Sources for Somerton's Plagiarism from Hbomberguy's Video (as much as I could get)

I went back through Harry's video, focused entirely on the sources James Somerton pulled from in the hopes of creating as much of a comprehensive list as I could--though my Google-Fu is not very strong. I did however find something I thought was forever lost and that made me very happy--specifically the magazine Midlands Zone containing the column by Steven Spinks that Harry poignantly used as an illustration of gay erasure... while Somerton uses it to sound like HE is waxing remorseful about the very subject.

This is not a complete list, I'm sure. For one thing, I was only able to attempt to pull sources that Harry himself mentioned in the video. Surely there's so very much more out there. I expect there to be a great deal more internet archeology to unearth just how much writing and culture Somerton has stolen like he's the British Museum of Natural History but for gay people.

Neuron Crew are a group of Hobi's dance colleagues and friends from pre-debut. He's known them since middle school. This video was shot at Daedong Plaza in Gwuangju, Hobi's hometown city.

The rehearsal room was full of people. The wooden floor squeaked against the soles of some sneakers as some of them practiced some of the moves of the choreography they were to learn that day.

 

Vernon and Jeonghan were sitting in some chairs against the wall, while Vernon was showing something on his phone to the older man.

 

Seungcheol was talking to some staff members, and Hoshi was discussing some ideas with the choreographer.

 

You locked eyes with a big guy who was sitting with his back against the big mirror. He was running his hand through his hair, taking a sip of what was left of the bottle of water.

 

He waved at you, making others aware of your presence.

 

"(Y/n), nice to see that you made it here safely." Seungcheol greeted you, smiling as he made you walk closer to the rest.

 

One big one introduced themselves, making comments here and there to make some small conversation.

 

You weren't going to lie; it was as awkward as it could get, but you guessed there was no turning back now; it couldn't get more awkward than this.

 

There were cameras everywhere, recording everything as they were preparing a documentary on the behind-the-scenes of your incorporation into the group and everything that could bring a new addition to the group with a comeback around the corner.

While the choreographer was giving you some indications, the camera suddenly focused on you.

After some time, Seungcheol asked the choreographer if you could all take a few seconds to rest and drink some water.

 

Your face was completely red, and your hair was a mess. You were too sweaty and feared that you would not be able to finish this night of practice.

 

The crew started zooming in on your face, following your every move as you sat on the floor and downed your water bottle in a matter of seconds.

Really took everything in my soul to not run out of my workplace today to go outside and breathe and not to panic because of Depp vs Amber documentary showing up on Netflix today. It's one thing for the trial to have aired last year, and yes, people can still go online and see the unconscionable attacks against Amber on YouTube and social media. But for Netflix to make it a permanent apart of their collection as a "documentary" with no experts making a case of anything for Amber, to basically let viewers at home take part in reliving the trial and getting their jollies thinking he was the abused party as the judge and jury all over again- is extremely triggering for survivors of abuse like myself. All we are told and shown is that no matter what we say, who we talk to, the amount of evidence we have, is not enough to be believed when it should be. There's no amount of words to put into how we struggle with not gaslighting ourselves about the abuse we endured because that's what our abusers taught us to do, let alone move about in the world where one of the strongest and what-should've-been clearest displays of abuse is met with more gaslighting on every social media platform, every google search, every comment section who dare says Depp is the victim - he is not. And for him to sit back, relax, doodle, eat gummy bears in a room full of his fans, and the world humiliating Amber, is so triggering to the amount of times my abuser would treat me and my family like shit behind closed doors and then pretend he was the nicest caring person in front of anyone else. There are so many signs of genuine PTSD I recognized in Amber giving her testimony. The bravery she had to sit on her own in a room full of fans, knowing almost everyone online supporedt him and stood outside the courtroom like it was a tailgating event, is unimaginable.

This should have not been regarded as a national pastime to go viral and hold onto nostalgia for a monster. I'm really begging everyone - look to survivors of abuse/assault for what is going with this trial and similar situations such as Megan Thee Stallion and FKA Twigs, and not watch this documentary. Please do not give Netflix the views or interest. Let it tank. Let it fail. Let them know that it's not wanted. Because this should not be wanted.

hobbies, literature, writing, and documentaries: a lot of these people were up to shady things growing up from my experience. they did a lot of "under the table" and "above the law" type of "work." their genre of choice is typically horror, satire, and/or smut. they love psychological documentaries - they love the gritty elements of this world and seeing that not all people are good. they also love witchcraft. they are likely to write under a pseudonym if they do write.

Never Let Me Go (Tues YT) 4 of 12 - I keep saying this, but I can’t get over how delighted I am to have Perth back on my screen, and under the GMMTV umbrella. He is a stellar actor. I like that the first kiss of this show wasn’t btw the leads. Felt more realistic to high school. Big drama next week!

My School President (Fri YT) 5 of 10 - I missed these two so much last week. But also there was A MUSICAL INCIDENT and it caused a bit of a rant from yours truly. 

Between Us (Sun iQIYI) 9 of 12 - no ep this week, resumes tomorrow WATCH ALONG HERE.

609 Bedtime Story (Fri WeTV) 7 of 11 - Game remains my spirit animal (pushy fucker), and the plot of the main couple is interesting even if I don’t like the cheating component. 

Cutie Pie 2 You (special) 1 of 4 - Oh it’s a full on special. Very very pretty and, is possible, more sappy and full of manufactured angst. Nuea protecting Hia’s interests was sweet. Lots of making out. So... more of the same, basically. What year are we in now, anyway?

I Will Knock You (Fri Gaga) 8 of 12 - (note from my Thai language spy rgr ep 5: the writing on the stone tablets was their names + 2 family members) And now we are suddenly firmly in BL territory and baby Dom is just a baby Seme. No bisexual identity crisis needed... just diving into cheese fest. 

Remember Me (Sun Gaga) 13 of 14 - I would have kept JaFirst apart for longer, quite frankly. I mean otherwise why bother split them up in the first place? Please just end this show already. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

The New Employee (Korea Weds Viki) 3 of 8 - I love them so much, and they are so cute, and this is not open to discussion. Viva la age gap! 

The Director Who Buys Me Dinner (Korea Weds iQIYI) 7-8 of 10 - There is a lot implied about the leads history together, but it was still nice to get backstory plus GAT KISSES. I love it when they flip the dynamic and give the uke agency. I’m really enjoying this show now, I’m even invested in the love triangle.

HIStory 5: Love in the Future (Taiwan Weds Viki) 2 of 10 - Side couple ascension: Daddy Long Legs trope, it’s been a while since I have seen this in ANY romance drama. I’m not really into the main couple, at least not yet (and I totally missed that they hadn’t met each other in person yet), but I really love the side dishes. It’s like H4 all over again only with less dub con.

Candy Color Paradox AKA Ameiro Paradox (Japan Fri Gaga) 4 of 8 - nothing this week. 

It’s Airing But I’m Not Watching It

Love Bill (Vietnam Sat YT) - Bah Vinh is back but I’m too distracted. Also there’s a lot of fund raising stuff going on with them. I can wait.

The Star Always Follow You (Vietnam YT) - same Team RL peeps we have seen before (Sunshine, Stupid)

Moonlight Chicken GMMTV’s Midnight series (Weds YT) 1 of 8 eventually - first segment has begun bit it’s not the EarthMix messy gays. Sorry all, I’m so not interested in messy hets, so I’m waiting until they grace my screen.

Should I watch The Warp Effect? Tublr seems excited about it and BL bits look good? Will they end happy? Thoughts anyone? 

Till the World Ends (Thai YT) finished at 10 eps, the heat looked good but I don’t know about the ending with that kind of title, so did anyone risk it and want to tell me what they thought? I haven’t seen much chatter on my feed so I am not optimistic.

2022′s The Usual Night (Twitter account) from Japan is a 10-ep fake documentary series starring the members of Jpop group the Fantastics. It flew under everyone’s radars but apparently has a BL subplot featuring Yagi Yusei (My Beautiful Man) and Seguchi Leiya. This officially means they beat OnlyOneOf to the punch as the first inter-group BL pairing. Keito Kimura (Onoe from Candy Color Paradox) is also a member of Fantastics and in the show. Source reddit. No word on official international release. Japan is like that. 

OnlyOneOf’s Nine dropped the last (?) in their BL Kpop series, 'beyOnd' (be #6)

14. What are they petty about?

Although he appears professional and put-together to the public, we know that's not the full story. Jumin can be childish and petty too, especially when talking to certain members of the RFA 👀.

He's very sensitive about Elizabeth the Third. Call her by her full name, treat her with respect and recognize her true beauty and elegance or face the wrath of petty cat mother Jumin.

Also, I think he's at his pettiest when talking to Zen. It's very satisfying to see how quickly he can get a rise out of him, and it's good revenge for when Zen is talking shit in the chat.

31. What dumb shit do they do without hesitation?

Spending money. Especially with two people (technically one person and one cat) to spoil now, he will not hesitate to drop ridiculous amounts of money on things that he shouldn't, just to make you happy. Be careful of what you say around him or he'll be buying you an island just because you said you miss the beach.

Elizabeth III lives in kitty paradise and wears diamond-encrusted collars, and it's still not enough for him. She has enough toys, beds, collars and different kinds of treats to last her all of her nine lives.

Special mention for this moment:

Pure reckless dumb ideas from Jumin here. Only he would think of stealing a sports car and crashing it just to get revenge and let off steam.

50. What are they super embarrassed about enjoying?

He isn't used to feeling embarrassment. However, he has some guilty pleasures that he likes to keep to himself.

I think that he secretly enjoys reality TV shows. The over-the-top personalities, the bizarre situations they get put into, the ridiculous fights that inevitably break out... He just can't look away. It's like a nature documentary on a new and strange environment he'd never have known otherwise.

He also enjoys watching romance dramas (though he stays away from ones about office romances, they feels too close to home). He is secretly an expert on the different tropes and character types, and likes to theorize with Elizabeth on what's going to happen next.

Jihyun

14. What are they petty about?

I believe that Jihyun at his best is as mischievous and petty as the next RFA member. Remember, he grew up with Jumin. He can give as good as he gets, even if it's in his own way.

This is most obvious when he's talking to Jumin or Saeyoung, as he's the most comfortable with them. If they try to tease him or embarrass him, he has plenty of ammunition on them to fire back.

31. What dumb shit do they do without hesitation?

*gestures to the whole of another story*

V thinking he could take on Mint Eye and rescue MC all by himself only to get drugged into oblivion is a pretty strong contender for dumbest V moment.

Despite being one of the oldest members and the head of the RFA, he doesn't seem to think things through completely. He's the definition of act first and think later, because he has so much that he's desperate to protect.

50. What are they super embarrassed about enjoying?

Videogames. He has a console at home (an old one of Jumin's) and a decent collection of games. He often unwinds by playing indie games with unique artstyles and calming environments. These aren't the ones he's embarrassed about.

He made a LOLOL account out of curiosity after hearing Yoosung talk about it, and was hooked almost immediately. He has since gotten quite good at it and even branched into other similar games. He doesn't bring it up in the chat because he's embarrassed of what Saeyoung and Yoosung would say if they found out.

⠀☆ Joohyung was really excited seeing all the moas that came to watch their documentary early, so as the MC told them to greet the moas from left to right she made sure to meet eye contact with as many moas as she can and wave happily at them.

⠀☆ “I’m also happy that we get to share a more vulnerable side of us to moas or even to people who really want to see a true side of tomorrow x together besides the individuals they see on stage.” Joohyung added on to what Soobin was saying.

⠀☆ one of the MC’s questions were ‘what do you think you lost during 2020 when the pandemic started’ and Joohyung listened very carefully to her members speaking. “And you Joohyung-ssi?” The MC asked. “I don’t know if it was just me thinking this way, but it felt like we kinda lost our purpose to perform.” The members instantly agreed with Joohyung. “We as artists feed through our fans cheers and seeing their faces lit up or just seeing and hearing them singing along. And when the pandemic hit and we could no longer hear or see moas it really took a toll on me. So I questioned myself a lot in my head while we had comebacks without seeing moas, or when we had our first concert online instead in person like ‘what’s the point if I can’t see moas or even hear them sing with us?’ ” Joohyung answered wholeheartedly. “But I always remembered to give it my all because moas everywhere we’re going through a hard time just like us obviously, and I just wanted them to forget about what’s happening in the real world.”

⠀☆ “I agree with Beomgyu I really love ‘IKILY’ and hearing the screams, plus I just enjoy performing that song overall.” Joohyung shared one her memorable moments.

⠀☆ It was time for each member to choose a fan question. “Unnie what was the hardest part during the tour? P.s. I love you~” Joohyung laughed at the end. “I love you too moa.” She gave a little heart to the crowd before continuing. “Um, definitely was not trying to cry once i immediately saw the venues full with moas after so long. Before I actually didn’t cry a lot, but now I’m like a little crybaby.” Joohyung chuckled at herself.

⠀☆ Time went by pretty quickly because it was time for the members to say their ending ment before letting the moas watch an early screening of their documentary. “I hope you will like this because it really shows you behind the scenes of what was really going on, and some of us had a hard time during the making of this. So thank you a lot moa and have a good time, bye~”

⠀☆ The group did photo time before Joohyung sign them off and giving one last ‘thank you’ before leaving the preview. “Thank you for coming and hearing us talk. Please enjoy the documentary and we’ll see each other again.”

To congratulate them and leave, paint myself as the bad guy… that’s more bearable than watching everything, knowing their thoughts and reactions, filming their lingering stares, knowing how they both truly love each other. It makes me sick. Nauseous and Dizzy. I just want to go home.

Diluc Ragvindr is known to be an honest man, and today he made it clear to himself that he can never be truly happy you’re getting married.

Mind empty, hearts full of regrets he uttered such words

For sure if Yoongi blesses us on March 9 with a birthday live THAT will be the last one from him as we expect him to be enlisted before the next one. 

Anyway, back to Hobi...

The Jack in the Box documentary was AMAZING! And he was so excited that it was finally released. 

He showed us his photofolio and said that he barely recognizes himself in the photos and now they seem to have a different feel for him. I am thinking since the fo-fo was so far in the past, even before his work on Jack in the Box commenced in earnest, he desired to show something other than sunshiney J-Hope and this was the beginning of that for him. And he saw us all immediately tagging the long purple haired images as “Legolas”. Nothing gets by him y’all. 

He seemed to choose his words carefully even saying he had a lot going on but was being careful what he said...But he does eventually talk about Hope in the Street. This project will be just as amazing as everything else he’s done. I hope we get to see Hobi exploring all the facets that street dance encompasses today. He said he’s almost finished filming it all but does not know when or how it will be released.

During this live he also said things like: why did J-Hope work on all of these things? In time we will see and understand. He mentioned a few times how time seems to really be flying by... perhaps his military service is staring him in the face and he is trying to do everything he wants before it is time to enlist [sound of my heartbreaking]. Hobi will be 30 next year. But let’s be honest [as Jimin would say]... we need them to get their butts enlisted so they can be back sooner than later... right? It’s a waiting game for us. They will do what is right for them when the time is right.

But just think of all the memories he has now of all these things he’s experienced on his own. 

The Bangtan Speed Dating agenda was alive and well in the comments. We seem to have moved on from Party Party Yeah and Yoongi Marry Me... finally.

Was he hinting that he filmed Suchwita earlier that day??? YES PLEASE!!

My heart is so full watching Hobi and Jimin’s friendship featured on both the doc and during Hobi’s live. They definitely epitomize BFF goals. Hobi says he’s seen Jimin unusually a lot lately. Them both being the workaholics of the bunch, it’s no wonder. Does anyone know which Sandcastle game it is they play? And them speaking in shorthand code: “understandable why it got dirty” and “are you coming tomorrow?” They know stuff we don’t. It’s not nice to keep secrets from us...

Yoongi showed up in the comments too with “Happy Birthday Bro” and I’ll finish it for him: #itsSugahyung ... since they apparently have abandoned the bird app. Times... they are a changin’...

okayy heres my tour ranking (note that there isnt an official tour video for red OR eras so this probs affects my ranking,,, more for red than eras bc i see eras content every single day online anyway)

speak now world tour - okay i may be biased because this is my favourite album,, but even if it wasnt this would be her best tour (in my opinion),, i feel like in her old concerts she was so theatrical, and parts of it kinda looked like a full broadway production,, also the iconic elements like the lyrics on the arm, also shout out to the live album recording of this bc i listen to it soooo much and its amazing and perfect and show stopping etc etc im literally gonna list a bunch of iconic moments right here: THE HAUNTED BELL, the fireworks during dear john, the koi fish guitar with the light up tree, the gold fringe dress (DROP EVERYTHING NOW) the ballgown, just the wholle thing is the best thing i have ever seen

eras tour - this tour actually is killing me with all of the nostalgia watching her sing through and acknowledge all of her old albums and past selves (except debut, rip😔). and i especially love all of the details from past concerts she has (like the fearless spins, the sparkly & koi guitars, the over head hand heart) and also the new visuals for existing tours (like the old taylors in glass cages for rep) AND the visuals for the albums that hadnt been toured before (lover, folklore, evermore, midnights) i just think that she really did her albums justice (again, apart from debut☠️) and its insane that the show is so long 3+ hours

reputation stadium tour - karyn the snake is the coolest thing ive ever seen. also the ready for it intro with the hooded bodysuit outfit is ICONIC,,, i love the choreo on this tour, like the part of i did something bad where taylor gets lifted up like a cheerleader (AHHHHHH) and i love the quiet long live / new years day moment on the piano,, its so nice

the red tour - like i said before, there isnt a tour movie for this one so i dont know as much about it, but i loveeee how fun it is, i love the ringleader outift and circus theme for the closing song, we are never ever getting back toghether (my favourite part of the show) and i love the unnecessary hairflips during all too well😭

the 1989 world tour - this tour feels like her biggest one (even though it isnt), its like the most pop artist thing ever, its less theatre-production like than any of her other tours and it feels less personal? that being said its obviously very iconic, im forever obsessed with the wildest dreams/enchanted mashup, and that one out of the woods bodysuit that she only wore once for some reason, + the FOREVER iconic rock version of wanegbt BUT THE WAY THE TOUR MOVIE IS EDITED IS SOOOO ANNOYING LIKE IT SWITCHES TO A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE EVERY 2 SECONDS😭 anyway i really do appreciate this tour bc taylor really did give it everything she had, and looking at the miss americana documentary, u can tell it was really hard to have put on that show with what she was going through

fearless tour - this is ranked last but i actually really like this one, its cute. her vocals werent as good as they are currently but idc because this show was so funny,, it had the iconicccc throwing of the red chairs in forever & always and shoudlve said no in the rain!!!!!!!!
