My 6 favourite Scorptra + some little scenes I love

1. "You do care, don't tou?"

The scene that made Catra fully realize that she's not alone and that there is still someone who love her more than anything. Catra was everything for Scorpia.

And the most important thing is that Catra does the most selfless thing she could done: she refuses of Scorpia's help and doesn't let Scorpia set her free, bc she knows it can cause Scorpia troubles and she doesn't want to put Scorpia in the same situation. She doesn't want to be Like Shadow Weaver and doesn't want Scorpia to suffer bc of her.

2. "We could, you know, be happy"

Catra was so stupid for not leaving with Scorpia and Ill stay by it. Also there is no "one-sided" explanation for this. Anyone who says Catra never loved Scorpia, litterally just skipped the entire episode. They were SO in love!

Especially considering the fact that they were suppose to kiss each other at that scene ans I will never forgive Nate for removimg it

3. "You saved me?"

The moment when Catra's feelings for Scorpia startes to grow up. It's when Catra realize that Scorpia saved her, no matter what. Even tho Catra ordered Scorpia not to break the technology, Scorpia did it, bc it would save Catra. She disobeyed the order to protect her and you can read in Catra's eyes that she was shocked that she was THAT dear for someone. It makes even more sence when you remember Catra's words about Adora "You never protected me. Not in any way that would put you on SW's bad side". (no blame for Adora, she's still the best girl ofc) but the thing is that Adora wouldn't disobey to protect Catra from SW, but Scorpia did it and not once. Scorpia truly loved Catra and she would always do everything to protect her.

4. "I will always be there for you"

Even tho Catra doesn't want to ask anyone for help and wants to do everything alone, Scorpia still makes her tell the situation to resolve it together. Bc that's what friends do, Catra doesn't have to deal with this alone.

5. "You're a princess??"

Whatever the cat is this?? They were so iconic in the prom episode!

At first Catra was sympathetic with someone for the first time in the show lol. She asked Scorpia (to ask actually) to go to the prom together! It's already pretty romantic, but have you seen the rest of the scenes?

Also the screenboard where Catra zips Scorpia up lol (they really didn't have to remove it)

6. "We're making a good team!"

Uhhh, just look at them here! They litterally THE girlfriends! Catra never was so flirty with anyone. She blushes as Amity lol. And just look at these EYES!!!

Now heart-breaking scenes, cuz Im evil. S4 was so sad and for what? Im crying...

But since Im not THAT bad, here are some sweet scenes again! Cuz they're still cuties (it was a crime not to give us them in s5 btw, Ill never forgive Nate for this) <3

Partner Swap AU

This one started out as a running gag on Discord but we've talked about it so much I feel like one of us is going to have to crack and actually write it eventually. Posting for the prompt, Totally OOC But Hear Me Out…

This would be your classic broad bedroom style farce but set in the modern day and the bit here is basically all the couples start out wrong and we end up with the canon couples by the end.

Adora and Glimmer accidentally hook up while drunk. They both realize it was a mistake but before they can talk about it, Bow (he lives with Glimmer) walks in. He freaks out, runs. Glimmer chases after him, but can't find him and has to leave for a business trip the next morning. Before she leaves, she calls Adora and tries to explain that she loves Adora like a friend but she loves Bow, but the bad call reception leave Adora with the mistaken impression that Glimmer loves her.

Considering it her duty now to stay with Glimmer so her friend isn't sad, Adora convinces herself she'd be happy with Glimmer... even though she knows there's no passion there like there was with her ex.

While Glimmer is gone, Bow confronts Adora. Adora knew he was in love with Glimmer and he considers it a betrayal that she'd hook up with her. Adora feels guilty but doubles down rather than admit it. Glimmer has free will to hook up with whoever she wants, she says, and, besides, it's his own fault for not acting on his feelings sooner. They fight and Bow decides to be petty and get revenge on Adora sleeping with the love of his life by... sleeping with her brother.

Adam, for his part, is perfectly happy to be part of this scheme as he's looking for a distraction while he nurses what he assumes are unrequited feelings for his friend Teela. Adora, however, is furious at this development (especially since she lives with her brother so there's no escaping the Bowdam hook ups) and decides to get her own revenge. She places a call to Scorpia asking her to find someone to ask out Teela, hoping to make her brother so jealous he ends things with Bow.

Scorpia agrees and calls up on old friend to seduce Teela... Adora's ex Catra.

(And I'm not going to say how it all turns out just in case I write it eventually but it's safe to say we're headed for canon couples endgame, obviously, but there would be a lot of silly antics on the road to getting there.)

Not to start catradora discourse on main but I think my issue with catradora is that y’all wanna see it as a healthy cookie cutter relationship so bad but when it is even in canon it’s so boring and ignores literally everything that happened between them to paint the brush of ‘happy wife happy life’ over it. Like is catradora toxic? Sure I guess by my standards. Is that still fun to see? Absolutely to me. Anyways when it comes to catra as a character my issue with the redemption thing was that catra was always in self preservation mode and extended that to adora; so when her self preservation and protection of adora clashed it fucked her up heavily (see the entire series). But later on when she realized the horde wasn’t shit for her, her self preservation and connection to adora could not only coexist but actually meshed well perfectly and that’s what created the circumstances for her to join the alliance. The issue with that is that nothing in there spoke for catras morality or own moral code. It seemed like to me at any point in the series right up until her own safety and power was genuinely threatened if adora decided in her right mind to join the horde again, catra would be right along with her. And nothing in the final convinced me otherwise which is why I have issue with ppl saying her redemption arc was good or glimmer should’ve forgiven her or whatever. Like again I think that’s FUN! Catra not really caring about the world or humanity, but I think the best endings would’ve either been her actually growing to care (and not just switching sides at the literal last minute when she had no other choice and never reflecting on what she did past hurting adora) or it just being acknowledged that she’s like that and moving on.

#anyways this was brought on by a response to an old tiktok comment #as of now idgaf about catradora #not in a mean way I don’t care for it I don’t have anything against it #I just the argument ‘it’s not toxic!’ is so funny like the thought of her gf meeting her friends sent adora into a panic attack over their #safety #with that in mind I think shipping them is fun anyways #like I don’t think u have to make it less toxic to like it #I mean me personally #but whateverrrrr #also sorry when kids shows start addressing colonialism idgaf about anything else they add in #I don’t think colonialism and genocide should be THEE acceptable kids show topics #in the sense that the only reason that happens is bc they draw on the experiences of real life black and brown ppl #like lil white kids can watch that and not bat an eye #and I refuse that <3 #if u can have a genocidal dictator u can have endgame be toxic idcccc #well not true #kinda true #not getting into it fr in tags #also I have not watched the show in yearsss so if I’m wrong idc

#k so i started watching the shera show just to see if catradora is as bad as people say it is #(because seeing that people hate a ship makes me 200% more invested fyi)#and like. i do Not see it girlies #i do think the show is as shallow as they come and maybe the whole catradora backstory is too much for it #currently on ep 4? 5? of s2 and i'm pretty comfy with the fact that catradora will be endgame #because their dynamic is easily the most interesting one in the show #although crab lady (what was her name....) and catra scratch an itch of mine too #mainly bc i am really into one sided pining #and i like that (oh it's scorpia i remembered) scorpia is the easy option for catra #someone who idealizes her and is already invested in the idea of getting together with her #and catra having this realization of the nature of scorpia's feelings in that episode (4? 5?) like UGH that's some good shit right there #but what stood up to me about the show was how uhhhh like there's so much ship bait everywhere #not in a malicious way. just in the way that there's ship teases for a lot of pairings in the show #like glimmer and adora and bow with uhh everyone (disaster bisexual characters my beloved)#like it just feels very queer positive and casual. i really like that #but yeah. so far i'm not head over heels with catradora but i definitely think it has a lot of potentiak #and the fact that they are the endgame couple is pleasing to me #like IMAGINE identifying the couple with the most potential and making it canon. some other shows could've learned that lesson #oh well! People also love to say that Byler wouldn't be popular if it was a wlw ship. Haven't they heard of big and popular wlw ships in mainstream media like Korrasami, Yumihisu, Haruka/Michiru, Madoka/Homura, Max/Chloe, Ellie/Dina, Catradora, etc?

They probably haven't heard of them, no, and the reason why is that they don't actually care.

This is like Melvins pretending to be super invested in eImax because they didn't want byler to win the script polls, or when they acted like they cared so muck about rockiie all of a sudden just because if an article talking about the importance of byler endgame.

They use wlw as a tool to hide their hatred towards byler because they're homophobic and can't bear the thought of a gay couple happening, so they feel the need to gaslight it's shippers into thinking they're "delusional girls who see love between 2 boys who are just boys because they have a fetish".

while I'm fairly sure they will i don't even care if byler get together in season 5 as long as midleven break up because they're already canon to me. it's obvious that both of them are head over heels in love with each other (if a little repressed) and they're 100% going to get together sometime in the future. whether it's at 18 or 20 or 25 or even 30. it's inevitable. i do however think it's more realistic for it to happen years in the future even if that means a fifteen year slowburn or something because it just makes sense. mike especially needs to learn to be less codependent first and i feel like he needs some time to do that and come to terms with his queerness and everything. as much as it physically pains me to watch it's obvious he still isn't remotely close to doing that by the end of season 4 and these things take so much time to figure out and accept even in today's age (it took me approximately three fucking years) let alone the 80s when it was so much more taboo. plus I want them to go back to their easy friendship and repair that completely first you know? I'll obviously be over the moon if they get together in season 5 (my ideal situation would be they confess their feelings after a season long build up a la catradora and then in a time skip a few years later finally get together) but I also don't think I'll be too upset if they don't as long as That straight ship isn't endgame instead. because I have faith that they will even if they don't explicitly on screen.

what i NEED though is for said straight ship to break up. it actually literally pains me to watch them and they both deserve better and mike clearly does not love el like that and it's such an insult to both of them as individual characters and their arcs and I will actually boycott this show if they're endgame
