushuu's mouth. "I just wanted to make sure you wouldn't cause any trouble for our families. The locals here are no joke, and I don't want to risk any fights breaking out."
Gakushuu's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Why would you care about that? We've always been enemies, haven't we?"
Karma chuckled, taking another bite of the stolen apple. "Yeah, we have. But that doesn't mean I want to see you get hurt. Besides, it's more fun to mess with you when we're not fighting."
Gakushuu's cheeks flushed slightly at Karma's words, a mix of annoyance and intrigue swirling within him. He couldn't deny that something was captivating about the pirate's carefree attitude and rebellious nature.
"I don't need your protection," Gakushuu retorted, crossing his arms defiantly. "I can handle myself just fine."
Karma raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes. "Oh, I know you can. But that doesn't mean I can't lend a hand now and then. Plus, it's not like I'm doing this out of the goodness of my heart. I just don't want any interruptions when I finally defeat you."
Gakushuu's lips curled into a smirk, a challenge gleaming in his eyes. "Defeat me? We'll see about that, pirate."
Karma's grin widened, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I look forward to it, prince."
He released Gakushuu, who felt a subtle stirring of arousal, though he adamantly refused to acknowledge it.
Despite their families' long-standing feud, there was an undeniable spark between them. It was a connection that neither of them could fully understand, but one that seemed to draw them together despite the odds stacked against them.
As the days passed on the bustling island port, Gakushuu was unable to shake the memory of his encounter with Karma in the hidden alleyway. There was something about the pirate boy that intrigued him, something that stirred emotions within him that he had never experienced before.
Meanwhile, Karma couldn't seem to get Gakushuu out of his mind either. The image of the prince's defiant smirk and challenging gaze lingered in his thoughts, igniting a fire within him that he couldn't extinguish.
It was on one fateful evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, that their paths crossed once again.
Gakushuu was wandering the crowded streets of the port, lost in thought as he pondered the events of the past few days.
He had tried to push thoughts of Karma from his mind, to focus on his duties as a prince and the expectations placed upon him by his family, but the boy seemed to haunt his every waking moment.
Suddenly, he caught sight of a familiar figure up ahead, his heart skipping a beat as he realized who it was. Karma was once again standing at the edge of the bustling marketplace, his eyes scanning the crowd with a mischievous glint.
Without hesitation, Gakushuu made his way towards him, his footsteps quickening with each step. He wasn't sure what compelled him to seek out Karma, to seek out the very person who was supposed to be his enemy, but he couldn't deny the pull that drew him to the pirate boy like a magnet.
As he drew closer, Karma turned and spotted him, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Well, look who decided to grace me with their presence," he said, his voice laced with amusement.
Gakushuu rolled his eyes, trying to mask the fluttering feeling in his chest with a look of indifference. "Don't get too excited, pirate. I'm only here to make sure you're not causing any trouble, once again."
Karma chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest as he regarded Gakushuu with a playful glint in his eyes. "Ah, but where's the fun in that? Besides, I thought we already established that I’m up to nothing strange."
Gakushuu bristled at Karma's words, a surge of irritation coursing through him. "That doesn't mean I have to stand by and watch as you wreak havoc on this island."
Karma raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, so now you're concerned about the well-being of this island? How noble of you, prince."
Gakushuu scowled, his cheeks flushing with anger. "I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing it for the people who call this place home, people who deserve better than to be caught in the crossfire of our family's feud."
For a moment, there was a flicker of something in Karma's eyes, a hint of vulnerability that took Gakushuu by surprise. But before he could dwell on it further, the moment passed and Karma's usual smirk returned, his mask firmly back in place.
"Well, aren't you just full of surprises, prince," Karma said, his tone teasing. "But enough talk. How about we make a deal? You let me go about my business, and I promise not to cause any trouble for your 'precious island'."
Gakushuu hesitated, torn between his duty as a prince and the strange connection he felt with Karma. In the end, curiosity won out, and he found himself nodding in agreement.
"Fine," he said, his voice firm. "But don't think for a second that I'm letting my guard down around you, pirate. I'll be keeping a close eye on you."
Karma grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I wouldn't expect anything less, prince. After all, where's the fun in a little competition without a bit of tension?"
With that, he turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Gakushuu standing alone in the bustling marketplace. As he watched Karma go, a strange mixture of emotions washed over him, leaving him feeling both exhilarated and unnerved.
Amidst the longstanding rivalry between their families, their fathers found themselves ensconced in a local bar, their laughter and camaraderie echoing into the early hours of dusk.
Gakushuu observed Karma from across the room, perched in a secluded corner, thoroughly entertained by the adoration of the town's girls. His charm was palpable, he even gifted one of his penknifes to one of the girls.
Gakushuu couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy—not for the girls themselves, but for Karma.
Meanwhile, amidst the joviality of the bar, a young sailor approached Gakushuu's table, his intent clear as he sought an opportunity to secure a position aboard Captain Asano's esteemed ship. Such a feat was no easy task, as the entire port was aware of the formidable challenge it presented.
Despite the sailor's persistent flattery, Gakushuu's attention wandered, inevitably drawn back to Karma's table. Their gazes met fleetingly before being interrupted by the sudden clamour of the girls surrounding Karma. With infectious laughter and playful tugs, they whisked him away towards a concealed doorway, leaving Gakushuu momentarily captivated by the sight.
As Karma disappeared into the throng of giggling girls, he threw a small wink in Gakushuu's direction—a gesture that sent a flurry of emotions coursing through him. Confusion mingled with excitement as Gakushuu grappled with the unfamiliar sensations stirring within him, unsure of what lay ahead in this unexpected entanglement with the enigmatic pirate.

As the night wore on, Gakushuu found himself unable to shake the image of Karma's mischievous grin and captivating presence. He couldn't understand why he was so drawn to someone from the enemy camp, someone who had caused him so much frustration and anger in the past.
Unable to resist the pull any longer, Gakushuu excused himself from the sailor and made his way towards the door Karma had disappeared behind. He pushed it open cautiously, unsure of what he would find on the other side.

Art History Pieces that Remind me of Lies of P
this is fully self-indulgent content that nobody asked for but as an enormous art history nerd I just needed to shout into the void about it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bernini's David
I mean, as a little guy constantly battling enormous guys, P's just very biblical David coded in general but something about his posture here, like the way he's winding up...i don't know. Love it. Love this sculpture so much. There's like a million statues of David and this one isn't as famous as Michelangelo's, but it's my favorite. Honorable mention for Donatello's version of David as well, but I wasn't sure about posting brass sculpture peen on tumblr dot gov.
Tumblr media
Caravaggio's Boy with Fruit Basket
ngl this one is more related to the Andrew Garfield recreation of this painting where he's putting his entire pussy into it but NEways! I don't have a ton to say about this one besides pretty boy <3 and also that I love baroque paintings; the lighting always looks so welcoming and warm and I want to live in them forever.
Tumblr media
Michelangelo's Madonna Pieta
I mean OBVIOUSLY we've all seen the Madonna Pieta imagery in-game but I got so so so so so hype seeing it in the game trailer because in all my art history classes this was one of my absolute favorite pieces we looked at. The biblical context behind it is so fucking gutwrenchingly sad and the fact that the blessed mother is proportionally huge compared to christ (like if this were to scale, she'd be about 7 feet tall) is so cool to me. Enormous holy woman cradling her dead child... I could say so much about it, but I'll spare you the essay. I just love this sculpture so fucking much. seeing it in-person someday is on my bucket list.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Sacrifice of Isaac - Lorenzo Ghiberti and Filippo Brunelleschi
These two bronze reliefs were actually made as part of a competition, so both of the artists depicted the same biblical scene of Abraham in the process of sacrificing his son Isaac and then being stopped by angels. The top image by Lorenzo Ghiberti I think was the winner? which I was always kinda miffed about, I liked Brunelleschi's piece a lot better because Isaac looks so fearful and almost like he's trying to break his bonds; his father looks more frenzied and ruthless and the angel's hand is literally pulling his arm away because the blade has already made contact with Isaac's neck like- I don't know I really love that we're witnessing the absolute highest moment of tension in the scene. So. Gepetto Bad. Bad old man. Be nice to your fucking son. That's my P related thought about this piece.

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐎𝐒, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐃𝐎𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐊𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐒, 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐋
Tumblr media
His hoofbeats echoed around him, bouncing off the jagged staircase with each heavy step he took. Up and up and up-- the stairs seemed endless, one turn of dark, ruddy brass after another, but the Reaper could tell he nearing his destination. It was clear in how the air, already impossibly hot from the combined rage of a million warriors battling endlessly below, grew hotter. It was clear in how his own fury, nearest in character to the Blood God's own, became deeper and the daemon himself became more brazen with each step.
He had been summoned by Kharneth personally. Him and him alone, a fact many of siblings had silently resented. Skarbrand still recalled striding past them, head high and full of purpose. Jostling their bulk with his own, shouldering them out of the way, and daring them to make a single sound in protest. No other but Khorne could do such a thing and live. No other but Khorne and himself, the favored of the Blood God, who enjoyed the Lord of Slaughter's favor like no daemon before or since.
Or so had been the case, up until recently.
Skarbrand had only heard of it through whispers and rumor, for he had been campaigning deep in the lands of his father's foes, reaping Skulls and adding yet more tales to his own Saga. The furies on the wind had chittered and gossiped, the bloodletters had grunted together in their harsh Khar-Dhar tongues whilst cleaning skulls, and even one or two of his Deathbringer kin had parroted the news: Khorne had taken a daemon to wife. A paramour, a consort, a Queen.
The Reaper had paid it no mind. This would happen sometimes; the titterings and tales of other, more frivolous daemons would worm their way into the Blood Legions like a Nurglish plague. He was above such things, naturally. But as he wheeled his legion around, skulls collected and corpses left the crumble to immaterial dust, the news did not fade. It persisted; nay, it grew. There were details now. This was no daemon from the four, or independent daemon yet to claim a god for a master. It was a daemon prince, a she-mortal from the material plane.
Skarbrand had laughed when he had first heard it. How ridiculous! That the Great Bloodwolf would feel such things for mere sheep to be culled. And then, he had grown angry when his kin had insisted it was the truth. But the Reaper had strode through the Bastion Gates, into the Great Hall of the Blood Feast, and he had seen her. Valkia the Bloody, the Gore-Queen, the she-mortal who had slain one of Slaanesh's ascended in single combat. And he had seen his father in a theopany of himself, a lesser form he rarely if ever took, and there had been a burning he could not describe that had taken root within him.
And that was when the Changer had struck, lighting yet another fire in the Reaper's breast.
Skarbrand was undefeated. Never had he failed to bring his master victory, never had he failed to glut the Blood God on blood and deliver a rich bounty to the Skull Throne. It was he who had defeated the champions of rival gods, and shattered their armies, razed their lands and struck fear and terror into their very hearts. The shadow of a grin worked it's way onto his doggish face as he recalled the Trickster's visit. How he had gripped the trembling fury in one mailed fist and leered contemptuously as it lied to him.
But were they lies?
Khorne could not make similar claims as the Wrathful Reaper. He had known humiliation at the hands of Slaanesh, humbling at the machinations of Nurgle, and outright defeat before the Changer. Literal statues, cast in bronze and made from the collars of his own hounds, had been erected of these failures and the Blood God had suffered their existence. He had lost, he had failed, and now there was a measly once-mortal attracting his eye. Softening his famously black heart.
ᴛⷮhͪeͤ Вloͦoͦdͩ Goͦdͩ iͥs͛ weͤaͣᴋⷦ. Whͪaͣᴛⷮ oͦᴛⷮhͪeͤrͬ eͤxͯрlaͣnaͣᴛⷮiͥoͦn cͨaͣn ᴛⷮhͪeͤrͬeͤ вeͤ? The Fury had strained within Skarbrand's ever-tightening grip. ᴛⷮoͦ s͛uͧrͬvͮiͥvͮeͤ weͤ mͫuͧs͛ᴛⷮ cͨhͪaͣngeͤ. Tumblr media
The Reaper gave a rumble, his heart swelling even to recall those words. He was no fool-- Tzeentch had his designs, obviously. Displacing Khorne would surely be part of some larger plan...but the Trickster had yet to see what Skarbrand would become as the new God of Blood. Khorne was no mystery, but the Reaper would be a new beast. A Daemon-God the four were yet to know.
At last, he climbed the final step, onto the tallest of the Brass Citadel's towers. The brassy shadows of the fortress fell away to the bright, bloody skies of the ever-burning realm. In all directions, battle could be witnessed. In the skies, Bloodthirsters dueled with axe and whip, on the bone-choked plains armies charged into one another with abandon, and even on the blood-oceans and rivers of lava slicing the land into chunks, Skullships rammed one another or shot volleys of burning heads at rival captains and crews.
Tumblr media
And overlooking it all was the Blood God himself, standing at the edge of the ramparts. If Skarbrand was a sight of terror, Kharneth was such eight hundred times over. He was tall and broad, clad in black-and-brass armor glowing with intricate bloody red runes. No other could've worn it, for the Blood God had a bulk to him that his children simply lacked, even mighty Skarbrand. He seemed to notice the Reaper's presence after a moment or two of surveying his realm, turning just enough to see his daemonic scion.
Tumblr media
Skarbrand stood straighter, gripped his axes tighter. Much of the fury borne of his ruminating disappeared the instant his father's hellish gaze fell upon him. Instantly, he dropped his eyes to the floor, then he himself followed, one knee bearing his weight.
" Father." Skarbrand began, " You sent for me."
Khorne gave a rumble at the deference, turning himself back around to behold his realm. "𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄, 𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐍. 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃."
The Reaper obeyed, and the closer he walked, the more of a poor idea the Changer's prattling seemed to be. He came to stand a ways behind the Blood God, not so presumptive as to stand beside his father. To the Chaos Power, he was tiny-- the size a mortal might've been compared to his own stature.
Tumblr media
"𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓. 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐒, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆."
Skarbrand's brow furrowed, but he did not react to the statement otherwise. There was a weight on his shoulder then and an accompanying heat he could feel through his armor and even his own skin. He looked up. A hand, armored and taloned, had settled on his shoulder. Khorne's hand. The Blood God was smaller now, closer to him in size, looking at him with a joyous reverence Skarbrand had seen him show vanishingly few of his devoted, be they mortal or daemon.
Tumblr media
"𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐒. 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐊𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐌𝐘 𝐎𝐖𝐍. 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐘 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐀𝐒 𝐈 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐍𝐎 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄."
The heat left. Khorne had pulled away, to continue overlooking his soon-to-be far more vast Kingdom.
"𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑. 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇."
The words should've heartened the Reaper and made solid his loyalties to his father...but the effect was the opposite one. Favor. Conqueror for the sake of his love-sick father. No, that was enough for Skarbrand no longer. To be rewarded with second place. To have this old dog standing in the way of his destiny as the new God of Blood. Indignant and newly assured with Kharneth's eyes elsewhere, back to him, neck so clearly in view, the Reaper's fury waxed and from his maw came a thunderous roar.
Tumblr media
Before Khorne could turn, Slaughter and Carnage were raised, burning with their own fury as they realized what their treasonous brother meant to do. What he meant to use them for, for which they could only watch and screech. Skarbrand, strongest daemon ever spawned by the warp, forged by Khorne's own fang and blooded by a billion battles, brought both of his War Axes down upon his father's armored neck--
It was like colliding with a wall of the most solid daemon-metal. The descent of his weapon halted, the mastercraft of Khorne's armor proven before his very eyes. The recoil of it rolled violently through Skarbrand, and he could feel blood on his tongue, in his nose, and a yet indeterminable ruin beneath his very skin, within his organs, bones, and muscles. And for what? When he looked down, only the merest divot had been cut into the Blood God's cuirass, cracks spider webbing only so far from the impact site. But no more. No blood, no real damage, nothing for his efforts.
He looked up at his father and found the Blood God staring at him. And there was a fury there he reserved for his brother gods. A mistake. That's what this had been. A trick and a trap. The Reaper made to flee his father's rage, but there was no escaping such a thing. Khorne had already seized him about the throat and around the Reaper, the air snapped and warped. He could feel his armor melting on his very flesh and out of the corner of his eyes, he could see the Citadel itself liquefy as Khorne grew brighter and brighter, his rage deeper and blacker. His hooves dangled from where Khorne held him and beheld him, his ruined face a vision of purest apoplexy.
Tumblr media
"𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐘, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃! 𝐌𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐓! 𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒𝐓! 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐏 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍, 𝐂𝐔𝐑?!"
The Blood God lifted Skarbrand high and then slammed him into the half-melted metal of the Citadel. Around them, volcanoes erupted, the land broke apart in earthquakes, and brass meteors wept from the sky. Fell winds whipped into bone-shredding storms and the skull plains overflowed with boiling blood, brass, and liquid fire. The Realm was just as angry as the God that had created it.
Pinning Skarbrand beneath his bulk, the Blood God pulled back a metal fist and then buried that fist in his son's face. Again and again and again, spiked knuckles ripping flesh from bone and knocking teeth from skull. Snapping and splintering horn and spilling blood. For his part, the only thing the Legendary Exile could do was take it. Endure. Move with the punches, so as to reduce their impact. Survive his father's incandescent fury.
"𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐈𝐓 𝐌𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐄. 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐀𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄?" Khorne grasped Skarbrand's head, his talons pressing into bone, ruining one eye. Through his own terror and Kharneth's wrath, the Reaper saw a mirthless grin stretched out across the Blood God's face, and he knew in the moment that his miseries were just beginning.
Tumblr media
"𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐄, 𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐍. 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐄." Pulling Skarbrand from the ground in his clawed grip, the Blood God held his broken form for all the realm see. He let them witness the cost of treachery and know that even his utmost favor would not excuse them from his wrath. And then, he channeled that wrath through his claws, his vengeance ugly to behold. Skarbrand screamed. He felt the flames of his father's rage burning him from within and without, searing away his very being, filling him with the fury he so coveted. His skin cracked, his body bulged, but Khorne sneered and denied the Reaper the mercy of fulmination.
Tumblr media
"𝐍𝐎, 𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐍. 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇, 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐎 𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄, 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔. 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐓. 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐈𝐓."
With the same claw he had shredded the Bloodthirster with, Kharneth had remade Skarbrand to carry his own rage. And when he had finished, the screaming Bloodthirster was little more than a beast, little more than a rabid overlarge Flesh Hound. But the Blood God had no more favor for this treacherous dog. He cocked back his arm and with one powerful flex, sent the Reaper over the edge of the tower and into the sky, a comet of ruin and destruction.

A Practitioner’s perspective: Icons.
Hi! My name is Nesi, and I’m a Kemetic Polytheist. I sometimes spend time describing my day-to-day life as a Kemetic practitioner, and I’m happy to open my door to assisting others with greater understanding of this beautiful spiritual path.
I finally had the opportunity to re-launch my website (https://wepwawet.ca) on new hosting (it has been down for several months now), and to celebrate I decided to take some cool pictures of some of my main shrine icons and share them with everyone!
Some people have the privilege in this world to have access to marvelous, expensive icons made of detailed, heavy wood, brass or bronze, marbles, precious materials, and so on. I however have not been that lucky, and this is added on top of the fact that Wepwawet is already not a popular Deity to find in commercial images.
Sometimes, as a result, a practitioner becomes creative: repurposing items, commissioning where possible, or crafting suitable images on your own.
Here is a selection of icons I have on my Shrines!
-------
Hybrid form
In my experience, Wepwawet has never asked of me to obtain specifically an icon of hybrid jackal-man form — except once. One time, in well over two decades. And this was the result, because when I saw this statue online, it was all I could do but promise it to him just so that I could move on with my day!
Tumblr media
One reason Wepwawet has never asked me to procure these human-animal statues is because they are almost always labeled as being “for Anubis” in terms of inscriptions or accent decor, or the statues come pre-emblazoned with nonsense hieroglyphs which mean nothing at all — something he has specifically asked me to avoid, if I am able to do so. But the above statue contains neither, though some of my other statues will fail this litmus test and still are acceptable for other important reasons.
Continuing in the Mixed human-animal category, I have two other primary statues of importance. The first is the very first statue to represent Wepwawet I ever purchased — ever. And this one does in fact brake the rule of having a few too many glyphs no one wants or needs, but that doesn’t matter much for this piece. When you’re talking about nostalgia, history, and connection, this piece brings it all back to me, and Wepwawet is quite accepting of it as a result.
Tumblr media
You will never find me pretending this statue is unique; it is, most certainly, not that and is a simple commercial statue. It was the coloring which drew me to it back then, having very little access to any statues of any kind yet coming across this silver-colored beauty was like a stroke of luck.
The other hybrid statue I enjoy the most is the Anubis piece from the Artisan Guild International collection, and I’m really happy to have a copy of this on my shrine. Even though we all know it was meant to represent Anubis, Wepwawet still enjoys having it on his main shrine.
Tumblr media
Standing Jackal
In the standing-jackal theriomorphic category, the world-wide offerings of such statues are limited, at best. This first piece, I reached out to an artist to create, it is carved from wood, stained on the base and painted black otherwise. It is a very simple piece but one of the first legitimately-undeniably-Wepwawet pieces I ever had.
Tumblr media
And with a thirst for All Things Jackal, I would move on to finding other ways to get my standing-jackal fix; namely, when I entered the world of 3D printing.
The majority of the icons on my shrines are, in fact, plastic — a true, egregious breach of protocol for many ritualists out there, but one that should be negotiated on a case-by-case basis between the person doing the offering, and whichever God(s) they believe in. In my case, the form of the standing jackal has always come up in my relationship with Wepwawet to be more important than the material, though should I ever enter a financial windfall, I’m sure that will change.
I created the Jackal model from scratch in a software package called Meshmixer and later fleshed out in other programs over the last few years. This first print-out is using a PLA Plastic filament that is mixed with wood (about 30% wood to 70% plastic is a common ratio). This allowed me to sand the finish piece, paint it, and apply top coats to give it a metallic-like finish. The base was also 3D printed in the same material, and stained with regular wood stain.
Tumblr media
Sidebar:
A little quote from me making this model a handful of years ago:
1) Put shapes on the board in roughly the anatomical location. 2) Spend 4 hours making it look less silly 🤨 3) ??? 4) Profit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to the jackals:
The next piece is actually a PLA model with Acrylic paints sitting on top, but the base is in fact made of wood and was made by a friend of mine back in the day. The original piece had a much smaller wooden jackal standing on top, but it was quite fragile and simply could not weather the ongoing apartment moves we endured over several years, hence being replaced with the 3D printed alternative which is also quite a bit bigger.
Tumblr media
Then arrives my Standard, a pride and joy of of mine as the entire thing — including the stick and base — are 3D printed, yet it stands at least 4 feet tall. Everything is done in the same wood-plastic filament I had used in previous projects, the carrying pole is printed in several components which fit together to form the tall stick, and there is a base which holds the pole (not pictured), printed in a metal copper-plastic hybrid filament for strength.
Being able to effectively have a true standard was a goal of mine, and I’m glad I was able to make it a reality.
Tumblr media
And the last icon for the page, at least for now, is a pair of cheeky little Wepwawets who hail from the Hachette collection of small statues. I actually have over 100 Gods of Ancient Egypt from Hachette in a tall display cabinet, but these two obviously hold a special place in my heart for obvious reason.
One cites the English inscription “Wepwawet” while the other puts it forward in French as “Oupouaout” which I actually appreciate so much since that is exactly how I pronounce it anyway.

Argo is a young, beautiful man of below-average height with a slender figure. He has very androgynous features, so much so that he can be mistaken for either gender. His sharp eyes resemble melted bronze, and his hair is black as night, made of soft, loose curls trimmed to just brush his shoulders, while his skin is a warm shade of honey brown.
When working as a detective, he wears a black dress shirt with the top unbuttoned to expose his neck, a deep blue corset vest with lighter blue details and small bronze clasps down the front. His black pants are fitted but not tight, with the ends tucked into a pair of dark brown boots reaching just below his knees. Over it all, he wears an ocean-blue trench coat with bronze buttons. Brown leather arm guards are on his wrists to protect him when Caspian rests on his forearms/wrists. Lastly, he wears a black choker with a bronze nautilus shell pendant, small matching earrings, and goggles on the top of his head with elegant waves engraved into the metal surrounding the lenses.
Argo uses a pair of custom-made forearm crutches to assist in walking. They are made of brass-plated poles with copper handles and matching forearm cuffs. On the ends of the poles are copper covers with rubberized tips to stabilize when the crutches touch the ground. The poles are also carved with intricate wave engravings like the ones on Argo's goggles.

Trivia
Argo suffers from Mal de Debarquement, also called "landing sickness," a rare disease which results in a near-constant feeling of motion, even when sitting or standing still. Think of the feeling of standing on a boat rocking in the waves; the rocking or bobbing movement Argo experiences is similar. It also results in a sense of imbalance and vertigo, among other symptoms that he suffers from. Argo has good days and bad ones where his symptoms are better or worse, respectively
He uses his crutches to help keep his balance while walking and standing still
While he can run, he'll only do so if necessary or if someone is with him and can stop him from running into anything or falling over
Despite his condition, Argo loves sailing; he used to sail every chance he got while living in Italy
He talks with his hands like many Italians do. It becomes more animated if he doesn't have his crutches to limit certain movements
He's a musician and singer. He doesn't often perform for others, but those who have heard him will say he's amazing
He's left-handed
He loves the ocean and everything about it. Fish, waves, seashells, beaches… If it's related to the ocean, he loves it
Likewise, he LOVES swimming. Whether for pleasure or sport, he enjoys soaking in the waves

The second of the four designs for my 2022 Pride line: a portrait of Holy Antinoos, the deified lover of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. More myth than fact remains of either his life or his death, but the record is clear that he died while travelling with Hadrian in Egypt and that emperor had him deified, established a hero cult in his name, and named a city after him. The cult never became a major religion, but it was widespread and reasonably popular, and Antinoos became both a religious and literary icon of sexual love between men. I based this image of Antinoos on a Roman statue in the Antinous Mondragone style from the 2nd century CE, reframed in imitation of an ancient coin.
* Made of solid .925 sterling silver or shibuichi (an art metal alloy made of 3:1 copper:silver), yellow brass, or bronze.
* Available as a coin, with an upeye for use as a pendant, or with three jump rings for use in a rosary-style necklace.
Each piece is hand-made to order in my home studio, with unique variations and defects as a result of the fabrication and casting process.

November 15th 1873 saw the Statue to Greyfriar’s Bobby unveiled.
If there is a more famous statue to a dog in the world it would surprise me,  the commonly accepted story tells us that Bobby was a Skye Terrier dog belonging to a Jock Gray, a farmer from the Pentland Hills, who regularly dined at an inn in Grassmarket, not far from Greyfriars's  Churchyard.
When Jock Gray, died in 1858, the dog refused to leave his master’s grave. He turned up regularly for 14 years at the inn at Grassmarket which had been frequented by his master and was fed there by locals who were taken by the dog’s devotion. The story may have been embellished by John Traill, the owner of the restaurant.
Other versions suggest that the dog belonged to a local policeman and that while the dog was frequently found in the churchyard, it was also looked after by residents in the houses in nearby Candlemaker’s Row, including Colour Sergeant Donald MacNab Scott, serving in the Royal Engineers Survey Company and Royal Artillery priming the 1 o’clock time gun.
Greyfriar’s Bobby died on 14th January 1872, but within a year he was immortalised when Greyfriars Bobby Fountain was born.
As heiress to her grandfather's £1.8 million fortune (equivalent to over £170m in 2022), Lady Burdett-Coutts was one of the wealthiest women in Victorian Britain, and, as President of the Ladies Committee of the RSPCA, a lover of animals. So charmed was she by the story of Bobby's affection, Lady Burdett-Coutts, who was well-known for her acts of philanthropy, wrote to Edinburgh's town council to request permission for a memorial to be erected.
Lady Burdett-Coutts' publicly undisclosed offer was gratefully received. The lifelike statue was duly commissioned and sculpted by the artist William Brodie.
The statue itself was placed on a seven-foot-high memorial plinth and drinking fountain (designed to accommodate people and dogs) of Peterhead granite. On the upper column, two reliefs were made, one depicting the coat of arms of the Baroness, and the other for the City of Edinburgh.
A large crowd assembled to watch the unveiling of Greyfriars Bobby's monument on this day in 1873.
The red granite fountain offered drinking water to humans using stone drinking cups attached by chains until 1975. Dogs drank from an octagonal trough at ground level.
A plaque on the base reads A tribute / to the affectionate fidelity of / Greyfriars Bobby. / In 1858, this faithful dog followed / the remains of his master to Greyfriars Churchyard and lingered near the spot / until his death in 1872. / With permission / erected by the / Baroness Burdett-Coutts.
The monument was listed a Category A historic building on 29 April 1977 and is Edinburgh’s smallest listed building.
When the fountain was first erected a gas street light stood behind the statue, and during the conversion to electricity of the city’s lights, the lamp was removed. It has now been duplicated using historic photographs and salvaged lamp columns with the assistance of a grant from Edinburgh World Heritage.
A stones-throw from the statuer  is Greyfriar Bobby’s Bar, previously known as Traill’s Restaurant. A plaque on the wall states: Greyfriars / “Bobby” / was fed here / from / 1858 to 1872.
Tumblr media
A recent custom of rubbing Bobby’s nose for luck removed the black finish and exposed the underlying brass. On 1st October 2013, Powderhall Bronze, a sculpture conservation and restoration specialist, was hired to clean, wax and re-patinate Bobby’s nose, but idiots still rub the nose and it looks, in my opinion terrible now.
Tumblr media
148 years later, Bobby's monument and the legend that charmed a wealthy English baroness into paying for it, endure. And in my opinion  if this generous Victorian philanthropist hadn’t come forward with this offer we not have seen a statue being erected, Edinburgh Council would certainly not have paid for such a frivolous thing!
Pics are from through the years, the one with Bobby being carried by the polisman is from 1955 when he knocked off his pedastal after a car crashed into it.  Pic three is Walt Disney, not touching Bobby’s nose in 1960, and four is Hollywood star Jack Palance, not touching Bobby’s nose, from a 1982 documentary  Ripley's Believe It or Not! The wee clip can be seen at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjSkBhCVb3M

Here is my version of Samyaza!
WARNING: There is a brief mention of copulation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Semujozrinkha is a fallen cherub who has a habit of satisfying his carnal desires with multiple mortal women. He enjoys boasting about his past victories and extreme power in both social status and physicality. He’s likely to betray people if they give off a bad first impression, but makes him untrustworthy and even dangerous. Whenever his irritation kicks in, he flies into a blind rage, showing no mercy and compassion towards those who got under his skin. Despite his lust, pride, and wrath, he has somewhat improved his self-control, trying his best to maintain a kind and reserved attitude. Due to his strong sense of militarism, he has a readiness to wage war and put legit effort into achieving victory. He highly respects his creator, sons, grandchildren, friends, and former comrades, possessing a willingness to protect them from harm’s way. Semujozrinkha is superficially skillful and witty due to his sharp intelligence, great wisdom, and methodical cunningness.
He’s a rectangular mesomorph with an approximate height of 8’ 4” (254 cm), a prominent musculature, a square chest, and partially broad shoulders. Due to being a cherub, Semujozrinkha has the head of a masculine human (front), an eagle (right), a lion (left), and an ox (back). His rough skin is a snow-white with major greyish-pink battle scars and severe red-violet burns on his back, palms, and upper body. He has sunburst pale turquoise-cobalt blue eyes and massive avian wings of polished bronze. He possesses long faux hawk hair with delicate curls and it’s in a fade from royal heath-to-mulberry wood. His soft lips are a lochinvar, his cat eye makeup is a shimmering luxor gold, his cheeks and temples have vanilla ice blushing, and his nails are a metallic purple. He has two silver serpents encircling his arms, gilt-brass anklets, and a necklace with a wide isosceles triangle of rough bloodstone. A thin, diaphanous aqua forest stole flutters around him, circling their heads in a shape reminiscent of a halo. He dons three robes: a short robe of gold-brown moose fur; a medium, rippling velvet robe of old gold with cardinal stripes; and a long, flowing silk robe of blumine with breaker bay dots, turmeric circles, and tawny port triangles. There are four wispy clouds of coppery hue behind his head. Semujozrinkha wields a gilt-brass staff that has a sculpted peacock with a serpentine tail and outstretched wings.
When he’s in his infernal form, his height is 15’ 2” (462.28 cm) and the musculature of his body is grotesque and unnaturally robust. Most of his arms, upper body, and necks are missing skin, which reveals the glistening red-violet muscle fibres with faint golden veins. He has a thick serpentine tail of silver that’s half his height, five arms, large peacock wings, and seven heads with elongated necks. These seven heads mimic the skeletal shape of an adult Triceratops horridus, but each one has barracuda teeth. Semujozrinkha’s hands have the metallic purple claws of a dragon and each head is adorned with ten ox horns and circles of twelve golden stars. He has old gold eyes with aqua forest pupils, mulberry wood slits, royal heath outlining, and black sclera. His legs are covered in gold-brown moose fur and he has cloven hooves of gilt-brass. He wields a bident of shadows, a green lion’s head with a sunny mane, and a dew-covered shield of rose gold that’s in the form of the Sigillum Dei.
As a cherub, Semujozrinkha can perceive angels, demons, and mortals, turn invisible, create fire through singing divine hymns, and generate lightning and thunder with each flap of his wings. He has psychokinesis, cosmic awareness, knowledge of all earthly things and forbidden secrets, and absolute wisdom. He also has the ability to change in humanoids, birds, and draconic creatures, an indomitable will, omnilingualism, omnicompetence, and omnipresence. He can perform strenuous activities for centuries and endure all levels of discomforts, temperatures, and diseases. His senses are heightened, and his strength allows him to lift and move mountains, continents, megastructures, minor dwarf planets, and low mass stars. All biological strikes can partially split planets, create canyons, generate tsunamis, and halt any meteorological phenomenon. He’s capable of recalling lost souls to their bodies and telepathically reading thoughts, memories, dreams, and emotions. His kisses and sensual touches can put people to sleep, heal physical injuries and distress, and induce lust, pride, and wrath. Through his precognition, he can view future events, but they’re cryptic and sometimes unreliable. He possesses nearly infallible tactics and strategy, and he can grant superior powers in exchange for allegiance. Semujozrinkha has the ability to manipulate wrath, pride, lust, affection, lying, corruption, pestilence, poison, madness, temptations, demons, watchers, hellfire, and the abyss.
FAMILY:
Unnamed Angel of the Dawn (ex-lover)
Koscharubiel (son)
Yekihojan (son)
Luxaszofer (son)
Ezlaphorius (grandson)
Äbhiszelondur (grandson)
Blesaphongur (granddaughter)

ALIASES/NICKNAMES:
Samyaza
The Angel That Gave Into Carnal Knowledge
Progenitor of the Nephilim
Leader of the Watchers
He Sees The Name
Dad (by Koscharubiel, Yekihojan, and Luxaszofer)
My dearest grandfather (by Ezlaphorius)
Grandpappy (by Äbhiszelondur and Blesaphongur)
FUN FACTS/EXTRA INFORMATION:
He’s heterosexual and polyamorous
He’s older than the Milky Way
As an Æylphitus, his name means “to gaze from heaven or my name has seen”.
He chose not to heal most of his wounds as a reminder of his numerous victories.
He’s the first Äylcephomus to fall from grace
He was kicked out of Eylvhraszokjumni because he copulated with many female humans, aiding in the creation of the Nephilim. It’s also possible that he was punished on the basis of murdering his ex-lover, so he can indulge in his lust for the daughters of humankind. However, this is pure speculation that’s popular amongst those who believe in this theory.
He was originally the supreme king of Nifjazroghetus, but decided to pass his royal status to his youngest son. The reason why he gave up being a king was because he believed that Luxasofer deserved it more than he did.
Luxasofer is his most favourite son
